I use this in an oil diffuser and just a couple of drops are enough to produce a strong enough smell. The bottle is quite large and given the amount required for a full night of diffusing, it's gonna last a while. Highly recommend it anyone! We use it in a diffuser overnight in the bedroom, and I can still smell it hours after the diffuser timer stops. The smell of this product is closer to French lavender than to English lavender. At this price it is hard to go wrong for use in a diffuser or added to a cleaning product as several reviewers have mentioned. The amount you get for the price is fantastic. I make a bottle of spray every week so I needed a lot more than a small 1 oz bottle. The last 2 that we have gotten though have a bitter smell to it that isn't pleasing or soothing and does not smell like lavender. We use is for our special needs grandson who is deaf and blind and has a specific routine and certain smells to help him know what's going on. This lavender is the smell he has learned means it's bedtime. I hoped it was just a bad one when the first smelly one came but when the second one got here and smelt just as bad I was disappointed. Not a PURE Essential OilSeptember 19, 2015 I am writing this review for the people that are looking for a PURE essential oil. If that is what you are looking for this is not it. Pure essential oils when dropped on a blotting paper will impregnate it, evaporate, and dispense, leaving no oily patch. I did this with this peppermint oil and it left an oily patch even after an hour. This usually means it is diluted with a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or grape seed. "Essential Oils" is somewhat of a misnomer. As for the most part essential oils aren't oily. If you are looking for a pure essential oil this is not your product. | Don't waste your money...the oil that I received was watered down or very old. Not therapeutic grade.October 11, 2017 This oil seems to be very watered down. I have liked it in the past, but this one was definitely compromised somehow because the scent was also not as strong. Will not be purchasing Majestic Pure brand again. ONLY FOR AROMATHERAPYOctober 4, 2017 As someone who uses essential oils a lot, and for many things, I almost always check to see if oils are 100% pure, and that they actually are essential oil. Very annoyed because this is not 100% pure lavender oil and of course this is the one time i did not check. I use Fabulous Frannies and just ordered some woozlies and it helps my skin, every time I use this topically I notice I breakout! If an oil says external use only it most likely isn't pure.Lesson learned. If you only use oils for aromatherapy I guess youre okay with this product. Don't think you're making a pocket savvy choice buying this. I've had one bottle for 10 months, but that's because a little goes a long way with even fake essential oils. | I don’t like it, it seems weakOctober 5, 2017 I don’t like it, it seems weak, and I don’t like the fact that they don’t let us know what type of lavender it is, by showing the Latin name. There are 4 types of lavender I know of, I have 4 different types and this one, Now has a cheap lavender that’s better than this one, it’s not my favorite one, but I go through a lot of lavender, and the now brand is the cheap one I use for burning, but I don’t use it for therapeutic usages. This brand doesn’t have enough scent for burning for me. If they would have labeled it better, I might have tried for other uses, but as it is, I don’t want to use it for anything. I bought 3 different cheap brands that amazon is selling in the 4 oz size and I wouldn’t buy any of them again, they all had good ratings, when I buy cheap, I am going to stick with now brand products.
