Five Star Reviews: | 56% Love it February 22, 2017 Love this phone. I just cracked the screen severely on my original and ordered this one in its stead. It runs smooth, easy to use and just an all around excellent device. It comes with a hands-free headset with spare ear pieces, usb wall charger and cable, battery and manual booklets (that in my opinion) don't really tell you anything but the extreme basics. I've had to use YouTube videos to learn from others on what this device can actually do and how. The battery does tend to overheat at times and I personally recommend downloading a battery cooling app which does indeed help. And this problem isn't just for Androids but iPhone's as well. Great Phone at a Bargain Price! September 9, 2016 Nice little phone for a fraction of the price of the full featured phones. It does everything this retired couple needs to do. We restart it about once a week just to clear out the memory which makes it work smoother (just like with any computer). I found that having a high speed micro SD memory card installed works great...you can install those lesser used apps on the memory card and leave those most used apps in the phone's memory for quicker access. The Boost Mobile service is on the Sprint Network and works great in my area. I would say the LTE speeds are not quite as consistent as ATT or Verizon, but works perfectly well for our needs. Wish I had gotten this sooner! April 29, 2016 I've been happy with both this phone and the service (Boost mobile). I've been with Net10 and AT&T GoPhone, and this has had better service all around. To be fair, the phones I used with Net10 and AT&T were NOT smartphones, one was a simple flip type, the other was a bare bones copy of a Blackberry. Regardless, I wish I had gotten this sooner! As other reviewers pointed out, this isn't cutting edge. I did a comparo with a friend's S6, and it didn't blow this Prevail away, but there is a noticeable improvement over the Prevail in many ways. The upside? I charge this phone every two to three days, and that's with fairly frequent use. My friend has to leave his on the charger every night. So if you want a smartphone but don't need cutting edge hardwire and service, but want something reliable, I highly recommend this! Impressive battery life. April 19, 2015 For only being 1.2 ghz, it's pretty fast. The quad core processor allows it to run more efficiently, without all the background apps bottle-necking and slowing it down. This phone is exceptional at conserving power. I don't have any power saving modes running, and yet it only loses about 3% overnight. My old phone had to be charged about twice a day, and that's with only moderate to light use. I don't need to use my phone heavily, as I have tablets, laptops, and a PC I can use for watching videos and general web surfing. So, with my light useage I can get away with charging it once every two or three days.If you're wondering if this is a genuine Boost Mobile phone, yes it is. I activated mine within minutes, from the phone itself. I will probably be using this Prevail for the next year or two, depending on when the S-5 goes down far enough in price for me to afford it. And even then, I'll be keeping this little beauty around as a backup. Great Phone February 17, 2015 Had the s5 And i loved it until it was stolen from me. I knew i couldn't afford another one so i searched for other options. I dont like zte phones and the htc phone that competes with this one is the same exact phone only different sofware. Anyways this phone is like a mini s5 has quad core processor, No hd screen but the resolution is good enough. Camera is great not the best not the worst. Battery life is awesome can day 12 hrs with heavy use. I have a 128 gb sd card and it reads and loads up pics fast. This phone also includes in ear head phones like the s5 did. Overall for now im gonna keep this phone i would prefer an hd display and a processor like the s5s but for the price this may be be best phone Boost has to offer under 200. Better than the s3 Minus the display | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 17% Nice phone December 11, 2015 Replaced my Samsung Galaxy 3 with this mobile. It's nice. I miss some of the features of my galaxy 3... like taking screen shots with just a swipe. This does process slower and I have to limit app use because it freezes. Pics and vids are ok but it takes a long time to snap a pic no matter what settings are used or whether the flash is on or off. My child ends up blurry or I miss the shot completely. Battery stays charged a decent amount of time on standby. It was an easy set up and the Boost Mobile rep was super nice and helpful! No problems with service. I'm using the same Sprint network and kept my number. Found a cute shell on Amazon to protect it. Despite some mild negatives, I enjoy the phone and it gets a lot of use. the speaker is wonky --- people can't hear me unless the phone is on speaker and even then i've been told i sound like jack-in-t November 19, 2015 i would give 5 stars except for one thing. the speaker is wonky --- people can't hear me unless the phone is on speaker and even then i've been told i sound like jack-in-the-box. so i bought a bluetooth speaker phone for my desk so i can be on conference calls. it is good this way but the additional speakerphone cost me another !40 dollars. Amazing phone for the price November 2, 2015 