Five Star Reviews: | 67% Great shower head! December 27, 2016 The shower head installed very easily; they even give you plumber's tape! I like the very flexible and long hose, and the light weight of the shower head. I like that there is an on/off control on the wand. Be careful of the on/off switch in the handle. I thought my water pressure was low but then realized I had turned the switch on the handle! Ha! The three settings are adequate for my needs. My main concern is the longevity of the product. We'll see how long this one lasts. So far though I really like this shower head! Makes bathing babies and dogs a breeze! June 16, 2014 Purchased this right after our newborn came home from the hospital and realizing how much of a hassle it is to give a baby bath with just a cup to use for rinsing. This makes bathing so much easier and more pleasant. It is also great for giving our dogs indoor baths as well, because using a cup for rinsing in that situation is also a pain. The product was easily assembled by my husband. At first he thought we got a broken one because when he turned the water on, it only trickled out of the head. He quickly discovered the adjustable flow feature at the base of the handle and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to use and adjust. We left out the red water restrictor piece, so if we wanted, we could have it flowing full blast with great water pressure. I love how we can adjust the flow to a gentler, more baby friendly setting.Another great thing is the stainless steel hose. It's not cheap, flimsy plastic like a lot of the other hoses out there. Sometimes wish the showerhead part had a stainless steel finish, as the white color does make it look a little cheap, but it does not affect the quality. All in all, a great product at even greater pricing!*UPDATE - 11/15*Product is still working great, I even purchased one for my parents' house so bathing our toddler there would be easy. A+*UPDATE - 9/17*From all of the flow adjusting that happens between a child's shower/bath and an adult's shower, we have found that the handle starts to leak. Twice now the handle has started spraying water out with force, which would normally signal a broken item. My hubby has been able to fix the issue both times, but due to the nature of the flow adjust (twisting the bottom of the handle), you end up loosening the nut inside the handle that holds everything together. Even with this issue, which took awhile to manifest itself, I think it's a good showerhead. If you don't have tools to fix the problem, you may not feel the same.If you found this review helpful, please click YES or HELPFUL below! Purchase for my mother February 7, 2014 I purchased this for my elderly mother along with a bath bench so that she could sit while showering. She said it took a few times using it to get used to a handheld (which she'd never used before) from a permanent shower head. Now she prefers this handheld sprayer. I also purchased the inexpensive suction cup held holder for this so that she doesn't have to stand up in the bathtub/shower to lather her hair, etc. She merely hooks it onto the holder which we suction-cupped within reach of her bath bench. Works great! Nice product January 31, 2014 I bought a $75 Moen from HD that leaked and wouldn't stay in place. I returned it. I decided to try this cheapo thing. How bad could it be? Well it's pretty nice. Install is a piece of cake (leave out the water choke as one reviewer said). No leaks. Holds nicely and delivers a nice shower. All this plus a long hose to rinse out the neighboring Jaccuzzi. Only wish, it had a nice brushed nickel finish. This was a good deal! works great July 1, 2013 I've got to be honest. The only reason I purchased the AquaSense 3 shower spray with ultra long stainless steel hose is because of the less than $20, price and I only wanted so I could bathe the dogs. But I actually like it. The longer hose makes rinsing my hair so much easier than our current rain shower- shower head. The 'longer hose on this makes it from my shower pipe in the wall to the end of the bathtub with about a foot left over without stretching so it worked out well when I bathed the dog and he ran to the end of the tub. The shower head is lightweight which is a plus for me.There's only 3 settings on this. The first one just uses the center holes so the spray is forceful and concentrated. . I use it for rinsing out the bathtub. The other setting uses the center holes and the outer holes so the spray in the center is more forceful than the outer spray. My husband prefers that setting, and the last setting uses all the holes equally so it's just a normal spray great for showering.Installation is a piece of cake. The give you the plumbers tape to wrap around the pipe so it fits snugly and doesn't leak.. I didn't recognize it as plumbers tape at first, because it's packaged to look like a small spool of thread ) There are large pictures on the directions showing how to put the shower together, but you can easily figure it out just by looking at the unconnected parts. There is a water saver piece. It's red and it's got tiny holes in it so it's easy to identify. I just left it off so I'm not sure how much it would interfere in the water flow from the sprayer. Without it, the spray is normal shower head spray. If you turn your faucet up high, the water pressure in the shower head is more forceful. If you prefer less forceful water, turn your faucet down. You get the picture. There is a piece that you can attach that allows you to turn off the water at the sprayer. You don't need it if you don't want to screw it on. The shower works without it.. I put it on and when I turned the water off using that piece the water still came out of the shower head but not a lot. It didn't completely stop the water but it slowed it down a heck of a lot so it didn't spray all over. That feature came in handy when I had to stop spraying the dog and soap it up. Then when I was ready to rinse the dog, I just turned the little knob again. This product seems like it might last a long time. The shower head itself is lightweight, but it appears sturdy. The hose seems sturdy too and doesn't look like it's going to break any time soon.I think it's a great buy especially for the price.. I've only used it twice so far but if I have any problems or if it breaks, I'll update my review and let you know. Just what I expected January 21, 2013 When I first assembled and installed this, I balked at the amazingly poor water pressure my shower now had. Then I came on amazon and read some reviews. A few other folks had the same problem. Then I did a little research (I did the whole process backwards, right?). If you assemble the sprayer EXACTLY like it is in the main picture here, you will have no low water pressure issues. There's a silver connecting piece that goes from the hand unit to the hose; don't use it. This is the choke on the water pressure. Once I removed that from my assembly, the sprayer worked exactly how I'd hoped it would.HTH | 69% Sturdy Product, Essential Post Surgery September 18, 2017 Sturdy, compact, essential product post hamstring surgery. We needed a toilet within feet of bed post surgery, and this was a good choice overall. Works for elderly mom over her current toilet. September 8, 2017 Worked perfect over my moms toilet at her assisted living apartment. Not using the buckjet, just the splash guard. It is sturdy. Plastic seat is not super rigid. She weighs 105 ,, might not be good for someone over 200. Folds easily for storage. It also has a lid for the waste bucket which is nice March 14, 2017 This commode is actually very well built considering the cost. Even at 3/4 height it is not wobbly and feels secure. It also has a lid for the waste bucket which is nice. