Five Star Reviews: | 59% Works the same at a better price July 6, 2017 This is the 2nd iCoffee I've purchased. The first one I used at home usually only on the weekends, for about six months, and then brought it to work where it gets used frequently each day, and is now over a year old. No problems. This 2nd one works just as well, uses any kind of coffee pod I've purchased. Noise it the same as the old Keurig. Price was better. Wins hands down on any other I have had. April 29, 2017 I have had 2 Kurieg coffee pots, and have nothing but trouble with them. They get clogged up frequently, take forever to heat up, and many more issue. This one has been a dream. Simple to use and best if all let's you use any kcups or your own ground coffee. Kurieg really messed up on their reliable products. You couldn't give me a free Kurieg at this point. Buy this brand and you won't be disappointed. Great non-Keurig coffee brewer March 13, 2017 Great coffee maker! I didn't care for the continuous flashing red light that indicates it's ready to brew. So I put black tape over it. It was recommended by San Francisco Bay Coffee Company and I wanted something non-Keurig. It was delivered promptly and works dandy for all pods. Thanks to iCoffee I got my life back (a true story!) January 15, 2016 Awesome Company! Awesome Brewer and better taste thank the evil "K" Empire!Right out of the box this Brewer blew away the picky K2.0 that would only work withs it own cups. Taste was bolder and more balanced!... All went perfect until last night! It stopped working!!! My life passed before me... No coffee! What is a working man to do? Should I call off work? After all surely without a great cupper I could not perform proper duties... AH! The toll free support number was my salvation... I stalled and within moments the Brewer was again butting out awesom brew! It appears that on some single serving cups the grind is so fine that in time it can clog the injectors. This is what happened. When I pressed the brew button instead of sucking water from the resovior it was refilling it. So the great customer service guy told me a simple paper clip injected 2" into each of 2 holes in the injector and running the water at 12 ounces two time will clear it out! So I did and POOF! All my darkest problems have slipped away and now my cup of great coffee runnith over with joy! Thanks to iCoffee I got my life back!!!! Hippy! Good, or excellent customer service. Overnight replacement, after trouble shooting failed. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! August 31, 2015 delivered August 18th. produced about two dozen EXCELLENT cups of coffee, then...NOTHING!!!! just sits and spins. Not at all pleased. tried unplugging, changing water, nothing seems to do anything at all. Pretty lights, though. However, customer service is GREAT! They stepped right up to trouble shoot, and then to deliver an overnight replacement. Now, for the rest of the story: The replacement that was sent to us overnight, worked for about another month, before the same problem developed. Needless to say, we were discouraged. I wrote a nastigram to the makers, and was rewarded almost immediately by a call from the INVENTOR! He insisted that we would get to the bottom of the problem, and has since bent over backwards to satisfy us. No matter what else happened, this was service well beyond what one has come to expect in this country. I commend them, and more. This machine is AMAZING. It is quiet July 24, 2015 This machine is AMAZING. It is quiet, sleek, totally cool with blue lights over your cup as the coffee brews. It is indeed a smoother cup of coffee than Keurig. I would never buy another Keurig again now that they have changed their machines to only accept Keurig over priced K-cups. Further, Keurig is noisy whereas this machine is silent. I also like that no matter what size you brew, the coffee tastes great - unlike Keurig. If you went over 8 oz. the coffee was weak and gross. I would give this coffee maker 10 stars if I could.The ONLY issue was the taste of plastic when we first brewed. I decided to "descale" with white vinegar (1/3 of resevoir in white vinegar and the rest water - brew until empty - let stand for 2 hours - then brew an entire resevoir of clean water) and this fixed the problem. Save yourselves some trouble when this arrives (and you SHOULD buy it) and just do the descale I described above. My only complaint is that it is a bit "chinzy" or cheap to the touch. Just threw out our 5 yr old Keurig machine, and this is perfect. Will likely get the smaller one for out guest room! Great coffee maker March 8, 2017 The taste of my morning coffee has become full bodied with the use of the Davinci. I have gone thru a half a dozen coffee makers and this isone of the best for 4 or less cups made at one time. I have not ried it for larger servings but it should be comparable.Anyway my search for an excellent coffee maker is over. I hope it will last more than two years.Then they may come up with a remodel.l A definite winner over Keurig November 4, 2016 This replaced my Keurig, well actually I went through several Keurigs, and I like it a lot better. I have had this machine for a little over a month and purchased it as an "open box". I was skeptical but it has worked great. I have worked out the proper grind to produce the perfect cup of coffee. I cannot say the "spin brew" makes the coffee better because a Keurig is not worth comparing. However, I do know that it definitely does not make the coffee worse. My only regret is that I did not buy one with a larger chamber because I brew coffee at home each morning. Great for the price March 21, 2016 Our standard Keurig died, and we bought this as a