The device works great on its own. Just some technical difficulties to work out.
April 26, 2016
The collar works great. The only issue that I have had was the charger one plugged in created a short in the collar. I let the manufacturer no and they issued a refund. My dog learned really quick with the color on.The only issue I would hope would be fixed is the issue I ran into charging it and the device shorting out. I am going to re-purchase this collar because it works so well. I understand that some products have defects and I'm not stressed about it.

Absolutely amazing. Easy to use and charge lasts for over a week. From the first time I put it on my dog that would not stop barking at anything and everything he got his first response to now 2 months later I dont have to worry about my neighbors complaining. It is very durable and water resistant for my water loving furry child. It is everything promised in the product info.
Great for barking dogs in apartments
March 31, 2016
It actually worked on my dogs, they were barking all the time. I only used the shock setting a few times, on low - I have a 20lbs and a 30lbs dog. Once they figured out the shock comes after the vibrate I only had to use the vibrate setting.
More expensive, but worth it. Packs a whallop!
March 16, 2016
This was our second bark collar. Unlike the first (much cheaper) bark collar we got, this one does not go off every time she scratches herself (this one has variable sensitivity and variable shock voltage), and she can't just ignore it and keep barking (plenty of juice).Be careful with this one - it packs a whallop, but you have to get it tight to get good contact. I kept turning the settings up higher because it didn't seem to be working, then I tightened down the strap, after which she barked once and then made a fair impression of a dog being electrocuted to death (my wife, not usually given to dramatics, shrieked "It's killing her!" and tackled her to stop her hysterics and pull it off.Now we keep both sensitivity and voltage at a very low setting, and it's plenty. She can still whine and scratch, but she can't wake the neighbors in the middle of the night anymore, for which I am sure they are grateful.

This bark collar works great. Have a German short hair pointer who decided to bark at anything when an older dog was put down. Gave her time to adjust but she continued the behavior. Put the tone and shock on the lowest level and she immediately got the message. After one week we are on vibrate only! I think we could put it on her without turning it on! She also seems less anxious when she is roaming our large yard. Received the product quickly and would recommend to anyone whose dog is annoying the neighborhood!
This product worked great for my dog
November 4, 2015
This product worked great for my dog. I love the convenience of having a rechargeable bark collar. I tried battery operated ones, but they would die around every two weeks. My neighbors were beginning to complain, and my dog was beginning to become the neighborhood nuisance with his excessive barking. We have now calmed down his barking drastically, and my dog still knows that we love him.I received this product for a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Great product, Lots of features, Good transmit range. Worth well more that the price.
October 4, 2015
I am very impressed with this product. I'm pretty skeptical about anything electronic for less than $40. I'm especially skeptical when it is a product that is dealing with pets because there always seems to be a premium price for quality products that work. This isn't a no bark collar (it doesn't shock when the dog barks) but it works well to train a dog to not bark. You can use this collar to train your dog to stop doing anything negative; chasing cats, running out the door, crapping in the neighbors yard...you name it. It has three modes for training; beep, vibration and shock. This is a great combination of features for successful training. Once the dog associates the beep or vibration with a shock, the shock probably won't be needed anymore. About the shock...HOLY COW. I test stuff on myself before I put it on any of my animals. It has a setting of 1 to 100 and at 1 it is feels like the shock you get from one of those peizo fire starters (like in a lighter or the electric spark that starts your gas grill) at 4 its definitely very uncomfortable and it made my leg muscles jump..LOL. I don't know what 100 feels like but it will definitely get a dogs attention :) The vibration is also adjustable from 1 to 100 and the range on this thing is awesome. I had my girlfriend sit at the far side of my house while I went to the mail box (on the street) and it received the signal with no problem. So, the signal had to go through a couple of walls which is much more than will be needed the next time my stupid dog decides to go on a backyard barking rampage at 2AM. I have no had a chance to check out battery life yet. I will post a follow up after I have spent more time with the unit. So far I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this to anyone needing an affordable training tool.FYI: The collar that comes with this is 14" up to 23" and the device itself will take up about 4.5" So measure your dogs collar and if ranges between 10.5" and 18.5" then this should work nicely. The kit also includes longer prongs (shock prongs) for dogs with longer hair and tool to tighten them. The tool also has a place you stick the shock prongs into to test if it's working (a light will illuminate as it shocks). These guys really thought of everything and put in the kit.KIT contents:2 shock/vibrate modules2 collars2 bags of multiple length shock prongs1 transmitter1 tool with shock tester1 charger (wall plug with USB out)1 charging cable (it's USB so you can use a phone power supply for a phone and even charge it in your car)1 manual (easy to follow)1 warranty card
Great Tool for Training!

