Great alternative to those other one cup coffee brewers
June 20, 2017
I work in a retirement community and the powers that be decided we could no longer have a regular coffee maker. They wouldn't buy us one of those fancy one cup expensive ones so my co worker and I bought this one. It works great! Our clients are now happy to have a cup of coffee once again as they sit under the dryer.
Way better than Keurig! I think so anyways 😊

I am a single cup coffee drinker and the only one in my house who drinks it. My friend gave me the yellow Keurig mini for Christmas because she got two of them. I was happy to take it but I've always felt that the k cups are bad. Not just for the environment but they've just got to leach poison. I mean you're pressuring extremely hot water through that thin plastic. I always would have a plastic after taste plus they're crazy expensive. I got an awesome stainless brew basket for the Keurig and I've used that for over a year now and been fine with it. It's a pain to clean but it worked. Then I just recently stayed in a hotel that had this pod machine and I loved it! No creepy plastic cups but still convenient no mess single cup pods! It's brilliant. Coffee sealed in a coffee filter. I bought the pods in bulk and they are significantly less per cup than the k cups. I bought a medium blend and a flavored kind and have liked them both. Brew time is like a regular drip machine but I'd rather wait an extra minute then mess with the Keurig and I think coffee tastes better the longer it's in contact with the water. The auto shut off is cool and it takes up very little space. So now the Keurig stays out only because it's cute and yellow, I use my grinder and French press when I have people over but this little machine is the king coffee maker in my kitchen. So glad I found it!
a godsend

i'm new to coffee. used to drink tea for a long time then one day i was staying at a Hampton Inn Suites and they had a coffee maker similar to this. it. was. amazing. i was soooo happy to find that they were super affordable!!! the problem however were the pods. but i found a way around that. i purchased this[...] wooden pod maker on ebay. only $10! i was worried it wouldn't work with this model but it did!!! and now i use my machine EVERY day. i buy whatever coffee i want from the grocery store, i buy regular coffee filters and simply make my own pods! viola! clever hack. i love love love this coffee maker! definitely a great buy! so is the pod maker! nothing else like it!
With managed expectations, a great option for tight budgets!
December 10, 2011
First, I bought this item at Walmart on clearance. Bought one for $10 intending to take up to the office. Our hot water spout on our water cooler at home (yes, it's that bad here) went out and this has replaced it. I ended up buying a second later at $9 (both included the free bag of pods) for the office since we're keeping the first one at home. My wife and I use it almost daily to make coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We interchange the tea bag for a coffee pod (depending on the tea, I will either leave the bag in my cup or actually use the basket) and have great results. I prefer using this over the microwave for hot water as it doesn't take much longer and stays hotter longer. It's quick, efficient, and easy to clean. Hot chocolate will splash up on the basket if you put it in the cup first, so be warned. We've been using them for about three months with no problems. Here are my main talking points:1. Single cup reservoir: you get about 8oz from a single brew and have to fill it up each time. This, to me, isn't that much of a problem as we keep it near our water cooler and I can get a 16oz cup of water from the breakroom at work to get me through the morning. I plan on buying a water jug for the office and will keep a gallon or so handy at my desk and just refill as needed. All in all, this is not a deal breaker for me although more expensive models have larger tanks (and a bigger footprint). For those making cups to go, this may not be the best option as you would want to brew two cups to get what you need.2. Quick: thing brews quickly - doesn't take any time at all. I actually find that it's done before I'm ready to drink most days. It's also no louder than any other coffee maker that I've found although I'm referring primarily to the 8 or 10 cup machines here - never had a personal one.3. Inexpensive: for my take, it was a test to see how much I like having a personal brewer. For the $10 I spent, I got 18-36 cups out of it (yes, I reuse my pods for a second cup sometimes... not terribly strong cup of coffee but I'm kind of cheap :o), get a $1.00 off coupon for the next bag of pods in store, and can even get another free bag for registering with Senso online (hello dummy email account!). So, for $10 it was a worthwhile investment and turns out, I love having a single cup brewer.4. Works: it's not as fancy as the other makers you can buy, just fill it up and press the tab to get your cup started. Coffee comes out hot in no time, and you're ready to go. I can see maybe wanting some of the other features but, for the most part, this simple functioning machine does exactly what I need.5. Versatility: As I said, we make coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in this thing. We put a tea bag in place of the coffee pod or just leave it in the cup to brew as the water comes down. For me, it depends on the tea and what I'm doing. For instance, when making a chai latte I will brew the bag in the cup and leave it for a few minutes, then add sugar and milk. Wonderful as going to the coffee shop. Also, it's got a small footprint that makes it easy to store - doesn't take up much room in our small kitchen or my desk space at work (cubicle environment). I use an extension cord at work but that is mostly due to where outlets are, and you can tuck away extra chord inside the machine if using close to the plug.I give it five stars because it meets or exceeds all my expectations - make sure you know what you want out of it and you will be pleased. This works GREAT for someone like me, with minimal expectations who just wants coffee on demand without the budget for the top tier makers. Even at $20, I think this is a great deal. Check Walmart first though - never know what you'll find!Side note: I'm still looking for a reusable pod for this to save money on pods (UPDATE: we're considering buying an Ecopad - tried product link but couldn't find the product we're actually looking at and it's difficult to know which is which so we haven't pulled the trigger)- $5 gets you 18 pods. I reuse each day so not terrible, but as stated I'm pretty cheap.12/16/2011 - UPDATE: my wife purchased a Keurig B40 model at Walmart as an anniversary present for me so I can compare the two units a little bit. I will say that the K-Cups make a great cup of coffee (got 12 in the box with the machine) but I'm still not a fan of the waste. We have EcoBrew reusable cups arriving today or tomorrow from Amazon for it. My initial thoughts: this maker moves faster - the Keurig takes 4 minutes to warm up. This unit is also quieter and has a MUCH smaller footprint. Keurig has a reservoir (48oz) which is nice but still has to be filled every few days. Also, the B40 has a small cup and large cup size - why would I make a small cup if I can get a large cup out of it (remember, I'm cheap)? Larger setting is nice for travel cups though, and I found that the K-Cups are also reusable. I can get a couple small cups out of one cup or one large and a mediocre small. Still not a fan of the waste they produce though. Once up and going the Keurig actually makes faster. We've still go the other though, and I don't see us getting rid of it. I'll still use my other daily at the office as well. All in all, I personally feel like this little maker is on par with the $75 Keurig as far as what it produces in the end, just doesn't provide all the various options.12/24/2011 - UPDATE: We decided today that the Keurig is going back to the store for a refund in favor of the Hamilton Beach - We're going to try the the Ecopad and maybe home made options. I'll report back in a few weeks on how it goes.3/8/2012 - UPDATE: I no longer use the Ecopad. I found it more difficult to use because the cap is a separate piece and it has to be cleaned out after every use. We've taken to following another reviewer's tip: I get a filter for a small pot (maybe a 4 cup or less if available), add coffee (1tsp to 1tbls depending on your preference), and create a sack by twisting the top. I don't cut the excess off - I prefer to push it down to the side to ensure it doesn't open. If you overfill it, it will force it open and you'll have hot water and coffee all over the place. This has been the most effective method so far, and the least costly. We also use the Senso pods.
What a great Little Coffee Maker!!
March 17, 2011
I bought this coffee maker for myself for Christmas because I wanted a single serve maker, but I didn't want to pay the money for a Keurig. Imagine my surprise when I got a Keurig from my husband for Christmas....but I also got this. So we set up the Keurig and I put this away. Shortly after Christmas my grandfather who lives with me entered his final journey with cancer. I moved into his apartment to care for him 24/7, and I opened the Hamilton Beach so I could make a quick cup of coffee during the night while sitting up with him. I was shocked to discover that this little $20 coffee pot makes just as good coffee as my $150 Keurig.1. It doesn't brew as fast as a Keurig that is "ready to go"...but it takes the same amount of time to brew a cup of coffee as a Keurig that has been "off" over night and you have to wait for the water to heat up. In my opinion, it is still faster than brewing a "traditional" pot of coffee.2. I don't like really strong coffee, so if I'm using a smaller mug I can get away with using 1 pod of medium roast coffee. I've read some reviews of people who think 1 pod is too weak...I think that is a taste preference, and also depends on if you are using more water for a larger mug or not. Just my opinion and not a criticism of people who like really strong coffee. If you like coffee really strong, then 2 pods of medium roast might not work for you. Hard to say. :)3. The pods are cheaper than a Keurig. We use this coffee maker along side our Keurig, and it helps us to save a little money by alternating machines. Both make good coffee, but each machine's coffee tastes different...this tastes more traditionally brewed than our Keurig. I know that might sound odd, but that is the only way I can describe it (and if someone else knows that I'm talking about and knows the answer to this mystery, I'd love to hear it!) Because of the taste difference, I prefer flavored coffees on this machine rather than the Keurig for some reason. Again..not sure why, but I do.All in all, this holds it's own against a coffee maker 5 times the price. For someone who is looking for a single serve without the single serve price, this is a really good coffee maker!

