Five Star Reviews: | 67% As Advertised August 29, 2017 This item is exactly as described - the multi-pack arrived with 12 0.07oz tubes of superglue, neatly packaged. The large package (containing the 12 tubes) closes securely so you don't need to worry about losing or spilling the individual tubes while storing them. The glue itself works as advertised, bonding immediately and strongly. The only negative in my view is that the superglue tubes don't have an integral method to break the seal - usually there is a sharp point on the cap to break the seal of the tube, but with these you need to break the seal yourself using some other sharp object. FABULOUS Product!! May 28, 2017 There are two things in this world that should come in size petite and Super Glue is one of them! (The other is Great Stuff, that expandable foam that you can only use once!!) These are FABULOUS. Great for any one job and on the next job you don't find yourself having to clip the tip to get the glue to come out the second time. I absolutely cannot rave about this enough. Perfect size to use for a project and toss without feeling guilty. Can start the next project without the frustration of trying to get the glue to come out. Woo Hoo for super glue packs!! It's actually a very nice design because it is its own safe storage container October 26, 2016 I made sure that I purchased this because it was so obvious to me from so many of the reviews and responses on this listing, that most people purchasing this are not necessarily the brightest bunch. So many people having difficulty getting to the glue. This must be a manufacturing blunder. It's a clamshell package people! I litterally purchased this JUST to open the package! Sure, I may need some glue in the future... but right now, it's all about finding out what all the fuss is about.Cut through the middle of the label and pull it apart! Whalah! It's as simple as that! It's actually a very nice design because it is its own safe storage container. The plastic is thick because it's reusable and they don't want you accidentally spilling the glue or crushing the case. You need to give it a little bit of force to pop apart but it does open fairly easy. If it was any easier to open, kids could get inside and glue their lips together.I don't normally feel like I need to insult other reviewers but seriously... you can't open the package so you leave a bad review or go on Amazon and ask a question about how to open?? One reviewer even broke an expensive antique and made a mess trying to glue it back together and even glued their fingers together... is this a product fault!?? No! It's user error. I guess I shouldn't expect too much from a majority who has a need to glue things back together... but come on... it's common sense.Another reviewer left a bad review stating that the glue tubes themselves were difficult to get into, stating that the cap (which is normally used to puncture a new tube), is smaller than the openeing on the tube... therefore making the tubes useless since they can't puncture the new seal. Seariously?? All you need to do is unscrew the cap, remove the red ring/washer which is obviously loose and no longer needed, and then tighten the cap back on which punctures the seal. I'm no rocket scientist, but I used very basic mechanical logic to figure these things out... and although I didn't read the instructions on the main container, I am almost certain that it explains this on there as well (edit: it actually DOES explain in the first line in the instructions how to puncture the tube). It's actually a very smart packaging system all the way around.Whatever though. Just wanted to show future buyers that the package is intentionally designed with stronger plastic and is meant to be pulled apart in two pieces... not ripped apart with a box knife.Great deal on the glue, I'm sure it will come handy when I need to glue my fingers together. Perfect! July 26, 2016 Really I only needed to get a regular sized bottle, just for basic house-hold use, but the price was pretty nice so I figured I'd go with the bulk little bottles. I didn't realize how much better it would turn out to be. I usually get so stressed about dealing with glue building up on the bottle and the cap getting all gross and sticky that I end up throwing away half of a regular sized bottle because it's all dried out and tough to deal with. Since these ones only hold .07oz of glue, I find myself using a whole bottle for a project and then tossing the bottle without having to deal with getting the cap back on and not getting glue everywhere. May be a little more wasteful to throw away a bunch of small tubes, but it's better than throwing away half of a full sized bottle because the cap is stuck on. It'd be easy to stash one of these bottles in your purse too, in case of emergencies. Super Glue is great, what else is there to say? June 23, 2016 This is a great value pack of super glue, the magic that keeps my house in one piece. I usually only use it to fix figurines and nick nacks, and it makes them look good as new if I find all the pieces! I used this to fix my headphones that cracked, and they are strong as ever, so this product saved me from investing in another expensive set of headphones. The packaging is tricky but not impossible given some patience. The size of the tubes are perfect, I can use one tube for quite a few fixes. Having multiple tubes is a great idea, it keeps me from using too much or wasting it all if the cap is accidentally left off. This is the same stuff that glued my mother's fingers together when I was growing up, the best fast drying sticky stuff that was ever made. No other brand has