The shock collar did and work how it said it ...
December 18, 2016
The shock collar did and work how it said it was supposed to. I did feel a little guilty using it on my dog but it worked really well. I have actually stopped using it since I bought it because I tend to get the buttons Mixed up, that's not any fault of the product itself. But I have it handy in case my doggie decides to get a little crazy again.
Great collar

Great collar! It worked immediately. Can go from sound to vibrate to shock. Shock level goes up to 100 which is insane. I have a 105 pound mastiff and I only used it at level 10 for shock. She hated when it went on bc she knew she had to behave and couldn't be bull headed as mastiffs are known to be. However, my fault. I left the controller on the counter and...yep she saw her opportunity for freedom and she chewed it. But she still won't cross the yard boundaries and will do the other things she learned while using this instrument so we never replaced it. Everyone wins!
So I've been super excited to get this in
May 16, 2016
So I've been super excited to get this in. I even did the 2 day shipping because I was too impatient. I can finally let my dog run around the yard off the leash (well eventually). I just got it in today and my 55 pound husky reacted immediately to the vibrate. The sound didn't phase him. He has so much hair, he probably didn't even hear it. Lol but just a couple times with the vibration and he learned to heel in less than 5 minutes. Haven't even had to use the shock yet. Of course, he's my baby. So I had to get my boyfriend to actually press the button because I can't hurt him. Lol but I think this is so beneficial. And for those that are anti-shock collar, like I was, if the reward method isn't working, it's time to try something new.
Great collar and great price. Highly recommend this for training a rambunctious dog.

I have a yellow lab about 65 lbs. and she is 2 years old. She is pretty well trained but doesn't want to come when called. She would not run away when approached but would not come to you unless you walked toward her. I looked at a lot of collars and read several dozen reviews and this collar rated high. I had never tried a collar for training so I did my homework. I have been using the collar for 2 or 3 months now. It arrived as described and worked as stated. The collar is easily adjustable and stays in place. I have used it to train Chloi to come as well as used it to stop the nagging barking and to calm her down when she gets excited playing with the kids. I have only had to use the vibrate function and never above a setting of 25. I verified the shock function works but I haver shocked her with it. It holds a charge for 2-3 days when left on her all the time and recharges completely overnight without issues. I have never timed the charge cycle though. This is a great training tool and has worked wonders for our dog. Chloi has 4 siblings living next door and before when she got together with them it took over 30 minutes to get her back home. Now I call her and she comes running without using the collar. Maybe once or twice a week I will use it for correction but it only takes a 1 or 2 second vibrate and she responds. One more note about the range. We live about 200 feet from the road and at night she will go up the road and I am sure she is over 100 yards away and it has had her running home. Great collar and I highly recommend it.
You have to buy this collar!! Works great!!
July 29, 2015
We bought two of these collars because we love it so much! We first ordered one for our puppy and had so much success we got another one for our neighbor for their new puppy and they are just as happy with the collar! We actually only had to use the "shock" portion 3 times before our dog learned to listen and behave and now we can let her out and she will not run away (we have a huge yard that is not fenced) she has stopped jumping on people and now we can just enjoy our new puppy without constantly having to discipline her! Our neighbor has problem with their dog barking and this collar has corrected that issue as well! So I have to say this collar is great for any behavioral issues you may be having with your dog and I definitely recommend this collar! The remote is great and really user friendly, we love that it has the vibration and "beep" options and it's not just a shock collar. Also it truly is waterproof as I sprayed my dog with the hose on a hot day forgetting about the collar and she got really wet and it still works!
Works Well!

Here are the measurements. It's worth it to buy another collar if this one is too small for your dog.

Good product, works well.

For about a year I've used one of the collars that triggers when the dog barks. It worked for a while but after a couple of months the dog figured out that she could bark, get shocked, then have 15 seconds of non-stop barking before it would shock again. So it didn't really deter the barking after she'd worn it a while.I've had this collar for about a week now and seems to work great. Since this one allows me to press the button, without a 15 second delay, she stops barking after about the second time of hitting the button. I know it's only been a week but I think this one will work much better. The only downside is that it's not stopping her when I'm not home. But hopefully after a while she'll know barking=possible shock and it will stop her when I'm not there too. It seems to have pretty good range as I'm inside my house and she's out in the yard and can be up to about 100 yards away from me and it's picking up the signal.
Great product, highly recommend!

Would highly recommend this product. It takes a full three hrs for collar to charge but last a few days before another charge. The remote has beep, vibrate and shock buttons. My dog that I bought it for I a completely different dog after using it. It comes with a great case and a great booklet to read through. It's WATERPROOF too! I don't submerge it on purpose but it's great to know when your dog let's himself into the pool when he wants!