This product works great! Its loaded with features and for the price its a bargain. I bought the 2 collar system and I've yet to be disappointed. The collars have 3 functions; Beep Mode, Vibration Mode, and Static function Mode. The beep mode does not have an adjustable volume; just one loud beep. Both vibration and static modes have levels 0-100. The kit comes with a radio transmitter, 2 collars, 2 static receivers, a charger, static testers, spare static nodes, and instruction manual. I accidentally shocked myself on level 10 on one of the collars and let me tell you, please be careful! It was enough to get the point across. My dog is a 4 year old half german shepherd and half bloodhound mix breed. And he loves to bark. I've tried many things to reduce his barking but this system has been most effective. Now when I say stop he usually stops within 2 or 3 barks. I've found that escalating the punishment works best. Here's what I mean. I recommend using the static shock as last resort of punishment. This way your dog will not get use to the static shock. I first use verbal commands to ensure he understands that he needs to stop. If he doesn't respond to that I start with first mode on the remote which is beep function. I hold it down for a few seconds while saying the stop command. Usually he listens and stops at this point. But if he doesn't I switch to vibration function. I hold that down for a few seconds again and say stop. If that doesn't work I switch to the static function and say top again. On the static function I have yet to exceed level 10 mainly because he usually responds well before getting to that point. And I've found that level 10 is more than enough stop him.I strongly urge you to use this method. Escalation will ensure that your dog will respond sooner than later. This also helps prevent overusing that static shock. Also, please be careful. Don't make the same mistake I made. I accidentally shocked myself because I was careless. Don't let it happen to you. Before you use the system fully charge everything. The batteries are lithium therefore do not use it before charging and do not fully drain them either. Overall, if used correctly, this is a great system.I recommend it.
This remote collar is just as good as the professional ones
August 27, 2015
This remote collar is just as good as the professional ones. We had originally had a very expensive training collar that we had to return back to our trainer so we needed to replace it. We saw this and it's worked like a charm. What I really like about it is it has several settings for strength of the shock and vibrations. It goes all the way up to 100 on the shock and vibrations. We have a great dane/pit mix and level 15 is plenty strong enough for him. I really like the fact that I can recharge it. Perry has had it on for a full 24 hours and it still doesn't need charged. I really should have bought the second collar for my other dog, but I plan on purchasing one soon. I added some pics of it so you can see just how big of a dog he is and the size relation of the collar on him. The nylon collar was also plenty long enough to adjust to his big neck.
This collar was the answer....Good dog

I am amending my previous review. The first collar ordered did not work, I returned it and wrote a review giving it one star. I received an email from the Hisgadget Customer Satisfaction Team (Amy) asking me to "Please give them a chance to make it right. " They were willing to stand behind their product and were concerned about customer service. Really?! So rare these days! They sent me a new collar. The collar works perfectly and has been the answer to getting my dog to stop his split personality behavior. I had tried a regular collar, a harness, a choke collar, all to no effect. I have a 10 month schnauzer that is a sweet heart until he sees another dog, then he snarls, lunges, barks....pretty embarrassing when people cross the street when they see you coming. Nothing I did even got his attention. Got the collar, set the vibrate on 10, the shock on 2...that's all. I tried the shock on myself first. I don't want to hurt my dog, I just wanted to get his attention. One week, GOOD DOG. I had to charge the collar, left it at home plugged in, walked the dog and same old crazy, so the collar has been the answer. Don't hesitate to try this collar. Thank you Hisgadget (Amy)for your customer support and your excellent collar.
Not for the Faint of Heart

I have a medium sized Pug who thinks she owns the world. However, with this little bad boy, she is knocked down a few notches from her perch on her high horse. The Esky® Rechargable LCD Remote Control Dog Training Shock Collar (Upgraded 2015 model) is easy to set up and even easier to use. The products have rechargeable Lithium Batteries in both the hand held remote transmitter and the collar mounted receiver. The shock and vibration intensities both go from one to 100, meaning that you can control the level of "correction" your chosen pet will receive. Not wanting to shock or vibrate my Pug without knowing how it feels, I tested the vibration and shock corrections on myself. I tested the vibration all the way from one to 100 and can recommend around 30 to 40 be set as the level for a Pug sized dog (she weighs 26 lbs). I tested the shock correction at one, 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90 and 100 and can tell you that the maximum correction I set this to, for my Pug, is 25. This thing will hurts, like real bad, at settings from 60 to 100. The product does not supply shock or vibration "corrections" on it's own, i.e. you have to trigger/push the remote buttons to activate the both features. This unit is not designed to activate a shock or vibration "correction" if your dog barks. It will only activate upon a person pushing the "correction" button on the remote transmitter, so if you're looking for a bark deterent in which you do not have to monitor the unwanted behavior fairly closely, then I suggest you look elsewhere. This item is powerful, it works and it is not for the faint of heart.
Good product for a medium sized lab
May 26, 2015
Have had it about a week so far. And so far it has really worked well. My dog, a medium sized lab, has become way more obedient. We can actually bring him out in the front now without him running off. I started with him wearing it in the house for about four to five days. It worked great then too. After a few days of him understanding he will get vibrated or shocked if he gets out of line, he behaved really well. I then took him out front with very little behavior trouble. For people who think this will hurt the dog, it doesn't. It just stuns their attention, which they don't like, but they need to understand who's in control. Please remember that in order for this to work, a bond, trust, and understanding of who's in control needs to be established first.

great item
works as advertised, results how ever may vary.
May 3, 2016
product worked as described, so i cant fault it. unfortunately it did not help in training my dog to not bark after several weeks of use. the belt can be improved if you tighten the studs too tightly it actually forces out the belt and can come off the shocker but at the same time you cant leave it too slack because then the studs just come off after a while on their own. i tried using washers but the screw tops are not long enough to accommodate the thickness of the belt and the washers, and these were not thick washers. maybe you'll have better luck than i do.
I think it's a good

