Carpal tunnel nevermore!
July 17, 2017
I never thought there would be a day where I would resort to an "old man" trackball style mouse. I got this because A. I was so tired of wires and B. I have carpal tunnel to some degree so the repetitive moving of a normal mouse would kill my wrist and forearms and C. Moving my wrist around so much on my desk always made my wrist red and painful. They send you regular batteries with this and according to the software I had about 500 days of use left before I needed to change them, what a breath of fresh air from those wireless devices that you have to change every few weeks or a month! I absolutely love this device and I must say that it has definitely made me reconsider the "old man" theory of using a trackball mouse. They are much more comfortable to use and much more effortless. Make the change today! From all of my research this appears to be the best wireless one available on the market today.
Best thumb trackball out there...
May 9, 2017
This model/design has withstood the test of time.
I still have one of the original, logitech thumb trackball corded model with the red ball. Works great.

It's been around forever and is ergonomic, durable - tough as nails, I have dropped mine a few dozen times and it still works like a champ.
I have about 4 or 5 of these floating around my home and office. The logitech unifying software is great - makes pairing easy.
The range is pretty good, I can control my laptop connected to my TV about 10 ft. away. When the battery is low or there is interference this tends to drop out, however. It's too bad they are not rechargeable - but the single AA battery lasts a REALLY long time.

By far the BEST advantage of this product - and really any trackball - is not needing a motion surface.
This is great for bringing along with your laptop and not getting stuck with the dreaded built-in trackpad; and you won't have to worry about a mouse pad or surface area for a traditional mouse.
A great iteration of the "thumb-ball" mouse
April 7, 2017
The Good:
I grew up on the trackman stationary mouse concept since roughly two decades ago. Despite my attachment to wired peripheral devices, I have been very pleased with this iteration of the "thumb-ball" mouse. This is my gaming mouse and my everything mouse. The range was useable in the back of a 300 person classroom as a substitute clicker for a powerpoint presentation. With five separate buttons it fulfills all of my needs. I have stacked other wireless peripherals with little issue. One non-rechargeable Duracell AA battery lasts for enough months that I can't remember the last time I changed it.

The not as good:
Even at $27, this is a relatively expensive piece of equipment (could buy wireless K/M combo for that price). For new customers, the big advantage of this mouse is you can use it on your leg without issue if need be (like at an airport). However, the mouse is size-able and there is a learning curve for those who didn't grow up with it. If others want to use your desktop, this mouse can be a bit awkward...and for that reason if you gotta keep a spare "normal" mouse why would you buy this guy in the first place. Plus, unlike the modern laser/optical mice, you will need to take a few seconds to clean the trackball every now and then. Of the three Trackballs I own, only one of them is partially functional due to the left mouse button and some erratic pairing behavior. The three-year warranty allowed for a free replacement with the least headache of any computer peripheral company.

Verdict:
The "thumb-ball mice" will always have a place in my wallet. I'm very glad that this wireless version is just as rugged and user-friendly as I remember. Furthermore, the wireless capability has actually increased its functionality in my life and extended it to the modern age, where tangled wires have become less of a tolerable occurrence. Hopefully the clientele, old and new, will keep this technology alive for years to come.
Great product that can be made even greater with an angled stand
November 10, 2016
I've been a trackball user since the days before MP3s. This is my current favorite model. Affordable, reliable, cordless, and nicely shaped. I was using it so much that my arm started hurting until I realized I was using it at the wrong angle. I do 3d printing and designed a stand to make it even better and more ergonomic. I would highly recommend this product especially with a padded rest and angled stand like the one I made. You can find my stand at Thingiverse. [...] and make it yourself if you have a 3d printer. With or without the stand, this trackball is a great value.
A Thumb Trackballer
March 9, 2016
There are enough reviews here espousing the greatness of the M570 from Logitech, so I'm just going to briefly describe my experience.

I've had mine since 2010 and have been using it every day at work. I've found that, for productivity, it beats a mouse hands down. Over the years I have had absolutely no issues with this wireless trackball and it continues to perform flawlessly. The ball tracks smoothly and evenly. But as others have mentioned, you do have to give it a cleaning every month or so as the bearings tend to trap and accumulate gunk over time. The ball can also attract and have stuck to it the errant hair strand or lint glob that will cause the movement to feel gritty or stick and skip. It is easy to clean though. Pop out the ball, give the bearing a good wiping with a microfibre cloth (or other lint free cloth) and likewise with the ball, pop the ball back in and you're golden. I've probably changed the battery twice. The size is just about right for my hand (about 8.5 inches around at the knucles) and the contours felt natural from day one with my fingers aligning right in the groves, over the buttons, and my thumb placed just right on the ball.

I've ordered a second M570 to use with my tablet PC (MSI WindPad 110W). I'm currently using a Kingston Orbit. I tried the Orbit because it was smaller than the M570 (not by much though ... those product pictures sure are deceptive). But, I just cannot get used to the position of the trackball on the Orbit. I guess I'm a thumb guy and not a finger trackballer!

2017/03/17: Logitech, if you're reading any of this at all, please consider a G version of this! If the G900 Chaos can be wireless, then we can have a G version trackball. No need to deviate too much from the design, but a free-scrolling middle button, some more programmable buttons, a gaming sensor, a spiffy RGB LED layout to sync with the rest of the G stuff, even a removable cord for charging ... I'd go for that!

