Excellent performance, size & price. Indoor only mount.
August 10, 2017
I'm 50 miles from New Orleans transmitters, so flat ground and few buildings. Antenna is mounted in attic about 11 feet above ground level with 20ft of RG6 cable feeding a single TV. I pick up every available New Orleans station at about 80% signal strength (TV has signal strength indicator bars). That is just enough to not have stuttering and drop outs in the picture. I have a signal amp available but don't have any reason to use it, yet. At 70% signal when I was holding antenna by hand at ground level just after assembly some of the channels would freeze or stutter.
Assembly was a little bit tricky because everything is so lightweight and I didn't want to damage anything. The picture on the box also helped when I was unclear about which part went where. Everything for assembly and mounting is included. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver and maybe a drill to attach mounting bracket to wooden rafter in attic. The supplied mounting screws are aluminum and too easy to strip the head off.
I was willing to spend $120 on a giant antenna but thanks to this excellent GE product I don't have to.
Description is very clear about indoor attic mount only. This antenna too lightweight and too fragile to survive unprotected outdoor mounting. This is back up in case the cable goes out so I can still get local news & weather.
WANT TO SAVE OVER $1500.00 A YEAR?
March 17, 2017
I bought this antenna on February 27th ($39.50) and received it March 1st. Also bought the 4 Port Cable TV/HDTV/Digital Amplifier Internet Modem Signal Booster Internet AMP for another $26.17, then off to Home Depot for 25 feet of electrical wire, an outlet box, GFCI outlet, and outlet cover. Went to tvfool.com to check on the orientation. For the cable run, I used the existing runs that Dish had previously installed. Installed the outlet by taking power from the attic light. All told, it took about $100.00 and a couple of hours worth of work to get everything installed. Now I have ALL the local channels over the air (OTA) and Netflix, Amazon Video, and a bunch of other streaming apps on my smart TV if I want them.

But the biggest benefit is not having to pay $130.00 each month to Dish!! For less than 1 monthly payment up front, I am now saving $1560.00 a year!!
Works great...Mast included
November 13, 2016
Works great. I live in the OKC area and have transmission towers in two locations that are separated by about 90°. By pointing a single unit to just one of the locations works for all of the stations fine while using a signal splitter.
No need to buy a pipe and floor flange for a mast...a mast and mounting hardware is included. Fairly light duty but fine for attic.
Very, very pleased with this antenna.
April 29, 2016
Easy to construct and install. Light weight makes it simple to mount most anywhere in ones attic and it isn't too large. I screwed a 2 X 4 flat between two trusses and mounted the antenna there so I can still adjust it if needed and out of the way do I don't hit it when storing items up in the garage attic. I did use a RCA TVPRAMP1R preamplifier with this and 50' of coaxial. I am picking up 44 stations with many of them 40-50 miles away. Granted it is flat around here and no big high rises or buildings in the way, but I was very impressed with the reception.
Before I installed it in the attic I hooked it up by itself to the TV and was picking up 16 stations without the preamp. This way I knew it would work before going through the hassle of installing it in the attic and finding out I couldn't receive any stations.
I used antennaweb to find the best direction to point the antenna and then Google Maps on my iPad to line it up.
Picked up more stations than I expected
February 4, 2016
I looked around at quite a few antennas on Amazon and ended up choosing this one. While the antenna was on the way I used TVFool.com to view on a map where different antennas are located in my area. I picked a heading with the most antennas and then averaged the heading from all of the antennas in that general direction.

Once the antenna arrived I put the thing together. It took about 15 minutes. Not the most straightforward assembly, but not too bad either.

After putting the antenna together I climbed up into the attic and installed it as high as possible. I used my iPhone to level the antenna and also to point it at the exact heading I had averaged out before.

Lastly, I scanned for channels on my TV. For the first half of the scan it did not pick anything up. I began to expect the worst. Shortly after the TV tuner began picking up all sorts of stations. In total I ended up with 68 total! Now a lot of these channels are terrible, but they're also free, so...

All in all I'm very happy with my purchase. I pick up all of the major broadcast networks, a few cool random networks, and some junk channels. I have had zero interference or drops in picture. I have since ordered an HDHomeRun tuner to pair with my 4th gen Apple TV. Between Netflix, Hulu, and the Channels App (getchannels.com) paired with this antenna, I'm set!

Works great
September 20, 2017
I'm using this for Charter cable TV and it works great. The signal coming into my house is about -6db as measured by cable modem. The problem is that I need to split this feed to 2 TVs and 1 cable modem. The standard procedure is to split the main feed and send one leg to the cable modem and the other leg to yet another splitter which feeds both TVs. So without this amp my cable modem gets -9db and my TVs get -12 and -14 (one coax run is long so has more loss). With this amp I am only boosting the two TV legs. I do not have the cable modem hooked up to it. My TV signals are now 0db and -3db respectively and the signal-to-noise ratios are higher too.
Solid performance and built quality
September 20, 2017
Solid, both in built quality and performance. I used to have Comcast cable feed in garage, into a 2 port Motorola amplifier before going to 2 different rooms (one for TV, another for internet). Now that we canceled our Comcast services, I ran a cable from my antenna in the attic to the garage, and split the signal with is amplifier to 4 prewired rooms. (Funny 2 of the rooms follow almost the same path with the feed from the antenna, back upstairs to the attic...) Excellent receptions. Working great for my application.
Really cleared up my secondary Dish signal!
September 19, 2017
I have the standard Dish DVR with an 1080p HDMI output for one TV, and a 480i cable output for a second TV. The picture on the second TV has been awful. Plus, that signal is split between two TVs hung back to back on an interior/exterior wall.NOTE: The instructions clearly state this is not for satellite. I suspect that this means it cannot be placed between the satellite antenna and receiver. I didn't even try to place it there, and recommend you follow those instructions as well.I installed this on the cable line OUTBOUND from the Dish DVR. This outlet transmits a standard cable signal on Channels 60 and 62. The improvement on both remote TVs was immediately visibly. Much of the snow and graininess disappeared, and the picture sometimes appears to rival my HDMI - but not quite.. Nevertheless I am quite happy and until I can move to the Hopper/Joeys this is going right where it is!.
Great for expanding reception devices, as designed.
September 8, 2017
Works as designed, no signal loss, used to add Receiver FM antenna input to use and eventual DVR to my dual, DB4E (UHF) and C5 (VHF), antennas. I already have their 8-1 Distribution Amp supplying the whole house from the aforementioned antennas using RG6 cabling and use this on the end of one of those lines that goes to the family room. The reception improves with the 8-1 but this model has no significant difference. After adding the PCT 8-1 model to both antennas the DB4E antenna now gets a station 57 miles away while most are 22-24 miles away. The signal almost never goes out, UHF got stronger when adding the C5 and not just VHF, except for a few seconds a week on the PBS station 57 miles away. It is strong enough to DVR and my wanted FM radio station have lost all static and I receive about twice as many stations (from 6 programmed FM stations to 12 programmed FM stations out of 23 clear FM stations and 4 new static ones). I used RG6 cabling. Will not work for satellite dish amplification which need 2 GHz upper bandwidth not 1 GHz upper bandwidth, designed for AM/FM/VHF/UHF OTA use. Uses Coaxial power so it can be placed fan away from receptacle via additional cable line. Can be placed in attic but not outdoors rated. Has LED to confirm it is getting power. Designed to be screwed in place but may be left hanging loose too.
Works GREAT!

