Side by Side Comparison of: Kolight vs Real Techniques

I bought these to use with makeup but ended up using them for painting. I liked it better for painting. I used the finer smaller brushes to handwrite words on certain projects it was smoother and more controllable. My makeup was probable cheap it didnt absorb my powder it just kind of balled up on the brushes.

I first purchased these as makeup brushes, loved them as such, then purchased another set to paint murals w acrylic paint. Awesome as both, highly recommend.

I personally love these brushes. I was definitely skeptical at first but when I received mine there were no odd smells like other reviews state and I'm not seeing repetitive brushes in my set. There was only one brush that fell apart. The brush end from the handle came off as soon as it came out of wrapper. Looks like not enough glue to hold together. Otherwise, good set of inexpensive stsrter brushes. Mine were also marked KOLIGHT as stated in the description.

I love them ! The brushes are good quality and are really soft ! The foundation brush doesn't leave lines/streaks or patches.Over all the brushes blend make up well ! There is a eye liner brush and it does amazing wing eye liner .

Decent quality brushes, very worth the price. I'm pretty happy with this purchase :)

Exactly as pictured, decent brushes. Good for folks who have more makeup colors than brushes.

I have had nothing but fun with this inexpensive collection of brushes. My only complaint is that there isn't a matching set of large brushes to join them.

well I just opened these after buying them yesterday, and everything seems good. I'll update this more as I use them, to tell you how they hold up.First impressions: There are some repeat brushes which which i guess is helpful. All of the brushes are pretty small so don't count on these to be able to do your foundation or other big surface area products. Overall, they look cute and seem well made.

the quality of the brushes is nice and the shipping was incredibly fast! my only real complaint is that one brush arrived broken, though it looked more like the adhesive just didn't get all the way through to the base and it had a faint chemical smell but for the price you can't beat it

Purchased two sets for my niece twins 18th bday back in December and recently asked them what their opinions were - they loved them and still using so I guess it's a thumbs up!

A super great deal. I get a ton of use out of these, especially the eye shadow brushes. I had low expectations just because of the price but it's awesome. I do think some of the brushes resemble paint brushes, and I don't get a ton of use out of those for my face, but I have taken a few of the thinner brushes and used them for nail art. Over all, a great deal even if I don't end up using all of the brushes.

The shipping was fast. And all the pieces are there and I gave it 3/5 stars because the more thinner brushes are easily bendable and the hairs used on all the brushes are of the cheaper used in this industry. However, I knew this going in to this purchase but for those people who are starting to branch out with their makeup creatively might now know. This set is true to its description except some of the hairs were already frayed and will last 3-6 months(depending on your usage) with regular gentle cleaning.

They were awesome when i got them, but after a few uses they started coming loose and the heads on a few wound up falling off.If you get these, i recommend using some glue and a clamp to fully secure the heads on the brushes.

The handles were very cheap and some of the heads broke off the handles. For what I paid, I did get my moneys worth because they were super cheap and there were a ton of brushes. Some of the brushes hairs fell out and when I rubbed them on my face some of the hairs would come out on my face. I probably would not buy again but they were super cheap so I am not super upset about them.

Before I purchasdd the reviews said that the brushes were cheaply made and I would agree. There are a lot of brushes, which is wonderful, and the ones for eye makeup I'm very happy with. I do wish that the larger brushes were bigger and softer, for powdering and blushe application. For the price the product is useful and there are lots of application options, just know that this kit is basically made as cheaply as it costs.

I'd classify these as mediocre or average brushes. They're a great set for the price but one must keep in mind they are manufactured and shipped from China... So you will get what you pay for in that there is a longer wait for the item to arrive and they won't be high quality. I only wear makeup occasionally when I find the time and I already have a few other brushes that I use the majority of the time. I primarily bought the set for a few of the brushes... I needed to have something inexpensive on hand that I could toss in a travel bag for quick work trips. I found most of the brushes had a heavy chemical smell, much like industrial adhesive. While it didn't linger, it was pretty strong upon opening the brushes. The angled brushes seemed a bit too stiff and harsh in my opinion, but I suppose that is a personal preference. Overall, I like the set for the price paid since it is a secondary set for me... But in the future, I do think I'd opt for more quality brushes even if it costs more.

