Great boots
January 7, 2017
Bought a half size smaller, still was a little large but perfect when adding $10 Dr. Scholls comfort inlays.
I loved these boots

I loved these boots. I ordered a size less which the prompt said. They fit just great. Just add in some gel insole and good to go.

Great Buy! 5 stars
September 18, 2017
A month in with this boot and so far a great buy! 10 hour days 5 days a week and on my feet the whole time. Comfortable boots!! The only negative about this boot is they cut the back of both my heals when I wore them once with no-show socks. I would suggest always wearing them with ankle socks or longer. My official review of this boot: "A light weight boot that's comfortable and well made, but always wear with ankle socks or longer".
Great all around boot
August 6, 2017
This is my second pair I've owned and they're my favorite boot by far. I have the sage green c4's that have been through selection and multiple rucks with me. I've never had blisters or hotspots once from these. I would say the only downside to these are the break in period kind of sucks for about the first week from the lace eyelets pressing against the tongue of the boot. Other than that they're still 5 star worthy in my opinion.

After reading many reviews I was a little worried on the comfort and quality of these boots. Opening the box I immediately liked the look of the boot. They are so light weight and the fit was like a glove. They feel like a pair of tennis shoes. The tread in the pictures to me appeared flat, and as though there was not a lot of traction to be offered. However when you see them in person they have quite a bit more tread than pictured and I would not be afraid to hike in these. So if you're like me and wondering or worrying about whether or not this would be a good hiking boot, all I can say is don't stress. They are better than I expected.

I ordered these boots for my teenage son. They arrived on a Saturday and my son raved about them ALL weekend long. So many times. He said they're very comfortable. Especially considering they haven't even been broken in yet. They are a nice quality boot. I don't have much experience ordering shoes online. I was a little nervous that the fit would be off or the boots would be cheaply made since the price wasn't too high. I was extremely happy with the boots when they arrived. I have a feeling these boots will last him for quite a while.
Glad I did
March 26, 2016
Before ordering these I read all the reviews and comments. I noticed that a large percentage of the comments was about size, so I ordered a half size larger. Glad I did. I usually wear 12 wide, I got the 12.5 wide. They are a good fit, but there is no room left for any insole if ever needed. I looked high and low on the comments for the weight and all I could ever find is "Light weight". So I weighed them about, 17 oz each...so yes, that is very light weight for a high top boot. They are really comfortable, after about 2 - 3 days break-in. Most of that break-in was for me...I have always worn lower top boots, hikers, ect. All in all a very well made, light boot for around $40 less than the Nike equivalent.

Recommendation depends on expected use. As a veteran the boots were a lot more comfortable (out of the box) than the standard issues as I remember them being - however I would NOT recommend them for service use outside of garrison. I do not believe they would hold up very long under rigorous field use. That being said, they'd be more than sufficient for garrison or civilian use. Two notable flaws: 1) high pressure point over small toe, seems to be diminishing with casual wear break-in. 2) out of the box the outer sole was already peeling off the boot - remedied with a large dap of super glue has held up so far. Because of my foot there wasn't much space with the thick cushioned insole included with the boot, but replacing the insole with a Dr Scholl's Extra Comfort (gel with an orange spine) gave my foot more room and a moderate improvement in overall comfort of the boot.

Nice boots. Very comfortable. I didn't pay attention to the reviews but they were true. If you are a 9 like me. You may order an 8 1/2. Overall very good product. Not meant for rain though.