January 17, 2016
My dog is a chow chow, Australian shepherd, Alaskan malamute, Irish setter mix, ( territorial, aggressive, possessive, and hunter tracking abilities) basically he is a little warrior and i needed this collar to establish a dominant role with him, as soon as i beeped him the first time he looked at me and knew it was me communicating with him, since i made my verbal command at the same time. he usually would tune me out but since i can have impact on him even if he is far away with an audible, and physical touch its made a big difference. I definitely progress up, beeps being a warning, then if he doesnt respond i go to vibrate, and then shock if its a severe situation and he is not listening. So he has learned to listen to the beeps cause then heed other progressively worse consequence.I give this product 5 stars because it has allowed me to bridge the gap in connection with my dog, and allowing me to have the ability to communicate with him and even interfere with his instincts.... I originally got this because my dog was starting fights with other dogs, being protective over me or something he thinks he has claimed. . . silly dog stuff.... now i am able to beep, him when he is approaching a dog and showing signs of aggression. If he doesnt listen i vibrate him, this usually does the trick and he learns to avoid the dog that is triggering his bad behavior. He is also a tracker and a hunter, he loves hunting foxes and we go hiking all the time and to local park where there are native foxes, sometimes if he takes off or gets too close to one, (im just not sure what would happen, mostly concerned about the fox hurting my dog) i beep him, then progressively vibrate or even pulse him with the shock option and he usually will stop or come back. It works great for these things and i feel i am finally not stressed about my dog, i feel like i have control over him and he listens much better than ever. He is also about two so he is getting to that stage where all he has learned is integrating into his puppy behaviors.Although i have had nothing but an amazing experience, there is one complaint about this product.... If you don't beep, vibrate or shock within a few minutes, the receiver(collar) goes into a sleep mode. And then in moments where i am not fully watching he may begin a fight with another dog and then i turn around to see whats happening and press the shock button to get him to stop, and then it takes about 5 seconds for the receiver to awaken, so that five seconds while Obi (my dog) is engaged in battle, the collar is doing nothing even though i am pressing the button, of coarse as soon as the 5 second delay is up then he stops because he will feel the shock and then he learns his lesson and begins to avoid that dog again... either way that is a super bummer about the product. This incident has only happened once since i have had the collar we mostly just avoid his triggers, but its nearly impossible to always focus one hundred percent on your dog if you engage in conversation with another dog owner or something.one other complaint is that when Obi plays with his BFF they wrestle hard and sometimes his friend does a collar biting thing, and usually i take the collar off at this point, but in situations where we are somewhere that he must wear the collar i keep it on. Harvey (obis friend) somehow got his collar loose and the prongs were not touching him anymore and the belt buckle thing was coming un done, this is not cool because who wants to lose the collar, or in this case i was shocking him because he was running after a fox, luckily he is just a really smart dog and i think since i have gotten the collar he definitelky listens more intently to me. . . . but he stopped and came back , then i realized about the collar being loose and that he couldn't feel the shock or the vibrate, , ,other than that this collar is a life saver and u wouldn't give it anything other than 5 stars since those things aren't that big of a deal once you figure out how to work with them.
Easy to follow directions and dog draining videos told me ...
October 23, 2015
Got it today and charged it up. Easy to follow directions and dog draining videos told me to set it on 1 and go up from there to find the lowest level of stimulation needed to get my dog's attention. I gotta be honest, this dog is big, dumb, stubborn and may actually be a mentally deficient hellhound so I was expecting to have to take it to the max since no amount of bad dogging him as worked. Level 1 has him chasing his own tail thinking it somehow bit him on the neck. I think his days of trash can foraging, chasing the cat, eating drywall and mowing down my children and guests with his giant feet are behind him. I'll bet in a week I'll only need the vibration or beep function! I can't wait to teach him how to walk on leash without obsessive pulling! For anyone thinking of going this route with a stubborn pup- watch training videos and have a plan to use this as a method of negative reinforcement when positive reinforcement alone doesn't yield results. I think in no time at all I won't even need the collar! :)

April 13, 2015
I think this is the one. Sound, vibrate, and shock. I used the sound and vibrate first and it works well. Went for a walk and he took off after a neighbor so I used the shock and he stopped in his tracks and came running to me. On the way home I would use the sound to make him respond to my commands and seems to work well.
A Lifesaver!!!
March 7, 2014
After obedience classes and home training were not enough to deter certain bad habits in our dog, I researched online multiple training collars looking for help. I like that this one had a tone, vibration and a shock option. After reading the other reviews on this product I decided to give it a shot.We have been using the collar on our 1 year old pit bull mix for just over a week. I cannot believe the difference!!! Her nickname was Demon before the collar.First I want to say that I did try the different settings on my hand before putting it on the dog. I want to train her, but not be cruel about it. The shock (on levels 1 and 2) is extremely mild. I have had more of a shock testing a 9-volt battery. For our dog, this was all that was necessary. Just enough to distract her.The first day she had it on, we went through the progression of options on level 1. When she would begin the bad behavior she got the beep. If she continued, the vibrate, and finally if she still persisted, the shock. In a week's time I have only got as high as the shock twice, and that was the first day. She now responds very well to just the tone. She is a changed dog!!We continue to use the collar as there are multiple issues being addressed, but I would have never believed such a large change could come about in such a short period of time. The first issue we addressed was her digging up frozen poop and eating it (later throwing up because of this). After the first day with two shocks and the following day with just a beep, I have not seen her do this again. She takes care of her business, sometimes runs around playing, but then comes right in.Since she was already familiar with the progression of the collar from the first issue, she grasped very quickly when it came to things like jumping on visitors, or chasing our cats. I highly recommend this to anyone who feels like they are just not getting through. The charge on the collar lasts about three days. I take it off of her at night and on the third night, put it on the charger. The only downfall I have found is the charger itself which I believe is a standard European charger. It does come with an adapter for US plugs, but the adapter pops off if bumped. Our solution was to plug the charger in behind something where it couldn't be accidentally knocked loose. The remote does have a sleep mode if it hasn't been used in awhile. If you go to use it the first time, the collar indicator will light up, but nothing happens. Hit the beep again and you can hear it works. It map be in the directions somewhere, but when you go to put the battery in to the remote, you remove the door by just popping it off. Once you put the battery in, you need to unscrew the screw at the top of the compartment to use to close the compartment door securely. It took a few minutes to figure this part out. Could be just me.To sum it up. Great collar! I highly recommend this. This has saved one dog from possible re-homing.

