Works like a champ
July 29, 2017
Read a lot of reviews and got luck with a price a reduction. Works like a champ, just like advertised. Don't have to worry about charging batteries or having a power loss due to a low battery. Not real crazy about having to drag an extension cord around, but I prefer the reliability (cost savings on purchase) or the electric vice battery powered. Also, opting for the 24" inch cutting blade over the shorter ones was a conscious decision. I have some pretty deep hedges that the extra 6" inches allows me to reach without a step ladder. Has plenty of power and does a great job. The rotating handle is nice, helps to keep cord from tangling and for reaching hard to get areas in the hedge.
Great price and great quality. I highly recommend!

This hedger is awesome!!!! So awesome that my 15 year old cut through not just one but TWO extension cords. Lord help me!!! On a serious note... I am very happy with the hedgers. Great price and great quality. I highly recommend.
Beast Mode!!!
July 11, 2017
I finally broke my little 14" Black and Decker trimmer after 15 years, so it was time for an upgrade. I gotta say, this B&D 24" trimmer is a BEAST!!! I have (had) blackberry bushes about 7' tall and this thing just chewed them up and spit them out, and my regular little hedge didn't stand a chance. It's big and gets heavy after a while but it's a great trimmer. If you have blackberry bushes or out of control hedges, this is the trimmer you want!!!
Watch that cord!
July 10, 2017
I trimmed three overgrown hedges with this. Yes it does cut through think branches rather easy. The handle being able to change positions is nice and is easy on the hands and posture. What I really excel at is cutting cords in half. With this hedge trimmer and the adjustable handle it seems easier not to do that. This replaced a 18" hedge trimmer that seemed to be twice the work.
Worked like a charm!

Got the hedge trimmer on Sat and put it to use on Sun to trim down some jasmine that was running rampant. Maybe it was the sharpness of new blades, but it seem to cut like butter, compared to a the electric Makita hedge trimmer that I borrowed from my dad. Had to get used to the length of it, but overall a great tool to have. I love the rotating handle. Can't wait to get the green light from my wife to trim away everything in the backyard!BLACK+DECKER HH2455 3.3-Amp HedgeHog Hedge Trimmer with Rotating Handle And Dual Blade Action Blades, , 24"
Super trimmer
July 26, 2015
This is a super cutter, it will cut through 1" and 2" diameter limbs. It trims shrubs with no hesitation. I am glad I can spend under $70.00 to get this trimmer instead of paying the guy that mows the lawn $100.00 for trimming the shrubs one time, I can trim them any time I need to. Money saved and only takes a little bit of work in my part. I am a 72 year old woman and have no trouble using this trimmer

Couldn't be happier with this purchase
September 26, 2017
This thing has saved me what normally takes about 30-45 minutes to manually sweep, rake, and collect leaves that fall on my patio to sucking everything up in one pass. Now takes me 5 minutes to do both balcony's! Couldn't be happier with this purchase. There are two power levels on this blower and the first level was more than enough for what I need. I would recommend ear plugs when operating.

I was a TOTAL SKEPTIC on this... I hate to say it, but I haven't trusted Black and Decker brand for years... And the price of $75.00 seem low to me for a quality blower, vacuum and mulcher combo with all the attachments.... This is probably the best $75.00 tool I've purchased in a very long time.. I've had it for about 3 months and I really am impressed every time I use it...
Get this with the Trash Can Bagging System, it a great combo!
January 21, 2016
Got this with the trash can bagging system, very nice. My old B&D switch went bad so I bought this one and the trash can bagging system and this thing is great. The only problem i had was keeping the adapter attached to the hose, but an easy fix was to drill a small hole in the adapter and put in a screw to fix the adapter to the hose, the link up from the adapter to the vacuum is rock solid. This unit with the bagging system works like a dream, my wife and I cleaned up about an acre of heavy leaves in about 4 hours of work, used multiple trash cans w/ wheels to move the cut up quickly into the woods. Before I had to handle the vacuum because the heavy attached bag was to heavy for my wife, but now she can vacuum and I can change out tote the full trash cans away. This system is sooooo superior to our old attached bag system. If you get this and have a lot of leaves to collect, get the trash can bagging system, you will like it :)

