The shock collar did and work how it said it was supposed to. I did feel a little guilty using it on my dog but it worked really well. I have actually stopped using it since I bought it because I tend to get the buttons Mixed up, that's not any fault of the product itself. But I have it handy in case my doggie decides to get a little crazy again.

Great collar! It worked immediately. Can go from sound to vibrate to shock. Shock level goes up to 100 which is insane. I have a 105 pound mastiff and I only used it at level 10 for shock. She hated when it went on bc she knew she had to behave and couldn't be bull headed as mastiffs are known to be. However, my fault. I left the controller on the counter and...yep she saw her opportunity for freedom and she chewed it. But she still won't cross the yard boundaries and will do the other things she learned while using this instrument so we never replaced it. Everyone wins!

So I've been super excited to get this in. I even did the 2 day shipping because I was too impatient. I can finally let my dog run around the yard off the leash (well eventually). I just got it in today and my 55 pound husky reacted immediately to the vibrate. The sound didn't phase him. He has so much hair, he probably didn't even hear it. Lol but just a couple times with the vibration and he learned to heel in less than 5 minutes. Haven't even had to use the shock yet. Of course, he's my baby. So I had to get my boyfriend to actually press the button because I can't hurt him. Lol but I think this is so beneficial. And for those that are anti-shock collar, like I was, if the reward method isn't working, it's time to try something new.

I have a yellow lab about 65 lbs. and she is 2 years old. She is pretty well trained but doesn't want to come when called. She would not run away when approached but would not come to you unless you walked toward her. I looked at a lot of collars and read several dozen reviews and this collar rated high. I had never tried a collar for training so I did my homework. I have been using the collar for 2 or 3 months now. It arrived as described and worked as stated. The collar is easily adjustable and stays in place. I have used it to train Chloi to come as well as used it to stop the nagging barking and to calm her down when she gets excited playing with the kids. I have only had to use the vibrate function and never above a setting of 25. I verified the shock function works but I haver shocked her with it. It holds a charge for 2-3 days when left on her all the time and recharges completely overnight without issues. I have never timed the charge cycle though. This is a great training tool and has worked wonders for our dog. Chloi has 4 siblings living next door and before when she got together with them it took over 30 minutes to get her back home. Now I call her and she comes running without using the collar. Maybe once or twice a week I will use it for correction but it only takes a 1 or 2 second vibrate and she responds. One more note about the range. We live about 200 feet from the road and at night she will go up the road and I am sure she is over 100 yards away and it has had her running home. Great collar and I highly recommend it.

We bought two of these collars because we love it so much! We first ordered one for our puppy and had so much success we got another one for our neighbor for their new puppy and they are just as happy with the collar! We actually only had to use the "shock" portion 3 times before our dog learned to listen and behave and now we can let her out and she will not run away (we have a huge yard that is not fenced) she has stopped jumping on people and now we can just enjoy our new puppy without constantly having to discipline her! Our neighbor has problem with their dog barking and this collar has corrected that issue as well! So I have to say this collar is great for any behavioral issues you may be having with your dog and I definitely recommend this collar! The remote is great and really user friendly, we love that it has the vibration and "beep" options and it's not just a shock collar. Also it truly is waterproof as I sprayed my dog with the hose on a hot day forgetting about the collar and she got really wet and it still works!

Last resort. About 6 months ago, we became the proud parents of a 76 lb Lab/Pit mix rescue. She is 3 years old and spent most of her life outside on a chain. Because of this, she is a very strong dog. We wanted to give her a better life so planned on having her in the house with outside breaks throughout the day to do her business and being outside when we are. We also take her out to the garage/workshop when we are out there working. We knew this would be a challenge but WOW she sure has tested out patience! In the house, she was nothing short of an absolute wild child with no manners at all! Jumping up on the kitchen counters.... yes, literally all 76 pounds of her jumping onto the kitchen island counter! Jumping up on us all the time, grabbing anything and everything she can to chew it up, dragging me 60 feet across the front yard in the mud because she saw the cat and didn't understand what my screaming STOP at the top of my lungs meant. My husband said "Why didn't you just let go of the leash?" How about because she hates cats and I knew if she caught it, she would kill it. I'm 51 years old, 5' 2" and 120 pounds........I didn't stand a chance, lol! Anyway, when she pulled me off the front porch and I landed on my shoulder on the sidewalk I finally said enough is enough, I'm not waiting for broken bones here. It's been alot like the movie 'Marley and Me' around here. I've trained 6 dogs over the last 20 years, listening to my husband laugh while I sat on the floor hand feeding them one at a time to teach them that they had to take turns. Laughing myself while watching them actually stand in line at the water bowl waiting their turn.Nutter (our rescue) wasn't having anything to do with this training stuff. We have come to find that she is actually a very smart dog. We purchased this collar as a last resort. I didn't want to give up on her but she needed to learn some manners if she was going to live in the house. We started out trying to just use the vibrate feature, but she just acted like she had a fly bothering her. We have only had to use the shock feature about 4 times on the lowest #1 setting. It stopped her in her tracks! She doesn't even wear the collar anymore and she is the best dog ever! No more jumping up on anything, no more grabbing everything off the tables, no more dragging me across the yard and she DOES understand what stop, sit, down, come here means (she just chose to ignore them before). If she does start to get a little too rambunctious all we have to do is hold up the transmitter and she sits right down not even realizing that she doesn't even have the collar on.I would recommend this collar only as a last resort after all other training has failed.

