Pleased With It

This is really a handy device for use in the shower for folks who have any kind of difficulty standing or as a luxury for those who prefer to have a seat available. It would fit in most showers or tub showers. Solid but not heavy. Minimal assembly. All you need to do is fit the bottom legs in and adjust for height desired. I placed duct tape over the holes so water would not get inside the legs. Thanks to other reviewers for mentioning that had happened with theirs. The seat swivels, you just push a latch which is easy to move.
Excellent product for the price and easy assembly!
November 24, 2012
I know some of the other reviews have not been as kind, saying the shelf underneath won't stay connected and the stool is flimsy. I found none of that to be true and wonder if the person submitting the review just did not assemble the stool correctly. I found it very easy to put together and used it the very day it was delivered. It fits in the bathtub as if it was made specifically for me and I felt very comfortable using it. I just had knee surgery and was looking for something to help me as I took showers and this is for ladies - my first use was to sit on it in order to shave my legs! It worked perfectly! In fact, as a lazy person, I may continue to use it just for that purpose even after my knee is fully recovered. I liked having the rotating seat feature and the shelf, but found putting the stool in the center of the tub enabled me to reach around to all four corners without any problem at all. I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a simple solution to showering or getting use of a tub after surgery or other issue. I found it to be sturdy and just what I was needing!
Bath Stool

I had a Home Care Adjustable Tub And Shower Seat that I got from a medical supply place and it lasted all of 2 months before it bent, I am only 200#, the chair was suppose to be good for 250#. There was no warranty on it and I refused to pay $80.00 for another of the faulty things. I went to Amazon to look for other seats and came across this one. The legs go straight down, not at an angle like the others, so the problem of bending is removed. I have used this for several months now with absolutely no problems, and for the price it cannot be beat. I have it set at the highest level and it is just as stable as when set to lower levels. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, it is one solid, well built, piece of equipment for people like myself who cannot stand in a shower and getting down into the tub is an impossibility.
BATHING WITH CONFIDENCE
August 10, 2012
The problem with getting old and creaky is that my mind, aged 20 this morning, keeps forgetting the other body parts are aged 69. WARNING: do not get arthritis in your tail bone! One day, I turned to rinse my hair which is quite long, lost my balance and had to grab the shower curtain to retain uprightness. Didn't fall, but how much faith can one put into so flimsy a save? Which phobia is that? Fear of the tub or of falling? Checked Amazon products and found this bath stool: It arrived in like, four days and it is a wonderful invention. I can turn around while sitting and this is especially great when rinsing out shampoo. I am now able to go through my day confident in stinklessness. Each BO there may be is freshly earned. I've been using it for three weeks with no problems. It's even the right color!
Bath Stool with Padded Rotating Seat
December 10, 2011
Ordered this stool for my son after he had leg surgery and was unable to stand in his shower. He has been really pleased with the stool. Its the right height (he is 5'9") and he really likes the rotating seat because it allows him to get in and out of the shower with ease. I personally like the shelf space between the seat and the base because it makes reaching for shampoo and bath gel safer for him. Construction is sturdy and assembly was quite simple. Would recommend for any standup shower.
Driver's Bath/Shower Seat fits!
July 10, 2011
The bath/shower seat is the right size for a smaller shower or for the tub. It's just right for our small space and is sturdy and comfortable. My husband can take showers again with safety. It works as advertised, seems well built and was super easy to set up. The swivel seat is a great help and the intermittent 'stops' keep position stable until he chooses to change the rotation. Thanks for a great product!Driver Medical Bath Stool With Padded Rotating Seat, White with Blue Seat