January 17, 2016
While it isn't as powerful as I'd like, it is only an electric motor so I can deal with it. It is surprisingly loud for being electric. The unit comes with a little "oscillating" tip that I thought was a super gimmick at first. It turns out it makes the job of blowing leaves around MUCH easier. Turning it into a leaf vac is pretty easy. The rotor inside seems to have no problems turning the leaves into mulch, even if the leaves are wet. You hear some pretty terrifying banging and rattling once in a while, but the rotor keeps on chewing. Like I said, the unit isn't super powerful it won't replace your gas powered leaf blower, but I'd give it 5 stars for being both a leaf vac and a leaf blower. Black & Decker is starting to make some pretty decent tools as of late. I have a bunch of their 20v battery powered tools that I bought for my first house. I haven't had any problems with any of the tools and I think they'll give me some good use.

January 1, 2016
I was skeptical about anything electric BUT my gas blower was in the shop every 2 weeks and well had enough of mixing gas / oil and the smell etc etc. This blower blows strong enough for my use of a blower. IT is not a super power industrial blower but it works well with a 100 foot 12 gauge cord (Do not use a 16 gauge it will not be strong enough) as far as the leaf suckage system it's pretty amazing. It will get clogged if the leaves are more than damp. The bag fills too fast wish they had a larger bag but you can use it without the bag and it does mulch the leaves into tiny peaces great for making compost!!!! it sucks leaves up fast and furiously. I found it's best used in Island beds - corners and in between hard to reach areas. I still have to use a rake and bag system but this is excellent for the above mentioned - glad I bought it and well I'm digging the electric system for home use. Will probably last a very long time. Just wish the bag was a bit larger. Aside very happy with purchase.
Yay, no more raking leaves!
October 19, 2015
My husband loves this! Basically, pulled it out of the box and started using it. We have a couple big maple like trees that lose their leaves like crazy in the fall. It easily sucks them up and mulches them and drops the mulch in a bag. The bag seems to hold quite a bit so you don't have to stop too often to dump. It is light enough to be able to pick up and do a quick pick up without much exertion. I think he actually has some fun with this thing. Plus, no raking is pretty sweet.

Great size and weight!
October 9, 2017
Perfect size and weight for what we needed. We can't seem to have enough of these around this home of ours. I will buy nothing shorter than a 100 ft anymore. It's amazing how they are never long enough to get the job done with the shorter ones.
Good to go for 12A outdoor usuage.

As an Electrical Engineer let clear up some misconcptions.1.  All ratings are very conservative, as they were tested based on the worse conditions anyone would expect to occur and then some.2.  Current (Amps) limitations are to prevent fire, due to heat build up.  Dissapating heat is a major concern, hence all the vents you see and fans you hear in your PCs and other devices. With that said a cable laying on the ground, outside, and not coiled up, is going to disapate heat much more easily than a cable coiled up or inside a wall, the later being a worst case scenario and one basis for the ampere ratings.  More amps more heat. Note that the ratings are based on 30°C (86°F), thankfully fall is much cooler. From NEC Table 400.5(A)(1) Allowable Ampacity for Flexible Cords and Cables [Based on Ambient Temperature of 30 °C (86 °F).Lists 16 gauge wire for; Condition A* = 10A (listed rating of this cord)Condition B* = 13A*Condition A:   The allowable currents apply to 3-conductor cords and other multiconductor cords connected to utilization equipment so that only 3 conductors are current-carrying.*Condition B:   The allowable currents apply to 2-conductor cords and other multiconductor cords connected to utilization equipment so that only 2 conductors are current-carrying.The 3rd conductor is ground and does not carry current under normal conditions, thus this cable would more accurately fall under Class B (13A). This would certify 12A use. There is another factor, the voltage drop in the cable.  This voltage is not available to the load (e.g, leaf blower) and, if too great, would affect it's operation.  The voltage drop in the wire can be predicted using Ohm's Law (Volts= current x resistance). So now we need the resistance of the cable. The AWG (American Wire Gauge) lists 16 gauge wire having a resistance of 4.016 ohms per 1000ft.  That converts to 0.4016 ohms for our 100ft cable.  Aplying Ohm's Law the voltage drop in  the cable will be - 0.4016 ohms × 12 Amps = 4.82 volts.  This leaves 120v - 4.82v or 115.18v for the load.  More than enough for normal operation.  Yes, this is sized correctly and will work for 12A use without issue. Good to go!One final note on extension cords in general, especially if using a cord reel;Regardless of current demand (12A, 10A, 8A, etc.), to prevent heat build-up that could very possibly melt the insulation and create a fire hazzard;=============》 !!! UNWIND ENTIRE CABLE BEFORE USE!!! 《=============..