We have had these collars for a couple weeks now and I am impressed with them so far. I have only really used one of the collars to date. On my 40 lb labany who is 10 months old. I did test the collar on my self first. I only put the shock on maybe 30-40 for her. That seems to get her attention enough for now. The vibrate and the beep seem to sort of confuse and make her look around wondering where it came from! We have some learning to do to get the right system for us. Trying to remember to put the collar on is something we need to learn! All in all I am happy with them and I hope I continue to be. As far as charging them, I have not charged the collar or the remote at all. They were charged out of the box and I haven't needed to charge yet. Like I said, we don't keep them on all day and some days not at all. But, that is still a pretty good length of time for the batteries. I will update this post in a few weeks when we have put them through more use.

Definetly works! I tested it with the thing it came along with. Then I tested it on myself. Theres options: light, sound, vibration, and shock. The shock hurt really bad!!! Yet I tried the others and the vibration is like how the iPhone (6plus) vibrates but for like ~3 seconds continuous. The sound makes a weird noise but it's enough sound to hear it atleast from your front to backyard (1200 sq ft). The light lets me see where my dog is in the dark but I won't need that since my buddy is white. The collar results on Hiro(my baby) after have changed his listening behavior tremendously! In just 1 minute. My goal to teach him at first command. And desperately stopping him from jumping on guests. I have yet to see how it helps on my walks. No joke it's the real deal :)

This is exactly what I needed! My dog is very rambunctious and he knows what he can get away with. A few of his bad behaviors include barking fits while jumping at the sliding glass door when he is outside, jumping on guest (he is 78 lbs so it hurts!), he also BOLTS out the front door at every chance he gets and catching him can take hours. He has had a bark collar before but it shocked him everytime he barked, which I felt bad about and it didn't help with the other bad behavior. With this collar I can give two warnings before he would have to get shocked, which is actually very seldom when I do have to use the shock. He does not like the beep at all and usually stops bahaving badly immediately and if that doesn't work the vibrate will. His behavior has improved tremendously since I started using the collar. He now goes to the other room when we open the front door and doesn't try to bolt at all. The collar is extremely user friendly and easy to set up. The rechargeable remote and collar are also great because you don't have to worry about changing difficult batteries. The color of the remote is bright so it's hard to lose. Overall I love this product and would suggest it to any dog owner. The price is great for what you get!

Shock collars are touchy subjects. I have a zany young herding dog who is very eager to learn, and equally eager to be naughty. I like to train entirely with positive reinforcement, because it is so effective! I noticed, however, that when Pup Pup had his mind set on something, it was almost impossible to get his attention to direct his behavior elsewhere.I bought this collar for the vibration feature since I don't like the idea of shocking my pup--at least not for training on the regular. The vibration gets our dogs attention every time without hurting or scaring him. The mailman comes and pup goes bonkers? --jumps on guests or on the kitchen counter? --steals socks or gets distracted on a walk? The vibrating the collar gently interrupts the behavior while he's in-the-act so I can give him a command he actually listens to.It is much more pleasant and effective to use than shouting or shoving at your pup. I find all of the vibration settings to be equally effective, and I change the setting (up or down) regularly so that he doesn't get used to one sensation and start to ignore it. After only a few days, Pup Pup learned things we had previously worked on for months with other commands and strategies, and he seems enthusiastic to behave well. Its like we finally found a way to communicate with him that he completely understands.As for the shock feature, I have used it at a level 5/100---but I just can't imagine a scenario where a higher/longer shock would be necessary or humane. When I see consumer questions asking how long of a shock duration can be given...I pray a little more at night. :( In addition to really hurting your dog, I'm afraid that shocking any dog for more than a split second scares your dog and breaks the very important trust bond with their owner. I firmly believe that the way you choose to use this tool makes the difference between creating a pet that is eager to please, and one that is scared and defensive (and dangerous!). I honestly wish higher levels weren't available on the market...and I do hesitate to inadvertently support them by owning this collar. Hence the long review and explanation...So, how do we use the low-level zap? In my opinion, a quick rubber-band-snap type of pinch can be an effective correction in a serious situation. My pup is a herding breed, and it took one tiny pinch one time for him to associate that nipping at guests heals is never okay. Pup Pup also plays fetch outside like a perfect gentleman...but I'm comforted to have a tiny shock feature in case he decides to break a stay one day and dart after a rabbit towards a road (it's never happened, but he's still young and hasn't seen many bunnies in his day)! One quick pinch delivered WHILE (not after!) the dog is misbehaving immediately snaps him out of it and gives him a negative association with a dangerous thing...like getting a burn as you touch a hot stove. That's got to be better than chasing after your dog, grabbing him and giving him a smack or a talking to like I often observe owners doing. That kind of punishment happens too late--and some dogs won't ever associate it with what they did wrong (causing them to never improve, and breaking your relationship with your pup).So! This collar is great. I love it, and I can honestly say I think my dog loves it too. Used carefully and compassionately, it can serve to make dog training not only more effective, but even more gentle!