Ordered on Friday at 7:30PM.. Item arrived on Saturday at 7:30 AM.. Wow... And best part? The item works great! We've been having some weak signal issues with Comcast. We have 5 boxes.. 3 of the TV's were pixelated on many stations. Once installed the issue is gone. All stations work well. Now the only concern will be weather proofing it. I will enclose to be sure it can survive a North East winter. Wish I would have bought this sooner.
Great amp!
October 1, 2013
I purchased this drop amp for use with a weak cable provider signal (no OTA) caused by splitters. Our "drop" line comes from the utility pole to a cable company owned box attached our home and is split three ways in the box before entering the house. I assume the signal within the box meets cable provider spec to handle this 3-way split. One line from the box directly feeds the HD digital set-top-box in our living room. Another line from the box goes directly to a kitchen TV.The third line was giving us problems. This line went to a 3-way cable company provided splitter. This splitter created a 3.5db loss to one exit line and -7db to each of the others. The -7db lines traveled to bedroom TVs at the far end of the house. The -3.5db line went through 50ft of coax and was split 3-ways again (more attenuated signal) by the cable provider for telephone, another TV and the modem. The three TVs connected to lines involved in this 3-way/3-way again split suffered signal loss resulting in poor picture quality, especially in the mid bands. The final TV in the run also could not tune in any digital channels.I replaced the first 3-way splitter in the troubled line with the PCT 4 Port Cable TV/HDTV/Digital Amplifier Internet Modem Signal Booster providing a stated 8db gain (says so on the amp) to each exit line (using an F-type 75 ohm Terminator for the unused line) and the signal has been greatly improved. The three TVs connected to the PCT now produce a clear picture on all channels. Although our telephone and Internet did not seem to have a problem before, I assume they also now receive some benefit from the PCT drop amp. This unit appears to be quite well made and of professional quality in a small form factor. For the price, you cannot beat this amp -- highly recommended.

This thing is amazing. My channels come in much stronger now. I wonder how much electricity it uses, since it's on all the time, but I would guess not a lot. Regardless, it's the difference between being happy I cut the cable cord. It has a green light that shines all the time, I guess to let you know it's working. Ironically, I felt that I got better reception without it when it was unplugged. They also make models with more splitters if you need more than two. If you live 30 miles from the antennas or more, I would recommend all antenna users to get this. You'll probably get more channels as a result. Raising the antenna helped, too, and implementing both gives the best results.
Gained 10+ channels.
August 28, 2017
So about my setup: I have a cheap (~15$) paper thin antenna from the Target clearance isle placed in a window on the top floor of my home (the most northern window on that floor due to tower location). That antenna has a preamp and is plugged into my cable connector and ran through my old directv wiring to the basement and then to my tvs of choice (still using the DTV wiring).Ok so I say all that to say I have some loss through the cable and splitter. I picked up 20 channels initially but there were only a few that were "stable". I need local channels for football season so that was not going to work.Bought this small but sturdy amp, placed it upstairs directly from my cheapo antenna and gained 10+ channels but more importantly stabilized the channels that were scrambled. Easy setup and easy solution.
A good investment for sure
July 3, 2017
After installing a new antenna, I scanned for channels and was receiving about 25 channels. I really did not think this amplifier would make much difference but was I ever pleasantly surprised! I was getting at least 10 more channels so I started messing with the location of the antenna and I wound up getting more than 50 channels. I know I could get more with a rotor but I don't know if it would be worth the effort and money. I could probably get channel 6 from Johnstown and 7 from Steubenville along with CHS 8 and 10 from Altoona but I don't think I'd get anything different except their local news. I already get all the networks. I should have done this a long time ago!
Amazed at the Difference it Made
February 2, 2017
I have a roof-mount HD antenna pointed at our nearest tower 33 miles away. I just used the house cabling and splitter that DirecTV had left. The antenna was great for a while, but we started getting pixelated channels and others that were too weak to display. We're hosting a Super Bowl party Sunday and I couldn't chance the channel not coming in with 15 impatient viewers.I installed the Channel Master amplifier outside our house where the old splitter was. The housing is nice and weatherproofed. I purchased a longer 25' coax cable to power the unit so that it would reach an outlet on the outside of our house; I plan to permanently power it via an outlet in the crawlspace though.Immediately after connecting everything up, all of our weak and pixelated channels came in clearly! I'm amazed at how such a simple fix resolved all of our issues with weak signal and poor-quality splitters. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to overcome degraded signal due to splitters or too many TVs hooked up to the splitter.
Best product to increase TV Signal Strength to each room of your House!
January 28, 2017
Cut the Cord with Outdoor Antenna. My house has numerous coaxial cable outlets to each room and signal was weak. So I installed the Channel Master 8 port and the signal strength doubled! Picture is clearly sharper and much better than before. Another benefit is that I went from 33 to 60 channels!
Helped a lot at a good price - Channel Master CM 3412
December 6, 2016
Channel Master CM 3412This splitter/amplifier has made a huge difference in our OTA reception. The box contained the signal amp/splitter, an AC converter for power, a 6' RF cable to go from the AC converter to the unit and instructions. We got a new TV and were having some trouble with weak signals and pixellation, which was variable. The signal seemed to be affected by the many trees we have around the house and there is an approximately 60 foot run of coax cable from the roof antenna to the TV location. As soon as this was plugged in (a 3-4 minute process) the improvement was apparent immediately. Although we are not 100% problem-free, I’d say there was a 90% improvement in signal strength, and clarity of the picture.Occasionally, especially at night or in bad weather, there are intermittent problems when large vehicles go by on the road; and we are about 10 miles from an airport so I think we may be getting some interference from planes taking off and approaching. I don't think there is much I can do about that. (Never had a problem with analog TV though!) But most of the time watching is a pleasure.I would definitely recommend this item, it’s a real bargain problem solver at the price. See picture for what's in the box.