Glad to have it

Does a great job cutting small limbs from bushes and trees. But once you hit that magical size, it doesn't cut at all. Love the long bar. The rotating feature is so-so. It's often easier just to turn your hands for a quick cut. I might value the capability more if I had a really long hedge row or something.
Fair price, convenient to use, blades could be sharper
August 19, 2017
Item does the job.-Feels a little bit like a cheap plastic machine, but it held together well while I trimmed my junipers & weed trees.-Cut through a 3/8" branch easily enough with only a small amount of bogging down.-Rotating handle was useful for achieving an accurate vertical pass along the faces of the shrubs.-Weight of the unit feels balanced enough to swing around for a couple of hours without straining my shoulders or wrists.-Blades do not seem the sharpest. I'm comparing this to my extensive experience with Stihl brand hedge trimmers.

Only used once this season to cout down giant ornamental grasses in the fall. Worked great, I'll give them a real work out in the spring when other bushes get a little out of control and I'll repost. So far really like the length and pivoting adjustability for going at different angles
Lightweight, powerful, and easy to use
July 7, 2013
I never trimmed my hedges, and after several years they were really out of control. I wasn't sure which model to buy, and I had never actually used a hedge trimmer. I ultimately chose this model because it looked like it was heavy-duty, and because it has a longer blade than some of the less expensive models. Perhaps I could have gotten away with one of those, but this one certainly did the job. Having an extra-long blade made it possible to trim wide, flat hedges easily and evenly, with one or two passes. I had more difficulty with cylindrical-shaped bushes, where a shorter blade might have helped me cut an oval shape with greater precision. Overall, this model is lightweight and easy to figure out. I did still need a saw to cut through a sapling trunk that was about 2.5 inches thick and quite hard. The hedge trimmer took care of the smaller branches with relative ease. Also, the electric feature is more sustainable and eco-friendly than battery operated models. I would definitely buy it again.By the way, if you are inexperienced with electric hedge trimmers, be sure not to cut the electrical cord as you go! (I hear that is a common accident.)
Great tool!
October 27, 2011
After years of using hedging shears to trim shrubs I finally decided to buy a hedge trimmer. What forced the decision was that our shrubs had kind of gotten out of control and really needed to be cut back and I was not happy with the results I was getting with the shears.... So, after reading reviews I chose the HH2455 24 inch trimmer. Results: Should have purchased this tool 20 years ago! It reduced the time it took to trim the hedge by at least a factor of 4 (seriously). What took 60-90 minutes with hand shears, took about 15-20 minutes. The results were terrific. This tool is extremely smooth and cuts very well. The rotating handle is very ergonomic and easy to adjust on the fly. I really like the 24 inch cutting length as it makes it very easy to reach the back side of large shrubs. Very pleased with the tool. After using I just sprayed the cutter with a solvent to remove the pitch. I have also used this trimmer for doing fall clean up on the perennial gardens. One swipe and all of the dead stalks were cut off at ground level. What a great time saver. The only con that caused me to deduct 1 star is that the trimmer was shipped in its retail display box. When it arrived the box was completely mangled. Fortunately the trimmer itself was not damaged, this item should have been overpacked to protect it.