Great keyboard and mouse pair
September 21, 2017
I absolutely love this wireless keyboard. I transcribe a lot so I'm constantly typing and I needed something more comfortable than the keyboard of my Lenovo Yoga Pro. The wrist rest is wonderful, I like the kick stands to elevate the top, the Windows media functions are great shortcuts (no Apple), and the wave design of the keys are excellent and have a natural feel/shape for your hands. The keys aren't crazy loud with obnoxious tapping but it gives the nice keyboard sound I like. I bought a used set and they were in great condition. Mouse has a nice feel, good side grips, love the "back" and "forward" buttons for web browsing. Both keyboard and mouse have an automated off timer so it doesn't drain the battery. Easy to set up with the sleek USB, doesn't get in the way of anything. Lastly, fairly light so I actually bring it with me places. Highly recommend it.
Must buy for IT professionals. Save your palms and fingers with this keyboard.
September 4, 2017
I am an IT professional and so need good keyboards for a living :-). Using this keyboard gives a great feeling. Since we need to save hour hands for more work, I decided to go one up to this keyboard and mouse from other Logitech cheaper alternatives. 99% satisfied.. 2 minor (could be just me) irritation. The Delete key is big and sometimes I could confuse it with Enter key. The End key is also a little away from where I am used to reaching out for. So now I am alert when using the End key, and when I switch to my office keyboard in the office. The second is the soft clicking sound of keys.... it could be the reason why the keys are so fantastic.. but I wish they could be more silent
Great wireless keyboard and mouse!
March 10, 2017
I had an ergonomic wireless keyboard and mouse setup from Microsoft that I used for several years. I loved it - could use it in my lap, on my standing desk, or just at my desk without having to wrestle with cables. Could easily plug it into other computers and devices as needed. Felt great on my wrists, the works. However, in a relatively short time, the mouse failed. I replaced it with another identrical MS mouse. THAT one failed pretty quickly too. Recently, the MS keyboard started to fail and act weird and go through batteries. I've always loved Logitech peripherals so I decided it was time to replace the whole setup. I was not disappointed! This keyboard is very comfortable, works great, and has all the specialty keys that my old setup had and more. The number pad is great, and unlike my previous keyboard, this one has just the right amount of mechanical feel and sound. The mouse is comfortable in my hand and has multiple extra buttons and the side/click feature on the scroll wheel. Also, the transmitter is MUCH smaller and more discrete and seems to have a better range. The rated battery life is very long, measure in years as opposed to a couple months or weeks which is what I was suffering with before.Very happy with this purchase.
Very Good
January 2, 2017
Excellent keyboard. Smooth push with just the right amount of resistance. The spacing seems to be just right, and the ergonomics of the keyboard have a noticeable relief on your wrists when used for extended periods. The only question and common complaint is the durability and longevity of this keyboard. I'm hoping it'll hold up, but until then, I like it. This is one of Logitech's relatively older designs so I'm more confident in it's quality.I don't care too much for the mouse, but it does a decent job as a wireless mouse. Feels comfortable, weight isn't too light, but the tracking is mediocre at best.
though I like my Logitech K360 and other Logitech mice
January 30, 2016
I decided to use bigger keyboard and mice at home, though I like my Logitech K360 and other Logitech mice.Pros:1. well-designed keyboard. The palm cushion is a little soft which makes you wrist feel comfortable when you are not typing. It may take some time to get used to the gradual wave-shaped contour, but I think it's good too.2. 18 programable keys.3. The size of M510 mice is exactly what I look for. Mouse Dimensions (height x width x depth): 2.56 in (65 mm) x 4.72 in (120 mm) x 1.61 in (41 mm)4. Battery life is long. According to Logitech, the keyboard has 3-year battery life, and the mouse has two years. Both of them use 2 AA batteris.Cons:1. No Caps-lock light in the keyboard.2. Home/End/Delete/PageUp/PageDown key layout is not good. I often press the bigger Delete key when I tend to click the End Key.3. The Logitech SetPoint software (6.67) does not support M510 mouse. I can pair my other Logitech devices in the Unifying Software and manage all of them in SetPoint, but M510 is an exception. I had to download another software Logitech Options to manage M510.
Great value - Love this keyboard.
January 27, 2015
These have worked very well for me. I have 3 sets and haven't had a problem on any of them yet. Volume on your keyboard is always a plus and there are the features I don't use that exist...flexibility is always a plus. The keyboard isn't too cumbersome. The keys seem soft to the stroke. The feel even seems soft and it is padded at the wrist's rest. The keyboard's value is very good, in my experience, for what you get. Every time I look for an alternative, the marriage of price and quality (and added experience) prevail with this. I purchased my first one at least a couple of yeas ago and never have I needed a battery replacement, like those of yesteryear. They also have a particularly nice range; alas, if you could only usefully see your monitor at that range (mine are big, but...); I suppose if I was texting someone from 12 feet away (kitchen, for example) and I used my ctrl-mousewheel to change the zoom it could come in handy. But, would I want to? In a more practical light, I like that I'm not constantly wrapping myself around the cords...I have no cords to move to clean...and, most importantly, there is no cord for a kitty to chew through. These are huge pluses for this keyboard all around.

this was the only item i recibe correct of the order of 3 item i made the mouse case looks nice, it just to bad that the bug zapper i recibe by amazon insted of my mouse doesn't fit
Just get it
September 23, 2017
I have three of these trackballs. If you've never had one, you need a case for it. The ball likes to fall out and disappear. This case fits perfectly. There is no place for the usb adapter but there is a place to put that inside the battery compartment of the trackball (in case you weren't paying attention when you bought it). These trackballs are great, I use them in several rooms and carry one around sometimes, hence the case purchase. If you have an m570 -- get the case. It's far better than having to buy marbles all the time. A good drop on the wrong surface will also destroy the marble.

Better than expected. Never thought I'd ever like it..
August 7, 2017
The lazy part of me is really beginning to enjoy this trackball mouse. Never in my life have I every considered getting a trackball mouse. Be it as it may, the former Logitech M505 isn't left clicking as well as it used to; therefore, the trackball is a much needed replacement. Not moving my hand back and forth as well as speeding onto my secondary monitor has been a Godsend. After a single week of using it for the first time in my life, I am still adjusting to minute movements over URL links (small fonts..). My first use was for 8 hours without going back to my old mouse. I do wish the mouse was larger since my nearly 6' height also yields larger than average hands..Another small annoyance is that the ball seems to stick ever-so-slightly when it it sits for a while. Since keyboard shortcuts are primarily used, the trackball mouse tends to sit idle for most of the time; therefore, it sticks nearly every time I reach for the mouse again.
and it is excellent compared with a mouse
May 29, 2017
I have been using a Logitech trackball of this shape for years, and it is excellent compared with a mouse. The battery life is excellent and I can't even remember when I replaced it last. The three points on which the ball rests become dirty regularly, but are easily cleaned by removing the ball. The left mouse button on mine has probably worn out, and now double-clicks when I click it once, or sometimes doesn't click at all. This is why I'm here on Amazon looking at getting another, and only giving 4 stars. I was hoping to find a newer model, but this will have to do.