ever gotten this right. Dont break your head or the packaging, it comes apart easily July 10, 2015 For those who are having trouble opening it, I have posted a couple of pictures. You don't need to break the box. It comes apart in two halves. You just need to pull on the *handle* and coax the two *notches* on the sides to release. It's very sensible packaging for a dozen tubes of superglue in my opinion. Easy to apply and works fine. | 76% Gel CA glue is so easy to control October 24, 2017 Modelers alert, you should add this to your supply inventory. Gel CA glue is so easy to control. Like ultra thin cement from Tamiya, this will become your workhorse. Especially with resin, ABS, or photo etch challenges. Small tubes just perfect for one job. October 14, 2017 Happy with price and quantity. THe individual smaller tubes are just right. Keeps the others sealed and unopened until the next job. Best Bang for Your Buck October 8, 2017 Received promptly, 12 tubes is a good median between packets of one, two or three that I'd likely be out of when needed and wholesale quantities I'd likely never use up. I've made two minor repairs on my pickup truck, one that would have cost ~$100 for a new taillight and refastened a license plate marker that would have kept me from getting an inspection sticker. I've still got nine tubes left and this purchase has paid for itself many times over.IMPORTANT CHILD SAFETY! The outer container is difficult for even an adult man to open, and that's a good thing, because my young grandchildren think that if Grampy can do it, so can they. Once I open and use a tube it's thrown away regardless of how much may be left. No small bit of glue is worth the risk of a child being injured. Five Stars September 16, 2017 Super strong. I used this for a mosaic project on my fireplace surround. It turned out great. Easy to use August 18, 2017 Much easier to use than the water-thin original. The package is somewhat hard to open. Great deal February 24, 2016 I opened the first tube and was able to make a repair to a ceramic vase that had a piece about the size of a baseball broke out of it. I put a thick bead of glue around the whole baseball size broken piece and repaired the vase. I made several more smaller repairs and still have some glue left in the first tube. I still have 11 tubes left ! For 4 or 5 bucks this is a fantastic deal. If the tube dries up just toss it and grab a fresh one. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Four Star Reviews: | 13% I brought this good item(s) and did not have any issues with it ... May 12, 2017 I brought this good item(s) and did not have any issues with it OK; the packaging is somewhat hard or tricky to open, But if you know how to open it, then it's all good ! You just have to carefully break or cut around the middle section part where the labels are intact. It worked perfectly fine for me, as I had no problems at all, even when I opened it up too get a tube out & use it. You just gotta know what you are doing, otherwise you will end up in all sorts of bother?, but Not likely at all. So just be careful with opening it, and DO NOT use a sharp utility knife too open it okay ! Good value. Convenient storage and easy to use. March 9, 2017 As other reviewers have said, the box is a little difficult to open. Other than that, it's a convenient way to store these individual tubes of glue. The glue tubes themselves are nicely designed so that they stay sealed until it's time to use one. Then, it's very simple to screw down the dispensing cap after removing the collar, which punctures the seal. No mess, no fuss.I probably would have given it 5 stars except the dispensing nozzle is a little too large for my purposes (fly tying) and it's difficult to control the amount of glue being dispensed. it's fine. Feels like it is drying slower than I'm ... November 6, 2016 First a couple quick notes: opening the packaging isn't that hard. Use a knife to slice the front and back labels first, then just squeeze together along the short sides and pull. Don't cut the plastic. Second, the caps don't have a puncture point because you don't need one. Unscrew the nozzle, remove the red ring spacer, then screw the cap back on. With the plastic ring gone, the nozzle screws all the way on and punctures the seal itself. As far as superglue goes, it's fine. Feels like it is drying slower than I'm used to, but still dried instantly on the fingers. Go figure! Nice Product, Difficult To Open Packaging. May 23, 2016 Firstly I must admit that the packaging of this super glue is not so easy to open, as many others of said. Ultimately I had to use a knife and cut the labeling in the middle, on both sides of the container. From there I had to grab both ends of the container, and pull with a good amount of strength to separate the two halves. Apart from that though, this super glue does exactly what it claims while binding to most surfaces within seconds. Also the value for this purchase is definitely there seeing as how you get a sizable amount of super glue, to last you awhile, at almost a bargain price. If it was not for the packaging of this product that made it so hard to open, then I would have given this super glue five stars completely. Corals and Aquarium glue December 26, 2015 I use these to glue my coral frag plugs onto my live rock. They work very well for this purpose. The packaging for the glue could be a lot better. Sadly, it took me a little bit of time to figure out how to open the package. It also takes a lot of effort getting into the package once opened.I really like the fact that these are basically 1 to 2 uses each. I've found that superglue is not