Excellent Coaxial Cable for Cable TV Cord Cutting Outside Antenna
September 21, 2017
I recently ordered 1byown 85 miles digital amplified antenna and this product with a GE 23203 Cable Extension Adaptor were included on the page as also bought by customers. I ordered all three items and gave as a gift to an electronics engineer who loves tinkering with anything electronic. He was sure these items added could not be good, but upon checking, he was surprised and happy. They met his standards. He is also one very happy guy playing with his new antenna. He now has it getting 20 channels with most in HD, including FOX and Channel 10. He is still playing with it as I type. Excellent Coaxial Cable!
A good cable at a good price.
May 3, 2017
I used the Mediabridge coaxial cable with a antennae I bought for my rv that I used in the woods. The antennae was touted for a 150 mile range and I needed that for the fact that I was a good long ways from a city in the California foothills and I wanted clarity on the cable lines without interference. This cable did just that. With this cable and the antennae I chose I could pick up about 30 channels where before I could receive only 3 to 5.
Seems to be of very good quality
October 27, 2016
This cable appears to be very well made. It is rather stiff, but it will bend with a little help. The metal connectors look to be very sturdy. With items such as this, you can't really give an accurate assessment unless you have some testing equipment and/or you take the item apart to examine it. I don't plan on doing that. I'll just say that I do get a nice, strong signal with this cable. MediaBridge makes good stuff.
Excellent coax cable
May 23, 2016
This is a very good quality cable: rugged and well made. The plastic covers over the end of the connectors protect the center conductor during shipping and installation, especially when you have to feed it through tight spots. Also, the blue plastic sleeves around the nut of the F connector make it easier to tighten it.I purchased this cable to replace a shorter (25') RG-59 with higher losses, to be able to mount the antenna outside. The signal strength seemed better with this longer (50') RG-6.Given the quality and the price, I definitely recommend this product.Second purchase:I recently ordered a second cable to add another antenna to my cable-cut configuration. Mediabridge continues to be my coax cable of choice: solid and well made. The EZ grip connector caps make it much easier to attach, especially in tight places.
would definitely recommend
October 16, 2015
i bought this product with the idea in mind of moving my over-the-air tv antenna from my living room to an unfinished attic. my reception had been good almost all of the time with the antenna in the living room, but there were times when it was 'spotty' on certain channels. i am in a 1.5 story house with 2 very large cottonwood trees across the street from me (they are between me and 2 of the main signals i receive. i needed a high quality cable for this application, and this one really fits that category. i DID have to additionally purchase an adaptor to connect the 2 sections of coaxial cable (1 secton running off the antenna), but i picked it up for under $5, and that was a Monster brand gold-plated unit. the company who manufactures the antenna i have also offered an extension, but theirs was 25 ft. for $30. the MediaBridge unit was twice as long for half the price, and i believe the quality is even better. very happy with this purchase, and i highly recommend it.
This is good quality cable
July 13, 2014
This is good quality cable. The connectors are solidly attached at the ends. You should only use as much cable as you need, because added cable length attenuates the signal, but this is low loss cable and the difference between 25' of cable and 50' of cable probably won't be significant. For outside applications, protect all connections from water, as any water (even humidity) that can make it into the connection will cause corrosion, which is a major source of signal loss. I'd recommend wrapping the sticky rubbery silicone tape that sticks to itself over the connection, sliding heat shrink tubing over that and shrinking it to keep out water. When possible, install connections under eves where they are protected from rain, snow and ice.The blue molded plastic grips on the end connectors allow this cable to be installed by hand, which can be very handy when making blind connections on the back of the TV as it's hanging on a wall mount (detaching the lower portion of the TV from the wall mount and hinging it out from the top helps to make enough clearance), but there is a down side to the plastic connector grips. You'll need to drill a large 9/16" hole in the side of your house if you're running this cable outside to connect to an external antenna.I used this cable to connect a large roof mounted 3'X4' DB8e UHF antenna directly to our Samsung 32" LED TV without using an inline amplifier, and we're picking up strong signals from HDTV stations almost 90 miles away. We get 35 channels of over-the-air HDTV, with no cable bill.I ordered the TV, BluRay/DVD player, coax, antenna mount and antenna from Amazon and it all worked great together. Great price, great value, great convenience. I love shopping on Amazon and having the stuff I want in a couple of days, delivered directly to my door. I don't even watch TV. That's my wife. I do watch some Amazon Prime streaming video, though.

Good performance on UHF, but only alright performance for VHF, overall a good antenna for my area.
August 10, 2017
I am able to get 100% signal on all strong UHF stations without any amps and I even got a UHF station 67 miles away and that is with a powered distribution amp Channel Master CM 3412 2-Port Ultra Mini Distribution Amplifier for cable and antenna signals (CM3412) Although that far away station only shows 1-2 bars of strength so there was a bit blocking sometimes but this antenna is only rated for 60 miles so that is good and another UHF station from about 47 miles comes in better with 2-3 bars of signal without blocking so that is not bad for being mounted in the attic. Of course those channels only seem to come in when the atmospheric conditions allow them to and that isn't a negative for this antenna. The assembly of the antenna was not that hard at all and probably took me around 20-30 minutes. The VHF performance is only alright while the UHF is very good. Actually I now get the Hi-VHF PBS station with good signal once I moved the antenna around a bit. I believe the nuts for the VHF were not tight enough so don't forget to tighten those two nuts when you build this antenna. That is all I get on VHF though and I don't seem to get any weak UHF low powered tv stations either which isn't a problem as they are probably crappy ones but I'd say this probably should be rated at 40 miles to 50 miles and not 60 miles but still its pretty good if you have strong locals, now if you want to pick up very weak stations go for a different antenna and buy a pre-amp for sure. Overall not a bad value at $27 for my area as I pick up everything in green(indoor) and yellow(attic) in my area on tvfool so its working like it should.