Warranty is for 3 years, and I don't know if I'm covered. The price here is much less than listed on the Logitech site, so not a big deal to pay for a new one. I know Logitech tests their products rigorously, but I doubt it will last too much longer than 5 years. The buttons are clearly the only part that is subject to wear and only one needs to fail requiring a replacement. I hope next time I need one there is an improved version with new button design.
Better alternative than a mouse
May 24, 2017
Good pointer device. I really like the wireless capability, allowing you to place it anywhere that's best suited for your workspace which is a real plus when working in a small space and raking a mouse around a desktop is not practical. I also like the natural position of the hand when using it. Battery life is very good when I remember to turn it off before I leave the office for the day/weekend. The battery indicating light on the top will let you know when the battery strength is getting low, alerting you to the fact you need to change it. The range of the trackball is good but I haven't tested it to find the limit. It works very well in the immediate vicinity of my laptop. The only area I would like to see changed is the ability to remove and clean the thumb ball. It feels, from time to time, the rolling elements might be getting dirty and would benefit from cleaning but there's no easy or good way to get to that area. Earlier corded models had a quarter turn bezel that kept the ball in place but could be removed for cleaning. I wish they still had that feature.
I am officially a trackball convert!
August 7, 2016
So far, so good. This was my first time working with a trackball and I didn't know if I would like it. I have been experiencing some pain in my wrist from the usage of mice while working and wanted a mouse that I didn't need to move about. This does the job quite well. I enjoy the size of it and I can rest my entire palm on it and work without worrying about accidentally moving the cursor across the screen when I shuffle about in my chair. It is very stable and doesn't wake my computer when my children bump up against my desk - something that used to happen all the time at my home office. It fits my hand and I took to the trackball concept very quickly. It took about 2 minutes to get used to it and I believe I'm hooked! I placed it on my old mouse pad and that has made using it easier since my wrist would otherwise be resting on the bare desk - which isn't terrible for short periods of work but 8 hours on a piece of solid wood and it starts to feel uncomfortable. I took one star away because the left click button seems to need an extra bit of push to maintain drag and drop operations. I noticed that if I try to quickly perform the motion the button releases mid swing and it has caused me to accidentally place files in the wrong directories when moving them. Other than that, a great product so far and I will be picking another one for the work office.
With a little help it is a GREAT solution for carpal tunnel and wrist pain
December 28, 2014
It's a good option for people with carpal tunnel such as myself and looking for a more ergonomic option. If it had a better angle out-of-the-box I'd give it 5 stars, however with a little propping it can be perfect, see below. Tips:1. To make it 10x more ergonomic, place a wedge with a 30 degree incline under it to make it the most natural wrist angle and keep you from resting any weight on the nerves in your wrist. Experiment with different angles to find the best for you personally. I trimmed a chunk of stiff foam from some laptop packaging material, see the attached photos. This has been a HUGE benefit for my wrists and in combination with other ergonomic tweaks to my setup and regular stretching and soft tissue work has left me pain-free for some time now.2. You'll need to clean the dust and lint from the rollers and optical sensor under the ball once a week, it takes seconds but will keep the trackball nice and responsive.

About as good as it gets.
August 30, 2017
The batteries don't seem to last as long as I'd like, but to be wire-free, it's well worth it. If your keys start sticking or repeating themselves on the screen, just replace the batteries, and it's fine again. It's very comfortable to use. I'd probably buy it again. Actually, I found a couple more after I got this one, on clearance at Walmart, and have switched them out on other computers that I use, but unless you find them on clearance, Amazon seems to have the best price I've found.
Nice to connect to a single USB; stock up on AA batteries
August 16, 2017
It's great to have both your keyboard and mouse connect to the same USB bluetooth insert so you're not taking up all your outlets. However, both items go through batteries fairly quickly (then again, I almost never turn them off), so be prepared to stock up. They keyboard has a manually-activated battery indicator (fn + F11), but it just lights up the battery symbol without actually telling you how much battery power you have remaining.Although I didn't buy this package for keyboard quietness, I will say that I am apparently a loud typer and this doesn't quiet anything down.
A new toy, works so far.
June 23, 2017
Installation is simple, jus plug in the unifying receiver and power on the PC.It is a hassle to turn off both keyboard & mouse after use. Since I only use PC for about 15 minutes a day and I power off the PC afterward, do I need to do this since it claims the batteries will last up to 2 years. There is indeed some unstableness at the center of the keyboard. I will apply felt underneath as suggested by another reviewer. Not use to the Contoured laser mouse since this is the first time I purchase this type of mouse.I may update after a month to see how it goes.
Comfortable But Noisy
December 10, 2016
I just received the Logitech MK550. I am using it with an Asus Zenbook laptop running Windows 8.1, and with a Logitech trackball (not the mouse that came with the keyboard).Setup: The User Guide/Manual/Instructions were not included, which was frustrating. But I was able to find them easily enough on the Logitech website. More frustrating was the fact that, although Logitech's advertising for their "Unifying" hardware makes it seem that you should be able to "plug and play" multiple Unifying-compatible devices as easily as one device, this is not the case. The Logitech website informs you that you need to download software to connect multiple devices, and provides a link to a page with these downloads. (Word to the wise: You have to scroll down the page to find these downloads. I have my screen blown up to accommodate my eyesight, and the first half of the page tells you that there is no software needed for the MK550.) Then you download two different executable files and install them. *Now* you can pair multiple devices! I also had to add an extension to Google Chrome (per the instructions from Logitech's site) to "enable smooth scrolling."Use: The layout of the keys allows me to type much faster and with more accuracy than I could do with my laptop keyboard, so I am very happy about that. My wrists are in a much more carpal-friendly position, too. The feel and sound of the keys, however, are both like cheap plastic, and the "cushioned" wrist rest seems to have 1-2mm of spongy stuff layered over a rock. I can live with these limitations, though, because this keyboard is such a huge improvement over using the keyboard on my laptop. Still...I can tell that the clacking sound of the keys is going to get on my nerves, and I'm glad I'm not using this keyboard around other people. If someone were using this keyboard around me, I would probably need to wear headphones (but then I'm easily distracted)."Wave" design: I love the design. It is less extreme than the "super-ergonomic" keyboards on which your hands are on opposite sides of a small mountain, but more carpal-friendly than the standard flat keyboard.Tiny, petty gripe: No light on the Caps Lock key.On the whole, I would say that this keyboard is worth the money if you want something easier on your wrists than a standard keyboard and you (and anyone who works in your vicinity) can tolerate the plastic-y clacking of the keys!
Initial frustration, but works well now...
April 1, 2016
I like the keyboard. I don't use all the extra shortcut buttons, but I like the keyboard. I got it to replace an older similarly curved microsoft combo set because the keys of that keyboard were slowly giving out one by one. I didn't want the full ergonomic split in the middle, so this seemed like an appropriate option. And it was especially appealing because it presented the option to link a wireless trackball mouse to the same USB receiver, should I get one like the Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball (which I did). Given the price, I didn't expect that the combo would be the most high-end piece of technology, but I was hopeful it would work and not fall apart quickly. With those expectations in mind, I would like to give it 5 stars, but there was one major issue...As I got it setup, the positives of the combo were readily apparent:- It's a comfortable keyboard. Maybe it is because I was already using one of a similar design, but I also enjoy/appreciate the pad along the bottom below the spacebar to rest my wrists on (which my old one did not have). The pad does collect some dust, but only if you let things get dusty.- The mouse works as expected, and is fairly comfortable as well. And while I haven't really used the extra preset keys on the keyboard, I have used the added buttons on the mouse more and more. I also really like that I can take the mouse and USB receiver and connect it to my Chromebook from time to time.- As I mentioned before, I have also purchased the Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball to link with the usb receiver and use in combination with the keyboard. I had to unlink the mouse that comes with the combo from the USB receiver, then add the trackball, and ultimately I got it to work as I wanted (both working on the same USB port).- I like having the option of the extra preset shortcut keys, maybe I will use them someday. The one issue with the combo, was a major one.... The keyboard and mouse did not work correctly initially. The mouse would jump around randomly and trying to type even the simplest of emails (like to Logitech tech support) was oh-so frustrating. It appeared to be an interference issue, but given that the USB receiver was plugged in to the back of my desktop PC immediately next to the desk I was attempting to type on (less than 5 feet away), that was simply not acceptable as it was advertised to work up to 30 feet away. After a few frustratingly repetitive conversations with tech support as they worked to determine the issue, they eventually agreed it wasn't working correctly and sent me a new setup. Sometimes flawed products are shipped I suppose...Since the new setup has arrived, I've been skeptical of it (I've kept most of the packaging), but it seems to work decently as I don't have significant interference issues. But I am not too certain of the 30 foot/10 meter range. The room I use it in is about 18 feet long, and I will occasionally notice small hiccups if I use it near that distance. But the vast majority of my use occurs within the 5 to 10 foot range for me, so it's not a big deal for me. I was frustrated for 2+ weeks, but 3+ months since then have been good... hoping for more good times.I'll also add that if you want to connect something like the M570 Wireless Trackball, you will need to have an extra wired mouse to do the installation. This is because you have to unlink the mouse that comes with the combo, then link the Trackball afterwards, and to do so you need a 3rd wired mouse (I couldn't find a way with only keyboard commands, and Tech Support didn't know of one either). This is a little annoying, but I suppose it makes sense and is only a small annoyance in the grand scheme of things. One bonus I didn't expect though is that since the Trackball comes with its own USB receiver, once I unlinked it from the Trackball, I then linked it to the mouse from the combo and now use that with my Chromebook while I use the Trackball and keyboard with my PC.And, like everyone else I imagine, I was also disappointed to read about the security issues with these wireless devices, so you should probably keep in mind the type of environment it will be used in.
Mixed feelings for this product
January 13, 2013
The keyboard is about a foot from the tower case and the mouse about 2 feet. Operation was erratic with the sending unit plugged into the back of the case though they work just fine plugged into the front. Regarding the ergonomics, there are both plusses and minuses:Plus: sculpting the keys works nicelyMinus: the keys are too close together and the curve in adequate to eliminate the need to place my hands at an awkward angle. The Microsoft keyboard is still the best in this respect except that their wireless option works so poorly. I'll probably keep using the mouse and just box the key board away and go back to my wired MS keyboard.

