Got it as a blanket for the dog and I've used it on multiple occasions. It's unbelievably soft and so warm. Washed it numerous times too and it's still just as soft! Great quality, especially for the price!

Great blanket, but the picture shows a different chevron pattern than the one I bought before. Very comfortable and easy to wash.

It's even better looking in person. I am weird. I took a really long time to shop for a blanket. Like abnormally long time.. I was shivering for several weeks because I couldn't decide. I didn't want to waste money and buy a bunch or return a bunch that I didn't need. I just wanted to get a warm enough blanket that I could throw around when I was feeling cold but didn't feel like turning up the heat in the house. The velvet plush is perfect for my purposes. It is soft and velvety. It is aesthetically pleasing, a bit of lighter shade of grey than what is pictured. It comes out of the wash perfectly fine (as long as you put it on gentle cycle and low heat). It is a really good throw. I am happy too about the price point. It was less than $20 when I got it. I would definitely recommend it at lower then $20 price.

Super soft! Cuddled under this soft blanket with my babies all winter. I did notice people said it was brownish. I don't think it was brown. More of a grey with blueish tint. Really the color didn't matter to me. I wanted to feel like clouds were hugging me. Lol

Soft. Quite litteraly the softest piece of cloth I have ever touched. No hyperbole here, just objective observation.
I have a dark coffee leather couch in my ''guy's cavern'' of a living room, and this white and taupe throw looks good on it without being too ''pretty.''

I LOVE this blanket! It's sooo soft, smooth, and snuggly. It keeps you warm on the colder days and nights. Now, like almost everyone is saying, this blanket does shed. When I took it out of the box, a bunch of tiny clumps flew off, so I went and shook it out, which helped. I haven't washed it yet, but when I do, I'll update this review. We will see if it holds up. I honestly don't really care about the blanket shedding, so I'm giving it five stars. The dark purple is rich and deep, which makes it stand out. The package arrived on time and in perfect condition. Therefore, I'm highly satisfied with this blanket!

This was almost exactly what I was looking for. I say almost because it's more on the green spectrum rather than true teal, but it got me to where I was going (a peacock color theme). Looks fantastic paired with dark blue sheets and a dark purple throw. My bed is so so luxe looking now I'm giddy when tucking in for the night. And it is unbelievably soft.Happy camper here.

Very soft! A great throw blanket for those cold nights on the couch! Haven't had any of the falling apart issues others have had even after washing it.A bonus: my cat loves it. A lot. I think he is very attracted to it. And yes, that was meant in a suggestive manner.

Unbelievable quality. Incredibly soft, beautifully vibrant colors. I need to order 3 more. Yes it's somewhat thin, it's a fleece couch throw.... It's not supposed to feel like a comforter. So I'm not sure why the complaints on how thin it is. I am trepidacious to wash as I also saw the complaints on that... Will wash on cold and hang dry.... But this is e trembly high quality IMO and doesn't detract from nice Decore if you are trying to have a nicely decorated home but please your pets at the same time. Ordering 3 reals and a purple ASAP!!!UPDATE: 4-14-2016: I have not purchased 6 of these. they look beautiful to tie in and accent living rooms, dens and office couches. The colors are vibrant and these are the softest throws and thick for a fleece throw. I have had several brands...NORTHPOINT CASHMERE is THE BEST i have ever seen and used....and it keeps you shockingly warm....if they had more colors i would buy them! I have purchased 2 teal throws...2 purple throws, and two silver/grey throws. They are AMAZING gifts also....i plan on purchasing several family members some. The price is sooooo do-able also. I never thought throws could be this great....and FYI....ZERO problems washing them in the machine like some people have said. I have never put them in the dryer tho. But don't second guess....try ONE...if you arent in love after you have used it, bought the appropriate color for your decore AND washed with no problem.....you will know these are awesome. I almost bought several different brands on Amazon that looked identical...im SO GLAD I DID NOT!!

This blanket is softer than:1. freshly fallen snow2. a baby's bottom3. a thousand newborn kittens4. the fluffiest clouds that ever existed.I haven't tried to wash it yet, so I can't speak on the pilling issue, but oh. my. god. This thing is soft.If I had my druthers, I would be ensconced in it at all times. I would insist that all my clothing be made of it. I would wallpaper my walls and drape my furniture in it. It is the softest thing that I have ever touched and I believe will ever touch.So yeah, it's pretty soft.