Amazing phone for the price .....This purchase was a roll of the dice, but for $69 I took a chance, and I'm very gad I did.... This phone is user friendly and self explanatory. The phone is a little big for my hands but it is sleek and slim. May I also say the screen size is very decent not to big - not to small. Only issue while entering text the keys often go awry and refuse to enter correct text but I just shut down and open the display quickly (no need to power off) and its good to go. I recommend you purchase this phone if you hate spending $100s of dollars on phones .... Good for the price! September 29, 2015 I do love this phone, but it does have its issues. It's great for the price, but I have found it to be very slow when running several apps at once. I thought I could remedy this with a memory card, but it's the RAM. It freezes up a lot, and I often have to remove the battery to get the phone to restart. The touch-screen motion isn't as smooth as it could be (I only figured that out by using an S3 once and the difference was huge). There is a 911 dialer on the lock-screen, which is great for emergencies. It is inconvenient otherwise, as it's incredibly easy to accidentally dial. It also has KitKat 4.4.4. OS so if you want to use nice shiny new games and apps, you can pretty much forget about new features. I can't even update it, or if I can, I haven no idea how to. I find it also lags a lot, depending on the program you use.On the other hand, it's a pretty phone. Kind of opalescent. It's a good size and sleek (for someone small like me. 5'1" and petite in frame). They did add screencapture, or at least the phone (same model) I had previously just for some reason didn't. The sound is good, in my opinion. Boost doesn't work very well around where I live, but the call quality is decent. Despite a few cons, I do actually like this phone quite a lot. I'm upgrading to the J7 now and we'll see how they compare, but for the price, I've had a pretty good experience with it. Not all that bad.... June 15, 2015 I got this phone in order to test switching to Sprint full time after being fed up with Verizon's outrageous prices. I was looking for a cheap phone to primarily test the network, but I figured I could provide a review for someone that may be looking to actually use the phone as a daily driver. So, here goes.First and foremost, this is a budget phone. It does not have all the bells and whistles that major flagship phones have. However, with that being said, it really isn't that bad.Cons:-No brightness sensor. It seems like this isn't that big of a deal, but it can be fairly annoying.-No haptic feedback on bottom buttons. This one is a little nit picky, but it was something I was wondering about.- Will most likely remain on Android 4.4.4. Once again, not necessarily a bad thing, but don't expect it to be updated.-Typing. The predictive text can be a little quarky at times.- Resolution. If you are a everyday phone user that isn't looking for super high quality, don't even worry about this. My Verizon phone is a Note 3 and when side by side, it is noticeable. However, I watched a few minutes of something I know streams in high definition on Netflix, and it honestly looked pretty darn good.Pros:-Battery. Not having all the bells and whistles means not having to power them all. I have put it through very heavy usage, and it blows the note 3 out of the water.-Price. This had to be said. I paid $80 for a fairly decent phone that was brand new. Ridiculous!-Touchwiz. If you are a fan of Samsung's touchwiz, then you'll feel right at home. I, personally, like it. It's a lighter version than what is on the more expensive phones.-Speaker. No, it isn't stereo or anything, but it is plenty loud to hear across the room just fine.Overall, a decent phone given the insanely low price. Whether you are getting this phone to be a back up or for daily use, I don't think you'll be disappointed. it was in a secure boost mobile box and easy to turn on May 18, 2015 very fast delivery. I ordered this phone on the 14th of may and it was at my house by the 18th. it was in a secure boost mobile box and easy to turn on. good buy for sure. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |

Apps and internet load slowly and she ... May 21, 2016 Bought for my wife and she jus doesn't like it. Apps and internet load slowly and she lost interest it. I'm going to be cancelling my boost plan because this phone is just not cutting it. The camera is horrible in comparison February 10, 2016 I miss my Galaxy II. Many of the stock options of the Galaxy II didn't get carried over to this version. There isn't even an option to download them to this phone, even if I was willing to pay for them. The camera is horrible in comparison. I don't have the voice command to text or call in drive mode. I don't have the ability to announce who incoming texts are from or read the texts to me. I wish I never got this one. Pretty but Glitchy January 28, 2016 I have had this phone for 3 months to be exact. I read that there were a few glitches and this is certainly true of the one I received. First, straight out of the package, it never acknowledged that I had a SIM card, and as long as I started texting or calling as soon as I turned the phone on, it would trick the phone and I would continue to be able to send/receive messages. This was a very tedious process, so I was never able to