Solid product. Worked after the first day for my 8 month old Labrador. Only negative I can say is that the device itself does not stay on as well as it should. Other than that, I think it's a good product
This bark collar works great and I love the fact that it is rechargeable

This bark collar works great and I love the fact that it is rechargeable. I had one incident where it started to continually shock my dog, it was set to max sensitivity. I have not had any issues since.
It has a "Vibration Only" setting that in our experience works better than the shock
December 13, 2015
Yes this unit works. The first shock scared the hell out him but got his attention. It has a "Vibration Only" setting that in our experience works better than the shock. We've used the vibration only mode a total of three times and we no longer need the collar. Be conservative with the shock setting or better yet just go with the vibration only mode. This may require a bit longer to train but you'll feel a lot better about using the collar. This is a really effective unit and it delivered results as promised.
Adjustable, multi levels of sensitivity, Will vibrate but won't shock
November 26, 2015
It's a nice color and easy to adjust to almost any dog. Once the collar size is a digested to your dog you can cut off the remaining piece so it doesn't hang. It seems to hold a charge for a good while, as long as it's not constantly scaring your dog. my dog isn't much of a barker except when people come near the door so his battery tends to last longer than a dog that is a chronic barker. It has two types of dials, a sensitivity one and an intensity one with 10 levels on each one which make it a tad confusing to choose the right setting.Although it says it shocks, I have yet to feel it or get it to do it. I've tried all types of variations on the settings and can get it to vibrate but not shock, which the vibration scares my dog on its own.I do wish It had a remote control so I could control on demand training. If you want vibration training only then this collar will work well. If you have any questions not covered in my review please feel free to ask. 😊Received product in exchange for honest review.

I have a 1 year old male boxer and a very stubborn 2 years old female boxers. They used to escape and run around the neighborhood and taking them to the park or for a walk without a leash could only happen in my wildest dreams. Not anymore, I bought this product in November and my dogs have changed even though I only use it when I take them to the park. Now, they walk unleashed from the house to the park and they fetch and play as much as they want and I don't have to worry about them running to the street or disobeying anymore. The best part if that I only have to give them a warning now !Thank you for this awesome product!PS: This product will be perfect if there was a button for each option instead of having to click on the Mode button several times. I felt that it takes to long to go to the option I want and in the meanwhile my dog was getting farther and farther away. I also would love a different light color for the second channel just to make sure I am not using it on the wrong dog.

January 4, 2017
These dog collars have totally changed our life with our pups. Our dogs would take off as soon as we opened the door and we were always having to be careful about having people over because they would just jet out the door every time it was opened. After two days with these collars we have been able to take our dogs out to the bathroom in our backyard (that does not have a fence) without a leash! It makes caring for our dogs so easy. The battery life on the collar is pretty impressive. We only have to charge the collars after about a week and a half of wear. The remote needs a charge about every 2 weeks. We did rate this as 4 stars because the charger occasionally has a problem plugging in correctly and staying in. This could be a user error though. The last two times I've used the charger to charge them up its worked great though. Great product at a great price.