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Good Equipment October 17, 2016 It was exactly the right piece of equipment to have at home after knee replacement surgery. It has several height adjustments and when not used breaks down to store for another time. Amazing product came 2 days later its for my 89 ... April 22, 2015 Amazing product came 2 days later its for my 89 year old granny. we have a low toilet and she can't get off once she sits. So Im useing this ov8er the toilet not bed side, this product came easy to assembly no tools required. worth every penny to keep granmas visits to the potty more comfortable. | 65% Great price, quality and delivery! August 20, 2017 Had to get one of these, said I never would! Using two canes was just too dangerous... almost fell in a restaurant... that convinced me. I had it in a couple "work days". easy to assemble and adjust to height. I'm 350#s and it works fine for me when we go out. I also got the "skis" for it. Great value July 2, 2017 Excellent walker for the price. I used this walker after a lower body surgery and it worked great. I really put it through it's paces, also. The folding hinges are a nice feature if you need to travel by car, train or airplane. Worked great for my wife April 22, 2017 Wife used this for her total knee replacement.Worked great. Local medical equipment supplier was like $170 for a similar product. Awesome product for the money. Dad liked this tray April 17, 2017 Dad loved using this tray when he had to use the walker in his home. We found two mugs that fit the hole perfectly so that nothing spilled. The only thing, which was reported by others was the angle was a bit off when it's snapped in. It would tilt down a bit more than expected. Overall a nice tray Well made easy to use and transport March 29, 2017 Sturdy, easy to adjust, nice handles. Easy for my elder dad to handle. He is 135lbs, not a big guy, but also not strong. He is able to move around well after some practice with his PT. Easy to fold up for putting in the car. A good price for a well made product. Here's My Experience with the Drive Medical Deluxe Two Button Walker - Pros & Cons with my own pictures October 19, 2016 Here’s my personal experience setting up and using the Drive Medical deluxe two button folding walker that I just got from Amazon. And I’ve included my own pictures too, to show you what I’m talking about.First, I liked that this Drive Medical folding walker came in flat box that was only 4” deep, which made it really easy to lift, carry up steps and into the house. It was also easy to open the box and slide out the walker. The walker is folded flat, out of the box, and the front wheels and back leg extensions are separated into plastic bags.Putting the legs on this Drive Medical walker was much easier than I thought. And I really love that I put the whole walker together without any tools! You just slide on the front legs (with wheels), and back legs, onto the existing walker legs. And you can adjust this walkers height by aligning the holes in the leg extensions with the locking button on each of the existing walker legs.Really, it was very easy to attach all 4 legs and adjust it to my height. As you can see, I’m pretty short, so I set my walker legs to the #2 position. Now, I gotta say, I was worried about how this walker would fit through my doorways & hallways. A few of my hallways are narrow and I was worried that this walker would be just too wide. BUT, here’s a very helpful solution I really want to share because I think it can help a lot of people: when I was reading reviews of different walkers, I found a great tip on [...] that showed me how to reduce the width of my walker by just switching the wheels! It’s a really EASY fix: just take the front left & right legs, with wheels, and reverse them. And you’ll see that your wheels are now sitting inside the frame of the walker. Not on the outside. By switching the position of the front wheels, I cut down my walker width by almost 4”! And now my hallways are not a problem. I found this easy fix on [...]I tried out the push button release, at the top of the walker, to unfold the two sides. I was happy to see that the red release button was easy to press down. I have a little neuropathy (numbness) in my fingers, so I have to avoid buttons or levers that are hard to press down. But I didn’t have any problems using the red release button on this walker to fold & unfold it.This Drive Medical Walker is light, but it still feels very sturdy to me. The 5” wheels roll smoothly and I don’t see that the wheels have made any marks on my floors. (That’s important to me.)The hand grips on this walker are cushioned and I think anyone would like the way they feel. I’m going to try this walker for a while, and if the neuropathy in my fingers flares up, I can just get inexpensive, even more cushy walker handgrips covers to help. All in all, I really love this foldable walker and I would recommend it to any friend of mine. I guess, the only thing that I think could be improved would be to clearly mark the legs with wheels to show that they should be put on the front of the walker. When I first put on all the legs, I put the wheels on the back. Wrong. It was my mistake, I know, and I could easily fix it, but I think the directions/packaging could have been a little bit clearer. All in all, I think this walker is a winner. In my opinion, it’s a great mix of quality & price. | 61% These hand holds worked perfectly in my elderly parents bathroom ... February 22, 2017 These hand holds worked perfectly in my elderly parents bathroom. The attached amazingly firmly to the tile in the bathroom, both in the toilet alcove and also in the shower. They are sized perfectly for standard 4" tiling. We did have to reposition one handle in the shower, and I was concerned after seeing others have some difficulty in doing that. But for us, it wasn't a problem and the repositioned handle is just as secure as all the others. I bought two - they helped a lot December 2, 2015 I'm a big guy, so I wanted two handles to divide the amount of force when I pull myself up from the shower chair. And having two of them helps A LOT.Also, it's nice having them there to help me steady myself when I'm standing up.The cups really grab the hard, shiny fiberglass. Even so, I check them when I first get in the shower.Highly recommended! Very effective sturdy grab bars May 31, 2015 Very effective sturdy handles that can be applied to any smooth surface to provide a hand hold for balance. It is especially effective in the modern single piece plastic molded bath tubs and showers. The handles are held in place by air pressure. To attach the handle, the levers at each end are raised, the unit is placed against the surface and the levers depressed..A vacuum is created which holds the handle in place. Unlike grab bars that fasten with screws, these handles can be attached without piercing or marking the surface to which it is attached. Likewise the handle can be relocated as needed.. Sticks in place like it was part of the wall! April 20, 2015 Since some of the