60 Miles to Chicago on rooftop in valley, no problems!
July 28, 2017
Having installed one of these for a friend on his rental property, I knew that it was effective for receiving TV stations from a fair range. Yet, that house was on one of the highest points in Racine and was near the lakefront, pointing toward Milwaukee (30 miles from the transmitting towers).

However, this one went on my house, down in a valley, a few miles further off the lake. I was already receiving Milwaukee with my in-attic antenna, but had not picked up any of Chicago (60 miles away). I mounted this one on a 5' pole on top of my chimney facing 170* south. I was shocked to see that I successfully picked up all stations (2, 5, 7, 9, 32, and all the minor ones as well) on my first channel sweep! I coupled it in with my other antenna, and with a few modifications got them working together to pick up both markets. We now have 78 channels and are EXTREMELY happy with the unit. I'm not using the rotor at all, rather relying on two antennas to get a better spread. I was also not aware that this came with a 50' coax cable, which was a nice perk to save some money. All in, with pole and standoffs to mount, I spent around $48 for this setup! Very Happy!
Great Antennae!!
February 20, 2017
I refuse to pay for cable TV, therefore I've been using rabbit ears for a long time. However the new condo I moved into has terrible reception, and I got most of my exercise by walking back and forth from my chair; to the TV to adjust the antennae. I noticed that my neighbor had an outdoor antennae indoors, so that's when I decided to go shopping for one.

Not only does this antennae get great reception, it has a remote control to adjust it with. So now I don't have to get up to adjust my reception anymore. It doesn't come with a stand; so I built one out of PVC. Keep in mind; mines inside, so it doesn't need a lot of support like on your roof.

Best antennae I've ever owned!!
Better than a flat hd antenna
December 12, 2016
Great crystal clear reception on two 4K tvs. I installed this in my apartment. I had a flat hd amplified antenna and I didn't get good reception on all my over the air channels.
WORKS GREAT!!! EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!
December 9, 2016
Works great! I had an indoor antenna after recently cutting the cord from Dish. I was able to pull about 16 channels. That was all that was listed on all of the antenna maps online. But I knew there were more in the area that weren't listed. I connected this antenna and there they were! Now I live in a rural area about 75 miles away but they came in clear! I mounted it on old Dish Network mount using a piece of 3/4" EMT conduit about 12" long sitting inside the post mount. I used existing RG-6 coax that was left after I removed Dish. I was VERY skeptical about buying a $35 antenna so my expectations weren't all that high. Boy was I surprised. I even installed a splitter outside and used existing Dish cables that went to another TV and that too has all the channels. Using this plus DIRECTV NOW app. ALOT CHEAPER!!!!!
Cut the cord!
November 4, 2016
I'm cutting the cable cord. I have Netflix, and Playstation Vue but I don't get local channels so I wanted to get an antenna. I was told that I live in an area that would not get a signal and I was told wrong! I'm about an hour north of Jacksonville in S.E. Georgia (heavily wooded). Before even mounting it to the house I plugged it in and held it in my hand facing Jacksonville and got 25 channels. So instead of mounting it to the roof or something I just mounted it on a piece of PVC in the attic and ended up getting 30 channels! All I wanted were the local channels for News and Football but there's a bunch of extra ones. The picture quality is amazing too, better than what I got with cable! I Highly recommend.
Good antenna. Works great for me.
October 20, 2015
Works great. Boosted my OTA channels from 6 to 40+. I got this and 3, 10 foot top rails for chain link fence which put it 20' or so above the roof line.
The best thing is that I can now pick up several great channels plus REV'N, an all day car channel. (saves me from Dr. Phil)
The rotation works but the directional buttons are not always moving the unit in accordance with the control.
The only bad thing I see is that it works with only one TV at a time. If you try to split it, you get a yellow fault light. I used a switch and had to turn off/on the unit to re-link with the antenna. Not a big deal for me, I just went back to my older roof antenna.
It comes with 50' of coax so there is plenty for a pole mount.
One caution: be sure your OTA receiver is a good one. I have a Magnavox receiver that will not pick up the stations my flat screens built-in receiver will. IF you don't get a jump in channels, it might be the receiver. I am picking up stations nearly 100 miles away.

Great J pole, perfect diameter and solid
October 22, 2017
Great J pole. I used it to install a ham radio antenna by ataching it not to my roof but to my dish J pole so I could get a few more inches height. It feels very solid and it is powder coated.

Easy to mount but seems a little cheap and will be interested to see how it holds up to Michigan climate.
HDTV Antenna Mount - 20in
March 10, 2017

I ordered the Antennas Direct 20-Inch Antenna J-Mount to install a bird house my wife had purchased. I wanted it mounted on the shed. I also purchased the Birds choice Mounting Flange For 1" Pole to attach the bird house to the J-Mount. Both items worked perfectly. The bird house has been mounted for over two months now with no problem.

