Great product and vendor.
April 4, 2017
This is great. Beats the heck out the halogen ones. VERY bright, lightweight, stable. Doesn't get very hot at all unlike the halogen ones that will burn you if you accidentally touch it. Does not break or burn holes in the carpet if you knock it over. Uses a tiny fraction of electricity as a 300 watt halogen with comparable light. The light head easily separates from the telescoping stand and has its own feet so it can be used without the stand like under the car where there isn't room. Should have bought one years ago.
Solved a problem we have had for 2 year in about 2 hours
September 19, 2016
I bought one of these work lights for the company I work for. The assemblers on the line have been fighting lighting issues for almost 2 years now and we have tried many different styles of lights but nothing that everyone could agree on, until this light. The assemblers used it for maybe half a day before they were asking me to order 2 more lights. The LED is perfect for safety as they do not heat up and they are so light that anyone can move it and angle it exactly how they want it for the best lighting.I would highly recommend getting these work lights for any place from a fast paced manufacturing facility to a small home garage. They are the perfect combination of light weight, sturdy design with a powerful light that shines over your entire work area.
super bright! wish the cord was longer

super bright! wish the cord was longer. LED is the way to go. get slight hot after long use. but not like halogen
So overall it is actually better than the halogen lamps
July 26, 2015
I bought this light in hopes of replacing the Halogen Lamps that I use. Lately I have been triggering the breakers as they are overloaded with the halogen lamps that I use (2-2-lamps with stand ). Additionally, the heat generated by them is almost unbearable in a closed garage. I bought 1 lamp to see if it could match the halogen lamps. In a nutshell..no....but not by much. This lamp is smaller, lighter and by far cooler!! It is many more times maneuverable than the larger lamps. I can move the lamp closer to the work that I do in my garage (I do show car detailing). So overall it is actually better than the halogen lamps. Additionally, I did not trigger the breakers! This lamp is so good I will be buying another or 2 very shortly. This is an awesome alternative to the halogen lamps.
Very Good Light - Not Perfect but Much Better than Halogen.
April 30, 2015
Pros:Very bright - compared to similar Husky LED model, this one is 2,600 lumens vs the Husky's 1,600 lumens. Noticeably different. As a mental reference, a single auto headlamp outputs between 1,400 (halogen) and 3,000 (xenon) lumens.Light weight - noticeably lighter than Halogen work lights.Very nice light throw pattern and light color. Photography quality!Cons:Lens is a bit smallish, so throw pattern isn't as wide as the larger unitsDoesn't run hot, but it runs warm. 120F according to an IR temperature gun.The stand is fine, but the attachment bracket is a bit cheap. Not the greatest design.A bit spendy.Switch doesn't always click properly - sometimes takes a few tries.Comments:Given the overall good quality of the light, I will use them in my shop as every day lighting, even though these are probably best as portable work lights. The cost is significantly higher than halogen, but halogen lights are ridiculously hot. That heat can make working in a room unbearable over time, and it significantly lowers the life.Overall good product. I've ordered a second.I will run my two lamps off a power strip and use that switch to power the lights. This will avoid that the built in switch wears out before the LEDs.
Exceptional product does what is should
March 25, 2015
Excellent pattern, wide and even with no hot spots and gradual fall-off at the edges. Color temperature seems to provide accurate colors and I'm using the light for painting. Plenty of light without so much illumination that it washes out colors and details. Head is easily removable for use without the tripod. Switch is solid. Some may wish for a taller tripod but given the spread of the base I wouldn't trust the light with a higher center of gravity. (Note that the 48-inch max height listed is from the floor to the very top of the handle.) The tripod itself seems well built and is certainly sturdy. My one complaint is minor: the light isn't quite level left-to-right when mounted. This doesn't affect performance; it just irks me.