Works well for mid sized dogs, simple and neat.

Happy with the product. I have had a few issues. I had to replace the collar as the one that comes with it is too thin and allows the unit to come off very easily. Also, the adjustment on the collar had to be taken apart and adjusted, then sewed back together again. My dog rubbed against his cage and popped the unit off, then proceeded to destroy it by chewing it up. No luck there, He gouged it a little but it stood up to his chewing and now has character. He is a 2 year old black labrador. The range is a little bit shorter than advertised. This is still okay for me. The power adjustment is nice although I would like to see more power like my last one had. It would send my dog airborne, this one my dog grins and bears with it. It is merely annoying to him. Simple, yes, cheap, yes, works, yes. My dog was inherited and unruly is an understatement. I figured I had a good couple months to go of retraining. Not the case, He came around in a very short time with the help of this collar. I didn't need the bark arrester and I am glad it didn't come as a feature. I would like to see a dig arrester!

Great product...would like if the screen could be seen at night with back lite screen. Update - The clip broke after first week on the remote. Would prefer having 1 mode instead of 2. Holds a charge for about a week. Our Doberman no longer jumps on people and is much more controllable now. All I have to do is show her the remote control and she bows her head. I don't even use it much anymore. REALLY need to be able to see the screen at night!!! Very important!
Product was kind of a pain to setup but easy to use
December 19, 2015
I have bought 2 of these now because the first one got wet and didn't survive (not waterproof). Product was kind of a pain to setup but easy to use. Before you 'shock' your dog, please try it on yourself. It's a little rough! I have basset hound, only have the heart to use the vibrate function. My only real complaint is that you have to charge the collar and the remote separately and quite often. It's a hassle, and I end up not having it when I would like to use it. If you don't mind that, the product itself does what it's meant to do. The price is right.
Works great for a good price
August 21, 2015
For the price, you can't really go wrong with this. The whole thing has a kind of cheap plastic feel to it but I intentionally bought a cheap one (so I am not complaining about the build). It has four modes, Shock, Vibrate, Light, and Audio. Shock and Vibrate have a level from 1-100 but I've only used level 5 for both of them because my dog notices those levels and stops what he is doing immediately. I'm actually a little afraid to try level 100 due to his reaction at level 5. I have no idea in what scenario the "light" mode would be effective but it's there. The remote also has a tiny LCD light on it that you can use for ... some purpose? My only real complaint is that it goes into sleep mode after a few minutes and if you try to zap the dog after this happens, it won't work until you hit the mode button again and by that time he may have already stopped the undesired behavior. In summary, if you are looking for a cheap and effective way to help train your dog
Great buy.

This shock collar was the best thirty bucks I have ever spent since buying my mini poodle. She's only 4 pounds so I do not shock her with it, well not yet anyway. I use the vibration setting and the loud beep noise setting and she really behaves while the collar is on her and I utilize those two settings. Must buy for disobedient dogs!! The only reason I didnt give it the full 5 stars is because I had to put the shocking device onto a diff. collar because my dogs neck was much smaller.

though we don't like to ever shock him at this level
March 15, 2016
We have a 109 LBS Doberman that wouldn't stop running away. His attitude changed completely within the first day of using this remote. It claims a 600 yard range but we've found it effective at 250 max.The shock power is enough to completely stop him in his tracks if need be, though we don't like to ever shock him at this level. He is not aggressive. We use it at level 4 and it is sufficient for his short hair.Charging and pairing work flawlessly. My only regret is not buying this product sooner. A big thanks to the inventor of the product!
Incredible! We'll keep the dog after all!
July 26, 2015
I am so incredibly happy I decided to purchase this training system! I have never given up on an animal but was about to give ours away. We adopted a shelter puppy at 8 weeks old in the hopes that he wouldn't have any bad habbits since we have two young children. Unfortunately, this dog grew way faster and stronger than anticipated. He is also the most stubborn, strong-willed animal I have ever known. He is very food-motivated but if you didn't have treats he wouldn't listen at all. From 3 months to date, at 5 months old, he would jump up on and bite our children, tearing their clothes and leaving marks, and when I would go to make him stop, he would bare his teeth at me and growl. I was concerned for my children's safety, and for my own in the future, as he is supposed to be about 80 pounds when full grown. *Side note- I'm in no way saying this would be appropriate for a dangerous animal, but for our out-of-control puppy it works. After exhausting positive training books and videos, I finally gave in and purchased this collar. We made sure to use the sound first, then if that didn't work, the vibration. After he got over the "What in the world just happened?" look, he learned very quickly the consequences. The vibration is sufficient to stop him in his tracks on the #1 setting and I have only used the shock setting once when he was off-leash and would not come when called. I can't imagine needing to use a higher setting.I have never reviewed a product online but am so impressed with how quickly we got results with our dog that I had to. He is now the dog we were hoping for in the first place. He is calmer, isn't biting and listens like a champ. He stays in his bed while we are eating dinner and even let my little one put pig tails in his hair when I wasn't looking! I haven't tested the waterproof aspect yet. I would have given 5 stars if the transmitter was a little sturdier.
Great choice with price and functionality