July 12, 2017
This product arrived in a long rectangular box. It is not assembled and the enclosed directions were not a lot of help. By referring to the picture and counting the screws and bars, I was able to figure it out in just a few minutes. I live about 50 miles from the nearest broadcasting tower so I didn't have great expectations. The fact that I live in a mobile home doesn't help with reception. With that said, it does pick up at least 1 each for ABC, NBC, and CBS. It is laying on top of a wall unit, not mounted on a pole or in an attic. No, not the prettiest display but I'm sure Better Homes & Gardens won't be showing up asking to put my home on their cover. Seriously, it does exactly the job for which it was purchased. The 4 stars is because of the limited assembly information.
Good enough
September 28, 2016
I'm pleased that I could get the 5 main channels I wanted to get (PBS, NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox) plus a couple of others. But just barely...I had to aim the unit exactly (direction and angle) to successfully receive all signals. I'm directly north or Boston, MA, but 26 miles from where all the transmission towers are west of the city. Handy reference:[...]

I give it max 4 stars because this certainly isn't a "60 mile range" miracle antenna. My area is only slightly hilly, and I located the antenna in the 3rd floor/attic area, 25-30 feet off the ground.

Also, my originally-ordered unit was missing two of the metal loop pieces -- thanks to Amazon for a quick and easy exchange.
Great antenna does what it said!
February 15, 2016
I installed my new HDTV antenna in my attic in my two story home. I live 40 miles North East of Atlanta and now get around 35 digital TV and music channels. I mounted it as high up as possible in my attic, on a wood stud. It has a very nice adjustable mounting bracket. I also added a Reliable 4 port PCT MA2-4p amplifier and also installed in the attic, close to the antenna feed. I ran new RG6 cable feeds to each room from my attic and amplifier.

I'm really amazed how clear the channels are now for free. You have to adjust the position of antenna towards your city or broadcast station transmitters, while someone is watching the signal strength on TV setup, so you will get optimal signals. Overall I give antenna 4 stars due to the antenna being kind of flimsy due to plastic holders.

I now have TV channels in rooms not often used, without having to pay cable TV monthly box rental fee. I may end up adding the rest of my home TV's to new HDTV antenna and canceling cable service, if they go up again on monthly fee. :)
UHF seems fine, but issues with VHF.
December 4, 2015
I wanted to cut the cord, but not give up football, so tried this to get the local channels. I use this in my attic attached to a 1byone OUS00-0293 preamp, connected to the Xbox One receiver and Xbox for pause function (and soon DVR function). I live 45 miles from the broadcast towers, and receive about 44 channels with a pre-amp installed. This is installed in a one-story home attic (placed near the top of the roof about 25' high) with radiant barrier and many large trees surrounding us. I get all of the UHF channels, but unfortunately, none of the VHF channels (ABC/CBS/PBS). Fortunately, I follow an NFC team and they are broadcast on FOX, but for the local team, I can't view them because they are on CBS.

I've considering getting an outdoor antenna, but to be honest, I can't remember the last time I've sat down at a designated time to watch a show "live" (aside from NFL, of course), so "missing" these shows isn't really an issue, since I can see them online the next day anyway. Also, of the 48 available channels, there are really only five or six that are worth watching (unfortunately, I miss four of those because this won't pick up VHF).

Works well but no noticable improvement.
September 14, 2017
Although I cannot see where this improved my video quality at all, I can say that it is working well and I haven't had any issues with it. Previously, I was using a -7 db splitter that was working fine, but I wanted to try a powered one with hopes that the quality would improve some. No loss, no gain, but it does seem like a well constructed unit and it is nice to have it all in one splitter. I DID NOT run my internet through this splitter as I felt it would likely cause a pretty big point of failure.4 Stars because it works but there is no noticeable improvement over a standard -7 db non-powered splitter.
Good Product
May 7, 2017
So far it has performed as described. However, it didn't bring in the primary channel I bought it for. One more word.
my TV was blind but now can see!
September 12, 2015
Ditched the dish over a year ago. I had put an off air antenna in the attic and received ABC, Fox, NBC, CBS (and more)... No problem. We even watched the superbowl without an issue. Then, around March two of my three TV's couldn't get CBS or Fox (I think the cheap booster I had installed crapped out). Fast forward to football season, and that just wasn't going to fly. I turned to Amazon for recommendations and found this.Plugged it in and PRESTO! All my TV's now get great signal again. This is a solid piece of equipment and appears built to last. It's installed in my attic out of sight out of mind. Would recommend to anyone feeding multiple TV's off one antenna.
Good Product

I purchased this to see if it would fix my cable modem dropped connection to my ISP. In Results, the drops have stopped, but I also realized that my cable modem was overheating, so I got a dremel and CPU FAN to customize some cooling and it has purred like a kitten since both fixes. It was a lot larger than I thought it would be, it comes with a power supply that plugs into a regular wall plug which then runs power through a coax cable to the Amplifier, I can't remember if it came with one, but make sure you have extra coax cables in hand just in case. Also, it will AMP into the house or Amplify going outside the house, its up to you which way you think needs to be amplified. It is as long as a wall outlet plate, but a little wider than one. It will show a green light when there is power to it. I just have to clean up my cables and maybe re-position it where it looks nicer. I gave it four stars because it didn't come with a coaxial cable, at least from what I can remember. If someone can verify that I will put it at 5 Stars.
Good for splitting an indoor UHF antenna