reviews here referenced situations where the suction would come loose or not hold at all, I was apprehensive about purchasing this grab bar. I went to my local Home Depot to try checking one out in person, and they had the exact product in stock. I took it out of the box, attached it to an adjacent fiberglass shower enclosure, and it stuck like it had been glued in place with industrial adhesive! Taking it home and placing it on 6-inch tiles, it held with the same ferocity as the fiberglass surface at the store; it has been in place for two weeks, with no indication of coming loose. Very secure for our needs. For reference, the center-to-center distance between suction cups is about 8-1/4-inches, with the cup diameter approximately 4-inches each. I feel that many of the issues others have had with sticking have been due to improper installation. You must push in on the cup ends about 1/8-inch towards the mounting surface BEFORE securing the clasp, otherwise it will just fall off the wall. Long story short, this is an excellent product, and I will be purchasing another shortly for our second bathroom. Highly recommended! SUCTION Issues NO MORE with KES mounting discs!! :^) January 2, 2015 This at a GREAT suction balance bar for an elderly parent in the shower!!! BUT... just as others have found.. most of us have had those blasted suction-cups release at the darnedest times! (when you need them to work!) Eureeka!! A MUST buy is also:KES Adapter Plate 95mm Circular Adhesive Dash / Mounting Disc with 3M Adhesive, Polished Stainless Steel, 2 Pieces or 1 Pair,... also sold here at Amazon. (I hunted through all the hardware stores, ugh..and lo-and-behold... they were here!) These work with any other suction-cup bars I have used.Caring for an elderly parent is challenging enough.. Do yourself a favor and chalk one more concern off. Amen.ADDITIONAL help info: I noted that one of my 4 seals was starting to be compromised after about a year ... aka.. the disk was beginning to start, ever so slightly, to pull away from the shower tile... (It had received some tugs and full weight pulls) I was able to restore the seal by using the hair dryer to remove any moisture that may have snuck behind and also warm up the adhesive. Putting on some even pressure for a minute, and all was good. No more issues. All the other disks doing yoeman service! Good luck to all! You are not alone.(Glad to hear this info is helpful to others :^) IT REALLY WORKS! April 28, 2013 I bought this for my Mother who is 95. She was afraid to put any weight on the handle so I told her to use it just for balance as I gave her a shower. I had to remind her a few times not to hang on too tight, but it never moved while she was holding on to it. She is really happy that I bought it and she said she doesn't feel like she is going to fall all the time anymore. I installed it the night before my Mom was to use it. I had read where this type of product had sometimes fallen off the shower wall after a short time and some had not even been used yet. My Mom is very frail and I was so afraid it would come off while she was holding onto it. It has not come off or even budged since I put it on the shower wall. I always check it and make sure it is attached securely before she takes her shower. I highly recommend the Moen LR2308W. I am very pleased with this product and I hope you will be too. |
Four Star Reviews: | 14% Great buy. September 18, 2017 Easy to install just like others have stated and I love how long of a reach it has. I wish it did come with an additional holder that could be attached to the wall at a lower level being that I'm short and it's a chore with my back putting it up in place and taking it down to use as a handheld. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, I did leave the red piece out like others noted to improve the water flow. Still to I wish the flow was just a little stronger but can change the settings and I like that. I do miss the stronger flow from my other shower head but love ease of using this as a hand held. Pretty good for the price. June 17, 2017 Product is as described. Easy to install (provided your existing setup isn't to blame). The extra long hose is nice, we use it with our baby's bathtub, reaches far enough to make bathtime easy without too much excess. The middle setting isn't too harsh for baby and he seems to enjoy it. Would prefer if the pipe portion was metal, not sure how long the plastic will hold up. Your mom will like it. July 9, 2015 I got this for my mother, who likes to sit in the tub and wash her hair before filling the tub with bathwater. This handheld shower has a nice, long slinky hose. Plenty long enough to hook to the soap dish with the portable grip. The hose is stainless steel and quite flexible, being made with links instead of the stiffer mesh I've seen on some other hoses. There is an on/off switch to stop the flow of water while attending to tasks like scrubbing hair. The picture at the top is apparently of an older model that used a button. The customer supplied image is accurate: it is a twist nozzle now. If there are any weak spots in the assembly, that on/off switch will be your leak test. The water has nowhere to go but back out whatever spot is not adequately covered. And on that note, I highly recommend you to use your own plumber's tape instead of the straggly bit they give you in the package. Also, even though this unit is supposed to be tool-free installation, I recommend using a wrench to tighten the connections. If you want higher water pressure, I will chime in with everybody else to recommend leaving the red washer out of the assembly, because that red piece will slow the flow of water by quite a bit. The shower head itself is of a decent size and has the usual three massage settings: misty rain, hard rain and drill a pothole rain. I CAN ENJOY A GOOD SHOWER. March 1, 2015 This hand-held shower is adjustable three ways - focused pulsing stream, diffused but more penetrating streams along the outside of the shower head, and a softer, diffused rain-shower type of stream. The shower head can also be turned off (mostly) by rotating a shut-off valve at the bottom of the shower wand. I say mostly, because mine still allows some water to leak into the tub. This is a mixed blessing: I find the hot water accumulates and gravitates to the shower head, so when you turn the water back on you'll want to be sure to allow the water to run into the tub or shower stall for maybe 20-30 seconds to even out the water temperature again so you don't get scalded by hot water. I do very much appreciate the 80" hose, which allows me to sit at the farthest back position in my tub and still reach all my body parts, especially my back. I also look forward to using it to bathe my dog as soon as the weather warms a bit -- I'll be able to really reach her underside, which I couldn't really with the shorter hose my last shower wand sported. My water bill has dropped a bit, also, since using this shower wand because I installed the device that cuts water usage while still providing adequate water to bathe. The hose was very easy to put together and install -- without tools of any kind. It does not leak at the water pipe. I am very pleased, and were it not for what I consider a safety issue with scalding water would give it five stars. I'm not sure how the manufacturer could fix this problem -- it may just be a fact of hot and cold water mixing. very good