So far, so good. This makes coffee or heats a full travel mug of water in about 3 minutes. I don't care for the mug provided, as it is all plastic. I have a better quality one that I had before that fits. I've had it less than one week.

Great for taking camping or even in a hotel room. Sometimes I use it for an extra cup of coffee at home. Or a late night decaf.

I have a Keurig machine but i'm not supposed to use it in my office. This is a smaller footprint. You can use pods or your own grounds. Very pleased with this product. It brewed quickly - about 2 minutes and the footprint is about the side of a half a gallon of milk. I can "sneak" and use this in my office and no one will know. Tee hee hee.

My husband absolutely loves THIS little singles coffee maker. It's just perfect for travel and a nice quick large coffee every morning he desires it to be so.

I wanted a small coffee maker for our RV and this one works great! I was mistaken in thinking "soft pods" we're the same thing as K-cups so was surprised when the coffee maker arrived that my k-cups didn't fit in it. However, I have been able to find some soft pods at the grocery store that I really like and they have actually been easier to pack and take along on trips than k-cups would have been. The biggest advantage to this coffee maker is that you only put the amount of water in that you are brewing for each serving and that is much better than Keurig style machines that always have some water left in the reservoir, even after a brew cycle is complete. With keeping the coffeemaker in the RV, I didn't want something that would be unused for long periods and have that water getting nasty. This machine puts through any water you put into it with each brew and then dries out easily. I make sure I turn it upside down to let extra drips/condensation run out, then I wipe it down and back in the cupboard it goes. This was a great purchase!

Bought this a little over a year and a half ago and it is a terrific little coffee maker! Loved it so much, I purchased another one for the office. It has taken me this long to discover the perfect metal 16 oz. thermos for it, as most of them this size are just a fraction of an inch too tall! Most importantly this makes an excellent cup of coffee when paired with my favorite K-cup, Kirkland Pacific Bold. The tray design makes immediate, no-drip cleanup easy. I like the fact the water tank is permanently enclosed in the machine and the size of the cup brewed is based on the amount of water poured into the reservoir. At first I tried using my coffee cup to pour the water in before brewing, but invariably water also found its way down on the counter or all over the machine. Scrounging around the kitchen for a better way I found the perfect tool for getting water only where I wanted it in the exact quantity desired, "Farberware Classic 2-Cup Gravy Separator" works as though it was designed for the purpose. Note, it is important to read the manual and follow the setup instructions for the machine to work. One cannot pull it out of the box, plug it in, throw some coffee and water in it, and get a cup of coffee. It is as simple as throwing in coffee and water once it is setup, but don't get ahead of yourself or you will be very frustrated. There was a point in the setup process where I realized I would have encounter a huge mess if I had not bothered with the instructions. Fortunately, I saw a warning about reading them in a review so I thought I'd help propagate that good advice.Each morning I put coffee in the machine, put my cup in place, and by the time I get the water poured into the top the machine is ready to brew a nice, very hot cup of coffee that I am drinking a few moments later. The versatility of the multi-tray design is a nice bonus and I have also enjoyed some good cups of tea utilizing both the hot water tray that simply puts very hot water in the cup for a tea bag and utilizing the "pod" tray with the tea bag in it—perfect for Celestial Seasonings tea bags. I cannot think of a better purchase for someone who enjoys a variety of hot beverages on a daily basis.

I have had coffee made almost every way possible: vacuum (immersion); French Press (immersion); drip (several different models); percolator (several different models). I have even had Cowboy Coffee where the grounds are thrown in, an entire egg (including shell) is mashed in, boiled then set aside, watching the entire mess sink to the bottom, leaving clear delicious egg coffee. I have never had a bad cup of egg coffee. (this is similar to how the Swedes make it except they don't use the egg & they put the coffee into a cheesecloth bag). There has been several of the better K-Kup makers as well.I buy some of the best coffees available - grinding it myself.But I have never enjoyed my coffee like I am now with this unit. I mostly used the loose grind attachment, but even using the refillable K-Cup attachment, my coffee has NEVER tasted better.My thinking is the hotness of the water, plus their PULSE feature, is making the difference.

I cannot express how much I love this coffee maker. I've waited over a year to write my review. I must say that this might not be for everyone because it takes longer than a Keurig for the initial warm up. You also can't use distilled water (I have a Brita filter that is fine, but water out of my Zero Water pitcher will not work just as distilled will not brew in this). Lastly the initial set up on the first use can be infuriating if you are not sure what you are doing. As some have posted, it can be a little loud and occasionally drip or splatter when the brew cycle is complete.BUT with those couple things out of the way, this brews HOT coffee that has the freshest and strongest (meant in a good coffee way) taste that I have ever experienced with a single cup brewer. If you follow the recommended measurements of 8 ounces of water for a k-cup and use the pulse brew setting, K-cup coffee has never tasted this good from a Keurig. What I love even more is using ground coffee in this, which on the Pulse Brew setting tastes Coffee Shop quality. Following the initial warm up, the brew cycles are very quick and it's also great for just plain hot water. Tea brewed in this is quick, hot and tasty as well. I own few appliances that I love and use as much as I use this in so many different ways.One other unusual thing about this model is that it does not have an on/off switch. Since I don't like to leave it on when I'm not at home, I ended up buying an outlet adapter with an on/off switch which would be just like using that type of switch on the machine itself. There are a few attachments (K-cup, Fresh ground and tea baskets) to store for this, but I use them all and finding a place for them is well worth it.Love, Love, Love this coffee maker!!