Truly lightweight and supportive
July 15, 2017
I like these boots a lot, only 4 stars because I have only had them a month and don't know how they wear. That being said, I have been using them pretty hard and so far so good. Most important points (to me anyway) 1. They truly are lightweight 2. They offer good foot support 3. They are breathable, my feet have been staying cool even with cheap cotton socks in hot weather 4. I purchased mine at a great priceI live in CT and had blown out the last pair of worn out sneakers I was using for yard work including push mowing and digging. I was tired of my sneakers filling up with dirt by the end of the day but did not want to tromp around all day in the heavy leather and rubber work boots I own. Long story short, these have been a dream and I purchased another pair for my son.Downside - they are lace up so if you are like me and don't like to track mud in the house get your act together before lacing up. You are not going to want to be pulling these off and on every 15 min. Another interesting point - laces seem to stay tied without a double knot. I have other boots and running shoes that come undone with double knots. I bought the tan because that was on sale and for me these are strictly work boots not for socializing.
not bad
May 9, 2017
On my second pair in about 3 years, these boots are wonderful. They are lightweight, comfortable, and breath. Would not recommend for winter climates, as they have no insulation and barley any traction on ice/snow. They're cheap compared to most boots, but I've never had quality control issues.
After that they are extremely light and comfortable.
April 2, 2017
There is a weird stitching where the tongue meets the front of the boot. It dug into my feet at first. I was going to return them but I needed them to go to annual training. When I put them on in the morning the stitching digs into the top of my foot but after about 30 minutes I don't notice it. After that they are extremely light and comfortable.
Not a bad boot, for me.
March 27, 2017
I need strong, comfortable boots with a ton of ankle support as I have some issues in my ankles and I wasn't willing to pay $2100 for "medically correct" boots made by the ONE bootmaker in the US (what a scam). I decided to try these out and they do the job pretty well. The one partially amputated foot wen right in and the ankle support is amazing, but it was a little tight on the normal foot and took some getting in around the ankle area.. it was a bit tight. Will get an 11.5 next time! Other than that.. not too heavy, protects my feet (I'm diabetic and have to be careful) and for basic light/medium walking, it's more confortable than my old sneakers (heh). We'll see how they last over the next few months.
Order half a size up!
March 4, 2017
So, I do love the look of this boot. I wear it with my AF ABUs. I should've gotten half a size up though. They are a perfect fit which doesn't leave too much wiggle room. Well, I think my right foot might be a teeny bit bigger than my left because it fits a but tighter. It's been less than a week of wear and there has been some "breaking in". As I expected. But that's normal. Aside from that, I don't regret my purchase. I do recommend going half a size up.
Almost perfect...
September 16, 2013
After several praising reviews from others I thought i'd try the Rocky's C4t boot. Its light weight and rugged sole are great at keeping your feet comfortable while trooping along. However the boot failed on one aspect. The bridge of the boot (where the bottom lace is) is sewn firmly which makes for an unstrecthing constraint on your foot. After long wear times, your foot will be uncomfortable. I dont know if everyone experiences this, some guys have told me that i should have gotten it in a wider width. But i dont know the answer.Otherwise the boot is great...

Comes a whole number bigger in size
May 19, 2016
I was a little disappointed about the boot sizes. Seems to come a whole number bigger in size. I'm a 9.5 and it was way too big. I returned the 9.5 and requested a 9. And I was still too big. I gave them away to my cousin.

My son loves these boots for his yard work but after 5 months the rubber sole has fallen away from the bottom of the boot.
Five star to three rating because of poor insert.
January 30, 2017
Quality of the boot construction is really good, not as wide in the mid-foot as I would expect (or need) based on a 2E width, however, I may have unique feet. Length is fine with the expected extra bit of room for foot spread. The problem for me is the insert; too thick, pushes my feet up making the boot feel tight through the mid-foot and causing (from 3 hrs wearing) flair up of heel pain I haven't hade for months. Really to bad too, I'll see what can be done with a after market insert.

Comfortable office boots
January 17, 2016
These boots fit true ti size and are comfortable and light right out of the box. If you want to wear them in the office, they'll work just fine. They provide good ankle support. However the flat, traction-less soles on this boot are slippery. On a 5 mile walk in the snow and ice today, going up and down hills and rough terrain, I was slipping and sliding while my wife in her hiking boots did much better. My all terrain running shoes are better traction wise but provide less ankle support.
... reviews about these boots but my feet just didn't like them and I had to return them
September 2, 2015
Others have posted their reviews about these boots but my feet just didn't like them and I had to return them. I get some nasty pinching above the back part of my heel, right on the Achilles. It makes me wonder if the manufacturer even tries on their boots. Maybe it's just my feet, but I just couldn't get them to work. I do, however, have the S2V models of the Rocky's. They have lasted over 3 years so the company may have just made this boot a bit differently.Just my opinion, but hopefully this will help someone out! :)
During that time I have been very happy with there fit
July 13, 2015
Over the past several years I have purchased a few different types of Rocky's. During that time I have been very happy with there fit, quality, durability and comfort. Before I purchased these boots I did a fair amount of research and finally decided to go for it. I had read several reviews and now that I have the boots, one review comes back to haunt me. I found, as the reviewer stated, that the seem that joins the tongue to the boot is large and cuts into the top of my foot, just above the knuckles of my toes. This is extremely uncomfortable. I am hoping that, with time this will stop, but I doubt it. The boots are light weight and comfortable, for the most part, but this issue is a problem for me. I won't stop buying Rocky's but am very surprised at this defect. I definitely wouldn't want to be training in these for any length of time.

Get what you pay for.

I advise against this boot.1. Sizing led to confusion.2. Wrinkles when tied.3. Weak sole-shoe bond (ripped off upon removal).4. Hella wide, my own fam called me Bigfoot everytime I wore them. Lol.5. Platform is somehow... cheap feeling.--Pro--Okay for hiking if you have good foot coordination.
Very light duty shoe.
October 17, 2016
Had to adjust my review over time. Initially I like these ok, but I found them a little uncomfortable and this was helped tremendously by using insoles. It's stated they were too big so I did order accordingly.I wore them almost daily for 2 months at work and in the yard, etc. I do not suggest this. More of a shoe for looks than anything else.As I was tugging them off one evening I separated the sole from the body of the shoe.I know they're inexpensive, but I expected a bit more life than that.
Not built for work.