something that can be used multiple times without struggles. As stated previously, I use the super glue to attach coral frags onto live rock. It takes a little bit of time for the glue to set in and sometimes leaves a cloudy white residue behind. Appears to be non toxic to fish.I am going to stick to using this glue for my aquarium. The cost is excellent and works as advertised. Nice to have several of these handy June 18, 2015 Nice to have several of these handy. The box is quite difficult to open! These are the standard type of tubes that will glue themselves shut after one use. But I don't think that makes them one-time-use. If you have a used tube that no longer flows, just use scissors to cut a small slit in the tube and squeeze glue out of that point. (Wipe of the scissors ASAP!) When done, it will glue itself shut. (You can wrap a small strip of paper over the 'wound' to keep it from getting all over stuff.)When you need it again, cut it again. Simple! Now you don't have to throw them away after a single use. | 11% Holds well and does everything you expect super glue to do March 10, 2016 Holds well and does everything you expect super glue to do. The gel is easier to apply without getting it all over your fingers. It does seem to take a little longer to set than the regular type I like the product and it's easy to use January 19, 2016 I like the product and it's easy to use. My only con is that tubes are at-leaset 1/2 filled with air... not much glue in each, so plan to buy more what you think you need. Good August 4, 2015 The larger number of smaller tubes reduces waste but these are harder to handle than the hard plastic applicators, its too easy to over squeeze the tube. The comments on the hard case being difficult to open seem like user error... slit the label between the top and bottom halves and it opens easily. A first aid kit for splits in long fingernails! September 15, 2014 I bought this packet of super glue in these small tubes because I use it to repair cracked fingernails. Somehow when I hunt down the larger tubes or bottles I find that they have dried out or the tops are stuck permanently. Out they go! With these small tubes I can get the use out of a single for a couple of projects and then I rest easy knowing that fresh tubes are waiting for the next emergency. I keep a nail repair kit in a baggie in the bathroom for easy reach. NAIL SPLIT REPAIR:I cover the top of the split with a bit of gel super glue and then apply a snipple of empty tea bag fiber to cover the offending split. You can manipulate the gel and fiber with a toothpick to get the surface as smooth as you can manage. Follow this by applying gel under the fingernail to stabilize the repair. Dip your whole wet nail into clear nail powder(also available on Amazon)and pat/press the top of the nail area to secure the fiber with as few lumps as possible. Do the same for the gel under your nail. Do not attempt to file the excess from the top of the nail until thoroughly cured for several hours. I use a nail file meant for acrylics for a fine finish. Apply base coat and then polish. And voila...I have had the repairs last until the nail grows out. Sometimes a slight re-do is necessary but you will be surprised at the endurance of this method. When you become excellent at this process, the repairs are almost undetectable...even with clear polish! It took me too many years to get this right not to share this with you! | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% Just because it's the original, doesn't mean it's the best April 21, 2017 Don't get me wrong, this stuff works just fine if you're very careful. What I don't like is that it is very hard to work with, and can be really finicky with certain materials. Worst of all, it always seems to find it's way to your hands, and dries instantly!Once again, this stuff still works, you just have to be very careful. If you can do that, you will be getting a bargain. If not, keep the goof-off handy. like one reviewer was saying by insulting people April 11, 2017 As many other people I cannot open the packaging. While it appears intuitive, you just slice the label around the seam and press and pull, it should work, but it doesn't. I have very small hands, yet strong from doing jewelry design all day, I still cannot separate the container once the label is sliced. I never give less than stellar reviews, but ordered 4 of these containers and can open none of them. Thinking it was me, I had my young, very strong, nephew take a crack at it, yep, he couldn't open it either. This has nothing to do with how much common sense you have or how bright you are, like one reviewer was saying by insulting people, it is simply poor packaging. I am guessing not many women can open this packaging. Great price but March 3, 2017 Every time I open a tube it squirts out on my fingers. I've tried every way I can think of but nothing prevents the glue from squirting out when you screw in the dispenser top. I now have to wear plastic gloves when I put on the screw top, which isn't a huge deal but I wish I had known to do this the first couple times. The second time I tried wrapping a paper towel around it, it still got all over my hands. Take my advice, wear gloves when you open this stuff. Packaging needs redesigned, but glue and price are great. December 27, 2016 Glue is a tried and true favorite, but the packaging is awful. First, there is no instructions on how to open it, then, after looking on here, and finding others who were kind enough to show how to open it, I tried it. Unfortunately, my hands were too small to grip it and exert enough pressure to pop it open as others did. I resorted