We love this coffee maker. I do a lot of research before purchases and was leery about mixed reviews. It's the best coffee we've ever had--much more flavorful! I thought it would be an inconvenience to fill the water for each cup, but it's not at all. We keep a clear measuring cup near the pot and play around with how much water we want.We had been using only k cups; now I'm hooked on Dunkin Donuts Hazlenut ground coffee and Junior Mint k cups. Hubby uses Senseo pods, ground dark roast DD, and k cups. So easy to switch drawers. The tea is unbelievably good; hard to believe you don't have to let the bags soak until flavorful enough and worry about discarding them. We always use the pulse feature, which seems to infuse the additional flavor.We had a small problem with one of the drawers...called Bunn and they sent a new one out right away, no questions asked!

We had been brewing single servings of coffee using the Hario pour over method. While this made a delicious cup of strong coffee, the process took enough time that the coffee wasn't as hot as we liked when completed.The reason we changed to single serve brewing, is to avoid having to microwave coffee throughout the day, so lukewarm Hario coffee defeated this purpose.I am not a fan of the K-cup because it's wasteful and expensive.This Bunn is the answer!We primarily use the ground coffee drawer. Two packed scoops of (french or italian roast) coffee always using the pulse button makes an awesome and strong cup. The "crema" that ends the brew process is a nice touch too.The coffee is HOT . . . just the way we like it. I drink my coffee black, so I have to wait a minute for the coffee to cool. I'd much rather wait, than have my first sip be lukewarm and blah. My husband uses a Bamix to whip some cold milk in his mug, then brews saraight into the froth. With the hot coffee dripping right into the cold froth, his coffee is the perfect temp when the brew cycle is complete.Even though we drink coffee morning and night, I still didn't like the idea of leaving this machine "on" all the time. We plugged a Belkin power conserve switch into the outlet, and the Bunn into this switch. I turn the switch on before I fill the water and the grounds tray, and it's not a long wait till it's ready and the green light is on.* * one note, the only slight con about the ground coffee basket I can mention, is that I wished there were disposable filters made for this. I searched and found many suggestions online however, I actually I easily created my own.Using those common and inexpensive 8-10 cup Mr. Coffee filters that are available everywhere in mega packs of 1,000 for $1.00 (exaggerating, but they truly are silly cheap), I cut them down and now have mini filters that make clean up, and cup-after-cup brewing a breeze.I will post photos, but in a nutshell, take about a dozen of those filters, fold them in half, and cut away about an inch from the outer diameter. Open them up, then cup them in your hand and scrunch them into a smaller pouch filter form. 2 scoops of coffee into the filter, then fold over the excess to make your own quasi coffee pod.You've just created mini filters that fit perfectly in the ground coffee drawer.** pulling these filter pods out of the drawer is easier if done right away. If left in the drawer for a while, the filters tend to weaken and will tear when you try to pull them out. If you find you've left them in and they don't come out cleanly, turn the tray upside down over a trash can, and push the nub on the bottom of the tray. This pushes out the bottom of the tray and will eject the pod into the trash.

I did my homework and researched all of the single cup brewers. After spending a lot of time reading, I decided what I really wanted was the My Cafe MCU. Had to wait for the release, but pre-ordered it on Amazon. So very glad that I waited, it was well worth it. Bunn sent 4 sample pods with the coffee and I found that if you used the pulse option with the brew that they make a good 14 oz. cup of coffee. I also have used my own ground coffee and, I don't know how Bunn did it, but the bitterness that was in the coffee when I used my multi-cup coffee maker was gone. I don't know if I'll be using the K-Cups, they're very pricey and I don't really need them, maybe for a party, but right now I'm happy with the pods and ground coffee.I was used to having a larger cup of coffee in the morning and I thought that only being able to brew 14 oz. was going to mean that I would have to brew a second cup, but it was more than enough. As I sat with coffee and took the last sip, I realized that this was the first time in a long time that I had actually finished my morning coffee. If I wanted, it would only take a minute or so to have another fresh cup.The only down side that I see, is that I now need a shorter travel mug. When using the ground coffee attachment, the clearance is only about 7" and that's a lot shorter than the travel mugs I have now. That being said, I love the My Cafe MCU.Would I recommend this? Absolutely, I recommend this to anyone who loves a GREAT cup of coffee!UPDATE: Found this on Amazon: Contigo Autoseal Randolph Stainless Steel Travel Mug Vacuum Insulated, 16-Ounce and it works perfectly with the My Cafe MCU!