I purchased the remote shock control pet dog training collar for my 26 pound pug. I decided to do some research prior to using the collar. There are some good youtube videos with instructions. The best thing I have learned and implemented is encouraging what behavior you want, not saying "no" to the bad behavior. The biggest thing I wanted to work on with my pug was jumping on me when I walk in the door. For weeks, I would said "off" or "no jump" when I walked in the door with no change in his behavior. Instead, now I encourage him to sit with a positive voice. He knows he needs to sit before I will pet him when I walk in the door.Using the collar, I came in and out of my front door many, many times in a row. I would instruct him to sit, and if he did not, I would use the vibration mode to get his attention, again tell him to sit, and then praise him. This has worked extremely well!There are 100 vibration settings, 100 shock settings, and a beep setting. The vibration at 1 or 2 out of 100 gets his attention. I save the shock at a 1 or 2 out of 100 for when the vibration does not get his attention and his behavior is unacceptable, such as when I am out walking him and he is barking/lunging at someone. The remote is very easy to use. The collar will fit a very wide range of necks.Remember to always give positive praise after the desired behavior is shown. Happy with the product. I have had a few issues. I had to replace the collar as the one that comes with it is too thin and allows the unit to come off very easily. Also, the adjustment on the collar had to be taken apart and adjusted, then sewed back together again. My dog rubbed against his cage and popped the unit off, then proceeded to destroy it by chewing it up. No luck there, He gouged it a little but it stood up to his chewing and now has character. He is a 2 year old black labrador. The range is a little bit shorter than advertised. This is still okay for me. The power adjustment is nice although I would like to see more power like my last one had. It would send my dog airborne, this one my dog grins and bears with it. It is merely annoying to him. Simple, yes, cheap, yes, works, yes. My dog was inherited and unruly is an understatement. I figured I had a good couple months to go of retraining. Not the case, He came around in a very short time with the help of this collar. I didn't need the bark arrester and I am glad it didn't come as a feature. I would like to see a dig arrester!

Great product...would like if the screen could be seen at night with back lite screen. Update - The clip broke after first week on the remote. Would prefer having 1 mode instead of 2. Holds a charge for about a week. Our Doberman no longer jumps on people and is much more controllable now. All I have to do is show her the remote control and she bows her head. I don't even use it much anymore. REALLY need to be able to see the screen at night!!! Very important!

I have bought 2 of these now because the first one got wet and didn't survive (not waterproof). Product was kind of a pain to setup but easy to use. Before you 'shock' your dog, please try it on yourself. It's a little rough! I have basset hound, only have the heart to use the vibrate function. My only real complaint is that you have to charge the collar and the remote separately and quite often. It's a hassle, and I end up not having it when I would like to use it. If you don't mind that, the product itself does what it's meant to do. The price is right.

For the price, you can't really go wrong with this.The whole thing has a kind of cheap plastic feel to it but I intentionally bought a cheap one (so I am not complaining about the build). It has four modes, Shock, Vibrate, Light, and Audio. Shock and Vibrate have a level from 1-100 but I've only used level 5 for both of them because my dog notices those levels and stops what he is doing immediately. I'm actually a little afraid to try level 100 due to his reaction at level 5. I have no idea in what scenario the "light" mode would be effective but it's there. The remote also has a tiny LCD light on it that you can use for ... some purpose?My only real complaint is that it goes into sleep mode after a few minutes and if you try to zap the dog after this happens, it won't work until you hit the mode button again and by that time he may have already stopped the undesired behavior.In summary, if you are looking for a cheap and effective way to help train your dog

This shock collar was the best thirty bucks I have ever spent since buying my mini poodle. She's only 4 pounds so I do not shock her with it, well not yet anyway. I use the vibration setting and the loud beep noise setting and she really behaves while the collar is on her and I utilize those two settings. Must buy for disobedient dogs!! The only reason I didnt give it the full 5 stars is because I had to put the shocking device onto a diff. collar because my dogs neck was much smaller.

UPDATE: After an on-going conversation with Customer Service I am very pleased to say that they have covered my defect under warranty. Though it took a few back and forth it was great to see the seller stand behind their product and provide excellent customer service. I have received my replacement today and hope we will have much better look. Thank you again!-------------------------------------------Original Post:This WAS a great training tool for my puppy! Loved it while we had it. I can now walk my puppy without her leash because she was able to learn with the collar (I don't even need to use the beep)Aside from the latches the product itself was great. The remote worked well from far away and only needed to be charged once a week. The collar came with two pairs of tips (one for bigger dogs) and like the remote didn't need to be charged often. All the modes were very useful (we only used vibrate or shock) and the remote comes with a one bulb LED light.Unfortunately one day at the park my puppy was running around playing, and then she came back to me with the shock module missing from the collar. It seemed to have fallen off the latch as it is not very deep and is only on the end of the sides. Not good for dogs who run or wrestle hard...Unable to find the shock module I contacted customer service to ask if it was covered by the warranty and unfortunately it was not covered. The rep was very nice but the seller offered to replace the part for $18, and considering that I paid $21 for the whole thing this solution did not make sense.Overall, it was soul-wrenching we only had it for 3 months.