Best small portable work-light I've ever owned
March 31, 2017
Great work light, be careful not to look right into it though since it does put out 2000 lumens ("don't stare straight at the sun, you'll go blind!"). Great illumination, sturdy construction, adjustable base, good solid feel. We have a few of these for work to illuminate work-spaces for taking high speed video, knew I had to buy one for myself. These used to go for about $60 on Amazon, found it now for around $38, even at $60 it's worth purchasing!!
Excellent Tool
October 22, 2016
Super efficiant, Bad Ass worklight!! Lightweight, durable, and super bright (2000 lumens), yet cool to the touch due to the light emitting diodes (LED). Very "reliable" crisp/clean white light, with no worries on lamp breakage, or replacement. Works great on commercial jobsites, when the drywall is up, but the lighting circiut isn't hot yet. Excellent for wiring up panels, or switchgear, inside electrical rooms that typically have no window light. -it would also make a nice base camp light for various outdoor ventures, providing you have generator supplied power, (preferably Honda EU2000, "super quite" and light weight). Each Snap-on light will only draw 0.2 amps (125V X 0.2A = 25W), very efficiant, easy load. Just keep the light dry, it is not amphibious :). When outdoor ventures take place in higher latitude regions, (out of state hunting, ect.), keep in mind that this particular light is rated for 32 deg. fahrenheit and above. A very reliable name brand though . . . Snap-on. -I plan on purchasing 1 or 2 more :).
A winning purchase after doing hours of research! (Current as of May 2015).
May 20, 2015
This was a little bit more expensive than several of the no-name brands available on Amazon. If you do your homework and research the reviews, you'll realize that other models require dubious non-UL approved extra wiring that could be dangerous. I decided that I would rather have the peace of mind of not getting shocked with a properly grounded unit.I was also tempted to buy the re-chargeable varieties but noticed that the 500 lumens They Emit are only one quarter of the lighting offered by this unit (2000 lumens). If I was using A light for camping or fishing, I might have gone with the rechargeable unit, but those are not my needs. This unit was sufficiently bright without being overwhelming. It was easy to assemble and the parts are high-quality.Additionally, I received the product in short order because it was shipped from Tennessee and not from China. If I ever have problems with it, I can use the warranty and communicate with someone, and the state not very far away for me, which is a luxury that many Chinese units do not have. Good luck on returning a unit by paying for postage all the way to China. All the parts are from China for this unit, but the difference is that snap on is an American company. Buying something that uses parts manufactured in China is not necessarily a bad thing for any product; what matters is the quality of the parts American companies choose to put into their products and their local warranty coverage. This unit delivers on all counts and is well worth the money!
Perfect work light, no regrets!
May 18, 2015
This is a really great light. I installed two of these above my work table. They are extremely bright. Too bright to mount where the light would be pointed directly at you so I attached them to some shelving using a couple of conduit straps. Since my garage is painted white, I pointed the lights at the ceiling so that the light would reflect back throughout the garage. It's the same concept that was used with the old halogen floor lamps. The light is directed up and diffused throughout the room. It works great and two of these provides plenty of usable light without being blinded. By pointing the light at the ceiling you also eliminate the annoying "shadow man" that gets in your way while you're trying to work. I normally just operate one light but the second one comes in handy if I'm working on something detailed. Buy this light, no regrets. They are low amp, low voltage, run cool, and bright as h*ll. They are great for the home hobbyist that works in their garage.
I love anything white and bright
May 4, 2015
When it comes to lights, I love anything white and bright. Living in Seattle 10 years ago, dealing with drizzly winter meant adding ton of lights up just to feel less sluggish and keep my mood up during the day. Now that LED technology is very common and the prices are coming down, the 2,000 lumen work light for less than $30 was a bargain compared to other models that still used old halogens and drew more current & produced heat. The black base (attaches with two screws provided) is metal as well as the handle. The red frame is a hard plastic that feels and looks durable if in case the light is dropped. The cord isn't flimsy either so there was no worry there. Many reviewers mentioned of not staring at the light and they're right. DON'T stare into the lights as it is very blinding. It produces a very nice flood light enough to light up our small backyard and work on the cars.I ran this unit for over 30 minutes and the back side only got slightly warm. Not even enough to get a low grade burn. It's definitely much safer in that sense. You can definitely leave this on indoors and not worry about something catching on fire or your little ones accidentally touching the unit. Obviously you just don't want them to stare at the light either. Many uses for sure. It's compact enough for travel & can easily utilize small DC to AC converter if there isn't one in your car already. It can be used for photography although I would probably use more than one depending on what you're shooting.I also tried this with window tinting; it's good for flat area but rear windshield with 3rd brake light doesn't seem to light up the corners very well even at 20% tint. The size is also kind odd for any automotive tinting work so I would stick to a stick type for a light source.Overall I'm very happy with the unit. I'll be using this around the house for many projects to come!
Outstanding!!!
March 16, 2015
Not only does this light provide a lot of light without getting dangerously hot, it also produces is very even light (no hot spots like with the halogen lights I've used for several years). And It's energy efficient. And the color temperature of the light is good -- somewhere in the daylight region (not bluish like some LED lights). Because the lights/reflector housing isn't very heavy, the relatively small footprint of the legs makes the light very stable. The sealed rocker switch can be a little cumbersome sometimes. One minor change I've made however, is to a put rubber cane tips (aka chair leg feet) on the four feet. That keeps the light from sliding accidentally on it's hard plastic feet -- the 1" size fit perfectly over the plastic leg tips. I've been using it on a Formica counter-top.I liked the light so much that I bought a second -- but at Costco, for about $10 less. They probably won't carry it regularly. My old halogen lights will get sold at a garage sale this spring.