I've been using it for 5months and love it. I set it up a night before. In the morning before jumping in shower switch it on so freshly brewed coffee waiting for me. Yes, the cord is short. I read some reviews complaining it being too short so expected it to be. BUT when I received it I was still surprised how short it was! But actually thats not a bad thing if you are using it near the plug on the kitchen counter. Looks tidy.I still don't know how to use Pod with this. Im sure read somewhere in the product description I can. But not sure how.

Hubby travels a lot, and I hate to make a whole pot of coffee for just one or two cups. I love my Black & Decker CM618 Single Serve Coffee maker. Coffee is perfectly made, not to strong, or to weak, perfectly hot. The only thing that I can say is a drawback is that the cup that comes with the maker is plastic and gets very hot when the coffee is brewing.

This is a great little machine, and it makes just the right amount of coffee for me in the morning . I enjoy flavored coffees, and usually only have 1-2 cups. My husband likes plain , black coffee, makes a big pot, and doesn't care how old it is before he drinks it. I want mine just as fast as it brews.This little coffee-maker is perfect for doing just that !I would have given it a big five star rating; but the lid does not close down properly. This might just be the one I got; and it still works fine; but it is not as well put together as I would like it to be. This dies not seem to affect function, only appearance.

I bought this as a replacement for a slightly cheaper B&D unit when a friend inadvertently threw out a filter component. I thought that this was simply a more stylish version of my other B&D unit. It isn’t. It is primarily for coffee “pods” and secondarily for ground coffee. For a reason that I do not understand, this units coffee (pod or grounds) just isn’t as good as the other units coffee. The insulated glass that they furnish has no handle and that makes it a rather unusual congee “mug.”Unlike the other unit I own, this one is easy to overfill with water and have it spill out on the counter. The furnished insulated plastic glass holds far more than the water reservoir will hold. The manual says to fill to the mark. I cannot find that mark. Maybe they mean the hole in the back which the overflow runs out of? If you do not intend to use pods, don’t buy it - get their cheaper model.

Well I received this on time as usual, nothing new there as amazon has always been very prompt with my purchases and let me know if there are problems.I have made about three cups of coffee so far and the machine works as expected. The only draw back and reason for not getting five stars is that it was designed for the cup that comes with it and maybe shorter cups. I have a very indestructible Stanley coffee mug I take to work and it is about 1/2 inch too tall. I was actually thinking of modifying the lower cup holder shelf take make my cups fit but I'll leave it alone for the time being. I had a similar single cup coffee maker in the past and still kick myself for giving to a co-worker.The filter leaves a little to be desired, it seems cheap and easily ripped if I were to use a brush on it when cleaning, especially since I make my coffee and go to work most of the time forgetting to dump it out (same issue I had with my old one, my fault not the products) I hope I can get a replacement filter later.It works better than having to make a full pot as I don't always take coffee to work but my wife seems to like it. We usually make a full pot in the full size machine but waste so much when we go to work. I am not a fan of the k cup machines as this also is very wasteful and expensive having to use a new throw away cartridge every time you want a cup when this works so much better.

I use this everyday. In the morning for work with "one to go" for driving. I use it to make hot water for tea instead of the microwave. I use it to make hot water for instant oatmeal. It does make hot water. Don't believe the reviews about it does not. It is very fast and easy to clean. I figured out to add one extra small spoon of coffee to make it a bit stronger. I add the hazelnut creamer and sweetener packs to the cup. I like it. It's simple and fast. I haven't tried the pods. They defeat the purpose of a good cup of coffee at a lower price. I did notice on Amazon there are make your own pods kits. I might try this for travel.

I would have given this 5 Stars, except I wrestled with the darned thing for a long while before I figured out the trick. I have read all the reviews about the leaking - and that is true. But I finally discovered THE TRICK!!!! If the instruction manual had been clear about seating the K-cup in the bottom of the dispenser BEFORE closing the lid, all the mopping and moaning could have been avoided. If you will firmly press the K-cup down before you close the lid, your leaks will disappear!! At least, mine did.Other than that - I LOVE this coffeemaker. It makes great, very hot coffee, and is far superior to any Keurig I have ever used. I highly recommend this to anyone considering a single serve coffee maker. Bunn is known for their quality - evidently not so much for their instructions. ;)

We purchased this eight months ago through Amazon as a "Like New" item at a sixty dollar discount. We use the MCU daily for coffee, tea, and hot water. At one point we experienced water "leaking" while brewing from the front and back of the coffee pod tray while on the pulse setting. Removing the Sprahead and cleaning the seal solved the problem (step by step instructions on YouTube). My husband and son prefer this coffee maker over our previous Keurig. I initially thought they'd find it inconvenient to add water each time a cup of coffee/tea/water was made, but hubby and son said it's no big deal. I clean the Sprayhead every six weeks (takes less than 5 minutes), flush with vinegar every couple of months, and clean the Water Probes every three months.