I bought this to help me train my unruly Blue Heeler who would not listen to me. He is a year old, and bad behaviors included jumping up on people,running away, and never even hearing my commands. This training tool worked like magic, he stops and listens now, and comes when called.I use only the vibrate feature, I do not like shocks and I will not shock him.The collar part is a little cheap looking, but the receiver works as designed.The transmitter is brightly colored and easy to find. It fits into a jacket pocket.One caveat: the buttons are slightly raised so it is easy to accidentally change the mode.This happened to me when I fumbled with it to get it out of my pocket and accidentally shocked him.He screamed and ran under the deck and would not come out for a while.Now I always check to see if it is on vibrate, I felt so bad for him.The dog has to be fairly bright to respond to just vibrate, by far the safest way to get his attention.There is also a buzzer mode, and this works too with my dog.Soon I will stop having to use it, all I have to do now is say " I have the beeper" and show it to him.Easy to charge, a little hard to plug in the collar as there are little rubber flaps covering the charging port,This is to make it water resistant, not waterproof.I suggest using a well made collar with a stout ring if the dog is strong. Then attach the control collar.I give this product four stars as it works as described. I subtract one star for the flimsy collar.

My dog is a 65 pound border collie/mix He is CRAZY and strong. He is an angel in the house, and a different dog around other people/animals or outside. Worse of all he isn't afraid to fight another dogs. It normally would take me 10mins to calm him down outside (by sitting then making him lay) but that doesn't snap him out of it either. He is also a type of dog that doesn't want to walk next to me even with a pinch collar on. So far the little training we have done with this collar he responses beautifully. (No shock because he cries but vibration at 5-30) depending how distracted he was snapped him out of it and he will run over and sit on my feet. (I didn't even train him to do that) It's 4 stars because he looks miserable with that collar on even if he responses. Also He would have to be pretty bad to get shocked at level 1. I did it on myself, and it made me jump a little.

Affordable training collar for two dog households.The multi-mode feature is great for smaller, timid dogs- you should only need to use the shock feature for very large, unruly animals, and even then setting it at max corrective setting seems a little abusive. I tested it on my own skin before using it on my animals- level 1 stung plenty- I'd never go higher than level 1 for the shock setting.I use the sound and vibrate modes exclusively for my small dogs- works great for my younger dog gets too wound up, just enough distraction to take commands and get her attention.My older dog barks at strangers- this works great to correct that behavior- just a little beep or vibrate and he stops barking right away.

Love It. I gave 4 stars due to the collar is way too large for my 24 pound medium dog, even at the smallest setting. I can tighten it down to his size but it leaves literally a huge loop. Which is a shame because I love the color.That said the product itself is great. Holds a charge well (for days), I set the shock setting to 1 because I have accidently switched modes while fumbling for the remote. Mostly I use the vibration at 85 which is more like an old school pager set to vibrate, just placed on the dogs throat. This is used as a warning when he starts barking at the UPS man still in the street!!Now when he's in his zone and booking it down the driveway after a cat, raccoon or possum or barking uncontrollably at the doorbell from the ding dong ditching UPS man, the vibrate is useless in this situation. The vibration of his own bark is more than the collar. This is when I have resorted to shock. After 3 vibration warnings I go to shock. I have found that with Dierk's the setting of 3 out of 100 is enough to get his attention and even brought out a whimper (my heart broke) but his butt walked back up the driveway with his head held low LOLNow my daughter's boyfriend and his friend tested the shock setting (leave it to the boys) they said 1 was easy, 3 they said wasn't too bad. then they pumped it to the 100 setting, this was OMG hilarious. I don't ever suggest 100

I have a young Scottish Terrier who has started to run into the road and in front of cars that slow down by our house. She thinks they are coming to see her and this is very dangerous behavior. When I try to get her, she runs in circles, just out of my reach and won't come to me. I didn't know how to break this behavior so I bought this collar. I don't want to hurt her or break her spirit, but I don't want to see her run over either. So far, we haven't had a real chance to see her in the above situation, but I have used it to see if she will respond to the settings. I have not yet used the shock, and hope that I won't have to. She seems to respond to the beep, and definitely to the vibration. Either of those settings catches her attention and seems to scare her some: Her response it to run back to "mommy" so I can protect her. This is perfect and puts me in control. I would definitely recommend this to others and I feel the price was very reasonable.The things that kept me from giving it 5 stars are these:1. There is no indicator that it is running low on a charge. Twice I have been ready to put it on and have found it dead.2. The charger has one connector end. So, you have to charge the transmitter and then charge the collar. I had an old collar from a different dog that had 2 wires coming out of the charger unit so that the transmitter and collar could charge at the same time. That was a better set-up. Luckily, it doesn't take long to charge the 2 pieces after the initial charging.UPDATE: OCTOBER, 2015... THE COLLAR HAS STOPPED WORKING. I EMAILED THE COMPANY ASKING FOR A REPLACEMENT. THE PRODUCT SUMMARY STATES THAT THEY WILL REPLACE IT WITHIN A YEAR OF PURCHASE. I AM AT ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW. NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY AND NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CONTACT THE COMPANY OR ENTER A CLAIM TO GET A REPLACEMENT COLLAR. SO, THE "REPLACEMENT" GUARANTEE ENDS UP BEING A LIE.

this thing really works well, but I was only able to use it a few times without the neighbors losing their minds and threatening to call spca. even the lowest setting the dog will jump and yelp. mid level and she will cry for a minute after being zapped.