Purchased this for our rescue lab, approximately 2 yrs old, with a very thick, waterproof coat. He is like an ADHD 2yr old, and while he knows basic commands, his behavior off leash needs work (off leash he has had no recall when asked to come). On our two trips so far to a 48-acre dog park since receiving the collar, we noticed that he started paying more attention to us. When he'd start to wander off and ignore our verbal calls, he would first get the beep, then the vibrate, and then the shock on the lowest settings. We've only needed to bump up it up to level 2 once . As he wandered, we'd call and he'd get the signal(s) at the same time - and finallly he'd turn and look. Soon he started looking on his own just to know where we were, which was the desired response. Once we had his attention, his recall was good since his attention was on us.He's gone swimming with the collar at the park twice, so the waterproof portion has held up.Reminders:- REMOVE any other collar your dog to avoid the possiblity of their metal components coming into contact with the prongs on the training collar. Training collars are for supervised use only - NEVER leave them on your dog if you are not there. Use them while training, and then remove the collar when you are through.- the collar should fit snugly to your dog's throat, with the prongs in constant contact with his skin. (This may seem tighter than a normal collar to some, but its necessary for proper contact.) If you have a long-haired or extremely thick-coated dog, you should use the longer prongs to ensure contact.Pros:- buttons are easily identified- separate buttons for each type of correction makes it easy to avoid mistakes- changing shock level is simple (0-7 dial)- collar is easily adjustable to most sizes (trim for smaller dogs)- prongs suitable for shorter and longer coats included- remote supports up to three dog/collar combinations (additional collars require separate purchase)- remote is comfortable and easy to use for both left and right handers (I'm a righty, my husband is a lefty)Cons:- the 9V battery shipped with the remote is cheap, almost no life. Just have a good quality 9V ready to use from the start (suggest a rechargeable 9V)Wish List:- the remote should be rechargeable with the same power cord as the collar. Why they didn't do this is a mystery. Taking one star off for this, otherwise I'd give it five.- remote comes with a neck strap, but a clip attachment is preferable for some (I like neck strap, husband would prefer clip)- the shock button has a small red icon on a black button, which is difficult to see in low light condtions. Changing the button color to red with black would make it more visible, and even less prone to accidental pressing when a lower level correction is actually desired.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase in regards to the price, functionality, and durability so far.

I was literally on the verge of murdering my dog, not really, but he was driving me insane. I have an 11 year old white german shepard and decided to get a puppy, I think this puppies dad is satan. He wont stop biting, jumping, chasing the cats so I was at my wits end. I never thought I would ever get one of these collars but decided I needed to do something. I received it, and put it on him, he started to not listen and I told him no a few times then I pressed the vibrate mode and he stopped what he was doing and ran back to me. I wont use the shock on him I tried it on myself and it stung so the vibrate is what I will use. So far so good. Today he will have it on once I get out of work until I go to bed.
more than I expected for the price

I am a certified police K-9 trainer, I was introduced to this product by a person I met at my kids soccer game. I bought it as an alternative to offer some of my customers who don't want to pay the hefty price of a higher end unit. I tested it out for the last month and I am surprised by the performance. I have used this unit on everything from my high drive protection dogs, down to service animals and so far its fine. For the price you are getting a lot of higher end features such as multi dog control, audible correction, vibrate with audible tone correction, and static correction with 7 levels. I tried all of the settings on myself to see what type of output it has, and its on par with my more expensive units. I would not recommend static correction above setting 3 for most breeds of dogs, I strongly recommend you try all the settings on yourself to get a feel for how the unit functions and avoid the thought that more static correction is the answer. In most cases, you should only have to use static correction two or three times at the most, followed with the audible or the vibrate with audible. The range is not as advertised, I could get a little over 100 yards line of sight. I like the waterproof feature, good strong collar, I would recommend.
Excellent training aid - only one thing would make it better

