A Constant Consumer
September 18, 2017
Peppermint essential oil is indeed essential in my home. I keep finding new and useful applications for the oil such as a plant spray to eliminate ants, stain remover and even a glass cleaner. Not only more effective than commercial-made products but you're left with the wonderful aroma of peppermint as a conclusion to the job.NOW manufactures a delightful peppermint oil and I am a constant consumer! I highly recommend!
Great for so many things!
August 5, 2017
I could bath in peppermint I love it. This does not sting if you apply it to your skin and I even put it in my gloss lips stick tubes to help pump up my lips and feel the freshness of peppermint. Would never be without this in the house, mosquitoes hate it, added bonus!
Great Repellent
July 22, 2017
Now peppermint essential oil is great as a repellent. I use it with peppermint soap to clean my floors, baseboards, around windows, etc. The ants, spiders, and bugs hate it. Also, instead of spraying myself with OFF when I need to work in the garden, I rub my arms, hands, or any exposed area with peppermint essential oil and jojoba oil (or whatever carrier oil I have on hand), and it works; the mosquitos and gnats won't bite. Great product.
excellent EO to keep on hand for a variety of uses
July 19, 2017
peppermint essential oil has a lot of wonderful uses - I add a few drops to cotton pads and leave them anywhere I see ants and spiders around the house, and add a few drops in my diffuser for an energizing scent that also deodorizes and helps with headaches/fevers. It's also really effective to treat bug bites - takes the swelling and itchy feeling away.
Can't be without it!!!!!!

I love this large bottle of peppermint because I use it for so many purposes. I use it for my tea to make bug spray for my diffuser to add to my hair conditioners and a host of other uses. Smells very nice, strong but sweet.
Great alternative to expensive oils

I love using this for cleaning and scents. I have the more expensive oils for rollers and ingesting.

Great value, great price.
January 19, 2017
This is a great oil! I've had success using eucalyptus oil for bug repellent, skin clarity, and helping keep the air pure in my home. This particular bottle doesn't come with a dropper, which is good because the oil would actually eat and and potentially absorb the plastic ingredients over time. Just use a measuring spoon to measure the amount you're looking for.I find that this has a soft, pleasant scent and can also be mixed with other essential oils for aroma purposes if you so desire, but first and foremost I find it to be great to keep my skin soft and smooth when applied topically. I am very happy with this product and will continue to purchase the NOW Food brands in the future.
Great and Very Affordable!

Really feel it when I put it on my forehead for headaches. The scent is strong in a good way. I intend to use it in my diffuser next time I have asthma issues or bronchitis.
Dead Disappearing Dust Mites Gone.
June 29, 2016
I have a very bad allergy to dust mites and have been trying to get rid of them for years. They recommend soaking for 30 minutes but I soaked my clothes for about three hours in a mixture of the oil with water before washing. I did not wring them out before putting in the washer. This was a surprise to me after washing my clothes, the Eucalyptus oil gave me a fresh clean smell with no bumps or itching "AFTER THE FIRST WASH." I love it. I will definitely be ordering more for use around the house.
Perfect For Soap
January 5, 2016
I purchased this to use with some of my homemade soap. Different soap bases, fats, end up smelling a little bit different when essential oils are used. I decided to start with a smaller amount of oil with a small amount of soap. After the soap set, I cut it apart and smelled it. It was very subtle yet very pleasant. I increased the amount of oil for the next batch and it was much more pleasant. It did slightly change the color palate of my soap, but because I make natural soap and use natural soap dyes, I adjusted my colorants to make the soap the color I liked. It was easy to pour, and the cap was welled secured. But it wasn't hard to open and the label is very clear and it is easy to read and I can tell which oil I have when I pick it up. The brown bottle keeps the ultra violet light out from the sun so the oil stays fresher longer. Over all I am pleased with this essential oil and the quality for soap making. Because of the saponification process, some soaps need a little more essential oils. It also arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. This is a good quality product to use and most people that use essential oils for common uses will like it too, but that is my opinion. But I feel like you can't do wrong with price and quality.
I have used this product for more than 15 years. Nature at its Best

