Five Star Reviews: | 68% It works as expected. Good value. August 24, 2017 This armband is as described. The silicone is soft and pliable which makes using the buttons do-able even though they are covered. My upper arm is 14-1/2" and it fastens around completely and securely. I did find that where the velcro fastens pinches my arm. For this reason I can't wear it over my bare arm but that's not an issue for me. It's pretty easy to pop my phone out of its everyday case and slip this on. It wouldn't work as a full time cover (as another reviewer suggested) as the camera lens (front and back) are covered. Best armband on the market. September 2, 2016 I have owned a couple of armbands that I use specifically for running with the phone. I have to say that this product is by FAR the best of all. It is very adjustable because the velcro on the band is on the entire band and the flip side sticks to the velcro really well. The design of this armband is perfect.Previous versions I have purchased have just 1 little band of velrco and when I run, it hardly stays connected to itself. I ordered the black version and my wife ordered the white version. This is by far the best amazon purchase I have made as for usefulness combined with price. We get so much use out of these and have had them now for 4 months or so, using them every day.I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a high quality armband and now that I bought a new phone, need to find this version made specifically for the iPhone5c. I hope this helps you make an informed decision. I have yet to find any issues with this product. Switched away, then switched back August 11, 2016 I used this type of arm band (in pink) for four years or so, about 5 times a week. I loved it. It was easy to use, it stayed in place, I could leave the case on my phone and still use it, and I could plug it in and charge it while the armband was on. The plastic piece that the elastic Velcro strap looped through finally snapped one day. I couldn't find the same type of arm band, so I switched to the fully enclosed pocket kind. It didnt have an elastic strap, but so many people use them I decided to give it a try. About a month later I was looking for a replacement because the non elastic kind was difficult to adjust, it was annoying getting it in and out of the thing, but most of all it had to be washed very frequently or it smelled like dirty gym equipment. This was not the fragrance I was looking for. I searched on Amazon and found this arm band, which is identical (save for the colour) to my original one. I bought two, tossed the gross enclosed kind, and have been loving it ever since. I'm thinking of buying one for my iPhone 6s too. Great price, fast shipping. Very happy. Supportive Armband April 24, 2015 This is a great armband, I underestimated how well it would work because of the low price. It fit nice and snug and even stayed in place the entire 3+ hours that took me to run a half marathon. The only thing that bothered me was having to remove the phone from its case in order to fit it in the armband case, annoying but probably best otherwise it would've end up too bulky anyway. Great Armband May 29, 2014 Overall I was very pleasantly surprised by this armband.I have an iPhone 4. It has clear protective shield directly on the face of the touch pad which was applied 18 months ago when the phone was new. That film works fine. I can see the touch pad without glare and it protects the touch pad from scratches, moisture, etc.I was suspicious of the Mediabridge unit's write up because it wasn't clear to me whether it had an extra plastic shield over the touch pad. I went ahead and ordered the armband anyway. I'm glad I did. My old armband had a clear plastic cover over the working surface of the iPhone. I always had problems with glare and I found that the plastic shield interfered with the sensitivity of the touchscreen on the iPhone . This armband has no plastic shield so there is no glare and nothing to interfere with the touch screen sensitivity. (The armband box comes with a clear film that you can apply to the touchscreen if you don't have one already. It goes directly onto the phone, not a separate plastic film that is attached to the armband. That's what I couldn't figure out from the write up.)Fitting the phone into the armband was a bit off-putting the first time. You really have to stretch the rubber/silicone to fit snuggly around the phone. I already have an Amazon basic clear rubber protector around the sides and back of the phone so I have an extra layer that has to fit inside the armband. It did with no problem.Fitting the armband around the phone is a lot like fitting your feet into a pair of good quality fins for scuba or snorkeling. The material is very forgiving but I'm sure suspect that I could cause it to crack