Great product

Drive Medical Winnie Lite Supreme Aluminum Three Wheel Rollator, Tan PlaidI bought this for my pops, he is 88 years old, and my brother takes him out and he is partially blind, so they Uber ride to places, and he told me the regular walker with the seat was to bulky, so he uses a cane when out. Then he told me he notice pops not walking as much and he seem too weak or got tired too fast. Then I remember this online before when I bought the other. Well they took it for a spend and my pops loves it, easy to put in a car truck and my brother says he is walking more without his assistance. In fact my stubborn pops told him, I do not need you to come to the restroom with me I can handle it. (But my brother did to make sure he does not fall), My dad later that day calls me and says, its works, and I walk so much today, his joyful voice is all I needed to hear. This is great for those stubborn folks that refuse for now to be in a wheel chair and still want to walk and feel secured in steadiness.

Good control. Nice size bag.
Pretty little walker

I get compliments on my "Three Wheeler" wherever I take it. Compact and easy to place in my car.
Its a Godsend!
October 5, 2015
I was in a horrible accident a few years ago. I have muscle and nerve damage that most likely I will have the rest of my life.I can walk short distance without help, but need something when I am waling for long distance such as the mall, festivals, etc. Bought a cane which really does not help.I am only 63 so I did not want to get a metal walker with the tennis balls on. I saw a young lady at Woodfield mall with this and asked where she got it. She told me, Amazon and what its called. I thought it looked so cool and not a seniors walker. My family bought it for me and this is the best. I love it. I don't feel disable and I can even exercise around the neighborhood. very easy to fold and put into the car. People come up to me all the time and ask "were did you get that", I tell them the name and say "Amazon". :-)
Easy to maneuver
April 3, 2014
This is a really nice walker, well made, and supportive. It is easy to maneuver through tight doorways and spaces around the house. So many walkers are so big, you have to rearrange furniture, but this one turns and glides easily. The bag is a nice addition. Good for magazines, ipad, books, glasses, etc. Wish the top was stiff, like a tray, so I could put drinks on it. I especially like the handles on this walker. There is a contoured space on top just right for resting your thumbs, and it makes using the brakes very comfortable. It folds together easily, and yet when unfolded it is strong and solid. Easy to put in the car, fits behind the front seat with no trouble. I would recommend this walker.
Superior Quality!
May 27, 2010
I've used a 4-wheel rollator for two years with great success, but it's heavy, and with my particular problems, quite difficult for me to lift into and out of the car. My hope was to find an additional one that not only could stay in the car, but that was lightweight enough to easily lift in or out as needed. This rollator is absolutely solid and high quality, and at about 9 pounds, exactly what I needed for my purpose. It is extremely maneuverable, and the large wheels allow it to roll easily over most normal obstacles such as thresholds and rough parking lots. It "parks" more compactly in offices and restaurants, another benefit over the 4-wheel version. I leave it in the car, using it only when I go somewhere that requires my getting out of the car, while continuing to use the heavier one around the house. Not having the struggle of lifting the big one into and out of the car has given me more freedom to go!It arrived almost completely assembled, requiring only that the handlebars be inserted at the proper height, easily accomplished with the large knurled adjusting knobs.PLEASE NOTE! People considering this device should be aware that it does not supply the sideways stability of a 4-wheel rollator. For someone who needs total support for balance in walking, it may not be quite safe enough, because when more pressure is put on one handle than the other, it has a tendency to tilt to that side. This is not a fault of this particular device, whose back wheels are spaced wider than my 4-wheel type, but an inherent drawback present in all rollators with only 3 wheels. If the back wheels were far enough apart to prevent tilting, it would be difficult or impossible to negotiate doorways and other restricted places.I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone who needs just partial help in walking or balance, or one who is constantly aware of how it's being used. Otherwise, the 4-wheel is much safer.

The Cadillac of Walkers
April 5, 2017
My wife needed a hip replacement, we got this walker for her to keep walking up to the time of surgery. Upon receiving the package, it took a couple minutes to attach the handles and cross bar (no tools needed)

As a walker, it worked very well, she had no problem using it when walking. Travelling around the neighborhood on streets, sidewalks, or in large stores, she got around great. She is 5'3", the seat might be a tiny bit high for her as her feet aren't quite flat when sitting, but close enough. The seat worked great when she needed to sit for a bit to rest. Having storage under the seat is great for her purse and a water bottle. Every time we went to a health professional, they would always say this walker was the 'Cadillac' of walkers.

