Five Star Reviews: | 70% I had to go across an 3 inch gap and up a ramp in high mode and it crawled along just great. Loved it July 27, 2016 Had a chance to test it with my weight.I had to go across an 3 inch gap and up a ramp in high mode and it crawled along just great.Loved it Love my scooter July 27, 2016 Love my scooter! Lung problems was preventing nice long walks with my little fur girl. She now gets the exercise needed and I get to enjoy the ride.Side note: Not quite as easily portable as thought . Would not bother breaking it down for a short trip somewhere. For the day or longer would be worth it... We were able to refer his 99 year old friend and she and her family are just as happy. They are quite the sight as they travel . October 16, 2015 We purchased the MiniRider for my father-in-law, who's 95. It has given him a renewed sense of confidence and independence. The whole family is thrilled. We were able to refer his 99 year old friend and she and her family are just as happy. They are quite the sight as they travel down the hallway together. Thank you very much. Just the right size May 9, 2015 I'm 5'6 and its a perfect size scooter to drive around. Glad i purchased it | 71% Great! September 24, 2017 Arrived yesterday 2 days ahead of schedule, just in time to go to the ballgame! It's great, sturdy and holds a lot. But it doesn't stick out so far that I bump things when I back up. Perfect. After figuring out how to efficiently mount the basket without ... June 24, 2017 After figuring out how to efficiently mount the basket without hurting the fingers of the scooter owner/driver suffering from MS (it is possible, though it took a few tries), the Large Rear Basket for scooter doubled the available space for shopping. Nice addition to scooter. May 13, 2017 Ordered for elderly mother with limited mobility. She received it quickly and was able to attach to her scooter by herself. Perfect size and nicely built. Holds her groceries, etc. Perfect August 30, 2016 This basket is wonderful. It is so big and nice. Yesterday I went to a friend's and I brought a queen size heavy quilt with me in the basket. These things are important when you have a mobility scooter. Exactly As Advertised February 16, 2014 I wanted a way to attach fishing rod holders to my scooter. This basket is perfect. I have 3 rod holders fixed to the back of the basket and can ride to the lake with no problems. The wire is sturdy. Hardware is a perfect fit. The basket holds anything you can put in it like tackle boxes to tomatoes from the garden. It is a good buy. |
Four Star Reviews: | 15% Just the minimum scooter April 28, 2017 This scooter has 1/2 the padding in the seat as the Go Go and rides much rougher. Like the tires are too hard or something. However, I do like that it has a bit more ground clearance than the Go Go and handles going up hill better than the Go Go. Overall, much cheaper built than the Pride Go Go Elite Traveler. Nice scooter September 28, 2016 Perfect for my needs. Turns and drives easily with a little bit of a stiff ride but good for a mini.. Long lasting charge of the battery. Easy assembly (no thanks to directions!) excited to get my scoot on. An Excellent Product June 17, 2015 The MiniRider I purchased for my daughter is exactly as advertised. It's sturdy, easy to use, and pretty fast (not dangerously so). It looks pretty sporty for a mobility scooter. My daughter was able to assemble it easily. Once assembled, it's easy to break down into three components - the seat, the chassis, and the battery. The heavy chassis comes with a handle in the front, making it easy to move by lifting it up and rolling it on the back wheels. The instructions state not to lift it by the plastic body; however, there is no handle in the back, so lifting it up to put it in a vehicle isn't easy. My daughter flew with it and had no problems with TSA or the airline. The product could be improved if the seat back could be adjusted to permit leaning back a little more. Overall, an excellent product. | 16% had to make adjustment but once did it is great!! November 9, 2016 Did not have slide in bar to attach to scooter....had to make adjustment but once did it is great!! Very satisfied with this basket September 22, 2015 This is a nice, large basket and it makes bringing groceries home from the store much easier. Previously, I had to hang bags from the seat back, armrests, and tiller handles on my mobility scooter. I still hang two canvas bags from the seat back, but I can fit 5-6 plastic bags in the basket, as long as I make sure non-crushable things are in the bottom bags.I did have a slight problem getting the bolts to screw into the front mounting bracket, but that was solved with a Phillips bit in my cordless drill. I also had to shorten the square tubing that goes into the receiver on the back of my scooter, because the scooter's receiver is only about 4" deep. I just cut the tubing, and drilled new holes for the safety pins.Overall, this is a good, sturdy basket. You do have to remember that it's back there, though, so you don't bang into things when turning or backing up. Good basket, bad bolts April 18, 2014 It appeared that the bolts included were substitutes, and they didn't fit, so I had to improvise the assembly. What I did will work fine. But there was included an extra mounting plate. Soneone was confused, it seems. But no matter. It's cool.I recently espied the existence of Shwin folding baskets for bicycles. I plan to add those onto the sides of this basket. Then I could really haul stuff! Whoo! Always wanted a pickup truck (not really). Come's in real handy... March 28, 2014 Works out well, just need to keep in mind when parking and turning seat to get out ! so far no problems ! Functions Admirably. November 10, 2013 Just as it was described. Well made. Works magnificently. I can haul my 30 pack of Coors, no problem. There were some problems, this company is importing from China, and it required the shipment of 3 baskets, before I got one that had been drilled properly, however Challenger Mobility took care of the problems magnificently at no cost to me other than the time it took, which was surprisingly little. |
Three Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 7% DECEPTIVE ... July 14, 2016 UNBELIEVABLE.Look at ad / photo which shows several bolts / cauter keys to secure basket to power chair. They do NOT come with basket in spite of the fact they are included in the photo description ...Deceptive I would say ... Mediocre June 19, 2016 It has a handle which is useless. It has four identical screws, two fit perfectly, nobody could get the other two to fit the center holes. Other than that, it is okay. Three Stars May 18, 2015 a bit smaller than original but problem was in driving screws into brace holding the basket Won't last forever May 3, 2015 Nice basket but made kind of cheaply. It is functional now, but I don't believe it will last a long tome. |