Awkward Use of Thumb
September 29, 2017
I purchased this mouse because of the reviews. I work in IT as a programmer and have issues with carpal tunnel syndrome due to repetitive motion and thought this would be a great help for that. However, I am returning the mouse because it just doesn't allow for fine detail movement using your thumb on the trackball. The scroll wheel and mouse buttons are fine. The feel is good under your palm, but it is very awkward to scroll with your thumb and try to hold down the buttons to capture the edges of screens and drag and drop etc. Maybe my thumb dexterity just isn't fine tuned enough but it's just not functional enough to be fast and I need to be fast in my job. I did download the management software from Logitech for the scroll ball mouse setup and tried several different settings but still not clean enough to be my everyday use for work mouse.
Mouse Works Fine but Software Connection Utilities are a Joke!
August 12, 2017
I have always liked the Logitech trackball and I like this one as well. It's basically the same as the T-BB18 trackball with some extras. The reason I only give it 3 stars is the connection utilities - in a word they suck! Oh, it eventually connects itself but it's a mystery to me whether the software that you download from Logitech has anything to do with it or not.The utility tells you it does not see any device and then, magically, it starts working even though the software still says it can't find a device.Pathetic! As long as the PC has been around you would think these companies could get it right at least once but it appears that users are doomed to be tortured for some years to come.
Only consider this if you can't use a normal mouse - it is much more difficult to use.
July 21, 2017
The quality and performance of the mouse is fine but the concept is a bit baffling. I bought it impulsively, based on the incredible reviews, thinking it must be great if that many people love it. However even after investing a good amount of time to try to acclimate to this, I find it infinitely more difficult to use than a normal mouse. It requires quite intense focus and fine motor skills to operate the track ball with your thumb - I find it tiring to use for that reason. Unless you have physical disabilities that make a normal mouse difficult or impossible to use, I can not see any value in this. I gave it 3 stars because I can't knock the product itself, just the concept, which still has value to people with disabilities.
Something is wrong with the design of this one...
June 24, 2017
I have a great deal of difficulty keeping this one connected to the Universal adapter, which is a problem I've never had with Logitech devices. I ordered a second one, thinking that perhaps the first was defective, and have had the same problem with both. If it doesn't have a direct line of sight to the universal adapter, or there is pretty much anything (like a coffee cup) between them, it works for awhile and then randomly stops until you pick it up and let it connect again. I will rearrange my desk to accommodate, but I've NEVER had to do that with any other Logitech device, and I use the brand almost exclusively. That means I also have multiple adapters available...I tried swapping them out, but it didn't make a difference, so it's not the adapter. I have the same problem at the office, with a different environment, different placement and a different model of keyboard sharing the connection, so it's not interference from other devices. The ONLY commonality is that the trackball sits lower than the dock and below the desktop, as it should. As soon as I put it up on the desktop it works fine. (My chiropractor loves this solution.). Both keyboards sit in the same position and don't have that problem, nor do other Logitech mice I own. It's THIS model.
Great when it works
May 4, 2017
I love the shape and ergonomic. It really helps with the hands when you work in an office all day. However, mine made it about one year then started acting up. I'd temporarily lose connection then have to shut it off and turn it on multiple times to reconnect. It was a real pain in the neck but I thought it was the computer for a while until I got a new computer. This happened more frequently and the batteries had shorter life spans. Then recently it died around 2 years. I may have just had a bad apple. My coworker has one that feels a little better and more refined then the one I had.i may try to get another one since I don't feel like dealing with a wired mouse.
... been a full month now and I am not happy at all
March 27, 2017
It's been a full month now and I am not happy at all. I've used Logitech products for literally years with nary an issue until now. I've done a lot of online research and tried numerous remedies all without success. What's the issue? The scroll speed throttles back to a crawl after switching tabs or performing other tasks. Interestingly I found similar complaints with various mice going back to 2005! This is also my first wireless. My old Logitech wired Marble mouse never exhibited this issue. So regrettably this is being thrown in a drawer as having to constantly reset the scroll function is something I flat am unwilling to put up with. Going back to a gaming mouse. FWIW my best hand device experience was with the fabeled Microsoft Trackball Explorer that served me well for over a decade. Like many others I still wish it were readily available.Addendum: I'm using Win 7 Home Premium - 64 bit SP1