It easily folded up, for storage in the back of our Jeep, light and easy to move about. Now that her surgery has been done for a week, we hope to progress from the 'inside the house' non-wheeled walker to this 'outdoor' one again, very soon.
Great for your loved ones!
July 19, 2016
This has helped our elderly family member get out and about better. When he is tired, he just stops, locks, and sits. Not to mention the very handy little seat has a little area for his glasses, and magazines in it. The only issue we have had is that when he sits, he places his forearms on the handles. It has a screw/bump sticking up which irritates him. We are working on making a padding for it, with some velcro. Still, it has been a blessing to help keep our loved one mobile, and he hasn't had a fall since getting it.
Great walker for the price, great fit for my mom. If you have questions please read my review they will answer most of them.

I’ve read some bad reviews on this and some great reviews. The Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker Fold Up and Removable Back Support, Padded Seat, 7.5" Wheels, byDrive Medical, Red will be honestly reviewed.

First off, I am a nurse with over a quarter of a century experience. I know good walkers and I have seen some bad walkers.

We have to first see who this walker is for. It is for my mom who weighs 111 pounds and is a small woman. This walker fits her to a glove, she is only 5 foot 4. Some people said they were 5 foot 2 and their feet dangled. If that is the case, they have some really short legs. My mom’s feet do not dangle but comfortable touch the ground.

Some said they had a hard time putting it together. I had to install the handles with big, I guess I can call them plastic handled wing nuts. Not a problem, took me 2 minutes.

Some said it was flimsy. Well how big was the person using it. I would not recommend this for anyone over about 160 pounds. The seat alone would not fit well with them. It is aluminum and for a reason, to be light enough to put in the car. It doesn’t weight 5 pounds like some have said though, it weighs more like 15 but you are not going to get a lighter walker unless you get one without a seat.

This product has been more than adequate for my mom. Now for me I would need three put together to hold me. I am not stupid though. I buy products that fit the person, I don’t try to save money and buy something that just isn’t the right size for the job.

If you buy it you will be happy if you are the right size for it.

Thank you
The NickSter
Very convenient.

I had a larger steel Rollator that would not fit in my SUV without removing the basket, folding it, and folding down half of the back seat.
So I purchased this smaller Aluminum one. It is much lighter and it fits in the cargo compartment of my SUV without even folding it.
Sturdy and Lightweight
September 20, 2010
I needed a rollator that was light weight enough for me to put in my vehicle myself to be more independent. This Drive model is awesome. It has a nice seat for when I get too tired or when I get in a line for anything. I've found the seat also allows me to go to a buffet restaurant since I can put my plate on the seat and go through the line and get my food to my table myself. Any product that makes us disabled folks more independent is awesome. I selected this one due to the Seller's price, weight, free shipping, and the larger size of the wheels. It goes on grass or gravel better than any other walker/rollator I've used.

Good Except For Parking Brake
July 20, 2017
My husband is getting good use out of it. It's light weight & easy to maneuver. However, the parking brake on the right handle worked at first but can not be engaged at all now (it will not push down & lock). But the brakes do work OK.
Just what I wanted.

An excellent product and one which I use often. The only "problem" is that, when I go quickly, it gets a little "tippy" so be sure to pay attention.

great for my wife to move about our smaller home. but, the screws are exposed, and i worry about her cutting an ankle or catching something on it.
98 per cent perfect
November 4, 2016
Very happy to have my new Winnie Lite walker. Been using an old one previously owned by my Mom. The delivery got a little delayed but thatwas in part due to a hurricane in some areas during transit. The walker was easy to assemble. One of the brakes and handle bars is notexactly straight but it does not affect the steering of the vehicle. It just sticks out farther on the left side than on the right. I tried looseningand tightening the screws and when they are loose, the handlebar hangs straight. When you tighten it up to make it secure -- it goescrooked again. All in all I am happy with my purchase and the delivery. It was my first time with Amazon.
Great price - arrival date as promised
January 24, 2016
More difficult to insert the handles than it should have been -- no instructions at all included and maybe most people can figure it out -- but one lousy sheet of paper sure would have helped me! Color is really a more retro yellow, not tan. The bars are slightly, slightly, off and makes the handle bars a little off center. This is just for secondary use so not a major concern but if this is your only one I would want to make sure the bars are exactly even. Great price - arrival date as promised.
Great smaller rollater
March 18, 2013
This is a great smaller-sized, light weight rollater for using in confined spaces, perhaps for travel. Very simple "assembly" as the only parts that needed to be put on were the two handles and then adjusted to the right height for the user. Two drawbacks: 1. Because it is a 3-wheeled rollator, it is a little tipsy back toward the user, i.e. do not stand and lean on the handles. It is made for walking and stablity while walking. 2. The "nut" really a large plastic knob that screws on to the bolt that goes through the hole to keep the handles in place does not screw all the way tight. It's screwed in as far as the bolt is threaded but the plastic knob still turns. It makes you think the thing is loose but I don't think it is.

