Great addition to any tool set for the price.
June 28, 2016
Great little drill, works perfect for my needs. I do a lot of furniture assembly and this thing has just the right amount of torque to drive screws without over-tightening or stripping heads. Battery lasts a decent amount of time between charges. I like that it it's lightweight and can change positions, makes it easy to store in my tool bag. Great addition to any tool set for the price.
Great for it intended purposes.
February 10, 2016
I bought this because I end up taking apart and fixing the majority of my children's toys, video game controllers, or other small electronics. It has enough power to easily unscrew all these easily without stripping. For home improvement? It's not great. but for what I bought it for it's perfect. The battery lasts and holds it's charge well. I've had mine for over a month, used it multiple times a week and I've never had to recharge it. Can't complain about that!
high quality, great price, time saver
October 20, 2015
This is a very nice little tool if, like me, you are sometimes at a loss to use a drill or a screwdriver. Often a drill is overkill, and too bulky... but if you have a lot of little screws to drive in or take out this works like a charm. A good example... I was assembling a big cabinet that was the type of thing you get from ikea although a different brand... once almost finished you had to install a back board for stability with about 50 little screws... this is perfect and plenty of power for jobs like that. This is also a very handy paint prep tool... I paint a lot of interiors and am constantly removing outlet and light switch covers, door hardware, light fixtures, etc... and this cuts the time to do all that in half. This is also nice to have if you are putting in a lot of fairly small screws and need to have your drill to pre-drill... you don't have to keep switching between the drill bit and driver bit... this has enough power to put in small to medium screws once you have pre-drilled properly. The little led light is also nice... I like how it has an on off switch... plenty of light just leave it off to save battery life... you can also use it as a little flashlight when you drop a screw on the grass or carpet... many tools I have noticed the light just goes on when you press the trigger, and I find this solution much better. This also feels very high quality for the price point... I have used it at least a dozen times now and it has paid for itself in time saved.
Powerful and Light
April 29, 2015
I bought this because I was frustrated with using my husbands big heavy drill to do the smaller jobs I take care of around the house. So far it's great, light weight and easy to handle but still powerful. Love the angle change too. And it fits in my tool bag without making it heavy or taking up all kinds of room. By the way..I keep catching my husband with it.
Well worth the money thus far
April 21, 2015
I haven't gotten to use it much, but it's a lot nicer than the Skil $40 electric screwdriver it replaced. Other than the price, the main thing that drew me to is was the torque settings. I do RC helicopter modeling where there are a lot of machine screws run into aluminum and having the torque adjustment makes it easy to tighten down a screw without overtightening it and stripping out the hole. The quick-release chuck holds the screwdriver bit firmly so that it stays in the screwdriver rather than on the screw as was the case with the Skil.
Surprising powerful for a cordless item
January 28, 2015
This is surprisingly powerful for a cordless item. I like the locking chuck and the independent LED light. The light lets you see the screw before you power on the driver. Holds its charge for quite a long time. I also like that, by twisting the torque collar, you can lock the tool for using as a hand screwdriver. I also like that you can't overcharge it. It simply quits charging when it is fully charged. My only, very tiny, gripe is the direction switch. It is very easy to bump it with your finger when you grab the trigger causing the unit to either go the wrong direction or simply do nothing if the switch in the center.

Great for general use, just a little slow.
September 7, 2017
Not bad, we use this in a low impact low force environment, as we are basically using it for "nut and bolt" type assembly and it works great, battery lasts a long time, better than I thought.Only gripe is the "200rpm" seems a little slower than our other 200rpm drills.
Very good, compact Rechargeable Screwdriver!
February 13, 2016
I purchased this rechargeable screwdriver to have in my home office near my computer and it is working perfectly. It is not the most powerful device but as long as it is charged up, it works fine for simple tasks around a home. It is compact, nice and easy to use, just remember to keep it charged up. For example, I used the screwdriver to hang a couple things in my garage though I did use my Dewalt cordless drill to drill the holes, but the rechargeable screwdriver took over after that. I am very happy with this screwdriver it serves my desired purpose for it just fine.