Eucalyptus Oil mixed with Grapeseed Oil 50-50 is an all purpose Natural relief. When you use it you can say good-bye to all your aches and pains: All body aches including: Upper and Lower Back, shoulders, elbows, knees, heels, feet, Arthritis, Asthma, Allergies, headaches, sinus, burns and sunburns. It is also useful for: Chest congestion, bronchitis, cold sores, carpal tunnel syndrome, soreness and bruises. It is a sudorific, a stimulant, anticatarrhal and astringent.Eucalyptus Oil sinks into the skin and relaxes blood vessels that are restricted and pressing on the nerves, and pain stops. The properties in Eucalyptus Oil are still best known today as " Natures Tree of Life"I have stopped taking pain medications. Be sure to mix the 100% pure Eucalyptus Oil with Grapeseed Oil. I buy Cobalt blue bottles to keep it in, so it does not lose it's essence. These bottles come with a pump or spray, whichever you prefer. I have shared this product with many of my friends.
Great stuff. Good price. Thanks.

I like this lavender better than YL brand
July 3, 2016
I have an account with Young Living, but have found that their oils are often too expensive for my frugal lifestyle. This is a great alternative. My process is to first ensure that the oil is 100% -- often with 'higher priced' oils, you might find that (elsewhere) the product will be 20% essential oil and 80% carrier oil, so truly, it's important to read the labels. Secondly, insofar as "therapeutic grade" -- there is no "official" labeling by the FDA. My experience is that if it DOESN'T say this, then it may be cosmetic/perfume grade and may not be as strong. Thirdly, I check the genus and family names. If they do not match what my essential oil remedy books say to use, I don't buy that particular oil, and may then go to YL, OR find another oil in the same family. One test that is recommended (for purity) is to take a drop of oil and place it on a sheet of paper. It should disappear within the hour. I did this test, comparing YL and NOW foods, and the NOW foods absorbed more quickly than YL brand and had a better scent. I use quite a bit of lavender, and so this 4 oz bottle is a really good value
Oh la la, I feel french.

