Side by Side Comparison of: O'Neill vs Baleaf

Fits as exactly as expected and is true to size. I have bought a few pairs of O'Neill shorts on Amazon and I continue to be happy. They are solid quality and I find they retain their color and don't fade over time with repeated washes or exposure to chlorine in a pool. Other brands are similar to this by I think the quality is worth it for O'Neill. The best part about these shorts is the price. The same pair of shorts is $50+ dollars in the store and elsewhere online.

Review I wrote about the blue pair and is true for these ones too. These fit perfectly and worked out great while traveling. These shorts are made of quality fabric, are a nice design, and dry very quickly. I liked them so much that a purchased a second pair of another color.

Love the material, its soft and will dry easily. The colors look great very accurate picture. Also love the pocket on the side. My son is 5'3" and they fall below the needs.

The bathing suit fit very well. The price was too good for me to pass up the offer and I was headed to the beach the following week! Doesn't stain, I made a few spills of hot sauce on myself and it came righto out in the wash. O'Neill is a great brand! If you're looking for a good quality bathing suit and want something that will last! Grab a pair, you won't regret it!

This is a great product. I work at a very casual tech company in Tel Aviv. The first day i got these I was fired up to "test drive" them. I wore them to work, then jogged to the mediterranean and jumped in. I also wore them to a restaurant and a synagogue (yes, this is a casual environment). I don't think you can ask for a better bathing suit than something that lets you be an amphibian and move seamlessly across all these different environments! They are well made and look like they'll last. Fit was perfect.

These trunks are a tighter fitting swimwear than board shorts. I did buy a size up than recommended & they fit perfect. I have 3 pair and they are well made and very comfortable, durable wash well. Great product for the price. I have Speedo boxer square leg trunks like these that cost a lot more. These trunks are just as good quality, fits well and looks great..

Great trunks! I ordered one size up as i usually wear a 32 waist, fits perfect. Wife loves them and the will get there wear in Mexico this year. Wish i could wear them here is america more often but guys here still think you have to wear knee length board shorts even though they ride and suction just as tight as shorts like these.

Look good. I am returning them for a larger size, but they do look good for my body type. 45 year old with a little stomach (Don't judge). Better for a guy in good shape. You dont have to be a rock star at the beach, but don't be Al Bundy.(80s reference Millenials. Google it)

I am 5'10", 195 lbs and muscularly built. I generally were a size large in clothes with no fitment issues. Therefore, I figured I'd be safe if I ordered these in a size extra large. However, they arrived, I tried them on and they seemed extraordinarily small. I am very trim and fit, but these shorts barely covered my butt, and if I pulled them up to fully cover my butt then the minuscule portion covering my thighs would be too short. I returned the extra large and exchanged them for double extra large, the largest size they sell. These fit perfectly. To be clear, the double extra large on me is still tight and short. The person in the photo must be very short because they don't cover as much thigh on me, and this is with the waist already being very low. They do feel good and all important parts are adequately covered though I suppose. The material is nice and they are crafted well. They are excellent for swimming and water sports. Non existent drag in the water, and wears well and dries quickly out of the water. I've been told that they look good also. My girlfriend loves how they look on me. So I ordered the black and red shorts also.

Great quality material, superb fit, smooth and form-fitting. No annoying mesh. While it looks like something only for models or athletes, it actually fits me quite well (even with a 15-17% body fat percentage and a 34-35" waist). While it does hug your man curves, it does so without scrunching or digging into your skin. It will stretch just enough to fit your form comfortably, but not enough to be baggy, bulky, or awkward. If you've just got a little winter weight (10-20 lbs) you'll be fine. If you're trying to hide a belly, it's probably not the best choice for you. You do need to be ok with showing your butt since it is form-fitting. Overall, it's definitely a great buy in my opinion. I would have been willing to pay much more for it. Suites like this elsewhere are much more expensive for far less quality. Quick delivery service and reasonable return policy. I ordered mine on a weekend and had it on my doorstep by Tuesday! If it doesn't fit, they will email you a shipping label for easy return.

Nice but runs large so we had to exchange it. If you lean between two sizes...ex 32/34 go with the smaller.

Had ordered the 33 inch waste last year and they were a perfect fit for my body. Quit smoking and gained some weight this year and so the 33 was too small. Ordered the 34 and the fit is almost perfect again.

My husband said they are a little tighter than he expected, but other than that they are great! He is keeping them with the intention of losing of few lbs and then being able to wear them. They are a great design and look better in person than in the picture.

looks just as pictured. fit as expected. I wish they had 2 standard pockets, but it does have one so it can be used for daily wear. the clearance price made these a great value!

Very nice. Pretty light weight fabric. Had to return the first one we revived because the stitching that kept the velcro on the pocked was all coming out. Exchanged easily and quickly. very happy with them otherwise

I'm 6'3 185lbs with a 36' waist and 36' inseem. These fit in the waist good but are shorter than I like. They fit above the knee about an inch and a half and I was wanting them to fit just below the knee but other than that these are nice shorts.

Took a leap on these swim trunks. Wanted to get away from the board shorts and the chafe I get if I don't wear underwear under them. These trunks work great no chafe and everything stays put. Not to snug not to loose. I'm 166lbs 6foot and I decided to get the xl, not a big guy about average build. Now if I could find more color choices I might get more.

Fits great and I really like it. Good for the price. I have used it 4-5 times already and hasn't faded. Not all the material is the same quality/strength.