I have been using this for my residential landscaping business for a yera now. The blower works great and the swivel attachment is awesome.removing the large mulcher tube from the small mulcher tube is improbably difficult but you don't have much of a reason to do it, other than storage and clearing a clog....The vac doesn't work that great unless the stuff is VERY dry and lightweight... My model had a metal impeller; I don't now about current ones, as I have heard plastic in this model is not unheard of...
A trigger switch would be useful as the round on / off / speed knob ...
March 27, 2017
I bought this B&D blower / mulcher primarily for it's vacuuming and mulching functions. I've used it a couple of times and find that it does the job so long as you avoid twigs and branches which can clog the mechanism. A trigger switch would be useful as the round on / off / speed knob is not handy if the it does get clogged. In fact the impeller got clogged and I did not get the machine turned off in time to avoid blowing the internal fuse. An easy enough fix if you are handy but a hassle non-the-less. Also, I found the balance, or lack of it a bit clumsy when in use.Otherwise, it did a very nice job of reducing great piles of leaves into nice bits ready for composting. Do be careful though when going over garden beds or lawns not to pick-up anything that will jamb it.
BV 5600 blower vac
March 19, 2016
I haven't used this yet but noticed a couple of things. The bag that is included is pretty small so I would suggest adding the optional attachment for using a trash can, BV-006. I think the black handle that is part of the vacuum attachment is going to be a weak area. We have a B&D blower vac that is about 20 years old and we have loved it for cleaning flower beds and areas around the yard. Always use a 12 ga extension cord as these draw a lot of current and low voltage will kill the motor.Update: We used this for cleaning flower beds this spring. After a little use I noticed the suction seemed reduced and it seemed to be losing power. Upon inspection I found that the blower housing was packed with dirt and debris and was dragging on the blower fan. The leaves were somewhat wet from laying over the winter but I don't remember this issue with our older one. This one doesn't seem to have as much air moving through it which may cause the buildup.
Review for leaf Vacuuming
November 20, 2015
I paired this BV5600 with the BV-006 Leaf collection system, which allows you to connect the vacuum to a hose which can be attached to the top of a garbage can.Pros:Powerful sucking and blowingBuilt very well with strong plastic componentsMulching blade is thick, mulches branches tooUsed half the amount bags, mulches wellLight enough to hold or use a good shoulder strap, handles are well placedSaved my back, no bending or rakingEasy to use, and troubleshootSimple to go from vac to blowerIf there is a clog, easy to snap apart and back togetherSaved me timeCons:Occasionally leaves get stuck in suction tubeI typically have 12 bags of leaves but with this I only had 6 bags. I have a herniated disc so tradition technique of bagging leaves is painful and stressful for me. With this until I did not have to bend over or kneel down. It took me 2 hours to vac/bag, would usually take me 4+ hours. Like any tool there is a learning curve and technique. I found that I would suck some leaves and do a circle motion to help them get started down the tube. It's not a constant flow for leaves, they come through in clumps. Mulches wet leaves pretty good too!! I was skeptical but had high hopes and I am very pleased. Will update review after more uses.
Great for the money
March 27, 2015
Ok, so I don't know how many of you expect this thing to last for years, but let's get real....things just don't last like they used to. Anyway, for the price, this is a great tool for your yardwork. Very good suction and blowing power....and this has a metal blade as opposed to plastic, like some other brands. I would even say that this would be worth buying one every year because it works so well, if it turns out to be an annual disposable product.
Black & Decker BV5600 Blower/Vac/Mulcher
May 12, 2014
I just bought a house that has 15 months of leaves that need attention so I was understandably excited when this arrived. What a disappointment. This thing is bulky and hard to handle (least for me it is/was) The description said that it would mulch 16 bags of leaves into 1 bag (yea!! right?) Uhm, wrong! I get no mulching action and it doesnt take long for this little bag to fill out with old wet tired leaves. The vac is VERY powerful. It would probably work better if I just drag a trash can around and suck up the leaves straight in to it. I've not tried the blower yet but I'm sure it'll work because it does pack some power. I'll try the mulching option again and hopefully I'll have better results but it's always going to be bulky and hard for me to handle.