inexpensive replacement shower head September 28, 2014 there are things i like, things that could be better. guess you can say that about anything you buy. well we love the fact this has the extra long hose that does not curl. often you will find inexpensive replacement 'telephone' showers, only to find out they have a VERY cheap plastic hose (colored to look like metal) or a plastic hose inside a cheap metal casing and as you may know with plastic tubing - it is kind of like a wire...after it has been curled into a circle and remained in that position for some time, it tends to remain in that position. that is true for anything manufactured and placed into a coil. but this shower hose appears to be real metal on the outside (probably a plated metal) over a rubber hose and the result is a hose that hangs perfectly down when the shower is in the cradle. many times with the 'cheap' showers the 'curl' i was talking about will cause the shower head to 'rotate' to face the wall or the shower curtain.things we love: long non curling hose, comes with the pipe tape for the threads so it won't leak (not yet anyhow), fits snugly in the cradle, assembles easily. water pressure is OK (don't put in the 'water saver' device) - but the disappointment in the pressure is probably our water pressure and not the shower head.things that could be better: only 2 options for shower. 1 is the traditional 'rain' you would expect. not sure what the other setting is supposed to be. maybe a 'water pik' massage setting? doesn't really work for us, but we are in an older home built in the 70's and the mains are probably on 1/2 inch and that results in a lower pressure. the other thing we did not like was the 'shut off' that comes with the shower. the box would indicate a 'lever' for an on off. what you get is a TWIST on/off for the water flow. benefits of the 'lever' kind? you can stop the flow with one hand. benefits of the twist kind? NOTHING. requires 2 hands to shut it off.overall, we are very pleased. only gets 4 stars because of the 'twist off/on' water stop on the shower head Not that difficult but I wouldn't call it easy and definitely not tool free. but it does come with the teflon tape. July 20, 2014 First off, the people who said you don't need tools are clearly stronger than meSecondly, anyone who said it is simple is more used to this stuff than me.BUT most importantly - it comes with a little spool of teflon tape so that is something you don't need to buy separately. On the other hand if you don't have a wrench - unless you are reallly strong and/or coordinated - you are going to need one.So it comes in pieces. If you are like me and think "simple" and "easy" means "just screw one part on" then know that it isn't quite that simple or easy. There are four main parts and three what I think are washers and one screen type of thing. I'm not sure which connections require the teflon tape, I'm going with just the one coming out of the wall. All in all though it's maybe a half hour job. Unless you need to go buy a wrench and hope the four dollar one at the drugstore is good enough. All in all, it's doable. Don't really expect it to last forever but for the price if I can get a couple of years out of it I'll consider it a deal. | 16% Very helpful September 14, 2017 I ordered this because of my bad knees, I need my hands on the arm rests for to help me stand. It serves the purpose. It's a little snug between the rails to get my arm back there. Where there's a will there's a way. Good and strong but not very wide June 10, 2017 Good and strong but not very wide. Probably works better on an elongated toilet than on a standard round one. I still recommend it. Nice May 25, 2017 I'd have given this product 5 stars, but it arrived without a seat. I phoned Drive Medical. They asked for my proof of purchase, which I sent immediately and they delivered the seat within a week, 5 business days. It's slightly on the small side (width and depth-wise) which is fine, but definitely not for a large person nice commode May 13, 2017 Ended up not needing it, but hey, thats a good thing. Arrived fast, and easily set up, seems sturdy, and comfortable. Compact and folds for taking on trips. Seat does ... May 1, 2016 Compact and folds for taking on trips. Seat does feel a bit small but generally works for my small in stature elderly mother. When not traveling we have it as a riser above a home bathroom toilet where we removed the toilet's seat and put this commode over it. so far its great March 16, 2016 I bought this, after much reading.... I am preparing for recovery from a nasty surgery where I will not be able to get up and down so easy. all the toilets we have are already are the "comfort" height, which are about 2 inches taller than standard bowls. you still have some leg use to get up and down. this chair brings the seat up to about 22 inches at the highest setting. I am 5 1/2 ft tall and that works good for me. I took a lot of photos to help show more detail and how this fit in my spaces. my bathrooms are all code size (how close the toilet can be placed to walls etc.... ) so it gives you a good idea of how this will fit for you in a tighter space. now I need to say this fits me well but I am not a big person, I have 35 inch hips, I had lots of room side to side. the arms are 18 inches from one side to the other , they do not come off. I am going to try to find a larger person to see if they fit and post it up, so others can shop with more knowledge too. this was easy to assemble, the seat was the hardest part to "snap" in place, my hands give me trouble, if your not very strong in the hands, ask a friend or someone younger to help you. it comes with instructions that are easy enough to figure out, I did not need them. there are brass "buttons" that fit in openings to adjust the legs up and down.this fit both my elongated and round toilet. I did have to stuff the shield into the elongated seat to get it to line up but that was no problem at all. the elongated bowl sticks out front a tiny bit, its not in the way at all. I find it quiet stable, it will wiggle a bit if you really move around but it did not tip or slide. and trust me, I gave it a good wiggle to be sure ( I can not risk a fall after my surgery) I even did a few chair dips on the handles, they held my full weight up and down. (full weight dressed is 125# for reference) I am currently in good health for the first test.I will add to this after my surgery and I use it while in extreme pain and tell you how it went. go see my (way too many) photos and decide if this looks right for you.UPDATE: this was very handy, I found it to be sturdy to use easy to get on and off and easy to keep clean. I even used it in the shower to clean up when I could not stand yet, came in very handy. I would recommend this. I never used the bucket or the lid. | 16% Perfect for getting around July 1, 2017 Lightweight. Perfect for getting around. A little noisy but no big deal. Excellent concept May 28, 2017 Plus of the product is that it does not block the entire opening of the walker so the user can stand correctly within the walking space of the walker. Minus of the product is that the tray does not lie completely level when in use....at least we have not been able to get it to do so even using walker by same manufacturer. great for a small woman like me March 4, 2017 Not for a large person but wow, great for a small woman like me! And 70$ LESS than the