For the money, this chair delivers. It is sturdy, stable, adjustable and will be donated to Goodwill once we no longer require it (using in shower during period of time with a broken leg). Showering using this chair is simple, especially if you have a flex line hand-held shower head.
I have bad knees, going to get knee replacement
January 29, 2017
I need a knee replacement / Wonderful for pain reduction in the shower. Highly professional company. I bought one for a friend as a gift, it did not fit. They gave me a credit immediately. Chair has nice feature, rubber arms coering for better grip, thick rubber feet so the tub does not get scratched. Product is very well made and strong. I am 260 pounds and it handles me with no problem. Don't buy one of these onn price. Look at stability, quality as having a well built chair, can avoid a bad fall. Womnderful gifr for a loved one you want to help reduce risk of a fall.
Safe Shower Chair
March 19, 2016
This chair is wonderful. It didn't take very long for this non-handiperson to put it together and get it set up in the shower, where my spouse can now take showers safely and easily lift himself up with the attached chair arms. I appreciated all the responses I had from previous purchasers of this item. It truly is a great chair.
Great Chair.
December 14, 2015
I'm a 39 year old male. I'm 5'10" weighing 172 lbs. I've had 8 back related surgeries. I have a 6'x6' ADA shower. A friend let me use his shower chair which had no backing or arms and fully extended was about 4" shorter than this chair. He had to take it back. So I bought this one and I'm very pleased with it.It requires no tools out of the box. It's light weight. The back and arms do not need to be used but I use them and they are easy to align into their receivers on the chair. I have the chair almost fully extended to the 2nd to last hole/notch and it's very sturdy!I wish it had a cushion but there are only a few chairs out there that come with cushions and for almost double the price. However, I like that the seat is somewhat on the smaller side which "helps" men in certain areas.I'm very pleased and I highly recommend this chair. If you weight over 200 lbs., it'll still work but you'll have lower the legs some, depending on your weight. If you're over 220 lbs even though it says it has a 300 lbs capacity, THIS IS NOT YOUR CHAIR!!! You will stress it out and be hurt!!!Update: used it for 3 months and I'm very pleased. I wipe the chair off after each use. I clean it with Clorox Clean-up once a week. It still looks brand new. I still caution anyone heavier than 225lbs to NOT buy it even though it has a 300 lbs max. capacity!!!
I really love this chair!
December 18, 2013
I was looking forward to getting this shower chair, I really needed one. I am getting up in age and started having problems with balance etc. and was afraid of a fall. I've seen a few over the years and was worried it either wouldn't fit my shower/tub or wouldn't be well built. It is VERY sturdy, and though, at first it didn't fit, I put it on it's side and pushed the legs closer together. My tub is very narrow, but this did the trick. I would buy it again.
Love it! TALL
April 25, 2013
If you are tall or have a loved one who is tall, this is the chair for you. My husband (6'4") is not able to raise himselfto his feet from an average height chair because of severe Arthritis in his knees. He could not take a tub bathor even a shower. After a long search, I found this adjustable chair and it is PERFECT! Now, my husband spenddelightful time sitting in this chair and making up for all the lost showers.