Great little coffee maker, perfect for me!!!
March 4, 2017
I love this little pot!!! I'm not an everyday coffee drinker but enjoy the occasional cup. We recently stayed in a hotel room that had this exact same model in it. I fell in love with it because I didn't have to measure water and it was so fast and easy! I came home and after researching similar models, ordered the same one from the hotel! I love that it's very small, doesn't take much space and that it doesn't hold more water than needed for one cup. I've always been a little grossed out by water sitting for days in a reservoir, not being used. Yuck. Since I'm not a daily coffee drinker, that wouldn't work for me. Also, I barely drink the whole 8 ounces, so I didn't want anything that made a larger cup or whole pot. I do, however, think my occasional coffee drinking might turn into more of a regular habit with this adorable coffee maker!UPDATE:My coffee habits haven't changed, but I use this pot daily for my morning Earl Grey tea. I drink various types of herbal tea daily, and also use it to get quick, hot water at just the right temp! Sometimes I buy the tea k-cups, sometimes I just drop in a tea bag as the water drips in. Still love it!
UPDATED REVIEW! Great for traveling
April 22, 2016
UPDATE: I've had this for 4 months now, there are still no issues and I still love it!This is a great small Keurig for traveling. Be aware that it does not have a water reservoir. Instead, you fill the back of the keurig each time you make a cup of coffee. It only brews an 8oz cup, but that is the size I like from my K-cups. I find that a 10oz brew tastes watered down, but I digress. The machine does take a few minutes to brew, as other reviewers have said. I am usually not in a big hurry so this did not bother me. I bought this Keurig because of its small size and I take it with me when I go on retreats or otherwise travel somewhere that doesn't have a coffee maker. This little guy brews fantastic coffee. My work has a gigantic Keurig (not sure of the model) that has all the bells and whistles, and I found that the Keurig K130 brews a better tasting cup of coffee. I did not experience any strange/plastic flavor, as other reviewers had complained about. Mine brewed great starting with the first cup.I am concerned about the longevity of this product, as others have stated theirs broke after a period of time. I will update my review if that happens. For now, there is no reason to rate this below 5 stars.
YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Coffee. Natures miracle in a little plastic nonbiodegradable K cup :)
March 21, 2015
Awesome!!!!!!! Best Keurig I've owned. People who are Wah Wah about it don't know what they are talking about. Mine has been chugging strong. It is simple to use and makes great tasting coffee. And the PRICE!..WHAT?!. You can't beat it. I had the other Keurig single serve one that is like over $100 and it sucks. This one has a sensor to tell you if your cup is in and will stop brewing if you pull the cup out too soon. My other one would have peed coffee all over the counter and ultimately the floor. It does smell like a new car when you taken out of the box, but who doesn't love that new car smell?? :D. Just run 10 cycles with regular water and BAM! the 11th cup taste like sweet music. You can't go wrong for $60. Also, yes this is the commercial model, but why wouldn't you want the one that is made to be used and abused, that's what commercial products are made for. Come on people..DRINK UP!
Take my Money NOW and AGAIN
February 4, 2015
Let me focus on one thing here. This machine changed coffee for everyone I think. The drip brewer is just so watered down. Those days are definately over and it took me a long time to jump the K-Train but now that I'm on it, I'm on it.Drip brewer coffee was a daily, morning necessity and like bad Heroin you just get used to it and keep going to the same dealer but one day you discover either another dealer or a different drug and that's what Keurig is to all drip brewers. The first cup I tried after a lifetime of drip brewers and this "I just need one cup in the morning" cofee drinker turned into that dude from that Dangerous Grounds TV show, wherein he risks his life going into the army guarded jungles of wherever just to get a bag of prime coffee beans.Angels didn't sing but my old drip brewer felt my disappointed stares when I walked by it and it knew, its number was up. And out. Out to the recycle bin, working or not, the boot, the curb, see ya forever! Coffee has taken on a whole new place in my life and now I drink on my days off a few cups a day and I live for looking for K-Cup assortment packs here on Amazon, looking to try new brands and flavors. And I also use this for heating up Ramen noodle cups and oatmeal cups and a bunch of other cooking with hot water in the kitchen, it's so great!!! This thing is just fantastic!!! And the price is just out of this world. Buy it now, don't wait and enjoy coffee for the first time. I don't know all the specifics of this machine like other reviewers do, where they get into the cup size, the brew rate and all this technical stuff because it's not what went through my mind when I tried the coffee and it's not how I describe Keurig to friends and family. I describe it to them as I did when I got my first IPOD or IPAD or Smartphone, I said, try this and you'll never think the same again!!! So try it. And keep it clean, that I will tell you, run vinegar through it every 3 months and let it rinse out 3 times with water to get the taste out and keep it hard water free and tasting great.I've been addicted to a lot of things in my life but Keurig is finally one thing I won't go to jail for. So what's your excuse? And what are you waiting for?
SO FAR SO GOOD
October 10, 2014
I first saw this machine while on vacation. Our hotel suite had this in the kitchen, and I thought this would be perfect for me, no measuring, no clean up, and since I'm the only one who drinks coffee in our home, this little baby would be just what I needed (plus it made a really good cup of coffee). So after returning home I set out to find this very machine. At the time, I didn't realize it was a "hospitality" model and not available in your local Bed Bath and Beyond or similar type store, and ended up buying the Keurig mini plus. To me (after using this machine) it felt cheap and plasticky, so I returned it and purchased this one on Amazon. So far so good, there is no "plastic" taste like other reviewers have experienced, but then again I cleaned it thouroghly and rinsed it several times before using it, one cycle with vinegar and water. I only use bottled water and k-cups with the Keurig logo (no generics) to make my coffee, so maybe that's the difference between my experience and theirs. I also run plain water through it every few cups to keep coffee grounds from accumulating or plugging up the needle, and as I said, so far so good. I love my Keurig!
New2KeurigNloveIt!
February 16, 2013
Just received my new Keurig B130 DeskPro Brewing System today.... And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! I have already made both coffee and tea with it. Beverage comes out at the perfect temperature each time. Simple to use. Takes up little space, which is perfect if you don't have a lot of counter space like me. I ordered this brewer over the many other choices of Keurig systems because it doesn't have the water reservoir tank (I like the idea of using fresh water every time rather than water that has been sitting). Perfect for home use and my needs.I did run about 8 cycles through the system before making my first cup of coffee to avoid the "burnt plastic" taste I have read about in other reviews. I ran one of the cycles with distilled white vinegar instead of water.... This will help if you get the plastic taste. Now as far as the complaints about not being able to use a reusuable filter like the "my k-cup".... I have read the only filter that will work with this system is the newest version of the SoloFill cup. It can be found here on Amazon. I ordered one and I should receive it next week. I will let you know if it does in fact work. I would love to be able to use my own coffee with this system.Bottom line- If you are looking for a smaller cheaper alternative to the larger Keurig brewers, this will be perfect for you. Keep in mind it is a single serve brewer though and only makes 8oz cups where the other brewers have multiple cup size options.****UPDATE****Still loving this Keurig brewer.Received the Solofill reusuable kcup today and it DOES work just fine with this machine. So if your looking for a reusuable cup instead of the one time use kcups, the Solofill works just fine!