Bright as I need
April 16, 2014
After reading some of the other reviews, I was expecting the worst but for my use, this is exactly what I needed. I wanted something that I could use when working on my equipment from underneath, in a service pit. My other lights would drive me out of the pit with the heat build up and if I bumped the light, the bulb was toast. Now, not to worry, I've already had my LED light fall 2 or 3 times, no problem and I can actually hang the light next to my head when I need to. My order for a second one will be made very soon.
Designers Edge L1306 108-LED Portable Bright LED Light
November 5, 2013
Received mine, and all the lights work and so forth, Very light weight, and also cool in temperature! - I've wanted a garage light for a while, to work on the vehicles for body work and enhancement, and figured the high-spectrum blue color of bulbs would work well for this... After seeing the light and falls in the 65000 spectrum range, I bet these would be good for photo's of products and so forth for product pictures, considering it's a nice balanced low blue spectrum! - We have guys moving forward with photo enhancement of this light, and will update on our findings, but think these would make good photo lights, considering its overall spectrum! - Two of these, is a drop in the bucket, compared to the $2,000.000 I spent on lighting for the photo lab room, and bet these units would work better then even those, we'll see what the guys come up with, as they move forward! Thanks, Tad
Bright llight & No Heat!
October 12, 2013
So far theses lights are working as advertised. They are brighter than I was expecting them to be. even though I own several Mil-Spec/LE LED flashlights, it still amazed me. The rubber feet are soft enough that if you need to set them on your car's paint you shouldn't have to worry.. I just finished using them to light the inside of my car while I detailed it and the best part was it didn't turn into a sauna. The face of the lights do not get hot or warm evn for that matter. The side where the transformer is located does get warm, ever so slightly. But even after several hours of being on i think it would be safe to say that is to be expected and it was hardly noticeable. The on/off switch is a good touch since most shop lights seem to miss that simple concept. The adjustability is good and for now seems to stay where its put. Overall a good product. The company has several twin halogen lights on a stand/tripod if the would offer these lights with the same amount of adjustment mounted on a stand/tripod the would have had another sale.

Great light, hated halogen's
November 23, 2016
Great light, hated halogen's. Stand is not amazing. Used zip ties to keep tripod open. It has one turn nob to do this but it doesn't keep legs from wobbling. So if u over tighten u will break it. My opinion is this is a very usefull light and best price/quality I can afford.

July 9, 2016
These are very bright light sources and the hardware is okay. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them for high-stress or messy environments where the moving parts of the mounting stand will get a lot of wear and tear, but for most purposes these are versatile, low-energy-use devices that provide some terrific additional illumination where you need it.
LED work light provides solid, functional cool light
April 18, 2016
Tripod could be more sturdy (consider if moved often), the light is excellent, more than adequate for most jobs and considering it's cool LED, this is a great value. Light unit has easy snap on/off attachment to tripod. I'm using for a cabinet refinishing project and would have melted under halogen heat. Unit is well worth the extra cost to go LED.
Good light for painting

A good light to illuminate home improvement projects. Used it to light walls while painting. The stand and supports seem cheaply made, but work for light duty stuff around the house.