Handy multi-use stool
April 9, 2017
I have been using this stool in the shower for over a year now. It fits nicely inside the bathtub. It's sturdy and helps me deal with a bad knee & bad back. But I also use it outside of the shower, whenever I have to do a task that I'd normally have to stand for some time, which would cause me a lot of pain, like washing dishes. The adjustable height is great for doing different tasks. The only reason I didn't give this stool 5 stars is because of the difficulty I had (I expected it after reading other reviews) in attaching the legs when I originally set it up. Two legs snapped together easily, but two were impossible for me. I gave them to my neighbor who banged them in with a mallet. Now they work fine. Seriously, you shouldn't have to brute force an assembly. Some quality control at the factory could have eliminated this. But they're together now, and working fine. Also a minor quibble is that the bottom shelf pops out whenever I move it, so I'm constantly having to pop it back into the holders on the legs. Not really a big deal. Just a minor annoyance.Oh and the top pad pops off easily to allow the stool to dry after the shower, and pops back on just as easily. I've never had a problem with mold, because I make sure I air dry it every time. I don't know why some people are complaining about it. This isn't rocket science. ;)
Good quality, adjustable height is great, rotating seat isn't real useful.
April 9, 2017
I like how the height is adjustable. It takes up most of the width of my tub, so there's no room for my legs on the sides, which means turning the seat isn't really useful, but I don't use it to get out of the tub sitting down. The seat won't rotate while sitting on it, even if the lever is lifted. This works with my grab bar well, and allows me to sit if I want. It's good quality, and well built. Dries on it's own in the tub after use.
Excellent Product with More Features Than Others
October 27, 2016
Just what I was seeking for my 98-year-old mother! This stool can sit several inches higher than others, making it easier for her to reach the sink; the four legs make it safer than those with only three, and the swivel seat rotates very smoothly. The seating area is slightly smaller than another one she'd been using, but it's adequate. My only complaint (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is that there is no way to disable the swivel lock other than breaking off the paddle the user lifts to release it. When the seat is swiveled 1/4 turn, it locks, and my mother's dementia prevents her from learning how to release it. Add an option to enable/disable it, and this stool will be pretty close to perfect.
Works better in shower stall
August 2, 2016
Easy assembly. Sturdy, no wiggle, and seat height adjusts easily enough. Foam seat is comfortable. Other reviewers have complained about mold forming between pad and stool, but the foam pad removes from and re-attaches to the base. We just pop it off and stand it on edge; letting let the two parts air out between uses.Works better in a shower stall than in a tub. It spins freely once seated and tab is pulled, but there too little room to get feet between the stool and the wall of a standard width tub when turning.

July 12, 2015
I need to be non-weight-bearing on one leg for two months, so I bought this for use in the shower. I like the 23 inch height at full extension of the legs. This appears to be one of the tallest bath stools on Amazon. The rotating seat also is convenient. The "soap tray" underneath the seat does not seem too useful for storage, but I think it adds some structural stability to the legs. As other reviewers have noted, it was difficult to push the legs into the plastic receptacles on the seating section. I removed the seat and bearing rings (the instructions explain how to do this) to avoid damaging them, and used a rubber mallet to tap the legs in. Surprisingly, one of the legs slipped in easily and one with a minimal effort, so I think the difficulty may have something to do with how well the leg is aligned with the receptacle when trying to insert it. However, once I had them in, I did nothing to examine this further.
Recommend this bath stool
June 2, 2015
Stool is great for those that need to sit while showering. I also use it at the bathroom mirror when doing my hair. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is for one problem I have had.....the plastic insert underneath the seat that holds the 4 legs secure keeps popping off, and I have to reconnect it. Nothing has broke on it, thought, it just pops off and has to be put back on. I'm considering using some Gorilla glue! Adjusts easily for height and dries off quickly after showering. Rubber feet hold very securely.

stable
July 27, 2017
Sturdy, easy to assemble and adjust. I was concerned it might be too wide for a shower with sliding doors... it's close, but it still fits with room to grasp the arms. This is a good option if you're looking for a bath seat with arms and a back. Best of all, my Mom can take a shower unassisted.
warm that seat
July 16, 2017
Now that my wife is able to stand pretty much with little or no help, this chair works nicely to replace the bench we had. It gives her confidence in being able to stand and if she tires, has a place to sit. Make sure you warm the seat with a hot towel before she sits or you may receive a cold response :)s

September 23, 2016
This product has been stable for my mother, who has recently fallen four times in four months-- all in the bathroom / bedroom area. Surrounded by large guard rails installed throughout the shower and bathroom, I am confident she will not fall again transferring in/out of the shower when she focuses on utilizing this product as part of her hygiene protocol. Lastly, I understand that the chair leg height adjustments are made globally (in contrast to camera tripod-like leg adjustments), with an uneven shower floor, there is a slight wiggle. Overall, it does the critical job of supporting her independence in the shower.