I really like this machine. It's an all in one type of beverage maker. I love being able to switch from coffee (for the wife) to tea (for me) and not have to taste coffee in my tea. The brewing temp is just right. Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase.Why only a 4 star review? Two cons. One: Filling it with water via a coffee cup leads to a mess on the counter. Somewhat annoying, but tolerable. Two: cleaning the loose coffee holder is kind of a pain in the butt. Lucky for me that's my wife's problem.

Makes a better cup of coffee than my Cuisinart Keurig. Having the separate drawers is handy. I mostly use the one for ground coffee. The coffee comes out stronger and more full bodied than my Keurig with a K-cup adapter for your own ground coffee. I noticed it right away. I now taste the the nuances in the coffee whereas with the Keurig it seemed watered down. I havent tried this unit's dedicated K-cup drawer yet, but it looks well built.Making a cup is quick. Overnight it goes into standby (LED turns red). Pushing in a drawer wakes it up and it is ready to brew in about 30 seconds (LED turns green). Subsequent cups are immediate.Its also nice that it is relatively small so it doesnt take up counter space - although you will need a drawer or cupboard to store the extra drawers.Its worth mentioning that the K-cup drawer pierces the K-cup, so when you use the "hot water only" drawer for oatmeal, soup, or tea it is not tainted with coffee remnants like a regular Keurig would be.One minor gripe is that the coffee grounds drawer has a plastic piece that snaps in and covers the hinge area of the top of the basket - it keeps popping off. I eventually lost it when dumping coffee grounds. But thankfully it is not even needed. The top of the basket snaps right in at the hinge and the cover piece is mostly for "decoration".Overall I like this coffee maker much better than the Cuisinart Keurig which rates at the top of all Keurig machines.

This might be overkill. I love the instant hot water. Used the freshly ground cup, and it was rather a mess. Don't have pods, but may get some later. So far, the coffee in the k-cups has been pretty good, I bought this one: San Francisco Bay OneCup, Variety Pack, 72 Single Serve Coffees. I find that if I use 12 ounces of water and the pulse cycle, the coffee is still not strong, but better than running it through just the brew cycle. A tip I found is to use a larger cup than 12 ounces to keep the pulse water from splashing out of the cup. I've only had it for two days, and there was a bit of a learning curve to it to figure out what strength is best for us. At this point, I think I will like it more and more once I figure the whole unit out, and how to use it with different strengths of coffee.Update 5/17/2016. I'm not sure I would buy this again, but I like that it doesn't take up much space on my kitchen counter. It too often, has to be "nursed" along, and for the price I paid - $169, it shouldn't have to be pampered.May 2017. Too hard to clean. I thoroughly cleaned it, ran 14 oz white vinegar through it twice, a toothbrush doesn't work, so used Q-tips. Too many pieces and parts in the top after unscrewing the lid. After I ran two max levels of vinegar through it, it took 11 max level cups of clear water before I was able to get clear water OUT of it. I admit to waiting a month too long to clean it, but....we were gone a month when it didn't get used. I'm going to replace it with the Hamilton Beach Brew Station.

My family has owned BUNN coffee machines for as long as I can remember. But when I went off to college all I wanted was a Keurig because that was the it-new-thing. I stood by my Keurig for the past 5 years, but when it came to buy a new one I was hesitant because of the Keurig 2.0 reviews. I love using my own coffee grounds (who has the money to spend on those cups anyway?) and my dad kept insisting I follow in his footsteps and get a BUNN. Lo and Behind BUNN makes a single-cup coffee maker! I absolutely love it! I don't know how, but it legitimately make a better cup of coffee than the Keurig, plus it's much more versatile. Here are some points:PROS:*Fast coffee! Even when it needs to "reheat"it only takes a minute*4 different "drawers" which allows me to make whatever I want--Kcups, Pods, plain grounds (yay!), tea bags, and just hot water (without getting that coffee taste)*Each cup tastes much stronger than the Keuig's (and I am using the exact same coffee as before--even from the same bag!)*The "ground coffee" drawer does NOT need filters--which is great! I'm used to the reusable K-Cups so it's basically the same thing--metal mesh that you just dump the coffee into, and then clean out afterwards. Saves on money and eco-friendly!*The Pulse setting is really cool. It simulates the slow pour/hand pour coffee and really does taste much stronger! If I'm not in a rush in the morning I do that (since it takes a little longer to brew)*The "ground coffee" drawer holds 2.5 as much coffee as my KCups did, so that means I can essentially make 2 cups at a time, instead of just one. This is great when I'm filling up my thermos in the morning. I only have to wait for one brew cycle instead of two or three!CONS:*It's louder than the Keurig, but not "wake everyone up in the apartment" loud. So it's not really a bad thing, just something I noticed*The manual is a must-read (or at least a must-glance). This is a bit more particular than the ready-set-go Keurig style. But once you read it, it's super easy to use!*After reading the manual twice I couldn't find specific instructions on how to clean the drawers themselves. They have de-scaling instructions, but nothing about if the drawers are dishwasher safe or not. I've been handing washing just to make sure, but it would be great if they could go into the dishwasher. Maybe I missed that part of the manual? But I couldn't find anything about it.Overall, I LOVE it! Highly recommend!