I'm very happy with this purchase. I have a 6 month old Newfoundland that is about 70 pounds with thick fur. Generally she is well behaved, but she has issues with chasing the cat and sometimes running over the kids in excitement. When I try to catch her to tell her "No" she gets even more excited thinking I'm playing a game so I needed a way to stop her without running after her. This fit the bill perfectly. On shock strength:On setting 4 it is just strong enough to break her concentration and confuse her. It obviously doesn't cause her any pain because she doesn't look the least bit hurt - she just starts sniffing around her fur trying to figure out what happened. Usually that is enough to get her to quit running after whatever she is chasing when combined with me yelling no. If she really is being bad and intentionally ignoring me then one or two presses of level 5 combined with a strong no from me will usually get her to stop and come back and sit by my side. I haven't gone above level 5 yet and I don't think I'll have to. Settings 1-3 have absolutely no affect on her, but I think this is mainly because her fur is very thick - google images of Newfoundland dogs to get an idea of what I'm talking about. On smaller or shorter coat dogs lower settings might be effective. On initial setup:It takes about 3 hours to charge up once you plug it in. The directions say that when it is charging a red light will be on and then when fully charged the red light will turn off and a blue light will come on. For my collar the red light came on and then when it was fully charged a blue light also came on but the initial red light never went off. I left it on the charger an extra couple of hours and the red light was still on so I think this is just a mistake in the directions. Supposedly you can use a single controller for three collars but I only have one dog so I can't test that. You can switch between collars with a single button push, so it looks like that feature would be easy to use. One additional note: This collar has to be worn a bit more tightly than my dog's normal non-shock collar in order for it to be effective. If it isn't on fairly tight then the electrodes don't press through her fur and the shock feature doesn't work at all. I wouldn't want to leave this on the dog all the time for that reason (the directions say not to leave it on the dog permanently anyway) I switch our dog into her regular collar at night and then put this back on in the morning. Again this may only be an issue because of her thick fur.On quality:When deciding which collar to buy I read several reviews on this product complaining that it was made of plastic. I'm really not sure why that is an issue. Yes, it is made of plastic - but it is good quality plastic. All of the screws line up well, the plastic parts are well molded, and it feels solid in my hand. The collar is also perfectly suitable. A large angry mastiff on a chain might be able to rip it off, but if you are trying to stop a large angry mastiff with a shock collar you are probably just going to make it more angry anyway. For normal use, where you aren't trying to chain up your dog with this collar, I can't imagine it ever failing. On range:I haven't had a lot of opportunity to test the limits of this collar's range. My dog is an indoor dog so it never gets extremely far away. It has worked from two rooms away though (open floor plan - I could still see the dog), so walls and furniture don't seem to be a problem. I can vouch for at least 100 feet with no problems. I haven't tested farther than that. Why only four stars? There is one thing I really wish were different about this product. The controller doesn't have a belt clip. So basically you have to carry it around in your hand everywhere you go. It does come with a long string if you want to wear it as a necklace, but that looks stupid and is extremely irritating so I'm not sure why they even made that an option. You can put it in your pocket I guess, but then you risk accidentally sitting on the shock button - not something I'm willing to risk. If you forget to carry it around with you at all times then you end up with a situation where the dog is chasing the cat and the controller is nowhere to be found. If they stuck a belt clip on this thing I would gladly give it five stars.

We've been working with our terrier to keep him from chasing the 8 month old kitten we adopted a couple of months ago. We've tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING that the pet adoption and vet and internet websites recommended. I finally thought that if i could just disrupt his focus when he was locking into a prey instinct that it just might work. This is actually helping. I really couldn't stand the thought of shocking him but the vibration and sound seem to be helping. We've only been working for about 4 days but he has already improved where the last few months of work hasn't. He REALLY does not like the vibration and most of the times, it does stop him from getting into chase mode if I catch him early enough. Overall it seems to be a pretty good product. My two complaints about this product are:1) The collar is quite large and won't size down to fit my dog. He is on the smaller end of the numbers but apparently his neck is smaller than an average 15 pounder. It's impossible to make it the right size and I've looked but haven't found a collar it will fit with. Its also really big box on his small neck so that's not something I can leave on him for longer sessions where the cat might just wander in the room while he is sitting beside me.2) The buttons on the remote are oddly placed. It seems to me that the mode changing button and the "Y" button are in the wrong places. You don't change modes constantly but its the biggest button and right in the middle where the "Y" button should be (the one that executes the commands). I know I'll need to train myself to that but its just not as functional as it could be. Its also VERY easy to accidentally turn down or up the vibration or sound because that rocker button is in a place where it is easy to hit by mistake. If its down too low, well, you might as well not even tried.Overall, it seems to be a good product and I'd recommend it based upon that if you have a larger dog-over 20lbs but it could use some improvements.
It's Okay, but I wouldn't buy it again
August 3, 2015
The collar works to tame Carlos the crackheaded cattle dog but it's cheaply made. The PLASTIC D-ring that the leash clips onto broke on our 3rd walk. On our 2nd charge I had to resync the device which was annoying. Furthermore the collar IS NOT WATERPROOF! Complete false advertising as in the user manual it clearly states it is NOT waterproof, yet it's plastered in huge letters on the box.Overall I'll throw a thick key ring on it so I'm able to walk him and continue to use it but if I could go back I wouldn't purchase it.
Easy to operate and adjust, good for minor behavioral issues
June 29, 2015
We bought this because our rescue dog does not get along with our cats. We are training him with positive reinforcement and positive punishment (limited)--where the vibration from the collar would be punishment. When he gets along with the cats he gets food, when he goes to chase the cats he gets a small vibration from the collar. The collar definitely has pro's and con's.Pro's: Affordable for the type of product.Definitely is water resistant. Our dog has worn it out in the rain with no problems. We have taken it off for the pool, as I would not leave something like this on for that anyways. The collar is a nice size and will adjust to many dogs, also the prongs that deliver the vibration/shock to your dog come in two different sizes depending on your dogs size/fur lengthYou can hook up two collars to one remoteEasy to useShock and Vibration levels vary from 1-100Con's (I had the product replaced once by Amazon for faultiness and am having only minor issues with the second one):The length that the charge stays in the collar is very variable with how much you can use it before it diesOccasionally the receiver will not deliver the vibration when you push the button --With this issue I have found that if I adjust the collar on my dogs neck or reset the collar the receiver will work once moreOverall I would still recommend this collar if you want something cheaper to train for minor behavioral issues. If you want something more complex for more serious issues, multiple dogs, or for hunting training (or other training you might use this for) I would recommend spending more money for a more advanced system.
Sounds silly typing it but in the field i would like a remote that toggles between modes differently
June 22, 2015
Suits my needs. Holds a charge for me. Remote does too. Must charge for the 6-8hr first time but this is common for all battery powered electronics. Only gripe is with the remote. Main complaint: Toggling between modes. They are in descending order (in my head) : zap, vibrate, sound. light. I prefer to start with sound, then vibrate, and as a last resort zap. Most commonly it is vibrate then zap. So when in vibrate i have to go thru the other modes to get back to zap. Sounds silly typing it but in the field i would like a remote that toggles between modes differently. say a button for beep, a button for vibrate and another for zap (static shock)Secondary complaint: Belt clip not strong enough to hold on to pants. I hooked a wrist band to it and just have it around my wrist when working in the yard or fished thru a belt loop when you need your hands. Also - The zap is STRONG. 3 works for my dog - 6 month old GSD and AUSSIE. I would hate to see 100. Sweet Jesus that would hurt. ALWAYS try it on yourself before you zap you pooch. That's only fair! The shock is sort of a two-fer. It hits and the jolts again. It is quick but it is a definite two part to it. Kinda like a heartbeat Da-dum.All in all. Is it like the ultra expensive ones that exist? No. Does it work? YES Does it give you results? Yes. Am i glad i bought it? YES. Is my dog a happy dog? I would say YES.
Works OK
June 3, 2015
Runs out of juice too fast, needs to be re-charged daily - even if only used 15 minutes a day!But when charged, it works well. 2 chargers would be nice, since both collar and remote need to be charged daily.