July 28, 2015
It provided a decent amount of light directed from a higher level. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about scalding my arm as the temperature is very low. I also like the way it detaches and connects with the small stand intact. My one complaint is that the mounting bracket prevents you from aiming the light down by more than 45 degrees. I will have to create my own bracket to be able to do this. The bracket hits the sides of the light frame.
Great light, ordering another one. Very bright.
March 29, 2015
Very bight, almost too bright if you don't position it right. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the light wobbles a little bit on the screw connecting it to the head.

Great for illuminating dark areas
August 21, 2017
I'm remodeling some areas in my trailer. Sometimes at night it gets too dark to see. My uncle used to hold a flashlight when I was mudding and tapeing. No good, light was always wobbly and batteries died quick. Now, boom, place the light on the floor and Carl goes out to buy drinks and chicken chips. The walls gunna looked crooked anyhow in the morning but not because of a lack of light. I would recommend this Snap on portable light for inside projects only. My friend used it on his roof to light up his basketball yard and done got ruined.
Excellent LED work light
October 30, 2016
Solid little light, definitely bright, but very skeptical of the 2000 lumens advertised. Based on a 100 watt bulb incandescent i'd say this is closer to 1000-1500. Also the color rendering is fairly poor, which is fairly common for cheaper LEDs.Really can't go wrong with this light though, the other LED work light options don't compare. The no-heat this thing a real winner in attics. The price varies by a small amount here from $30-$45 I've noticed.
Snap-On Quality.....That Is Affordable!
May 16, 2016
Everyone who knows about automotive tools knows that Snap-On is - and always has been - the maker of the finest tools ever made for the industry. Any professional mechanic, specialist, or serious automotive collector that likes to tinker is as proud of their accumulation of Snap-On tools and boxes as they are about some of the fine machines they have used them on. I have Snap-On tools that I have had for over 40 years. The quality is unrivaled - as is the support for them offered by the manufacturer. Enough said about that. This light is amazing to me because it is a very nice, bright, light-weight LED work light ....with the Snap-on name and color - and it is relatively CHEAP! I know it sounds silly but the spotless reputation of Snap-On over the years has held the cost of ANYTHING with their name on it to be priced in the stratosphere. But this light is WELL WORTH its price and it is a VERY GOOD work light. It has a good length of power cord, it is light and easy to handle, it runs cool to the touch. The LEDs are VERY bright and create a powerful wide area of illumination. It is easy to grab and setup anywhere. I don't know - or care - where it was made. I didn't even try to find out. I only care about how good it works, how good it looks, and how long it lasts. So far - it's a winner.
Super bright, yet cool to the touch
March 11, 2016
Super bright, yet cool to the touch. Some customers report that it is cheaper at Costco. If I buy a second unit, I will check into that. The red plastic bezel that frames the light is solid and well made. The base does not wobble, and the handles that are used to secure the light at different angles are large and easy to grip. There is nothing wimpy about this light. I don't know how long it will last. I don't know how it will stand up to cold weather, but I think that I am going to be happy with it for a long time. I will update this review in the future if things change.
Very nice light with one potential drawback
October 20, 2015
The 30 year old, decrepit, flickering overhead light fixture in my hobby room finally died on me, and for various reasons, I am unable to have it replaced at this time. What's one to do in this situation? Buy a portable work light! This Snap On LED work light is just what I needed. It is light, easy to carry and has a nice little stand. It swivels up and down, allowing you to direct the light the way you need to. And best of all, it is very bright. I have the light pointed slightly upwards in my little 9x10 room and it fills the entire space with enough light to get done what I need to do. Yes, there may be some shadows cast and it doesn't hit light in every single area, but honestly that does not matter to me.The one thing to note, which may or may not be good depending on your situation, is that the light switch on the back is kind of hard to reach and covered with a protective cover, which can make it quite hard to switch on and off. I personally get stiff joints so this is a downside for me, but I do manage. Aside from that small quibble, I do very much like the light and easily recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, portable light source.