Drips for a long time after it is done brewing. Need to put a paper towel down so it won't splash once done

The bottom is small making it difficult to fit some cups. The place you pour the water is also smaller than past Black & Decker single serve coffee makers. The product itself works fine, but the design isn't as good as the other model.

Makes a nice cup of coffee quickly but there were a few things I didn't like.1. Filter has to be placed just right for the lid to close2. Cup not insolated3. The filter isn't big enough. (I like my coffee STRONG)but for the price other than that it's a nice machine. It gets the job done and that's all that really matters.

I really loved using this, bought it for Vegas for my fiancé as most hotels don't have coffee makers in the room. Who likes going down first thing in the morning to buy their coffee in Vegas? Didn't open the box till we got to Vegas. Turns out the filter wasn't sealed at the bottom so the coffee grounds fell through. I'm using regular coffee filters instead now, which defeats the purpose of the plastic filter. Would love to get a replacement plastic filter, none I've found in the stores will fit. HELP

Like other reviews have said, there is a strong plastic odor when this is new. I ran about 3 dozen cycles total, sometimes using water, sometimes white vinegar, & sometimes baking soda in water, before I made my first cup of coffee. I made sure I separately cleaned all surfaces on both the basket and the reusable filter thoroughly. I also left some strong coffee grounds in the basket overnight. I don't notice any plastics odor or taste now, but I'm not sure which of the things I did made the difference.The cup that comes with the coffeemaker is a joke. IT IS NOT INSULATED AT ALL, although it's clearly designed to look like it is. It gets EXTREMELY HOT when it is filled with coffee... too hot to hold. You'll want to provide your own insulated cup.The grounds basket is the right size for a #1 disposable filter, but those filters aren't tall enough for the amount of grounds I use. I've used the reusable filter and it has worked well.On the plus side, I've been pleased with the coffee it makes. The water is quite hot when it hits the grounds and the coffee tastes good.

I've had this for a year now... still works like a champ. It lost a star because the start button is sensitive. Slightest bump or nudge it starts up, but shuts down 20 seconds later if no water is in it. If you bump it after water is in while setting up coffee, you'll have to hurry and unplug it, so I took a star off for that too. I'd buy another because of the price, but it takes some getting use to! PUT WATER IN LAST!!! And never have it ready to go without a cup under it.

Better than some Keurig's. I have had mine almost a year. I like it. I have had a problem with one of the baskets top breaking, which they fixed as soon as they could. However now it continues to leak water, slowly, enough to bug me. I guess there is nothing I can do about it. Not all k cups work with it. Some off brands won't close in the basket. In addition you can't just set any size cup under it. I like a good size coffee mug, so I have to transfer it from one size that fits under it to my mug.For the price and the name I would have expected a little better quality to be very honest. If you buy it, buy the two year protection to cover yourself. I wish I had. Overall it's a good coffee single cup, I think they could do some improvements, but it's worth the price they are now asking. I paid more last year.

After going through 3 Keurig machines, I set out to find a more durable, longer lasting, single cup coffee maker for my home. All roads pointed to BUNN. I purchased it from Amazon on January 23, 2014 --- it died 2 days ago when I moved it from one counter to another. I have read the troubleshooting guide, I have change outlets, I have done everything as directed by the BUNN manual. The indicator light is on, but it will not brew, it will not pulse, it doesn't make a sound. While it worked, I loved it, but less than 2 years for an appliance is ridiculous. (and of course I don't have an extended warrantee. So here's my advice.... rather than spend over $150 on an electronic device that will inevitably break is less than 2 years... go back to the search page, look up stove top percolators and go back to the method that worked for many years. It is more eco-friendly, more reliable, and will fill the kitchen with that wonderful aroma of coffee. For those who like coffee at work... thermos!! As for me, after 4 different machines, I am done with single cup servers.... to much money, too much waste, too quick to break, and all those extra parts will be floating around forever!!

This coffee pot is everything I expected. We bought it to replace a Kurig which had started leaking water internally. I read several reviews for this pot and although it was a little pricy, we went with it. It is the bomb. If you're looking for something that will take K-cups as well as other methods of making a great cup of coffee, then this is for you.This is the second part of the review of this coffee maker a year and a half after the original purchase. I have changed the rating from five stars to three. The reason is that with the K-Cup attachment, there's a rubber gasket that's supposed to seal the Kcup when the water is heated and squirted through the cup making the coffee. This is a hit or miss proposition as you never know when it will actually seal the cup, and often it blows water from every orifice in the pot, making a real mess. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it's a mess. I called customer service at Bunn right after I bought it and the lady who helped me was friendly, talked me through several different tries to get it working properly, but failed to find a solution and made no offer to make it right or exchange it. My mistake was not returning it to Amazon when I had the chance, but we decided to keep it and work with the problem. Now, a year and a half later, it's more apt to make a mess than do it right. So now I'm just warning anyone who might be considering buying this product that you do so at your peril.