I ordered one and loved it, so I ordered another for my bedroom and another for a friend as a gift. I've washed mine twice and I've not had one single problem - they are so soft. The problem people are having with theirs, and why they are falling apart, is because they are not washing them in cold water, and not drying them WITHOUT HEAT..Air fluff these ONLY. It even says so on the label.. If you wash these in hot or warm and then dry with heat, they will fall apart.. Follow the directions and it's a great item..

This blanket has become something to fight over in my household. Luckily I manage to win the fight for blanket warmth most days!
I've had this blanket for a few months now and I am very happy with my purchase. The blanket is a little thin, but still warm. And I've had a few loose threads around the corners and for the first few weeks I had a bit of shedding, but I've had no other problems with quality.
The blanket is extremely soft and quite large. Great for taking naps without dragging out the comforter. Overall I would recommend this blanket!

I only shorted this blanket a star because it isn't as if it's an extraordinary quality that just blows me away. However, it IS a GREAT blanket for the price and there isn't a thing wrong with it. It's ridiculously soft, the pattern is appealing, and it's a generous size. It washes and dries well and it's quickly become our favorite cuddling blanket. I wouldn't mind if it were a slightly heavier weight, but again, these are merely preferences and not indicative of anything wrong with the blanket as is.

This blanket is gorgeous and sooooo soft! I am madly in love with this blanket's color and softness. I would have given it 5 stars, but when you wash it - WOW it changes into a horrible, pilly mess. I washed it alone, in cold water, gentle cycle, fearing it might shed and it did, a little. What happened was that it doesn't necessarily shed, but the blanket itself keeps all the shedding and there are areas that you have to pull off, because it's all lumpy. I tried using a lint roller and the vaccuum cleaner brush nozzle to get it all off. I finally had to sit with my large hair brush and brush both sides of the blanket for about an hour to get it smooth down again and get all the excess material off. It is back to being smooth and even softer than before, Hoepfully that doesn't happen every time I was it, otherwise it will probably disappear at some point!

The teal color is slightly greener than the photo shows, but not a lot. It's super soft and the 50x60 version is the perfect size for one person to bundle up on the couch in. (If you want it to cover two people, definitely opt for the larger one.) We liked the first one so much, I would up buying four -- one for each family member!

Alright, so I haven't washed this yet and don't plan to for a while, so I don't know how it holds up when washed. It's super fluffy and you can smooth down parts and fluff up others to play with how the color appears. To clarify if it's laid flat its a shinyish blue and a dark blue when you stroke it the other way. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the static electricity. This thing could probably power a small light bulb with all the static it generates. I do like it and it meets the reasons I bought it (as a stress reliving fluffy thing) so I'm pleased with it. I might even get a larger size cause it's a bit small for what I wanted.

The reviews complaining about the value confuse me... It's very soft, light, shimmery and warm. I can't imagine what more someone could want from a throw blanket for under $20. I've washed mine a few times, and haven't experienced the shedding issue. Maybe it's the detergent (Biokleen) I use? Either way, I drag it around the house like Linus. My cats like to sleep on it. Prepare to sweat a bit if you do the same- these fabrics aren't very breathable.These pictures are fuzzy (iPad) but they show how one side clumps/piles a bit after being washed. Not a dealbreaker.

It's as soft as you con imagine, but the color isn't dark teal as is pictured in the dark lighting from the merchant's picture- it's light turquoise... I'm attaching a photo so you can see. The reviewer who says you should repackage it if giving it as a gift is correct; the one I ordered for someone arrived in a tightly tied lump. But the blanket itself is soft and touchable. Very soft, really. but it is DEFINITELY not the color shown here. If you're giving it as a gift, have it sent to you first so you can repackage if necessary, and so you can see the color.It's definitely a very soft, fuzzy blanket. The person I bought it for really loved the texture.

I bought this blanket because my workplace is generally kept at about 2 degrees Kelvin, so something is necessary to ward off frostbite. This throw serves that purpose well enough. It's light and soft but very warm. The color is pretty, though a bit more intensely purple than I was anticipating.The biggest drawback is that it sheds quite a lot so I end up with a fine coating of purple fuzz on my clothes. Since I have two cats and a dog I sticky roller myself about 5 times a day anyway so it's not a real inconvenience, but I can see it being one for others.Also, other reviews mentioned that it doesn't hold up to washing well and I imagine that that's true. It doesn't feel very durable at all, but given my useage I don't anticipate having to wash it often.In the end, I think it's an okay purchase. I don't regret getting it because it's doing its job, but if the shedding gets worse or the blanket starts to fall apart I will replace it with something else.