Solid J-Mount extender. Works well!
February 17, 2015
This mount is perfect for what I needed it for -- to mount the BoostWaves Antenna to the side of my roof. It is strong and can be easily manipulated into position and then tightened down. It is powder coated too so it will last forever without rusting.I needed more height than what this offered, so I went to my local hardware store and bought an 8-foot piece of 1" diameter PVC tube to use as an extender. Much cheaper than buying a metal extender here on Amazon and it will last just as long. I extended my antenna 6 more feet higher. I drilled holes into the top of the PVC tube and ran wire to all four corners of my roof to keep the pvc steady in the wind. No problem! Simply put the PVC into the top of this mount and bolt it in. Works like a charm and I definitely recommend this J-Mount. Just be careful it fits your antenna diameter. The maximum diameter to insert any pvc tube, extender tube or antenna tube into the top of this mount is 1 inch! Of course, you can buy a slightly smaller diameter, but DO NOT buy a larger diameter extender unless you have an adapter to scale it down to 1" or smaller.

Excellent Coaxial Cable for Cable TV Cord Cutting Outside Antenna
September 21, 2017
I recently ordered 1byown 85 miles digital amplified antenna and this product with a GE 23203 Cable Extension Adaptor were included on the page as also bought by customers. I ordered all three items and gave as a gift to an electronics engineer who loves tinkering with anything electronic. He was sure these items added could not be good, but upon checking, he was surprised and happy. They met his standards. He is also one very happy guy playing with his new antenna. He now has it getting 20 channels with most in HD, including FOX and Channel 10. He is still playing with it as I type. Excellent Coaxial Cable!
A good cable at a good price.
May 3, 2017
I used the Mediabridge coaxial cable with a antennae I bought for my rv that I used in the woods. The antennae was touted for a 150 mile range and I needed that for the fact that I was a good long ways from a city in the California foothills and I wanted clarity on the cable lines without interference. This cable did just that. With this cable and the antennae I chose I could pick up about 30 channels where before I could receive only 3 to 5.
Seems to be of very good quality
October 27, 2016
This cable appears to be very well made. It is rather stiff, but it will bend with a little help. The metal connectors look to be very sturdy. With items such as this, you can't really give an accurate assessment unless you have some testing equipment and/or you take the item apart to examine it. I don't plan on doing that. I'll just say that I do get a nice, strong signal with this cable. MediaBridge makes good stuff.
Excellent coax cable
May 23, 2016
This is a very good quality cable: rugged and well made. The plastic covers over the end of the connectors protect the center conductor during shipping and installation, especially when you have to feed it through tight spots. Also, the blue plastic sleeves around the nut of the F connector make it easier to tighten it.I purchased this cable to replace a shorter (25') RG-59 with higher losses, to be able to mount the antenna outside. The signal strength seemed better with this longer (50') RG-6.Given the quality and the price, I definitely recommend this product.Second purchase:I recently ordered a second cable to add another antenna to my cable-cut configuration. Mediabridge continues to be my coax cable of choice: solid and well made. The EZ grip connector caps make it much easier to attach, especially in tight places.
would definitely recommend
October 16, 2015
i bought this product with the idea in mind of moving my over-the-air tv antenna from my living room to an unfinished attic. my reception had been good almost all of the time with the antenna in the living room, but there were times when it was 'spotty' on certain channels. i am in a 1.5 story house with 2 very large cottonwood trees across the street from me (they are between me and 2 of the main signals i receive. i needed a high quality cable for this application, and this one really fits that category. i DID have to additionally purchase an adaptor to connect the 2 sections of coaxial cable (1 secton running off the antenna), but i picked it up for under $5, and that was a Monster brand gold-plated unit. the company who manufactures the antenna i have also offered an extension, but theirs was 25 ft. for $30. the MediaBridge unit was twice as long for half the price, and i believe the quality is even better. very happy with this purchase, and i highly recommend it.
This is good quality cable
July 13, 2014
This is good quality cable. The connectors are solidly attached at the ends. You should only use as much cable as you need, because added cable length attenuates the signal, but this is low loss cable and the difference between 25' of cable and 50' of cable probably won't be significant. For outside applications, protect all connections from water, as any water (even humidity) that can make it into the connection will cause corrosion, which is a major source of signal loss. I'd recommend wrapping the sticky rubbery silicone tape that sticks to itself over the connection, sliding heat shrink tubing over that and shrinking it to keep out water. When possible, install connections under eves where they are protected from rain, snow and ice.The blue molded plastic grips on the end connectors allow this cable to be installed by hand, which can be very handy when making blind connections on the back of the TV as it's hanging on a wall mount (detaching the lower portion of the TV from the wall mount and hinging it out from the top helps to make enough clearance), but there is a down side to the plastic connector grips. You'll need to drill a large 9/16" hole in the side of your house if you're running this cable outside to connect to an external antenna.I used this cable to connect a large roof mounted 3'X4' DB8e UHF antenna directly to our Samsung 32" LED TV without using an inline amplifier, and we're picking up strong signals from HDTV stations almost 90 miles away. We get 35 channels of over-the-air HDTV, with no cable bill.I ordered the TV, BluRay/DVD player, coax, antenna mount and antenna from Amazon and it all worked great together. Great price, great value, great convenience. I love shopping on Amazon and having the stuff I want in a couple of days, delivered directly to my door. I don't even watch TV. That's my wife. I do watch some Amazon Prime streaming video, though.