one we got at the medical supply store. It also fits through the doors around my (very old) house a lot better. I got one for my car too! Very pleased March 2, 2017 Great product, and easy to put together. The only problem is that for some reason, it's not perfectly level, but we managed to figure out a work around (an extra cap on the problem leg). It's very sturdy and has been a great help. Things that make you go HUM! June 22, 2016 Bought for husband for hip surgery has worked out great. Reversing the wheels was a must for us or he could not get through doors in our house. As for the seller and shipping????? Surgery was moved up so I contacted seller assured me it would be there like that day I got reply. Got it the day after. Shipped from a totaly different place. Things that make you go HUM! Shipped Fed Ex came with the box totaly wide open. I mean flapping in the wind open! Just held my breath to see if all parts were there. No instructions! Lucky I guess they were cuz I got it together. We were down to the wire with needing it so...Counting my blessings. Sturdy, light weight walker September 25, 2015 Such a sturdy and light weight walker. I've used this for a month now. It is easy for me to fold it up, put in the car myself and get into the car. The only challenge was when I bought skis and tennis balls to put on the bottom after seeing it recommended on Amazon to buy this together. This is so it glides along better. I couldn't get the bottoms off. A few people said they had to cut them off, sounds like a bad idea. Or they took it apart and pushed a rod through the hole and pushed it out. This is why I gave it 4 stars. It shouldn't be this difficult. Especially since I bought the recommended Drive products to go with this. | 12% Extra hand hold for tub exit January 1, 2017 Very good grippers but won't work on marble tile. Not sure about glass? Holds tight on tubs and surrounds. But they are for balance, not for support. Real grab bars must be properly installed with blocking behind tile anyhow. This is no substitute for that. But a great help for getting out of tub. Works well December 7, 2016 Once you find the proper surface it sticks like magic. One of my showers has tiles that are too small for it to stick properly but the other works like a charm. I have to use this to get in and out of the shower due to a hip replacement and it functions perfectly. It looks nice also - rather classy. Good product June 10, 2016 I really like Moen products. I used this as an interim solution while I waited for permanent grab bars to be installed. It held securely but I tried not to put to much weight on it for fear of pulling the tile off the shower wall. It certainly helped me with balance but would not trust it for a heavy pull - not because of any problem with the product but concern for the tile. Suction works very well January 19, 2016 I tried it on a ceramic wall, and the suction lasted about 24 hrs. Actually not bad for a semi smooth surface, I am sure it would have been better on a glass surface, . The place where it would have worked best was out of reach for my wife and i had to return it.Otherwise it would have been very handy. Safe and easy bath bar. November 6, 2015 This has been on our tub shower wall for over three weeks and has not loosened a bit. Nicely made and sturdy. We have 4 inch tiles and it fits fine. Would recommend testing it each time and refastening it occasionally.Very satisfied. Wonderful and reliable. July 4, 2015 I cleaned both the tiles of the shower stall and the suction cups of this handle with alcohol and clear water prior to placing it in position, just to make sure everything was totally without soap scum or other unseen elements. Wonderful! It adheres much better than I had ever hoped!I would give it 5 stars in the reliable use category but the looks are somewhat cumbersome and I deducted one star just on the aesthetics. However, reliable use is of more importance. |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% Just okay October 9, 2017 Bought this to use in the shower for our dogs. It works okay, but the pressure is pretty low. It hasn’t leaked or broken, but we don’t anticipate it lasting for years. We are satisfied with the product overall for the price we paid. ... said this was awful and that the instructions were terrible with one piece not even necessary May 3, 2017 our plumber said this was awful and that the instructions were terrible with one piece not even necessary. It works, and that matters but doesn't make me feel good to hear a plumber say this Ok product like the fact you can turn off water on the ... March 6, 2017 Ok product like the fact you can turn off water on the sprayer handle but the hose bust shortly after using it a few times and had to by a new hose. Long hose is great for washing the pets. Great for the price... November 30, 2016 For the price, it great and it works. My wife had surgery and I needed to buy a lot of things at one time. The quality it OK... if I paid more I could get better quality, but if you looking for save some money and get something that works well - get this!!! The head drips a little and I am sure it will need to be replaced in a few months, but for now it works fine and happy we were able to get it. Looks like the shut off mechanism is defective because the water ... December 20, 2015 I purchased this item for my elderly mom. Looks like the shut off mechanism is defective because the water does not completely turn off. I tried adding plumbers tape but its not leaking from the base or knob. Water just continues to run slower from the sprayer. The water should completely turn off according to the item description. Would like the manufacturer to reach out to me. Maybe it needs a replacement part. What a shame. Would be great if it works as intended. I would invest in something better. January 5, 2015 I wanted to wait a month or two before reviewing this product so that I could see if it is durable. I'm giving it three stars. The pluses are that it is inexpensive (and not a total piece of garbage) and has a long hose. The negative is that it has started leaking water near the bottom of the handle. I guess for the price I understand that it's not the most durable showerhead in the world, but I thought I'd get more than a month's worth of use out of it before it started leaking. If you're looking for something temporary and cheap, this is for you. If you're planning on relying on it for many years to come, I would invest in something better. | 7% Usable but not right size September 21, 2017 Unfortunately I didn't do enough research. This is too small, in seat depth, for my large husband. I kept it, though, for future use for someone. Convenient with the folding ability but not as sturdy as was hoping for September 16, 2017 Convenient with the folding ability but not as sturdy as was hoping for. Product states holds up to 350lbs my father is 280lbs and he didnt feel very secure on it. Its a nice product for smaller people I would not recommend this for any bigger people. Laser-guided bowel movements? April 8, 2016 Hey, I'll review anything. My beef with this thing is that the target zone is small, even with the seat raised. With the seat down, target acquisition becomes a form of marksmanship. Unless you own a supermodel's micro-butt, you'll need to raise both the seat cover and the seat itself to settle in semi-comfortably on the metal frame. Sitting on the frame