I wanted the Craftsman drill that is similar but it wasn't available. This one is very close but it's a bit heavier than the Craftsman. My husband hasn't used it yet but he was excited to have this smaller portable drill for the smaller jobs.
Worth the money.
May 15, 2015
Not actually made by kawasaki but a very good tool anyway. Nice compact size and the rotating handle is a really useful feature. You can hold it as a screwdriver or as a pistol grip drill. Definitely worth the money.
Great
April 16, 2015
Love it, I'm a telecom tech and and a lot of times a screw drive just isn't gonna cut it ,I need something faster. This drill for the money is pretty great, the only bad thing I can say is that the led light is not bright enough even at pitch dark. Other than that great buy.
I Like This Driver
November 1, 2011
Pros: Holds charge well. Built in LED flashlight. Torque limiting adjustment. Dual-angle (pistol to straight). Feels solid. Nice weight.Cons: The reversing switch is awkwardly placed. Easy to hit it by mistake. Enough torque for most jobs, but not all.Overall, I like this tool and use it a lot. So far, it's a great value for the money. However, this is basically a convenience tool for small projects. For big jobs, or jobs requiring a lot of torque, you'll still need to break out the power drill. The dual angle adjustment is a great convenience feature. Far superior to the "hinged" cordless drivers. I've had this for a few months now and used it for maybe a half-dozen projects. No signs of wear yet, though I'm sure the battery will eventually wear out, at which point it would make more sense to replace the whole driver than the battery.I'm giving this four stars based on the features vs price. At $20 I definitely got my money's worth.

Bought this to assemble cabinets which have lots of clip attachments to screw in. The power is ok. Next time I will buy a 12v drill with two batteries.

Better then what I found at hardware store -- BUT not as good as old one I had for years.
Pros Long battery life with nice led indicator
December 30, 2015
ConsNot very powerful, the rotation L/R button located too close to trigger hand location making it switch when you dont need it switched.ProsLong battery life with nice led indicator, flashlight is nice, the swivel from straight to gun is handy, for what it is its just fine for small house jobs or tight spaces.Good product.
Uses single ended bits. There is also no bit storage
March 5, 2015
Seems to be OK. However, it needs two things. It only takes single ended bits. Means you need one for straight and one for Philips instead of a doubled bit. There is also no bit storage. I do like being able to turn on just the light.ADDED: I got tired of looking for bits so I used silicone to attach a super magnet to the top.

For short term use only
June 11, 2017
Did not even last one year. After leaving it on the charger for a few hours (this is 10 months after I bought it), somehow the components were fried, emitted a mild warm plastic smell, and stopped working completely.
Too Slow
December 6, 2016
Works, but too slow for me. Feel like I'm stopping for a nap whenever I use it. Needs a higher speed.
Two Stars
March 2, 2016
Worked OK until it didn't. I used it infrequently. Stopped charging after 1 year. Charger tested OK
not overly happy
December 12, 2015
Not overly happy with this, the bits are loose in the unit, the trigger/switch is a little flack and they say you cannot use it as a drill because it is too slow (didn't see that when I bought it).
Kawasaki 4.0 volt cordless screwdriver
April 17, 2013
poor switch design - after using a few times this is what happens: first depress of trigger spindle rotates continuously - release trigger and then depress trigger a second time spindle rotates 1/4 of a revolution and stops. I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this tool - dis-assembly reveals a cheap leaf contact switch which when closed arcs causing the the spindle to stop - expected higher quality -we'll see if Alltrade honors the warranty ( this is not a Kawasaki product! )
Sadly, yet another cordless driver with a bad switch...
August 30, 2011
Lots of things to like about this driver, but sadly it's going to have to go back...Nice:- clutch, swivel handle, sleeved bit holder, reasonably compact, light- but not empty-feeling- weight, independent LED light switch. Not so nice:- (unsurprising, really) NOT variable speed as mentioned in a previous review; reversing switch awkward to access; awful font for clutch setting numerals- as often found in Chinese instruction manuals; barely visible clutch setting marker arrow moulding; nasty cheap clear plastic over charge level LEDs; plug-in, rather than cradle, charger (though at least that avoids the problem of poor contacts); not terribly torque-y; "Kawasaki" branding sticker, while nice, is going to fall off in short order- and it is just a licensed use of the name, not like Hitachi or Panasonic...The unacceptable:- basically, you can't use it more than once or twice in a given direction before it will cease to respond to the trigger- the LED, if on, extinguishes, as if the battery was flat, but the charge indicators show good charge. And if you try to go the reverse direction- it's fine- one time...! Inspection shows the drill has an open metal leaf contact behind the trigger, not a microswitch. I'm guessing the odd behavior is due to some electrolytic action as the contacts arc- at least that might be some sort of explanation! I wonder if this is the case for the whole slew of drivers that are getting bad reviews for their triggers...??So, it's going back, and I'm going to get my Bosch IXO II sent over from the UK- it'll be interesting to see how its battery is after 3 years rest...!