March 4, 2016
The collar worked great for a couple of months and then the shock feature stopped working. I think we only shocked the dog 4 times and she got the message. The beeping feature was great for warning the dog and she responded well to that feature. Once our hard headed dog figured out that both features were out of commission she was back to being out of control. Great dog inside the house but if she can go for a run she will.
Read troubleshooting steps in maual carefullu if you're having troubles
February 13, 2016
UPDATE: While reading the troubleshooting I noticed it said that similar behavior can happen if the level is set to zero. Mine was close, so I rotated the dial past 1 then back to one. This appears to have solved the problem. After only about 3 uses, the collar won't sync with the remote. Waited to ensure it charged fully. I turn it on. It syncs with remote. I press beep button. The collar beeps, then shuts off! Worthless!

January 12, 2015
It has definitely helped my dog become obedient. I think now it's come to the point where by just looking at the control he understands and just decides on his own to listen. The only reason I give the product three starts is because the control it's self takes up to three clicks till is starts working. Sometimes one click will do it and that I understand to maybe start up the control again but three clicks? That gets frustrating because by the times it does eventually beep (or vibrate or shock, whichever one I'm trying to use) a lot of times it's already too late and he doesn't even know what I shocked him for. I do like that there are two warning signals before you have to get to the actual shock and I especially like that there are levels of shocks 1-7, my dog has a high tolerance for pain and in rare occasions I need to take it to level 5 but I'm glad it's an option for whenever I may need it.
Good but not great
March 21, 2014
I bought this collar to train my beagle mix who had a problem with on leash aggression. The good news is that it worked and she is now a friendly well trained dog. Having the option of sound, vibration and shock was very nice and I only had to use the shock one time as the vibration mode did the trick. What I don't like about this collar is the collar itself. It is very bulky and you have to adjust where the box slides into one of the holes on the collar every time you put it on the dog. The second thing I dont like about this system is the hand held controller. It has a very large antenna and no belt clip. It does have a neck strap but who wants to walk around with something so large hanging from their neck?In comparison on a previous dog I used a petsafe collar. The collar was nylon and the box came attached to it which was very nice. The controller had a belt clip and was small. This collar offered a sound and ten levels of shock. It was not waterproof. I would have gone with that same model had it been available but as it was not I chose the lesser expensive Aeterek and I somewhat regret that decision.
Lacking some features, but useful overall
January 27, 2014
I bought this to assist me in providing corrections for my 55lb pitbull terrier mix. I have been using it to deter her from getting in the trash, running out of open doors, and from attempting to harass and dominate other dogs at the dog park.It seems to be good quality construction, not too flimsy and cheap feeling. The included collar is sturdy, but very large. It is designed so that you can size it to your dog and cut the excess.Good: Even with her fairly high tolerance for pain, she responds easily to a level 2 and 3 in most situations. The controller is responsive and easy to use. It is very easy to pair the collar with the controller after unplugging it from the charger. The other features, in tone and vibrate are ok. The tone is sudden enough to break her focus and get her attention back on my commands. She completely ignores the vibration. I like that it's rechargeable, the range is good (can't verify 400 yards, but still good), and it is powerful enough to be useful. It's also neat that they include a testing device so you don't have to verify that it is working on your hand. It's easier for me to just shock myself, but I guess some people wouldn't like that.Bad: The case is kinda goofy, but no harm done. My biggest gripe is with the controller and it's total lack of a clip. I don't like to have to carry it in my hand and I'm not going to put it around my neck. That's goofy. I really don't like that there's no way to clip it to my pocket or belt. Also, there isn't an off switch for the controller or collar. After a period of not using it, it shuts off. The 9v battery was very difficult to install in the controller, but the cover is secured by a screw, which I consider a benefit.Overall, I would purchase again. It allows making corrections at a distance possible where before she would've been able to just keep doing what she wants.(If you can't handle putting it on your own hand and hitting the shock button on level 7, you better not be using this on your dog. This collar is NOT magic and requires dedicated, responsible training. Be smart.)
So far so good
January 20, 2014
Just got the device seems to work well. The pooch is no longer going on relentless barking fits when she isn't getting attention in her kennel. In just a couple days she understands what a beep warning means. I have a few issues with this device construction. The remote is simply laid out as it is, has no on/off switch so after a while of not being used it turns off. Minor annoyance of having to make sure I have some 9 volts on hand. Another reviewer stated that the battery wouldn't fit inside the remote, this is somewhat true. You really have to Jam it in. The screw that holds down cover for the battery came stripped so now I have to put a piece of tape across the back. All in all a good product but the little issues have become an annoyance to me. I would recommend this product to another person but inform them of the flaws it has.