Great value, truly ergonomic.
September 6, 2017
Pros: truly ergonomic and great value for the price. Extremely comfortable hand position and palm cushion. ANd decent standard mouse: I would trade this mouse for the baseball size "ergonomic" Microsoft mouse that comes with its ergonomic keyboard.Cons: The only reason I returned it because it is loud (not louder than) like standard keyboards. I plan to use it during audio conferences and the noise would be distracting. My brother's keyboard's letters wore off within a year with regular office use.
Close, but Logitech could produce so much better.
January 3, 2017
Overall a good product. Layout is well designed construction adequate. Well packaged for shipping. Where it falls short is the feel of the actual keys themselves. It just does not have a solid, smooth, top shelf feel or sound. The mouse faces similar criticism. The wheel and click just does not feel like they used the highest grade parts IMHO. Also, the form of the mouse is tiny! Not overly ergo either. Microsoft keyboards and mice back in the day were a step above, again, IMHO. Come on Logitech, the field is smaller now, won't you produce market leading products instead of the status quo??? This fan knows you can. I look forward to it.
Logitech isn't what it used to be
October 25, 2016
This current version of the combo is not as high quality as the older version (one of which I still use today). Glossy pieces are dull. Keyboard keys and function/assignable buttons have a cheaper feel/look to them. The letters on the keys look like stickers. And under the right angle of ceiling light, the stickers produce a glare that makes it difficult to make out the letter on the key. The mouse also has a cheaper feel/look than the previous versions.Logitech up to now has offered high quality peripherals but looks like those days are behind them. Three stars because it actually works.
HEY Logitech! READ THIS.
April 9, 2016
I generally only buy Logitech when I get third-party stuff because I trust the quality, and this keyboard is really good EXCEPT for one shocking problem. The keyboard sags in the center when resting your palms and typing. It makes this ANNOYING creaking sound that will drive you crazy. The good news is that I fixed it by applying some felt “feet” under the center where is sags (see pic). Very easy, but WTF!!! Come on Logitech, are you guys sleeping at your work stations?!
NOT SURE ABOUT THIS KEYBOARD
March 1, 2016
For years I used a Logitech WAVE keyboard AND LOVED IT BUT IT WAS A WIRED KEYBOARD. I couldn't find another wired one ANYWHERE for some reason, so I chose to try this one. The first thing I noticed was the CAPS LOCK and NUM LOCK lights beneath the keypad are no longer there, they're not on the keyboard anywhere. I can get use to that I guess. Second thing is not impressive... I do data entry for my business and after only an hour of using this keyboard I can tell it does not do well keeping up with my typing. I have to wait because it 'sticks' or 'delays' sometimes, and often by 6-10 keystrokes so I end up making errors that I have to go back to fix. Are these 'pauses' a Bluetooth norm??? During a busy work season, I'm not sure this will suffice because it'll drive me crazy. Would love to return it but this is the only WAVE available out there now! WHY??? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WIRED ONE???
Keyboard stopped working just after a year of use
November 22, 2015
I used the mouse and keyboard combo daily for a little over a year. About a week and a half ago, the mouse battery got low, so I replaced the batteries in it without any issues. A few days later, the battery indicator on the keyboard started to flash between green and red. I tried changing the batteries several times, making sure they were new/fully charged. Nothing worked, and the keyboard was no longer functional. After doing some research, it sounds like this is a hardware issue with the keyboard that requires a replacement, and many others have had the same problem before. I submitted a warranty claim with Logitech (after trying all sorts of fixes and tests), and have yet to hear back over a week later (their confirmation of receiving my submission said they have a high volume of calls and emails right now). The mouse still works fine, which is why I'm still giving three stars, but I ultimately went and got a new keyboard (Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000, which I'm very happy with) because I couldn't go several weeks while waiting for a replacement (assuming I get one). Will try to remember to update this post once I hear back from Logitech about getting a replacement.