Fine for automotivd work
April 9, 2016
I purchased to replace my shop light that I use for automotive work. This light is a little on the small side which is good and bad. The brightness is fair to good. One bonus is that it doesn't run hot which is nice when I'm working on a hot motor during the summer. Recommend for small hobbies.
Great light
December 4, 2013
Decent light output. It is not as bright as a halogen light but it also will not burn down the construction site. It puts out next to no heat. The housing is plastic, which is more than sufficient. It is really well made. Would give it 5 starts if it put out a little more bright light. The light is a little blue, not a clean white. I also bought the L1315 a little better Less LED's but brighter than this one.
A nice lamp, but ...
November 16, 2013
I ordered the 108-LED portable light with great anticipation. It arrived two days ago, so I tried it out. When compared with a halogen lamp it was a great disappointment. However, the description had made no such claims, and I had carelessly overlooked the fact that these are not CREE LEDs. The lamp functions exactly as advertized, and provides fair illumination for a small room (such as a bedroom). If you keep that in mind, you will be able to match this lamp to your needs.
Very good value.
October 2, 2013
I read all of the previous reviews on this product and did a lot of web research before I purchased this item.Got mine two days ago and have evaluated and tested it. Is it perfect for everyone?, perhaps not, but I really like it.The advertised specs seem very accurate, according to my tests.Light output rating is right at the 350 lumens, and color is right at 6,800k (cool-white). Power consumption is the stated 6-watts.So, How do you compare it to other incandescent units? I used a 350-watt, halogen work light of similar housing design that I have.I used a professional luminescence meter to make my tests. The 350-watt halogen light measured about 2,000 Lux, at a distance of 24" from the source. This unit measured 1,400 Lux at the same distance (70-percent). That's very good.Note that cool-white LED "light output per watt" range from 50-110 lumens/watt. This one is only 58 lumens/watt, so it's at the lower end of the range, but still very good value at this price point. You want higher light output efficiency, prepare to pay a higher price.Light distribution spread is about the same as my old halogen unit. Very adequate for general work area lighting. You hardly notice the slight difference in light output. After one-hour of use, the unit was still cool to the touch (room temperature), while the halogen unit would burn your skin to the touch.Yes, the light color is slightly cooler, but not too blue. The rated CRI (color rendering index) is only 69, while you want a rating of 90 or above for accurate color work, but that's no problem for general work area lighting. The unit is very ruggedly constructed and the only fault I found is that the power switch is rather small and somewhat difficult to operate. Looks like it can stand being banged around in a work truck environment with little risk of damage.I'm so pleased that I'm ordering more.
not a halogen
June 16, 2013
lets get to the guts of it... if you want to get a tan while working or think its fun watching your electric meter spinning like a helicopter blade, this light isnt for you. The fact that the light doesnt get hot is nice, I dont have to worry about leaving the skin of my fingers on the glass lol I bought these lights for a remodel, and currently am using them for the sheetrock phase. they give off a good clean light that shows the flaws on my project and thats all i need. Youll still feel like your indoors when using them though, but since i am indoors thats fine. Ive definitely noticed the milder temperature in the room im using the lights in. with my halogens, the house would be close to a 100 deg. by the end of the day. not these led's. yesterday i had to crawl under my mobile home and fix some sgabby plumbing and the light got drenched with no problems whatsoever not even steam off the lens. my halogens glass would have exploded. I gave it 4 stars as i nearly never give 5 and its not as bright as a halo. but the trade up in safety is worth it and its adequite light.

For the money it isn't built to sturdy. The handle was bent down over the switch so you couldn't get your finger in to turn the light on and off. The tighteners don't stay tight so the base doesn't stay in place when you slide it up and down. It does have a nice bright light and its nice to be able to use the light without the stand.

Nice functional light
August 25, 2017
Nice functional light, BUT, the on/off switch is buried and difficult to use. Why do a lot of manufactures try to copy Apple and get over the top sleek. Put that sucker up, out and prominent. This is merely a light. It doesn't need digital designing.

I was thrilled at first. Nice and bright without much heat. Now it keeps blinking on and off. I've tried plugging it into different outlets....same problem. I bought this Feb 2015 it's May 2017 as I write this. I use this off and on, what I would call moderate use.