April 6, 2016
This is a good quality bath seat which fits into a standard tub. The handles have a good tacky grip, even when wet. It is lightweight so lifting it in and out of the shower is easy. The size will fit an average size adult easily and the seat height can be adjusted low enough for my very petite 4'8" mom. The caveat is that because it is lightweight, care must be taken if the user has balance issues as the chair can rock a little or slide backward if sitting down hard or when standing up. I would have given this a 5 star rating if not for that.
This one's a keeper!
January 5, 2015
This chair worked great! I had hip surgery so I needed something to sit down on in the shower. This chair never slipped on me. Once warmed up by the hot water it stayed warm so that was nice.Just one warning, since the handles come out a little farther than the legs, if you sit down in it with only one hand don't put too much weight on that one side or it will tip on you.I've read complaints about the back not being strong enough. I dunno, maybe they had a defective unit or were being unreasonable. I'm 6 foot 240 pounds and the back held up just fine. It's not suppose to hold up to you leaning back with full force. It's there for SUPPORT.I dinged this item 1 star because I received the product a little damaged and it wasn't due to shipping. One of the tubes was pinched so I had to bust out my tools to fix it in order to get the chair assembled. But all in all assembly was a snap.
Comfortable
March 4, 2014
This chair is very good for using in a shower, even a small shower. The seat is comfy and the arms are very secure to push up with. The backrest is also comfy. The only criticism is that water enters the legs, arms, and back supports when used in the shower. Some water can come out through the holes in the rubber feet but the arms and back rest must be removed each time and emptied to remove the water. It would not be good to leave stagnant water inside the tubing. If the tubing fitted over the lower tubing instead of the other way round this would stop the problem. All in all this is a well made, light weight chair that is very stable.

Bottom stablizer pops off
May 16, 2017
One of the small tabs that goes into the legs was broken on delivery. After a few uses the bottom ring popped off. I use duct tape to make sure it wouldn't happen again. I am 300lb so I know I expect a lot, however I need a seat in the shower. I has held me since I taped it and it works well in our shower.
Good value, but doesn't rotate if you're sitting on it.
December 14, 2016
It's hard to rate this, because the things I really like about it, I really like about it, and what I hate about it, I really hate about it. :)Pros:padded seatlightweight, easy to move aroundnot-quite-so-medical lookCons:That rotating bit? It rotates if you're not sitting on it, so what good is that? Maybe it would turn if a child sat on it?I don't really understand the little shelf thingy underneath. I guess it would be handy for a carer to use, but independently, it's not useful to me, and is a surface that needs to stay clean, but is difficult to clean.Anyway, I feel like it was worth the price because of the padded seat, alone. Padded shower chairs tend to be super expensive, and this was a great value. It's not as thickly padded as the more expensive ones, but it's definitely better than hard plastic. I just wish it actually rotated, cuz that would have made my showers so much easier.
Seated showers
August 14, 2016
Being able to adjust the height is great! Finally I can get a seat high enough to sit and stand without getting stuck. The seat is sturdy enough. However, it is rated for 400 pounds. I weigh less than 400 pounds and find it difficult to reach the switch to swivel from a seated position. Not to mention, it pinches my flesh if I turn or wiggle too much. My solution has been to drape a towel over before sitting. That means I cannot use the swivel function. Other than that it is a great stool and it is much better than the bench that it replaced. I would definitely buy this one again.
Worse, you cannot rotate the seat while sitting on ...
June 25, 2016
The instructions say to inspect all parts for shipping damage before assembly. It's not the shipping company that's the problem, but how haphazardly the parts were thrown into the actual box which wasn't closed or sealed like a new box would be. I don't see a lot of respect for the buyer in this; perhaps the seat sent to me was returned by someone else and the repackaging is what is so sloppy? It has a thin, cheap-looking plastic handle to rotate the seat around. Worse, you cannot rotate the seat while sitting on it rendering this feature useless - why buy a shower chair with a rotating seat if it cannot be used for rotation when rotation is needed? Easy assembly which I appreciate but the bottom shelf doesn't seem to attach securely. Yet I don't want to leave it off and forgo any support it provides to the chair. Very nice diameter for a smaller bath-shower unit like mine.
too flimsy for me.
August 14, 2015
While this may be suitable for many, I bought this after I broke my ankle because it is one of the few that has a narrow enough profile to fit in my tub shower and it was higher than most at 23 inches. Plus I thought the revolving seat would be handy to help me pivot into the tub. The main problem for me is that I am not supposed to put weight on the broken ankle. So getting from a sitting to standing position, absent handles, or even space to push myself up from it with my hands, I cannot easilly get off of it, or adjust my body securely on it without help--someone to hold the walker down as I shift off the stool and back to my good foot. Even getting on it is a problem. It is so lightweight that attempting to adjust my body on to the center of the stool, I feel it tipping. Thus I am sitting precariously on the edge afraid to move the wrong way, for fear of it coming out from under me. If you can get up and down without using arms and with both legs it might work for you. The swivel seat is not easy to use either especially if you can't put weight on both feet to lift up some weight in order to swivel. I have to buy something else that I can use without help. Unfortunately, I cant so find anything as tall and narrow at the base.
Fits in my tub
April 16, 2014
Pros: The size is perfect for our narrow tub, the feet easily adjust, has a lower rack for soaps and shampoos if needed, seems quite sturdy.Cons: The seat doesn't twist as easily as I'd like it to. It seems to have a mechanism to it and you need to push down on this lever to get it to change positions. I don't have an extra hand to do that with while transferring into the tub, then if you put enough pressure on it trying to move, it lets loose and moves unexpectedly. Startles me when it does it. Also, this may be caused by the shape of our tub, but sometimes it seems to shift a little when using it as a transfer while getting in and out of the tub.