to slitting one side with a knife, so cover came off, but can be replaced for storage. Not child safe, but I have no children in my house, so that is not an issue. Life is too short... October 17, 2016 Life is too short to spend 30 minutes opening a package. I can't say as I have ever had the experience of packaging deterring my likelihood to re-purchase something, but now I can. While I appreciate other reviewers offering suggestions on opening the plastic outer packaging, and applaud their success, after attempting to "coax" it apart, using a box cutter and attempting with scissors, I finally hammered the heck out of it. Which was admittedly satisfying after so many failed attempts. My glue now resides happily in a ziplock bag. Will purchase something else next time. good on plastic, not on wood or ceramic September 19, 2015 I was using mostly krazy glue, but that one is pretty mucha single use tube, so once I saw this one available, with resealable tubes, I bought it immediately.I am not sure why they make it so, but box )where tubes are stored) is really difficult to open. even after you cut the stickers all around, and even when you want to open it second time, this is not an enjoyable task. I am not sure why better design could not be employed. This one sealed plastic really well - after several seconds, I could the pieces go and they stay there. I usually leave them untouched for several hours before using it.Could not bond ceramic - I applied it and pressed the pieces together and hold them for more than a minute, and there was not even a hint of two pieces sticking together. After several attempts, I just cleaned the surfaces from the wet superglue, and applied krazy glue (single-used tube). Pieces were glued in several seconds, and I was able to let them go and leave it for several hours to complete the work.I was not able to glue wood pieces together either with superglue. I would imagine that if you can have the pieces arrange together for a long time, super glue will probably seal it eventually, but that is not always possible. | 7% But works great on fingers March 27, 2017 Doesn't work well on fiber board. But works great on fingers! Does not dry quickly May 23, 2016 This glue takes a long time to dry which is ok if you want to be able to reposition whatever you're trying to glue, however this is not what I was looking for. Work fine and the smaller packs are useful for smaller jobs March 27, 2016 Using these for coral in my salt water fish tank. Work fine and the smaller packs are useful for smaller jobs.On the flip side of that, it is a little annoying how little glue is in each tube at times as I need to go through 2-3 at a time sometimes to get what I need glued. Eh February 15, 2016 Box was an absolute nightmare to get open. We need two people to pry it open. Additionally there was no puncturing device included in the top which seems to be kind of standard in many sealed tubes. The product itself works well though. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
Two Star Reviews: | 5% WARNING Arthritis Customers (especially) April 20, 2017 Warning to Customers with Arthritis: The container these tubes are in is extremely difficult to open, and even once opened, the amount of pressure and maneuvering necessary to disengage the sections is unusually challenging. Also, because these tubes are designed as the original product, the differences are noticeable and if you are used to using any later versions (new, improved, etc.) there's a good chance that opening your first tube will be confusing. These tubes do not have a pointed part within the cap to pierce the foil seal. I could not find anything pointed, so resorted to a nearby knife point (which made a mess). Later, I learned that even though there was not a point inside the cap, there was an "o" shape ring in its place that DID pierce the foil while screwing the cap on. This original version, while applying, is very thin and runny and difficult to control, manage, and keep from dripping excessively. Drying takes much longer than expected. Finally, once I was done I found out that the product had done a better job of sealing skin on my fingertips than it had on its originally intended target! I would not recommend this product to anyone, especially arthritis sufferer, and will be returning this purchase for a more modern version. The savings is simply not worth the inconveniences experienced. THE PACKAGING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN .......... February 17, 2017 I would have given this 5 Stars ....... but the packaging is the WORST packaging I have ever seen. I had to have my grandson get out a hacksaw to open the package because I didn't want to destroy a $50 knife. I can't believe they would put Super Glue in a package that is this difficult to open. Maybe they could have put directions on the package on how to open the package. This is AWFUL! Packaging alert! I used normal expected attempts to open ... December 19, 2016 Packaging alert!I used normal expected attempts to open the 1/16" hard plastic case. Eventually had to carefully use a sharp-pointed carpet knife to separate the top and bottom of the case, cutting around all four sides to get it open. Sliced open two tubes of glue in the process and had to discard them.Even so, the price and convenience of the 12-Pack is worth the hassle provided one has free shipping with Amazon Prime. Super glue itself works well but some of my bottles have leaks and the caps won't stay on. December 10, 2016 My particular package has a few bottles that are leaking and for some reason the caps don't want to stay on once I open a bottle. Otherwise the super