Just like the ones in many hotel chains
July 17, 2016
This is basically the same model that is featured as the standard in-room coffee maker for many hotel rooms I have visited while traveling. I never drank enough coffee to justify having a coffee pot; this allows me to brew right into my mug, rinse the pod holder, and be on my way. I see this being useful for households like mine where there is only one moderate coffee drinker. If you are a heavy consumer or multiple people drink your coffee, then you probably need something else. I do not rent out rooms on Airbnb, but if I did I would put one of these in the guest room like a hotel :)Hint: if you want to use pods that allow you to load your own choice of ground coffee, I have been using these Coffee Pod Replacement Filters for Coffee Pod Brewers - Make Your Own Disposable Pods - 50 Pack by Easy Pack
Love This!
November 10, 2015
I purchased this for my classroom as I grew tired of drinking microwaved water for my tea. While it feels a bit clunky, it does the job it was made for. The top portion seems to hold a normal mug amount of water. If you have a larger mug, you will overflow the top. If you have the patience, you can fill it to capacity and as it is cycling through the machine, you can add the rest of your water when the level goes down enough. As soon as you push the front button, the machine begins to work and the hot water comes out in seconds. It will take about a minute for your mug to be ready. I do not use the included coffee pods but I have placed a tea bag in the pod area and that works great to quicken the steep process. Just make sure you leave the string & tag hanging out. When the hot water has finished, gently pull out the tray and put your tea bag in the garbage or into your mug for a stronger brew. Please note that you have to open the tray gently. I pulled it a bit harshly one time and steam/hot water stung my hand a bit. The electrical cord in the back could be longer but is sufficient for the price. It also can be push into the back compartment for easier storage. All in all I recommend this little machine for those who don't want to spend money on a larger product or keurig-type machine.
Nice little coffee maker
November 1, 2015
I bought this coffee maker several years ago to keep at my son's house when I visit since they are not coffee drinkers. It's worked out great because it doesn't take up much space when they put it away after I leave. Makes a really good cup of coffee in not much time at all. My only problem with it is that the coffee pods are hard to find. On several of my visits we went to the store (Walmart) to get the pods and could not find them and ended up having to buy instant. Finally, on my last visit I remembered to order some from Amazon a few days before we left to go to his house. I don't know why the larger grocery stores don't carry the pods. Maybe K-cups have become too popular. Or maybe they were in front of my face and I was just missing them. Other than that, I really like this little coffee maker.
A good buy for the office as a personal one-cup coffee brewer
March 29, 2015
I just received it and although I like it I wish it was a little cleaner after it brews. When taking out the pod holder after brewing it drips quite a bit but can be easily wiped up. It brews like a drip coffee maker, not like a Keurig in case you are wondering. I really like the pod concept mainly because it is far less waste unlike the Keurig k-cups. It will brew up to 12oz. of coffee at one time and you can only use a short mug. Overall, it was a good buy for the office as a personal one-cup coffee brewer.
One Cup Maker
December 31, 2013
Here is the deal...This coffee maker is not top of the line....the price reflects that. However, I am quite happy with this item so far. The chrome (fake) strip around the top...dresses it up a bit. The coffee comes out hot and steaming (not like boiled instant)...but definitely acceptable. The flavor of the cup I drank was good. Do not use too much water! (you have the option of using two pods for a 10-12 oz cup. I recommend it. Update: Not much has changed after several cups. I would prefer it "piping" hot rather than marginally hot. It is OK. I can adjust the darkness of the coffee easily by adding or subtracting the amount of water used.
Awesome little maker