It is as advertised a long grounded power cord. It is working well and shows no signs of issues.

June 19, 2017
What can you say about a extension cord. Works fine.
Decent price, long length, fairly safe, but kinks more. Not from Coleman Camping Outfitters as implied.
June 4, 2017
Fluctuating price & coupon was right. Soft Cord kinks easily. These ripples, when wound, catch making it hard to unravel smoothly. Looks wavey. Knots up more than expensive hard cords. Was at my front door a day and a half after ordering at no expense to me. Fine extension for the price.
Light duty only!
July 20, 2016
I'm using this to power a auto air inflation pump. The pump draws 1.5 amps. This is a light duty extension cord meant to handle 13 amps maximum. Even taking into account start up surge, I should be safe. This extension cord is light duty only. A current load anywhere close to the 13 amp maximum should be upgraded to an extension cord made with 14 or even 12 gauge wire.A light duty extension cord should be able to handle work lights, portable fans and hedge trimmers.Shop vacs, lawn mowers, table saws, power drills and chain saws cannot be used safely with this extension cord.
Long Outdoor Cord Is Perfect For Electric Snowblower
March 1, 2016
Bought this as an accessory for an electric snowblower. I had other cords but it seemed wise to get a single long waterproof cord; joining two shorter cords outside in the snow and wet seemed needlessly risky.Glad i did it. Have used it only once but it worked perfectly and with no worries. Not all that cheap, but it seems worth it to feel safe !

Good value super loud
September 25, 2017
Pros- powerful as leaf blowerGood value , prettty light, decent attachmentsCons- not thrilled with mulch feature , I found it pretty annoying to put together, as leaf mulcher it is fine, picking up clumps of dirt won't work and it's not designed for that, VERY LOUDvery l have small yard and really wanted the blower part and mulcher feature was a nice to have and after one use willnot use often. It does blow strong, gets dirt and debri off both my artificial grass and concrete. Would love it if the multcher acted more as vacuum to pick up small dirt clumps and it didn't sound like a freight train ( more as multcher vs blower) but for the price I think those with smaller yards will really like this. Lastly, I am somewhat handy and for some reason found directions confusing
Somethings not quite right
August 14, 2016
There seems to be an issue with the power cord as the motor cuts out then comes back on and continues like that. If I hold the cord against the unit it helps reduce the cut out but it still does it. If it worked properly I'd love it.Update- wouldn't work at all, only used 1 time before it crapped out and it's not my outlet
mulches great - but SUPER dusty in the face
August 12, 2016
B & D vac/blower is terrible for recirculating dust into your face. There is no re-director for the air vent, so when in vac mode it just blows a bunch of dust in your face. Definitely not a job for someone without a mask on. I didn't realize how big/heavy the body would be. It is OK if you are using it with the bag because the bag straps the whole thing to your body (if you are strong enough to use it like that you are fine) but if you want to use it with the trash can contraption you need to add a strap onto the thing so your arms don't get tired from using it. The mulch blades are actually very good, it will take on small twigs and pieces of bark (those get sucked in doing my grass because I have messy trees) and it makes the leaves into practically dust. Also the nozzle is the proper size for vacuuming up large leaves. Those are the things I liked and disliked about it.
No "wow" factor
July 7, 2016
It won't suck up an aged and light piece of bark about 1" long and .5" wide but should work for leaves. I have an Apache plume plant in the front yard that when the plumes dry up and fall off would be the main reason for getting this, along with a couple other fuzz producing plants. The blower bit works for my purposes on the low speed so the high speed should be fun. This was an adequate purchase but it just doesn't "wow" me. I won't return it as 'twould be more trouble than it's worth.
Good for the money, but best and more costly would probably be a commercial grade machine.
May 8, 2016
The manufacturer has a good reputation for about average yard machines and the price reflects it. Most reviews are slightly higher than average which led me to purchase this model. It is easy to put together and comes with a few accessories that work good. After many dry runs or connecting and disconnecting the releases, the latch release mechanisms could be better engineered, as it takes multiple times to detach, especially the bag. Some debris from yard waste may clog release at times.? I use a foxtail broom to wipe off the outside after each use. When first starting up after previous usage, the bag emits quite a lot of fine dust/dirt that is annoying. It would be nice if the manufacturer had a different style bag that captures fine particles. I find I need googles and a dust mask while using. As mentioned by others, the machine is very load, so hearing protection is also advisable.
Definitely won't do the work for you- but does mulch
April 16, 2016
I got this mainly for the vac mulcher feature. It does work, IF you do a few things: dump the bag when it is about 25% full or it will stop sucking in leaves, do not try to suck up many wet leaves, rake into piles first, suck up a little and wait for it it mulch- it will clog up if you continuously vacuum leaves without letting it take a 5-8 second break every 30 seconds or so.Having said that, if you have a very small yard- you may not have to rake at all, maybe just to get leaves away from up against your house to make vacuuming easier. It's definitely not going to do the work for you if you have a yard bigger than .15 acres or so. The strap on the bag is AWFUL. It cuts into your shoulder like a knife, I wrapped mine in a pool noodle and strapped it together with gorilla tape as a solution. As a blower- it's meh, okay I guess. Pretty weak, honestly. As a way to reduce the amount of bags you have to haul to the curb- it's a decent tool.