Love, love, love! It's a wonderful little luxury I buy for myself. Whenever I use it, it reminds me of having a lovely aromatic massage. I can also imagine fields of beautiful lavender fields. I'm glad I bought the big bottle because I like to use it for different uses. It's easy to mix and combine with other productsSo many great uses:I use it at night to help relax me before I go to bed.I mix it with some massage oil to give my kids a relaxing massage before they go to bed.I have used it in a spray bottle with water for a natural room refresh.I also like to use it in the bathtub with epson salts to soak in after a workout. What not to do:I caught a nasty respiratory infection right before the kids finished school this year and I read somewhere that massaging your lymph nodes under your arms can help stimulate your immune system. So before I thought better of it, I used the lavender oil straight from the bottle and rubbed it under my arms. Not my best idea: ouch. I know now not to use essential oils under your arms because it can sting.I do wish that it came with a dropper because in my opinion it would be easier to use.
Just my two cents...
November 7, 2015
So...I just felt I had to defend this product from what is more likely to be misunderstanding on the part of the consumer than a shortcoming of the company (Now Foods, not Amazon).Look, I'm no world renowned lavender breeder, but I know there are MANY types of lavender. They do not all smell the same. Likewise, for example, German and Roman chamomile smell 'similar' but not alike. You will see plenty of folks crabbing about they got 'fake' or low quality chamomile because they got a bottle of German and all they ever smelled before was Roman. So some of the bad reviews, I believe, from self titled rabid lavender fans, are due to this. 'I know lavender; we had a lavender bush growing up, and this isn't it'...well, that just means you had lavender breed X and this apparently isn't that.Lavender will also smell different depending on whether just the blooms are used, or leaves, or stems, and in what ratio. That is not a flaw either. Some people prefer a 'bloomier' oil, some people desire a little more stringency and want some stems/leaves. It's not right or wrong, any more than telling someone who likes a lot of tannins in a wine they are wrong and you should only like a little.I would say in my experience this particular brand tends to mix stems/leaves with blooms though not to a slap-you-in-the-face degree. And I'm not enough of a lavender fanatic as to know whether or not companies might have to change their blends for one reason or another (weather, harvests, who knows).Honestly, I would think the lavender fanatics would know there are different 'breeds'of lavender if they love it so much & take that into account. Now, the other major roadblock is that quite frankly, there's a lot of third party sellers on this site that just shouldn't be sheltered by Amazon. They are selling either adulterated actual product or downright fake.People will buy the real stuff, pour most of it into other bottles, slap a label on and sell those bottles as 'Laurie's Awesome Lavender Oil' or whatever and then take the nearly empty Now bottle, fill it with who knows what, and sell it to us. Twice the profit for them! It could be water or canola oil for all you know. But it has just enough lavender smell to fool you for two minutes till you use it and decide Now Foods are the dirty bums, not the third party seller. There is, finally, the fact that if someone sold you oil that has been stored improperly or is old, it's not gonna be good. Again that's the fault of the seller, not the manufacturer.I have always bought my oils from EITHER:A) a local business I feel I can safely trust, like a major grocery chain or a local health food type store that I've made other trustworthy sales withB) a third party amazon seller who has a high number of ratings of which the vast majority must be positiveC) amazon itself, directly. Look at who is selling the item. You know, where it says 'Sold By'. Does it say Amazon.com? Great. They are very easy to work with. Does it say 'Biff's Fine Beauty Supply'? Then see B above.I don't know what else to say. My experience with this oil and Now Foods has always been fine. I've owned probably four bottles of the lavender and all have been fine for me. I don't think it smells chemically or synthetic; I just think those folks either prefer the softer, bloomier mixes or got an adulterated bottle. I own probably thirty-five of the Now oils and while I agree they are not usually the most superior product to be found anywhere in the world, FOR THE MONEY they are excellent. The most superior oils are frequently five or more times the cost but are not five times as amazing, and usually come in a smaller bottle to boot...so for me, who has not the income of a Hilton heir, these represent a very good value.
Great oil
November 7, 2015
I am no stranger to NOW products and can really attest their authenticity. This lavender roil was actually the first essential oil I ever purchased way back when Crunchy Betty was an active blog. It really became my entry to the aromatherapy world, and I am glad I bought it. The scent is fairly strong and woodsy, but keep in mind this isn't a fragrance oil, so it doesn't smell like those commercial lavender cleaners. That being said, I do find it quite pleasant and relaxing. I'm sure it's not diluted, and a tiny bit goes a really long way. It is easy to blend with other oils to make great scents: bergamot, tea tree, peppermint and rosemary blend well with this lavender essential oil.I have combination skin with rebelious tendencies and likes to sprout a few pimples a month. This oil helps lots when I add it to my daily moisturizers and has aided in reducing active blemishes. I love that a lot. I also find it soothing on my skin. Just remember a little goes a long way and you don't want to add it undiluted on your skin for a long period of time since it may cause a little burn in the area. Always dilute!Sometimes I add a couple drops in the shower and my body oil when I need extra relaxation. This with a little bergamot oil rubbed on the palm of my feet aid my sleep greatly. A drop on your pillow will help you relax as well.I also use it as a fabric softener and have discovered it doing wonders and keeping all my laundry perfectly scented. All in all this is a great products with many, many uses and I will not look back. I love this scent and NOW foods sells quality stuff!

Fantastic price have been using it with neem oil to combat fleas on a pet rabbit. Covers the garlicky odor of the neem completely. She loves it and will quickly hop over when told its time for a treament. Using 2 parts lavender to1 part neem, dropping it along her spine and brushing it thru the entire coat. She's not much of a self cleaner, as she prefers to be brushed. I'm trying this because bunnies have very sensitive skin and both are safe for human infants so should be okay.
Smells GREAT!
December 9, 2010
This is 100% PURE Lavandula Officinalis. It smells exactly the way it's supposed to. This is REAL lavender.I see some reviewers complaining that it smells "watered-down", altered, or different from other oils they've bought. Be sure to check that you weren't buying a lavender hybrid in the past, known as Lavandula x hybrida, or LAVANDIN. It's commonly marketed and sold as real lavender, as companies can claim it is a "type of lavender". While it IS technically a TYPE of lavender, it differs from real lavender in a few ways. Most Notably: the scent of LAVANDIN is much stronger than that of REAL lavender. It's medicinal properties vary somewhat as well. REAL lavender can be used to help heal burns, while the hybrid can actually worsen them!LAVANDIN is used because it's easier to grow, and therefore cheaper. NOW Lavender oil is NOT the hybrid, but the real thing. I believe it is a superior product, but for those of you that prefer the stronger smell, look for Lavandula Hybrida, or "Lavandin" instead. If a bottle doesn't list which "breed" it is, you can't be certain which type it is. Maybe you could call whichever company that is selling it and find out? I would hope they would tell you, at least! NOW, however, actually lists the name on the bottle as being Lavandula Officinalis, or "official lavender". It can also be called Lavandula angustifolia, Lavandula vera, among other names. There are dozens of different species of Lavender, so you may come across other names as well. The way to tell the difference between real and hybrid is this: if there is an "x" between genus and species names (Lavandula x intermedia) then it's a hybrid, and should smell stronger. Hope that helps. :D