replacement. I didn't like what Keurig was doing to it's machines now (making them work only with Keurig cups). This machine works well. It is a bit slower to heat, and a bit slower to dispense, but it's hardly noticeable. It does seem to drip a bit when removing the empty cup. But it has multiple options for your cup size (I think from 4 oz. to 12 oz.), and the blue lights in the water chamber and dispensing area are a nice touch. My elderly mother, however, is having trouble with the switch.... she has a hard time finding the place to open the top to insert the K-cup, and she doesn't see the big "BREW" button as it does not light up (really should light when ready). But we like the design of the machine better than Keurig, and the price was much better. the quality of the unit is good, its size is compact and fits well on ... December 20, 2015 I recently purchased the iCoffee brewer, the quality of the unit is good, its size is compact and fits well on the countertop. The controls are simple to use and I like the 5 different cup size settings. This unit brews a good cup of coffee, I'm not sure the "spin brew" makes that big of a difference in the taste over the others, and I do not notice a difference in the temp of the coffee over the Keurig. Overall I think it is a good purchase and its features are better than competitors at this price point. Perfect gift for a coffee lover September 30, 2015 This is the perfect gift for a coffee lover. My wife had wanted a machine that handled K-cups for a while but I was leery of the Keurig brand machines given a history of reliability problems from their reviews. The iCoffee machine seems to have earned its good reviews. It's attractive, well-designed, easy to use, and makes great coffee from what my wife says.The water reservoir seems like it could fracture if handled wrong when it's filled, but we're avoiding that by filling it without removing it from the machine.The height of the machine is perfect for fitting travel mugs under the dispenser after removing the base. Three Star Reviews: | 3% Makes GREAT coffee, until it stops working. So Sad. Please make coffee great again. October 5, 2017 Makes (or made) great coffee, better than my Keurig branded machine. Quite too. I would "love" it, but it stopped working (pumping water) after only about 40 days of use, 3 or 4 cups a day. I'm past the return window with Amazon. Not sure if I will bother with trying to deal directly with the manufacturer.I'm back to using my old Keurig, it's kinda loud, not fancy looking, but it still works after years of dependable service. Kind of disappointed. September 28, 2017 All the bells and whistles are great but it's a good thing they send one of those little basket things to put coffee in because the Kcups end up getting grounds in the coffee for some reason. Kind of a bummer. But the basket thing works good. I hope the gift last more than a little more than 1 year. "It's a Keeper" - Really? Didn't Last Long December 6, 2016 As I noted in my original review, I've used Keurig machines for years. Well, this machine was bought in Nov of 2016 and it lasted just long enough to convince me to trash our unused Keurigs that were still working. It then, this very morning after the trashing event, decided to stop working. I'm going to try a fix from a Youtube vid, and if it doesn't work then I'm going to trash this machine. Mourning the lose of my old Keurig. Should have worked on cleaning it instead of replacing it."I have the Kuerig machines. An older model and a Vue. This iCoffee machine is comparable to my older machine in that it does the same thing and requires the same attention. If I make a couple cups I have to refill the reservoir. It splashes the same so I'm not sure about it splashing less as claimed from another reviewer. And I have to turn it on as it doesn't have the clock feature that allows it to be set and forgotten, but it doesn't take long to warm up and it gets just as hot. I set up my cup and choose my flavor of the day as it does that. I like the lights and the view of the spinning disk at the top of the upper needle. It has interest that way. It's fun to watch. I recommend this machine and look forward to seeing what iCoffee comes up with next." There's good and bad October 16, 2016 I had this product for almost a year. There's good and bad. We love it when it works. The first one only lasted 2 months. Callled the number and they sent us a new one and we sent the old one back. The 2nd one lasted 7 months. Did the same thing called and they sent a new one . Two Star Reviews: | 7% Stopped working in less than 2 years. August 2, 2017 Purchased less than 2 years ago and it suddenly stopped brewing. Now it heats up and just sputters small amounts of water into the cup and some seems to be flowing back into the water reserve. Was good for 1 1/2 years, but not worth the price for such a short life span. So disappointed January 11, 2017 I brought this almost a year and at first I loved it. No problems with the coffeemaker at all. However about three months ago, it stopped brewing. Meaning I would get all the way to the part where I have to push the brewing button and nothing would happen. I tried it a couple different times and was getting extremely angry because I love the coffee maker. So the only way it will work for me is if I unplug it after I put the k-cup in and turn it back on. I am extremely disappointed and now I have to buy another coffeemaker. :( 90 days - and in the garbage. June 14, 2016 It's very pretty. Most of these are. Pretty blue lights and a nice cup of coffee, too. For exactly 91 days. Now, it's dead. The cute little spinning stick that stirs your K-cup still longs to stir but, alas, water