*** Note 8/6/2012 - So I'm finally able to update this thing, now that Senseo is starting to get some product in stock. A few things to note for those new to Senseo, their majority holdings from Philips were recently sold to Sara Lee I believe, and this caused a massive disruption in production and availability for the US, and thus Senseo brand coffee had been unavailable for several months. They have also made the decision to go to online-only shipping of their coffee, meaning you will not find Senseo coffee in stores anymore. The in-store alternative is the Melitta brand pods, which fit the Senseo maker, and should be sold in places such as WalMart. Personally, since Senseo has also increased their costs of their coffee (while also jerking their customers such as myself around for months), I won't really recommend the Senseo brand anymore. Decent coffee depending on your tastes, so you will have to decide what's worthwhile to you.The review for this pod drip brewer will still stand, as it is still working just fine.***I love this little thing!Originally, we had a very nice KitchenAid 10-cup Coffee Maker in our kitchen. It did its job very well, but for a long time I had been eying a Keurig machine. I'd had Keurig coffee in the past, and loved it. Looking at the machines, you'll quickly see how much of an "investment" it is. First, the machines are incredibly expensive; they make smaller models now, but even those start around $60-$70, and many don't have stellar reviews in terms of longevity. Next, the K-cups are also very expensive. Sure, you can buy the reusable thing, but if I'm going through that hassle, why do I even need a specialized brewer to begin with? It may work fine for some people's lives, but in my own, I wanted a machine that eliminated the mess and hassle of measuring quantities and looking for the "perfect brew".I purchased the Hamilton Beach Personal Cup One Cup Pod Brewer on a whim; it was on sale, and figured, what the heck, I'll try it.When I first plugged the thing it, and poured some water in the back to cycle through, it immediately spattered at me. Apparently, it can turn itself on when you first plug it in (I've purchased 2, and both did it out of the box, but haven't done it since).I'm not gonna lie, this isn't some super durable machine; its cheap plastic, but unless you're planning on tossing it across the room, it should get at least a few years life out of it. I've had our machine for about 5 months now (wow time flies), and use it daily without any problems. My wife, whom was always timid of making coffee with our KitchenAid, now likes to make coffee for herself, and sometimes for me as well to start off the morning (tell me THAT isn't worth $20). The Senseo pods are cheaper than K-cups, especially if bought in bulk.On to the product itself, it looks sleek, but pretty unimpressive. I don't know about you, but that's perfect for my kitchen; every inch of counter-space should be cherished, and this has freed up quite a bit, not to mention the visual space as its half the height of my old coffee maker as well. Its a simple one-touch operation. To make a brew, slip in a Senseo pod (or 2), add some water to the back, put your mug under the spout, and press the large button on front. That's it.As for the taste, well that's really a personal preference. I like mild, smooth coffee, which this really delivers. I liked the medium blend (a pack is included free) so much, I ordered a huge box of it! I use a small cup of water (approx 6-8oz; I recommend using filtered water), and one pod, but the machine accommodates 2 if you like it a little more "bold" or have a slightly larger mug (keep in mind, no large mugs will fit in the spout). We received a 6-piece mini-mug kit for Christmas, and those have been perfect for making a small little cup to start the day (it also limits my coffee intake, and I've been good with sticking to it).Yes, this machine isn't anything fancy, but it does its job day in day out with no issues, and works so well that we replaced a very expensive machine, and we haven't looked back. It worked so well, we ordered one for my parents at their request they were so impressed with it.If you have a large household of coffee drinkers, this may not be the way to go, but the good thing is it only takes 30 seconds or so to make a cup of coffee, and you can personalize each cup. It would make an excellent personal coffee maker at the office as well. Amazon has a pretty decent selection of Senseo pods as well. If you prefer to buy in-store, Target usually carries the Senseo pods, but doesn't have much of a selection, depending on the store. As a side note - The medium blend goes really well with Internationl Delight: Carmel Macchiato Creamer (don't get the skinny though, that's pretty...unimpressive). Have it practically every morning; their Chai Latte is pretty good too.***Edit 10/7/2011***--------------------Just wanted to say that this coffee maker is still brewing coffee just fine, haven't had a single issue with it yet so far. Still have the daily routine of small cup of coffee with International Delight: Carmel Macchiato creamer, its just such a great way to start the day I don't need to mess with it.One other note I will mention is that since I have recently started composting, I have found that the coffee pods are perfect for composting! After use, just throw 'em in the bin, that's all there is to it. Not everyone composts, but figure for those that do, it will be good to know; less waste, and the perfect component for growing plants (you could technically just stick a few in the ground and it helps to neutralize the soil Ph; Gardenias love having coffee grounds in my alkaline soil from my experience).