These brushes aren't particularly nice, big, or fluffy. However, for the price they're very good cheap brushes for when you need to blend out your eye shadow more, but need a new brush so that you don't muddle the colors. They feel really brittle in your hands, like if you mess up and squeeze too hard you'll break them. The biggest brush is ok for contouring- it draws good thick lines without being too big, and risking getting powder everywhere else. I didn't expect to have 10 of the same eye shadow blending brush, but they're really good for just cleaning up random flecks of makeup and whatnot.

It seems like you're getting a great deal, but a bunch of them were the same one, and the quality isn't very good. The bristles don't work with formulas well. If you're trying to save money, you'll save more going with wet n wild's white and pink brushes, or maybe elf's studio line.

The first 3 uses were great. After using the brushes a couple of times they started to fall apart. The actual brush would completely come off the handle and the bristles started falling out in chunks in half of the brushes.

LOOK FOR ANOTHER SET. i understand that these are cheap and theres more but that doesnt always mean good quality. ive onky had them for abkut a week and 50% of the brushes fell apart. the wood is very light and feels cheap. the bristles are too hard thus making it hard to blend properly. the onky brush that i actually use was the foundation brush and it still soaks up alot of foundation and leaves streaks on my face. and there were all duplicates.

The bristle quality is okay. The feral/handle is not. I've had 2 brushes break off because they weren't glued on well. Yes, I just glued them back together but that's annoying. I'm not super rough or heavy handed with them either. They shouldn't be breaking just from regular use.I also hate the double ended brushes. You can't stand them up in a jar without damaging one end. Useless feature.You definitely get what you pay for with these. These aren't top quality but you can get 20 brushes for try price of 1 brush from some companies.

When I got these brushes I knew I'd only probably use a few of the brushes based on their size and shape. When I opened the packaging bristles were coming out and two of the handles were loose and became detached from the metal brush portion. I know these brushes are cheap and you get what you pay for... Yada yada.. But I had good-luck on a previous Amazon purchase based on reviews. The original packaging was good but you can't dress up ugly. I would buy these save your money if your looking for quality on the cheap this is not it. Giving two stars for presentation of packaging and that's all.

This is not a good set. Most of the brushes are similar, and the quality is terrible. They feel like paint brushes. Not good for blending, but some of them will be good for glitter shadow, or concealer since they are very synthetic. Still I wouldn't recommend for you to buy it. There are are other really good brush sets on Amazon for similar prices.

You get what you play for! All I have to say is don't buy 😂

At first let me say I was so excited to get my new brush set and when they arrived the packaging wasn't anything fancy but I opened them up and began to use then right away. If I could point out one major flaw it would be that the brushes fall apart easy, the heads come off the base and it's a nightmare. I have thrown away quite a few brushes already because of that, so if I must say is save your money and properly invest in a durable brush set because these are not durable what so ever.

For the price you really can't complain too much, however these brushes are extremely HARD! When doing eye shadow, I reach for these brushes the least out of all the other brushes. They are just so hard and rough on the skin. Another thing is this set should include more blending eye brushes.

They were cheap. You get what you pay for. Several re peats of the same brushes. They are very stiff. I gave them to my 6-year-old niece to play with.

They smell awful! Like they were dipped in nasty chemicals. A few of them started to shed just with me touching them. Save your money. Not worth it.

Make up brushes were really small. The baggage only said "lip" cosmetics but the title didn't say it was only for lips. Not sure why package only said lips when there is brushes for eyeliners and foundation. Just not what I expected or thought or shown in photo.
