They sent me another one works great doesn't get hot holds the power consistently very pleased! Buy with confendnce..... I think the first one got wet due to poor handling. It fit in the weather proof box that had installed in order to support an outdoor security camera. Easy to use and to select the correct end. Made of durable material.

I had lost the adapter for my subwoofer. This adapter works just fine and proved far cheaper than buying a new one. I am sure that it will adapt for other devices, as well

I bought this adapter to use with a Sony 12-band radio which was consuming batteries very quickly. Initially I thought it would only work with that particular radio model but after arrival I realized that it could be used with a lot of other devices/toys that have AC/DC plug-ins. It allows to change the output voltage from 3-9 Volts and has different input inserts which worked with almost all devices I have at my home. I bought some toys for my kids from China and it worked with them as well. The price is very reasonable and the build is solid. I used it overseas with 220 volts and it worked well. It also has a USB inlet for charging cell phones or cameras. I am very pleased with the product and would highly recommend it. I purchased the SoulBay® Universal AC/DC Adapter Switching Power Supply with Six Adaptor Plugs to replace my power adapter for charging hearing aid batteries. After reviewing several on Amazon I selected this one. The reason I selected this one is because I liked the design where you needed a key to change the output voltage. When It arrived I tested it with a volt meter. The unloaded voltages were within specification.Unfortunately, I did not check the list of adapters to see if the correct one for my application was there. It did not have the correct female adapter, instead a male adapter was in its place. I had universal adapters from a previous transformer type universal adapter. It had the correct adapter for my battery charger and it fit this adapter. Its been two weeks and the adapter is operating flawlessly. My batteries charge quickly.I contacted the company to see if they had an adapter I could use, but they did not. Instead they gave a refund. This review details my experience.

Actually downgraded the inverter in my car to this one from their larger model. I found myself only needing the high output USB ports most of the time and only ever needed one outlet. This saved a bunch of space and fits nicely in my console. The fan is still noticeable but much quieter in this version

Bought this to use with a DC battery vehicle jump-starter. I intended to store the jump-starter in our small truck, but there wasn't enough room for it, so I store it inside the house now in a breathable nylon carry case for emergencies since our battery has a built-in flash-light & a DC socket. Now, with this handy Inverter, I can plug it into the DC socket of the jump-starter battery & then plug low-powered AC items into it if the power goes out; such as cell-phones or portable DVD player or my child's portable cassette-player/radio or a tablet. I made sure to get the 150 Watt Inverter because our battery requires nothing over that amount, so be sure to check your specs. If you need an Inverter for your vehicle, you could probably go higher in Watts. This was perfect for our needs! While shopping for this Inverter, I discovered some nifty newer vehicle jump-starters that are compact enough to fit in your hand--what a blessing for people with small vehicles--can't wait to get one of those too!

I learned the hard way, that when your battery is low on your cell phone, and it is very cold. The battery on your cell may not be able to call for help. I slid into a ditch on a country road. I purchased one for most of my very close family, so that they will always have a way to charge their phone in an auto emergency. Works great in older cars without plugs. I recommend this product. Well constructed, works as expected.

I would first want to note that THIS IS NOT JUST A REGULAR POWER ADAPTER YOU PLUS THREE PRONG PLUGS INTO.You can plus USB cords into it, and it has a great design, and is clearly a high quality product.The only thing I'd note, is if what you are plugging in, has a short cord, you might want to have an extension cord in your car with this.For ex. if you are buying one of these plug-in hot plates to cook food items while camping and such, if the hot plate (like the one I purchased with it) and you just have these two items in your trunk together, you should have a cord with it. This cord they "suggest" you buy with it, just extends the cigarette lighter six feet, a cheaper $2 extension cord will suit the purpose just as well.

Nine hours in the car one way demands entertainment, and that entertainment for nine hours requires some juice. I have a portable DVD player that came with a car adapter. It won't work without being plugged in. I also prefer to run the sound through the aux input in my car stereo. Problem with that is the interference with the sound...a constant buzz. PROBLEM SOLVED! With the wall charger for the DVD player plugged in to this gadget, there was no interference with the audio through the aux input in the car speakers. I had no idea that would happen, but it was a terrific surprise!For a little while, we were running both the DVD player and an iPad 2 through the inverter, and both were charging.Works perfectly! I would highly recommend it.

