Got it for my teenagers to detach from smart phone while in their bedroom
September 27, 2017
Straightforward, old-school clock radio. Got it for my teenagers to detach from smart phone while in their bedroom. Listen to the radio and stop the custom order everything life, including music. Stepping off soap box now.....
It is perfect for me
July 29, 2017
This alarm clock radio replaced one I've had for over 25 years. It is perfect for me .dual alarm, doesn't need to be reset every day and especialy the dimmer that has 3 settings that can be adjusted by pushing one button. If it lasts 25 years that would be awesome. I don't think you can go wrong buying it.
Worth the price
April 23, 2016
Arrived on time. Simple clock radio with a large enough face to see the time from across the room. Alarms come in several settings. I like the increasing loudness that comes with the bell alarm so I can shut it off before the rest of the family hears my alarm. I do not use it for a radio. Reception is weak though. AM radio comes in clear and certain local FM stations. I liked this alarm enough that I ordered a second one for my teenage daughter who now gets up on her own without me dragging her out of bed. This alarm clock radio was priced appropriately, shipped quickly and functions well in my home so I would recommend it to others.
It's okay, butnbe aware of the brightness If you don't sleep good...
April 1, 2016
This alarm clock Is great, but It has a brightness setting and even If the brightness Is turned all the way down It still shines In your eyes while your sleeping because the display Is so bright you can't sleep very well, I bought this for my grandparents to replace their old alarm clock because their old alarm clock still works but the display turns to Japanese numbers and my grandparents didn't like It so I saved It for the display I do In December for 2 weeks... I would choose a different alarm clock what Is not so bright so you can sleep all night... Don't buy It If you don't sleep very good...
Perfect for my purposes!
June 8, 2015
It's true that the settings are not very intuitive, but once I figured out how the clock worked, I loved it! (I do keep the instructions handy, though, for things I don't do every day). I like the small footprint, red display with adjustable brightness, convenient snooze button, dual alarms, and ease of setting and turning off the alarms (once I figured out how they worked). I especially love that the alarms start out faint and gradually increase in volume. The radio is very easy to tune, with excellent reception, and the sound quality is not bad (better than my last alarm clock, though not the best I've ever heard). Altogether the most satisfactory alarm clock I have ever owned.
Excellent little radio alarm clock . . . once you read the online instruction manual
March 24, 2014
Having read reviews for this radio alarm clock ranging from one to five stars, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect once I plugged it in. My biggest concern was that the radio reception would be inadequate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the digital tuner is excellent. Stations that were crackly and faint on my old analog clock radio are now coming in loud and clear. The three dimmer levels are a nice touch as well.I agree with other reviewers who cite the poor instructions that come with the alarm clock--in fact, there are two vital functions that you will be unable to figure out if you rely solely on the included "quick start guide:" turning off the alarm and setting the radio presets. However, these (and other) functions are fully explained in the expanded manual, available as a PDF on the Electrohome website. Just look for the EAAC200 manual on their support page. Once you spend a little time figuring out the (admittedly quirky) button combinations, you will realize that a lot has been packed into this great little clock radio.

This clock has a nice soft green light up
September 20, 2017
Exactly what I needed! Basic obvious functions. Im getting old, not into having my brain around new technology. So, did not even have to read instructions. This clock has a nice soft green light up. One can see it easily in day or night. It is a plug in. . thank goodness, and a 9-volt compartment under it, so that if the power goes off, it will still keep time. I dearly recommend this, and the snooze button is nice!!!
yep

just what I wanted. the numbers stay illuminated all the time and they are big enough to read but not so bright that they keep you awake. it's easy to set the time and it plugs into the wall. done and done!
BUY IT!! IT WORKS!
March 24, 2017
Exactly what I was looking for.. Easy, and correct. No problem setting the time, or alarm! I had one with all the bells and whistles before, and when the time changed, it didn't! So happy with this one.
I want one for each room of the house.
June 7, 2016
I should have bought two of these versus only 1 and a Sony ICFC1 Alarm Clock Radio. Penny for Penny a fantastic purchase. I use it in my family room next to a large screen TV on the mantle and it is exceptional both day and night. I am having trouble referring to it as there are 3 other clocks in the room, but none directly in front of me. Also, I have not tried the alarm capability as I have no need for that in the family room. But, it does have about 3 inch numbers and you look at it immediately upon entering the room. It shouts SONY all over it. Must have been made in their home factory and not farmed out to their China production facility as the ICFC1 I purchased at the same time.
Inexpensive. Simple. Easy-peasy.

I wanted a clock that I can see from across my smallish studio apartment. This works fine and has a din/bright setting as well. For $10, Can't be beaten.I've uploaded some photos as well.
What an alarm clock should be.
September 16, 2012
I'm pretty picky about my alarm clocks for several reasons: brightness, number size, and sound. I'm terribly nearsighted and the numbers were big and bright enough to be visible at 15 feet. I'm also sensitive to light in a dark bedroom and this clock doesn't create that nimbus of light around it that so many of my previous clocks have. Finally, it is loud enough to get me up at 3:30 AM but doesn't make the neighbor's dog howl (yes, this is actually a problem). Cheap, functional, compact, and one of the best I've ever owned.

Good little radio

Finally - a small bedside radio that the stations come in on! I don't like to have to wait for a computer to warm up for streaming, so I want to just hit a button (or have it turn on automatically).