turn my phone off or put it on airplane mode without issues. Well, it's finally crapped out and I can no longer establish a signal and texting is impossible. Also, I have never been able to answer another call or decline another call while someone else was on the line, it would automatically drop both calls. There isn't a bump, mark, ding, scratch, water damage, or otherwise to suggest that it was broken. The camera, despite the pixel quality, left something to be desired. It was extremely difficult to take any picture that wasn't blurry without the flash being on. If the flash was on, the color was rather disappointing. Only plus side is the "beauty face" option for the front facing camera, which softened the images and gave them a nice glow.Sound quality during calls was also problematic, and even with a healthy signal, sometimes the sound level would drop for no reason. I still don't know if it was a provider error or the phone itself.Everything else worked well, but without text, I now have to buy a new one. This phone is a gamble. When you upgrade a phone it just not easy but in time you learn how it operated December 19, 2015 When you upgrade a phone it just not easy but in time you learn how it operated, I give this phone a three star, Because I has to return to for a factor disorder. And I lost all my number so I not a happy camper. But I decide this time just use it for talking on and a few text. C+ October 11, 2015 Decent phone for the price. I've bought two. One has been working fine for months, the other failed after about 6 weeks. Warranty replacement was a nightmare. Close to a month to get it returned. And then missing parts which Samsung refused to follow through on. Fortunately, Boost stepped up. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% looks nice but very slow May 10, 2016 Had this for a week. Very slow. I went to write a review earlier and it opened the review for this instead of the produ t i was trying to actually write the review on. To get to anything on this phone can take anywhere from 30seconds to 3 minutes. And yes i have timed it. Im not very happy right now. This phone was good for 6 months then went bad April 24, 2016 This phone was good for 6 months then went bad! Started overheating, black screens, would not bring up apps. Do not purchase! It's under warranty for 1 yr but in order to receive a new phone you must send in the phone & be without it for over 10 days! I spent $70 on a phone that lasted 6 months, ridiculous! Unfortunately, processes have stopped March 24, 2016 I've had this phone for six months and it's failing to work already. I get an error message that processes have stopped, constantly. I've googled the problem and nothing has worked. I've done three factory resets and removed my micro sd card. It still glitches. I'm scared to get another Samsung. Not that good! March 8, 2016 I gave it some time to get used to it and i dont really like it. Very slow working and keeps freezing and keyboard is different as well the only good thing is the space on it. GARBAGE February 25, 2016 This is not on the level of most flagship Samsung phones. I expected some degree of economy but this phone was an utter disappointment. I would recommend the Motorola phones. Moto G Black (Boost Mobile) Wish I Read More Carefully! October 17, 2015 I was excited to read so many great reviews, that I totally blew off the several that complained about the charging port, dumb! Each time I charge it, I have to watch it, cause the connection keeps slipping out, making me babysit the whole charge time. I've had this for almost two months, before this began, so now I'm unable to return! Kind of sucks! Buyer beware!! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 13% The phone blinks that it's missing a SIM card when ... December 14, 2016 The phone blinks that it's missing a SIM card when it's clearly one in there, I'm thinking they are sending out refurbished phones Hit or miss December 2, 2016 It worked fine until Samsung started sending android updates. Now it doesn't like being a phone. If you are able to answer a call you're real lucky. If you want to make a call, you have to restart it or pull the battery to shut it down then turn it on and make a call before the android tries to make all your apps run at the same time. Hit or miss is how your luck runs if you get a call or text. Worst phone I ever had May 16, 2016 Worst phone I ever had. Freezes constantly, slow performance, 2 months after I have it the screen started to blink.. Maybe I just got a lemon phone but I still wont recommend this one. I am surprise since I never had a problem with a Samsung phone. But this one is cheaply made Junk and a joke. May 11, 2016 Near anout the time the teturn is no lomger honored, the phone mouthpiece starts to malfunction. The voice cuts in and out leaving the person on the other end missing mostly everything I am saying. What a scam, dont buy from this seller. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE April 24, 2016 Terrible memory storage space. Constantly locked up when I was simply trying to dial various phone numbers. Not a good smartphone at all. I would advise people to save up and purchase an Apple IPHONE. I was a long time android smartphone and thought that this phone would be a good one for its price, I WAS SO WRONG. One Star April 22, 2016 Shorter out and could have burned my house down.