My tests show the PCT powered 2:1 splitter works better than an unpowered splitter when used with an indoor UHF antenna driving two TVs.Unlike many reviews I will describe my receiving situation. I am 15-20 miles from local Boston TV transmitters, which are all to my S and SW. Luckily I live in an apartment with windows that point S, and I am also fairly high up on 3rd floor, though my line of site is blocked by high close hill. All Boston TV stations are UHF (500-700 Mhz).My starting point was a $25 Radio Shack table top antenna with a 9" UHF loop connected to one TV. With this antenna near a window and sitting on a piece of metal (important) I found I could just about (on a good day) pull in all 13 local primary channels. However, this setup was far from robust as 5 of the channels were weak, sometimes dropping out, and I wanted to split my antenna between a TV and a computer TV tuner. After reading lots of (uninformative) reviews and specs, I bought the PCT 2 port amplified splitter and Walltenna, which is a thin, window mount, 2 bay UHF antenna. When the PCT powered splitter arrived, I hooked it up splitting my 9" UHF loop to two TVs, and then for comparison I replaced the powered PCT with a simple (unpowered) 1:2 splitter. With the passive splitter inserted I lost three channels on both TVs. With the PCT powered splitter I didn't lose any channels, and the signal strength LED on my Hauppauge 950Q TV tuner showed some improvement, the weakest channels upgrading from 'amber' to 'green' signal strength. The PCT powered splitter here worked well and clearly better than the unpowered splitter.Encouraged I tried a tougher test (partly for fun): amplifying my 6" vertical spike UHF antenna located far from a window. The PCT 'failed' this test, it caused the loss of three channels, so it's no miracle worker. But I am happy with it, it is doing what I want it to do: overcoming the splitter loss and providing at least some extra signal strength. The PCT splitter looks nice, rugged, heavy and with a fully enameled case.------------------update --- Splitter as antenna? Here's something I think everyone should be aware of. Based on tests I ran it appears that the splitter itself may be acting as antenna. It this is right, it means you have two antennas the splitter and the real antenna, so the splitter placement and mounting surface (metal or wood) should be considered during testing. Here are the tests:1) With my TV connected only to a 25 ft coax but no antenna (end of cable left open) I get no channels. This is as it should be as a coaxial cable is designed NOT to pick up RF signals.2) With the PCT amplifer at the end of the same cable but no antenna connected to splitter (antenna input of splitter open), I was surprised to find I got a lot of channels on both of my TVs. This must mean either that RF is getting inside the splitter case (which is surprising), or maybe there is cross-feed between the two outputs, so one TV is in effect acting as the antenna for the other.
No signal loss, but no gains
September 23, 2012
I plugged this booster between my main feed from a large outdoor antenna, my HDTV, and an HD HomeRun's 2 input ports (I have the older version that does not split the signal internally). Before plugging it it, I made note of the signal strength on my "troublesome" over-the-air channels (two of them hover around 70% signal strength). After plugging it in, with the signal split three (3) ways, there was no appreciable difference in the signal strength (i.e., no gain or loss). And unlike other reviews I read, no new weak channels appeared with the addition of this booster, although according to AntennaWeb I'm already getting all within my vicinity. I'm giving it four (4) stars because even with the three (3) way split, no signal strength was lost, which would not be possible without some form of signal amplification. But the claims of boosting the original signal by a factor of two (2) or four (4) as claimed in their "glossy" literature is a bit dubious. Maybe I should not have expected that much signal amplification after the split?

Works OK.

I guess this works OK. I have no way of comparing. For the two short runs, the reception is good. The longer 35 ft run requires another amplifier to get decent reception. All cable runs were RG6 quad shield.
Gained what I needed
April 27, 2017
Arrived fine and appears to work well. Labeling of connections is very faint and hard to read. Instruction manual showed a different model so it was not a lot of help. Why is everything labeled in grey letters instead of white on black or black on white for contrast?!?!
Well constructed and easy to install
April 23, 2017
Can't say too much right now. I need some time to get more hours on it. Well constructed and easy to install. I do wish that the instructions had been more clear. The small print on the amp is very hard for these old eyes to read.

January 4, 2017
this unit did not work for my TV set up, i ended up using a 2 way splitter and had better performance then using the channel master preamp, i will test the unit at the office on a spectrum analyzer to see if i actually have any gain at the output port and will report back when i am done.i have upgraded to 4 stars because the product works.I have completed the test and the amplifier does work as stated and has the correct gain for the full frequency band that is indicated on the specifications, i will try on my TV setup again tonight and will report my findings.
3410 worked great but 3412 didn't
May 25, 2016
I've had a problem getting in a VHF channel, trying different kinds of preamps, distribution amps and antennas and putting antennas in different places. I presently have the best antenna I've ever had (Antenna Direct Clearstream 2) with an RCA preamp mounted outside high and still couldn't get the channel in consistently. I installed the Channel Master 3210 down the cable line about 20' and now get the channel all the time. But when I tried to use CM3212 as a booster/splitter it not only didn't bring in other weak channels I got sporadically but made them disappear completely and a better passive splitter worked much better with just the CM3210.
Works Great! but has to be powered
February 16, 2016
I installed this with Titan II Amplifier. Works great! I tested the signal with just the Titan II and then with the splitter. It amplified the signal even more than just the Titan II alone. The only drawback - why I won't give it five stars - is that it has to be plugged into to an outlet somewhere. I wired mine in my attic so I'm trying to figure out a permanent solution for the power. If they would include a coax of about 20' long it wouldn't be an issue. Overall, I'm happy with the product and glad I'm done with cable. I picked up 70 channels total. Quite a few repeats but I think I'm receiving everything available for my area short of one signal that's at least 90 miles away.

Even more value and professionalism.

Just one word, "Professional".I bought two different cables from Mediabridge and was very impressed with:1. very nice packaging.2. Nicely bundled and wrapped.3. "Dust caps" that keeps the center conductor secure and clean. I've never had these from other sellers.4. Cable clips to secure the cables down (not a whole lot, but way better than none). I've never had these from other sellers.5. Notification from the seller that: It's coming, contact information for any issues, and the usual "satisfaction inquiry". I've never had these from other sellers.I wished that they sold all the different lengths that I needed.

Hard to get a tight fit but when you get out a wrench to do it the connection seems to be just fine.

It's 50' of coax. Seems to be well constructed and each connector was protected well enough that I was able to pull it through walls without damage.

March 15, 2017
I ordered 2 cables, and 3 of the blue end pieces that make them easier to screw in popped off. Not a big deal, the cables seemed to work okay. I ordered long ones because it was going to be a while before the cable company could get to my new house to get the living room outlet working, so I ran it from the only working outlet in the far bedroom to the TV . I probably had about 10' of cable left, it wasn't stretched tightly from one end to the other. The signal was weak and kept dropping, but I don't necessarily think that was the fault of the cable.
Good quality cable, easy to use connector, but check your plug first
May 5, 2014
The cable arrived on time, and it's been performing quite well, with no real impact on quality despite the 50 foot length. The connectors have this great design (not shown in the photo) which allows you to simply slip a covering over the plug to instantly secure it, rather than twisting and twisting forever. This was great for the wall plug. However - as I discovered - if the cable box has a short plug, the relatively long covering may not fit snugly. I was able to make it fit, but it is still easily jostled loose. Nonetheless, would still highly recommend, so long as your plug is standard-length.