April 1, 2016
The built in, rechargeable batteries in both components plus the automatic turn off features are huge improvements over previous models which used primary cells and had to be switched on and off manually. Batteries in both transmitter and receiver last a long time between recharging. On the downside, the receiver slips off the strap around the dog's neck very easily. Slots in the strap loops which were intended to make it easier to put the receiver on the strap or collar make it far too easy for it to slip off. Adding a tie wrap or metal clips in the strap slots is necessary to avoid loosing the receiver from an active dog. The advertised 330 yd range is a bit optimistic at best. Under near perfect conditions, I find the reliable working range to be closer to 330 ft. That said, it's a good dog training aid for the price and the strap problem can be easily fixed by the user. One other minor design issue is the "100 step" intensity control provided to adjust the vibrator or electric shock intensity. It takes far too long to change intensity by clicking the side buttons. About 4 steps would be adequate and would allow much faster changes. Better yet would be separate buttons of the front panel for mild, medium and strong levels. When working with an active dog in field conditions. it's very difficult to keep an eye on a dog, walk or run and read tiny print or symbols on a screen at the same time. Changing from mild to strong shock needs to be immediate to be effective and shouldn't require lots of button pushing and trying to read fine print. By the time the user can change from mild to strong, the dog can be out of sight and out of range.
Training collar for Westie
March 23, 2016
We just started using this but so far it is working well. We have a 25lb Westie that likes to bark at everyone walking by so we need to break him of the habit. The unit is lightweight and our dog doesn't seem to notice, or care, that he's wearing it. I tried level 3 (out of 100) on myself and it got my attention so you won't need to go very high to get you dog to stop. The collar was a little on the big side so you have to squeeze two layers into the side tabs which is difficult but doable. The unit seems tricky to get out of sleep mode so we need to play with it more. I wanted use the beep only and nothing happened so I had to cycle thru all the modes before I got it to work on vibrate. That's too long when you want to make an immediate correction. The transmitter is small and fit in your hand/pocket easily which will be good for walks. There's even a small LED light on top that you can use at night. This was my first purchase of a training collar so for the price I have no complaints.
Just needs an app, then it would be perfect.
March 2, 2016
My dog (a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix) has been bothering neighbors with his loud, frequent barking. Any time someone walks by our house, he goes crazy. I love the options to beep or vibrate with this collar, and I only switch it to shock when he really won't stop. We only have the shock at level 1 and it does the trick, I don't know why you would need 100 levels. Mostly using the beep and vibrate, he is doing so much better! Whenever family or friends come by, they immediately notice and comment on his improved behavior. He still barks, but now just two or three barks before getting quiet. He also has a habit of running and jumping, pushing off the side of our house to get higher. He has done it so much, he punched a hole in our siding. I've started using the collar whenever I hear him hit the house, and he's doing much better in that area, too. I only wish we'd had this collar before he punched the hole! Now, if only the collar could be controlled by an app on my phone. It's a little annoying to keep track of the remote. Otherwise, no complaints.
Good collar but shock is too strong - stick to the vibrate and beep
December 7, 2015
First, the collar: It easily fit my large dog. I used the short prongs for my short haired dog. I only use it for 15-20 minutes a day for our walk. The remote: Back light works fine. Beep is not loud, but good enough to get the dogs attention. Vibration is good, fine at 10, maybe too strong at 20. Shock is in my opinion out of control strong. With the setting at 1 I could shock my hand but I could not think of putting it near my neck. My dog will never have shock used on her. I will coat the prongs with rubber as soon as I can get it at the store. On day 1 I used vibrate on 20, it was too much, next day dropped it to 10 but she still acts like it was shock. Now I only use the beep. Yes, just the beep and she pays more attention to me and if a dog or cat distracts her I give her a beep and she leaves them alone. She stays closer to me and walks next to me without a leash after only 2 weeks. I am deducting an egg because the shock should be much weaker, also there should have been a switch to turn off the shock so that I don't give her one by accident. As for battery, I only charged it once in 2 weeks. And - when I pick up the unit, I press the mode button and then press the launch button. This connects and tests the mode and you are ready to go.

Did not work for my dog, although his bark is very high-pitched, so that might be why.

Worked good but dog didn't like it at all bit me pretty good when it went off and he was yelping and wouldn't stop had it on 2 which is the lowest setting and he weighs 25 lbs had to put on vibrate after that and wasn't very affective
Fair. Pay more for better if you can.
February 18, 2016
Great concept...trying to train our dogs not to bark but can't always be present in the back yard to use an e-collar so thought this would be great. Want them to bark if there's a 'problem' but not to bark at the trash truck or the neighbors....not sure if it will keep them from barking at all?? But, one collar (we ordered 2) works and the other doesn't. We are going to have to return one. They are okay for the price. If you really want to be sure you have a quality item you might check out others and pay a bit more to be sure. Hate to hassle with returns!!!!!

not big enough for a great dane
Maybe it's just my dog.
February 2, 2016
This is tough to rate. I have a small dog and those are always the hardest to find effective collars for, it seems. We tested it on ourselves and it worked and we even saw the green light come on when she barked. Barking decreased the first two days but then she was back to normal. We made sure it was charged and tried different settings but it seems as though our crazy little dog adjusted and stopped caring. We were grateful and relieved to receive a refund without any issue.

January 31, 2016
I bought this for my maltipoo who barks a lot at every little noise she hears. My mistake was that I had put the dial all the way to 7 the first time I used it. The problem was it didn't vibrate or do anything after she barked. It vibrated/shocked when she was shaking her body trying to get rid of it on her neck. She shrieked really loud I got really scared for her. After that she's just quieter and calmer but looked scared. I gave her a few days of rest and put it back to about 1or 2. Almost same thing happens. Sometimes it would vibrate when she barks but sometimes would only vibrate when she's shaking her body/face area. But overall it calmed her down and not barking too much. Before she would bark continuously now probably one or two times only when she barks at something or someone.

good product, too heavy for small dogs.
April 18, 2017
I should have bought a different size from another brand. My dogs are 10 lbs and 16 lbs. These are a little too heavy for their necks. the settings go from 0 - 100 for vibration and shock. Our little dogs only need it on 5 for it to be effective, so it is plenty strong enough for any dog. The beep sound is what we use most of the time anyways. We need to charge them every couple of weeks.
Great training concept, and wonderful customer service.
July 4, 2016
I was very disappointed with my first trial of this product because one of the receivers NEVER worked but arrived with a funny rattle inside. The other receiver worked well for about three months, but as soon as it got damp at all, it quit as well. The dog responded well to the corrections, so I know that I want a correction collar similar, but I wanted better quality. To my surprise, when I posted a review with my complaint, I was rather quickly contacted by a customer service representative, Amy, who inquired about my problems with the purchase and then took steps to correct them. Very impressive customer service! Amy sent me a return label for the first set, which I returned, and then she sent me another set. The second set seems to be working well, thus far. However, I want to use the product for a couple of weeks before I make a final determination as to the overall quality of the product, as opposed to the very impressive customer service.
You get what you pay for