Great price and great quality!
April 14, 2017
Super quick delivery! Great light weight - easy to pick up! Quick set up - just click back bar in place and screw the handle adjuster knobs in place and adjust to correct height and you're good to go! One downside for me is that I am only 5'2" and when I sit on it my feet don't reach the ground so that's why I gave it only 4 stars but otherwise it's fabulours!
Relieved for mom's independence again.
July 8, 2016
My 83 year old mother loves it, Mind you she has been fighting me for the last year that she didn't need a walker, she isn't THAT bad off, her cane was fine etc etc. However, one day when we went out, she literally got stuck walking from point A to point B not a bench or a chair in sight for her to take a break, I could see the anxiety on her face and she was really frustrated. Her solution was just to stop going anywhere where shopping carts were not available... So without her consent I ordered her this walker, had my boys put it together and and present it to her. She commented on how nice it was, then she gave it a spin to the mailbox. She came back and was extremely happy, She said she felt safe and stable, The seat is perfect, High enough where she doesn't need to bend her knees too much,as this is another issue, Always looking for higher sturdy chairs with arms.. UGH,. Tall order when out in public. I only gave it 4 stars because we haven't taken it in and out the car yet, I want to see if she can handle this herself in that respect. For now she just parked it in the garage.
I would not be able to get it in or out of my car easily using one hand to lift and the other to ...
May 23, 2016
I am 51 and needed this to combat balance and fatigue issues related to a chronic condition. While I can lift the walker, I would not be able to get it in or out of my car easily using one hand to lift and the other to balance. So, my review is for indoor use only. The rollator rolls easily, and the brake handles engage and disengage without much effort. I do think the brakes need adjusting, but I have not tackled that yet. It's good for carrying things from one end of the house to the other. The seat is comfortable enough for short rests, but I would not want to park my butt there all day. I am 5'6"and would probably find the seat too high if I were shorter. I still have to get used to using the brakes. Rolls with more control on carpet than on tile.
It seems very well-constructed and is easy to push
May 16, 2016
If I were rating the quality, appearance and durability of the Rollator, I would have given it five stars! It seems very well-constructed and is easy to push. But it is too big for me. It is also heavier than expected and difficult for me to lift into my car. It doesn't fold easily - the seat top flops open and the wheels splay out, making loading even more difficult. It is also too high off the ground for me. My feet don't touch the floor when I sit on the seat. If the unit were much narrower, closer to the ground and several pounds lighter, it would be perfect! I keep it in the back seat of my car because it's too big and unwieldy to fit into the trunk - and too big and wide to use in the house. As for being heavier than expected, I have a serious back problem that doesn't allow me to lift much, so I took careful note of your customer's reviews of the Rollator and, especially their answers to prospective buyer's question "How much does it weigh?" Their answers were wide-ranging, so I took a chance that the aluminum model would be manageable.
Maybe not for everybody, but I like it
June 25, 2014
For me, this is great! And not just for the steely cobalt blue color, either.

For one thing, the seat is the right height, not too low and not too high - for me. But I'm 5'7" and long in the leg. For someone shorter or differently proportioned, this might be too high. And I can't see any way to adjust the seat height. Handle height can be adjusted, but not the seat.

Which brings me to another problem: inadequate assembly instructions. Most of it is already assembled, but there are a few of the top things that have to be put together (no tools required). And yet photos identify only a few parts and show only one angle. So I had to redo several parts after I put them together. Trial and error is not the best way to assemble something that's going to support my weight. Instructions need to show all the parts and label them, and to show close ups of where things go.

Then there's the cryptic message in a sticker put on one side of the brake handle but not referred to in the instructions. I'm fairly adept at assembling things, but I couldn't figure this one out at all. But, um, this is the brakes. . . ? Could you be more precise with this?

But once I got it all together, then it's great. It rolls easily, brakes lock securely, wheels swivel effortlessly. Seat is comfy enough that I could easily use it for emergency seating when the whole family descends upon me at once. It's sturdy and feels as if it can handle bumps and such with aplomb.

It is a mite too heavy for me to insert it into the car effortlessly. I'm worn out by the time I get it in. But them I'm not especially strong (ummmm, that's probably an understatement).

The handles take a bit of getting used to, as the movement to slow the device is to pull up on the brake handles, whereas the movement to lock the brakes is to push down hard. Nonetheless, it's easy to tell when I have locked the brakes in order to sit down.