Nice Compact Little Clock Radio
March 18, 2016
Not sure why others found this so complicated to set. You do have to actually sit down with the clock and read the instructions and follow them step-by-step to get it set up. I didn't find it that complicated. The instructions could be written a little better. I was looking for a clock radio small enough so my cats won't step on it and reset it all the time. So far so good. It's a nice compact little clock radio with a nice large display. The one negative thing I would say is that the display is a little brighter than the one I was used to even on its dimmest setting. So for those who like their room totally dark I wouldn't recommend it you will be annoyed. But assuming you are looking for a big display guessing your eyesight isn't so great and therefore also need a brighter display to see it at night without the glasses. I also love that the antenna is separate from the cord and therefore has much better reception. Also has a decent speaker and presets about 20 stations. So for those of us who want to wake up to the radio you can just select one of the preset stations you like. I haven't used the buzzer so have no idea how loud it is or isn't.
It's the perfect size to fit on her desk
January 4, 2016
I purchased this for a friend who wanted something small for her office. It's the perfect size to fit on her desk. She says that it is clear and works great for what she needs. I would recommend it.
Best radio alarm clock ever
December 20, 2015
Best radio alarm clock ever! I bought this clock for my 10 year old daughter who wanted to wake up to music. It works great. You can set the stations with digital buttons. I am buying another one for myself because my few year old clock has a dial for the radio and I never could get stations to come in. The great part about waking to music is not only is it a more relaxed way to wake up but you can set the volume so the whole house does not wake up ( which was happening with my old alarm with the loud beep ) . Slim design is also great -- takes up little room on the night table and it has easy to read numbers without our glasses on. Highly recommend.

Tricky to figure out how to set without using the instructions, but the instructions were fine.I particularly like the radio alarm being a) digital so you can get a good signal and it won't move if you accidentally touch the wheel/dial, and b) it comes on softly and then the volume increases to the volume you set. A great feature!
Good Radio Alarm for lighter sleepers
May 5, 2016
I really love the digital light and the fact that this can it can get brighter or dimmer upon your chosen setting. The radio has different stations and tunes in really good as well. The alarm takes a little bit of getting used to with the settings, but once you figure it out it is easy to do. The only problem I am having is that it is a little too quiet for me and if you have a fan or anything else running, you will not be able to hear it. If you wake up to sounds fairly easy it is a great product for you. I woke up and could barely hear it this morning over my fan and it failed to wake me up. It does have a radio and a beeper, you must make sure you turn it up all the way. The beeper does get louder and that may help. Most alarms they are making these days I have found to not be very loud, but if you are a lighter sleeper and want a clock radio then this would be the product for you. I got this product for free or at a deep discount for my honest unbiased opinion.
Compact and versatile, dual alarm clock/radio is perfect for small places.
November 13, 2015
I wanted a small-footprint clock/radio for my bedside stand. This fits the bill exactly. I love the 3-stage brightness dimming of the green LED time display. It took a bit of reading the manual to figure out how to set the time, alarm and radio station, but I did. The only thing that surprised me was the thin wire antenna that had to be extended from the unit. Silly me, it had not occurred to me that it would be necessary. It is unobtrusive, but not very long. I stretched it to the wall and anchored it with a removable sticky strip. Ta-da! I have only been using it a week or so, but so far I am happy.
Not exactly a no-brainer...
June 30, 2014
I like this little clock very much, but it was rather frustrating at first - hence the four stars instead of five. It is not very intuitive and the instructions are not very helpful; however, after a little practice I rather like it's minimalistic quality. Everything other than the learning curve would have gotten this product five stars, such as: dimmer - lowest is hard to see in daylight but perfect for nighttime and the medium is fine for daylight and not too bright while sleeping, I love two alarms, I love having a beep alarm as well as a music option, it's tiny - fits in my hand (I'm average/petite), it's light, gets good reception - I left the antenna wrapped up and it still works fine, it can be very loud for it's small size. I think that's about it. All is good except for learning how it works!

I would give this clock 5 stars because we LOVE it so much
June 28, 2017
I would give this clock 5 stars because we LOVE it so much, but the battery terminals are misshapen and won't take a battery. The number display is very large and bright red glowing. My daughter can hardly see without her glasses, so she has it about 2 feet from her bed and can tell the time in the night and most importantly in the morning when it is time to get up for school.
Works fine mostly
May 15, 2017
Overall it works fine for the price, but I noticed that once in a while it changes time on its own with one hour. The first time I actually thought that maybe I changed the time accidentally and didn't remember about it, but then it happened again and again. Doesn't happen too often (has happened 4-5 times since I bought it), but the first time it happened it scared me a lot because I thought I was late for work.
Easy to set
May 14, 2017
This is your standard alarm clock with no frills or extra gadgets. Easy to set, easy to turn the alarm off or on and a convenient snooze button right on top. You set it, it goes off, you snooze it, it goes off, until you finally succumb to having to get out of bed and start your day. No surprises, which is exactly needed in an alarm clock.
This clock does the trick!
April 17, 2017
This clock does the trick! We needed a clock that is dim enough that it doesn't keep us up (my husband and I are both sensitive to any lights when we are trying to fall asleep) and this does the job! It is definitely like what others have explained, in that the lines of the numbers are not very lit consistently but it hasn't been a problem telling what numbers are showing. We might have to strain to see it depending on how tired we are but it's not bad at all! The price is right and it is very simple to use. Perfect for what we need!
Decent, basic alarm clock with one slight, potential problem.
May 22, 2016
Good, basic alarm clock. Bright display. The only potential problem I see is with the way the selector switch for setting the time and alarm is set up. It is alarm set all the way down, lock in the middle, and time set all the way up. Setting the alarm, then only going one notch up to the lock position could be annoying as one could push it too far and go all the way into the time set spot. The better positioning of the switch would be time set on the bottom (least used), alarm set in the middle (often used), and lock all the way up. That way, whether setting the alarm, or even the time, you just have to move the switch all the way up for lock. There's no trying to make sure the switch is in the middle position and it's not pushed a little too far. If it were pushed a little too far (into the time set position (all the way up)), one would never know it, as there would be nothing to indicate so. It's just a bad design with the switch layout.Other than the aforementioned potential problem, it's a pretty decent clock for a pretty decent price.
Average alarm clock for the price
November 24, 2012
There's really not much to tell about this clock...it's not amazing, it's not crappy...it's about as basic as you can get. I don't use the glowing snooze feature, but I can see how that would be a nice night light for kids or for guests who aren't familiar with your home. The clock is extremely basic...you can set the time, set the alarm, and that's about it. The green letters are very bright, so I end up turning the clock away from me when I'm trying to sleep. The alarm is good and loud...scares the bejeezus out of me most times when it goes off. Overall, it does it's job without being complicated.