isn't all that uncomfortable, and when you consider the alternatives ....... | 7% Good walker as long as you don't have any 24 inch doors in your house or apartment. September 24, 2017 The walker is 20 inches wide at the top and without the wheels attached; when you mount the wheels the walker exceeds 24-25 inches. This makes the walker unable to be guided through a standard 24 inch door. Many houses have 24 inch doors leading to a bathroom toilet.Measure all your doors that the user will need to transverse. Any door 24 inches or less.....you are out of luck with this walker! Finally, I contacted customer service to inquire if the wheels could be removed and reinstalled on the interior instead of the exterior---the answer was NO. Last, I suggested that they design a walker that would not exceed 20-22 inches with the wheels installed. good and bad features September 1, 2017 It is light which I like but too light for outdoors on brick or cracked pavement. Hard to control then. Easily put into back seat of car. It is narrow so not suitable of a man or large woman. Better for indoor use and the narrowness makes it easy to maneuver and move through doors and into closets and bathrooms. Rather have gotten different type that rested flat and could be more easily removed and put back on May 25, 2017 Hard to put on. Tends to rest at an angle so things slide off. Rather have gotten different type that rested flat and could be more easily removed and put back on. If folded down and left on for transport walker does not fold and store well and tray occasionally comes loose. and have been very satisfied. This Driver walker is wobbly March 3, 2017 I've had 3 Drive rollators - one for indoors, a smaller and a larger for outdoor uses, and have been very satisfied. This Driver walker is wobbly, squeaky, unsteady and rather frightening OK...BUT... October 4, 2016 OK...BUT...did not last. Not sure how long a walker should last but one side of the top push button mechanism broke after 2 months and that makes it very awkward to put into the car. I have been so busy with my Mother that had a stroke that I did not have a chance to return it or contact customer service so I can't say if the company would have made good on it or not. If not for the broken mechanism I would give it 5 stars. Seems it may be easy for the tray to slip out of the locking ... July 5, 2016 Doesn't fit my sister's Drive walker very well. Side pieces that clamp on are not as wide as walker so they bend out. The locking mechanism for the tray seems a bit light weight. Seems it may be easy for the tray to slip out of the locking slot on the sides, which would cause it to flip and spill it's contents. Overall not the best made product, but I think it will work for a while. | 7% Quality seems spotty February 3, 2017 Bought two, one has worked perfectly the other arrived with only a semi-working lock and after a couple of weeks, both locks on that one stopped working. Had to purchase a replacement, can't really recommend. No help from falling June 10, 2016 They work for balance but I would be afraid if disabled hubby grabbed them to keep from falling as they do pop off. He just went to jiggle it to make sure it was secure before we got him into the shower & it just came right off the wall with no effort. For safety, you need something permanent, these proved it. Okay for us. May 21, 2016 Well, it mostly worked, It did fall off the smooth shower surround a few times. This worked for my teen son, because I told him to make sure it was firmly attached every time before using it to steady himself while he was non weight bearing on one leg. I wouldn't be confident enough to use it for an elderly person, who might forget that testing it first thing. as we start out looking good, however release is eventually the result on the ... March 27, 2016 We purchased both the 3m product to place on wall for supreme connection (that was fine), however, do not put this over a heat vent, as we start out looking good, however release iseventually the result on the bar.I hope to have another try, in my own home with this product, after I re/purchase the 3M discs to see if it may work better in a cooler area. Use with extreme caution March 4, 2016 This a good product, even though I gave it a three star rating. It is a clever idea and can be helpful. But the user needs to be fully aware that this simply a tool and could slip or detach when trying to use it. Attaching it to a surface can be deceptive if not using the right surface and if not completely pressed on, before engaging the suction device. Use with caution, but never-the-less a good idea and can be helpful in certain events. Strong, but... December 21, 2015 Wanted for shower accesibility. Very well made, but.....the ends are large and need large shower tiles to work safely. Small tiles won't work as it disrupts suction ability. |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% The shower head is fine but the cable is completed rusted November 5, 2017 bought this for my beach house. The shower head is fine but the cable is completed rusted. not sure if it would rust in a shower however my outdoor shower it is almost toast. Poor Quality - Two Broke in 4 years February 5, 2017 This is a great price. I love that the hose is extra long; one of the main reasons I bought this. However, I've bought 2 of these shower heads in the past four years and both have broken at different spots. I thought that maybe I was just unlucky when the first broke but, sure enough, the second was of equal quality. This is NOT durable and one really does get what they pay for. I will not be buying another one of these shower heads. cheap, didnt last long, no instructions August 6, 2016 Cheap, didn't last long. Flimsy and started leaking at the head.I don't normally complain about the lack of instructions as most things are intuitive and can be easily figured out. However, the way this thing is put together and all of the parts that it comes with...they really should have included assembly instructions. I was left with a few extra parts of unknown use once I got the thing installed. It worked fine, seemingly as intended. But, what were the extra parts for? - I don't know... Adapter needs redesign. January 27, 2016 The adapter to which the hose attaches is poorly designed. The end of the hose that attaches to the adapter requires two washers and the flow restrictor in-between. When I tried to attach that end to the adapter, it would not engage the threads of the adapter. I had to remove the flow restrictor and one washer to get it to connect. Otherwise it works fine but this was very frustrating. The cheap plastic holder is not designed to properly fit ... November 27, 2015 The cheap plastic holder is not designed to properly fit the metal octagon connector. This allows it, the shower handle, to slide in and out, basically fall out, when the water pressure is beginning or fluctuating such as during a toilet flush or dishwasher beginning a cycle. So, inevitably it falls out and causes one helluva scare and mess to my invalid father who was trying to shower himself. As always, caveat emptor. Judge for yourself. I will purchase another product which is more suited to my needs. and unscrewing this connection was enough to destroy the threads on the coupling rendering it useless.. September 28, 2015 Definitely get what you pay for, the fitting is *very* cheap (the coupling was already cracked upon