by stretching it too far.I use the armband 5-6 times a week and it stays put on my arm, no sliding, while allowing me full access to the phone without that annoying glare.I recommend this armband to everyone. Answer To My Prayers October 30, 2013 I am a long distance runner usually logging 10-25 miles a week and I've had a few dozen other armbands that have fallen apart over time. I'm a small 5'4 woman and every single armband I've ever had was too big and I constantly had to adjust them. This one has really strong velcro, I'd almost rather slide it down my arm than try to undo the velcro. The phone is not inside a plastic case in this one which makes it really easy to change songs, volume, check your distance, etc. I can't recommend this armband enough! | 50% Most iphone holders are of poor quality and I have gone through several with cheap ... December 15, 2015 Most iphone holders are of poor quality and I have gone through several with cheap materials, lack of flexibility, or poor design . I found the AARATEK here on Amazon and thought it might be worth the extra upfront money to get a usable product which might last, and I have not been disappointed! I run/walk/jog an average of 3-5 miles a day with this thing strapped to my arm. In the several months I have used the sleeve, it has yet to bust a stitch, or experience any velcro degradation. The neoprene allows you to hold tightly to your phone but also offers flexibility if you want to stuff a few credit cards and some cash in the pocket with your phone. It has also protected my phone in a (very) light rain. When I upgrade to the 6, I will definitely be looking for the latest model of this product. Best phone arm band I have owned yet September 15, 2015 I have bigger arms as I lift often and most arm bands either do not fit me or tear at a seam after a few uses. This one is plenty big and has options for different band strap lengths. Have used for my entire half-marathon training with no problems and is holding up great! Excellent for the price compared to ones you can buy in apple store that are too small or break easily. Very pleased August 6, 2015 Great for bike rides. My iPhone 6 is a bit of a tight fit but the armband is well made and the key holder is brilliant. Fits great July 7, 2015 I like how there's a little key pocket so I don't have to carry a backpack to carry my keys in, and it's also light, fits comfortably, and easy to adjust. |
Four Star Reviews: | 21% I love this armband March 10, 2017 I love this armband. I bought this one to replace one that I used for many years. Comfortable and dependable. Holds the phone well with no slipping. Nearly a year later, and I'm still rocking it! ;) November 11, 2015 I wasn't so much into "reviewing" back when I originally bought this (nearly a year ago, I believe,) so I confess that it never crossed my mind to leave a review, but now that I understand the importance of feedback for both the company and potential consumer, I decided to return to this transaction and put my two cents in. I paid 100% FULL price for this item. I received no discounts or "perks" for leaving this note. But I have to say... in spite of one or two inconveniences that would be expected from any armband, and considering the price, this armband really is great! At least 9 months later, I'm still using it and see no need to buy a new one anytime soon. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have a difficult time using the touch screen through the plastic. But then again - I'm not sure that it claimed to be usable through the clear screen, anyway. As some other reviews warned, it does slip down my arm SOMETIMES, but it is not constant, nor is it terribly inconvenient because it does not always happen - it seems to be more when I'm wearing nylon jackets that it slides, but not so much on my own skin. Overall, it is an excellent armband - and saved a lot of money from the ones I've seen in stores. Good for the price, but not the best. November 3, 2014 I originally had one of these from Grantwood Technology, but this one is half the price. I like the clear cover and grey strap, and the case is easy to get on and off over my phone. I use these holders heavily and have to replace the silicone about once a year because they eventually tear, but I prefer them over every other arm band because they are easy to use, washable, don't interfere with my phone's functioning, the strap is breathable and it does not bounce on my arm. The cons are that I've used it for two weeks and the case has started to turn a dirty yellow, and the velcro on the band is SO strong I have to stop running if it needs adjusting due to cold/sweat/slipping clothes. I guess for half the price you don't get perfect - but I would buy this again in a color that can't get nasty. Simple and durable! August 4, 2014 Totally worth the $10. It works great for my small arms and can be easily adjusted to stay snug.