Happy with this purchase January 21, 2016 Happy with this purchase! Wanted string lights for my bedroom, and this was the perfect length. Just a warning that it is brighter than is pictured. The lighting in the product picture looks warmer and more muted, whereas the actual color is MUCH brighter and more white (as you can see in the picture the lights above my bed; this photo is accurate to the color). It's bright enough where I can actually read under it! I personally don't mind it, simply because I love the overall look, but if someone's looking for the warmer light, this may not be the right color for you.. I gave 4 stars because the overall product is great, but the product picture could be more accurate to the true color. Also the packaging needs some sort of seal. Mine arrived open inside the box with the contents spilled out. Battery case got too hot, tangles easily December 10, 2015 These did not work for me as the battery got warm after two hours. I felt it wasn't safe and threw them away. Maybe my set was defective, not sure.Amended: Good customer service as they sent me a new one after I posted a negative review. I should amend it: this plugs into the wall, it's not battery operated. The plug-in battery does get warm, but as my husband pointed out, any battery does with time. So I guess it's good. I did buy a different one for the son's basement room with a plastic battery case just for safely. Works as expected, good color. May 9, 2015 Works as expected. More white than yellow light wise. Bought a timer for it and stuffed it in a lantern. Looks good enough for me! |

Three Star Reviews: | 4% Three Stars February 13, 2017 They would not work where I wanted to use them. Otherwise, they were ok. Not for long term use December 10, 2015 Nice lights at first. Use them for all night lighting for our patio cover. But, now I have 2 lines where half the line blew out. All of the bulbs blew, and there is no way I'm going to try to replace half a line. Leaving them up until they burn out. Wished they would have lasted longer. Not happy November 26, 2015 Made the mistake to order this lights to go with my green artificial Christmas tree; bad idea. The white on the cable is so white that it makes my tree Look so tacky , so I will be replacing it with other lights that have a green or transparent cable . For the price that I pay I could have had a 300 qt lights in homedepot Need to be tested before sending out September 5, 2015 I bought 2 boxes and connected the ends. The first one I opened was bright, but the second one was so yellow it was darker than the old one I had for over 2 years. This bothers me a lot because I wanted the connection to be very subtle. Kinda disappointed about the product consistency but other than that it's great. meh July 17, 2015 A third of a string went out almost immediately. Was able to fix them with a Light Keeper Pro tool. When they are working, they look nice. I have regular small Christmas light 20 t0 30 cool lights that have been on for over 3 years for decoration with a green vine. I do not understand why they say do not leave on? if it was not for that I would give them 5 stars. They arent LED blue, but they aren't incandescent yellow either. I have added 2 stars because of their excellent service and will add more if this second set of lights lasts longer than the previous one.***This product stopped working 3 1/2 months after purchase.Initially these lights worked well and were beautiful but I went to plug them in recently and they had stopped working completely. I barely got to enjoy 'em! Defective product January 23, 2016 Bought three sets of the LED Starry String Lights October 15th, 2015. Two sets are still going strong and I love the easy handling, set up and the warm light they give off. I put them on my very large wrap around deck to replace the LED tube lighting. Perfect for anytime of year. Unfortunately, one set only lasted a couple of months and went out. Taotronics says in their packaging brochure there is a one year guarantee but unfortunately, I tried to return and there are no returns on this item as of November 14th 2015. So, check with Amazon prior to purchase. Not as warm color as I had hoped. November 6, 2015 Shipped fast, nicely packaged in a protective reusable tube. The lights themselves are not nearly as warm as I would have wanted. Not blue white for sure, maybe I hope for too much from LEDs. The wire is nice because it isn't ugly so you don't have to hide it. Expensive, so I hope they last as long as promised. I like that they don't get hot for sure. Overall they are good if you don't mind the lack or warmness in color. First time I purchased them- I got them from a different seller (from China I believe). They of course took much longer to arrive and did NOT have the nice reusable tube and were squashed up. They still worked and were less expensive, but I would pay attention in the future as to where they are shipping from. |