Bad battery
July 27, 2016
Works well for a while and the it won't hold a charge and dies very quickly. The collar was also made for a very large dog so I had to buy a new one and change it out.
Excellent controller with a long battery life
May 12, 2016
Excellent controller with a long battery life, however the screen is VERY dark and has no light, and the molded plastic clips used the slide the strap through broke within 6 months of having this item. I suggest spending a few dollars more and getting the plastic collar version that has a lighted controlled.
Be prepared for inconvenience with this model.
July 30, 2015
I am very disappointed in this device. While it does work and the pet does respond to it. It has to be reset fairly often. For instance if the remote is left in the back room and the pet is on the other end of the house it will not work. Then when you bring the 2 closer together still nothing. Then have to take the collar off and scoot the collar out of the way of the reset button. Only once it is reset will it work again. Then this needs to be repeated every time the 2 go out of range from each other.
Disappointed. I will try again and edit review if there is a change in product.
July 13, 2015
I purchased this item almost two weeks ago. I first received the item and immediately noticed that the light on the collar did not work. I was not very concerned with that, because I didn't intend to use that function. I continued on with the product, because the vibrate and shock function was working properly. I was quickly seeing results from my 5 month old puppy and was extremely satisfied with this collar. About two days ago, the collar stopped working. I would attempt to use it on my very lively and outgoing puppy and she was not responding...AT ALL. I was so confused. I tried to charge both the collar and charger a full night to see if i saw change and unfortunately I did not. Before committing to this product, I read all the reviews and was certain that this collar was the one for us. I am exchanging it to give it another change (maybe i had a dudd) and will be getting a new one in a week or so. I WILL edit my review if i see improvement otherwise I will be looking elsewhere, even if that means spending $75-$120 for one that is reliable.
Good while it lasted, which wasn't long
June 24, 2015
The product had easy to follow instructions on set up. We charged the remote and the collar as instructed and it was very easy to sync them together. We used the tone and vibrate functions and the tone worked the first few times to correct our 6 month old labs behavior. After the first few times, she got used to it and there was no option to make it louder. We only got to use the vibrate once and did so at the full strength and it didn't really phase her. After a week, the red light came on to charge the collar. We did so for the recommended 6 hours and attempted to use it again. Well, after a week, it stopped working. Still giving it two stars because it worked well initially and I am returning to amazon for a refund.

Didn't last long. It hasn't been abused, but quit sending the signal within a month.
Product lasted only 3 months.

This product does not last. I purchased my second trainer from this company in Sept 2015. It stopped working in December and I can not get a replacement. It only had a 30 day warranty according to Amazon. The first trainer lasted for over 1 year. I am very disappointed. This kind of trainer works very well with my Shepard/Chow mix dog, but reliability stinks and you would think the company would replace the item being that it was only a couple of months old.

I am not thrilled with this. It so not doing the trick for my 6 month old lab. Quite disappointed I have to spend more $ to buy a better shock collar. I read reviews before purchasing this and have a friend that owns one so I was hoping it would work. Not strong enough.
Disappointing
June 10, 2015
I would say this works to an extent. When training though, you need consistency. The beep is sometimes delayed and sometimes beeps twice when you only hit it once. For my Doberman, the shock doesn't stop him even at level 7 (which is the highest). It may get his attention part of the time but he ignores it most of the time. Granted he is hard headed but I was expecting the shock to affect him.
DOES NOT WORK FOR BIG DOGS OR LARGE PUPPIES
January 1, 2015
I followed all the instructions and placed it on my very large Great Pyrenees puppy (about 6 months old) and the only stimulus she noticed was the vibration. I set the shock at 3, 4, 5 ,6, and 7 and she did not even flinch. I put my fingers on it at the 7 (strongest) setting and felt a slight tingle. She continued to demonstrate the bad habits that I am trying to correct with the use of the collar. I personally feel this collar is a waste of money. I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to train a large dog.
I liked not having to cycle through different modes
October 10, 2014
I liked not having to cycle through different modes. Separate buttons are a necessity. Unfortunately, the transmitter never went into "sleep" mode and drained a 9v battery in a few hours. This was a pain, but acceptable to me so I just disconnected the battery when not in use. However, after the third day, the transmitter would no longer pair with the receiver. I did everything I could to get them to pair, but it simply won't do it. (I'm comms in the USAF so I know how this stuff works...tried everything). Anyways, I'll be sending the unit back and buying a different product.