Works great, instructions need editing
August 15, 2017
Works great, the instructions are fairly easy to follow, but they could use an editor who is fluent in English (typos, missing words, etc.). Other than that, the volume range is fantastic compared to other alarms I've had and the dual alarms are a must have.
Ok if you can figure out the controls
June 5, 2017
Keeps good time, radio stays tuned to desired channel--but it's weirdly hard to turn off. Bought 2 and had to return one because it frustrated my husband to the point where he just wanted to get rid of it.
DreamSky
May 6, 2017
It is working pretty good as of Saturday - 5-06-2017. It is as describe by seller. It would be nice if it were a little bigger.
I would buy it again, if I needed two!
January 5, 2017
I'm happy. Wanted an AM alarm clock with a snooze feature, dimmable display, ease of use: control buttons marked well and almost intuitive- directions easy to process...and I think this pretty much covered the bases. Sound quality is worth the price...(Hey, you're not looking for a sound system here! It's an alarm clock radio, and fairly priced.) This puppy takes up very little space, which is good; one improvement might be to weight it a bit more for stability on a bed-stand.)
It's a good little radio alarm clock
November 17, 2016
It's a good little radio alarm clock. Most alarm clocks are so simple you really dont have to look at the instructions. This one you do have look at the instructions because its a little bit confusing setting the stations. After setting the stations and/or the alarm a couple of times you will get the hang of it. After all it's just a radio alarm clock not rocket science. The owner emailed me to ensure I liked their product. I appreciate that type of customer service.
I especially like the size
September 11, 2016
I order two clocks, one for my self, the other for my wife. Both of us are retiring our old clocks that have fallen of our night stands once to many time. I especially like the size, they are not going to easily fall of the night stand. The deliver was on the appointed date, and the items were well packed, without any worry of damage. The only down side of the clocks is moving from plan old single alarm clock is they are a little more complex to operate. I would recomed them, but be prepared to read the direction on how to set alarms/