We've been working with our terrier to keep him from chasing the 8 month old kitten we adopted a couple of months ago. We've tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING that the pet adoption and vet and internet websites recommended. I finally thought that if i could just disrupt his focus when he was locking into a prey instinct that it just might work. This is actually helping. I really couldn't stand the thought of shocking him but the vibration and sound seem to be helping. We've only been working for about 4 days but he has already improved where the last few months of work hasn't. He REALLY does not like the vibration and most of the times, it does stop him from getting into chase mode if I catch him early enough. Overall it seems to be a pretty good product.My two complaints about this product are:1) The collar is quite large and won't size down to fit my dog. He is on the smaller end of the numbers but apparently his neck is smaller than an average 15 pounder. It's impossible to make it the right size and I've looked but haven't found a collar it will fit with. Its also really big box on his small neck so that's not something I can leave on him for longer sessions where the cat might just wander in the room while he is sitting beside me.2) The buttons on the remote are oddly placed. It seems to me that the mode changing button and the "Y" button are in the wrong places. You don't change modes constantly but its the biggest button and right in the middle where the "Y" button should be (the one that executes the commands). I know I'll need to train myself to that but its just not as functional as it could be. Its also VERY easy to accidentally turn down or up the vibration or sound because that rocker button is in a place where it is easy to hit by mistake. If its down too low, well, you might as well not even tried.Overall, it seems to be a good product and I'd recommend it based upon that if you have a larger dog-over 20lbs but it could use some improvements.

The collar works to tame Carlos the crackheaded cattle dog but it's cheaply made. The PLASTIC D-ring that the leash clips onto broke on our 3rd walk. On our 2nd charge I had to resync the device which was annoying. Furthermore the collar IS NOT WATERPROOF! Complete false advertising as in the user manual it clearly states it is NOT waterproof, yet it's plastered in huge letters on the box.Overall I'll throw a thick key ring on it so I'm able to walk him and continue to use it but if I could go back I wouldn't purchase it.

We bought this because our rescue dog does not get along with our cats. We are training him with positive reinforcement and positive punishment (limited)--where the vibration from the collar would be punishment. When he gets along with the cats he gets food, when he goes to chase the cats he gets a small vibration from the collar. The collar definitely has pro's and con's.Pro's: Affordable for the type of product.Definitely is water resistant. Our dog has worn it out in the rain with no problems. We have taken it off for the pool, as I would not leave something like this on for that anyways.The collar is a nice size and will adjust to many dogs, also the prongs that deliver the vibration/shock to your dog come in two different sizes depending on your dogs size/fur lengthYou can hook up two collars to one remoteEasy to useShock and Vibration levels vary from 1-100Con's (I had the product replaced once by Amazon for faultiness and am having only minor issues with the second one):The length that the charge stays in the collar is very variable with how much you can use it before it diesOccasionally the receiver will not deliver the vibration when you push the button --With this issue I have found that if I adjust the collar on my dogs neck or reset the collar the receiver will work once moreOverall I would still recommend this collar if you want something cheaper to train for minor behavioral issues. If you want something more complex for more serious issues, multiple dogs, or for hunting training (or other training you might use this for) I would recommend spending more money for a more advanced system.

Suits my needs. Holds a charge for me. Remote does too. Must charge for the 6-8hr first time but this is common for all battery powered electronics. Only gripe is with the remote. Main complaint: Toggling between modes. They are in descending order (in my head) : zap, vibrate, sound. light. I prefer to start with sound, then vibrate, and as a last resort zap. Most commonly it is vibrate then zap. So when in vibrate i have to go thru the other modes to get back to zap. Sounds silly typing it but in the field i would like a remote that toggles between modes differently. say a button for beep, a button for vibrate and another for zap (static shock)Secondary complaint: Belt clip not strong enough to hold on to pants. I hooked a wrist band to it and just have it around my wrist when working in the yard or fished thru a belt loop when you need your hands.Also - The zap is STRONG. 3 works for my dog - 6 month old GSD and AUSSIE. I would hate to see 100. Sweet Jesus that would hurt. ALWAYS try it on yourself before you zap you pooch. That's only fair! The shock is sort of a two-fer. It hits and the jolts again. It is quick but it is a definite two part to it. Kinda like a heartbeat Da-dum.All in all. Is it like the ultra expensive ones that exist? No. Does it work? YES Does it give you results? Yes. Am i glad i bought it? YES. Is my dog a happy dog? I would say YES.

Runs out of juice too fast, needs to be re-charged daily - even if only used 15 minutes a day!But when charged, it works well. 2 chargers would be nice, since both collar and remote need to be charged daily.

I used this for a while but it stop working. I don't know what the cause was for it to stop it was good for a few months they it just died and the light wouldn't come back on, no matter my attempts to charge. I had another brand I used for my larger dogs and since they didn't need them any more I just switched them onto the pups when they were big enough to fit the older collars because they are still working.I wouldn't buy this brand again. The company refunded my money for the faulty collars set. I would say the customer service is good on their part. They wanted to make the purchase right. I waited a while to review the item and having just left it in July 2017, they still refunded my money. I know they wanted me to give more stars which I think pushes it a bit. Yes the CS was excellent but the product itself is iffy. Perhaps you will have better luck with them. If they don't work out let the company know.