Possibly a way to receive local channels and television programming....
October 7, 2017
I have ordered and received 3 of these type antennas. Two of them worked with one working excellently. I am able to receive 24 channels where previously I only got 4 channels with the set-top antenna. I am not sure what is ailing one. The area that I am trying to receive channels is obscured by trees and some buildings are possibly in the way for a direct shot for what the internet says is the best case scenario for aiming and receiving channels. In each case I have these two antennas at 33ft (3 X 11ft fence top rail.) There are a few semi local stations that are coming in on both the Amplified HD Digital as well as the set top rabbit ears. I am triangulating between Wichita, Tulsa, and OK City by about 90 miles each. I just haven't gotten the proper aim or the antenna's amplifier gain is lower on this particular antenna. Even though the units are mostly housed in Plastic, it appears to be durable and sunlight (UVA) resistant gray Polyethylene or Propylene plastic. The accompanying cable provided with the unit is of a good grade. I bought these 3 units to "cut-the-cable" and monthly fees at all 3 of these homes. I am planning on installing the 3rd one at the problem location to prove whether it is just the available reception or a problem with the unit. All-in-all these items, if they all perform should give me sufficient television to "cut the cable". I bought 3 of these antennas, mast poles and guy wiring for 3 installations and have one unit that is working fantastically and I have not yet tried installing the 3rd purchased antenna so I know that 1 is working super, 1 is marginal, and 1, I haven't installed yet. I still think that there should be roughly 20 channels available in each of the 3 locations which will provide a viable economic alternative to the cable that I was buying for the 3 locations monthly. Each antenna, mast and guy wires averaged $100 total each 1 installation as the antenna, mast and cabling were about $33ea. in each case totaling $100. I am hopeful that I can all 3 installs to work satisfactorily.
Outdoor, HD Digital Rotating Antenna Work Well
September 28, 2017
Construction is study enough for colder climates. It remains to be seen if the item will hold up against the South Carolina Summer sun. Works as advertised and pulls in signals very well. Does not have to be too elevated to pull in signals. We are in a slight valley with trees all around, and the item is nowhere near high enough to 'see' over the horizon, but it picks up signals well. Obviously, the higher up you put the antenna the more channels you will get. Does NOT come with an in-line surge protector. Because this plugs DIRECTLY into the television, I would recommend a surge protector the can handle coaxial cable so the until plugs into the surge protector and the surge protector plug into the TV.
Good Antenna - weak rotor
December 9, 2016
The antenna arrived quickly in good condition. It was easy to assemble and mount onto my mast. We live in an area that is noted for having poor reception so I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to pull in 130+ channels. The antenna is relatively small, so it requires the use of the amplifier at all times. I'm not sure how the rotor is supposed to work exactly, but I have found that if I manually aim the antenna and then fine tune using the rotor, it is satisfactory. The rotor control is weak and the range on the remote is short, but I will not use the rotor unless I have to change the location or strong winds move the antenna. Over-all, the antenna is quite satisfactory.
Amazing antenna!
June 12, 2016
I was very skeptical that this antenna would pull in distant stations any better than some more expensive ones we had tried, but this thing is amazing. We typically get 5 or 6 stations, with this we are getting 18 digital channels, some from as far as 125 miles. The major gripe I have is there is no indication of which way antenna is pointing. And since remote control is IR, you have to be in line of site to receiver. And from there I can't see antenna. So it is very iterative and annoying to change direction, and in our area you have to do that due to locations of stations. It needs a N-S-E-W indicator. Otherwise it works better than any antenna I've ever tried.
Works great and it beats paying a cable or satelite bill.
February 26, 2016
I bought the Amplified HD Digital Outdoor HDTV Antenna because I was tired of paying $95 for my Dish Network bill.
The Antenna shipped fast and was well packaged. Assembly was a snap. Just a few screws to mount the rotator motor, and a couple screws to put the signal receiving bars on.
The Antenna is made of mostly plastic but seems to be heavy duty so hopefully it will last.
As far as how well the Antenna works I live roughly 60 miles from the closest broadcast channels. I was able to pick up 8 channels just by putting the antenna in the window. I need to get a pole mounted outside so I can get the Antenna up higher in hopes of getting channels from another town the opposite direction.
So far I would recommend this Antenna.