Very Small Alarm Clock With Some Advanced Technical Steps to Achieve Simple Tasks
March 31, 2016
This alarm clock is very small/compact compared to most. The snooze button is probably 1/4 the size of a typical alarm clock. Based on reviews I read, I was very attentive to the directions on how to set the alarm and how to turn off the alarm. It is high-tech,more like an early version of a phone app, and not recommended for non-millenials. The key is to decipher that the alarm is turned off by pushing the fourth button from the left on top of the clock. It has a small on/off symbol and is only mentioned when it tells how to disable the snooze function. You don't have to push the button and hold it down for two seconds every time you want to turn it off, which is how you set it. It is much more complex than flipping a switch.Unless you are technically savvy, have pretty good eyes, and read directions thoroughly, I would not recommend this clock.
Good cheap alarm clock
March 4, 2016
I've had it for almost 2 years now... still works fine. To be honest, I only use it as a clock, don't use the radio nor the alarm function. Something weird that I've noticed: when I set the time, after one day, when my phone shows 7:30, the clock shows 7:35... Weird but well, it's only 5 min and it only means I have an extra 5 min to get ready in the morning... For $15, it does the trick
Here is your instruction set...
February 1, 2015
The clock radio I had been using for over two decades finally died (a drink was spilled on top of it). I needed to find a replacement fast, preferably without spending an arm and a leg. This is the model I selected; and although I think there is a lot of room for improvement, I am happy with it overall. What I Like:-----------It's electric. Plug it in and don't worry about ever changing batteries. It has a battery backup (2 AA batteries req'd, not included). In the event power is lost, the batteries allow the unit to retain all its settings and continue functioning. It has two separate alarms, allowing me to keep my 'primary' always set at the same time while using a 'secondary' as required. Each alarm may be independently enabled/disabled, and the type of alarm sound (beeper or radio) may be individually set on each. [Note the product description says "buzzer", but it's really a beeper.]The display is easily readable, even with my less-than-youthful eyes. The unit's footprint is about 1/3 that of my old clock radio. Very compact. Of course, that means the speaker is smaller too (worse sound quality), but big deal. It's an alarm clock, not a home entertainment system. It has the ability to adjust the display brightness (although limited in its options).Digital radio tuner.WHAT I DON'T LIKE:-----------------NO INSTRUCTION MANUAL!!!!! What you get in the box is a clock radio and a "Quick-Start Guide", which does not cover everything you need to know about the unit. For example, the Quick-Start Guide tells you how to set your alarm when you first take it out of the box, but it does _NOT_ tell you how to stop the alarm once it goes off, or how to disable it after it is set. The Quick-Start Guide refers you to a manual on the company website ("for more product information, go to <website> and refer to the user manual"). So off to the website I go; but the joke's on me... the "manual" on the website is the same stupid Quick-Start Guide that came in the box! A lot of good that does.No option for 24-hour time display. When setting the time, you can only cycle through the hours/minutes in one direction. So, for example, at the end of daylight savings time when you want to set the time back one hour, you have to go forward 23 hours rather than just going back one.Likewise, when setting the time, if you hold a button down, the rate at which the numbers change does not increase. You have to sit there holding the dang button for about 1 second per number change.Once you have your alarm time(s) set, enabling/disabling the alarm is not a straightforward nor intuitive process. All the buttons are the same; i.e. there is no way to distinguish tactilely which button to press to turn off the alarm after it sounds off in the dark when you're half groggy.Snooze time is NINE minutes! Five is ideal, seven is pushing it, but nine???This unit is too digital. There are two features that would be better served with an analog control (or a much MUCH finer granularity in their digital intervals): the volume control and the display brightness.Volume setting '1' (out of 10) is still too loud for my purposes. No atomic clock automatic update feature.OTHER OBSERVATIONS:------------------To the best of my knowledge (I could be mistaken), there is no "low battery" indication for the battery backup. If that is true, then you will need to continually monitor the battery level via some sort of manual method; and if you don't, then that renders the backup feature rather useless (i.e. the power going out with dead batteries is the same as the power going out with no backup system at all). There are 20 radio station presets that can be programmed; but they aren't "universal". That is, there are 10 FM presets and 10 AM presets, not 20 mix-and-match. Either way, that's probably more than enough for 99.9% of people. The alarm is constant volume, not a crescendo alarm. There is a 'sleep' timer that allows you to listen to the radio up to 90 minutes (in 10-min increments) before automatically shutting off.HELPFUL INSTRUCTIONS:--------------------As I said, there are no instructions supplied with this unit. Here is what I've been able to figure out on my own, whether from the Quick-Start Guide or through trial-and-error. I do not know if this covers all the features of the unit or not, since obviously there's no way to know what all the features are w/o a manual to explain them! :-)For purposes of terminology... there is a row of six buttons on the top of the unit. From left to right I'll call those: 'H' (hours), 'M' (minutes), 'SET', 'RADIO', ALM1 (Alarm 1), and ALM2 (alarm 2). Also, there is one additional (much larger) button in front of the row of six, which I'll refer to as the 'Sleep/Snooze' button (it's a left/right rocker type button). The display area consists of the usual digits plus five LED lights; three of the lights are aligned vertically on the left edge of the display and two are on the right. The ones on the left are (from top to bottom): PM (to differentiate between 4:00am & 4:00pm), 'alarm 1 beeper', and 'alarm 1 radio'. The two on the right side are 'alarm 2 beeper' and 'alarm 2 radio'. Okay...SETTING THE TIME:When you first plug in the unit, the display begins flashing and you can set the time immediately. If your unit is not flashing, you need to enter the time setting mode first. To do so, press and hold (for about two seconds) the 'SET' button until the display begins flashing. While your display is flashing, use the 'H' button to adjust the hours and the 'M' button to adjust the minutes. Sorry, the hours/minutes only adjust in one direction. When the correct time is displayed, hit 'SET' again. WARNING: Make sure you take the 'PM' LED into consideration when setting the time. The 'PM' LED is _not_ illuminated for times in the range 12:00 midnight to 11:59am; the LED _is_ illuminated for 12:00 noon through 11:59pm.SETTING THE ALARM:SELECTING THE ALARM SOUND (beeper/radio/off):These two specific functions are actually part of a more general alarm setting function that encompasses both. To change either, you need to first put the unit into the alarm setting mode. To set alarm #1, press the 'ALM1' button once, then immediately press it again and hold it (about 2 seconds) until the display begins flashing. You are now in alarm setting mode.Note: If alarm #1 was disabled before you entered alarm setting mode (neither the 'alarm 1 beeper' or 'alarm 1 radio' LED was illuminated), then entering alarm setting mode automatically enables the alarm in beeper mode, as indicated by the 'alarm 1 beeper' LED illuminating; but if alarm #1 was already enabled before entering the alarm setting mode, it remains in whatever mode it was already in.Once in alarm setting mode (flashing display), the buttons available to you are 'H', 'M', and 'ALM1'. Use the 'H' and 'M' buttons to set the alarm time. Again, make sure you take the 'PM' LED into consideration when setting the alarm time. Use the 'ALM1' button to cycle through the sound options beeper/radio/off (press once for each change)... but see the note further below about the quirky behavior when cycling through the options. The alarm 1 LEDs will indicate which alarm sound is active (one or the other LED will be illuminated, or neither if the