July 20, 2014
It's a cheap cable (paid $9.99 for the 50' model) and it's light. It's not a bad cable, but you get what you pay for. I have a nice 12 gauge US Wire extension cord that is well made, but heavy. This little guy doesn't seem the most durable, but it hasn't fallen apart either. It does have the benefit of being light (which is natural for a thinner gauge cable). This is good for when you are only going to use a low powered piece of equipment as it's nice to not have to lug around the heavy extension cord. If you are looking to run big tools like table saws, etc. I'd opt for a thicker cable. If you are just looking to run a leaf blower now and then or other lower power jobs then this cable will fit the bill.

It shorted out after using it for six months! The end where you plug it into the appliance caught on fire with a little stream of fire coming from that end. Was lucky enough to detach it from the working appliance that it was being used on. Rubbed off the excess char from the working appliance for it still runs yet the extension cord was charred and one side was flattened.Seeing now if there is still a one year limited warranty on the extension cord itself to replace it. Otherwise will have to pay out of pocket to replace after only six months of using the extension cord. Sure was something to have the appliance stop suddenly then to kick back on to notice the little stream of fire coming from the plug in piece on one side of the cord. At least not a total lose since the working appliance as stated earlier is still workable just had to rub off excessive little char on it.

not a clean cut.
Weak motor, I returned it......
June 23, 2016
It would not even cut a 1/4" branch on a shrub and it left the leaves looking as if they all were ripped instead of being cut. I had to hold it in one position for a moment until it was done cutting before proceeding on. very tiring for my shoulders and arms on taller shrubs from a ladder. Now i need to find another one.
Buy ear plugs and covered headphone to operate...
April 25, 2016
Works very well ( used Once), But Noisy.... in 2 minutes my ears started paining.. comes with high frequency and really hurts your ear drums.. So try end up using the ear plugs... somewhat better with ear plug and fully covered headphone. I thought, it was me, so asked my neighbor to try it out without telling him any, he felt and told me the same, so my wife...All same.. So you are warning to buy both ear plug and full ear headphone.. its not, big louder, but frequency of the sound comes out from this.. hurts...Try staying away about 20 feet while this running.. it was little better...
Poor design and reliability
July 19, 2015
I purchased this Black and Decker hedge trimmer several years ago. From the beginning the top handle continually loosened with use. This required regular tightening of the screws holding the handle. In spite of the fact that I don't cut hedges with thick branches the motor has burned out and barely runs (I get a burning smell every time I use it). I've been a regular Black and Decker customer but won't be buying another one of their hedge trimmers.
Too heavy -
December 31, 2013
This particular trimmer is exceptionally heavy while lacking a good cutting power. My hand held pruners work better for me in cutting a shoot which foils this trimmer. Very frustrating. It now sits alone in my garage.
Black @ decker hedgehog started to smoke and stop cutting in less than 6 months of normal use after purchase
October 2, 2013
The 1st hedgehog started to smoke and lost cutting power after using it thru the summer and fall months after purchasing. I ordered another because of the length of the cut. They say it is under warranty but must be taked to a black @ decker service center and there is no center here.