I hate using it
August 5, 2017
I bought this mouse to solve the problem I had with my bedroom HTPC and watching TV or surfing the web having to drag a optical mouse over my sheets. Well, I never got used to this ball mouse, I hate using it, and it takes me forever to complete simple tasks, on top of that, it is to big, and has pretty bad ergonomics, you place your hand over it, and have to be guessing which button is the right hand click and which one is the left. I didn't return it cause I was a lil lazy to do the whole repacking, but definitely it is now another unused item filling up my drawers.
It worked fine for a few months
August 2, 2017
It worked fine for a few months, good response, nice weight and feel. The problem I have now is after just a few months the USB connector in my computer just randomly stops detecting it. I have tried the mouse in two different computer in a total of 6 different USB ports. It will work for awhile then randomly just drop the connection. The longer I use the mouse the more and more it just drops out detection and gets harder for me to find a connection. I am going to have to buy a new wireless mouse now and put this one in the trash.Of course i also searched the web for solutions but wasn't able to get anything to work and also tried replacing the batter.
One year later.... trackball isn't cooperating
June 26, 2017
I've had this mouse for just under a year (11.5 months) and it was amazing in the beginning. My wrist stopped hurting. I was able to work longer and be more productive. The trackball took some getting used to, but once I did, I no longer had to even think about it.ONE YEAR LATER: It still looks brand new. No wear and tear, no scratches or fading. However, the trackball has stopped tracking. Okay, well, not exactly. I have to use my thumb and pointer finger to move it. It will track to the right as normal, but to go up, down, or to the left, I have to use 2 fingers. Using just the thumb will move the cursor a fraction of an inch with each full rotation of the trackball. The battery is brand new, so that's not the issue. Settings are fine since it moves to the right just fine. Using 2 fingers slows me way down and is creating pains up my arm after a day at work. So, I'm replacing it.If you're okay with replacing your mouse every year, then buy this one. If you're like me and expect them to last a bit longer, look for something else.
Problems with Connectivity and Problems with Roller Ball
January 23, 2017
I have purchased two of these, one I use on my home computer and the other I use to control my NAS storage connected to my TV. both devices have a very hard time connecting and staying connected. I often have a problem where the mouse / roller ball will not function....the track wheel & mouse buttons still function, but the cursor will not move...this forces me to unplug & replug in the usb dongle, which usually fixes the problem. but this normally happens about once every day, so it's just an extra step and can be frustrating at time as the product is not working as seamlessly as I had hoped. besides that issue it's a very nice mouse!
Amazing Function and Flexibility, Quality Over Time Less Than Stunning
October 1, 2016
UPSIDE: Amazingly easy to get used to, just takes maybe a day to re-adjust your way of thinking from a "normal" mouse and feels very natural in the hand. The main reason that I buy these is that they work unparalleled in small spaces. I use one on my home desk because I often clutter it with work or study materials, and this frees up a surprising amount of space, more than you would think, when overall the mouse itself need not move except to adjust for hand and wrist comfort. It also has the benefit of not being limited by the surface you are on, I can easily sit this on my couch next to me and connect it to my laptop, even the modern high quality laser mouse is not capable of doing this reliably on most surfaces. For that same reason I also use it for the media server and 2nd small computer that I have directly connected to my TV. The function is top quality, the reliability and quality however leave something to be desired, addressed below.DOWNSIDE: I have owned what will be 3 total of these so far. One for work, one for home, one for my girlfriend at home. For some reason these seem to have more problems than any other. I replaced my one at work finally with a traditional mouse as the trackball would act weird however the left click finally stopped working. I am about to order yet another to replace mine at home as the trackball will work fine, then almost stop moving or move erratically. I often have to clean it out and/or spin the ball at high speed to get it to re-register the movement, however this has become a daily thing now. I have probably 5 other different types of mouse from Logitech even up to and including one that is 5 years old and works fine however, those are all laser, not trackball. For some reason these trackball ones seem to show far more wear and tear than the others. I will be purchasing my 4th and final one at least from Logitech and, if that one begins to have the same issues as well I will try another manufacturer.
Relieved hand/wrist pain
August 11, 2014
I was having pain at the base of my palm, just above my wrist, when using the mouse for several hours at work. I've been using the M570 for about 2 weeks and haven't had any pain. Trackball is very smooth and easy to use.(3/21/17 Update) I continue to be able to use this trackball all day without any wrist pain. You must keep the ball very clean or you will get jerky mouse pointer movements. However, popping the ball out to clean it and the rollers in the main unit is very easy.I would continue to give the product 5 stars. Logitech support is another story, this is why I'm lowing my rating to 2 stars. After about 15 months of usage, the trackball would no longer work. The battery led would just flicker red. Changing batteries did not help. Fortunately the M570 carries a 3 year warranty, but the warranty process has been extremely painful and frustrating.3/11 - M570 dies, so I go online and fill out an RMA request. Provided shipping address, PN, SN, proof of purchase and details of troubleshooting steps that I had taken.3/14 - Receive email from Logitech support saying that based on my troubleshooting, they believe the trackball is defective and will send me a replacement, but first they need shipping address, PN, SN, proof of purchase (all of which they already have). I respond within 15 minutes providing all the information (again) they requested.3/15 - Go online and see that no update has been made to my case, so I seen a message requesting an update. Never receive any update.3/16 - Call support to request an update. They say that they require a photo of the SN before they can process a replacement. Not a problem, but why didn't they ask for that originally. I provide a photo of the SN.3/17(AM) - Contact support via live chat to request an update. They've received my photo and will process a request to have a replacement sent, say that a replacement should ship today.3/17(PM) - Call support to request an update. A request for replacement has been submitted, but they are awaiting on approval from a supervisor. I ask if they know when this will happen and am told that they will ask supervisor to approve as soon as possible.3/20 - Call support to request an update. I'm told that my request for replacement is still awaiting a supervisor's approval. After about a 10 minute wait, I'm told that my request for replacement has been approved and I'm told that a replacement should ship in 2-3 days and expect it to arrive in 7-10 business days.So if all goes well, it will only take contacting Logitech support 7 times and 23 days to receive a replacement trackball.