glue works well. Package is indeed hard to open as other reviews have said but not impossible. It's not easy to control November 2, 2016 This stuff is a mess. Once you open a bottle, it is everywhere - all over the bottle, your hands, the table, and whatever you were trying to glue. It's not easy to control. The only plus is that the glue does work and sticks things together as it should. Unfortunately you then have to unstick your fingers from each other, your hand from the table, and the table from whatever you were gluing. Good product but poor packaging October 29, 2015 If there were an award for the worst product packaging, this package would win it hands-down. There is no obvious way to open it upon close inspection. No hint from the product labels. After pulling it from different angles and pressing it on different parts to no avail, I finally brought out my metal sheaves and wire cutters and cracked the plastic box open. Only then did I realize how it is supposed to be open. The plastic box can be popped open into two halves. But you can't see the junction of those two halves because it is hidden by the labels on the front and the back of the box. You need to cut the labels in half precisely along the junction (with a box cutter or razor blade) or peel them off (a messy task) before you can pop the box open.Hope this reviews saves you some time and headache. | 0% not for me , messy February 28, 2016 as described, the item shipped to me and arrived within two days. , it came boxed and packaged securely. I had no problem with this item and am happy with my purchase. unlike other reviewers i found it hard to get the glue out without it squirting everywhereI bought this item myself and received no compensation for my review. | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet | 0% There are no reviews yet |
One Star Reviews: | 8% Extremely runny, takes forever to set, and ultimately doesn't work as well as 3M Super Glue Gel. July 11, 2017 Terrible version of "Super Glue". Extremely runny, takes forever to set (many, many minutes, even a half hour), and ultimately doesn't work! I'm going back to 3M Super Glue Gel, which works great, doesn't run, and sets in seconds. Saying "Original" in the name doesn't make it the best. Shame on Amazon and the distributor. February 21, 2017 Beware wrestling with this container. Any suggestion of using a cutting tool around this product is irresponsible. The outside of my container was sealed. It took tools and time to rip the package apart. Any product sold that requires internet video instructions for OPENING THE PACKAGE shouldn't be purchased. I needed the glue, not the half-hour of torment figuring out ways to open the defectively designed package. the tube opens easily but BEWARE( January 14, 2017 BEWARE! First of all, the package it comes in is close to impenetrable. It is worth your life to get it open. Once a tube has been extracted from the plastic hell of a prison, the tube opens easily but BEWARE(!) the glue is like water and it immediately runs all over. No matter how many precautions I took, it got on my hands. I tried nail polish remover. That took away the stickiness but not the glue residue. If there is a remedy on the tube, the print is TOO SMALL to read! I used one of those callus remover tools you use on your feet and that got off the roughness of the residue but it doesn't really remove the glue. To add insult to injury, it didn't glue together the pieces I needed to be glued! I am throwing it all away. It was a nightmare. Does NOT dry in 15 seconds. January 13, 2017 Severely dissapointed in this glue. Instructions say to hold material together for 15 seconds, yet everytime I spend several minutes holding my material together only to find out the glue hasn't dried and nothing sticks together. This occurs everytime I use the glue no matter what surface or material I am glueing. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something but this is incredibly frustrating and is a deal breaker for me. Horrible packaging, never had this experience before November 20, 2016 Clear package (holding glue) is absolutely impossible to open. We finally resorted to scissors, it punctured one of the glue and now the whole lot is ruined. Horrible packaging, never had this experience before. I had a terrible time opening the package October 29, 2016 I had a terrible time opening the package. So much so, that I pierced one of the glue tubes, it got all over my hands, and ruined the boxcutter. I decided I'd had enough and threw the whole thing out. Very disappointing. If they are going to make the packaging this difficult to open, surely they can provide some instructions. | 6% Glue doesn't dry January 16, 2017 Six hours later and the glue is still as wet as when I put it on. It only seems to dry if the glue is completely exposed to air. If you try to glue two items together, the glue never sets. Stay away March 18, 2016 Awful stuff. 2/3 of each bottle was filled with air. Wouldn't stop coming out at times. Very disappointed. You might as well buy Air. February 10, 2016 Ever wonder why it's so cheap compared to your local dollar stores? it's because literally 3/4th of each of these tiny packets is air. You'll probably get a good 2 squeezes on each one. Now, lets compare it to the normal dollar store 2 for $1, it's much much fatter and with lesser air.Very very very disappointed in these. I'll stick to my dollar store glue since they hold way way more. Can't get the package open September 23, 2015 I still have not figured out any way to open the package that would not damage the glue bottles inside. So really have no idea how I like the glue.