Usefull but not a long enough cable

Arrived with bent pins on 3 of the 6 plugs. The plug I needed right away was the worst of the bunch. Thankfully, I was able to gently bend them all back into alignment. A little concerned if that weakened the pins inside the housing but things seem to be working OK for now. One other minor suggestion is to indicate the polarity on the adapter somewhere. I knew going in that the polarity is not reversible and that's fine as all of my devices currently have inner positive connections. But next time I need to use it on a different device, I'll forget how this adapter is configured. I'll probably just write it on the adapter with a silver Sharpie.UPDATE: The manufacturer contacted me after seeing my review and sent me replacement plugs for the ones that were bent. These arrived in good condition. I'm updating my rating from 3 to 4 stars due to the excellent customer support.

This worked great the adjustable power makes it so I can use it on multiple products.

I needed this for a gadget that doesn't take a standard 5.5/2.1mm 12v jack. It came with a jack that fit. The cord is too short, though, and I wish it came in a 5A version.

Edited review: I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. Here is why: This charger did not work for the radio we tried to charge..... however within hours of posting my 2 star review I was contacted by SoulBay Direct and they bent over backward with suggestions of an alternate product that would work, or a refund if I wished, all in order to make me a happy customer. I still have the charger and know I will be able to use it for other items, especially since it has the USB port. Do not be afraid to deal with SoulBay.

Our telephone original power cord went belly up, and I could not find one the exact charge locally to replace it. Amazon had a universal adapter that had a setting to pair the correct setting. The only vice I had was the pin to sit in its power source broke. Thank goodness I order two units. Once place together it works great. I giving four stars only because of it sensitive pins***

I would have given this five stars, but when it's plugged into your car, it will not shut off when you power off your ignition. Multiple other devices that I used to plug into my car socket, shut off after the car shuts off. This however does not. It performs very well, and honestly doesn't get nearly as hot as I thought it would. It definitely comes in handy, seeing as I'm an asthmatic, and was able to use my nebulizer treatment while on the road traveling.Overall, if you're going to be traveling on the road and need something that you would normally plug into your wall at your house, this is a great device to get.Please do pay attention to the amount of power that it can handle. A friend of mine got one of these, not the same exact item, and his fried while on the highway, and caused all sorts of smoke in melted plastic. This one apparently has a built-in overload protection, but I don't want to test to see if it works. You're better off just following the max power label, and sticking to it

Bought it for a long travel. It works great if you have a normal usage computer. If you have a powerful working computer, might not do the job for you. It makes a working noise, and it gets hot to the touch after a number of hours (don't remember how long it took to get hot).

I bought this to help me convert solar to AC. I wanted something simple that was very efficient. All the negative reviews on this were for higher powered situations that may have blown a fuse. I don't have to worry about it. I just want to recharge my tablet PC with my solar panels when I'm hiking in the desert. Seems to work as desired.

I've had this for over two years now and it still works. The metal pins and springs do get warn out, however. I've had to use a screwdriver to pry and adjust them so the product stays connected. It may pop out on bumpy roads if plugged in horizontally, stopping the device from working. It's best to purchase this if you have a vertical or diagonal cigarette lighter that won't jar the device loose on bumps.

For only twenty bucks, the peace of mind is great when traveling. If driving long distances, I can keep my phone charged for emergencies and/or maps/navigation. If I fly, it's good to be able to recharge when I get a rental car, after wearing out my battery keeping myself occupied waiting for delayed flights. It's very handy to have. Would be nicer if it were smaller, and if it wasn't noisy, but those are minor complaints.

This BesTek device performs brilliantly as a power supply.However, there are a couple of issues that are a nuisance for me, as follows:1. The fan noise started as barely audible the first time I used it, to being loud enough that a windshield-mounted camera will pick it up.2. RF noise on all channels. Today I officially stopped using it all together, when I noticed that it creates loud interference on all the UHF bands used by my $400 lavalier long range wireless microphone.

Fair product, built with typical quality you'd expect from a lower level Chinese manufacturer. Okay for light use.

Works great, I've had zero issues with the product. It came with the adaptor I needed powers my led strip just fine. I think it's a little expensive for what it is which is why I've given the the rating I have, but a good product for sure.

Works as promised and solved my problem but beware as the pins are very weak when you try to push them into the receptacle plug. The pins are NOT forgiving.