The product appeared ok testing in my hand, but I never got further than that. When I plugged each of the collar units in to charge, the connector inside the unit appears to have broken off. The pin was quite small and tight on the charging cord, so it required slightly more force than, say, my laptop connector, but it took very little force to break. The remote unit seems fine, and the instructions are clear. Too bad the construction is so weak.Update: Feb. '17.Esky was gracious enough to contact me and offer me a replacement set, after my original return. It arrived, and I have put it though some basic use. This set did not fail immediately and is working as it should. I was able to plug in the collar units and charge them without damage. The three modes function as they should, and the remote does it's job. The flash light LED isn't working, but I'm not worried about that part. Kudos do Esky's customer service!

This collar was working for our dog. We returned our first Esky Collar, because the vibration mode didn't work from the start; however, their customer service was excellent and they sent us a new one that worked well.... until the remote started dying very quickly. I have to recharge the remote more than once a day now. Obviously, I have a defective product. Their product is good when it works. The shock mode is strong! Beware of the strength! We started it on 20 out of 100 and our dog yelped and jumped off the ground. The 3-7 range worked just fine. It is remote control only, so it will only shock or correct when you are there to correct.

These are okay for small/medium dogs, but I wouldn't recommend this for larger dogs.I bought two sets, one for a medium (bulldog) and one for my large dog (rottweiler.) This works very well for the bulldog and the shock feature has more than enough power (I keep it turned down.) However for the rottweiler, even though the electric shock is turned up to maximum level it's still not much more to her than a strong itch (she lifts her leg to scratch under the collar as though she really does have an itch. It provides very little (if any) deterrent.We are also now having an issue with the collar that we use for the bulldog. The collar keeps losing connect with the remote. I have to go jiggle the collar and it will mysteriously start to work again. This is frustrating because it happens nearly 50% of the time that I try to use the remote to correct her behavior (and this is even after a full charge.)I'm not going to bash on these collars too much. They are very inexpensive and a good starter for puppies, but when your dog grows up, they probably would have worn out or won't provide any further deterrent.

Ordered the collar on the notes it was "Waterproof". Once I seen the word I ordered it, come to find out in later they call it "Water resistant". Two completely different words with separate meanings. You can't call this "Water Proof" then go to talk about "Water resistant". You guys need to fix your language and remove "Proof" if it cannot be submerged indefinitely. So far, this seems to be a pretty good shock collar. The battery charged quickly, and I appreciate that the collar came with a ring for a leash. I do not like the way the buttons are configured, since the biggest button is the "Mode" button, not the actually shock button. Also, it's cumbersome to switch between modes quickly; you can't really use them all at the same time to give warnings before the shock. Also, the level 20 shock (out of 100) seemed to be hurting my 50lb lab mix excessively; I backed it down to 10 and it seems better, but I can't imagine what going all the way to 100 would do

Very weak I should have know better but I have a really big dog I was just trying to be a cheap ass like allways was planning on testing it out on buddies littler dog but never mad it to it but it did make my big dog stop for a sec but wasn't strong enof to let him know he was in trouble but the vibration sacres him so that makes him stop but yea I need a stronger one got a black lab/great Dane he's a big boy

Works well for a while and the it won't hold a charge and dies very quickly. The collar was also made for a very large dog so I had to buy a new one and change it out.

Excellent controller with a long battery life, however the screen is VERY dark and has no light, and the molded plastic clips used the slide the strap through broke within 6 months of having this item. I suggest spending a few dollars more and getting the plastic collar version that has a lighted controlled.

I am very disappointed in this device. While it does work and the pet does respond to it. It has to be reset fairly often. For instance if the remote is left in the back room and the pet is on the other end of the house it will not work. Then when you bring the 2 closer together still nothing. Then have to take the collar off and scoot the collar out of the way of the reset button. Only once it is reset will it work again. Then this needs to be repeated every time the 2 go out of range from each other.

I purchased this item almost two weeks ago. I first received the item and immediately noticed that the light on the collar did not work. I was not very concerned with that, because I didn't intend to use that function. I continued on with the product, because the vibrate and shock function was working properly. I was quickly seeing results from my 5 month old puppy and was extremely satisfied with this collar. About two days ago, the collar stopped working. I would attempt to use it on my very lively and outgoing puppy and she was not responding...AT ALL. I was so confused. I tried to charge both the collar and charger a full night to see if i saw change and unfortunately I did not. Before committing to this product, I read all the reviews and was certain that this collar was the one for us. I am exchanging it to give it another change (maybe i had a dudd) and will be getting a new one in a week or so. I WILL edit my review if i see improvement otherwise I will be looking elsewhere, even if that means spending $75-$120 for one that is reliable.

The product had easy to follow instructions on set up. We charged the remote and the collar as instructed and it was very easy to sync them together. We used the tone and vibrate functions and the tone worked the first few times to correct our 6 month old labs behavior. After the first few times, she got used to it and there was no option to make it louder. We only got to use the vibrate once and did so at the full strength and it didn't really phase her. After a week, the red light came on to charge the collar. We did so for the recommended 6 hours and attempted to use it again. Well, after a week, it stopped working. Still giving it two stars because it worked well initially and I am returning to amazon for a refund.