I've updated this to three stars only because the company did reach out on their own initiative and sent me a replacement remote. However, they have since HOUNDED me about the new remote and this stupid review. I really do appreciate their efforts to make things right. Even if the up/down buttons work on the new remote, their are still design features, that for us personally, we would do different if the design was left completely up to us. But of course it is not. I have to say, I'm starting to feel stalked by this company's persistent efforts to get me to change this review. Leave me alone already. You're making me sorry I bought your product or wrote a review. And now you're making me stubborn and I will not remove this review. But I have upgraded it one star. The collar concept works great for the dog we bought it for. We have seen a vast improvement in her behavior. But this one is clunky to operate. The up/down buttons don't always work - they'll only go in one direction. So to change a setting, you have to cursor all the way through (0-100). That is ANNOYING. It also needs better display and function buttons to move between sound, vibrate and shock. Especially since the idea is to play the sound in between the higher levels of correction (vibrate and shock). (we're thinking a green (sound), yellow (vibrate) and red (shock) would be handy) We'll be looking at higher end models. I guess you get what you pay for.
May want to test on yourself first.
January 23, 2016
This collar came to me as advertised. Simple enough to set up and tested all the functions which passed without a hitch. I put in on my 50lb dog and started with the beep function, which he could've cared less about. Next was the vibrate function. Nice, he immediately dropped my wife's sock in total disbelief. Next was outside for some more training. With distractions around, the vibrate mode was o.k but there wasn't enough difference between lets say 10, 40, and 70 settings. So I put it on shock mode and started at 000 to get a baseline. Then I set it to 001 and he yelped in pain. Wow I thought, It scared me. So I took it off and put it in my hand and hit it. Holy cow. way too intense for proper training. Something tells me that just like the vibrate function, there isn't enough discrepancy between the settings, but I wasn't going to find out on me. There were no other reviews regarding this situation that I saw so i'm sure it's just this one, obviously not the majority. I only wrote this review to advise people that you may want to test these collars on yourself first. My dog's fine and while I was packaging it up to send back he was all excited when he saw it. He thought we were going back outside for more training. Can't wait to get another.
Stops my dog from chasing the cats! Teaching her to follow verbal commands like "go home" and "Stay" and "down"
October 21, 2015
on 40-50 setting this collar Stops my dog and gets her to listen to instructions, on less she just shakes her head and keeps tormenting the cat.. We use verbal cue and the sound setting and then if needed zap setting. She is learning to stop with the verbal cue alone or just the sound only have to zap if she's really "on the zoom" after my cats or chickens. My puppy is big (Anatolian ) -already 64 lbs. and less than 5 months old, kept in a pen and received no instructions at all before we got her a month ago, into everything and listens to no one, runs off with stuff to chew up and thinks it's a game of chase when you try to get things back. This has stopped her in her tracks from chasing the cats (who do not want to play with her!) and chewing up things. I really like the new LED light on the collar as we can see where she is even when she's quiet when we let her out to potty at night or to see at a glance if she's sneaking into the garbage can in the house at night. Keeps her safe when we are out walking as she can run around us but not "out of bounds" and we know she will not jump on strangers for petting. Great product! Grace is nearly 90 pounds now -on our second soon to be third?collar as they work great for a month or two then just occasionally,or not at all. Thoughtit was an anomaly that the first one started to not work sometimes but now the second collar we bough has given up working well, bought Dec and ,17 days to late to return can't find any means of getting the warranty to replace or fix it. Downgrading my review to 3
Good product but not very long lasting
July 13, 2015
Worked very well and helped to calm down our overly excited rescue Golden Retriever within a few minutes. The options to use a tone reminder, vibration reminder and ultimately if needed a mild shock reminder are all able to be adjusted up or down which is great as I'm sure each dog is different. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is after a few weeks of having it, the receiver began to act glitchy and the charge isn't holding as well or as long. It seems to have a limited life span. each charge is lasting less and less and it needs to be reset very often now. It seems I may have to look for another product soon as I think this one will not last much longer. At the price I paid I would have liked to have gotten longer than a few weeks of good working order from it. Other than that its a good product at a decent price point.

Ineffective Bark Collar
June 5, 2016
I have four dogs, but one of them is a chronic barker. And so I purchased this collar thinking this would correct the barking issue. After my barker wore it, it didn't appear to do anything. I recieved a letter from a neighbor who complained about the barking while I was at work. Therefore, I feel the collar is ineffective.Unfortunately, I cut the collar for the sizing purpose, so I was not able to returned it.
( Needs a much better design to ensure it will not fall off
April 21, 2016
I have had this for about a week and the bark battery part is NOW lost. Most collars the battery part is connected through the collar. I know because I have had four shock collars over the years. This does not and the connectors loosened after being really tight against the collar and the bark batter fell off and is lost somewhere in the yard/house ;( Needs a much better design to ensure it will not fall off.
Love the idea of a rechargeable dog collar I spend ...
March 8, 2016
Well it is rechargeable in the battery does seem to last long time at least long enough for us to go out for a shopping trip it doesn't seem to work though and the voltage is very sensitive. I tried using it on myself and when I did get it to activate it would shock my arm into Oblivion even on a very low setting. I finally got of adjusted to a point where it was just a mild tingle. But I seriously doubt my dog barking will activate it. Love the idea of a rechargeable dog collar I spend a fortune on batteries but I'm just going to stick with my old one