Thus is probably a good product. Sadly it will not power the device I bought it for. I have no idea why it will not work. The device I was wanting to power is new and a friends worked on it which is why I bought this one. So buy at your own risk 😒

I tried writing a review earlier but it was rejected for some reasons. This product did not have the adapter I needed for my application so I returned it.

Sadly, this arrived broken. I would say in this case, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than some other similar models and it seemed to be pretty low quality. The one piece I needed had a broken prong, so I can't really say too much else about it. I did receive a prompt refund, on the plus side.

Works, charges well as expected but the fan can be annoying at times. Sometimes when I start the car, the fan on the charger makes crazy nosies but then it settles down and sound louder than my Dyson fan which is quiet. Its annoying but I needed to support multiple devices and a laptop, so this works for the 150W that I needed.

My car outlet on the front seat is under the armrest. The problem with this unit is that it's a pain to plug in a tight space. I ended up purchased another one that has a wire extension so it can easily be plugged into any area.

This appeared to work relatively well at first, but then over time the weight of the outlet seemed to pull it away from the plug in area and it would disconnect. Still works I just have to be very careful and try to arrange the cords so that they aren't pulling down.

The 110v outlet seems to not convert power properly, I've had wire casings melt in some electronics and now I don't plug in anything expensive without another adapter in the outlet.

It is nice to have such a compact inverter with both a household plug and two usb plugs. But... the fan on this thing started to make a hell of a noise only a few weeks after I've gotten it. I find it very annoying. The only inverter I've ever had that doesn't do that is a REAL inverter box. But those are so clunky. *Sigh* guess you can't have everything

This thing works fine and will be a great solution for some, but not all, vehicles. I have a 97 Buick Lesabre. The ash tray with the lighter is somewhat under the dash. This configuration does not allow the use of this directly. The body of the adapter is just too big to insert it into the lighter receptacle. I still use it but I had to buy another adapter with a length of cord to plug this into. Consider that if you have a lighter receptacle in the console between your seats or any area where there is not considerable open space around the receptacle.

Many options for connecting but not for the one product I needed it for!

I lost the cord for my space saver radio, and after reading the reviews, I thought this would be a solution. It did not work for me. Only one of the different plugin sort of fit the radio but the radio never turned on. I did not return it because it would have been too much of a hassle and maybe in the future, it can be good for something else.UPDATE: After I had posted my review, customer service contacted and went above and beyond helping find the solution for the non-working cord. They kept in constant communication going back and forth with questions and answers until found resolution. My advice for customers buying this product: if it is not working, do not hesitate to call them because they are very knowledgeable about their products and they will not rest until you are an entirely satisfied customer.

Hi,I started using this plug, however, it completely stopped working after a month. I've inspected the wiring and there seems to be no visual damage to the charger. Does anyone know if there is a warranty on this product?????

As far as producing the proper amount of DC voltage, the unit appeared to work as advertised. However, when plugged in to a household AC receptacle, it produced interference on the phone line. The unit had to be un-plugged to hear the caller or to call out.

The product technically works fine, however, like 100% of all other such products I have looked at, it is difficult to know from the descriptions, exactly what tips you are getting. I needed a 2.5 mm diameter male plug for my application. The product description says it has one that is 2.5 mm. In actuallity, it is 3.5 mm, and won't work in my application. Rather than go through the hassle of a return, I cut the end off my old adapter, and spliced it onto the new one. Works, but wish I didn't have to do that!

It's adequate. I bought this to use with a portable CD player, and if I could get the interchangeable tips to fully seat on the cord end then I would like it a lot better. Also, the tip that fits in the hole in my CD player is too long, so it does a good bit of exposed metal. But the CD player gets power this way. It's cheaply made (in china), and I expect I'll be throwing it away as soon as I can find a replacement...but it technically does what it advertises.

It arrive in great time! Thank you. Been using this just recently. And it works great. so I changed the 4 to 5 star..Had to change rating. I did not really use this product til recently, and after about a week, it no longer works properly.What a bummer.

I have only used the product a few times and after running in the car, and I stop for gas or something, then come back out to start the car, the bearing howls on the internal fan and it doesn't get up to speed. If I let it cool down for a while, it seems to start fine again. Not happy with the product and even though I've only had it about 2 months, my amazon account says I can't return it. I may just have a dud unit as it seems the reviews are generally favorable.