December 18, 2015
This antenna works pretty well. We are approximately 50 miles (road) from a major city, and we are able to pick up quite a few channels with this antenna. We erected a hollow steel pole where we wanted to place the antenna, and attached it to a wooden fence with some "C" shaped holders, so that we can manually turn the antenna when we need to make it face a different direction. The remote to control how it turns, never worked for us, so we resorted to using the pole method. We did try to mount it in the attic, but it did not work for us, maybe we are just too far away from the transmissions.

It's good, but for my purposes in the attic
April 6, 2017
I used this to mount an antenna in my attic. It's good, but for my purposes in the attic, a simple metal pipe and a few mounting straps from the home improvement store would have worked just as well - for less money. On the other hand, for an outdoor mount where appearance is more important, this product is a good choice.
What more can you ask for?
November 7, 2016
It's a pipe, no it's an antenna stand, it's both. Works OK. Didn't love the way the mounting holes are as it can be tough to get it locked down but does the job
It was easy to mount and it looks professional
June 10, 2016
Did the trick. It was easy to mount and it looks professional... not that most people will even notice it, as it's nice and compact! The mounting plate was a little bit bigger than fascia I was mounting it to, so I was only able to use three of the screws provided, but those screws are obviously strong... I've had a couple HEAVY wind storms a mile from the beach on the east coast and it's holding strong.
Needs Instructions
March 9, 2016
Works great once you figure it out. With absolutely NO instructions, you are on your own figuring out how it works. The "instruction" sheet is basically a graphic image; that's it. No step by step or helpful hints. I basically had to completely uninstall it to get it right, which was wasted time and effort which could be avoided with a few written sentences.

November 29, 2015
Looks larger in picture although the dimensions were correct in the product description. It has hardware to mount on a surface, but does not have hardware to mount the antenna on the mount's pipe. I did not have a problem installing it on my roof with the hardware provided. If the antenna mounts to the end of the pipe, make sure the pipe is the right diameter for the antenna.
Easy to assemble, good quality
August 10, 2015
Good antenna mount. Included all the hardware, along with gasket pads (look kind of like little stick on squares of roof tar) that go between the shingle a metal base. You drive the screws through the pad to seal the hole in the shingle. In addition to those, I caulked around the base, and filled in the other holes not being used to prevent water from getting under it.Mount was easy to assemble and was nice and long to get my DB4e antenna plenty high.

November 9, 2017
Just one word, "Professional".I bought two different cables from Mediabridge and was very impressed with:1. very nice packaging.2. Nicely bundled and wrapped.3. "Dust caps" that keeps the center conductor secure and clean. I've never had these from other sellers.4. Cable clips to secure the cables down (not a whole lot, but way better than none). I've never had these from other sellers.5. Notification from the seller that: It's coming, contact information for any issues, and the usual "satisfaction inquiry". I've never had these from other sellers.I wished that they sold all the different lengths that I needed.
Hard to tighten
October 10, 2017
Hard to get a tight fit but when you get out a wrench to do it the connection seems to be just fine.

March 15, 2017
I ordered 2 cables, and 3 of the blue end pieces that make them easier to screw in popped off. Not a big deal, the cables seemed to work okay. I ordered long ones because it was going to be a while before the cable company could get to my new house to get the living room outlet working, so I ran it from the only working outlet in the far bedroom to the TV . I probably had about 10' of cable left, it wasn't stretched tightly from one end to the other. The signal was weak and kept dropping, but I don't necessarily think that was the fault of the cable.
Good quality cable, easy to use connector, but check your plug first
May 5, 2014
The cable arrived on time, and it's been performing quite well, with no real impact on quality despite the 50 foot length. The connectors have this great design (not shown in the photo) which allows you to simply slip a covering over the plug to instantly secure it, rather than twisting and twisting forever. This was great for the wall plug. However - as I discovered - if the cable box has a short plug, the relatively long covering may not fit snugly. I was able to make it fit, but it is still easily jostled loose. Nonetheless, would still highly recommend, so long as your plug is standard-length.