Two Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 3% Two Stars April 6, 2017 missing parts no bolts and bracket to attached to the scooter. emailed spinlife.com of problem.no reply so far. Two Stars March 31, 2017 I didn't get the two bolts to secure the lg. Basket to my pride scooter.please ship. not very sturdy November 6, 2016 flimsy basket for the price. my husband had to back up to let someone pass him and the basket bent when he hit a soft wall. OK but not worth the price Two Stars June 30, 2015 I cannot pu it in my es2 mobility scooter useless..why they did not include something to attach this thing . |
One Star Reviews: | 15% DO NOT BUY if you are disabled!!! May 23, 2017 I am so frustrated with this purchase. When I received this item we removed it from the box, read all the instructions especially those pertaining to the assembly and disassembly as I would be traveling with this scooter. To take it apart it took two people to pull out the pin that holds the front and back together (the way to disassemble) it was very difficult. We put it back together, charged it and then took it for my first ride. It worked great! I brought it home and plugged it in for a recharge. That weekend we took off for one of the Disney resorts/parks for the day. It worked fine for almost 8 hours, but then it suddenly would not accelerate more than the turtle speed even though it was set for rabbit speed. I turned off the scooter and turned it back on, still turtle speed. I turned it off again, check to make sure that the gear knob was engaged, it was so I turned it on again; still turtle speed. I had to make it to the car so I just had to continue at the 'turtle speed' but a couple of moments later it kicked into Rabbit Speed again all by itself. I packed it back into the car. This was on a Saturday so I waited until Monday and called the manufacturer to report the issue. I was told that the motor probably just over-heated but if it happened again, take note of the flashing light patterns (that would tell them the issue). I took it for a ride around my neighborhood that night. Only about 5 minutes into the ride it starting doing the 'turtle' thing again and flashing red lights. I took note of the pattern (first it was 2 flashes followed by 3 flashes, then it was 1 flash followed by 3 flashes). I called the next morning to report this issue as I had been instructed. The technician at that point said he would have to check on the pattern and get back to me. That afternoon I did not get a callback, instead, I got an email from a person saying that I must have assembled it incorrectly and wanted me to watch a video on assembling their scooter. I watched the video and it was exactly how we had assembled the scooter. I called them back and told them we were doing just what the video had shown. I was then instructed to take pictures and a video of what I was doing. I took pictures of both sets of connectors, then a short video showing us assembling the scooter after taking it apart. Just the one of us was not able to insert the pin alone so I had to put the camera down to help put the pin in. I was then told that we must have damaged it when we put it together and they offered to repair it for only $65. I told them since the scooter was only 10 days old, I would rather return it as I felt that I could no longer rely on this scooter to get me to and from any destination. This scooter was OBVIOUSLY a 'Lemon' but the manufacturer refuses to admit that. They expected me to then pay $120 to send the scooter back to them. I am still waiting for Amazon on an A-Z Open Claim, I was advised not to send the scooter back yet. I will Update this post as I find out more I bought a "lemon" July 13, 2016 I purchased it 6 months ago ,but suffered a hip fracture in Feb. so did not use the scooter til late April. I began having trouble with it and worked with the manufacturer shortly after about six trips. First it was a battery problem which was easily fixed, but it re-occurred several times. Then more problems. I would be two blocks from home and it would stop. I was unable to push it home myself which was very frustrating. Working with the manufacturer again was fruitless. This unit is a "Lemon" and the seller refuses to do anything about it. I am disgusted and frustrated. The product is an EVMiniRider 4 Wheel Travel Ev Rider Greatly Disappointed December 29, 2015 I can whisper louder than the horn. It only turns to the left ten degrees, and only two degrees to the right. I have to stand up and pick up the front end to maneuver around corners. I fully charged the battery and it barely made it over three miles. The instructions need to be rewritten with better photos, | 3% The basket was not able to be installed. I ... May 7, 2015 The basket was not able to be installed. I took my Pride scooter and basket to CVI Medical in dallas and they were not able to install the basket due to the holes not being correct. I want to return the basket but I don't think I should have to pay shipping costs.can Amazon take care of that. included pin does not fit January 13, 2015 My experience is similar to another customer who wrote a review of this basket. However, in my case, I could not travel to Lowe's to get a replacement pin. Because I didn't have the strength to hammer the pin in myself, I ended up paying another person to hammer the included pin onto the scooter. The basket is now permanently attached, and since I cannot remove the basket I am having difficulty using the scooter inside the house due to the basket hitting the walls when the scooter turns at corners Disappointed about my order from "Top Mobility" on two levels November 25, 2014 Disappointed about my order from "Top Mobility" on two levels. I ordered a basket for "Pride Mobility Scooter" and the first thing as I opened the package, the end that goes into the receiver was all rusty. I cleaned it up and spray painted the end to avoid more rust and went to put it on her scooter (40 min drive from my house) and the pin supplied with it Does Not Fit the Pride Scooter (too large a diameter to even force into the pin hole on the scooter). I had to drive to Lowes and purchase a $4 pin to hold it in place. |