alarm is disabled). When the correct alarm time & sound type are entered, do nothing. The unit will exit alarm setting mode and revert to normal timekeeping display after a few seconds.Setting alarm #2 is identical to the procedure described above, except you will use the 'ALM2' button instead of 'ALM1'.Note: When selecting the alarm sound (beeper/radio/off), going from 'radio' to 'off' IMMEDIATELY exits the alarm setting mode and reverts back to normal timekeeping display. This is awkward and non-intuitive (IMO); that is, changing from 'beeper' to 'radio' keeps you in alarm setting mode, but changing from 'radio' to 'off' kicks you out of alarm setting mode. This is a bit quirky. So if you wanted to change from 'radio' to 'beeper' you would need to enter the alarm setting mode twice: (1) Enter alarm setting mode. (2) Press 'ALM1' to change from 'radio' to 'off'. The unit reverts to normal timekeeping display. (3) Enter alarm setting mode again. Because the alarm was disabled before you entered alarm setting mode the second time, beeper mode is automatically selected for you. (4) Do nothing; alarm setting mode will exit after a few seconds. It would have been much simpler to have just kept the beeper/radio/off selection cyclic without kicking you out of alarm setting mode.CHECKING THE ALARM TIME:If you want to check an alarm time without actually changing it (or the sound type), simply hit ALM1 or ALM2 once. The currently set alarm time is displayed. The display reverts back to timekeeping mode after a few seconds.SNOOZING:When an alarm goes off, the beeper or radio (as appropriate) begins sounding and the corresponding LED begins flashing. Hit the Sleep/Snooze button to snooze. As far as I know, it makes no difference whether you rock the button to the left or right; either way pauses the alarm. The alarm's LED continues flashing to indicate the alarm is still active. Snooze time is nine minutes, after which the beeper/radio sounds off again. Repeat as necessary. I do not know how many times you can continue doing this; but an educated guess would be six times (so as not to exceed an hour total).TURNING OFF THE ALARM:After an alarm sounds, turn it off by pressing the 'RADIO' button. Note: This only turns off the alarm sound, it does not disable the alarm; so it will go off again at the same time the next day. See "Selecting the Alarm Sound" above if you actually want to disable it.ADJUSTING THE DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS:Press-and-hold the Sleep/Snooze button until the display brightness changes. Repeat again if desired. There are three different brightness settings available (product description says two, but there are three). It does not matter which way you rock the Sleep/Snooze button, the progression is always in a downward circle (i.e. Hi->Med, Med->Low, Low->Hi).PLAYING THE RADIO:Hit the 'RADIO' button. The frequency is displayed and the radio begins playing. There is no AM/FM indicator; the displayed frequency is your indicator. To turn off the radio, press-and-hold the 'RADIO' button until the radio shuts off.ADJUSTING THE VOLUME:While the radio is playing, use the 'ALM1' and 'ALM2' buttons to adjust the volume. 'ALM1' decreases it, 'ALM2' increases it. NOTE: The same volume setting is used for the radio, alarm #1, and alarm #2; so whatever value you set here is also the value assigned to the alarm volumes.CHANGING FREQUENCY BANDS:While the radio is playing, press the 'RADIO' button to switch from AM to FM or vice versa. The appropriate frequency is displayed as you do so.TUNING TO A STATION:Turn the radio on. Use the 'H' button to decrease the frequency. Use the 'M' button to increase the frequency. Pressing and holding a button performs a scan in the appropriate direction.SELECTING A PRESET RADIO STATION:With the radio turned on (and the appropriate AM/FM frequency band selected), press the 'SET' button. "Pxx" is displayed (where "xx" is the 2-digit preset number, from 01 to 10) and the preset station begins playing. If that's the station you want, do nothing; otherwise hit 'SET' again and the next highest number is displayed and begins playing (10 recycles back to 01). When the desired preset station is found, do nothing. The display reverts back to the frequency after a few seconds.HOW TO SET A PRESET RADIO STATION:Turn on the radio, select the appropriate band (AM/FM), and tune to the desired station's frequency. Press-and-hold the 'SET' button until "Pxx" is displayed and begins flashing (where "xx" is the 2-digit preset number, from 01 to 10). Use the 'H' and 'M' buttons to select the desired preset number ('H' decreases it and 'M' increases it). Press the 'SET' button to assign the frequency to that preset and lock it in.SLEEP TIMER:With the unit in its normal timekeeping mode, press the Sleep/Snooze button once. "90" is displayed and the radio begins playing. Press the Sleep/Snooze button again and "80" is displayed. Press again, "70" is displayed. Etc. This is how long (in minutes) the radio will play before automatically shutting off. Note: Once again, it doesn't matter if you rock the Sleep/Snooze button to the left or right; the time duration can only be updated in one direction, from 90 down to "off" (in 10-minute increments).-------------I hope the above instructions are helpful. You're welcome, Electrohome. I just did your job for you.I debated long and hard about how many stars to rate this product. Once you know how to operate this thing, it's really not a bad unit, so I'm tempted to give it four stars; but in the end I gave it only three stars instead. Products lacking a decent well-written instruction manual is a pet peave of mine, plus there are a lot of improvements that can be made to this product to make it more user-friendly and intuitive, plus a few "missing" features that I would like to see. For a $15 clock-radio, though, you really can't go wrong with this product.
Nice little radio for the price
January 15, 2015
Nice little radio for the price. Red LED display is best for the bedroom, Blue and green displays are supposed to disrupt sleep, and being able to dim the display is a bonus. Sound is a bit tinny but to be expected for such a small speaker. It would be nice if the sound could be turned down a little lower. The lowest setting is a bit louder than I like but is acceptable. The button to turn off the alarm is too small to easily find so I put a small bit of hot melt glue on it so it is obvious when fumbling with the radio while only half awake in the dark. The operating instructions that come with the unit are horrible. I think they had a contest to see who could write instructions using the fewest words. I'm still not %100 sure I have turning the alarm on/off down. You push and hold the alarm set until it blinks, but I think you need to wait 3-4 seconds before tapping to switch between buzzer/radio/off. At least the instructions cryptically refer to waiting 3-4 seconds for something. Poking at it long enough I get what I want but it's more difficult than it should be. I just wanted a simple clock radio/alarm with a battery backup with a red display and this fits the need nicely. I think the rating of this would be better if they just included a decent set of instructions.
A great digital clock for the price -- but reliability may be a problem
March 1, 2013
I was looking for an LED digital clock and eventually decided that my best choices were with clock radios. I wanted something small, and one that didn't use either 9V or coin-type batteries for backup: this one uses two AA cells. (I wanted battery backup, so I don't have to reset it every time there is a momentary power glitch.) It is easy to operate. I have had it for just over one week. It is keeping good time (as expected). The battery backup worked fine when I unplugged it to carry it from one room to another.I am updating this review as a result of the clock "dying" (no display, no radio) approximately two months after I started using it. The cost of shipping it, insured, to Buffalo, NY, was only slightly less than the cost of the clock (less S&H). I received my replacement yesterday. It does not work perfectly (minutes do not set as they are supposed to).As a result of this review, I was eventually contacted by the Amazon supplier. The supplier was very good at handling my complaints and remedying the situation to my satisfaction. I now have a working model of this radio in my house, and at an acceptable out-of-pocket expense. I appreciate their concern for customer satisfaction. Evidently my experience with this product is not like that of others who have purchased it. I look forward to a long use of this clock radio.