November 11, 2017
This is actually a well-designed antenna, and once I resolved some problems, it works well. The directions for assembly are horrible. The kit requires some assembly and they left out 4 screws. Not only that, the direction sheet list certain screws, that are different then what is described in the directions. The remote control was DOA. I had to resolder a cold joint on the board. So the bottom line, probably ok if you get a good one. or be ready to do some handy work. Also, it does come with two a cables, one form the antenna to the controller, and a short one from the controller to the TV..
No miracles
August 24, 2017
UHF performance is decent. VHF performance is nonexistent. One of the six stations here is VHF (and of course it's the one I'm most interested in) and where I can get spotty coverage of this station from bunny ears It's absolutely dead with this antenna. This is a bad VHF antenna. Not good at all.

"150 miles" might be possible in perfect conditions, say from one mountaintop to another where you can see the TV transmitter tower with a telescope. But for fun I pointed the antenna at a distant city and I was able to pull in some channels from 70 miles away.

As other reviewers noted, the rotor is quick, which can make it hard to dial in--especially if you aren't able to watch the antenna as you click. Another quirk is that though the remote has two buttons to make you think that one is left and one is right, they both do the same and should be labeled "TURN RANDOM DIRECTION" (there is a single button on the power injector labeled "Rotate", and this is I suppose much more accurate). You pretty much have to have eyes on to aim the antenna in a particular direction.

That said, once you have your stations all programmed into your television, the antenna is somewhat easier to use. If you hold the button, the antenna will turn and reverse when it hits the stop (i.e. if you keep holding the button, it would rotate 360 degrees left, then 360 degrees right, then 360 degrees left, and so on). So this way you could tune to the station and then just hold the button until the channel comes in. Not all that useful if you want to use your DVR.
ANTENNA - IT WORKS !!!!
July 16, 2017
The antenna does work! The instructions and directions were very poor in explaining how to make it all function. We are on a deer camp in the Texas hill country South of Llano, middle of Central Texas and do receive AUSTIN local channels about 90 miles away on this anteena. However, could not get San Antonio which is 120 miles away. The remote does rotate the antenna but no degree measurement. Made in China, it is of very poor quality........could not believe until I was putting the pieces together. YOU do really get what you pay for in this Antenna Kit. All parts were in the box. I did the install alone, however, would recommend you have a second person to help adjust antenna and TV.
A follow up
June 22, 2017
It's now been over a year with this antenna and it is still receiving channels. I am half way between Charleston SC and Savannah GA but the Chas channels are tough to get. I only have it mounted 6' off the ground and have bought some pvc pipe to get it above my roofline and this should help quite a bit. One suggestion for people that have bought this and lost channels is to replace the cable. I bought the amazon basic cable and the signal strength Improved greatly (it's cheaper than buying another antenna) Like most, my rotating drive has failed because the motor they use is woefully undersized and I had found plastic chips jammed in the drive gear. All in all it does what I need and works even in a downpour, unlike our directv.
Okay, good value for the price
February 25, 2017
I decided to cut the cord and pick up the local stations over the air. Originally I purchased one of the flat panel antennas you can hang on the wall, with advertised 50 mile range. The towers are just over 25 miles from my house. It picked up most the channels well, with the exception of FOX and when the wind or rain come the picture would go in and out on most all the channels. Decided to try this outdoor one with the 150 mile range to see if it would be more reliable. The antenna its self is kind of cheap looking, plastic parts, etc, but it seams study enough for hanging out on a pole. Assembly was easy, connections are easy, just to note, you only need to run the coaxial cable outside to the antenna, the amplifier that gets the 120v is inside next to the TV. It picks up a few more stations than the indoor 50 mile range one does, and it gets FOX really well, but it gets CBS worse, go figure. Also it has the same problems with wind and rain. So in the end, I switch back and forth between the two, and if its windy or rainy I watch Hulu.
I was able to assemble the antenna within about 15-minutes ...
May 27, 2016
I was able to assemble the antenna within about 15-minutes. It would have been quicker but one of the mounting holes was off center and not aligned with the rest; I had to drill a new pilot hole. The tolerances of the hole and the antenna pipe were tight; I had to sand the pipe end quite a lot to make the unit fit. Once I finally got it together and on the roof, I was able to receive stations from about 45-miles away, I have not tried any other directions for further stations. The one thing it is missing that would be extremely helpful is a direction indicator. I know the direction of stations particular stations but I have to move the antenna a little bit, go outside to check the direction then come in and do it again until it is in the proper location. Then I have to reassign stations. Other than what is mentioned above, stations do come in very clear.