I have never had any issues with this. I love it, it's perfect for my one daily cup of coffee that I have. Taste is great and it's great that I'm not bound to the "K-Cup", I prefer grounds. Wife uses it for tea and loves it as well. I liked it so much that I got my dad one for his birthday. I think they had some quality control issues because the first one he got, the water shot out the back of the basket. We took it apart to see if there was a broken seal, but could find no defects. We returned it and had another one sent to him (thanks Amazon), but three or four cups in, the same thing happened. He called the manufacturer and they sent him a new basket which has help up thus far. I really think it's a great product when it works properly, like I said I've had no issues with mine at all and have had it over two years. My dad has had to replace it and then replace the basket that holds ground in a matter of a month. Best guess is something with the grounds basket wasn't lining up and the high pressure this thing produces caused it to shoot out the back. The one BUNN sent to him probably came from a different production run and didn't seem to have this flaw. Because of my dads experience is why I subtracted two stars. When I originally bought it for him it was a 5 star item!

After 6 months of use, it started giving us problems. We only use it to brew coffee, just regular ol' ground coffee. One day it started shooting coffee out the sides. Through BUNN's customer service, we figured out it was the check valves, but it has been incredibly annoying trying to troubleshoot. They have YouTube videos to help you troubleshoot, which is nice, but still annoying to have to deal with. They are quick to send new parts and we got all new seals and new check valves. It's just annoying that, even with good care (i.e., using only filtered water, following instructions for keeping it clean, etc.), it only took 6 months for parts to fail.It makes a good cup of coffee though! Unfortunately, the problem kept occurring and we'd have to keep fixing it on a weekly basis. BUNN said it must be the water in our area. It may be "too soft" or something. What is great is that they're letting us mail it back to them for a full refund. Now that's a great company! We decided to get an AeroPress instead and like it much better.

I've had it for a week and have so far used it with ground coffee and tea, both of which are served using 1 "drawer" only. My observations so far are as follows:Pros:1) Unassuming, no frills presence; doesn't stand out from other small items in my kitchen (toaster, blender) which's good.2) Not many moving parts, which means less things that could go wrong. The simplicity, however, could be treated as a problem as well - see the Cons #1.3) Wakes up in about 2 minutes (I always unplug it after use) and delivers in another 2. I can spend 5 minutes making coffee.4) Makes decent coffee/tea. If you're looking for a cappuccino, this's not your thing but for a morning cup comparable to Starbucks "tall blond", this meets the expectation.Cons:1) My biggest gripe is that the internal water tank can't be emptied. I sent the 1st one back because it wasn't making hot enough coffee and no matter what I did, it spilled water when I packed it. Finally I ran the hot water cycle 2-3 times and when it completely stopped dispensing water, let it sit upside down in sunlight for about 30 min. I was hoping that any water would seep out and evaporate.On a similar note, I think making the internal water tank transparent would give the machine a "cooler" look but that's a cosmetic issue and doesn't affect the rating here.2) The swinging lid on the top isn't clearly marked as swinging. Yes, there's a black arrow etched in black plastic that's very difficult to notice. Initially I tried to open it by pushing upward and good for me, it didn't. If I'd applied more force, the lid would've propped up and I'd have voided the warranty.3) As some other reviewers have mentioned, there's no on/off button. I always unplug the machine because I make 2 cups/day that doesn't justify having it on all the time. For those who need more caffeine, I can see how this could an annoyance.4) The final spray spills fine droplets of the beverage all over the kitchen counter, which's messy. This is more of a problem is you use the "pulse" feature, which I always do.

Advertisement was not clear. I thought this unit would use Kcup pods, but it only uses SOFT pods you make yourself. I sent it back.

Not as convenient as I was hoping for. I wanted to replace my "10-cup" coffee maker to make about 16oz directly into a mug so I don't always have to clean the big pot for that little coffee. Although this allows that and makes it convenient, problem is grounds seep into my coffee. By the time I get close to the bottom of my coffee all I taste are coffee grounds. The other negative is the filter basket where the grounds go. It's hard to throw the grounds away in the trash and it gets stuck so have to rinse in sink which I believe is not good for my disposal. I really wanted to like this - temp is hot and like the auto shut off. I would save your money.

I bought this coffee maker for my last apartment, which was tiny. I liked that the compact design doesn't demand too much counter space, but that's about the end of my appreciation for this machine. Every time I use it, it sprays drops of coffee all over my counter. It never fills my cup entirely, and the whole thing feels cheap. This one is going in the donation bin.

Had an older model from Black & Decker and loved it. This one does not have the quality of the older model and arrived with slight damage. I decided to live with that. The smell of plastic was difficult to remove so for a while the coffee tasted like plastic. Would not purchase another one, but will live with this one until is breaks.