We got this a few days ago and it seems to rarely work on my dog, when i try to test the collar it dont seem to test active when i try.
Works but not well made
January 20, 2016
Although it seems to help with the barking, the prongs, which are not part of the device (they screw on and hold the device in place on the collar) unscrew themselves pretty quickly. I learned this the hard way and now have a small piece of metal someplace in my house for my kitten to find and eat. Additionally, the way I discovered it was missing is that the device was going off by itself without the dog barking, hanging by one prong. Thankfully it was set to vibrate and not shock. So it works, if the prongs don't detach on their own.
Don't bother with this one.
January 12, 2016
I love that this is rechargeable, and adjustable for just about any size dog. But either it doesn't get a good connection, doesn't work, or my dog doesn't care, but whatever the reason, it does not deter her from barking all night long. I'm getting a muzzle instead.

no Shock
September 21, 2016
I found the device to be helpful training my Boston Terrier to not be so aggressive with other dogs. But after 2 1/2 months the shock feature just stopped working. I only had it set on 1 and my dog responded to it. the vibrate feature still worked but even at the 100 setting it didn't phase him. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent out a replacement. It worked great for 2 months and now the shock again just stopped working. Kudos to the seller for their part in trying to satisfy their customer, but this product just isn't built to last. I am looking for an alternative and will not purchase the Esky brand again
NOT waterproof!
January 12, 2016
Purchased this for 1 of 3 dogs who likes to swim. Product Description verbatim is "2015 Upgraded LED Backlight] Esky 330 Yards Remote Training E-collar EC-916 Rechargeable Waterproof Dog Training Collar with Safe Beep, Vibration, Shock Collar for 1 Medium or Large Dogs", yet when reading the owners manual, it clearly states water resistant, suggesting NOT to submerge. At least this one synced easily and correctly with 4/4 functions working. I also purchased the Esky Backlight 330YD Remote set for 2 dogs and NEITHER of those have full functionality. Spent 45 min of my day trying to sync and got one to work, but then both lost the signal almost immediately. I won't be keeping this one to find out if it is going to work due to the misinformation on waterproofing. I'd do more research.
good quality and value for a few months....
January 4, 2016
So far this product has been great. I like the multi functionality of it (light, sound, vibrate, shock). I mainly just need to use vibrate unless my dog starts digging and doesn't notice the vibrate. The shock level is intense. A shock of 3 is really all that is needed. I cannot see going up much higher for most dogs. The collar is holding up well so far and was good for the price.Edit: it's been almost six months and both the receivers stopped working. One quit about two months back but I thought, hey I have another one so no worries. Then the other died. Worthless to me now and I cannot even return them. Started off great and worked well. It helped to train my dog but now I don't have it and he is now testing his boundaries again.
Redesign please!
December 3, 2015
The concept of this product is great! I certainly do not want to shock my pet, but the vibration keeps her in line especially if we are walking with other people. However, the main design flaw in this product is the way that the device hooks onto the collar. It is very difficult to get The device that syncs to the remote onto the collar. I have even used duct tape wants to give it extra security and not fall off. To actually sync it to the remote you have to hit the reset button, and remove the device partway from the collar. This is very inconvenient, especially in 25° weather with gloves on and frozen hands. Takes quite a long time. Add fake fingernails to the mix and you have a real pain in the butt! I have to reset my remote to the collar at least once on a 2 mile walk. Sad. Because it is so hard to get on correctly it came off while walking, and I did not notice until another mile had passed! Had to retrace all of my steps. On a sidenote I had to change out the ring that holds the leash because it was such a cheap piece of plastic my 65 pound dog chased a bird and ripped clean away from me. I am lucky we were not by cars and she has good knowledge of commands. I have contacted the company in hopes of a redesign because it really is a good concept... You just have to wonder if it's not worth $20 more for one better designed. While customer service was kind about giving me a replacement, they did not seem to care about the issues.
Inconsistent operation
November 19, 2015
I really wanted to like this. This is an upgraded one from the one we previously purchased and returned (they changed the order of selection of beep, vibrate and shock on this in a more appropriate order). Our dog has a bad habit of running after the kids when they are outside playing, as though they are other dogs. Sometimes she tries to playfully grab their hands and other times she has ran circles around our 3 yr old barking at her. (Our dog by the was just recently turned 1, so she is still a puppy). I bought this to try and correct that issue since she didn't seem to hear me when she got in that play mode. We tried this on vibrate and it appeared to work sometimes. It was hard to tell if or when it was working on the dog, although there were times you could tell it was definitely working because the dog would go and lay down in her crate. I followed all instructions, including charging it before use for so many hours and not letting it over charge. At one point I placed it on the table, on vibrate and began hitting the button. After a few times it would eventually vibrate. Other times you had to hit the button just right. This sort of inconsistency did not help with training the dog. When it did work, it worked great (that's why I gave it two stars). Otherwise, it should work every time you press the button and you also should not have to press the button 'just right'.
Poorly Designed and Poorly Made (However, A+++ Customer Service)
October 16, 2015
UPDATE: The seller's customer service in response to my complaints was terrific. It offered a replacement and then when I had advised that I had already purchased a different replacement collar, provided a refund. Excellent company to deal with and based on their customer service, the collar is worth trying to see if it works for you. This is an inexpensive collar that is poorly designed and made. First, the collar is difficult to get on and off the shock unit that attaches to the collar. This becomes a repeat annoyance because the collar needs to be removed from the unit every time you need to charge it. Second, it is difficult to toggle between the "beep," "vibrate," and "shock" functions because you have to select each function, using the same button, before being able to activate that function. For example, you cannot give a warning "beep" and then immediately "vibrate" or "shock" without pressing the selector button to select a different function. Third and finally, approximately 2 months after we purchased it, the side bracket of the shock unit where the collar attaches to the unit broke. Other than the poor design and construction, it worked quite well. However, there are better (albeit more expensive) choices out there and I would suggest that you purchase them rather than this unit.