Fell apart in a matter of months.
Tread comes off--would be good boot otherwise.
June 23, 2017
Size 13 worked for my size 12.5 Wide foot. Boot made snappy noise for first couple miles of wear. After wearing boot for 15 miles, inside tread on right boot came off, just like other customers have said and photographed. I was very disappointed because I have worn Rocky's for several years as a leather boot while working in law enforcement and wanted to try their combat boot. Once the boots were worn in, they were actually comfortable while wearing a boot sock and liner. Your heel will get rubbed raw with only one sock, but that is expected with a hiking/combat boot. I am returning my boots for a refund--boots should not fall apart after a few miles.
Cheap Material
May 18, 2017
This is not a military grade desert boot. It feels like a pair of 8" Crocs. I'll keep them, to wear with jeans or do yard work, but not what I was hoping for. They'll probably disintegrate after 100 uses.
When is a Rocky not a Rocky? When it is a light weight!
November 7, 2015
Everything below the ankle fit well and was indeed comfortable once I removed the inner sole and replaced it with my orthotics. The disappointing part was the extremely light weight leather or maybe simulated leather compromising the stress points of the boot. Further, the area above the ankle made a crinkling noise with every step I took - actually sounded like plastic! Also the top of the boot was very uncomfortable when I blouse my fatigue legs and tied the strings at the boot top airborne style. While I like the very light weight of the boot, I can't imagine any company commander permitting this boot to be used in military training nor for combat operations. This is my fourth or fifth pair of "Rockies" and all of them were top notch and superior in every way. Sadly, this pair does not match the previous offerings.
A little small and bad design
April 6, 2015
All of my other boots are 10's. Needed to return these size 10's and go with 10-1/2. They just missed but they are super light weight and will work well when the correct size comes in.New boots came in and they fit. But, there is a flap of fabric at the base of the tongue, on the inside that is about a 1/4" and the entire width of the tongue. When you slide your foot in, it flips over and is horrible! I can't believe that this would even pass as a design of any shoe let alone a tactical boot. I had to go out and buy a snipping tool to cut it off of both boots.I would have returned them AGAIN but I need them now.
Not Overly Impressses
September 30, 2014
When I saw this boot online I was very optimistic of them. I ordered one pair and decided that they were pretty cool until I put them on when I learned that they were too small. I wear an 8.5, in all of my other boots and shoes. So I returned them for 9s but they too were too small, and after walking around in them for about a day and a half, I decided that not only were they just too small, but kind of dorky looking since the heel is huge compared to everything else. Also the material surrounding and above the ankles was very thin uncomfortable. Be warned. I personally would go with the Danner boots of the similar light weight style, which are more expensive but probably better worth the money.

Fit great but deployed and 2 months of patrol the boots started falling apart from the bottom sole. Pretty sad that they couldnt handle the terrain and heat plus the patrols.
Horrible Fit!
May 10, 2016
These boots are made for people with very thick feet. I've worn Nike SFBs and Oakley boots for years, and the fit is completely normal. If your feet aren't super thick, you're not going to be able to wear these boots, even with an insert.
DON'T BUY THESE HORRIBLE BOOTS!
May 9, 2016
Worst boots I've ever purchased, Rocky should be ashamed to sell this garbage. The canvas on the sides crackles and crunches so loudly it sounds like you're walking on bubble wrap. I don't want to hear about a "break in period" I've been in the tactical arena a long time and this is just embarrassing. Aside from that, within 3 weeks the bottoms of the boots came completely unglued and individual little rubber pieces fell off. I have had to glue these humpty dumpty boots back together more times than I can count. Another member of my team bought the same boots at the same time and no surprise, his boots fell apart too. I guess that's what I get for thinking I could go budget on some training boots. Got me this time, won't happen again.
Soles Distintegrated After One Week! Unbelievable!!!!
September 23, 2015
They fell apart in one week! I'm confident I would be hard-pressed to find a worse pair of boots anywhere in the world. They truly are worthless if you're buying them to use as a field boot. They are designed to be light-weight, so the soles look like foam rubber with stiff rubber pieces glued strategically on the bottom of the foam-rubber sole. Unfortunately, the few durable pieces of rubber sole material that are (slightly) glued to the bottom came off after just one week of wear. Totally unbelievable! I've purchased scores of boots over the years (literally). I've never seen anything like this. I will return these boots as completely unservicable. If I were you, instead of throwing your money away on these boots I'd look for something else. I'm just trying to save you time and money. I rarely, if ever, give reviews of products. However, in this case they were so bad that I felt compelled to save my fellow shoppers the aggravation and disappointment of purchasing a worthless pair of.....well, I don't know what to call them. They sure don't act like any pair of boots I've ever seen. Just don't buy them; you'll be glad you bought something else.