Bought 4 drills on August 22nd and they are already not working. When plugged into charger it says they are charging but they wont turn on, even after 2-3 days charging.
Not pleased. Pitiful torque.
June 4, 2016
So I've had & used this for months now and it's bad in all kinds of ways. I've owned and used many a cordless screwdriver through the years and I bought this one to replace a Black & Decker that I've owned for many years and loved. The dumbest thing about this tool is the direction button is right where your finger and thumb naturally rests so I find myself constantly accidently pushing the button in half way. This disables the power/trigger. Just as bad - this driver has little to no torque. The motor stops turning before the torque starts slipping if it's set in the higher range. Now I'm not trying to screw in 3" deck screws or anything. I know it's just a driver but it even fails at that task. Charge doesn't seem to last very long. LED indicator lights are pretty useless. Yes, they light when you push the button, but even when green the amount of torque is pitiful. If you are going to have power indicator meter, at least make it useful. The ability to switch from pistol grip to straight works. Though again, the forward/backward button just gets in the way. Yeah, in case you can't tell - not happy at all. Will have to put this in the junk pile of useless tools and buy something else.
Bad product
January 6, 2016
This product broke immediately, it didn't even last a few months. We probably used it twice. Now we cannot return it because Amazon only gives you a month to return.
Cheap design and bad purchase
December 11, 2015
Stopped working after first charge. Also when it was working, the direction button (forward/reverse) is in the way of gripping the handle. So everyone every time I would need to hold it form, my hand's pressure would change the direction. Frustrating.
I am very disappointed with this tool and I want a refund
October 10, 2015
Battery doesn't last long enough, weak torque, and slow. The reverse/left button is not in a strategic position, I'm right-handed and it always gets accidentally pressed to the lock position by the index finger whenever I pull the trigger. The light button is not ambidextrous, it can be operated with one hand only if you are left-handed. If you're right handed, then you have to drop whatever you are holding on your left left hand to press the button. There is a delay when you want to re-tighten the screw, you have to wait 1-2 seconds before pressing the trigger in succession. The torque selector is confusing, it is hard to see the arrow in dark areas. The arrow should be statically positioned on the top and the numbers are the ones to rotate. I am very disappointed with this tool and I want a refund.
Disappointed performance
January 16, 2012
I purchased this item to replace a worn out Ryobi of about the same demensions and features. Unlike the Ryobi, this tool does not 'lock' once you've reached the twisting limit you've selected. It wasn't described as a feature, so I tried to adapt. Then the on button switch began to get intermittent. Without the lock feature, it made the tool unusable. Unfortunately, I didn't bother to look into returning it until after the return window expired. I couldn't find a Kawasaki tool website to seek manufacturer support. Bottom line, I would not recommend this tool.