Terrible. I feel awful putting it on our dogs
September 10, 2016
I bought this 8 months ago, and paid $40 for it (I must have been insane/desperate). I rotated it between 2 of my 3 dogs to get their fence rushing barking at an elderly (minding his own business) neighbor. I wasn't sure if it was working I didn't test it, but I did put it on low as if used shock collars and beepers and sprays before with mixed results. Their barking calmed down and so I put the collar up. Last month we go new neighbors up the hill, who also have a big dog, and the back and forth barking has has been awful, so I got out the "bad dog collar" again. Well, this junk has twice now, once on each barker, shocked them (70+lbs) so badly they have been off for days, hiding under beds, etc. The first time I thought it was a fluke, it was on setting 3 or 4, not the highest. Anyway, came back here to read reviews to see what I did wrong, and see that it is a POS. I'll be throwing it out tonight. Terrible. I feel awful putting it on our dogs!
THis collar shocks a non barking dog
August 22, 2016
I bought 2 of these collars. One placed on a 4 year old female and one on a 1 year old male. On 2 separate occasions the collars shocked the dogs viciously for what seemed an eternity when they were NOT barking. The first time with the female I wasn't sure what happened because I wasn't in the same room as the dog. I just heard this really loud wailing and by the time I got to the dog was not sure what happened. The dog was actually in her crate when this took place. I took the collar off of her even though I wasn't sure that the collar was the problem. One day later the male dog was relaxing, quiet, not barking, not chewing a bone, just sitting on the floor when suddenly the same type of wailing occurred. He started to run away and began urinating and his fur was coming off. When I was finally able to grab him and take that collar off he had stopped yelping but shook for 30 minutes like I have never seen before. I have used a different brand bark collar before and NEVER had my dog cry over the shock. This should be taken off the market. It is the WORST possible scenario whereby a dog gets shocked when not doing anything wrong. I am going to alsoreport this to AMazon as I would like a refund.
Collar tried to kill my dog
August 11, 2016
Warning: This product short circuited and randomly started shocking my dog while laying on the floor of a quiet room. As my dog let out the most horrific cry I rushed to rip the collar off her. Even after I had taken it off, the collar continued to shock (I heard the faint noise it makes when shocking). I smelled burning electronics and burnt dog skin afterwards and returned this product.I can not give this product a worse review. What if I was not home to take it off her? A product like this should never fail. It should be taken off Amazon.
Absolute junk!
July 17, 2016
Very displeased with this product! I thought my dog was just stubborn and continued to bark with the collar on and fully charged when actually, after not even a full week of use, my furry family member got shocked from scratching his neck! He didn't even bark! I was hesitant to begin with because of the instructions being broken English (If they can't proofread they're instructions they aren't worth it). I'm really just upset someone would even think to sell a product like this! Some of us treat our pets as family and a slap on the wrists for barking turned out to be a painful "over correction" for scratching his neck.
This product should be illegal!
February 12, 2016
This product was used on a fluffy golden retriever/ huskey mix he is 70+ pounds we used it at a level 3 sensitivity (goes up to 6) and a level 4 voltage (goes up to 7) when he barked at the door bell and the collar let of a shock my dog started screaming bloody murder I have never heard such a awful sound.. It shocked him servel more time because he was screaming the callor sensed it as a bark it has an auto shut off after so many times thank god for that! As we were frantically trying to remove the collar my dog was peeing everywhere and lost control of his bowels and was crapping everywhere. Once we finally got that awful contraption off he ran to the corner and hide for a good hour. Because of loud awful sounds we had animal control called on us! Please tell me why this is something aloud to be sold? Feel like I tortured my dog..
No difference in intensities, too strong for large lab
January 6, 2016
I'm not sure if I received a defective package, but I did not have successful results with this product. I currently have a sporting shock collar for long hikes to take the dog on in case ventures off to far or anything else. She's a large lab (70lb) and on a scale of 1-8, with 8 the most intense, I have the shock at about a 3-4 and it hardly bugs her and I've even tested this on myself to make sure it would not hurt her. I ordered this product to keep her from barking as its automatic and the other one I have is a manual shock, I placed it on her at a 2, one step above Vibrate. I let her outside and she saw a neighbor and began to bark, followed by deathly pleas of help. I had to clue what was going on and removed the collar. I had never seen her in that much pain. I tried it on myself, like I should have done to begin with, and it's a horrendous shock thatleft a mark on my arm, I couldn't imagine let alone on my neck. I tried a few steps higher and it was all the same intensity of a shock. And no this was not the "sensitivity" knob this was the "intensity" knob. I won't use this on her again as it seems to only have ONE intensity for the entire scale of the collar. To be fair I would try a replaceable collar on myself again if it was in fact defective, however, the collar I have has been cut to her neck size so it's no longer returnable. I recommend trying this on yourself before your animal, as I should have.