Two Star Reviews: | 6% Half the strand burnt out after 5 months. January 22, 2017 We use these to add some nice light to the living room. Previous lights that were replaced last nearly 2 years. These lasted about 5 months. Lights burn out in segments October 26, 2016 These lights were disappointing. The information from other customers stated if one bulb goes out, the rest still work.....I've had this set since November 2015 - less than a year. The lights have gone out in segments, not just a bulb at a time. The 3rd of 4 segments just went out a little while ago and that's why I'm giving a rating of 2 stars........... I am using them indoors, for about 6 hours per night........I'll try to find an alternative...Any recommendations? Thanks. The first string I received never worked properly--about 1/3 never ... May 30, 2016 The first string I received never worked properly--about 1/3 never lit up. I complained and they quickly sent a replacement string that did work. Now, about 2.5 years later, half that string is dead. I also tried using the replacement bulbs for a burned-out one in the half of the string that still worked, and none of the replacements actually fit, and one shattered as I tried to retrieve it. Typical cheap Chinese junk. Hopefully just a dud? If not...big problem August 6, 2015 The lights are beautiful when they are working. I love having fairy lights throughout the house but actually purchased these for my wedding. When my old set went out (a $5 set from rite aid that lasted over a year) I decided to use one of the boxes of these that I got to replace them and simultaneously test them out. The end product was very disappointing. Over half of the lights are out within a month of being lit. Good for seasonal use...not good for anything else. Wouldn 't stay lit... poor quality for such a pricey string of mini lights January 27, 2015 Poor quality lights. The full string wouldn't stay light....contact issue in one of the bulbs had to play around with them for a long time to get them lit and on. Any movement would cut half the lights off....gave up and tossec them into the bulb replacement pile for our other mini light strings. It seems this product is a test of luck. April 15, 2014 I bought two of these strands of lights. One of them has done okay-ish and only had 4 bulbs burn out since I bought them (4 months ago). The other has had about 20 lights go out. Overall I would say the product is of poor quality. But then again, I use them almost every day as a nice form of ambient indoor lighting, so I'm not sure if this would be considered normal for this style of use. Not so "Warm" May 16, 2016 listed as warm white and while 3000 kelvin may fall into that technically, it is not the "warm " most people and lighting designers of 2700k Or like the picture or description so it is not a soft warm glow, it may actually be closer to 3500k, very bright white , great for lighting areas that need that like a parking lot, but nor a cozy nook in your den,additionally the power supply cannot be dimmed, my bad on not verifying that before I ordered 4 sets. Dimming may soften I cant seem to find a 4.5 volt dimmable power supply. Too much hassle to return will keep them for lighting my next landing strip airport project.. Nice at first but do not move them once in place. Overly delicate March 21, 2016 these were great until I moved them from one location to another. One of the wires broke from the solder before it goes into the black wire for the plug itself and there is no way to fix it. Tried re-soldering and it did not work. Seems they should be able to be fixed but they do not work anymore. This is my 2nd set of these lights and the first set had the same issue. really wanted to give it five stars but.... November 12, 2015 I really wanted to give this product a five star rating since they are so beautiful and easy, but unfortunately I have experienced some technical issues with one of the lights that I purchased. They have the be "plugged in a certain way" in order for them to work, otherwise they either don't turn on or flicker like crazy (which scares the living daylights out of my dog - not to mention that it is frustrating). But when these are actually on and working, these lights are seriously beautiful.Update: One of the sets of lights I had purchased completely stopped working after a few months - had to go in the trash. Very disappointing Beautiful but short-lived September 3, 2014 Excited to use these, took them out of the box when they first arrived to test them out and the worked beautifully! However a week or two later when I was putting them up in my dorm room they no longer worked. It's such a shame because when I tested them they were perfect. |

One Star Reviews: | 16% Disappointed August 13, 2017 Burnt out in less than 4 months. The strands I had before has lasted 2 years and had minimal burned out. These whole sections went out fast. One Star November 29, 2016 I bought 2 boxes just a few weeks ago. Put them up last weekend. One stopped working already. stopped working after a short time October 18, 2016 broke within a couple months. i tried to replace the bulbs, but nothing seemed to work. wait until the holidays and buy the less expensive version at lowes or walmart. this quality isn't any better. test imediatly March 22, 2016 not working...didn't realize it at first due to getting area prepped for this item but when I opened the package they were defective. half the string dead December 20, 2014 half the string did not work. had to fiddle with each bulb individually to figure out which socket was messed up. replacing the bulb didn't fix it. it only comes on occasionally | 5% Good for one use only :( April 28, 2017 Lighted up once for an event. I really liked the brightness and the length of the light so I purchased another set. Two months later, I brought out both lights for an event. I tried to plug both lights in and the original one I purchased started flashing on and off and then it eventually faded out and died within an hour. I slightly moved one of the letters and the lights flicked off and won't come back on. I don't know if it's because it is copper on metal so the product won't work or if it's defunct product. Super bummed because I'm going to have to cut the lights off the letters and not sure I can replace now that they are attached to the wall. Cheaply, unsafely made August 18, 2016 This was a horrible purchase. It's a flimsy piece of copper wire with little TINY LED bulbs hot-glued to it. It isn't made well and actually wouldn't light up when I plugged it in. You can't hang anything on it, have it touching anything or near heat. It's honestly a safety issue for me. Please don't waste your money on this crap. extremely disappointed, it broke after 2 times of use. February 1, 2016 im extremely disappointed. I have purchased this long time ago, and just recently had time to put them on. It was so nice and lightening my room so much. Compare to the price if you get it from like a urban outfitters, this one is a great deal. However, it just broke after 2 times of use. Now its just a piece of trash lay in my room.