Within a year, it has begun to slowly decrease ...
August 24, 2016
Within a year, it has begun to slowly decrease the heating of the water leaving me with lukewarm water. I've used the Keurig cleaning solution and have done everything to remedy it, hasn't worked. Mind you, I've used the machine maybe in total of 100 times during the course of the past year. (Starbucks, and Keurigs are at work.)
Great little machine!!
February 23, 2016
Love the coffee maker! I wanted a Keurig for years, but we don't drink enough to justify one of the large ones (didn't want that large tank of water just sitting there). We also live in a condo and counter space is precious. This machine has a perfect footprint for small kitchens. If you are used to the large Keurig coffee machines...this one will feel like it takes forever compared to them (it does take several minutes).I don't mind the wait time, its for afternoon and weekend coffee. If you are looking for something that will quickly brew your coffee as you head out the door all in a rush in the morning, this guy is probably not your best bet. I would give it 5 stars if it brewed a bit faster, I'm not looking to match the speed of the full size models, but a little faster.
Really Like my Keurig
September 25, 2014
After using the Keurig K130/B130 Brewer at a hotel I knew this was what I've been looking for. Cannot find these small ones in the stores and this model fits perfect in my kitchen as I have limited counter space. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so the single cup brewer without all the extra bells and whistles really fit the bill for me. Plus there's no water reservoir to worry about. Ordered the Keurig Cafe Cup My K-Cup Single Reusable Coffee Filter so I could use my own coffee rather than the expensive K-Cups. At this point in time I'm very pleased with the machine. I've had no plastic taste as some have mentioned, the coffee brews to the strength that suits me and its hot. Upon the first couple of brews with my own coffee in the filter I did notice the coffee was a bit watered down so I then reduced the water from 8 oz. (fill line) to 7 oz. which is just right for my taste. If you like a strong brew use less water not more coffee grounds! I think it was the 4th & 5th brew that after the coffee poured into the cup the machine popped open and spit the filter and grounds over the counter and floor. At this point I thought I had a defective machine. Next use I made sure my filter rim was free of any coffee grounds and that it was pinched tight all around for a good seal before inserting the filter. I pressed the machine top down and gave it an extra little push downward for a snug fit and at that point I felt an extra little snap. Put water in the reservoir and proceeded with the brew. It worked perfect and continues to do so. Came to the conclusion that the two times it popped open was because the top was not latched snuggly so it released prematurally under pressure. So if you have experienced the filter or K-Cup spitting out you may want to try giving the top a little extra push when closing it. Using the filter with my own coffee grounds there is a bit of sludge in the bottom of my cup but not enough to concern me. I just don't drink it. Its the simplicity of the machine that I like and the fact that I can brew just one or two cups without any clean up other than rinsing out the filter. I also purchased the Solofill Cup K3 Chrome from WalMart as I was shopping the other day. It has a better hinge on the lid and seems better made but both filters work equally as well. If you order filters just be sure you are ordering the proper one for your particular model as they are not all compatible with certain models. I would recommend this brewer to others and stress that some problems, not all, are usually due to operator error as people tend to not read instructions.UPDATE: I purchased EZ-Cup paper filters from Bed,Bath & Beyond to insert into the My K-Cup filter & Solofill Cup K3. Just had to cut the paper lid flap off. By using the paper filters the problem with coffee sludge has been totally eliminated.
Better Construction than similiar Keurig Models.
September 3, 2014
I love this machine. It's easy to use, makes a steaming hot cup of coffee. Some reviews say that the 3 minute brew time is too long but I appreciate the extra time and power this machine offers because the coffee comes out extra hot which I prefer. The other one cup machines don't get the coffee as hot. I also like that I'm not making a huge cup of coffee. I'm not a bells and whistles kind of person so the simplicity of this machine is exactly what I wanted. It also has a sturdy construction, maybe because of it's commercial grade. Other Keurig machines I checked out at the big box stores are so cheaply made. The plastic is thin and didn't look like it would last long. I was pleasantly surprised that this particular model has a higher grade construction. Lots of power, strong hot coffee in 3 minutes. I gave it 4/5 stars because I don't like that the machine makes you put the coffee pod and water in a certain order. I can't get the water reservoir door open without putting a pod in the product first. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying.
Decent for the Price
March 14, 2014
Let me start by saying that my first Keurig was one with a water resevoir, so this is somewhat of a down grade for me. This product makes a nice hot beverage fairly quickly and is easy to use. However, the process is somewhat annoying. Instead of just taking a mug and dumping the water in you have to be fairly careful or the machine will overflow (from the inside apparently), and you'll end up with water all under your machine. Also, the space between the platform and where the water comes out is very small and does not fit most of my mugs (which are all fairly average sized mugs). This is remedied by removing the platform, but the down side is that this platform is intended to capture the overflowing water mentioned above. So basically, if you're brewing tiny little tea cups or espresso cups I'm sure it's fine. But don't expect it to hold your favorite Christmas mug.
Fast and Convenient (after I got rid of the plastic smell and taste)
June 2, 2013
I was really excited about this coffeemaker, and it did suit my coffee brewing needs. However, I would advise anyone getting these coffee makers to do their research about what brewing system features they need beforehand. Yes, it does only brew an 8 ounce cup of coffee. It does not have a water reservoir so you do have to refill it every time. It will not accommodate huge travel mugs. However, I was more than ok with this because I do not drink more than 8 ounces of coffee at a time, and I usually only drink a cup a day. The lack of a water reservoir saved me precious counter space (which I need because I have an apartment with a fairly small kitchen). My biggest complaint about this machine is the plastic smell and taste I experienced. The first cup of coffee I brewed tasted perfectly fine. The cup of tea I brewed the next day smelled and tasted horrendous. I brewed another cup of tea, thinking perhaps it was a bad K-cup (I got a sampler pack), but it tasted awful as well. I then ran water through the machine, and it smelled and tasted like plastic. By this point, my whole kitchen had a plastic smell.I read a lot of forums online, and it seemed like others were having a similar problem with this system and even with the $200 Keurig brewing systems. For this system, I believe the plastic taste and smell was caused by the plastic part that holds the K-cup in place. I soaked this part in different rinses of white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, hot water, and hot soapy water. I also ran vinegar and water through it about 20 times (1 vinegar rinse, 9 water rinses, another vinegar rinse, 9 more water rinses). After all this, the plastic smell was finally gone. This is the reason this brewing system lost a star. I should have been able to use this system straight out of the box. I really think Keurig needs to address this problem since some of the forum complaints about the plastic smell and taste date back to 2010.As for the quality of coffee, tea, etc., I think it really depends on the K-cups. I bought a sampler pack, and it is clear that some brands are far superior to others. (I'll save these specific comments for my review of the sampler pack.) My biggest complaint about the K-cups is that many of them use aspartame or sucralose. There are K-cups with natural ingredients, but you have to look for them.I do not regret buying this product, I just wish I didn't have to spend so much time "purging" it before it would work.

Got 14 months of use out of it before it broke.

01/2016 - Little bit of smoke started coming out of the top and the water wasn't being drawn from the well. I guess the pump finally gave out. Paid $16 for it and used it for 14 months.05/2015 - Started using T-Sacs Size 1, when we couldn't get the DisposaPods anymore. They are a lot easier to work with and cost less.11/2014 - So far so good. We've had it a week and my mother has only forgotten a mug once. She says it isn't hot enough but then again none of the brewers she's had before were hot enough for her liking. Easy to use and keep clean. I bought DisposaPods and filled them with her favorite coffee, so no problems searching for her coffee in prepackaged pods in the grocery store. Probably a lot cheaper too.
but I like a good cup of coffee
November 11, 2014
Coffee is something I can get rather picky about. I have a SCAA-certified Technivorm brewer, and even roasted my own coffee for years. I'm no expert, but I like a good cup of coffee. However, at the office, I just want to have a convenient, decent afternoon cup of coffee and the coffee pot at work doesn't cut it. I also didn't want to spend $100+ on a Keurig, so I figured I'd give this a try. Depending on which coffee you use, it's pretty good. The coffee it comes with (Melitta) tastes like what you get in a cheap hotel. The Senseo Dark Roast is ok. I've settled on the Baronet Kenya AA. It produces a single cup of coffee with decent aroma and flavor. The main drawback to this brewer is I can't find the coffee pods anywhere else. The K-cups are taking over this niche, so you may wake up one day and find you have to buy a Keurig anyway. If you are expecting an outstanding cup of coffee, keep looking and invest in something else. If you can't stomach the break room coffee, but don't want to go to Starbucks, this is worth a try.
Fine if you don't like your coffee strong
March 30, 2014
This little pod coffee maker works as it is advertised. The trouble is, it does not force the water through the pod as pod coffee makers did when they were on the market and reasonably priced. I can't find any of those any more...they were great and always made a good, strong cup of coffee. Without pressure, the water going through the pod doesn't really extract all the coffee flavor and "gusto". If you like a weaker or milder brew, this thing works fine with pods (but would not work with loose coffee). If you want a robust cup of coffee I recommend a cone-type filter where you line with a triangular filter paper and put the coffee in there, put the filter on the cup, then pour boiling water through. You can determine how strong you like the coffee by the amount of coffee grounds you put in the filter. We use Melitta Coffee filter cones, plastic, that are made in Canada. You can buy the cone-shaped paper filters in any supermarket...they are inexpensive. If you like a strong, dark coffee, we like Cafe Bustelo finely ground coffee..it's not expensive and works well with the filter cones. If you like the Hamilton Beach coffee brewer, we always buy Senseo pods from Amazon.
Just so-so
February 15, 2014
I bought this coffeemaker, because the new job I was going to didn't have coffee close to where I sit. It doesn't take up much room, but the coffee is just so-so. One of the biggest problems I have with it is the coffee isn't very hot when it comes out. After sipping my coffee for a couple minutes, it's so cold that I have to pour it out. At home I use the Bunn MC single cup brewer along with Senseo Columbian Blend pods. These pods in my Bunn makes the best cup of coffee, but not so good in this machine. If you just want a cup of coffee, then this will do fine. It's not for me. I think I am going to buy another Bunn for my desk at work.