I use high quality Young Living essential oils for home use. I use this Now brand peppermint oil for the cleaning products I make for my professional cleaning business. I can definitely tell the difference between Now and Young Living, but for cleaning purposes, it works and smells great. Much better than some cheaper oils I've tried (stay away from "Radha")

Nice oil
February 7, 2017
I do love this oil and all of the NOW products I have ever tried have been great. The seller is very direct that this bottle does not come with a drip topper but it would be a small thing that would make this product perfect. I am on the hunt for a different bottle to put this into so that I can use drops in the diffuser. As it is, it drips all over the place when trying to use it. Next time I will probably just get another brand since I use this almost every day and am wasting it without the dripper top. The quality is very good so I don't understand this omission.
pretty good i think.
September 29, 2016
honestly this is my first brand of Eucalyptus oil so have no clue if it's a good quality or not. It however does smell decent and not rancid. it has helped keep the right side of my nose from getting clogged up as much when i use it in oil diffuser locket necklace but, works best when i combine it in a nasal inhaler with some mystic liquid menthol essential oil. no more need to hunt down the original formulated vicks vapor inhaler now!
Fine oil, not the best bottle
May 29, 2016
It's eucalyptus oil. It smells nice and helps clear the airways if you have a stuffy nose. It may be slightly less strong than some of the other eucalyptus oil I have gotten, but I could easily just be imagining that. That said, these bottles don't come with the convenient dripper caps that some of the competition has, and I'm going to deduct a star for that. You typically want to dispense a few drops of this into some sort of vaporizing device, and that's hard to do with this type of bottle.
Good value for the price
May 17, 2015
Good value for the price. Only rating it lower because there is no device on the bottle to easily shake out drops. You'll want your own dropper or some other way of getting the oil out if you don't want the bottle to get sloppy looking.