removing it from the package). Definitely needs the included plumber's tape to avoid leaks - this caused a bit of a problem, as I did not put it on the joint between the hose and the upper coupling at first, and unscrewing this connection was enough to destroy the threads on the coupling rendering it useless... so, get it right the first time and you'll be OK. Got it to work by just hooking the hose up directly to the showerhead pipe, but now it's just dangling into the tub. Yay. Just got it as a dog washer, so this is OK, and I guess you can't expect too much for something so inexpensive. | 4% I received my item, when I opened it the ... July 7, 2017 This product is a lot smaller than it appears...especially the width. Not ideal for a man. There is a no return policy which I did not realize prior to ordering...my fault for not checking closer. Not simple and easy to fold up or unfold October 24, 2016 Not simple and easy to fold up or unfold, anyone with any issues with their hands or like my wife fibromyalgia cannot do this, it is NOT SIMPLE Perhaps the one I received was defective but it was ... October 23, 2016 Perhaps the one I received was defective but it was wobbly and not at all secure enough for someone already wobbly themselves post ankle surgery. All legs were securely attached, there was just give in where the joints go into one other causing the wobbliness. | 4% No One Likes IT August 3, 2017 No one likes it. We had a much smoother model that was easier to open and close. We are a caregiving family and the dislike is unanimous Check the dimensions!! July 15, 2017 Walker is great but was too short!! If you are going to order this make sure to look at the dimensions. We wanted to return it but it would have cost more to return it with shipping. Stinky Walker December 27, 2016 The hand grips on this walker emit an unpleasant odor making in necessary to store the device in the garage until the odor dissipates; not what we wanted when a family member needs help walking. disappointed May 16, 2014 I was so looking forward to having the independence this tray would offer. How disappointed I was to find that, the oneI received did not work. It did not lie flat, when the tray was put in the up position. It was so tilted that without the rim, onthe tray, everything would slide off. Since there did not seem to be anyway to fix it, I had to send it back. I did like the ideaof the metal grips, that hold the tray onto the walker, and perhaps I just got a bad one. I was trying to us it on a Drive walker, just like the one in the illustration. | 5% Disappointed! January 3, 2017 Followed directions to installation. Initially, it didn't want to adhere well. (Have tiled shower like most.) Finally, got the bar securely on the wall.....or so we thought. We've only had this a couple months & last night the handle just came crashing down @ 2:30a.m. scaring the h%ll out of us! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product. Not Feeling Safe With It June 16, 2016 Hard plastic, not that I thought it would stay on the fiberglass shower wall forever, but I surely thought it would stay put for a few weeks, but it came down within a day. My mom does not feel comfortable using it for a security reach bar. I can't say I don't blame her. She doesn't have the strength to place it on the wall because it takes a pretty good amount of push to lock it in place. Not for marble, maybe something else. March 17, 2016 We have marble tiles in our shower. These would not stick to them. We tried a few other brands at the same time and none of them worked either. This one worked marginally better than the others. Just not the solution for us.No problems with returning it. If you aren't using it on marble, go ahead and give it a try. Does not stick to the wall. Fell off with ... January 1, 2016 Does not stick to the wall. Fell off with no one in the shower several times. I have large tiles in the bath so grout lines were not a factor. Felt this product was very unsafe for my grandmother. Would not buy again, or if you use it for someone, make sure it is put on the wall at the time of each shower. Not so good July 27, 2015 refuses to stay on the wall even with the disks I purchased at additional cost. Longest stay on the wall was 2 days. I would not recommend this or any suction bars July 20, 2015 These look well made but if you are buying them for an elderly person they will not be safe. It says on the package " Check the suction assist bar to make sure it is securely attached before each use." For the elderly who might not remember to check it before each use, it can and I know from personal experience, will come off in their hands if it is not re-secured every time. These are very dangerous for elderly living alone. I got a refund but they made me pay for the shipping. I would not recommend this or any suction bars, they just can't be trusted. |
One Star Reviews: | 8% This shower head leaks and spray, it was disappointing ... August 27, 2017 This shower head leaks and spray, it was disappointing because I had been waiting for my son to install it for me. It comes set and there is no way to adjust it. It was advertised to have 3 modes and it states on the box, showing pictures of each mode. I contacted Aquasense to discuss the leaking and spraying and to hopefully discover how to change modes. The technician told me that the box was not marked right and there is another model that does have 3 modes but not the model I have. He said that he would contact the company about the mix up in the packaging. My son installed it for me, as I am disabled. I want to return it to Amazon but cannot do so until he returns. He lives in WA and I live in OR. He has been coming to help me once a month. He will be back the 3rd weekend in September to undo it so I can return it. I am going to request a return label. All plastic construction with quality issues. June 13, 2017 I ordered this and found that while it was easy to install, the flimsy product did not let any water through with any kind of pressure. I had to return it because it was defective. It's all plastic construction. The instructions were easy though..... A Piece of Junk December 8, 2016 I spent a half hour installing this shower head because one reviewer said it was good for bathing her dog. Bingo, I want to bathe my dog. After installing it correctly, a stream of water the size of a string came out the shower head. Hmmmm, I decide to remove the red restrictor which immediately jumped out of my hand and went down the drain (I know, always block the drain). Tried it again and got a water stream the size of a small straw. Took the thing apart, checked all the connections, blew through the hose, and tried one more time in case I was dreaming the first two times. I wasn't. This handheld shower head is a piece of junk (anything that doesn't work right is a piece of junk in my estimation). Don't buy it!!! Since I've lost the restrictor, I decided I had to take the hit and not return it--maybe the long hose can be used for something in the future or maybe I'll just save some pain and throw it all in the trash. I'm not a "review writer", but AquaSense deserves the bad review for this item!!! Do not buy this product November 5, 2016 I like that the hose is long and appears to be high quality. However I was not impressed with the plasticky fittings. From day one the seals were never really great, even with plumbing tape applied to the threads. A lot of tightening helped the situation a lot, but it still wasn't 100% leak free. I use this to give my baby a bath and turn the water to 'nearly' off from the shower head knob while I'm washing him. What's been happening recently is when I turn the ring to stop the water flow, it loosens the connection from the hose to the shower head itself and water starts spraying out from there. The on/off has never been easy to turn, so I'm not really surprised that it's happening now. Overall I suppose at this price you get what you pay for.UPDATE - Just a day after I wrote my review, the metal hose decided to break, causing water to spray everywhere. I take back what I previously said about the metal hose 'appearing' to be high quality. This is now a definitely not recommended product. 