The package was missing a erquired screw, but the antenna worked well once all the parts were available.
August 2, 2017
So it says GE, but GE licensed their name to Jasco. The antenna is made by Jasco. The product arrived unassembled. The antenna arrived without a required screw. After being bounced around to the right customer service department, the answer was to ship the whole thing back and hope the next box has all the screws. I was not very happy with this answer. I asked for a manager and four hours later, I was given a better solution. Hopefully your package will have all the parts.

The antenna works better than the indoor antenna it is replacing. We are 30 miles from the antenna towers. There is one VHF station in town and four UHF stations. Most of the stations broadcast several channels on their frequency. The amplified indoor antenna could not pick up the VHF channel (7) or the lower UHF channel (14). The GE Attic mount antenna #33692 easily picks up these channels clearly. Assembly was not difficult and took about 15-20 minutes once I had all the parts. Mounting the antenna was easy, but you have to run coax or use your existing coax.
WARNING - this product needs total assembly
July 26, 2017
It does not say so anywhere in its description on the Amazon site, but buyers beware - THIS PRODUCT COMES COMPLETELY UN-ASSEMBLED AND MUST BE ASSEMBLED BY THE PURCHASER . . . AND IT IS NOT EASY!! The directions are not completely clear and are written in such small letters that you need a magnifying glass to read them. Plus the parts (screws, nuts etc) are so small and hard to work with - and most people probably to not have the tools necessary for such small parts. IT IS EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE OF THE SELLER TO NOT MENTION THIS. I live in a big city (Chicago) and so far it does a nice job of picking up the local channels. That the reception seems to work well is the reason I gave it 3 stars. However, it is a real B@%*$ to put together, and this product is not exactly inexpensive - for a bunch of plastic and aluminum parts that are not even assembled.
Expected more but still satisfied
December 8, 2016
I have to say it really only gave me a 5 to 10 bump on my channel levels which wasn't much in my mind compared to my previous cheapy antenna.

What it did give me was a wider reception range. I didn't have to adjust as much to get other slightly angled signal. I read in another review a 30 degree arc was what he experienced. I'll second that. The design gives consistent results over a 20 to 30 degree stretch. Worked perfectly and keeps all my major stations between 70 to 85 at about 35 to 40 miles out in my attic.

June 9, 2016
Live 20 miles from Philadelphia and wanted to try to pick up ABC. Unfortunately, this antenna was unable to bring it in clearly after several hours of adjustment. I have a 5 dollar flat antenna that performs equally to this antenna that is over 6 times the price. But it would also help if the abc station in Philly would put out a stronger signal.
Got the same results w/ my flat indoor antenna.
February 10, 2016
Easy to assemble and install. Most difficult part was getting the position to pick up the most channels and running the coaxial cable from the attic. Unfortunately, since I live in a medium size urban area, I got the same results with this antenna as I did with the smaller, flat indoor antenna I had previously. I can't get all channels in any single position, so I had to sacrifice a couple channels. At least w/ the indoor antenna I could adjust quickly the antenna.

It helps a little.

Did not seem to help much. We are in a good signal location, but 8 db is not much of an increase in signal level. We still get pixelation of television stations.
I neither hate nor like this device.
August 4, 2017
It had no effect on the issue for which I purchased it so hard to really rate it fairly.I have problems on certain channels on my two DVRs... sometimes they come in and sometime my DVR gives the message "this channel will be available shortly" and doesn't come in for hours. I was thinking this issue might be due to a weak signal so thought I'd give this amplifier a try in hopes of boosting the signal from my cable service provider. Unfortunately it made no difference whatsoever. :-(Of course when a cable service tech is dispatched and they FINALLY arrive days later they always say they see a good signal and the channels work. UGH!
Expensive Splitter
June 26, 2017
I would consider this a 'so -so' no loss splitter. In made zero difference in db gain. However in its defense, I will say that it split the signal with no loss on each of it's outputs. Well built for the money, but not a winner in performance. I ended up putting an amplifier in front of this to boost the signal.
Did not work for our situation.
June 17, 2017
We returned this item as it did not work for our situation. We were using existing cable line that was connected to our directv satellite dish. The return went great though as we got our money back very quickly.
My old amplifier with seperate splitter combo did a better job.
December 21, 2016
The amplification was less than an older amplifier I was using so I returned it. Was hoping this did a better job since I didn't have to add a splitter after the amplifier, but I got less channels and some were lower in strength. I rechecked the connections and even tested a line to the main tv first without it and then with it on. With this unit on it got more channels, but one of the main stations was lost. I regained the lost station with my old setup and the signals to the other stations were stronger too.
Does not seem to help
May 5, 2014
I purchased this amplifier in hopes of eliminating my signal drop out from Time Warner Cable to my internet modem. I previously had an amplifier, Time Warner technician supplied me, on this line for around 3 years. Was having the signal drop out issue at that time, and the technician told me I was the one of the last connections on the end of this particular cable run. Thus the reason for the occasional drop out of the signal. He installed the amplifier, and I had not had any issues for those 3 years until last month, when our internet connection stop working completely.Had Time Warner come by to check the connection, and this technician said the amplifier had burned out, and that I did not need an amplifier any more. He left and one day later the same occasional drop out of signal started occurring again.I bought this amplifier hoping it would solve my issue. After installing it, the signal does not completely drop out but occasionally becomes so weak it becomes unstable.Guess I'll be calling Time Warner... again...

Quit working after a month - updated
September 2, 2017
Quit working after a month. We did have thunderstorms in the area, but the previous unit had lasted years through many storms.Update:I was able to return the defective unit for a replacement from the manufacturer, although I had to pay for return shipping. The company was responsive and communicated with me by email. I had returned a coax cable with the unit that was not part of it. They did not include my cable with the replacement unit, but when I brought it to their attention, they replaced the cable. Unit is still working after a month of use, so hopefully it will be alright.