Great Product but arrived damaged
November 7, 2017
This is a great product. The essential oil smells great, natural, and pure. The bottle, however, arrived damaged (the cap was broken) despite all of the bubble wrap and the interior box. I probably lost less than half an ounce. Since I knew I couldn't mail the topless bottle back, I contacted the seller about getting a replacement cap and got no response from the seller.
Very good quality, reasonable price!
September 26, 2017
This lavender essential oil is of very good quality, while being reasonably priced. I have purchased a variety of NOW brand essential oils directly from a health foods store where I live, but they don't always have larger sizes I need for making soaps and balms. I will definitely be back for more. Thanks, Amazon and NOW!
Good stuff but no dropper
April 18, 2017
Love this brand of oils and have been using them forever. However this was my first time buying this bigger bottle and I was disappointed that it didn't have neither a dropper or dropper spout. The smell and quality are spot on.
This is my favorite brand of essential oils
October 14, 2015
This is my favorite brand of essential oils. The lavender scent is strong and true. I gave it 4 stars though because the 4 oz bottle I ordered didn't have a stopper in it that acts as the dropper. Luckily I still had my 1 oz bottle and was able to remove the stopper/dropper and refill the 1 oz bottle with the contents from the 4 oz that I ordered, and then replace the stopper/dropper. This was a hassle though and wish they would just put the stopper/dropper in every size. I would have just put the stopper/dropper from the 1 oz bottle into the neck of the 4 oz bottle, but it didn't fit. Oh well.
Redemption at its finest.
February 27, 2015
Being new to the whole essential oil movement that is happening these days, I decided to go with NOW Foods essential oil for the amazing price and sizes of the bottles. The price is exceptional for the size of the bottle, so essentially you are getting a steal! With the more popular brands of essential oils you are paying at least triple the price for a third of the size of the bottle....that's just not okay with me. Since I'm not ingesting it I didn't need it to be the purest of pure oils. I just needed oils for my autistic/ ADD 3 y.o. And my migraines. Seems simple enough right? No.I recieved the package super quickly, sooner than what Amazon said.. Awesome! The day I got the NOW Foods lavender essential oil I had a raging migraine so I was super excited to try out making my own head ache pillow (rice and lavender essential oil in a sock). The first thing I noticed is there is no dropper nor plastic dropper cap most oils come with. Luckily I had my own dropper so that problem was solved. If you don't have your own this is going to be a major problem because most e.o. recipes go by how many drops to use. Another thing I noticed is the smell.. I am no expert on lavendar e.o. but the smell was off (See: fake)....the smell is overbearing. And yes I get its a concentrated scent but there is something off with this oil. As for making my headache go away..no, it just made me want to throw up.On the up side it did make my son calmer and even fall asleep easily. For that they get 4 stars. You have no idea how much of a life saver it is to find something that is all natural AND calms my child down. The bottle is dark, to help preserve and protect the oil from sun exposure. The label, as with all NOW Foods products, is nice and simple. The ingredients is pure lavendar AND tells you how they extract the oil for "purity". All in all, for the the price, size, and effectiveness I would recommend this product. Especially to someone who is not looking to blow a ton of money on tiny little bottles of essential oils.
Mix with regular rubbing alcohol or a peroxide based solution to make disinfectant surface spray
May 24, 2013
I add some to a white vinegar and water solution and use it to clean windows and glass top tables. Lavender has disinfectant properties, and it smells really good. It isn't just for aromatherapy applications. You can add it to any homemade cleaning solution, and it will both enhance the cleaning properties and make everything smell better. However, the aromatherapy applications are legion, and a four ounce bottle of this stuff goes a long long way. Add to carrier oils for massages or to make lotions. Put a few drops in the tub or the washing machine, or put some on a washcloth and throw it in the dryer. Put a few drops on your pillow at night, or use some to scent a handkerchief to carry with you.One thing about the alcohol-based surface disinfectant -> don't use near fire or flame. Should be obvious, but thought I'd better mention it.

it might just be like olive oil -- the first pressing is fragrant
November 5, 2015
This is decent peppermint oil for the price. I've noticed that it does not smell as pure as more expensive oils, and it has just a hint of chemical odor, too (I have a very sensitive nose; my wife can't smell any chemical odor). It also doesn't have as strong a scent as more expensive oils. Who knows why; it might just be like olive oil -- the first pressing is fragrant, but later pressings have less taste and require chemical extract all the oil. Again, I don't know this; it's just an idea.I would use this oil for those cases where you want a lot of oil -- for example as a way to keep mice and spiders away from a large area. If you just want a really nice scent, I'd probably spring for the Plant Therapy Essential Oils.
one to see if it's like the the Young's Living and Genesis ones
September 1, 2015
1 star off because there's no stopper or dropper with this. I buy a lot of essential oils- especially Now brand. First one that doesn't have a stopper inside. I've had to use a more essential oil than necessary because I keep on forgetting to use a dropper. It's also not as strong as some of the other peppermint essential oils I've used. Next time will try the 1 oz. one to see if it's like the the Young's Living and Genesis ones.
Not great as a rodent repellent, but has a great scent.

Like the smell. Does not last long.
September 27, 2017
I use essential oils in a 150ml and 400ml diffuser. No matter how many drops I use, I get a strong smell for about 30 minutes and then it's super faint or nothing.I enjoy the smell and will continue to use it.
Not very long lasting as a room deodorizer.
July 9, 2017
This has a weaker fragrance than the eucalyptus fragrance on bought eucalyptus wreaths. But, this is probably because it is an essential oil. Also seemed to me to have a somewhat medicinal odor, but breathing it in hot water really opens up the sinuses.
Not very functional.

Good, But Not Top Quality
June 2, 2015
For the price you do get a lot of oil. The quality is not bad but it falls short of what I would call top quality. The aroma seems to dissipate faster with this brand and isn't quite as big as others I have used. I wouldn't steer anyone away from this brand. Just know there is better out there but you will pay more for them.