This started out working pretty well and is really convenient for all your charging needs, but the prongs on the side got loose after a few weeks of use, so I keep having to readjust it while I'm driving (not preferable), and also when it's working the fan makes a very noticeable whirring noise. It becomes white noise and I'm able to tune it out after a couple of minutes, but it's still somewhat distracting. I don't use it anymore because having to readjust it all the time is really annoying. Literally every time I hit a bump in the road, it would stop charging. I've since found an alternative.

I have had no long term luck with these. I find them to be one of the best intended ideas out there. They just don't last. I have tried several and they have all failed. Either the case breaks or one day they just stop working. This and all its other counterparts have made it less than a year. Build one in metal, add a decent accessible fuse and I would try again.

We have a 2006 Ford F-150, a 2007 Toyota Sienna mini van, and a 2001 Toyota Camry and this charger doesn't fit any of our vehicles. It goes in, but invariably within 2-3 minutes pops back out. It doesn't even fit at all in our Camry. I only gave it the second star because it does work and might work in other vehicles, but 0-3 is something to be very wary of. I would definitely not recommend unless you know it fits your vehicle (then, it works great)

When I plugged this device into my cigarette lighter and then plugged my phone's AC adapter into the device, my phone's touch screen stopped responding. The touch screen would start responding again every time I unplugged the AC adapter.However, when I plugged the phone's USB charger directly into the USB, the phone worked and indicated that it was being charged. However, despite my phone requiring only 5W maximum to charge, its charge went back and forth from 96% to 97% while on this device. When I use a standard cell phone car charger, the phone can charge to essentially 100%.I have not scoped the output from either the AC or the USB on this device, but I suspect both have high harmonic distortion. That might explain the funny behavior of the phone.Meanwhile, even when not plugged in, this device's fan kicked on and off. I would have been fine with it running continuously, but it was distracting hearing it go back and forth.A lot of people have rated this device very highly; I'm surprised. It seems no better than the rest of the poor inverters on the market. In fact, it might be much worse!Having said that, if you want to plug simple devices into the inverter (light bulbs, for example), then maybe this device is perfect for you.

This did not work at all as a replacement for our baby monitor cord that fizzled out. None of the pieces fit. Not to mention, one of them broke instantly as I was trying to get it out of the plastic holder. I should have listened to the reviewers that said this was cheaply made.

Not a true universal adapter -- the pins on the connectors are asymmetric (one thicker than the other), and the holes for them on the cable are the same way, so that they only go in one way, tip-negative. It _may_ work for you, if that's your application. But if you want a positive tip, forget it. Also, the pins are loose and wobbly.

Nice packaging, cool name, good-looking product. First clicked the dial to 9v with the provided key. That was the last thing that went right. Fit of adapter bits to sleeve was off, so I really had to push hard and was afraid of breaking the flimsy-looking pins. Positive/ negative marks on adapter sleeve and bits were reversed (No mistake, the two rods that slide into the sleeve were different sizes.). Plugged it in and the body got really hot. Then the audio equipment it was suppose to power only hummed. Utter dud. Threw it away immediately and ordered a brand I can trust.

This adapter is negative polarity only but that is not listed anywhere on the listing or the description, looking at the part itself it's not obvious either

Absolute garbage. A pin fell out of 2 of the 6 adapters without touching them --- one of these two was the one I needed. Tried to put the pins back in. But couldn't get it to work at all. Do NOT buy this.

worked great for 8 months, then STOPPED. Purchased 1/21/17, stopped 8/13/17. Will NOT buy again!!!! I write a lot of reviews, rarely write a bad review, but had to for a product that stops after 8 months.

I have a Honda Pilot, this product has blown several fuses. At first I wasn't sure if it was me but then when I tried another outlet it blew that one. Wasn't sure why since the product reads correctly for the car but when I took my car to the dealership they tested it in a BRAND NEW vehicle and it blew right out. The unit is pulling more volts than it states on the product. Save yourself some money and time and don't buy this product.

Don't believe the 150 watts. I have two of these, and neither of them can take a 90 watt drone battery charger without tripping its internal circuit breaker.

Stopped working! After only 3 months... I am very disappointed! And I can't even return it... Do not recommend getting this for your car. I had it in my car for 3 months and used in on a long road trip, worked great until a week ago! No happy at all!

Worked a couple times and then the AC outlet stopped functioning altogether. I wish there were more inverter options on Amazon because it looks like Bestek is the only real option. Waste of $20 - in search of a better inverter now