-Pros: durable velcro strap, size small fits a wide range of arm sizes, the rubber is super stretchy so it's easy to insert/remove phone without tearing even if you're being a little rough with it, phone is snug and safe in the pouch (next to impossible for it to ever fall out even though it looks a little precarious)-Cons: no pouch to keep keys so I have to clip them to my headphones and tuck them into the strap, and it can get sweaty because it's made of polyester. Snug fit, but deceptive at first June 29, 2014 My first day using this, after my run I ripped it off and swore it off forever. I decided I'd buy a hydration belt or even build my own with a sock. However, I gave it another shot on my next run. I had to position it slightly higher than it recommends because I have funny arms, and I made sure it was tight enough to hold: Snug enough that you unfortunately feel its weight and constriction, but not so tight it turns into a tourniquet.I kept perceiving that it was slipping down my arm so I went to fidget with it only to find it had not moved. I realized that the sensation of pulling down was actually the phone bobbing around. It bobs like a greased watermelon refuses to sink underwater despite someone's best efforts. Yet, it stays put.For 100% peace of mind you may want to go with an armband that has the phone case integrated fully into the belt. Otherwise, this is cheap and stays put, what more can you ask for?ETA: I had no issues with sweat ruining my phone. And I sweat a lot. I also run in the "Deep South", with humidity and heat indexes ranging past 100F. Phone is working fine and completely sweat free save the interior of the armband against my skin and this is after 70+ minute runs. Pretty good product, great price. June 23, 2014 This is a pretty good armband. I recently started running and am using a C25K app along with a GPS app to track distance, speed, etc. I generally put the arm band on my forearm so it is easier to see the clock while I'm running, however it fits securely higher up as well. It's a bit annoying to have to take my phone out of it's case in order to use but that's a small detail that doesn't really affect functionality. I have only had this for a couple of weeks so I cannot comment on durability, but it seems pretty good. The one thing that concerns me is the case is pretty soft and having to constantly put my phone in and take it out after each use makes me a bit nervous as to whether it will rip or not, but so far so good. Doesn't bounce or move when running. Looking to get a set of Bluetooth headphones so I can get rid of the cord. | 20% Change the experience of your workout October 4, 2015 I really like this armband. Holds well, and easy to adjust volume during a run. Only issue is that it tends to steam up a little during a run. I am relatively satisfied with my Pro Sport armband June 29, 2015 So far, I am relatively satisfied with my Pro Sport armband. I've had a little difficulty figuring out how tight it needs to be; the first few times I ran with it, I ended up with painful indentations on my inner bicep from the tiny rubber(?) dots that help the arm band to stay in place without slipping. On subsequent runs, I made it a little looser, and that seemed to solve the problem with minimal slipping. I love that I can easily view my phone's screen, and the touch screen works perfectly through the plastic shield. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. Great product but I prefer a separate slot for cards/$ ... June 5, 2015 Great product but I prefer a separate slot for cards/$ so as to avoid anything slipping out. Not sure if this is even an issue but I don't want to be the first to find out. If you're running with just keys, I'm sure this armband would be great. |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% Not overly sturdy August 9, 2017 Not overly impressed. Phone moves around a lot as I run. I had to buy a different armband holder within a few weeks. Don't recommend buying this if you are a runner. Better than neoprene but interferes with touchscreen August 3, 2016 Easy on and off, secure to my arm and no openings on the back side keeps sweat out. I bought it so in the event I dump my bike I'm risking an old phone but the rigid screen protector, while far better than the thin ones, interferes with touch screen functions on many apps and that alone has caused too many close calls while riding. I now use the strap alone on another case for my 6s with blue tooth earbuds, enough already. It works but it's not great if you already have a case on your phone October 20, 2015 It works but it's not great if you already have a case on your phone. Also, it is not a very good independent case. I had a Kobert Sports