We purchased this collar to use as an aid in correcting some of our dogs bad behaviors, not coming when called, jumping on our young children, and other disobedience issues. I prefer to use the vibrate mode to give ample warning then give a gentle shock. When it works and does send the signaled commanded to the collar it works well, although the shock portion does seem to go from 0-60 in one step. When you have it one a low level such as 5 it doesn't seem to do anything then when you go from like 13-15 it goes from nothing to shocking the dog too much!This collar intermittently responds to the remote and it doesn't consistently respond or not respond. The distance between you and the collar make no difference when it's not responding we have had issues when it is at 3 yards out or 3 inches out. We have tried using the other channel and that made no difference. We have tried many different ways to get the collar and remote to communicate like holding the button down for longer intervals and it doesn't make a difference. Now on to other aspects. the mode button is where the button that sends commands to the collar should be so you end up switching modes accidentally or not being able to send your dog a reminder warning when he's actually doing the undesired behavior because you have to flip back to the mode you intended on using and then try to send the command. the channel button makes it extremely easy to flip between channels accidentally, which then causes the remote and collar to not communicate at all.

Too complicated to use. Trying to switch between modes, and then apply correction, is tedious and cannot be done rapidly when needed. Look for a different remote style with separate physical, dedicated Vibrate vs. Shock buttons instead.Battery life is fine. Range is fine. Voltage level can be tricky to figure out - my GSD completely ignores anything below 80, but acts like anything over 80 is genuinely painful. We've stopped bothering to find the right level for the shock function, we are only using it for the vibrate alerts any more.

When it works it works well. I was hoping to exchange mine for a new unit since the handheld monitor is broken; where the plug is to be inserted came loose and has fallen into the monitor and I cannot get the unit open to repair/glue back in place (maybe?), however I have exceeded the terms of the exchange policy by a couple months. The collar has something rattling around in it as well, so when I want to synch the 2 devices I need to shake the collar and make a few attempts to have it synch. At times I can't trust that it will remained synchronized as it has failed on a couple of occasions and at one point I ended up chasing my dog down in my truck after he began chasing a rabbit. I am forced to purchase a new one but it will not be from this company as the construction is unreliable. Buyer Beware.

Works great! The collar is actually a large collar. It is adjustable well up to about 100 pounds of dog. I mostly use the vibration setting for my dog to discourage behavior....I have used the shock setting once, for the sake of my cat, it is very powerful just on a low setting of 5! Would NOT recommend going very high on shock! Remote is easy to use and durable. Unit is easily charged. Bought a different one several months ago for higher price only to have it not work very well and then just stopped working all together. Was skeptical about this one due to the low price but it has proved to be awesome.Re-review 5 months later....Broken. Do not use it consistently, when not in use it is charges and put away until next time. Got it out today to start retraining on some new bad habits and it's broken. The transmitter has 2 holes on the side. One for reset and the other for charging. Something has fallen apart on the inside because the charger is not connecting with anything. So! ISO good training collar/remote that will withstand general use.

I've used a lot of training collars over the years and this one is by far the cheapest one I've used. My dog has a small neck so the collar that they sent with it doesn't really work. To use that collar on my dog, the doubled up portion has to go over the unit which causes it not to sit properly. The charging port is under where the collar runs over the unit so to charge you have to take it off every time. The directions that comes with does not include basic set up. For instance it doesn't tell you to pick what size prongs you want and to attach them to the collar unit. (If your dog has short hair use the shorter ones). The length of the prongs do not make any difference in how the collar works, just allows them to make good contact through thick undercoats.The range is about what they say, but greatly improves with line of sight. So if you are using it for a dog that stays around you but not necessarily where you can see them, you might want a different collar. Once you figure everything out on your own, it's a decent unit for the price. But the lack of ease to charge is a real pain. I haven't figured out yet if there's a way to shut the actual collar off in addition to the remote to cut down on how often I have to charge it. I do t have to use it often so sometimes I go to grab it and the battery has depleted. Which then defeats the purpose of having bought the collar in the first place.

This is my third Esky E-Collar and every one of them has failed. The first two failed after about 4 or 5 months and I suspect that was due to moisture. The box says "Water Proof" but if you look carefully at the instructions it states that the e-collar is only water resistant - but I wouldn't even call it that. The most recent collar was given to me as a replacement for the second failed collar. I received the 3rd collar on October 12, 2015 and this week (December 11, 2015) it failed - only 2 months after receiving it AND when I tried to return it I couldn't because the "warrantee" was expired. Really ! ! ! After TWO MONTHS ? I have gotten a great deal of support from a Customer Service employee at HisGaget over the last year - she has gone way beyond my expectations. But this product is totally unreliable. I would suggest that HisGaget drop this product.

JUNK. AVOID.I have purchased two, the first May 2015. Both failed. They work great--for about a month or two. Now, most people don't use or need them longer than that. But I did, for a different dog. It no longer charges, OR the collar no longer receives.AVOID and buy one that is more expensive that will last.

This collar didn't do anything for my dog. We followed all the instructions 100%, the collar fit properly, everything. We started with the lowest setting of course, and when we hit the shock button my dog didn't even flinch. We gradually worked our way up to the highest setting and still nothing. This whole setup was a complete waste of time and money. Useless.

I've had this for a long time. It's cheap I know so I can't complain but with this you get what you pay for I've used it once in the time I had it because I was working with my dog and anytime he got more than 10ft. from me it wouldn't work. When It does work It only has one button that you use to cycle thru a bunch of different settings either shock, beeb, vibrate or a light I think and it's to hard to get to the setting that I want in the moment. It needs to have like a button for each or something. Idk I just didn't like it.