Okay product.
April 18, 2017
I bought this for several reasons and I have to say, I'm not a big fan of NOW products in general. The smell of this oil was okay but not exactly what I was hoping for. Just seemed a tad off to me so I most likely will not buy again. It may work for someone else of course. To each his own.
Good oil. Packaging needs improvement.....
January 22, 2017
Good product. Biggest gripe is no dropper or metering stopper like other oils I have purchased. Granted, I can go buy a dropper, but how hard can it be to include one of these features on the vial? Dispensing is a pain.
Still more watered down....
March 5, 2016
Been buying this for years use in the laundry, because it always seemed a bit watered down. Now, it seems even weaker than usual. No biggie, since I don't use it for true aromatherapy purposes, but I find I need to use more than before.
inconsistent quality
November 19, 2014
the 2 oz bottle I bought the first time had a more natural, woodsy kind of scent. I use this on my dryer balls to scent my laundry and this batch doesn't seem to be lasting on my clothes the way that the last one did. I bought the larger bottle this time because I liked the scent of my first smaller bottle so much. The 4oz bottle also doesn't have the little plastic top at the mouth of the bottle like the 2oz did. that was a convenient thing to keep me from spilling or over-pouring. I'm kind of bummed because, having ordered from this company before, I thought I knew what to expect and this smells entirely different. It definitely doesn't have the "field of lavender" scent that I loved before.

Lower end lower price. Serves its purpose for it's skin healing benefits but this is not a quality product for its scent. I do not prefer to use this for defusing but have and do not make perfume with this.

Not as strong as it used to be. Disappointed.
October 23, 2017
This bottle I just purchased & received is NOT strong smelling peppermint like the previous NOW Brand Peppermint bottles I have purchased from Amazon and other retail stores. I assume the NOW Manufactor is weakening the strength of this oil from how it used to be. Very Disappointed now with NOW Brand.
Potency changed with the second order.
April 14, 2017
The first time I ordered this it was GREAT for relaxing my muscles and as drops in my head and on my temples to help fight off my migraines. The order I received this past Monday is not only diluted it smells different almost like artificial candy. If I could get the same product that I received the first time this would get 5 stars. This second order from Lot #2103566 7586 1824 IS NOT 100% PURE as it claims.
Not "power" packed.
June 20, 2015
large bottle but not overly potent. Seems like you use more of it to get the same results.
Great smell. Great product not great package
December 22, 2014
The dropper inside didn't work. I had to transfer this to two smaller bottles. Great smell. Great product not great package. Thank you.
but Amazon refunded by purchase so all good.

Didn't smell right, but Amazon refunded by purchase so all good.
Bottle not designed to pour only a few drops out
December 7, 2014
The bottle does not have the little insert that allows you to pour out a few drops, so it's impossible to do that. Using too much of this is overpowering, but there's no way to get only a little out. The quality of it seems good, but it's difficult to use it for the purpose for which I bought it (in an aromatherapy mister).

Cheap, but not great. I should have got a brand I knew and trusted.
September 25, 2017
While this oil is affordable, and can perform the same basic duties as most eucalyptus oils, I am not entirely satisfied with this product. The packaging is not ideal - there is no stopper of any kind at the opening of the bottle, making it prone to dripping when poured, and causing over-pouring in general. I have included photos. The oil itself also has a "chemically" smell to it. It almost makes me unwilling to use it, for fear of resulting headaches that can come from similar scents. Not too pleased.
Smells Bad!
May 15, 2017
The product has a nice consistency but I think the smell is terrible! I use eucalyptus oil in my diffuser daily and this is the worst smelling one I have ever purchased! It smells like something rotted... too bad I have a huge bottle of it.
Ugh...
April 5, 2017
Doesn't smell like any eucalyptus oil I have ever smelled, The plastic stopper is attached to the lid so the only way to get the oil out is by pouring it. I need a couple of droppers for these bigger bottles,
Not the best
January 10, 2017
Not as good as the last brand I bought. This one is too harsh and astringent, not deep and rich.
Smells like bleach
October 28, 2016
This is my second time purchasing same product, last year it smelled fresh and fruity but the one that we received now (Oct.'16) has a chemical odor when you pour it, like lysol or bleach, hence it has the exact opposite effect of relaxing. My wife in particular cannot stand it. I cannot take more risks I am never ordering this brand again.
I must say this brand has a pungent smell that isn’t like the other brands I’ve used in the past
February 10, 2016
I have bought Eucalyptus oils for many years and used various brands, I must say this brand has a pungent smell that isn’t like the other brands I’ve used in the past. The price is reasonable, but I don’t know how effective it is. even my wife and kids complain about it when I use it in my diffuser. I don’t know if its pure or not, it doesn’t smell like the regular Eucalyptus and it has an embalming fluid aroma to it too.