Works okay but has some "warts"
September 21, 2017
Clock is very easy to read. The display is large and the red digital lights are at a level that works for night time viewing without being so bright that the display would disturb sleep. The overall size of the clock is fine for our purposes and it keeps perfect time. Now the bad: the bar to set hour and minutes for alarm and time is across the top of the clock. The location makes it too easy to unintentionally change the hours/minutes by just picking up the clock if you have the switches for clock or alarm turned to the "ON" setting on the back. The structure of the clock makes it easy to tip over, which is a nuisance. If I ever have the need to purchase another clock of this type, I would probably not be inclined to buy another one like this.
Too dang loud
March 21, 2017
It's an alarm clock. It tells the time and it goes off with an alarm at a prescribed time, so that works.Problem is it's VERY loud with the conventional "Please somebody hit me in the head" alarm clock noise we all know and hate. And more than that, it's only got one volume setting: LOUD. It will wake everyone on the floor.

Cord location not ideal!
May 9, 2016
If you are thinking of buying this, yes it's a cheap price. My only true complaint is the location of the cord. Most items have the cord located in the center of the back and have the ability to allow one to turn it to the right or left. This alarm clock has the cord located on the right side if you are facing the back of the clock. It's something I never even thought about before buying it, but it's not as nice if you have to have the cord wrap around the back of the alarm clock, which is the situation I found myself in. There's nothing to feed the cord into, so it is easy to see the cord wrapped around the back. Not a huge deal if you are just interested in a cheap alarm clock but something to think about before purchasing.
It's a good clock, but... what's wrong with this picture?
January 15, 2016
Originally bought the clock with the large red display. It's a good clock, but I didn't like the number lights. The picture shown makes it look like the light bars are solid red, but each individual bar is a bright red dot in the center that dulls out on either end. It's almost dizzying to look at number that use a lot of bars. I returned and exchanged for the smaller green display. Now for the replacement (green display)... again, it's a good clock, but the front plate is upside down, as shown in my picture. I was going to return it, but everyone in the house found it funny, so we're keeping it. It's really only for our TV stand since FIOS doesn't have clocks on their new cable boxes. As long as it tells time; it's fine.
TEST IT!
August 21, 2013
I purchased this clock because I experience frequent power outages overnight that disable my alarm clock. I received one of the clocks, set it up, threw in a 9v battery, and assumed everything was fine. Just by chance, I had to unplug it to move it, and I left it unplugged (running on battery backup) for 5 hours when I went to work. When I plugged it back in, it had lost 45 minutes (i.e., it was 6:30 but the clock said 5:45). I tested it a second time - left it unplugged for 4 hours - and it lost 30 minutes. That would definitely not get me to work on time in the event of an overnight power outage!I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement. I tested it: 4 hours with no power and it only lost 6 minutes. So it seems the quality of these clocks varies. As others have noted, the clock does not display the time if it has no power. However, I tested the alarm on both clocks and it did go off despite running off the 9v battery.I need a super loud alarm, and this one is okay. I don't find it nearly as jarring as others have noted. It seems just to be the standard annoying beep. I can actually sleep through it if I'm super exhausted. The clock is nice and small, doesn't take up much room on my dresser. Not bad at all for the price, just make sure to test it so that you know you have a good one.

Not for the heavy sleeper, or the individual with a constantly varying schedule.
October 3, 2017
So...When I got it, the volume key was stuck, so I couldn't press it. I fixed it using some screwdrivers.I do really like how big and clear the letters are, I can see them across the room.I wanted it for the automatic alarm feature, my phone was going crazy at the time and my old alarm clock had just broken. The automatic alarm function is nice, but annoying in that once one alarm is set, the other also sets.I really like that it can function as a radio, however, no matter how many times I follow the directions, I can not preset the stations.Overall, Its a slightly big alarm clock. $20 is an okay price for an alarm clock of its capabilities if it could actually fulfill them.I like the alarm clock, but I don't think I'd rebuy it.

February 18, 2017
This clock radio has really big numbers and it keeps accurate time. The buttons on it are somewhat confusing as they can perform at least two different functions, depending on whether the radio is on or not. But the owner's manual is a big help as is written in Gibberish. I still have not figured out how to this clock radio works and it's going to be awhile before I do.
We were disappointed by this clock
December 7, 2016
We were disappointed by this clock. Many of the buttons have more than one function that it controls, making it confusing and frustrating to make changes and use. I think that they were trying to make it simpler by having fewer buttons, but it made it worse. Growing up it was easy to find a basic clock radio that worked well and was easy to set. What happened?!!!!
It's OK
November 4, 2016
It's OK. Works as designed. It has better reception than two other radios we tried in the same location. The sound isn't great, but given the tiny speaker that's as best as to be expected. Others had trouble making it work, but I played around and figured it out. The radio on-off switch also doubles as a band selector, so I have to toggle through the choices to get to FM and to OFF. Not the best ergonomics.
Pros- Large easy to read display
October 17, 2016
Pros- Large easy to read display, compact size. Cons- Controls not user friendly i.e. hold this button with that button, hold this button down for this much time, touch this button multiple times. Simple slide switch control would of been better.

It claims to have a snooze button and says it does but it does not work. Also AM reception is horrible. I do like the compact size. Could not figure out how to set the alarm and think the "weather" part is unnecessary and does not work correctly. What it does welll is tell time, but that could be done with a watch!