I've used hundreds of mouses in my career, by far this is the worst one.
September 11, 2017
I don't write a lot of reviews and I was looking forward to this mouse/keyboard combo vs. the cheap set that came with my Dell. First off, this is by far the worst mouse that I have ever used, EVER! It doesn't track very well, is jumpy as hell, and is basically useless. I literally got so fed up with it I just chucked it out the window of my office. I tried every support solution I could find, move the receiver, try different mouse settings, download the latest Logitech software...none of it worked. The mouse worked as if it was in a time loop, you'd move it left, it would go halfway across the screen, then jump back to where you started. I have owned a lot of mice in my day, including cheap generic ones that cost less than $5 and they all worked better than the mouse that comes with this garbage, and I've never had to troubleshoot a mouse before, never. I literally switched back to using my nearly 10 year old Microsoft Wireless 5000 mouse with its giant USB receiver since a 10 year old mouse works better than a brand new Logitech mouse. As for the keyboard, I really like the functionality on it, the wave and comfort design. However, you have to press the keys hard and far to get them to respond and they feel and sound cheap vs. other keyboards I've used. Combine this with the lousy mouse and I really don't think this is a great set. I might have to go dig the mouse out of the bushes and send this back.
I like the design of this board
July 31, 2016
i',m one of those kind of people that if I miss a turn, I don't double back. I like the design of this board, I like having an extra port opened up because two go into one but there are issues. I can not use the @ symbol without typing a 2 first and then deleting it. Only then will that symbol work. The same goes for the closed parenthesis right bracket. It also skips and puts spaces in between my words which word spell forces you to fix manually or you will have two misspelled words. I will not be sending it back although it was a big purchase for me because I am miles away from the post office and can not afford to pay return postage. I see all the other reviews and they don't seem to be suffering the same problem as me, but the @ symbol is essential for email addresses and it is a pain having to type the number 2 first and then deleting it. The thing I've discovered about Logitech is that sometimes you win on their products and sometimes it is very disappointing.
Elevation changes require re-learning how to type, which isn't worth it
December 15, 2015
I'm a programmer, sysadmin, and project manager. I'm typing all day, every day. I've also been typing for over 24 years now. In many ways I like trying new things. Not in this one.I HATED the different elevations of the keys. A LOT. It may not be clearly visible from the photos, but where your middle fingers go, the keys are lower than there your index and little fingers go. When your fingers are already long enough to reach the keys and your muscle memory of over 20 years already knows where the keys *should* be, this keyboard is maddening.I'd be alright with it if there was some kind of global movement to change keyboards to the elevation so that changes to my muscle memory would be universally applicable in this new ergonomic world. That's not the case though. You'd have to purchase this exact keyboard for every workstation at which you were ever to sit and guarantee to never use a laptop again in order for this alteration of muscle memory to be of benefit. Hence, I don't see it's usefulness. The quality seemed fine, but was irrelevant to me. Going to try the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 or something of an even higher quality after realizing the great import of the keyboard.
Cross your fingers you dont need a warranty exchange outside of 30 days.....
November 4, 2015
Initially LOVED the product until I started to experience LAG where the keyboard and mouse would stop responding. Extremely annoying. Company PC so I started the troubleshooting process with my IT dept since it didn't happen right away I thought there might be a problem with my PC. We replaced the docking station, then the motherboard and finally the hard drive of my PC. A lot of time spent only to find the problem still exists. Next logical step, do a warranty replacement, it is only 3 months old, but wait, Amazon does not allow for replacement or exchange after 30 days? Last technology purchase I will make with Amazon if they do not honor any sort of warranty exchange beyond 30 days. Lesson learned the hard way, so much for PRIME membership....
Did I get a dud?
February 4, 2015
Tomorrow I have had this keyboard for one week and I am not at all happy. It's only been six days and as I type, the keyboard will simply stop and nothing appears on the screen. Then after a good 15 seconds, a few of the letters I've typed will appear in random order. Even worse, a key that I have typed on will duplicate about 20 times. At times I have to circle the mouse around a link just to get a precise hit to click on it. I looked for support on Logitech and the only helpful advice I found was to turn off and on the keyboard so that the green light (beneath the arrow buttons) stays lit. The green light on my keyboard will not stay lit for more than 5 seconds! I've turned it off and on various times, the light will come on for 20 seconds, and then shut off. I've repaired the units, I've changed the batteries. I went to the Logitech website to download the software that helps me to program the special keys. I type 80 words a minute and it is taking me 10 minutes to write this review, waiting for the keystrokes to keep up with me. Come on, Logitech, really?
Love it when it works
March 20, 2014
This keyboard and mouse combo is great. But like others have stated, the connection seems to cut in and out. So I'll sit here and type, then all of a sudden my cursor won't move, and 5 seconds later it will catch up but it misses a couple of keystrokes. It happens consistently multiple times during the day. 15-20% of the time I'm using it this will happen. Also, there is a known issue with the battery connectors with this keyboard. I bought this exact set about 2 years ago from Amazon or TigerDirect. I used it for 11 months, when the keyboard battery indicator started to flash green and red constantly and wouldn't stop. The keyboard then stopped working after the flashing occurred.I do a warranty claim with Logitech and they tell me it's a known issue but there isn't a fix for it. They ship me out a new keyboard within days and I'm pleased. I was hoping that maybe I just got a dud and that it would not happen to this warranty replacement one.1 year and 2 months after I got the warranty replacement from Logitech, same thing happened. I double checked that it wasn't the batteries that were dead, changed them out with brand new batteries and checked the voltage of the existing batteries with a meter and everything was still good so the battery connector/compartment issue happened again.I really liked the way the keyboard types and feels, so I went ahead and purchased a new one from Amazon in hopes that 2 years after my initial incident, Logitech had fixed the issue. Sad to say, 35 days or so after i purchased this new one, it failed again. So this is my 3rd failed keyboard from a known issue that Logitech just won't address.....

BUYER BEWARD - CHEAP RIPOFF of real Logitech product
November 1, 2017
RIPOFF ALERT! This appears to be a cheap ripoff product - BUYER BEWARE. I've had at least five of the real mice from Logitech (including two wired versions) and this ain't one of 'em. After purchasing this at a great price (red alert), I threw away the packaging, figuring I knew what I was getting and didn't need it anymore. This mouse worked for about 8 days, but was not as smooth as previous versions. The mouse continually lost signal from the receiver, and then finally just died. I went through the entire troubleshooting process on Logitech's support web site. Nothing. That's when I finally realized something was wrong. Duh!Once I took a real look at this mouse, I realized the logo was not a real Logitech logo. Additionally, the receiver was slightly different from one I saved from a previous version. See my attached photos for a comparison; the actual Logitech mouse has a blue background. Now I'm stuck with a dead mouse and no original packaging, and of course, Logitech can't help because it's not their product.I'm finished buying cheap versions and am going for the Logitech MX ERGO trackball next -- the REAL one. My hands and wrists are worth the money.
Poor Micro Switch Design Dooms a Solid Mouse
September 22, 2017
I hate to give it 1 star solely because of the micro switches; but they are a poor design and cannot hold up to daily office work. This is my second M570, an indicator of how I hoped that the micro switch problems with my first M570 were a fluke; sadly, it wasn't. For my first M570, when the switch began to fail, I Googled it and learned of the problem with the micro switches. As compared to flipping the left and right micro switches (soldering involved), I elected to take the switch apart and swap the springs (not a difficult process, but it can be tedious). If you don't mind working with a soldering iron, you can swap the switches or buy replacement switches (part # D2FC-F-7N) from Amazon. At this point, it's just not worth the effort to keep swapping switches. I would probably be a bit more inclined to replace the switches if they were plug switches and I didn't have to solder a replacement switch to the board.Anyways, after a few months, the swapped switch began to fail and I purchased another M570. After about 8 to 9 months, the left micro switch began to fail again. I've swapped the springs again; but, I will not buy another Logitech mouse until the improve upon the switch design. One other item, more of an irritant than anything. The trackball has 3 sensors that track movement; these sensors build up lint rapidly. You will notice that ball movement becomes somewhat sluggish after about 5 to 7 days. So, about once a week, you will have to pop the trackball out and clean the sensors. I use a paper clip to scrape out the lint. Once you do this, good as new.
Do not waste your money
August 30, 2017
Do not waste your money. After only 4 days the forward and back buttons do not respond to commands. The buttons do press in and back but do nothing. After uninstalling drivers and software, reunifying and everything in between, the buttons still did not work. Started reusing my old Logitech mouse and forward and back work perfectly. It is not a Windows problems, it is this mouse. JUNK!
Lousy! Extremely disappointed!
August 21, 2017
Bought this to replace the Logitech Trackball that we had used for the last several years, loved that one, why we bought this one! This one, however, is NOT what we had. Bought in March of 2017 and the tracking, what moves the curser, only works sporadically. Have put several new batteries in, dusted the eye, cleaned the ball, etc., etc., etc... VERY disappointed in this one. Not sure want to try another one!
DON'T BUY - STOPPED WORKING AFTER 90 DAYS
August 20, 2017
Buy the warranty if you plan to buy this!!!!! I cannot stress that enough. The form and function is excellent; I have no issue with it when it works. I purchased this just over 3 months ago and for 3 months it worked great. Then, out of nowhere, it suddenly stopped being recognized by the laptop I use it with, for no reason. I troubleshooted it via the Logitech FAQ, followed hints/tips/tricks listed by other users, but nada, zero recognition. I uninstalled the Unifier software and reinstalled, which worked for about a day, but the next time I powered up my laptop, nada again. It's not a useless $30 paper weight. If it were only $10 or maybe $20 I wouldn't complain, but $30 for just over 90 days of use? Apparently I'm not the only one with this issue either - it's known. I would caution everyone from purchasing this unless you have $100 a year to spend on mice. It's a shame because it's probably the most comfortable trackball mouse I've used to-date, but if it doesn't work, it doesn't work :(
Terrible piece of junk
June 29, 2017
This thing sucks. I've had problems with it from day 1. It takes 10 - 15 minutes to start working after I dock my laptop in the morning. I have to remove the USB drive and reinsert it each morning when I dock. It blows through batteries very quickly. Even when a fresh battery is installed, there is a lag time between my mouse movements and the mouse on my screen. I have never had a wireless mouse that was more problematic than this one and frankly it makes me angry that I didn't return it after trying to use it the first day. At least then I was within my window. Piece of junk.