Overall, I'm glad I got it, and it does what it's supposed to. I do suggest, however, that they upgrade the instructions and photos.

Nice walker
January 9, 2017
Very nice 3 wheeled walker and really worked great for our needs. Fits in small areas and easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Perfect for those needing a smaller "rolling" walker. Product unfortunately came broken. Handle bar break could not be repaired and had to return item. Wish I could have re-purchased but item was not available at the time.
Help for the Elderly:
October 27, 2015
Good little sturdy walker for my 90 year old mother. But, The hand brakes are stiff and her strengthen is a problem for setting the park brake. This is worse than just using the brake. Very stiff and I repeatedly worked it to loosen it up.
I really wanted to give 5 stars but...
April 14, 2015
I would truly love this item if it weren't for the fact that the right handle jiggles...Not a huge issue but annoying enough...lol If not for the jiggling handle I'd had given it a full 5 stars...It was delivered quickly, easy to assemble and I love the plaid...lol
Good Design; Not So Good Fit and Finish
April 22, 2013
Nicely designed. Works well. Easy to get around and lug all your essentials. BUT ... One of the handlebars could not be snugged down tightly. The brakes did not hold, I assume because of cable problems. Granted, these are not major shortcomings but for $90 I expected better. (It cost me $30 to bring everything up to snuff.) AND . . . the "Owners' Manual" consisted of a paragraph or two in their promo flier. Absent the problems mentioned, I would have given it at least 4 stars.
No seat
April 9, 2013
Got this walker as as substitute to the Drive walker / wheelchair combo which I previous got for my mom. I did not have any problems assebling it as others say they did.My mom loves the combo walker / wheelchair as she can sit on it or we can easily wheel her around whenever we go out to places which requires a lot of walking. However the combo is heavy for my mom to lift on her own. Thus, i decided to get this three wheeled walker. It is very light and she is "test drove" it aroung my apt and was able to sneak around small corners. However, the first thing she asked me is she could sit on it. Unfortunately, I looked for a 3-wheel light walker with a seat and I cant find anything. Most walkers with seats are 4-wheeled and could be heavy to lift even for 2 steps, which is a task in itself for an 80+yr old. She thinks this is no different than her using a cane but of course this will give a little stability. So, not sure if she would be using this unless we prob go to places where they have a lot of seats for my mom when she gets tired of walking.

Light weight and easy to move over slight curbs
September 15, 2016
Roller works very well for mobility both inside & outside. Light weight and easy to move over slight curbs. Hard plastic seat feels firm & stable and is a good feature for resting or convenient pause. However, the fold up process is difficult if you want to put into the car by yourself. This is due to the plastic lid (seat) that covers the center storage under the seat. There is no way to secure in up position so it flops around as you try to maneuver roller into trunk. Needs some type of velcro strap to keep it in up position to aid in this fold up. After several attempts my brother in law was able to check me up with his own system but still a slight struggle. Since this device is design to help seniors be more independent, manufacturer needs to re-design this lid.
Measure the seat height that you need. Great walker otherwise. Sent it back for refund, now minus shipping cost of $24.
March 22, 2016
I am giving this walker a 3 star only because I am returning it for a non-complaint reason. It simply was TOO big, too high and my legs were dangling 3-4" off of the ground. I am 5'5" and always thought myself medium heighth, but others always thought I was on the taller side. I did not measure the seat height on my old walker. I assumed it would be similiar. It is NOT. Be sure to measure the seat height that you need to be comfortable. I would've had to sit towards the edge or if I leaned back it would hurt the back of my thighs. This walker is sturdy. There is no way to adjust the heighth. I think it is a quality walker for the dollar amount. We did not assemble it. Basically it came out of the box, set it up by spreading it apart and I sat on the seat since it just looked high. That was all we did, and just put it back in the box. Be sure and measure is all I can say.
Caster wheel fell off and wife fell to ground

Ok for some, but not for someone with low hand strength
November 15, 2014
Bought this for a geriatric relative with both balance and strength issues. This is the fourth walker this relative has had - the last one was from Drive too.

Good
1. Assembly was easy.
2. The height could easily be adjusted to be the same as the last walker.
3. The seat was no less uncomfortable than the old one - e.g. ok for short periods of sitting, like in a line at a movie.

Bad (and the reason for 3 stars)
1. The brake locks require too much physical strength for my geriatric relative, who has had no trouble with the last three walkers.
2. When locked the wheels easily slide on the industrial short-loop carpet in the facility. Getting up and down resulted in the walker sliding, which would likely have led to a fall.