Adequate
September 5, 2017
The brewer is as expected. It should have included at least an instruction manual. The decals on the front are not particularly intuitive. I purchased it to take on vacation and it functioned okay.
Works for what it's designed for.
October 28, 2016
Works well for what it's designed for. I really only have 3 major complaints. One, the procedure for starting a brew must be completed exactly, without skipping a step and within a certain allotment of time. If you do not complete the procedure, the machine will turn itself off and require you to start the procedure over again. Two, the height and width of the opening for your coffee cup is really short and narrow. Three, after the cup is poured and machine appears to be off, liquid collects in the collection tray AND underneath it, which is annoying. It's probably just condensation but could also be a leak in my machine.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!
May 18, 2016
5/23/16 - Malfunctioned slightly after the 5th use, inserted a k-cup for brewing. But after waiting for 4 minutes the machine turned off, water didn't dispense but was heated up and still contained in the reservoir. To remedy this i simpy restarted it, and it dispensed it; although it sprayed out erratically into the cup.5/27/16: Another slight malfunction (i think?) It started dispensing the beverage but it spewed it all over the inner wall where the cup rests. So i skimmed through the instructions excited to prep my new keurig machine for use, and i plug it into a multi outlet strip and bam my power goes out after the plug sparks.I'm sweating bullets now thinking i fried it, luckily i went to a free outlet in the kitchen and it powered up fine. I poured in 8 oz of water for its prep brew and another k cup afterwards.Afterwards to brew a k cup for this machine i opened the k cup brewing holder and inserted the k cup (BEWARE THE K CUP HOLDER HAS NEEDLES INSIDE IT SO WATCH YOUR FINGERS WHEN WASHING IT), when you close the k cup holder the water reservoir will pop open after snapping the k cup holder shut, pour in 8 oz of water and close the reservoir cover, the machine should flash a Place cup light if you haven't already, then the brew light shoulder shine signaling it is ready to start heating up water to brew. The only downside to this is you have to wait a minute or two when you want a drink and the reservoir is designed for one cup, Good machine for light/solo use it would seem. The only parts that detach are the drip catcher/cup stand and the k cup holder, everything else such as the water tank is integrated. I have read that this machine can use reusable k cup's.
Not designed for reusable k-cups
October 24, 2015
Well.... I usually do better research before buying, so I have no one to blame but myself. I was torn between getting the K10 Mini Plus (home model) and this one, which is for commercial use. My reason for choosing this was that I liked the design better and thought it would be more durable. It was also slightly less expensive. It works, but in comparison to the home models I have used:The water/coffee does not get as hotYou only have one size option when pouring in water**It is NOT compatible with most if not all reusable k-cupsThis last point is important to note because it's really the only way to be economical with a personal brewer like this. I have tried two different types of reusable k-cups and neither work, even ones that stated specifically that they were compatible with the K-130. The brewer will not close with the inserts and you really have no choice but to buy prefilled k-cups or reuse an old k-cup by putting aluminum foil over the top (have not tried this myself). Upon further research, I discovered (on the singleservecoffeeforums site) that many people who bought this model and contacted Keurig were told that because it is designed for use in hotels and such, they purposely made it incompatible with reusable k-cups to ensure that businesses would make monthly k-cup purchases from distributors. This makes sense to me from a business perspective, but had I known I would not have purchased this unit for home use. I will likely bring it to work for my cubicle where disposable k-cups are more convenient and where I will use far less, and I will purchase a K-10 brewer for home use. Live and learn.About the only positive I can say is that the unit is taller, so when you remove the base you can fit a tall travel mug under the dispenser, unlike the mini-plus which apparently (from Q&A) does not provide as much room. However, there is a sensor that detects if a cup is present, so if your large mug is tapered and the base can't be "seen" by the sensor, the brewer will not dispense.
K130 isn't bad, but I immediately returned it & got the K145 instead (for just $35 more)
July 11, 2015
After resisting the K-cup trend for as long as possible, I finally jumped on the bandwagon. Then came the challenge of figuring out which machine to buy! I was really on the fence - small & relatively cheap vs. water reservoir for more $$Because this is really for my soon-to-be college kid, I initially ordered the entry-level K130. Here's my take:PRO: The whole one-cup-brewing thing really is pretty sweet. Everyone in the family gets just the right drink and, since none of us are major beverage snobs, it's a great option. I also ordered a variety pack - the various coffee, cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate & hot cider cups have all been quite tasty. The K130's price tag of ~$80 isn't unreasonable. If you generally use normal-size coffee cups & just want a standard 8 oz beverage, this will meet your needs.CON: Having to add water each time gets old really quick - I have to drag the machine to the edge of the counter in order fill the reservoir without making a mess (hey, I'm kinda short!). Wider mugs don't fit, and it takes no small effort to fit taller travel cups & mugs under the spout.Long story short, it took less than a week to decide it was worth another $35 to upgrade to the K145. It's MUCH easier to use. And we've already saved more than that by cutting down on trips to the neighborhood coffee shop. We'll recoup the entire purchase cost before summer ends!
Okay for single use