armband that I liked better but I left it on top of my car and it flew away. Hard to complain too much for the great price on this one though. iPhone is only held in case by the rubber around the edges. March 18, 2015 The iPhone is only held in the case by the rubber moulding around the edges. The rubber could stretch while continually putting the phone in and out of the case. I have since purchased another case that holds the phone more securely and offers more protection to the face of the phone. Won't fit a phone that's already cased. Otherwise, pretty nice. December 15, 2014 Won't fit a phone that's already cased. But, wouldn't be such a bad standalone case with the addition of a screen protector. The armband would then attach and unattached pretty easily. Wouldn't be such a bad use for it. Maybe I'll keep it and get a screen protector. | 16% Not designed for iPhone 4 February 22, 2016 It fits my smaller iPhone 4s, but is designed for a larger iPhone. I'm keeping it, but I wouldn't have ordered it had I realized this ahead of time. It is good.. September 16, 2015 It is good...fits phone and arm great but the phone got so HOT!!!! I had to turn it off and stop using it 1 mile into the run. Three Stars September 14, 2015 When its hot out and you are sweat the band kinda gets bent and not lay flat. Iphone 5S in a small case just doesn't fit! June 13, 2015 Two small for my IPhone 5 in the case and too open for the iPhone to be out of the case if I'm working out! Too bad - just won't work for my needs. It looked really well constructed so I was hopeful. But size does matter ... Sometimes. |
Two Star Reviews: | 2% Meh... March 27, 2017 This band attempts to keep your phone in place during moderate-vigorous exercise IF you tighten it as much as you can. Overall, I find it to be uncomfortable after 5 minutes. I do feel like the phone itself is secure and would not fall out of the rubber sleeve. Screen protector came broken December 11, 2016 The IPhone 5 version come with a hard case. Wished this one too.The tempered glass screen protector came broken This product would jump around on my arm while I ... December 5, 2015 This product would jump around on my arm while I was running. It made my arm sore after a while with aches. Goodwill donation. I had a Mediabridge armband for my iPod Nano and ... December 15, 2014 I had a Mediabridge armband for my iPod Nano and was somewhat neutral at the overall performance but since the part of the product that holds the iPod itself was well made I decided to look at their armband for my iPhone, which I wanted to use for the GPS function while running. Unfortunately the armband allowed the device to flop around fairly excessively unless tightened to a nearly uncomfortable level. This would have been marginally acceptable except for the fact that once the armband was tightened to a certain point the "O" or "D" shaped ring rotates in such a manner that the armband is no longer tight - a major issue mid-run. The iPod version is light enough that this is not a major issue but in order to tighten the iPhone version enough to hold the device still during activity it results in the armband extending due to the rotation of the "O" ring.Unfortunately I waited too long to return it (my fault) so I am stuck with it. Maybe I can sew the "O" ring into a fixed position to prevent rotation. Fell apart October 26, 2014 I bought this for my IPhone 4 for when I am out jogging and using my running app and work-out music.I was happy with it at first, but after 3 weeks of using it about 3 times a week, it started to wear. The phone is held by a rubber molding. This started to crack after about 2 weeks and I was concerned about my phone falling out.The armband started out fitting securely on my upper arm, but again, after about 2 weeks I just couldn't fit it tight enough around my arm. I do like that you have access to the actual phone surface ... August 20, 2014 The band stretched out after 5 or 6 uses. I do like that you have access to the actual phone surface though. | 7% |
One Star Reviews: | 2% Bad quality. January 6, 2016 The silicon case has a crack in its bottom. I returned it immediately. Just wasted my time. Not Happy With Product July 23, 2014 After two days of using this I got an awful burn under my arm. I didn't notice it the first day (I have a large tolerance for pain) but after the second day it was bothering a lot me so I looked at it and saw a small carpet burn looking mark. Now 3 weeks later I have a scar from where the sore was. Very disappointed in this product and will never use it again. | 7% Major chemical exposure. I just opened the box and ... June 22, 2015 Major chemical exposure. I just opened the box and hung it to air out. It has a strong petrochemical odor,. My face is itching and burning whereever my hand touched my face. |