AVOID
August 29, 2016
JUNK. AVOID.I have purchased two, the first May 2015. Both failed. They work great--for about a month or two. Now, most people don't use or need them longer than that. But I did, for a different dog. It no longer charges, OR the collar no longer receives.AVOID and buy one that is more expensive that will last.
Very ineffective
July 1, 2016
This collar didn't do anything for my dog. We followed all the instructions 100%, the collar fit properly, everything. We started with the lowest setting of course, and when we hit the shock button my dog didn't even flinch. We gradually worked our way up to the highest setting and still nothing. This whole setup was a complete waste of time and money. Useless.
I wont buy it again.
March 30, 2016
I've had this for a long time. It's cheap I know so I can't complain but with this you get what you pay for I've used it once in the time I had it because I was working with my dog and anytime he got more than 10ft. from me it wouldn't work. When It does work It only has one button that you use to cycle thru a bunch of different settings either shock, beeb, vibrate or a light I think and it's to hard to get to the setting that I want in the moment. It needs to have like a button for each or something. Idk I just didn't like it.
Simply didn't work when needed.
December 13, 2015
Short version is, you get what you pay for. Here is the long version. My dog is a runner. When he gets out he is gone and there is no getting him back, I have to just wait for him to come back on his own, or pick him up from animal control if they get him first.I had bought this hoping I could train the dog to not go through the front door and then eventually take it off of him. I didn't want him to associate the new collar with the shocks so my plan was to leave it on him for a couple days and then start the training. I rigged the front door so that he could push it open but not get all the way through. Then I waited outside for him to take the bait. Within minutes he was at the door pushing it open. I pushed the button over and over and nothing happened. I went back in and took it off him and tested it. It seemed to be working fine. I put it back on him, tested with the beep feature and it worked. So I waited another couple days. The same thing happen again, nothing.I eventually figured out that it would stop working until you shook it or smacked it or something like that.A couple days after the third attempt at training the dog got loose. I saw him get out the door, so I grabbed the transmitter and went after him. I hit it a few times as he was running down the road with no reaction from him at all.About two weeks later someone called and said they had our dog. Of course the collar wasn't on him anymore.
Stay Away!
November 21, 2015
Horrible product for us. The charging pin became dislodged. At times, the collar would not charge, and then it seemed to malfunction while on our dog. I went to try and help her and she grabbed my thumb as she was reaching to bite the collar. Needless to say....ER visit, followed by being admitted into the hospital for 4 days with a serious infection in my thumb from a dog bite. I came super close to going into surgery. I still do not have full range of motion back in my thumb. MY ADVICE? Stay away from this static collar. I would try citronella collars next. If you absolutely feel a static collar is the way to go......get a more reliable model.
Shocking with the collar off

Do not spend your money
October 10, 2016
Useless. It sparks out of nowhere when you are not even pressing the button, it has not once sparked or shocked the dog, (I have a GSD) when I tried to shock the dog. It attacked another dog without even carrying for the collar, since the piece of equipment did not worked. It vibrates all right but that's about it.
Imagine taking one of these off your dog when it won't' stop electrocuting the poor thing.
July 26, 2016
I'm not sure what went wrong with this unit, but it wouldn't stop electrocuting my dog. Just try to take one off a dog when this happens. As for the remote, it feels like those old kids Radio Shack walkie talkies. Very brittle plastic that would probably break if it was ever dropped.I'm afraid my dog will never be the same after this. It's basically a torture device when you lose control of it.
Crap
July 1, 2016
If I could give it zero stars I would. At first this collar worked great for my 80lb lab....then it just works when it wants to...it also states that this is waterproof....IT IS NOT. the reason I bought it was for that, because our lab likes to swim in the lake....one swim....and this thing was totally fried! Won't power on or anything. I'd def save your money.....it's garbage.
Don't buy.
April 14, 2016
Only lasts about 24 hours or less on a single full day charge. So I can't use it all that often. The remote has a horrible delay as if the the controller fallss asleep and you have to wake it up. I would suggest buying something else.
Turns off
January 30, 2016
The receiver turns off. I found myself trying to fumble with turning it back on and, by the time I got it turned on, the dog's behavior had changed. At that point there was no point "correcting" him because he would have thought he was being reprimanded for something unrelated to the problem. The only way I could get it to work was to hold the receiver in my hand and push the button to beep when the dog was misbehaving.
returning and getting a better system, this is junk
August 13, 2014
the collar has good ratings but there is alot wrong with it! the battery is hard to install, when you press the 'on' button on the collar, it vibrates and Shocks, high level! the Lowest setting stim made my dog yipe and leap into the air. Best of all, it Randomly Zapped my dog! when the collar was turned was off!!RETURNING!!!!!!! I'll pay more for a better quality product.