This version of the Kuerig is designed for hotels. I bought this for when I travel and it is small enough that I can set it up in what ever hotel I am staying in. For that is is nice, it is durable and I wouldn't pack it in luggage if you are flying but if you are travelling by car it is great to have on the road. The reason I gave it three stars and why I would not recommend it for home or office is for whatever reason it makes weaker coffee than the Kueric I have at home (I have the B60). I have no idea why the coffee is weaker but the exact same K-cup brewed by the B130 doesn't taste the same as the one from my B60. I am by no means a coffee snob, in fact I am a two cream and 2 sugar guy and even with the cream and sugar I can taste the difference. All that being said it is still far superior to whatever horrid coffee you find in most hotel rooms so it is great to travel with but if this is something you were thinking for your kitchen or office I would spend the extra money and get a bigger version

I do not like this product.
August 27, 2017
The machine does not brew quickly, and I was only heating water for tea. It also did not dispense as much water as I put in, so I didn't have a full cup. Last, the cup did not fit easily, and it is not a large cup.

Looking for coffee brewed too fast? You're in luck!
November 3, 2015
Convenient, but if you are a coffee aficionado looking for a cup of coffee with body and flavor, look elsewhere. It perks too quickly, which removes the opportunity to draw out any flavor from the grounds. Even the water is just a tad above hot. A friend who grows coffee in the mountains of Puerto Rico sent me a couple of sacks of grounds. Now, Puerto Rican coffee is excellent: I expected something of better quality than the Nescafe I've become accustomed to. The cup I percolated was devoid of flavor. I bought a better coffee maker and now I'm enjoying coffee the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
Use caution
September 29, 2015
If you are willing to use the coffee pods that can be purchased from a limited number of coffee retailers and use a small cup, this coffee maker is ok. If you want to fill empty paper pods with your usual brand of coffee - the paper pods are available online - be prepared for a lot of grounds in the bottom of the cup. The cup must also be small enough to fit under where the coffee drips out. If I hadn't thrown the box away I would have returned the item.
problem with the order (hamilton beach coffee maker single cup)
January 16, 2014
the box said 8 pods were included, but were not. when i called cust service (I called 2x) to tell them about it, he was insisting that they weren't. but thats what it said on the box. i even said "i wish there is a way of me showing you the box". so the first one insisted that she would put a replacement in, n that i would have to return the one that i got and paid for, and set that.up. as i was checking out the website, i have noticed that the first cust service's replacement (that she put in) was just a box of the coffeee pods which i ordered already (Good thing!). and the coffeemaker that she wanted me to return was not one of the replacements..so i called again and spoke to somebody else and he was the one who kept insisting that 8 pods werent included when i was looking right at it on the box..then he told me to reject.the.package that was gonna come to my house n call again to get a return label..which i.havent had time to.do.so..

BE VERY CAUTIOUS!
February 4, 2016
I bought this Keurig 4 months ago, and it worked fine up until a few weeks ago. It started with small stuff, where the coffee tasted burnt or off. Then the machine started smoking every time it poured the coffee (which almost set off the fire alarm to our building), and then it abruptly shut down. Doesn't do anything anymore. We tried unplugging it, I cleaned it inside and out, but the thing is dead. The best part is that I can't even exchange it, which is ridiculous because it's barely been a few months. And with the college student budget, I can't afford a new one. So BE ADVISED before you buy this! It might come back to bite you in the ass.
everything tasted like plastic Keurig K130
October 24, 2015
1 star because it arrived undamaged, and 1 star because it CAN brew --- but it was disgusting: everything i brewed had a plastic taste to it. i did about a dozen "only water" cycles but didn't help at all, the water just smelled like plastic same as the kcups would. i thought "maybe if i leave it open and let it air out for a day or two it will help", nope still the same plastic taste. even walking by it on the counter, i could smell the plastic aroma. returned it no problem. avoid this Keurig K130
Perfect for travel and "occasional" at-home coffee/tea drinkers -- PRAY it doesn't break ... it'll cost you!

First found out about this little machine whilst staying at the Rio in LV. It is great for ONE cup of coffee at a time -- not everyday use. Caesar's Entertainment's properties were charging $8 for 3 K-cups, so we decided to purchase this machine to travel with.It was used ONE time. The second time, water began coming out of the bottom right corner of the unit (near power button). We contacted the seller to return it and received this response stating that we 'could' return the product with the following fees:$15.00 to return ship; $10.00 restocking fee. And then this statement:"This total could easily exceed $28.00. If the unit is tested and deemed defective, a full refund will be issued. If the unit is tested and fully functional you will receive a partial refund less these charges. It is your choice to keep the item at this point or return it to us. If the unit comes back in like new condition there is an opportunity to reduce or eliminate the restocking fees. In many cases it is more cost effective to keep the item purchased."I will be repairing this unit myself. More than likely, something has come loose and can be easily repaired.
Didn't even last two years
May 21, 2014
Very disappointed with this B130 model. Just shy of two years, my cups of coffee started to contain significant grounds. The k-cup foil looked like it had exploded each time I brewed a cup. Even with no pod present, the machine would drip significant water through the nozzle while it was heating the water. I read that this indicated that the check valve had failed in the open position. Whatever... I have moved on to another brand and let's hope that it lasts longer than two years!!!UPDATE 5/30: I replaced my B130 with a Mr. Coffee which was about $10 more than the B130 on Amazon. The Mr. Coffee is so much more convenient. After the first brew, it sucks in more water from its 40oz reservoir and keeps it pre-heated so each subsequent cup of coffee takes about 30 seconds. Even if this Mr. Coffee only lasts 2 years (like my previous B130), it would be so much more worth it due to the speed of the brew. Big time savings!!! Serving up three cups of coffee to guests is no longer a 10+ minute affair.
ok for some, probably won't satisfy coffee connoisseurs
March 10, 2014
I like to start off my day with a hot cup of coffee. I needed a new coffee maker and I thought I would give the Keurig system a try. I can see how some folks would like how easy it is to use and clean up. There is one shortcoming that may affect some more than others, depending on your tastes. The coffee comes out just barely warm - and that's just black coffee...if you add milk or cream then it's practically ambient temperature. When you look at the K-cup system, it's fairly obvious that physics is against it - a small amount of hot water has to heat up everything inside the brewing machine, the coffee grounds, and also the cup. No effort is made on the part of Keurig to heat these components before brewing, which to me is a mistake. If all that you're after is your daily dose of caffeine and you're more concerned with easy cleanup than taste then this thing will probably work for you. However if you like to savor your coffee, this is a hard sell. When you consider that most commercial systems have a special heating plate for keeping the coffee at just the right temperature and that this brewer costs a lot more per cup than they do, it is hard to give this "coffee maker" more than two stars.PS - there is a cup detection system on this thing so that you accidentally don't turn it on without a cup. It is fairly buggy and doesn't always detect all cups. I have to put a metal spoon into mine or otherwise it won't see it.