Mount is ok, what I was upset about is I called Antennas Direct to see if base plate was the same as on the 30" mast and they said yes when it wasn't even close. I had purchased 2 of the Clear View 4's with 30" masts. But the mast wasn't high enough. I didn't want to have to put in 4 new screw holes, I wanted to use the original holes form the 30" mast. Well whom ever I talked to just flat out told me alternative facts.

I was looking for a nice heavy duty pole and was somewhat disappointed with the quality. It was not heavy and I did manage to put some wrinkles in the pole just attaching the antenna. Where I tightened down the clamps on the antenna it did but dings in the pole. I guess the antenna won't slide up or down with it bent like that. The paint was good and the way it mounted to the home was good.
Pipe easily crushes when tighted
July 8, 2013
I have an "Antennas Direct ClearStream4 HDTV Antenna" on top of this and the antenna moved back and forth, so I tightened it more. It still moved, so it tightened it more - both bolts. This continued until I looked at the pipe and realized it was crushing. I stopped, but the antenna still moved. I'm hoping that it will rust in place and not move anymore. Well, that's my strategy anyway. I hope it works.

It seems like a good cable as long as you use it as purchased. I wanted to cut it into smaller lengths and use crimp on RG6 F connectors. Unfortunately the OD of this cable does not fit into a standard RG6 connector, I had to sand the diameter to fit into the connector

Good Reception but Poor Rotor
October 4, 2017
Normally I like this design and have good results. As far as pulling in a signal this antennae is good (if not great). I frequently receive signals more than 100 miles away. The pre-amp is certainly a must in digital antennas. The reason for two stars is simply - when I recieved the antennae the rotor didn't work out of the box. I was more or less expecting the rotor to quit soon after installation but I certainly wasn't expecting it to arrive DOA. That being said, if you don't mind turning the antenna by hand - it's a good antenna.
Lousy directions and missing screws.
September 17, 2017
Antenna came but some screws were missing and it was impossible to assemble without them. I don't have a hardware store nearby to try to find the right size because everything I had on hand didn't fit. I tried to contact the seller, but seller did not respond. I had Asurian protection, and they were clueless too. No help. They said to go back to Amazon. Thankfully, Amazon DID come to the rescue to help me out. As far as I know, antenna probably works, but as of now it remains without the base. I held it up and connected the coax cable, and I did get some channels, so I gave it 2 stars. If you get one, have a hardware store nearby. It seems as if the turning mechanism would work if attached, but I don't know how accurate it is.
Decent antenna. Lousy motor control
September 13, 2017
This antenna appears to be highly directional and, during my testing, I was able to receive signals from transmitters about 75 miles away. HOWEVER... it's directionality also created a serious problem for me. I am able to receive signals from several distant transmitters, one to the West, two to the Northeast and several to the Southeast. That means the antenna must be rotated frequently to permit reception from several sources. The antenna was mounted on a tall mast and not in a direct line-of sight from the control (including the remote) so it was very difficult to aim it precisely in the direction of the transmitters. Unless the antenna is accurately pointed, the signal is unusable. Other motor-rotated antennas include a control/display that indicates the direction of the antenna. After a few days of struggling, I gave up and returned the antenna.

If you only need to point the antenna in one direction or in a narrow range and are willing to experiment, you may find it to be useful for you, but it was poorly suited for my needs
Junk
August 25, 2017
Well it works bringing in far (70) miles or so stations. I has to be mounted on a pole and the pole needs to be mounted onto a building or house. It was easy to put together. But the motor that turns it to fine tune quit after TWO moves, not 360 moves but like maybe 45-50 degrees. So I had to go back up the ladder and back onto the roof twice to see what happened, nothing was loose so i moved it by hand. I don't get all the channels I should. So I found a happy medium. Two stars because It's junk.
Not as good as Walmart's
August 17, 2017
I live about 50 miles from Modesto. With my $99 Walmart amplified antenna I get 24 channels. With this one I get 11. The adjustment feature is really useless for me. I ended up just aiming it where I got the most channels. But in the end I just put the Walmart one back up. I was hoping it would give me more channels as it says it can go 150 miles. Well that's funny, the Walmart one says 60. Also if I turn it off it's amplification it gets zero channels. Turn off the Walmart one and I still get 6.
You get what you pay for
August 9, 2017
When I first put the antenna up I was very happy with it. I received 19 digital channels even though my house is in the middle of the woods. However, one day later I am receiving about half that many channels. Most likely that wouldn't be a problem if the antenna would rotate the way it is advertised. Unfortunately, after only one day the motor is apparently burned out. Which means I either have to put up with it or climb on the roof to manually adjust the antenna. Additionally, assembling the antenna is not as easy as it should be. There is a square metal rod that fits into the base that was so difficult to get in I had to disassemble the case in order to insert it. I wish that I would have purchased a more robust antenna.