Bought this to replace an existing 21 year old Black & Decker Brew & Go I gave to my daughter. Thought this model looked a little nicer, but have had problems ever since it arrived. Sometimes the appliance shuts off before a full cup of coffee is brewed. Have to turn it back on to finish the brewing. It makes a really weak cup of coffee. I compared the filter baskets of this one with the Brew & Go model and this one has so much screen area I think the water runs through the grounds so quick it barely has time to brew. Have to put in 2-3 times as much ground coffee to get a decent cup. My old Brew & Go was of much better quality all around: heavier plastic, heavy duty switch, much better quality cup. I returned this and ordered 2 of the old Brew & Go models like I had before. These are really convenient but I would recommend the Brew & Go model.

It would have been perfect for my office at work, unfortunately there are a couple reasons I would not recommend it. Probably the largest issue for me is the mug which I quickly stopped using. Maybe I have weird lips or something but for me it is a dribble cup, and normally that only happens when I drink beer. Seriously though, there is something about the design of the lip that doesn't work. I was fortunate I have a tall mug that fits under it which is what I now use. I will probably look for a substitute travel mug so my coffee stays warm longer.I like my coffee strong enough that it causes spontaneous growth of chest hair, so I am probably putting more in than the average person, but even when the mesh cup is filled maybe only half way the coffee the grounds wind up spilling out of the cup and making a little bit of a mess inside the machine.Lastly, even if I leave my mug in long after the coffee is done. No matter what coffee drips out of the machine and makes a mess on the base of the machine. Pretty trivial, but it is enough to bother me, especially when combined with the other issues.Ultimately I will probably look for something else for my office.

We were pleased for an entire year with this coffee machine, until we tried the Kcup basket. Worked fine for two months, then started blowing grounds through the cup filters right at the end of the cycle. Tried other cups, found one that did not explode (Gevalier). Also, machine would not heat up once unplugged without a lot of gyrations. Bunn quickly sent a new unit. It is so much quieter than the old one, starts up right away when plugged in, but blows the filters on Green Mountain and McCafe cups, not so on Gevalier. Bunn tried to send just a new basket for kcup, but obviously not the fix, since this new one does the same thing. When the filter blows, grounds pour into the brewed coffee cup, rendering it undrinkable. I put a Mellita filter diaper on the cups, using a rubber band to hold in place, but the Bunn blew the diaper off as well. Now using Kcup coffee cut out of the cup and poured into the Bunn filter basket. By adding a paper filter, all works well. This new machine has the same inherent problem as the old one. Kcups cannot survive the pressure pulse at the end of brew. I have used the straight brew plus using pulsed brew. Same result. We will continue to use the machine in the non-Kcup mode, brews a great cup of coffee of tea.

Should have read the reviews prior to purchasing since I now see my problem is not unique. I owned this machine five months. It worked well at first. I maintained it as directed but after the first five months, it exploded during brewing, spewing hot coffee and grounds all over my cabinets. The first time I had just bent down to pick something up off the floor and the steaming hot grounds barely missed landing on my face. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought perhaps I had inserted the drawer incorrectly so the second time I made sure it was in tight and even held it in while it was brewing. 3/4 of the way through the brewing process, it again popped out dumping grounds and hot coffee on the cabinets and floor. A big pain to clean up. Two strikes it's out. I filed online over a week ago for a replacement or solution with no acknowledgement of my filing or answer from the company at this time-most companies at least respond with an auto email they are looking into it. This machine is much too pricey to be a "disposable".

SO disappointed. I had high hopes for the Bunn MCU, because it brewed ground coffee, tea pods AND k-cups. I liked the size and looks of the machine, but me measuring water for each cup was a hassle, and I didn't like the ground coffee at all. It was too thick and I would need paper filters too. Still I would have kept the coffee maker had it not just froze up on me one morning when I tried to brew a k-cup! I attempted to brew the k-cup just as I had the morning before, and the machine just wouldn't dispense the water. I read the troubleshooting and followed all the instructions with no luck, and even turned the machine off for a bit and tried starting all over. Again NO coffee. So I returned and went back to my old Keurig coffee maker.

I have had two of these expensive machines fail the same way in six months. I only use the scoop drawer, and I use Britta filtered water only. When it fails, it starts not dispensing the full amount of water, and it takes a LONG time (like 10 minutes) to complete its cycle. Sometimes then the red indicator flashes in a series of 4 flashes.I have cleaned them every few months with white vinegar, and have cleaned the screen.After this second failure I am done with it and went to the Hamilton Beach Scoop maker for 1/3 the price.

This machine is just okay. The best part about it is the different baskets it comes with and the ability to brew just about any hot beverage you want. The variety of baskets along with the great reputation bunn has is why I bought this product. Other than that, I was left feeling underwhelmed. The baskets themselves don't seem to be made of very durable plastic. One of the hinges broke within the first couple days. It does brew good coffee, but for a machine of this price I expected a bit more. For example, there is no on or off switch meaning I have to plug in and unplug it every morning. It is also one of the noisier coffee makers I have had. I could have bought a less expensive machine and have been just as satisfied with it.