I usually make coffee in a french press, but after breaking the carafe for a second time, we decided to try this system. I usually drink a travel mug of coffee on my way to work, so only half of the french press, so I was excited when this came in the mail, thinking it would be an easy quick solution for my mornings. I ordered the refillable K cup so that I wouldn't have to throw out so much trash too. I was disappointed that the well only fits 8oz of water. That is a pretty tiny mug of coffee and only 1/2 a travel coffee mug. I tried filling the other half with milk, but the coffee wasn't hot enough, so once adding milk, it would be too cold to drink. The reusable Kcup is a little difficult to fit in the coffee maker too. A few times the machine has popped open because the Kcup wasn't secure enough. When I tried adding an additional 8 oz of water and then running it through the same used coffee grinds, it came out very weak. Also, my wide mugs don't fit.I've made it work okay. I use an extra dark roast coffee, ground fine, and run it through twice in the morning (still a 8 minute process.) Also, how do you pour water in from the mug without pouring it all over the place?? I have to use a glass measuring cup, so that I don't make a huge mess. Of course the taste doesn't compare to the french press either. So if you only want a little 8oz styrofoam cup, like in an office. Then it will work fine. But if you are like me and drink a large cup a coffee every morning on the way to work... then consider spending more money and getting the nicer Kerurg. Me, I'm going to take this to work and order another french press carafe.

Keurig (the manufacturer) will not address the problem since the warranty should be handled by Happy Haus (the seller)
April 11, 2017
The machine is non-functional after 4 months of use. The water reservoir lid has snapped shut and does not open. Keurig (the manufacturer) will not address the problem since the warranty should be handled by Happy Haus (the seller), which has not even reported the serial number of the machine as a product that was sold. All my repeated attempts to make contact with this seller have taken me around and around with no answer or solution. The machine is still under warranty, but Amazon and Happy Haus only replace or repair products within 30 days of sale and completely ignore warranty issues.
I want to like it, but just can't

Do not buy.I want to like it, but just can't.I wish that I would have headed the other reviews at the time I bought this. It does brew a perfect cup of plastic flavored drink, but not so good with coffee.I was hopeful that folks were being over critical, since I've had such good experiences with Keurig to date other than this. I couldn't believe that such a quality company would produce such a thing.I bought it for light duty occasional use in an rv. It would work well for that purpose, and otherwise like it very much..... but the flavor. Ugh!I did an initial flushing, several rinses with vinegar, then rinse, then baking soda, then a lot more rinsing. It was still a bad taste but I was hopeful that time and use would help.I store it completely open so everything has a chance to air out and stay dry. Sadly, use and and time has not helped...... many cups of plastic flavored caffeinated beverage later....I think the plastic flavor has gotten stronger!
Keurig WILL NOT honor their warranty / Rust after 6 months

Keurig WILL NOT honor the warranty on this product, and they will be extremely rude about it. Mine started to rust (in the metal cup that you pour water into) 6 months after use. I tried to process a warranty claim with Keurig Commercial Division, and they hung up on me twice and kept telling me why don't i try to get the warranty work done with Kitchenista (Amazon's Fulfillment), then i was accused of stealing it from a hotel, or buying a stolen product from Amazon. Keurig Commercial Products division is unprofessional, and they will not budge, nor will they back up their warranty. Since then i have escalated the issue with the corporate office. I received a phone call back, but the issue still remains unresolved. Which poses the question, "Why are we buying an expensive product, if the manufacturer won't stand behind it??" Why not just buy one of the many other, cheaper machines, and who cares about a warranty right?***UPDATE***I sent 2 emails, and i posted a picture of the rust on Keurig's Facebook wall. The corporate office got back with me today, and they will be sending me out a Mini Plus Personal brewer instead of the commercial one (k130). The problem appears to be resolved. I even got an order confirmation for the new brewer sent to my email. (I think its also important that if you buy this brewer, that you register it on their website.) Good luck if you get any problems with this brewer; it will take some work to get it replaced.
I am so disappointed in my first Keurig buying experience
January 15, 2015
Returning. I am so disappointed in my first Keurig buying experience. The first couple uses were perfect and I fell in love with the product. BUT after about two weeks when I would insert the K-Cup and wait for the water part to pop up, it wouldn't click and stay. I would have to continuously press the kcup closed til it snapped and clicked together before i could close the water top. What pisses me off even more, this morning i was making my coffee at 415am before i had to be at work. this thing pops open in the middle of my coffee brewing, shoots the kcup across the kitchen floor and extremely HOT coffee grinds splatter all over my foot. I had to walk around with the pain from the burn all day, and remake my coffee. sucks!!
add doesn't spell everything out

I wanted the brewer cause I live alone and you can get a basket that you can fill with your own coffee and brew on cup at a time. Turns out that this model is a mini or desk top model and the refillable cup won't fit. I am returning it. It you want to use your own coffee don't buy this.
60 Days and Dead...Keurig Will Not Honor Warranty
June 20, 2012
The Keurig B130 worked for two months and then simply would not power on. I phoned Keurig's customer service line and was told that my brewer was a commercial brewer and never should not have been sold via Amazon. It made no difference that the brewer was still well within the 12 month warranty period. I told the Keurig customer service representative that the B130 was actually sold by Wholesale Kitchen Inc., doing business as Kitchenista via Amazon. When given the serial number of the B130, the customer service representative said it only tracked to a distributor in Las Vegas, Nevada, and that I would have to "handle any customer service problems with Wholesale Kitchen Inc." I am sending the brewer to Amazon returns and if necessary will handle the problem via my credit card company. If you are considering the purchase of this unit, B130 DeskPro, NO NOT purchase it via Amazon unless you are prepared to spend considerable time and frustration attempting to resolve any issues, should the brewer fail within its warranty period.Added 9:05 pm CDT, June 21, 2012: I just received the following message via Amazon's messaging system from the seller, Kitchenista:"Hi,We are sorry to hear about this but since it was shipped to you by Amazon.com you would have to deal with them directly.Unfortunately we can't do anything from our end.Take care,Kitchenista"......................................................................................................................And there you have my unsatisfactory experience with Keurig and Wholesale Kitchen Inc. dba Kitchenista.I will purchase another Keurig brewer, but locally, from a chain retailer who stands behind the products it sells. If I get another lemon, it'll go right back to the retailer...in person.
