Side by Side Comparison of: Retro Rewind vs Carrera

Seriously the best sun glasses I have. I bought them for a summer holiday thinking "it's so cheap, even if it's crap, at least I won't worry about loss or damage" but I use them almost every day. The quality of the polarized lens is AMAZING, it's even better than many Ray Ban's I own, which were all at least $200, so this product is definitely a gem and steal. I'm honestly surprised they haven't sold out or taken a price hike. The only downside I would mention is that the model I have (matte black) the matte paint has started to peel due to sea water, sun lotion, sweat, sand etc. I don't mind because this is so friggin cheap, as soon as it becomes too worn, I'll just buy another one!

Love these shades! These polarized flexible sunglasses get the job done and the polarized version make them even more practical. I use them everyday. Whether its driving or hanging out at the beach, they are probably the most economical pair I've ever owned. Instead of buying a super expensive pair, I'll wind up buying a bunch of these should they break or get lost.

Ordering another pair for my husband. A little larger than a ray ban, but they look good on both of us... Lenses seem good/protective. Fit is good, and I've dropped them several times with no problem. The lenses didn't even scratch with dropping (yet). I like that I can just wear them wherever and not worry about loosing expensive glasses.

I really enjoy these sunglasses for many reasons. Firstly, they truly are polarized lenses which is a plus for any serious sunglass wearer. ALSO, these are direct replicas of the Sonic Sunglasses that the 12th Doctor from Doctor Who wears, so it is good for cosplay too! All in all, a good fit, made of solid materials, a great buy!

These are the exact pair of glasses my husband bought from a kiosk at our shopping center. It was twice the price in person so I was relived to see it for $10. I bought the black regular frames (not matte) and they came pefect! They were still tightly screwed and not scartched. I've actually been wearing them for the past few days and no problems what so ever! I didn't experience any chopping of the paint or staining (mind you it gets past 103 degrees here in the summer time. It's a great purchase!

Received these today and was very impressed. The fit (52mm lens) is same as my prescription glasses. The quality is very good and the delivery time was just a few business days. I bought 2 pair 1BLK/1WHT and I am extremely pleased with Price/Quality&fit/&delivery speed. Highly recommend these for the car, & the beach.

I have always been a fan of Carrera sunglasses. I saw these glasses at the mall retailing for about $160 and found them here for almost half price. I can see very well and clear when the sun is bright, they have a nice shade (tone) if you know what I mean. I would recomend these sunglasses to my friends. They are great!!

I first discovered Carrera through the movie "Rush". Chris Hemsworth's character wears them exclusively throughout the movie, and I really liked the look. This is my first purchase, and I must say I am extremely satisfied. The quality and look is over-and-above anything else in its price range. Carrera makes Oakley and Ray-Ban look like cheap gas station sunglasses. The attention to detail is outstanding. I have a large head (7 5/8 in fitted hats), and these fit perfectly. These sunglasses scream "celebrity". I would be remiss, however, if I didn't mention these glasses tend to slide down my nose a bit when it's oily/sweaty due to heat. Not due to the size (or lack thereof) of the nose piece, but simply because there is no gripping surface... it's just smooth plastic. Depending on your nose shape, this may or may not be an issue for you.

Originally rated 5 stars, now a few months later near my ear the black is starting to wear away and underneath I can clearly see purple...so they took a pair of purple glasses and dipped it in something to color it black....guess not as good quality as I first thought. Good glasses but like wtf really?!Disappointed.

I'm a fan of the glasses just a bit disappointed that I found similar pair at a swap meet for cheaper. But these are great glasses, they are polarized and the style looks great. I wanted an affordable pair for when I wear contacts to the summer parties. My old cheap pair had poor visibility and made me feel my contacts were not the right prescription. Will these everything is clear!!

Risky Business? James Dean? These budget-friendly RayBan knockoffs give you the look of a '50s movie star at a popcorn price. Sure, there's no way they will ever be mistaken for genuine Wayfarers, but they're not really trying to. The polarized lenses reduce eye strain and make driving easier, and the black frames exude a cool nonchalance.

I love the rubberized texture and polarized lens BUT they are larger than the original Ray-bans. They looked more like aviator/Jackie O sunglasses than wayfarers in terms of size. I have a narrow face and these were a big large. If you're looking for a larger wayfarer then this is for you.

These are a good find. They are larger than the comparable Ray Bans mentioned in other posts. I'm posting a comparison pic as someone in my office has them. The Ray Bans are on the right in the pic. These are slightly wider, taller and thicker but still good. The Ray Bans are also a matt finish while these are glossy. Overall, I like them as backup sunglasses but be aware they may be too large for some faces.

I would definitely recommend buying!!! The sunglasses are quite stylish and comfortable. These are the glasses I now prefer to use when driving, they cut back on a lot of the light and glares. The only reason I rate them a 4 and not a 5 is because the lens do move a tiny bit inside of their respective frame. They won't fall out or anything but they slightly shift in place. Other than that they are almost perfect!