The specs on this product read "40-Inch x 1 -Inch diameter" The diameter is actually 1 5/8" so it wouldn't work for me right out of the box, had to get a 1" pipe to slide inside of it to mount my discone antenna on.Other than that, it is built solidly. I would have given it 5 stars had it been the diameter it was advertised as being.

It is an antenna poll that arrived late and defective
February 22, 2014
Not a whole lot to say, it is a antenna mounting pole. Arrived with everything you need, seemed to be made of quality materials and would have worked for the most part, except for the defect. The unit arrived later then promised. Unit mounting plate was not formed (stamped) correctly and defective from the manufacture. Returned the unit, as I had already ordered and received another unit from Amazon from a different supplier (Winegard DS-3000 J Pipe Mount.) Good thing, as if I had waited the project would have slipped further behind due to defect.

good cable; worthless connectors
December 3, 2015
I bought this to replace a cable I was using for my router and modem (home wi-fi). However I encountered weekly, if not more often, dropped internet connections. After several visits from Time Warner techs trying to figure out the intermittent problems they determined the connectors were the source of resistance such that my upload (return signal) was so poor that the signal would not lock on. I had to constantly reset my connection; sometimes 2 or 3 times in a day. Once TWC replaced the connectors, I have not since had a single problem. The tech was impressed with the cable itself; he asked if I had gotten it from them. But what good is it if it has such resistance in the connectors that you get dropped connections?? It certainly isn't their responsibility to fix the crummy hardware which customers buy through Amazon.

Ok - love Mediabridge and their products and pricing
March 15, 2015
Ok - love Mediabridge and their products and pricing. Great value overall! This should be - and for the most part is - a 5 star product. However, when I trimmed the cable and added a new end connector it seemed as if the cable is .5mm wider then any there coax I have worked with in the past. It took a great deal of effort and numerous attempts to get the new connector on this cable after cutting this cable. So, if you are intending to trim this wire be forewarned. I did eventually work but was very tight and took a few tries.P.S. - It's funny that almost every 3 star rating says "'haven't used" or "didn't need"

Cable Received Not as Described
January 7, 2012
I bought this Mediabridge 50 ft coaxial cable in November 2011 on the basis of good reviews and that it was a dual-shielded cable with compression/"easy grip" connectors. What I got was a cable with no compression connectors and no easy grip connectors. I can't even tell if it's dual-shielded since there's no printing on the cable saying so. The connectors look like a typical f-type connector you get on a standard cable found at your local electronics store. The picture of the cable at the time (had gray easy grip/compression connectors) on Amazon was different than the one that's currently shown with red easy grip connectors. But if you checked the photo on the Mediabridge company website in November, the cable photo there didn't show compression or easy grip connectors and the product description didn't mention said connectors either. Unfortunately, I checked Mediabridge's website after I received the cable. If I had known the actual Mediabridge cable I'd get wasn't going to be what was pictured/described on Amazon, I wouldn't have bought it. I could've bought a similar GE cable for 50% less. So am I satisfied with the cable? I can't say that I am. I can't return it to Amazon since it's past 30 days. I should mention I haven't used the cable yet. Haven't even opened the bag, but it could be the cable performs great despite the connectors being just standard F-Type connectors and then maybe not. My beef is what I got was not what was described and I was expecting compression connectors at the least. Since this is a product "sold by Mediabridge" and "fulfilled by Amazon," I think Mediabridge bears the responsibility of describing the product correctly or having an up-to-date photo on Amazon. If you want to buy this cable, buyer beware. Be sure to check Mediabridge's website for the current description/photo of the cable and decide if that's what you want before you order, because it may not match what you see on Amazon.UPDATE (Jan. 19, 2012) - Finally used this Mediabridge 50 ft. cable. The cable sent to me definitely DOES NOT have compression connectors, and the cable isn't any more pliable to handle. As for picture quality, it's improved, but it's replacing a cable that's been hanging outside for over 20 years. Most likely any new cable from any manufacturer would offer better video quality. I would not recommend this cable for outdoor use if you're planning to install outside to a rooftop antenna. The plain vanilla f-type connectors on this Mediabridge cable offer little protection to guard against the weather other than what looks like a cheap piece of black tape with the Mediabridge name printed on it. I had to construct a boot to protect the connectors for outside use. Not happy about that. That's an added cost to me. I would not buy this Mediabridge cable again. I can now find a *name brand* RG6 w/24k gold-plated compression connectors, quad-shield, weather proof pliable cable, with a ground wire from my local electronics store for a comparable price. Bottom line: buy name brand if you can or go to your local hardware store that sells RG6 cable for cents/ft.