Like many others, upon opening and seeing the product it was clear that the shorts were much smaller than pictured. They are definitely not your run of the mill swimwear. I will likely save them for out of town trips. I ordered a large, which I may exchange for an XL. But overall they are comfortable and are as expected. 4 starts because doesn't leave much room in the middle for your man parts. They have to go either left or right lol

I like the way they feel, if I was outside the U.S. I would give them 5 stars but it seems that in America grown men still wear kids board shorts so I'm out numbered at a pool. Aside from that, my wife also likes them, I'm a size 34 waists and got the XXL, so order up.

I ordered two sizes larger because of the review mentioning the trunks run small. I have a 36" waist, but a big ass and thick legs because I work out. The XXL fit perfectly and was very flattering. A 38" waist would fit if they had normal legs and rear, but any guy larger should probably avoid these.

Good look, but they were a little large. I have a 35" waist and ordered a 34. the 34 was not snug like I thought it would be since i went an inch smaller than my waist size.

I should have gone for gray. The blue is not the most masculine look. I'm a 34 waist and the Medium is tight. But overall, nice suit.

Although I like the design, the fit is way too small and the color combination did not look good on me. I have a 37 " waist size; thus, after checking the size chart given, I purchased the Large in the Baleaf Square Leg style. The suit was obviously tight, particularly around the waist and thighs. I returned the suit. However, I do like the style and expect to get the XLarge in the Black/Red.

the fit is great. I have a muscular build and the girlfriend says the compliment my body. I did have an issue with both of the metal eyelets being detached from the waistband as stated by others, and the center seam DOES split the boys a bit but for a cheap pair of "shorty shorts" that I really only used to lay out in the sun while on a recent trip to Mexico they worked fine for me (remember everyone, these are cheaply priced for swimwear, don't expect too much!) I am 6'1 230lbs (again, muscular not fat) and the XL fits just fine... very snug but that's the point right? lol

It was an interesting first experience wearing these. There's no reason to think that these wouldn't fit rather snug. I was prepared for it. The material is nice. It's lighter and more stretchy than I imagined which was a plus.I'm in pretty good shape so they fit on me looking like they do in the picture. What the picture doesn't tell you is what happens when you start moving around. I don't want to waste your time so if you have blue pubic hair or are otherwise "hair free" downstairs, don't bother reading the rest. you'll like the shorts. Just get them.Now for the rest of us... one of the big drawbacks of these shorts are what happens when you start walking around when they are dry. As if they don't call enough attention to you, they have one fault that's almost impossible to ignore. My lady and I were walking down the beach. As people stared at me I tried to not be too self conscious. After a while I had to look down to see if there were any "wardrobe malfunctions" that were making people stare more than usual. To my fright I saw what they may have been looking at.These shorts are so tight and the material is so thin that it's very easy for hair to poke through. Maybe this wouldn't be a problem if my hair was blue, but it's not. It's dark. Dark hair poking out against a baby blue background is enough to make your heart skip a beat. I had to quickly adjust the shorts to make it go away. But then another few steps and it would happen again.I did the only thing that I could think of and quickly ran into the water. After a swim the problem seemed to happen less. Being wet seems to help avoid the problem. It would have been nice if it never happened at all... especially since I live in a small community.

Looks great, but after just a week it's already coming apart. The grommets around the drawstring came off, and some of the seams are loose. Still, for the price, it's pretty decent. And I got a lot of compliments on the look.

They're lined so they're really heavy for a board short. They're $5 but I'm not sure how often I'll even wear them. Not sure why they put a silly liner in there.

I purchased these for my boyfriend before a beach trip. The pattern is exactly as pictured, however as many other reviewers stated, they do run very small. I suggest going up 2 sizes from your normal size.

These were great looking shorts. Material was lightweight and made well. They just ran small.

It's a great made material, but these are no where near "board short" length. They cut off well above the knees and I only stand 5'10"

Too long and baggy for a 40" waist.

5'8", 210 w/34 waist so I ordered a medium per size chart and felt like it was extra small. Great style and feel so I ordered the large and its still too small for me. Order 2 sizes up if you have larger quads or glutes.

Great bathing suit. Excellent material and workmanship. Cut is fantastic but runs very very small. XL is too small for a 36in waist. Would have loved to keep it but had to send it back. Wish they had one in real US sizes.

These were too short. The picture makes them look longer that they actually are. They fit in the waist but were too short. Modesty is the best policy (especially if you don't have the body this guy in the picture has)!

I bought a medium size for my boyfriend and it fit him too tight! These sizes are for small really petite men.

It seems as though it's well made and sturdy. I'm a 31" waist which puts me in the gray area between small and medium. I got the medium, but ended up wishing I had gotten a large. I wear something under it to pull everything together or your frank and beans go in all different directions and even Helen Keller would be able to see what you have. Basically, this had no pouch for your junk to rest comfortably.

Size fail, despite being one of two M sized pieces of short, where one was perfect size and this one was almost impossibly tight. If you're getting this, go up a size.

When I looked up on sizes, it said true to size. My husband wears a medium in pretty much everything. I ordered a large to make sure it would be good. The item is clearly not true to size. Seriously this is a small or extra small. Very dissatisfied,

My husband is a sz 36 waist. We ordered XL. Way too small! They were cheapin price, but then I had to pay to return them which cost 1/2 of what I spent so I didn't get a bargain! What's cheap is dear! Don't bother with this cheap suit!