This mulcher was working great..
September 27, 2017
This mulcher was working great....for the first 20 mimutes. It did have what I thought was a small vibration, but this was the first time I used a mulcher. It simply stopped working without any warning. With all the great reviews, I think I may have received a bad unit. I returned it to Amazon and will be ordering a BV6600 which has a larger bag and the variable switch.
Flimsy Plastic Tube Attachment
September 25, 2017
I have a cordless blower, so I can't speak to that function. I've used it exclusively to vacuum and shred leaves. As others have mentioned, it does tend to clog when the leaves are damp, so I just use it when things are dry. The shoulder strap isn't very comfortable either. It worked fine for 4-5 months.I recently noticed that the plastic tube started to have some play in it. When using it this weekend, the tube through which leaves are vacuumed completely fell off during use, leaving the spinning aluminum shredder completely exposed. No injuries, but rather unnerving. Since I don't intend to use it as a blower, I duct taped the vacuum tube attachment to the unit. Not very attractive, but it shouldn't fall off anymore. For the price, I guess it's not a bad deal. I'd like it much better if the engineers at B&D had designed a more secure way to affix the plastic vacuum tube than a couple of click-together plastic pieces.
Awkward to use
April 12, 2017
Works great after you figure out how to attach the back for sucking leaves. Very heavy and kind of awkward but does the job.
It needs a chord
June 28, 2016
It needs a chord! I bought a gas powered one that works great.
The machine also smokes when using which makes it look scary and like it's not working
January 24, 2016
The power cord is but an inch long. When you plug it into an extension cord it continuously falls out because the plus is loose. I over heated the plug because it was running for too long and fused the power cord and plug together. The machine also smokes when using which makes it look scary and like it's not working.
Poor performance, tiny collection bag
November 14, 2015
The bag they supply to collect the mulched leaves in is so small it fills up every 5 minutes. So every 5 minutes you turn it off, dump it out, and put it back. I have not found a bigger bag option, although you'd think they would have one. It's also MUCH to weak to blow oak leaves that are even a little wet. Don't get this. Spend the cream money to get a real one

Wouldn't buy this brand again
August 23, 2017
This is listed as an outdoor cord, but when it gets cold it gets really, really stiff. And when it gets hot, I sometimes can't get things to power up. Not much of an outdoors quality. And the brand WAS NOT Coleman!
Double check what you're buying it for.
July 15, 2017
Bought this on suggestion for leaf blower, but it's not heavy duty enough for it. To return it, half my refund would pay for shipping, so guess I'll keep it and see if something else comes along that can use it. :-(
Spend more on a better cord
December 20, 2016
Cord is stiff and coated with some cheap plastic. Very difficult to recoil or work the kinks out. Recommend spending a few more dollars on a higher quality cord.Mine also arrived with a gash in the plastic coating.
Nice length wire
April 23, 2016
Pro: Nice length wire.Cons: With 2 uses outdoors it has developed cracks near the end and at other places of strain. I don't think this is an outdoor wire for Lawn accessories as intended, but may be fine for stationary equipment. The product is not worth the cost.
Should have had three pin connectors.
January 29, 2015
Sold as a packaged recommendation with the GreenWorks 26032 12 Amp Corded Snow Thrower. Well, the Snow thrower is a three pin and this cable is 2 pin so you cana. use it with the risk of electrocuting yourselfb. return it.
Corde became very twisted..
January 3, 2014
This extention cord is perhaps a bit too long, once it is twisted, it doesn't want to uncoil. I thought about hanging long sections of it off my 2nd story window but there doesn't seem to be enough kinetic energy in it to uncoil.. By uncoil I don't mean untangle.. Rather the twisting forces on the cord do not 'unwind'.