Short version is, you get what you pay for.Here is the long version.My dog is a runner. When he gets out he is gone and there is no getting him back, I have to just wait for him to come back on his own, or pick him up from animal control if they get him first.I had bought this hoping I could train the dog to not go through the front door and then eventually take it off of him. I didn't want him to associate the new collar with the shocks so my plan was to leave it on him for a couple days and then start the training. I rigged the front door so that he could push it open but not get all the way through. Then I waited outside for him to take the bait. Within minutes he was at the door pushing it open. I pushed the button over and over and nothing happened. I went back in and took it off him and tested it. It seemed to be working fine. I put it back on him, tested with the beep feature and it worked. So I waited another couple days. The same thing happen again, nothing.I eventually figured out that it would stop working until you shook it or smacked it or something like that.A couple days after the third attempt at training the dog got loose. I saw him get out the door, so I grabbed the transmitter and went after him. I hit it a few times as he was running down the road with no reaction from him at all.About two weeks later someone called and said they had our dog. Of course the collar wasn't on him anymore.

Horrible product for us. The charging pin became dislodged. At times, the collar would not charge, and then it seemed to malfunction while on our dog. I went to try and help her and she grabbed my thumb as she was reaching to bite the collar. Needless to say....ER visit, followed by being admitted into the hospital for 4 days with a serious infection in my thumb from a dog bite. I came super close to going into surgery. I still do not have full range of motion back in my thumb. MY ADVICE? Stay away from this static collar. I would try citronella collars next. If you absolutely feel a static collar is the way to go......get a more reliable model.

This collar started shocking my dog when the remote was turned off and inside. I'm glad I was outside with her at the time or who knows how long it would have kept going off for.

I cannot believe this goes to 100. I'm TERRIFIED of what 100 would do to me, and I weigh twice as much as my dog. My thinking on this product was "train her to the sound, then escalate with vibration, and shock in emergencies." Unfortunately, she does not react to either of the first two. My trainer said the sound isn't right for dogs: it's too low. Likewise, the vibration is pretty meh. Gets no reaction from her at all. Meanwhile, the shock setting, at 2/100, caused my 60 lb dog to rear up and jerk like a character in a movie that's being electrocuted. Horrifying as that was, I might consider keeping it for aforementioned emergencies if it worked consistently. But when I was zapping myself (I would describe 2/100 as "really unpleasant but not painful"), the shock was erratic. Sometimes a quick press of the remote worked, other times I had to hold it down for anything to happen, and then ended up getting a long jolt. If I'm going to do that to my dog, I want the results to be predictable.

I have a husky who is 50 lbs. He pulls and lunges on a leash. I got this to train with him. However, it's made very poorly. The D ring to hook the leash is made of cheap plastic. My sis and I had taken our dog to a popular tourist area where there tons of people around, and the D ring had broken off! THANK GOD I was walking ahead of my sister and my dog. I turned around and got a grab of my dog before he could run off. He doesn't come called and this would have been a disaster! Since I did not have a extra collar in hand, we took the leash and hooked it around the collar fabric itself. And to top everything off, while my dog lunged at other dogs and certain people walking by, we had lost the SHOCK box. It had fallen off sometime during our walk. THERE GOES MY MONEY. I say pay more money and get something very sturdy that will work for big dogs. The whole day was a nightmare, because of this issue.

I have had this item barely I month. It is no longer eligible for return and the remote just went blank. I can use it connected to the charger, but it will no longer hold a charge on its own. These collars did not work out very well. They were fine at first - until all the problems crept in. This was the second set I purchased because we lost one of the collars from the first set. The dogs somehow got out of it. Of course, that may not have been the fault of the manufacturer, but another problem is that the receivers connect to the collars with great difficulty and not very securely. Poor design there. The charging port is located under the collar. So, the receiver must be removed from the collar and replaced in order to charge the receiver - not an easy feat. The charge port is covered by a very small and ill-fitting plastic plug. One broke off completely within a week. This may have allowed water to seep in and cause some of the electronics problems. Within six weeks, the receivers and the transmitters were exhibiting unreliable function. While the transmitter and collars worked well at first and had good range, I would have given them a higher rating if they had functioned longer than six weeks. Not recommended.

I liked this so much for the first 2 weeks we had it. I wanted to train my dog to stay out of the kitchen and to stop barking on his run. I used the vibrate setting a lot while training and it broke him of both things fairly quickly. I used the shock setting only a few times and it certainly got his attention. But it stopped working after a month. I would try to use it and it wouldn't work, I had to take it off and hit the reset button and then it would work again. but it wouldn't work when I needed it to. Pretty annoyed. If I buy another shock collar I'll probably spend a little more money.Update ***the company contacted me and sent me a replacement for free! Great company! Friendly and helpful! The collar worked great, I only needed to use vibration for our dog to respond.However I will not recommend this too anyone.My wife went to give our dog a bath since he smelled. She had to pull the collar out of his neck. The collar was on for only two days. It was on much longer at other points. However this time something happened to the prongs causing them to start to rust and inbed themselves into our dog.Now I'm treating a major infection.Never again!