April 23, 2016
The clock is very well built I like to digital tuning on it and the sound is good but it does have one drawback in my office at my job I can't get no reception on this radio even with the antenna hanging out. One of my co-workers has a little radio but I bought from Family Dollar it picks up all the stations. That's the only reason I was disappointed it wouldn't work inside. But it would work at my house. I need one that's very sensitive to radio stations that are weak. But other than that it's well-built It's All Digital
Hard to Set and Clear Alarms
February 9, 2015
It looks nice, has a very visible display and keeps good time even through a power failure. Even though it has a very small speaker, the radio sound quality is good. If you want a nice digital clock that keeps time through a power failure with adjustable display illumination and a minimal AM/FM radio, the Electrohome Digital AM/FM Clock Radio will well meet your needs. If you want an alarm clock with two alarms that an average human can set, activate, and deactivate, look elsewhere. This device has only seven buttons to handle all functions which requires that each button control multiple functions. Button usage is not intuitive and even when following the instructions it is difficult to set and activate the alarms. The instructions do not include how to silence or deactivate (turn it off before it sounds) the alarms. Trying to use this clock radio as an alarm clock is very frustrating and cannot be accomplished without consulting the limited instructions provided.
Clunky controls, iffy radio reception
April 29, 2014
I read reviews of people saying they had a hard time with the controls, but foolishly thought that I was perhaps smarter than the average bear and it wouldn't bother me. I had no trouble figuring out how to set the time & it wasn't hard to figure out how to set the time for the alarm... BUT turning the damn thing off is ridiculous. It's simply cruel to have an alarm which is so tricky to turn off! It's also tricky to set the alarm again - I set it to alarm instead of radio on accident the first time. Very counter intuitive. These should be a key, easy to use features. The radio has digital tuning so I figured it would do better than the ancient alarm dial radio with no antenna that I was replacing. WRONG! It sounded ok when I first tested it, but the first time I tried to use it as an alarm, it was only quiet static. I extended the antenna all the way to no avail. When I tried later manually without having the alarm turn it on, it tuned in better, but still not great. This is located in the exact same spot as my old alarm radio. I cannot understand why it doesn't want to work with the alarm. That was the whole reason I bought this. I like to wake up to the radio, but it looks like I'll be switching to my phone for an alarm.I advise not getting this product, but others seem to have liked it... Maybe the radio on mine is defective. The good things about this alarm clock are that it is compact yet sturdy enough that it isn't going to fall off your nightstand when you hit the snooze button. The red lit clock is easy to read without being too bright.
Husband frustrated on how the alarm buttons work to turn it off.
January 30, 2014
had to return it before he threw it out the window!not a single push but a series of clicking the button a certain way with pauses to get the alarm off.as you face the radio, the second button from the right button must be used to turn the alarmOff. Click quickly once... pause a second then click -holding a second, click again -holding another second.the alarm time should now be blinking. if it is, click same button quickly once if you have the radio as the alarm or twice if the buzzer is the alarm until the red dot is not visible on the left side of the time. the alarm is now turned off.to turn it on again for next day. repeat the button sequence to get the alarm set to go off again.too much for us to deal with too early in the morning!
Digital clock with digital tuner and digital volume
October 3, 2013
After dealing with numerous clock radios that couldn't stay tuned to a station and made crackling noises when the volume was adjusted, all I wanted was a unit with digital controls. I dismissed the other reviews that complain about the user interface. Look, you can learn it if you have the directions, BUT, really, it's pretty bad. All the buttons except snooze are the same size and shape and evenly spaced in a single row, making them difficult to tell apart from bed without your glasses. So many buttons have a different function depending on the mode the system is in and how long you hold them. For example, the same button that changes from am to fm also turns the radio off. The button that decreases volume sets alarm 1 and the button that increases volume sets alarm 2. The snooze button doubles as the sleep button and also dims the display. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with all this, it just seems totally random. If you have room in your brain to learn all this stuff then you may find the EAAC200 digital clock radio acceptable. The only other issue is that the volume on the lowest setting is quite loud.EDIT:UGH!!! So here I am at 5 in the morning trying to unset the alarm before it turns on so as to NOT wake up the wife, couldn't figure it out, and woke up the wife. Here's what I was unable to guess after 2 minutes of screwing with it (Alarm #1 quick, Alarm #1 long, Alarm #1 quick, Alarm #1 quick):SETTING ALARM 11. Please ensure the radio is off.2. Press the (Alarm #1) button once to view current alarm setting then press andhold the (Alarm #1) button to set alarm 1. The alarm time will flash onthe display.3. Press the HR button to increase the hour.4. Press the MIN button to increase the minutes.5. Once alarm time is set, press the (SET) button once to confirm setting. * To toggle between buzzer and radio alarm mode, press the (Alarm #1) button until the desired option is highlighted on the led display. * Radio Alarm 1 (Red led dot appears to the right when set) * Buzzer Alarm 1 (Red led dot appears to the right when set)EDIT x2:So now that I've posted this comment about the usability of this product, I get contacted by the seller directly, offering to teach me how to use the product, and after I indicate that it is not a problem with my understanding of the product but with the design of the product, they send a follow-up email asking me to update my comment since there's nothing wrong with the product. Always fun to be harassed but people that can't read. I assume people - could be a computer contacting me, based on the responses.

It works just fine but I don't like the design. The buttons used to set the time/alarm time or the alarm on/off are quite small, in the back, and resistant. It is very easy to go from alarm set to the time set function/ bypassing the off button. Being in the back, on also has to reach around and feel for them, or turn the clock around, every time it is reset.Again, it works. But a better design would be appreciated.
The alarm is the most terrible grating sound
September 1, 2017
The alarm is the most terrible grating sound, and doesn't start quietly and get louder. The buttons are placed in a way that led to me accidentally setting the time an hour later on more than one occasion. There's only one alarm. Also, my old clock had a "nap" function which I really miss.