Using this trimmer has been an excellent experience. Blade is so effective
July 2, 2016
Using this trimmer has been an excellent experience. Blade is so effective. Has been easy to operate. Then the handle fell off. Only used this five times for about an hour at a time. The 'buyer' has to attach the handle. Handle attachment design is flawed. Two very small screws are provided to attach the handle. So unfortunate because otherwise, this is a good trimmer. To make it work for me, I will need a drill to create screw holes and find as

June 3, 2016
was DOA .. brand new out of the box. I attached the handle as described and was ready to cut.... nothing happened and I thought it was my error. I checked how I had it connected, checked my fuse box, checked hooking to several outlets outside and in... NADA. I HAVE A DUD !Now, let's see how easy it is to return this ;)

May 10, 2016
Received Hedge Trimmers in the time promised. Although this was my 1st time with an Electric Hedge Trimmer compared to Gas, I felt the trimmer was powerful enough to cut shrubs and bushes. However after about 20 minutes of use it just stopped working.I then switched outlets and confirmed it was not the plug nor the cord.Sent it back! May go back to using a gas powered trimmer.

Worked for only one hour
September 22, 2017
I used the vac setting for about an hour after receiving item and it quit working all together. The only things I sucked up were grass trimmings. I'm gonna try to send it back but I am 1 day past the return window.

Wrong Item.. wanted gas.. somehow clicked for this one.
Nasty shoulder strap
September 21, 2017
Don't use the suction feature on leaves sitting on pea gravel. It picks the gravel up. The shoulder strap bites into your shoulder and is very uncomfortable. It does chew up leaves into good mulch starter.
Stopped working after first bag full
March 21, 2017
Used this as a vacuum once and then emptied the bag and now the blower/vacuum won't turn back on. It lasted 1 fill and stopped working
Fan Impeller exploded
October 24, 2015
Within 30 minutes of use as a blower the aluminum fan/impeller exploded and split open the fan case with one piece exiting the blower. Inertia of fan as it came to a sudden stop caused blower to be snatched from my hand and it hit my thigh causing bruising. Scared to get a replacement because the impeller is made of cast aluminum and quite heavy. Caused a lot of damage to the blower caseing.
not enough power.
May 19, 2015
sorry to say this item seems defective, does not produce enough air flow. I feel more air being pushed out the bottom than out the front of device.

lasted about 5months, then burned through the side of the wire. Not the best quality.
Fire Hazard wire
June 10, 2017
What a waste !! Never ever buy it. Dont waste your money. It is a fire hazard. I was using to charge a battery and after couple of hours, I notice a smell. The wire was incredibly hot at certain portions of wire and was almost melted.
Test it when you get it
May 30, 2016
If you order this extension cable, I suggest you check it when you receive it. It never crossed my mind that it might be faulty. I just had a need for it and it doesn't work. I plugged an item into the socket and that works, but the extension cable does not. It's too late for me to return.
Sheathing tears easily
July 26, 2015
I got this for our electric lawn mower and snow blower 5 months ago. We have been hiring a snow removal service towards the end of the winter (got too fed up with the northeast winter), and our lawn is tiny and we have not been mowing it very diligently, so this cord has not been used much, maybe 10 times or less. However, when I take it out today, I found that the sheathing is already torn! The cord has been on a cord storage roller the whole time, and we are careful not to let it twist, unplugging and unwinding as it needed.I am just very disappointed by the quality of this. We had another outdoor cord that lasted many years, until someone accidentally short circuited it and melted the plug. Never have I seen the sheathing torn so easily - look for another brand unless you want to buy another one soon.

the outer sheathing is very brittle. first use i had it outside in the cold, and after being stepped on a handful of times, the outher orange sheathing has cracked off. kind of defeats the purpose of the thing.
More smoking problems
October 19, 2014
I had the same issue after two years as been mentioned here - smoking from the end that you plug your appliance into. Happened first with my leaf blower then with my lawnmower.Buy the U.S. Wire product. Might cost a little more but it won't be a danger