As others noted, the throw supplied is not as depicted or described. It is herringbone, not chevron. Plus the color is gray and white, rather than the taupe pictured. I should have believed the other reviewer, but thought maybe they received the wrong item. It serves the purpose, is soft, and the CAT LOVES it, getting his claws stuck from kneading it. Pretty thin, but again, it works and I'm not terribly picky, since cat snags make me replace throws fairly often. Thus, I wish I had paid less than $17, which I could have done at Costco or Wal-Mart.

I have a plush fleece blanket that I love, but my husband has adopted it as his own so I had to find another one. This one is still soft but its really thin and not what I would consider as plush. The medallion color is definitely light green and white not taupe and white like the picture. I didn't care about the color and opened it. I only realized how thin and cheap it felt once it was opened and now I can't send it back otherwise I would. I'm sure we will use it, but its disappointing and not what I wanted.

I love the size of this blanket the most!! It is very soft but is on the thin side for me. My kids love it and I like the pattern and colors however I probably would not buy it again. I can get better quality for the price at big box stores.

Color was somewhat different that what is shown. More of a slate blue than grey. Was really looking for a grey throw, but it is still pretty.

The chevron print I ordered turned out blue and white and the lines were not straight. It was not the same as the picture. It's still a good purchase so I am keeping it.

I bought the Northpoint Cashmere Plush Velvet Blanket because it looked beautiful and soft to the touch. It is indeed a beautiful blanket and I love the burgundy, which is true to color. The only problem is, when I washed the blanket it developed large 'pills' all over it. I spent at least an hour picking the pills off it. It wasn't as bad as some reviewers have reported in that it hasn't left bits of itself all over the house or on clothing but because of this issue, I can't recommend this blanket.

Silky, silky, silky--delicious to snuggle with. And then you arise with blue lint EVERYWHERE--this after two washings.

Okay, but the quality is iffy, dried it on no heat, but is off kilter, not squared.

Wasn't a true color match for what I need. More a true green. Fabric was nice and soft. I returned this and ordered another color from another vendor.

It's not a true teal like we needed. It's got a little more of a green hue to it, but it is soft and comfortable. Just a tad smaller than expected, but totally worth it.

So like allllll the other reviews, washing ruins it. I know it says to wash before use, but knowing it'd be bad I didn't. Loved it for almost a month before regrettably I had to wash it because in my mind, a month of not washing bedding is...bleh. No matter if you use the every now and then or not, gotta wash it. I followed instructions, buuuuuut it balled up terribly. A friend suggested I wash it again. And again. Third time was not a charm. I have used an electric shaver, a bristle brush, the piling does not go away. I will never wash it again. Terrible terrible terrible shedding of the balls of lint. All over the flippin place. I swear, a cheap blanket I got from walmart did not pill this much. It was so soft, so terribly disappointed. But I have to give it three stars for what it used to be, before the washing happened...

I love the pattern on this blanket, exactly as described and it's very soft. But, this blanket is also very thin and leaves fuzz everywhere. I had planned on returning it, but my dog has taken a liking to it and has wrapped herself up in it like a burrito... so I guess it's hers now?

Were listed as beige or taupe. When I bought them, but They are grey & white! I loved them at first as they were & still are super soft BUT when they are washed they shed horrible, little fuzz balls that stick to everything!!!

The blanket I recieved is not the blanket I ordered. Thought I would be receiving a white and taupe colored blanket with a chevron pattern and instead I got a white and gray blanket with a strange checkered pattern. It is also very thin, not at all what I expected for the price:( I am very disappointed.

Well, instructed to wash prior to use...I have washed it gently twice and it continues to shed!I take the blanket from the dryer and LARGE CHUNKS of fuzz /product continues to fall from the product...shake the blanket and a cloud of"PLUSH" begins to fill the area...how unacceptable and how cheaply made this blanketSoon, I will have nothing left to place on the bedThis is such a waste of money and quite a disappointmentDo not waste your moneyI would not recommend this product to anyone for any use.

it will destroy a load of laundry if you wash it with other things. I'm still picking pills off of shirts that happened to be in that load, months and many washes later. it's also much more of a royal blue than photo implies.

I'm so sad, wanted a TEAL blanket and that is what I ordered. I received a color more like Hunter Green. The ribbon tied around the blanket is definitely TEAL - why isn't the blanket? I am going to leave it in the room for 24 hr to be sure it's not just a lighting issue. Will probably have to return them...so bummed because the blankets are SUUUPER soft and cuddly! I got two.