This product did not boost my antenna signal, and actually made it worse.
September 16, 2017
This product did not boost my antenna signal, and actually made it worse. As the directions will tell you, it may not boost an antenna signal. Kind of a garbage in, garbage out rule. It'll allegedly boost the signal and potentially any interference. The directions point out that spending money on a good antenna might be better than a signal booster. In my case, I've got a good antenna, but was looking to boost the signal for only one channel that comes in a little weak. As my ATSC tuner and the one built into my Samsung TV report, this booster did nothing for that signal. Went from 59% signal to 57% on the one channel. So it actually lessened my received signal. The build quality on the amp itself is excellent. It's a solid, apparently well built part. It just didn't do anything to help my signal problems.

September 11, 2017
At first it worked great, but after about a year it started dropping channels. Our antenna is in the attic, with the junction box in the basement, and TVs in the two floors in between, so I really thought that I needed this booster. It was really slow about losing the channels, so I didn't think too much about it. Then one of our TVs lost all channels, but the other one was fine. I unplugged the booster, and plugged both TVs in directly to the antenna. Now both TVs have great over the air reception. Sometimes it is just better to keep things simple.

Not compatible with X1 system for Comcast
March 10, 2017
I am disappointed in this . I was looking forward to this and when it finally arrived I was like a kid on Xmas morning. I have the X1 system for Comcast. Hooked it up to the main dvr and it only works on that. The other boxes freeze and give me an error message. I guess my system is not compatible
Doesn't work for my COMCAST DOCSIS3 modem
May 24, 2013
When I moved to another unit in my complex, my upload speeds dropped from DOCSIS3 to DOCSIS2. Signal was tested by Comcast and was fine and DVR/TV's ran fine. Download signal strength at -3.3Db/mv Thought that if I got an amplifier, it would help. When I plugged in my modem to the amplifier, it killed most of the download channels. (I suspect this is due to a latency issue between the modem and Comcast's switch.) So I tried putting the modem before the amplifier and using the amplifier to handle the load of my other devices. Didn't help. May have even made it worse for the digital DVR which probably requires direct connection for latency purposes as well.Bottom line: Newer digital cable HD DVRs and DOCSIS3 modems (mine is an Arris 820) may mean that you want a raw connection to the line as much as possible. My signal doesn't seem that bad actually. Maybe I just need to call Comcast and ask them to reset my line or switch port to fix the upload link (which isn't bad, it's at high speed but not ultra high speed.)It's a great unit for a certain application and other than latency issues would be great for someone such as my friend whose using an antenna to get over-the-air HDTV. You could drop this onto the roof and use the optional adapter to send power to it via the coax and get a strong signal for your home.

The was a great product until it stopped working. I have had this product a couple months short of a year. The product was great and did what I needed it to, boosted my week cable signal, eliminated disconnects from my cable modem and cleared up screen quality on the hd cable. Now it has decided it doesn't want to work. I tried the unit at various locations, tried unplugging everything for a while and still it does did not work. I bought a Motorola Signal Booster 4-Port BDA-S4 Cable Modem TV HDTV Amplifierby Motorola in stead and whala no more disconnects or screen glitch. It says that it has a 5 year warranty but I not sure even who to contract. I'll report back in a year to tell if the Motorola will have outlasted this unit.

November 25, 2016
So disappointed. Thought we needed just a little boost to get about 10 more channels that stay moderately scrambled so that you can't watch them. Adding this to our attic antenna actually took away 10 more additional channels and we barely got the local ones to come in. It did have a return slip from a different customer in the box, so maybe it just didn't work period. My husband is a retired cable guy, so I wouldn't think he didn't know what he was doing.
Worked fine.......until it died after 5 months.
August 15, 2016
Works great when it works. Disappointed in how long it lasted before it died. Only worked for about 5 months and then quit. Of course it only has a 90 day warranty. They must not have much faith in there product. I also had purchased an 8-port Channel Master amplifier and it too quit after about 6 months. I'm now on my 3rd 8-port one. If it dies soon also I'll never buy one of this brand again.
A big disappointment!
June 11, 2016
After I finished hooking up and plugging the Channel Master CM3418 8 port distribution amplifier I felt a big disappointment. I could only see snow and pixelling on the screen of my TV. Then I thought of the Terk 15 15 dB amp that I had saved for a rainy day. After hooking up the two, presto! The images were so good I could not believe it. Sorry. I can only rate this product 2 stars. It failed, alone, to satisfy my expectations. I bought it to replace a Radio Shack 4 port distributor amplifier just because I needed additional ports. I'm saving it too for a rainy day in case the Channel Master fails.

good cable; worthless connectors
December 3, 2015
I bought this to replace a cable I was using for my router and modem (home wi-fi). However I encountered weekly, if not more often, dropped internet connections. After several visits from Time Warner techs trying to figure out the intermittent problems they determined the connectors were the source of resistance such that my upload (return signal) was so poor that the signal would not lock on. I had to constantly reset my connection; sometimes 2 or 3 times in a day. Once TWC replaced the connectors, I have not since had a single problem. The tech was impressed with the cable itself; he asked if I had gotten it from them. But what good is it if it has such resistance in the connectors that you get dropped connections?? It certainly isn't their responsibility to fix the crummy hardware which customers buy through Amazon.

Ok - love Mediabridge and their products and pricing. Great value overall! This should be - and for the most part is - a 5 star product. However, when I trimmed the cable and added a new end connector it seemed as if the cable is .5mm wider then any there coax I have worked with in the past. It took a great deal of effort and numerous attempts to get the new connector on this cable after cutting this cable. So, if you are intending to trim this wire be forewarned. I did eventually work but was very tight and took a few tries.P.S. - It's funny that almost every 3 star rating says "'haven't used" or "didn't need"