I wrote an earlier review and this is an update to that. The chair was okay, but a little too light and my wife felt insecure using it after her surgery. It was simple to assemble. I earlier tried to return it and the return was rejected. I contacted Amazon customer service and they made it right with me. Amazon is great to deal with.

Beware!!! Personal Items not returnable even if defective!!!!
January 14, 2017
Quality and manufacturing not good on the one I received and since it is a personal item, I cannot return it $45 gone!!!! The metal covering on the locking buttons is peeling off. There are four cushion "buttons" on the underside of the blue seat that hold it in place and one of them is almost separated. I understand it is a personal item BUT if it is defective, it should be returnable so the product can be evaluated by manufacturer to improve product. Disappointed with Amazon and for me that is a rarity!!!!
Not worth the money
November 2, 2016
Height adjustment is great. The swivel seat is very hard to use. It is difficult to find the lever, then turn on the seat and then lock it again. The support that separates the legs and is supposed to provide stability continually comes unsnapped resulting in insecure legs. It needs a better design.

This chair scares the Sh*! out of me, the bottom rack pops out and the legs get wobbly. If it breaks, I'm pretty much a 911 call. The bottom rack, reinforces and stabilizes the Legs. Faulty Rubber Tips/Feet
January 2, 2017
We bought five chairs for various uses with my elderly parents. While the chairs are solid, light, and well-suited to the purpose, we have had problems with the rubber tips/rubber feet on all of these chairs within 4 months. Specifically, the rubber feet are splitting at the height of the supportive washer in the legs and falling apart. We have been gluing the rubber feet back together with super glue but that only works for a while. This makes these chairs basically worthless as they cannot be used without the rubber tips to prevent scratching the tub or shower floor surfaces. We have been looking for replacement rubber tips/feet but have not yet been successful. No one answered when we called the customer help line two times last summer.
Caution - cracks in plastic seat
May 14, 2016
I purchased this chair for my dad about a year and a half ago. At first, it was great - easy to assemble, lightweight, and sturdy. However, after about a year, the seat developed many cracks. My dad is not a large man, so it's not due to excessive weight. He used the chair in the shower just a few times (he only uses it outside the shower now). There is no way he could use it in the shower now, as the cracks in the seat are sharp! Disappointing.
Probably nice for a smaller person.