The blanket was so soft but the blanket fabric is everywhere! It's on my sheets, on my clothes, even in my hair, it's pretty terrible. I'm really bummed about it because I really needed a good blanket. I even read the instructions and the reviews that were posted here and specifically washed it with the careful instructions. Still super bummed. Don't buy this blanket if you want it all over you.

For $17 I really expected a lot better. The color is great (a very lovely deep red), but the "plush" and the "velvet" are just your regular run of the mill quality throw. Not thick or "plush" in the true sense of the word. We kept it, but bought two really plush, dense and larger throws from our local club warehouse for $10 each. If you are looking for color...this is it. If you are looking for a really thick and decadent throw...this is not it.

Softest blanket but doesn't not wash well with other towels/blankets. We've washed this several times now and it doesn't pill or leave any wear or damage to the actual blanket but if you wash it with other towels or blankets, it will leave colored fluff all over the other items in the wash. So we just wash it by itself now. Still a good throw blanket and I LOVE the teal color!***Update 8/10/16After about 3 washes, this blanket just started to shed and pill like crazy. It still is very soft but we can't wash it with anything else, especially towels because it will shed and stick all over them. My husband was pissed when he used a towel after it had been washed with this blanket. He looked like a new character from Sesame Street, covered in bright teal fuzz and it stuck on pretty good when he was wet. I like the blanket but I wouldn't buy again because of this unfortunately.

LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE!!! It is not chevron patterned. Look at my attached picture. Super dissapointed. And did not meet expectations in terms of a plush blanket. They should be much thicker. Why would send someone an item that doesn't match the picture!?!?

I ordered this blanket a month or so ago & loved it. Decided I wanted another one so ordered it again, but this time received something entirely different. It wasn't as high a quality & the color & pattern were totally different. Very annoyed that I wasn't notified that the original was no longer available so I could make the decision if I even wanted it before it was sent to me.

Not the pattern shown. Mine was offset so that the chevrons didn't line up. Kinda defeats the purpose.

They are pilling little white pills ALL OVER the couch & floor no matter how many washes. Now I'm past my return window unfortunately.

Not what I ordered at all. The picture showed a taupe or grey color and the blanket I got was NAVY BLUE. Do not order if you want the color depicted in the picture.

Well I loved it when I got it...perfect color, soft and comfortable after 1 wash. And then...I washed it again. It started to look like it was 10 years old, strange pilling and matted areas...and it started shedding everywhere. It's now in the bottom of the trash can!!! I guess you get what you pay for. I have lots of blanket throws that are furry or fuzzy and I've never had one disintegrate so quickly after washing it.

I ordered 4 of these. After the 3 rd wash ( yes followed all instructions) these started shedding and pilling like crazy! My grandkids love these which was why I ordered coral, burgundy, blue, purple... don't buy these!

The instructions were to wash this before first use. I threw it into my washer with a few towels. This is not a throw...it is a lint factory! My lint trap was overloaded, I had to re-wash the towels because the lint wouldn't come off of them after drying, and I am still finding lint and pills all over my home. Ugh!

This is not velvet, it is simply a microfiber throw. The color is great, it is hard to find a true teal color, but it is just a normal microfiber throw that could be bought anywhere sadly to say. I trusted the description and expected a velvet throw.

I ordered two of these. One burgundy for my daughter's bed, one charcoal for the sofa.I washed and dried the burgundy one first, according to the label instructions. The fabric looked lumpy and there was a ton of fuzz in the lint screen, but my daughter took it to bed.Then I washed and dried the charcoal one. The fabric on that one came out lumpy too. I spent about 3 hours picking off the fuzz. In the mean time, it got all over me.Then I went back to dealing with the burgundy one. It had gotten fuzz all over the sheets and my daughter's clothes. I attempted to run it though the washer and dryer a second time. But it was no better. So again I spent 3 hours picking off fuzz.I'm looking for where I can submit the pictures of the blanket with fuzz, after picking off the fuzz, the huge mound of fuzz, and my daughter covered with fuzz. But I don't see it in this form.Long story short: I wouldn't have bought these if I knew they were badly made and shed fibers. I've had a lot of similar blankets that didn't do this, and I can only guess it's a matter of how the fibers are woven.

Beautiful blanket.Sheds like no tomorrow.Washed and dried it TWICE.Made in China crap is shameful.Sending back for full refund!!