We're returning it. I'll try a different manufacturer.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
December 28, 2016
HANDLE IS SO TIGHT CANNOT ENGAGE BRAKE ON ONE SIDE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
Fine, but elusive.

Nice and light and handy BUT the lack of locking brakes is a serious minus whenever you want to "park" it for a moment on any slightest slope.
I'm disappointed with this purchase
July 30, 2016
The hand brakes get stuck frequently......I'm disappointed with this purchase. Will try it for another week, if it continues to get stuck, I'll return Drive Medical Winnie Lite Supreme Alum. for a refund.
Wouldn't be my first choice if i had it to do over...
September 24, 2014
It is small - i'll give it that. It is not balanced well - If you put too much weight on the handles, it will very easily tip backwards. I wanted something small to use for travel ( i use a larger 4 wheel Rollator with a seat in my home). Also, i'm accustomed to setting things on the seat of my larger walker and 'toting' things around. There is not a flat surface to set anything on this walker. It's a walker, it serves it's purpose, but in retrospect, i wish i had selected something different.
I got this for my Dad, but it is not safe for him to use.
May 10, 2014
I suppose most people who need walkers don't have good balance, but this walker sort of requires it. The weight is mostly on the back end, so if you push down too hard, it raises the front wheels up VERY easily. In other words, if you lose your balance, you are going to hit face first unless you can brake hard as you fall. On any sort of footing beyond flat and smooth, this thing will not be reliable. The quality is great and it is very light, but it is not for anyone who has to lean on the walker to stay upright.
It is not as it was pictured in the catallgue
September 8, 2013
It is not at all stable. The way it is built the bar in the back for the two back wheels is very short so that the back wheels are placed almost directly under the handles. Any weight put on the handles causes it to tip backwards. I am very afraid of falling and this rollater is no protection whatsoever in keeping me from falling. I am fearful of using it anywhere except in my apartment. If I put several heavy things--books. etc.-in the bag it does make it slightly more stable, but it is not what I had hoped or expected.

I had to return mine. the seat was plenty wide enough but the handels had large rubber grips that turned inward into and made it hard to get up. Weak Welding
August 1, 2016
This is the second one I've had and the weld keeps breaking on the rear leg. I only weigh 225. There should be another brace across the lower portion of the rear legs.
Buyer Beware
May 31, 2016
Wow, stop, don't purchase until you read this. This product is all the other positive reviewers claim...with just one big problem. If you sit in the seat with your back against the backrest, you will need to be at least 6 feet tall to have your heals touch the ground. A typical chair seat is 16" to 19" high. The seat on this Drive walker is an unadjustable 23" tall. Our 5'4" mother's feet dangled 5 inches off the ground with her back against the backrest in this chair. I am 6' and my heals barely touched the ground.
Poor Machining
March 8, 2016
This is our second Rollator by Drive. It's not as good as our first one. It was missing a decorative wheel cap (that the company replaced), but also had a poorly machined handle knob that wouldn't tighten. We found an old knob in a used wheelchair shop, but it looks tacky. At least we didn't have to wait again. Rated: Poor.

A terrible design with the wrong center of gravity
August 24, 2012
This drive medical winnie lite, it can be lite yes, but regarding mobility when a person is pushing it, the gravity center of the equipment is not correct and if use by en elderly person, chances are that the person will fall down. Do not recomend this product as it's a bad design.I ended up returning the drive medical winnie lite and I was told by the supplier that I will have to pay the shipment back, that they will deduct the shipment in and will charge me a 20% stocking fee. So apart from being a terrible product, I'm not sure if I will get my full refund back.Amazon has been known for paying the shipment back when products are returned and no questions asked, but this supplier should be taken off Amazon advertising.
Something wrong with this unit
August 2, 2012
I've purchased a number of these units for elderly in my church, but the unit that I'm returning has something wrong with the frame. Note the picture of the Winnie light, with wheels slightly rear of the handles. The unit I received has the rear wheels slightly ahead of a vertical from the handles, so when one pushes downward it flips and does not provide support or stability. I must have received a bad unit, as all others have worked fine and are great for mobility. I do plan to order another unit as soon as this one is returned.

I have ordered two different type Drive walkers from Amazon and both have been defective. The first one had a problem with the seat. This one has a brake that won't lock. The first thing to go wrong was that the brakes had to be adjusted. That was easy and did not require tools. Update 6/10/16: A weld broke just below the seat. Although the construction looked good the pipes were very thin. I didn't abuse this one as I had hoped to have it awhile. Looked good. Falling apart. Happy 4th! The back leg just broke and left me on the ground.

I want to love this, but it is missing the pins that hold the handlebars in place. I had hoped for increased mobility.