not quite an exact lavender scent
Poor Quality.
June 20, 2017
This doesn't make my room smell like lavender at all.
Defective dropper on bottle.
December 30, 2016
Just opened this tonight to use, it smells great, but the dropper piece was stuck inside the lid. It will not fit into the bottle securely by snapping in - it just lays on top. I cannot use it this way, it's impossible to measure by drops. If the seller is monitoring this board, I would like a replacement bottle that has a functioning dropper.
No dropper caps in this bottle. Yuk.
May 29, 2016
While I love the oil, I hate that this larger bottle doesn't have the dropper cap the small bottles have. That was a huge disappointment. It means I have to use a medicine dropper, which should prove disastrous when it gets down to the bottom of the bottle. I won't order again unless they start to sell these with the dropper caps.
Poor Value
November 26, 2014
It take 3 - 5 times the amount of this product to get the same scent as in a more more expensive item. Also considering that the more you buy, the better the price should be per volume, this is not as good a deal as it looks.
Does not last
June 16, 2014
You defiantly get what you pay for with this oil. I use lavender in a diffuser and thought I would try to save some $$ because pure lavender can be pricy. It smells like very cheap lavender and the smell does not last.

Broken
December 24, 2016
Not quite sure how to rate this since I usually love NOW essential oils, especially Peppermint. The oil itself is great but the delivery stinks. The bottle cap had shattered and the oil had spilled into the bubble wrap and envelope. I should've known since I could smell the oil in my mail box. I wouldn't even know how to return it. Anyway, great product, but pretty much worthless since the bottle cap broke and oil spilled everywhere.

Perplexed and Disappointed...
June 5, 2016
I fell in love with this product and brand when I purchased a 1 oz. bottle of Now Foods Peppermint Essential Oil from a local store. It was extremely potent and worked really well. I was so excited to find it was available on Amazon in a larger size (4 oz.) and so I immediately purchased it. After using the last drop of peppermint oil in my 1 oz. bottle, I opened up my new 4 oz. bottle. Upon opening, I immediately noticed the dropper-top was broken and unusable which was upsetting. Secondly and more importantly, the smell was not even close to being as potent as that of the 1 oz bottle purchased from the store. It seemed watered down or possibly a totally different product. I'm perplexed because it's the same brand of peppermint oil, just different sizes. I also noticed that the seal design on the bottle is totally different to that of the one I purchased in the store. Suffice to say I will not be purchasing this product here again!
I must have got a bad batch because it was much stronger before
February 26, 2016
I ordered this before and it was much much stronger. This time the smell is gone a few minutes after I spray it. When I opened the bottle I could tell it was far less strong this time, straight from the bottle I could sniff it up close and only get a whiff of peppermint. I must have got a bad batch because it was much stronger before. Usually a 4 star for me.
Inoperable dropper/dripper top.
March 6, 2015
The dropper/dripper top is unattached to the bottle, and completely inoperable with plastic covering the hole. This has been the case on all four bottles ordered recently from NOW.

Very weak and does not have a dropper.
October 1, 2017
For the price and size of the bottle this appeared to be a great deal but now after using it, that is not the case. We found this oil to be very weak and the lack of a dropper or any other dispensing mechanism, is very annoying. The previous eucalyptus oil we had, can't remember the brand, was potent enough that we only needed 3 or so drops for an entire room. With this one, it's actually ok that it doesn't have a dropper, because you need to pour out about a whole tsp or so to get the same effect. I will definitely not be getting this one again.
Do buy, horrible smell and bad quality.
February 15, 2017
I've used several NOW oils and have liked what I've received. This product, however, is horrible. It didn't even smell like Eucalyptus oil at all. I will not buy this oil from NOW again.
Weak as water, don't buy it!
February 3, 2017
This oil is terrible. Don't buy it. I put 20 drops in my diffuser which holds only 120ml of water and i can't smell it. Not sure why everyone is rating this oil as good, b/c it's not.
Bad luck this time
December 10, 2016
I have ordered NOW essential oils almost exclusively, and have purchased eucalyptus before. However, this time it is an absolutely horrific smell. Something bordering on cat urine. Not sure what could be wrong with it, but as always I do purchase prime only items. I know that scents can vary from batch to batch, but there really does seem to be something wrong this time
I am not sure if this eucalyptus oil is pure ...
November 14, 2016
I am not sure if this eucalyptus oil is pure, it has a different smell than the previous ones I have been purchasing, just doesn't smell as pure as it should.