Great glasses. Didnt want to go through the trouble of returns. Probably just buy another pair. But they gave me red lens instead of grey which was the order. But really good glasses. There a bit fragile, and not very dark, but finding glasses are a pain for me because I have a pretty big head so if you have the same problem as me, these are a good choice. Taking a star for sending me the wrong order.

Slick look my only negative which is kinda a big deal is.... They need either a nose piece to hold in place or a little rubber to keep them from sliding off your nose. I'm constantly adjusting them and it's pretty annoying. If it wasn't for that 5 stars for sure if you want style

The glasses are a bit dirty fresh out of the box, they appear to be used. It's because of the packaging, I ordered the black frame/grey gradient style. They're very masculine, I was afraid they'd be feminine. The lenses are dark almost black like I was hoping. I'm very happy, I would leave 5 stars but they arrived with minor scratches and dirty.

The sunglasses arr nice but it would be noce if the had a cleaning cloth inside. Also the leather strap that it has in the front had 2 loose threads. Other than that the look great and case is nice. Also, the shipping was verry fast!!

I love lightweight glasses. These are great. I just wish the lenses were a little darker. Also, the first pair I received, developed a "film" on the outer lens, and kept spreading. I tried to clean them multiple times with no victory. But as always, Amazon returns came through with GREAT customer service, received my replacement pair in 2 days, and they are perfect.

I was first taken a little back when I handled the product and looked at it closer.My first thought that came on to my mind was "Are these fake?"It couldn't have been, I mean these were coming from Amazon's warehouses themselves. The reason being was I only knew of Carrera sunglasses that are made in Slovenia or Italy but never China. I soon found out that they are also produced in China but of course the build quality is not as good as the other two former countries.For the price one can't complain. They are still authentic Carrera glasses just made in China and look a little off than usual.Still build quality is good, lens is dark enough to really block out the sun, and it looks good.For people with short noses or very shallow bridge of the nose may find these glasses a little too big.

These are pretty good, fair materials, except for the screws holding the arms to the frame. For the first month or so, the arms will be very, very tight, but will eventually loosen. The problem arises when they becomes so loose that you might want to tighten them.I didn't even know such brittle, weak metal existed in our modern world, but those screws are terrible. I'm almost suspicious that they're not actually screws, but rivets disguised as screws, because no amount of careful use of screwdrivers will result in the screws tightening at all. It's really strange, and I wonder how these will hold up over the long term. They may be "one summer" glasses, so perfect if you tend to lose your sunglasses each year and always need to buy a new pair (which...unfortunately describes me). But if you want glasses that will hold up long-term, buy something else.

These are "ok" for the price. I purchased them at the last minute because someone stole my Revos. These sunglasses are NOT Revos or even close. The lenses are huge (52mm) and I feel like a Kardashian wearing them :) When I asked customer service if they had the style with smaller lenses they sent me a link to the Kids section. Not cool. These are "ok" for backup glasses, but they're not high end by any stretch.

These are great basics and don't get caught in my curly hair due to the thick rubbery frames, but the black paint tends to chip off and even rub off on the skin, which is annoying. The lenses themselves are nice and don't cause headaches like other sunglasses do due to weird tints or tightness.

Giving three stars as it is what was described but doesn't fit me. I was expecting to get sunglasses that were normal size and thought this would probably fit my face. I received them and they were too small. The very tip of the sunglasses barely reached my ear. I ended up just giving them to my mom as she has a smaller head but if you think you have a big head, definitely don't get these as they will be too small. My head is slightly bigger than normal and they didn't fit.

I general, the quality was ok. I would have given 5 stars, but one of the lenses does not fit in the socket. It has a 1/16" gap at the bottom where it appears the material was to small it was cut out of. I received 2 of these, and only 1 socket of 1 pair was deficient.

I like to have things for at least a month before I make reviews. I wore these a few times since it's starting to get sunny here. Today I wore them and when I took them off the handle was broke. I absolutely loved these sunglasses but the quality of the frame is really bad.

They are nice shades ... They're just a bit too big for my head and would fall off of I leaned over too far. If you have a larger face/head ... They would be great.

Sunglasses that I ordered was not the correct one, instead I got the white one and didn't want to return and wait. If I decide to order again I hope to receive the correct ones. Overall I like the sunglasses because it's different and fits well.

Love this glasses, have had three pairs before that I've lost, these feel cheaper and flimsier that the ones I've gotten before. The little "leather" strap only lasted about a month before the top layer of the leather peeled off but overall for the price that I played I feel I got my money's worth

It came in a plastic ziplock bag, no cleaning wipe cloth, really nice can't complain about it. And a card from were the glasses came from?