I wish this one had better design as I really liked its features. I'm returning because of the following issues:- Flawed drawer locking design: Other than pod drawer, all the other drawers wouldn't lock to the unit, and the unit won't brew. I had to adjust the kcup drawer to lock. I didn't want to deal with this from a brand new unit.- Always 'on' Water reservoir : There is no way to turn the unit off, other than unplugging from the outlet. As it was sitting on the counter I noticed it turned on/off presumably for quick brewing - I don't want water reservoir kept hot 24/7 for my 1 or 2 cups consumption per day.I'm returning this and getting Keurig K55 instead (with reusable cup)

Ordered 2 both arrived defective. thought maybe newer model had something to offer. Returned and ordered Brew n Go. been using them for years. Sometimes newer is not better.

BOught for a Mother's Day present. IT does not work! processes about 1/3 cup of water and leaves rest in reservoir and shuts off. I am going to have to return.

Have soaped the removeables twice, have done 2 vinegar washes. Still has terrible, chemical aftertaste.

Started out making decent hot coffee but four months later it's every bit as good as swamp water.

Sadly this was a Christmas present and I was just told today it stopped working. Nothing. Just stopped. The return window was 1/21 so I guess we're just out of luck. I thought black and decker was better than this.

I used this once a day for the past 6 weeks, and had no problem. Now it shuts itself off in the middle of brewing, so I am only getting about 1/2 of the cup filled. When I turn it back on to continue brewing, it stays on for about 1 minute, and still does not complete the brew. Very disappointed. Since this is a Black and Decker, I expected it to last a while. There seems to be lemons like the one I received out there in the suppliers, because based upon reviews, some of these are working just fine. Sadly, mine is not. I wish I had bought this locally, because I would take it back to the store.

I have purchased 3 total. One for me and the other two for family members. After almost a year the tray that holds loose grinds either explodes or leaks. On a few occasions, it literally exploded, shooting out to the kitchen floor, making a huge mess... Most of the time it makes a hissing exploding noise and leaks all over the place. I believe it has to do with the type of grinds you get. If they are fine grinds then it makes it more difficult for the water to pass through which builds pressure and explodes/leaks. When grinds are less fine there are no problems. But that shouldn't be my problem and I shouldn't be restricted to certain grind sizes. Currently looking for a new maker to replace this one...For the short-term, Im only use it for hot water to make my instant coffee bc I dont want to bother cleaning the mess. The last straw..my mother stopped by yesterday and dropped off the tray to the same maker, the one I bought for Christmas for her. She said it hissed at her and leaked out on the sides.....Im waiting for the third person to bring me their tray...I wish they would fix this issue. There are other reviews on here that say the same... They can check my history since I did buy 3, they should do something about it.

Maker arrived yesterday. Tried to make coffee this morning. Complete no-go. Read the negative comments on Amazon. Clearly I got a dud as did many others. I really disregarded the "negativity" when I bought this because I thought Bunn was supposed to be a top company. I am sending it back. I had a Kureig (sic?) for many years and loved it. It finally died and I bought a newer Kureig. It has been nothing but problems, so I gave up on then and decided to go with the Bunn. It is worse. Maybe I will just buy a Mr. Coffee next.

I originally purchased this Bunn coffee in December 2015, and was satisfied with the performance of the machine & taste of coffee. However, after about 5 months of use, the coffee maker started to "explode", and spew water & coffee all over the kitchen counter and floor. This got more frequent until the machine would not make a cup of coffee. We were told there is a defective seal that is the cause. However, we were not able to get this resolved. We have thrown this coffee maker away, and have sworn Bunn and Keurig types of coffee makers. Too much of a hassle.

We are very disappointed with this product. Although the concept of multiple small brew options seems like a great idea, I think Bunn should stick to what it knows best. We use the one for loose coffee and it has broken, twice. The coffee maker itself is in great condition. We will calling the manufacturer once again for a replacement. I think this is I'm large part due to the product being plastic.

I purchased one of these as a repackaged unit from Amazon warehouse deals. The unit itself looked great and I liked the different types of adapters for for K-cups, grounds, water, etc. I unfortunately could not get my unit to work. I primed it and then poured in various amounts of water but the heating element never came on.I put it through about 10 cycles with the correct amount of water coming out but it was never even warm water. I waited up to 30 minutes between some cycles and the brew light never turned to green. I repacked it and sent it back to Amazon for a refund. Based on the reviews it looks like quality control is hit or miss, you either get a great unit or a dud.

I was happy with the machine for the first week. Then it started putting coffee grounds in my cup when I used a k cup. I called the company and they are supposed to be sending me a new seal. Yesterday I was brewing a cup and heard a loud pop and scalding hot water sprayed out the side. Thankfully no one was sitting across from it or they would have had scalding hot water in their face! I called the company again and they said I have a defective seal. They are sending me another seal and a video to watch. I am completely dissatisfied with this machine and thought I could count on Bunn to be the best. I was wanting to get away from the Keurig but I don't think this is the way to do it! I do not recommend this machine and consider it dangerous to use. I have only had it 2 weeks and have had this much trouble. Not a good product Bunn!!