Nice ergonomic design, but devices are useless without a stable signal.
March 19, 2017
Maybe I received a lemon, but these devices rarely to never funtioned without interruption or major lag in the input device response. I like the overall design, but I could not fix what seemed to be an interrupted signal. There shouldn't be any problem, especially since the Keyboard and Mouse are within a couple of feet from the receiving usb dongle.I've had many wireless input devices over the years and this is the only one that has not worked for me. It's too late for me to return so now I will throw it away after only a couple of months use.
Glitch glitch glitchy
March 15, 2017
I expect a keyboard and mouse to be able to keep up with me. Often I will start to type and it takes 30 seconds to start putting my text on the screen, and even then it is a garbled mess. I have to turn it off for 30 seconds then turn it back on.That usually rights the issue. Usually. Same for the mouse. It skips merrily along the screen in a seemingly random fashion for 20 seconds or so. The keyboard is not at wavy as my last one, which totally ticks me off. I will use it until I can't stand it any longer and will keep it as a subpar backup.Update: the mouse has quit working. Downgrading from two stars to one.
Keyboard has shorter range than one with a cord
June 12, 2016
The worst wireless keyboard you have ever owned. This keyboard has never worked properly. I visited the forums to try to get it to work and apparently I'm not the only one with the same problem. While the mouse has no problems delivering data to the PC, the keyboard has never worked correctly. It forgets keystrokes, duplicates keystrokes "strokes out" and hangs for random lengths of time after which it delivers all of the keystrokes it had been saving up for the occasion, sometimes it doesn't work at all.It doesn't matter if the keyboard and mouse are the only two USB connected devices. Bringing the keyboard closer improves it, but I didn't buy a WIRELESS keyboard to sit within 1 foot of the PC. What good is it? It's really durable. I just got frustrated with it for the umteenth time and smashed it over my knee face down bending it. 5 keys popped out and the batteries flew out of the back with their cover plate. After restoring sanity and the various pieces, the keyboard still works. This was typed WITH the keyboard from 2'.This is typed from the keyboard from 5 feet. It's behaving quite nicely for the moment, but I think that might just be because I abuse it and it doesn't want to get its parent company in trouble while I write a negative review and write a complaint letter to the company.
Works great for about 1 year. Avoid it.
December 19, 2015
Worked great for about a year then started to have problems. I changed the battery, thinking that was the problem, but unfortunately not. The keyboard sporadically does not recognize a pressed key and sometimes doesn't respond at all until you press multiple keys to finally "wake it up".If I had written the review 6 months ago, it would have been rated 5 stars, so beware of good reviews. Avoid it unless you plan on replacing it every year.
Skip it. Logitech products aren't what they used to be I guess.
April 6, 2015
Smaller key layout than an MS keyboard. I'm using it, but I'm not loving it. Probably better for smaller people. They should probably make a mens version too.Update: I just took off two more stars. I've used this thing regularly for over a year, and so far it has odd and incessant disconnect issues, as well as the lettering wearing off the keys. I wasn't going to complain about the keys until this morning when I saw a 15 year old Dell keyboard in my basement, which was used, abused, and just plain worn out. ALL the letters were still on the keys.I also have an MS-5000 wireless keyboard and mouse. The usb dongle is a little bigger, but it has never failed me. Buy that instead.
I HAVE REPLACED DOZENS OF THESE

UPDATE YOUR REVIEW AFTER YOU'VE OWNED ONE FOR A YEAR OR TWO!--------------------------------------------------------I work in IT for a small company, we have about 30 computers. When the previous system admin was setting up the network he got every computer set up with the same hardware - including the same keyboard and mouse.Today I replaced the last one. Every single keyboard has been replaced with another Wave. All 30 laptop/mouse combos died or started having issues within a year, and all have been replaced within 2 years. This is a super comfy, very slick, very nice keyboard, and the fullsized wireless mouse is nice too. However, be prepared that you will, without a doubt, be buying a new one in a year or two. If it lasts any longer than that, you are in the minority and you should consider yourself a lucky owner of a Wave that actually works. These keyboards essentially have planned deaths right after the warranties expire. Here are a few issues I have documented over the last year:- Mouse will randomly stop moving or become erratic. Turning it off and on again will solve the problem. This happened to 3 of the mice. Mine did it at least once an hour before I finally took a hammer to it and bought a new mouse (which was also Logitech and is now starting to have the same problem. Lesson learned: Don't trust Logitech).- If you have a Logitech Wireless Headset there will be interference and the headset will stop working if you start using the keyboard or mouse. It restart itself once you stop typing or moving the mouse.- One keyboard's num-lock stopped working.- At least half of the keyboards got the "Flashing battery indicator" problem- two keyboards had an issue of "lag" where they would work fine for awhile, and then suddenly stop working for a second or two, and then spam the last letter pressed. So if I was typing with one of those keyboards right now it would look like thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss- One keyboard's delete key didn't work. Seems like a minor issue until you realize that meant ctrl+alt+delete didn't work.- Another keyboard would insert a hyphen (-) any time you pressed a number. -1 -2 etc. EXCEPT the number 3.- Almost all of them had to have the receiver unplugged once a week and plugged back in. Otherwise they either wouldn't work at all, or the keyboard+mouse would have bad reception.Edit 6/21/2016:It's now been a year since I left this review. In that time I've replaced 4 more keyboards. Unfortunately, thanks to the previous SysAdmin, everyone is comfortable using Waves, so I just continue to replace them. The company has decided to consider them luxuries, and employees have for the most part decided to put up with the frequent problems. When one becomes bad enough, I just swap them out with another Wave.I've started using a wireless mouse and keyboard from Microsoft and haven't had any problems.