Way too bright, and battery backup doesn't work
January 31, 2017
It's a clock. It keeps time. But...Even with a fresh battery installed, the battery backup feature doesn't work. The power has gone out a couple times, and each time the clock has been stupidly blinking 12:00 again. And even when you set the switch on the back to "dim" mode, it's still bright enough to burn your retinas. Seriously, it casts shadows on my bedroom walls when I turn the lights out. I wrapped it in dark cellophane, which helped. But how hard is it to install a dimmer switch that actually makes the clock go dim? Without the cellophane, the light would wake me up any time I rolled onto my side at night facing the clock.

I gave this to my husband for Christmas, after looking for exactly what he wanted. This seemed perfect. He has yet to use it. He said the directions are so complicated, he hasn't bothered to set it up. I am very disappointed. Hopefully once he isn't trying to do this right before bed, maybe it will be fine--but he is a patient man and he was frustrated. Might be returning it.

Should have set my sights a bit higher.
November 6, 2017
When my alarm clock of 15 years suffered fading digits and other issues, I decided I needed a replacement. Simple needs: dual alarm, AM and FM radio, snooze alarm and battery back-up. Ordered this and once it arrived I plugged it in, set time and alarm, installed the batteries and went to the bedroom to move the other one to the guest room. Well, major pain. Had to move the night stand, then the bed to get to the outlet then had to thread a light cord through a hole to permit the new one to go in. Went to retrieve my new one and when I unplugged it, the display went off. Weird, thinks I, it is supposed to be battery back up. Maybe it just holds the settings until power is restored. Nope, neither time nor alarm settings were preserved. Checked to be sure the brand new batteries were installed correctly and they were. Reset the time and alarm and figured I would find out at the first power glitch whether it can hold the settings.Turned out that I woke this morning out of habit. I had set the clock to a radio station but evidently during the lack of power it did not retain that either and I forgot to re-set it. Sought out a station then hit the snooze button. Nine minutes later, as promised it went off again. I hit the alarm button to turn it off and that did not seem to work. Got my glasses, put on the lamp and dug out the instruction sheet. Said to turn off the alarm press the alarm button and cycle through buzzer>radio>off. Well, no cycle for me. All it did was flash "0-0" so I gave up.Happened to be at my local warehouse outlet later so checked out their offering. Yeah, it was $30 more, 3X the price but for that I got a unit with well defined buttons and obvious controls. Gave up the AM station which I never listened to anyway but gained the ability to bluetooth songs from my phone or pad computer, as well as charge them plus I can stream from a variety of music sources to a machine with much better sonic properties. Oh, yeah, still had the dual alarm, snooze and battery back-up which actually works! Here's hoping the Goodwill customer who ends up with my donation fares better than I did.

September 6, 2016
I am returning this alarm clock. It is not at all user friendly and the instructions are poor. Once I managed to get the alarm set, I couldn't figure out how to change it to another time of day and there is no off button! You have to hold down a button while the clock cycles through to off. When i tried that over and over, the alarm still didn't turn off. Save your money and buy an alarm clock that is easier to use.
Too Hard to Set huge pain
April 19, 2016
This clock is very hard to set. In fact it is so confusing that I had to have a jpeg made of the steps to set it, and I had to have that jpeg on hand just to set it. It became too much of a pain to even bother with so I just throw it out at some point. Most clocks have a logical way to set them, but this one made you go into sub menus to set it. I want an easy to set clock so I just use a devise now.
would not recommend to be purchased for alarm clock use
October 7, 2015
This clock has small buttons and is difficult to set. The radio alarm has worked and turned on sometimes, but most other times, it has not even when it is set the exact same way to the correct time and the alarm button is lit. It is not reliable to use as an alarm clock so unless someone just wants a small radio to use, I would not recommend it.

I am pretty disappointed in this clock. I know it is an inexpensive clock but we've had it plugged in less than a few hours and it's apparent that it doesn't keep time at all. It was a piece of junk even the radio didn't sound as good as a transistor. It is on its way back return policy is the reason it got a star.
All aspects of purchasing and delivery were great, but the product is very poor

All aspects of purchasing and delivery were great, but the product is very poor. The sound from the speaker is by far the worst I have ever heard. the voices of people talking are barely understandable.I would not recomd this clock radio to anyone.
good weak station tuning and reception

LIsting says "2*AAA battery needed for backup,Which to maintain your clock and alarm settings during a power outage, ensuring that the time is always accurate, and the alarms will sound at the appointed time." According to the instructions in the package, the battery in the clock maintains time during a power outage, but won't make clock ring, . So nothing "ensures he alarms will sound at the appointed time." This makes it impossible to depend on this alarm clock unless you live in an area that absolutely never has power outages.Where have all the high quality radio clock alarms gone? The minimum: full battery backup functionality, good weak station tuning and reception, continue working for longer than the Amazon return period. Other features such as smart phone charging, Bluetooth, projection of time, etc are all nice, but first and foremost the the thing has to reliably ring every morning!
Do NOT buy!

Can't believe I missed the cutoff for returns. This radio barely functions- the sound is horrible. Not even good enough to give to charity, so I will toss it
Poor quality- broke right away

Must have been defective-- I could only set the alarm one time, then it would not let me set the time or alarm. It was difficult to figure out how to set the alarm, turn it off, etc. Then it didn’t work at all. It does have large numbers, which I like, but now it is just sitting in the garage with the wrong time...