Cable Received Not as Described
January 7, 2012
I bought this Mediabridge 50 ft coaxial cable in November 2011 on the basis of good reviews and that it was a dual-shielded cable with compression/"easy grip" connectors. What I got was a cable with no compression connectors and no easy grip connectors. I can't even tell if it's dual-shielded since there's no printing on the cable saying so. The connectors look like a typical f-type connector you get on a standard cable found at your local electronics store. The picture of the cable at the time (had gray easy grip/compression connectors) on Amazon was different than the one that's currently shown with red easy grip connectors. But if you checked the photo on the Mediabridge company website in November, the cable photo there didn't show compression or easy grip connectors and the product description didn't mention said connectors either. Unfortunately, I checked Mediabridge's website after I received the cable. If I had known the actual Mediabridge cable I'd get wasn't going to be what was pictured/described on Amazon, I wouldn't have bought it. I could've bought a similar GE cable for 50% less. So am I satisfied with the cable? I can't say that I am. I can't return it to Amazon since it's past 30 days. I should mention I haven't used the cable yet. Haven't even opened the bag, but it could be the cable performs great despite the connectors being just standard F-Type connectors and then maybe not. My beef is what I got was not what was described and I was expecting compression connectors at the least. Since this is a product "sold by Mediabridge" and "fulfilled by Amazon," I think Mediabridge bears the responsibility of describing the product correctly or having an up-to-date photo on Amazon. If you want to buy this cable, buyer beware. Be sure to check Mediabridge's website for the current description/photo of the cable and decide if that's what you want before you order, because it may not match what you see on Amazon.UPDATE (Jan. 19, 2012) - Finally used this Mediabridge 50 ft. cable. The cable sent to me definitely DOES NOT have compression connectors, and the cable isn't any more pliable to handle. As for picture quality, it's improved, but it's replacing a cable that's been hanging outside for over 20 years. Most likely any new cable from any manufacturer would offer better video quality. I would not recommend this cable for outdoor use if you're planning to install outside to a rooftop antenna. The plain vanilla f-type connectors on this Mediabridge cable offer little protection to guard against the weather other than what looks like a cheap piece of black tape with the Mediabridge name printed on it. I had to construct a boot to protect the connectors for outside use. Not happy about that. That's an added cost to me. I would not buy this Mediabridge cable again. I can now find a *name brand* RG6 w/24k gold-plated compression connectors, quad-shield, weather proof pliable cable, with a ground wire from my local electronics store for a comparable price. Bottom line: buy name brand if you can or go to your local hardware store that sells RG6 cable for cents/ft.

Not if you live in central Indiana!
June 15, 2017
Others are making great claims, so I tried this product. I live in central IN, 12 miles from most of the broadcast towers, 40 miles from the farthest station. Got in 3 stations. Put amplifier on and got in 10 stations. Did all of the steps prescribed. No improvement.

Hooked up another antenna and got in 36 stations. Returned this one.
Got a Yagi and it does great.

Bought this because of all the positive reviews, but it failed to get signal from a VHF tower 30.4 miles from my house. Got a Yagi and it does great.

I have no idea how these people are getting great reception from such long distances. The channels I want to watch are 22, 23, 25, 25, and 27 miles away with no hills/mountains between my home and the broadcasters. 1 of them is southeast, the other 4 are east. I can't position the antenna in any way to receive all 5, so I pointed it where I get the best reception of the remaining 4. I get pretty good signal 90% of the time, but frequently during prime time the reception gets bad enough to make shows unwatchable. Unfortunately most of the time isn't good enough.

works good for 1 tv but I put in a splitter and now both tv brake up and sound goes in and out. had a better antenna at our other house about 2 miles away before we moved and it was great. get what you pay for, spend a little more and you wont be sorry.

The range is much more limited than described. I picked up one fuzzy channel. I'm less than 50 miles from a large city with several stations. Missed the window to return it.

Sorry, but it did not amplify our internet or TV signal at all. I had to return it.
Was hoping this would help with that 1 subbon station, nope.

With this I managed to get even less channels, what an investment! I only lost 2 but didn't gain the one I was looking for.
Disappointed
March 9, 2017
Got this to see if I could boost my signal and pick up a couple channels better than the older booster I had. New one picks up zero channels when rescan. Red light is on, triple checked connections, no channels. Put the old one back on, picked up same old channels as before.
Junk

Garbage.....better off with regular unpowered splitter. Weak signal with regular splitter....spotty/no signal with this thing. Worse than anything....no tech support available on the phone....they want to email ack and forth

Bought two of these amplifiers and they provided a terrible screen. I had a professional installed come in to install an antenna and he agreed there was nothing wrong with my set up. Unfortunately, by the time I figured this all out it was beyond the 30 day return policy. I also purchased their 8 way amplifier and performed just as pitifully.
Did not improve reception
March 9, 2015
Installed as the cable enters my house, so the incoming signal is as good as possible. The reception at the TV was no better than without. Waste of money.

This single boaster simply did not work; the signal was much weaker with it in line than without it. Although the hookup is simple there are no instructions and the marking are confusing. I am assuming that there was a manufacturing defect present. Fortunately I found an American made boaster about 30 yrs old that worked perfectly. Since the package material was destroyed on opening, I throw the unit away; too much trouble to send it back.
Not even a good paperweight

I could run the antenna line to one individual TV and the picture and signal was great at each of the 3 TVs tested. Installed a 3 way splitter inline to run all 3 lines at the same time. The pictures on some of the TVs lost picture quality at times and difficult to watch. Installed the channel master inline to run all 3 lines at the same time and got no picture at all. Very disappointed!!
Not as good as other products
September 23, 2017
I bought this amplifier in the hopes that it would be an improvement over an old cheap amplifier I currently have. Sadly, I was disappointed. The Channel Master did not bring in more channels, it actually resulted in fewer channels being available.
Poor quality, stopped working.

The product (CM-3410) worked great for about 6 months and then stopped working. The 90 day warranty is a joke. Buy another manufacturer's product!!
Waste of money

Don't waste your money. Very little improvement on reception.
Died after 90 day Warranty
January 3, 2017
Died after 90 day wrranty was up. Junk. Called manufacturer and they said 90 days if standard warranty for these products. That's a lie. Other products on Amazon have longer warranties. Would not replace. Don't buy.

Looks fancy, but the ends did not stay secured. Surprised me. Would not buy again and not using it now.
DO NOT BUY
February 11, 2017
Save your money, the ends pop off when you screw them down, they don't "BREAK" but the end pops off and your stuck with nothing. The old saying you get what you pay for fits right here. Spend a lil' more and get something that works....
NOT as described
January 19, 2017
The part number on the box agreed but the label says it is Coaxial Digital Audio Cable - NOT RG6 cable for cable internet & video. I might not have discovered this, but I ran it through the wall, cut to length and tried to attach compression RG6 connector on the cut end. It does not appear to have tri-shield and the cable is much thinner than the openings in the RG6 connectors I was trying to install with a compression tool.

Will not repurchase

This cable does not work at all. When screwed into the outlet and into TV no signal will transmit. When changing to old cable it works fine.