So these arrived quickly (although I believe this company ships out of NYC and I'm right over in NJ) and they are very nice, stylish sunglasses; however, there's no doubt in my mind that these are fake.This will be the last time I order any name brand product through Amazon, because it has FINALLY become clear to me (50+ name brand products later) that these companies make you think you're getting a really great deal on something that would normally be very expensive, when in reality it costs them less than $5 to make and they're banking off of it. It's actually pretty smart considering millions of people, myself included, believe these products are the real thing and are purchased consistently...but I won't be any more.I wasn't planning on saying all of that but it just came out haha. Nice sunglasses though....but I'd rather have the real ones.

Decent for the price if you want a cheap pair of polarized glasses to take on a trip. My mistake was thinking they would last. I wore them about 20 times before the frame broke at the hinge. We examined it and they, as you would expect, are very cheaply made. I'm not a fan of expensive glasses but my $100 pair have lasted over two years and that's simply more economical.

I really liked the style of these sunglasses, went for the matte ones. However, they left a black residue on my face. I'm not sure if it was the style, or a combination of my sunblock and sweat during vacation, but I did not like that I had to constantly be checking my face for black marks from the sunglasses.

These sunglasses look great, however I bought the matte ones and they leave black marks on my nose after wearing them. It was horribly embarrassing the first time I wore them and someone asked me why the bridge of my nose was black. Unfortunately they have continued to leave black marks on my nose even after wearing several times so I have stopped wearing them, it is a shame.

You get what you pay for. The polarization works well and are easy to clean.However the matte black color came with an unsettling side effect: The black would rub off on my ears, bridge of my nose, and under my eyes. Even after washing multiple times I occasionally get residue.

I ordered two pairs of these as a replacement for another pair I had bought on Amazon previously called - Rivacci Men Women Wayfarer Tortoise Frame. I wish I would have just ordered those again. These are way too big for my face, both fit-wise and aesthetically, whereas the Rivacci brand fit perfectly. These are definitely lower quality, which is to be expected for being 25% of the price of the others. When I need sunglasses again, I will pay the $15 extra and order the Rivacci.

These sunglasses are good but I wouldn't waste my money on them. Here's Why!Pros:This product is decent in the sun. These sunglasses aren't ray-bans but I use them on my motor cycle and they work pretty great.They come with sunglasses holders which is great, and I think a wipe.Cons:When I got these sunglasses they were actually scratched. This is why I had to rate at a 2 star. I dislike when products come damaged.

Made in china, the leather strap with the carrera logo fell off and you have to tighten the screws often. The design is nice but bad quality.

Like many others say I am starting to question the authenticity of this product. I will keep them coz I'm too far away to return but I am not pleased. As far as the actual,product goes...they're very stylish and I've gotten quite a few compliments on the day that I wore them, but they're a bit heavier than I'm used to and the sit a bit low on your nose. These were bought for a friend who also has an amazon account and he says that this was the final straw for him as far as ordering brand name products from Amazon is concerned. NOT IMPRESSED!!!

Feel and look fake

They seem to be used, there was dirt and sweat marks there was also some scratches and there made in China!!, the box was all scratched and there was finger prints all over, for such a high end product I would expect a little more, like a cleaning rag, even the $5 sun glasses come with one!!!! Kinda disappointed and irritated (I almost never give bad reviews but I payed for something new and high end and I got this...) Horrible packaging. The sunglass case is cheaply made and the inside peelings apart from first time i opened it. The case only opens with excessive force. The sunglasses do look and feel great. The reason for only 2 stars is for the very poor packaging, the cheap broken case, no cleaning wipe. Makes me question the authenticity of the new sunglasses.

Not happy consumer. Too expensive. Did not fit right. Dropped twice, broken and not usable. Never again

if sunscreen touches it, the black coating will get eroded and comes off the product....

One lens will not stay in. When I clean them the lens pops out and when I walk against the wind it shakes. Would not recommend. I know they are cheap, but I can't even wear them.

The hinge screw on one side was over tightened and you can't really fold the hinge closed without making a very loud squeaking noise as you force it.

Sunglasses were at first great. I purchased them for an upcoming vacation. As soon as I began to wear them the black coating on the frames started to flake off. By the fourth day of wearing them there was almost none of the black covering left, and was just making a mess. I ended up throwing them away after using them 5-10 times.

These are absolute garbage. Lasted for a few days, but literally crumbled and peeled apart in the sun. Apparently they are neon green under the black coating. You get what you pay for.

Received sunglasses in a small package with other sunglasses crammed together. The lenses are scratched and the right lens pops out too easily.Had to throw them away a day or two later because they were too flimsy.

The glasses are your typical aviator Carrera but the cheap accent leather gave it a bad review - don't buy these it's a flawed design and should be replaced with good leather for the sake of the brand.

Once again these feel cheaply made. The black lens almost looks brown when sun reflects. I returned this product.

Do not buy these shade from this brand. The shade are not real and are not what you think they will be. Once you get them and try to return, the vendor will not contact you back and you will have to submit a case to Amazon.

Ordered the black frames but somehow received the black crystal grey frames which takes away from the simple look my dad likes to wear:( unfortunately Christmas is in a few days and I will probably end up giving it to him anyways. Just wish I would've received the right pair.