is no longer being pumped through this very nice-looking machine. In fact, it's making enough annoying noises to earn it's next sleeping place. Adios, iCoffee...we hardly knew ye.Into the garbage. Back to Keurig.Caveat Emptor on this baby. I wanted to wait at least three months before I wrote a review. This is it.UPDATE: Plugged it back in and now it's working again....whoo-hooo....will add a star for now. Quiet and Quick (for a short while, anyway) December 17, 2015 Previously, I had purchased a Keurig-like coffee maker at a local department store. It didn't work all that well, but we hung in there. When I finally got fed up, I decided to read through customer reviews first. I'm so glad I did. the iCoffee Davinci Single Serve deserves its high ratings. It's incredibly quiet and brews quickly. I also like the reservoir, allowing us to brew about 4 individual cups of coffee before filling it up with water.UPDATE: It was brilliant for the first 4 months. Now, it is barely producing enough water for a number 8 cup when set to 12. I have followed all their recommendations on the website, but it has not improved. I'm very disappointed. It's 2-stars instead of 1, because those 4 months were great. It's only 2-stars because it's rather expensive for 4 months of coffee making. You can do better December 5, 2015 After having two Keurigs fail after only a few years of use, I decided to try something new. First, the good news. The graphics on this machine can be read more easily than on the Keurig. The controls are on the front and are just a better design than Keurig.. Also, the large water reservoir is helpful There's a light over your cup that allows you to see what;s going on with the brewing process. Unfortunately,the coffee just doesn't have the taste Keurig delivers. I'm not sure if the water temperature or the delivery (brewing) process is at fault, but it just doesn't deliver. There's also a less important but annoying feature. A blinking green light goes on until you remove the k-cup from the chamber.. The water also leaks from around the k-cup as coffee brews. That may partly explain why the coffee is weak. . Loved it until I didn't October 15, 2015 I have been using this product for about 6 weeks. The coffee is hot and tastes very good until the machine randomly will not brew a full cup of coffee or won't brew at all. I have followed cleaning instructions from the manual and from the on line videos produced by iCoffee. It gets expensive to waste k-cups and it is maddening when you want a cup of coffee and you can't get one. I will contact the maker to see about getting a warranty refund or replacement as it is past the Amazon return window. One Star Reviews: | 22% Loved it for a month! September 18, 2017 I received it onI received it Aug.3 and on Sept.18th it wouldn't pump anymore. My return by date was Sept. 3. It was nice when it worked, but I am glad I didn't rate it earlier. I was warned by other people's ratings but wanted it anyway. Learned a stern lesson! Now I have about 300 K cups I had purchased for it's use. (previously had nespresso with different cups). I am using that old one now and glad I didn't give it away. I still had some of those cups left so at least I got my morning fix. LOL Defective out of the box. August 9, 2017 Item dispenses way more water than what it is supposed to based upon the button settings. The first cup we tried spilled over until the button flashed to refill the water. We then measured the amount coming out for the next tries and the 10oz button gave off about 22oz of water each time we tested. Have returned for a refund. Really disappointed since we had an old dial-a-brew iCoffee model that we absolutely loved (after awful experience with the "K" brand) and were trying to replace but stores don't seem to be carrying that style any longer. Our order for the Mozart dial-a-brew model was cancelled by Amazon before shipping. ??? Guess we'll be trying another brand. 2017-07-29 - Just bought the Davinci model new and it ... July 29, 2017 2017-07-29 - Just bought the Davinci model new and it did not work. I can hear the pump running, but it does not draw water into the internal heating area. Based on other reviews, I see I'm not alone. I registered the warranty and submitted a ticket with their customer support - waiting for a response. Fortunately, Amazon refunded our money but we still had ... July 14, 2017 We bought this on a recommendation from a relative. We sent it back. Had it for 10 days and saw the spin work ONCE. The water temperature didn't seem as hot as it should be either but why pay for spin technology when it never worked. We tried with just hot water..kcup and the cup you put your own ground coffee in. No spin,,ever. Fortunately, Amazon refunded our money but we still had the hassle of mailing it back. I went back to Cuisinart. i Coffee means No Coffee June 6, 2017 It is a beautiful machine, too bad it doesn't work. If you are looking at an ICoffee machine, do your homework.. i didn't.Out of the box, unit would not pump water to reservoir, so no brew, no coffee. Doing my homework after the fact, i find that this is an ongoing issue with ICoffee machines over the last several years and apparently the company has little or no interest in fixing this problem. I find it interesting that there were many rave reviews about customer service and responsiveness, but then i guess, if you do something often enough you get really good at it. Five Stars September 21, 2016 This machine was working quite well and made great tasting coffee. Then ....... the first one stopped pumping water.....warranty replaced with another one which did the same thing.... number three is well on its way to the junk pile....