This is my fourth bottle of NOW Foods Eucalyptus Oil, 16 Ounces. The previous three were perfect and smelled great. The fourth arrived and smells rancid. I had to return.

July 15, 2017
This is terrible, smells like really bad lavender soap. Not the same quality I purchased the last time. Spend a little extra and purchase doterra or youngliving. Huge disappointment.
Don't order! Not lavender

Not reall lavender way to oily and smells rancid!
Customer Satisfaction is clearly not their priority.
January 3, 2017
I have always purchased NOW brand essential oils and vitamins. I buy the 4 oz sizes whenever it's available, but I'm so tired of not having a dropper top on the bottles. I actually contacted NOW a couple months ago to inquire about this. They said that from now on (late 2016) that all of their 4oz bottles will come with a dropper top in their bottles. I asked if I could purchase some of the tops, or if they would be so kind as to send some, and the woman who is in that department, the Personal Care Manager, simply wouldn't respond to either of my emails. Another employee responded and apologized, however she was unable to help. It bothers me that after all of the money I have spent with them, they couldn't let me purchase some silly plastic toppers, or even send some out at my cost. I will not purchase NOW brand any longer. It's clear they don't take care of their customers, which is disheartening. I prefer to purchase from someone who's customer satisfaction is their priority.
Poor product don't buy and Amazon claims it's a hazardous material and won't let me return it.
July 18, 2014
Just got this today and it does not smell like lavender oil and not concentrated. It's watered down. Oil stays on your hands this washes off easily. Diluted version on lavender oil and a poor one. I suggest people to skip even buying this. I bought this to replace the vitacost brand does not even compare. Total waste of time and money. Does not say you cannot return it on the order page anywhere. How is this a hazarodous material? This is something you can pour down the drain and recycle the bottle."For safety reasons, items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned to Amazon.com. Customers should dispose of hazardous materials according to Local, State and Federal regulations. Customers should contact their local government or local waste company for directions on how to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste. "I looked at all the reviews today after typing this review - there are many complaints for July about this product. So Amazon - do some monitoring - bad item...and you won't stop selling it or let people return it.I sent a email to Amazon about this... waiting for a reply. All the complaints rececently really - need to be checked out - maybe go open a few bottles on the shelf.
Sickening smell, Something wrong with this oil, Lavandula officinalis
July 16, 2014
My big mistake. It was not worth the lower price.I detected a irritating smell from synthetic chemicals.Instead of having healing properties, it causes an allergic reaction to my body.I found a few negative reviews with the same judgment as mine."The smell is very artificial, overpowering""The scent of this oil is a bit strong and not that pure as other lavenders oils""I felt nausea after smelling it."So I did some research and found shocking facts - Dark side of the industry. These are from a online article:******************************************************"100% PURE IS NOT 100% PURE ESSENTIAL OILIt can be labeled 100% pure and only requires 5% pure essential oil in it (the rest can be synthetic). So this labeling gives no indication of quality.True lavender oil (Lavandula angustifolia) is expensive and difficult to find. Most of the lavender oil sold in America today is actually the hybrid, Lavandin, grown and distilled in China, Russia, France and Tasmania. It is shipped to France and cut with synthetic linolyl acetate to improve the fragrance. Then propylene glycol, DEP or DOP (odorless solvents) are added and it is labeled as <Lavandula officinalis>.Many times it also goes through heat processing to burn off the camphor the hybrid contains and then thinned with more linolyl acetate to appear as lavender. These bottles line the shelves of health food stores, herb shops and department stores, selling for $5.00 to $7.00 per half ounce.Unfortunately, most consumers don't know the difference."*********************************************************Update:I found a very interesting site that showing 3rd party test results. That is invaluable info we consumer want.<Learning about EOs.***>*Google "3rd party essential oil test" and the site should come out on the top. Please scroll down to NOW Foods and see how the company respond.