Failed after a year
September 13, 2017
It lasted a little over a year. Motor controls never worked, but that was fine since I pointed it in the direction I needed it and didn't want it to move. All was great, then it quit working. The light on the outside doesn't come on anymore. I am buying a replacement that is similar but a bit more robust. I will replace antenna first and then control box to to see where the point of failure was and report back, I assume it is on the antenna side since it doesn't light up and the box still does. I will also be taking it apart and hopefully just replacing some minor component so I'll have a spare.

I wish I could pin down a failure reason, it was working fine through lightning storms and through winter freeze, then just failed out of the blue on a beautiful day with no wind or significant heat/cold.
Disappointing
September 11, 2017
It just doesn't work. I installed it per instructions but even the first day I received only 2 stations- a CBS affiliate 40 miles away and a PBS station 14 miles away. The antenna advertising says it reaches 120 miles, and I know there are more than 20 stations within that distance. The second day as I was watching the CBS affiliate the station slowly faded to black screen, and I couldn't receive either station. Plus, the antenna rotator didn't work. I had to stand on my 2 story roof and manually rotate the antenna while trying to receive any TV stations. Emails to the company never received a reply, including my request for return and refund instructions. I finally bought another antenna and receive over 20 stations. Very disappointing.
Does not work - do not buy
August 14, 2017
I tried this antenna out and according to my LG OLEDE5P set, there was no signal strength - that's zero, as in none, nada. I also tried out an old rabbit ear antenna with a bow tie antenna for UHF. I managed to get one local station with that but again, I got nothing with this antenna.

If you buy it and decide to send it back, don't force the back reflectors to fold back up again. They lock into position and you will damage the cheap plastic housing if you force it. You'll need to figure out how to unlock the reflectors to fold them back up.
Died after 45 days, power led light on antenna no longer comes on
July 7, 2016
Lots of plastic components, Has to be from China. However I had a Mohu Leaf 60 indoors and didn't get VHF 12.x or 25.x (ABC and NBC), both stations are 22 miles away. Florida is flat. So an expensive Mohu 60 mile indoor antenna wasn't cutting it. I stuck this on a 25ft pole and now get both channels crystal clear. All starions near me are in same general direction. Other option I considered was the Mohu Sky or Winegard or ChannelMaster products.

Update bought May 24 and it died on July 6 2016. The power light on the main unit on antenna no longer comes on. I live in North Florida and outdoor heat was 97 degrees last week. Didn't survive the heat being outdoors I bet. Plan to look at the Mohu Sky 60 on same pole.
Amplifier failed after a month
May 26, 2016
I selected this Antenna based on the Description on Amazon. The Antenna looks special but the looks are deceiving. I wasn't able to get channels from our local station 12 miles away. With lots of up and down the Ladder making adjustment I finally got 2 stations.
I was able to receive the two station for about a month; then the Amplifier quit working. Junk, don't buy.
The Rotor is unbelievably poor design. There is no indication of where it is pointing. You need to go outside and see where it is pointing. When you push a button, one time it will rotate left... The next time it may rotate right. Very poor resolution. I purchased a simple C shaped Antenna for less money and it got all the channels and one I didn't know existed.
Don't waste your time or money, it isn't worth it. It may work at first but it will fail.
and the control box hums and chatters like it has 10000 volts going through it
January 12, 2016
Bought, Installed (after having to clear flashing from almost every assembly hole with a drill), no instructions, no short wire from box to tv, no way to tell what way the antenna turns without seeing it, and the control box hums and chatters like it has 10000 volts going through it. NOT UL LISTED. On top of that, we got less channels with it while it worked than with a piece of coax thrown over a tree branch (what we had before). LESS channels. Box has to be powered at all times for the 'amp' to work. Only mine didn't. It bitched up and gave an orange light within 5 minutes of powering up, and then I started to smell electrical smell and smoke..by now the transformer in the box is literally growling and chattering. Return requested, lucky it DIDN'T BURN OUR HOUSE DOWN. Thanks amazon, this can go with the pc that shipped with bad ram, and the roku tv that arrived broken. Im starting to wonder if Amazon doesnt buy the returns from major companies and cross their fingers! I go through a reputable online seller like Amazon to AVOID things like this happening. Hasn't done me a lot of good. :(

NOT as described
January 19, 2017
The part number on the box agreed but the label says it is Coaxial Digital Audio Cable - NOT RG6 cable for cable internet & video. I might not have discovered this, but I ran it through the wall, cut to length and tried to attach compression RG6 connector on the cut end. It does not appear to have tri-shield and the cable is much thinner than the openings in the RG6 connectors I was trying to install with a compression tool.