2nd Time I purchased new fittings didn't work... cracked after 5 days use November 5, 2016 I purchased this product for a 2nd time because the first one I ordered lasted 2 years with no issues. The 2nd time they didn't send it with the proper fittings so I had to use parts of the older model that were still intact to assemple it properly. Then after 5 days use the wand part that connects to the hose cracked. I noticed other reviews that mention not having the proper fittings and reviews that took note of the different quality control on the product that gets sent out. This was my review for the first product that was sent to me.... had to change it so other buyers are aware:5 starsLasted 2 years..... just reordered another one because I dropped it for the 10th or 11th time and this time it cracked. my fault. great product. Be very gentle when installing...cheap January 8, 2014 Be VERY gentle when installing the adapter to the faucet pipe. It will easily crack...use the plumbers tape for sure or it will leak.I made it work properly because I took gentle care with the installation. I suggest looking for something else. The ultra long hose is nice though. | 4% Useless piece of plastic January 31, 2017 If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't buy this item. The seat was crack when I took it out of the box. Useless piece of plastic. Unfortunately, not worth the trouble of returning it. I bought this for my dad who is suffering from cancer and has gotten to the point of where it is difficult for him to get to the bathroom in time during the night. Now I have to try to figure something else out. :/ Do Not Buy This Junk November 29, 2016 This chair is light-weight, designed for a child. It should be advertised as such. Junk. Do Not Buy This Junk. Very disappointed-expected better service. November 9, 2016 I ordered the grey one but the stand for the buckets, lid & seat came in green. As a result the bucket did not fit on the stand & the seat kept moving away from the bucket. Very disappointed-expected better service. Received Damaged Item - Quality control issue with this company July 13, 2016 Received a defective product. Back support cannot be attached because hole to insert pole is damaged, misshapen. Not worth the bother of returning item since cost is not exorbitant and I recycled shipping box before I put it together and discovered it was damaged. This was to be used by my elderly mother and now item is not safe to use. Very disappointed. | 8% Buyer Beware July 14, 2017 This product is apparently not eligible for return. Be aware that not all walkers are the same width and measure first. I'm now stuck with a useless tray. I guess I'll donate this one and order another one for my wife. Tray made by Drive for its own walker Does Not Fit! July 5, 2017 The tray model number 10125 does NOT fit on the walker, model number 10228G. This is despite the tray being advertised on the Drive Co website and on the box containing the tray. That is, both items are made by Drive, are supposed to fit each other and do not! Adding insult to inconvenience and expense, Amazon refuses to accept returns on this item. So I am stuck without a tray while my wife needs during recovery from hip replacement surgery, am out $25, and have no clear way getting a tray that will work. Drive and Amazon are both at fault in this. NOT FAIR, NOT HONEST, NOT COMPETENT! DO NOT ORDER UNLESS YOU KNOW ABSOLUTELY THAT IT WILL FIT YOUR WALKER - AMAZON WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS June 26, 2017 if you don't know that it will fit the walker you have DO NOT ORDER - as Amazon will accept returns. So now we have a tray that will not fit her walker. It was never used and now it's useless. No where on the description did it state that I could not return this if it did not fit. Does not fit on specified walker without modifications April 15, 2017 Had to be modified to fit the DRIVE WALKER even though it was designed for that specific walker. Without modifications, the tray DIDNOT FIT SNUGLY to the walker. Dissatisfied purchase of walker tray. December 21, 2016 This is the worst purchase I have ever bought from amazon. I purchased this for my 85 year old mother. It is dangerous as it puts too much weight on the front of the walker and tries to tip it over when it is in the folded down position. Would love to return it. Used it for a couple of hours and put it right back in the box it came in. Poor Workmanship January 20, 2016 Hard to install clips to walker legs. The screw, which allows the tray to fold, kept backing out, making it very unstable. Would like to have a few more square inches added to the tray surface. A decent concept but poor workmanship. It is being returned even as we speak. | 15% these "grab" bars lose their "grip" in < 5 minutes = total waste of money October 17, 2017 Regardless of location, these "grab" bars lose their "grip" in < 5 minutes = total waste of money! I would've returned them, but the build of our custom shower took longer than expected to complete, thus I did not try using them until after my window of time to return had already expired. Dangerous January 11, 2017 Dangerous. Bar was installed in my elderly parents shower, flat wall, no reason for it not to "stick". It seemed firm and in place, but just hours later, simply just fell off. I am afraid this could cause falls. Not recommended at all. careful... They don't stick April 24, 2016 They don't stick to tile well. Be careful. We bought these to make shower time more fun😉, but their are a lot of people who buy these for mobility and I would not trust this product. Unsafe. March 4, 2016 This product is not worth the money.About a month after installing it, it came crashing down with no weight placed on it.I'm glad my mom didn't fall while using it.Do not buy this item for the safety of those using your shower.im dissappointed that I can no longer return it but I hope this saves your from a bad fall. BEWARE IT IS DANGEROUS AND DOES NOT STICK. March 3, 2016 BEWARE! Instructions clearly say attach to tile not on grout line. Also do not attach to painted wall. Bar fell off after 3 minutes. I found it to be very dangerous and happy it fell off prior to my using it. I tried to get it to attach many times following the directions. I shipped it back. Moen LR2308W Home Care 12 -Inch Suction Balance Assist Bath Grip, Glacier July 9, 2013 I heard rumors about these that the suction could let go and that you don't want for an elderly patient in a shower. Well, it did happen to my 90 year old mother and fortunately she was not hurt. Drill them into the wall to insure staying on! Too dangerous with the elderly! |