What a waste of money
June 7, 2017
I bought three of these for my dogs over the last year and a half. I've had this same exact problem with ALL 3 of the collar units, one of the four retaining clips that hold it onto the actual collar bust off. They worked well....but if they can't stay in place then they are worthless. I emailed Esky the first time it happened....they sent me a collar and not the unit. Emailed them again, they sent another collar! Emailed them again, they finally sent a replacement collar unit. Second one went MIA after the clip broke. I seen it kind of dangling on the collar but a few minutes later it was gone. I ordered another one in Mid April of 2017. The collar clip on the unit broke within two weeks. What a waste of money. Cheap Chinese garbage is all these are and I'm pretty sure there's a language barrier with their customer service, at least those that I dealt with. Going to search for a higher quality and more durable unit. My advice is for you to do the same....unless you like throwing money away and/or dealing with customer service reps who have English for a third or fourth language.
I purchased the updated model of this training collar based ...
March 14, 2017
I purchased the updated model of this training collar based on the positive experience we had with the original one. However, this newer model does not work. We have only had it for a few days but have already had a lot of problems with it. First, there is no on/off switch on the receiver and the only way to charge it, is to remove it from the collar. This is inefficient. Second, I have synced the collar with the remote transmitter and sometimes it signals the receiver when a button is pressed and sometimes it does not. This is a major flaw. Third, there is supposed to be a green light on the receive and not once has it turned on. I am very unhappy with the newer model and will be returning it.
Works well for short time.
March 11, 2016
I added silver mark so I can tell which is charger hole versus reset button. Test everytime before putting on. Many times needs to be synched before it'll work. I like charger concept but wish more standard plug but then again small footprint. Just don't loose the cord!Update... This is a late night surprise you missed return date rant after eating $40-50 on these things. I bought this piece of junk August 31st. I see that the return window expired just before the thing broke. The plastic head unit is cheap. The plastic breaks like a candy cane. I can say this because I was a sucker (based on the reviews) and bought 2 of these. I figured the 1st unit must have been user error. The plastic wings that hold the collar on broke off so I just used duct tape. This time, the internal socket for the charger broke on the circuit board. So, unlike the pet safe unit from petsmart that lasted 10 years...... I got cheap and spent $20 twice and now have to go buy a new unit. 3rd time is not so charming.
Not Consistent
March 9, 2016
I really wanted it to work... I tried using it a few times and quit. I have a Labrador and she has already run away a few times while I am pushing the button on the remote without luck. It doesn't work consistently, most of the time there is no response. Not sure it only works directly under the sun because under the trees in my backyard, it doesn't. One thing is for sure, it might work better at a short distance, but it definitely doesn't work at 330yd the company advertises. It needs to be recharged often, battery doesn't last long.Esky LED Backlight Rechargable 330YD Remote Dog Training Shock Collar, Beep Vibration Electronic Electric Collar.
Lasted only a few weeks. Just stopped working.
January 5, 2016
Purchased December 8th, it is January 5th and we figured out this doesn't work anymore. I tried everything. Reset it and synced it, charged both the collar and controller. Neither worked. I am super disappointed, this was a great collar for the few weeks that it did work. Our dog responds better on the vibrate than the shock or beep. I loved that about it.When it did work, The charge seemed to stay quite long, a couple days or so at least. I liked how it was rechargeable rather than having to replace batteries. Would like it better if it gave an indication if the collar was running low on battery. The collar itself has a red button that flashes at all times. The controller has 0-100 settings on all the different training choices. It does come with a 1 year warranty card. I am going to contact them right now to get a refund or something...or maybe mine was a dud, but looking at other reviews this looks common.I don't know why people are changing their reviews of the product to higher stars because they refunded you etc. this makes it VERY hard for a buyer to purchase a good product! That's what the seller reviews are for on your purchases! This is not a good product and should be given the stars to show it, so others don't purchase then have to go through all the hassle!
Updated 2.5.16!! Good, but could improve consistency.
October 16, 2015
UPDATE: The clips that the strap go through are weak and finally broke today, rendering the entire system useless! Not sure I'd buy such a cheap design. This works the majority of the time. On occasion there will be no response to the pushing of the button on the remote. I'd say it works 90% of the time. You definitely need to be in direct line of sight (nothing between the remote and the collar) unless you're fairly close to the collar (say 10-25 feet away), then it may work around a corner. The built-in small flash light is actually very useful when walking at night and seeing what my dog is sniffing at, etc. The modes are easy to adjust. So far, it has been working well in helping to correct undesirable behavior in our 13 week old boxer. The collar supplied was way to big, so I had to modify one I already had, which was easy and has not been an issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for the price.