Not even good quality or heavy duty plastic
November 2, 2017
Bought this for my partner, who is having knee replacement surgery next week. Back to the drawing board though - I just requested a return!I opened the box to find that all of the parts had already been removed from their wrappings, which were in a wad at the bottom of the box. Also startled to find that the parts are ALL plastic, not just the shelf and the adjuster buttons mentioned in the previous reviews. Not even good quality or heavy duty plastic, either. It felt like the stuff they use on those molded lawn chairs. Started attaching the legs to the seat and realized one leg was missing the adjuster button, so the stool couldn't be stabilized - effectively a tripod. The shelf was also broken - the tabs were broken off in the slots on the legs. Clearly this was used and/or returned previously and wasn't inspected before being sent out again.
Awful product.
September 11, 2017
This thing broke the first time I used it. This is supposed to withstand, if I'm not mistaken, up to 400pds. I don't weigh that much. The darn thing not only broke, but it shattered as well.I have another one that I use and it's made out of metal and plastic.I would like a refund.
Why would you say that

Okay wow.... not what I expected not what I wanted I'm a big guy but I don't trust this thing at all took so long to get delivered so disappointed. Really 400 lb Zone no 450 pounds that's a lie and I'm not going to try to find out
God, did I make a mistake buying this!!!
July 15, 2016
Piece of junk. Just got it today and put it together. Two opposing legs are higher than the other two. So I got a 1/2" wobble. Does not sit flat. Oh, and supports 450 lbs? Really? You have aluminum legs snapping into plastic holes. Not sturdy. The whole thing shakes because everything fits loose. I weigh 320 lbs. I'm afraid to sit on this in the tub.
Do Not Buy!!!!!
May 27, 2016
This stool holds my weight but Drive company needs to redesign the blue cushioned seat. Many complain about the seat building mildew after becoming wet so there is no warranty if you don't wipe the seat immediately after use. I would like to hear their excuse for WHY my stool cushion reaps of mildew smell right out of the box and mine has NEVER come in contact with water. I hope they are not selling products that have been returned with mold and mildew in the seat. The odor never goes away. I will never buy another one, the smell is sickening and this stool is going into the trash!
What a miserable design. Buy something else!
December 14, 2015
First, it is all but impossible to assemble. After a couple of smashed fingers, I greased the parts with Crisco. Even then I had to beat the heck out of it to get the legs in. Second, the blue seat on the one I got stinks to high heaven. I have it outdoors to outgas. Third, given the design, it is obvious that it is going to mold under the blue seat unless it is disassembled after each use and dried thoroughly. I also don't see why the metal parts (legs) will not rust. What was i thinking when I bought this awful thing? I have a charity pickup in a few days......

One of the support legs broke and collapsed while my 85-year old mother was showering, while under supervision. She was injured as a result of the buckling of the chair leg. Mother is well within the recommended weight limit of 275 pounds, so the logical explanation is that the chair was defective. When I attempted to return this item, I was told it was no longer eligible for return. We purchased this January 17, 2016.
Does not fit 30 year old standard bathtub

Leg caps do not lay flat on tub surface, and becomes unstable. Otherwise, product okay. I can't use it. Not happy!I measured my bathtub before ordering.
Back leg bent all the way in when I sat on it.

I have had foot surgery. I am non-weight bearing for up to 8 weeks. I originally bought two small shower benches. They were way to low. That's another review. Anyways got this chair and loved it until last night... I have to step over an tile edge to get into my shower. I don't do it very gracefully on the one foot. Well, went I sat down last night THE BACK LEG OF THE CHAIR BENT ALL THE WAY IN. I was able to stand and bend it back some. But I felt it was dangerous. It was never that stable on my shower floor. I have 1 x1 inch tile and it never sat that stable. I wish some of this equipment was sturdier.