Came missing the nut and lock washer used to connect the light to the base. Puts out great light and minimal heat compared to normal filament light. Better quality construction than I expected.
expectations higher, its just OK for me.
December 27, 2016
Guess my expectations where higher given the reviews. It is just OK for me. heavy duty cord, bright (harsh light), too harsh for any type of photographic bounce lighting. I'll probably use my portable light more often than this one. I was hoping it would seem brighter and that it might have other uses than just a direct work light. Not as easy to adjust as other competing lights and no other features like brightness control.
Unfortunately I could not find any better alternative work light

October 20, 2015
I have a lot of snap on tools and love them. This light is very bright, but what was disappointing is its made in China. Also when using in the engine compartment its not ver versatile. Not a lot of positions available for the light to shine. Kind of a pain in the ass unless you are going to be using underneath you car, or something similar.

Not that bright
December 8, 2016
I bought this to replace my old school halogen portable light. I had hopes of it becoming my "go to" portable light, since it doesn't get blistering hot like my halogen light. But it puts out nowhere near the light that the halogen unit does. I see that there is a Snap On unit available on Amazon, and I saw this same light at Costco last night. I might be giving this one a try.I wouldn't buy this one again.
Acceptable, lightweight, and priced well
December 27, 2013
I have halogen work lights that provide me with the traditional ridiculous amount of light on a work site after dark but give off a lot of heat and have some inherent danger with small children around. The LED light eliminates the danger but does give us some of the flood capability. I wish it were easier to store - that it folded up in some way that reduced the space required as well as allowed it to be hung more easily (like against a wall) and provided some kind of built-in cord storage like a cheap Velcro attachment. But it does the job of lighting a work space reasonably well.

Not really a good choice...

I bought several different LED work lights, an this one is just bearely ok, and kind of expensive for the quality.

Light works great but the stand has VERY cheap
May 26, 2016
Light works great but the stand has VERY cheap, plastic features such as the knobs and stand sliders. In fact, The bottom support arrived broken. Instead of going through the hassle of returning it, I repaired the part with super glue. This item should sell for $30....not $80. Keep looking for a higher quality product.
Not the best quality

Light still works fine, but the tripod fell apart in a day and the handle broke off in the week.
Disappointed

Seller was good. Light was cheaply made.Plastic isn't very durable.

I don't care fo rit that much.
March 13, 2017
I don't care for it that much, but it's light and better than darkness. It's bright, but is cumbersome to use. It really needs a large hook on the back so you can hang it, and something on the back to adjust the angle. Even magnets on the back would be cool. All the light is very focused is is not full spread. The cord is too thick and stiff for a low watt unit. When you to deploy it or put it away, you'll notice the cord issue.Compared to the old days with the halogen bulbs that you can cook bacon on, it's much better. It just lacks any foresight into innovation such as a cord wrap system so it can be stored easy. And it wasn't bad enough to return it for a refund.
Doesn't last.

I purchased this as a gift to my best friend. He loved it. It was very bright and stayed cool. Unfortunately, it completely stopped working after only three months.
If it breaks, you can't get warranty service.
October 26, 2015
I bought two of these lights, and they worked great for a while. Good amount of light, small size, low heat, good price. Then one of them stopped working. I contacted Snap-on to get warranty service, and was told "We do not warranty items purchased off of Amazon. Warranties are only good to the original purchaser who purchased the item through Snap-on direct."Is that a thing? I didn't even know that was a thing.I'm very unimpressed with Snap-on as a company for having this policy. I suppose they might have their reasons, maybe they don't typically work with distributors/retailers and their products being sold here are sold by random people?

Good light, but began failing after 9 months.
Great light..very poor quality control
September 21, 2015
Bought this in March 2015. Probably lasted a week before it started flickering. Would have to bang on it a few times to get it lit again. I gave it two stars because when it stays on, it works great to light up my garage. But my recommendation is to find another one and not buy this item until the quality control issues are fixed.
Item worked great; however
May 16, 2015
Item worked great; however, when it began to flicker when I used it today. Unfortunately, the plug is defective... My eligibility to return ended 2 days ago... Unbelievable! Great light, cord is much to be desired. I will most likely need to splice and replace the cord... I will contact Snap-on directly to see if they will help with my 32 day order.

wildly over-stated brightness
September 29, 2016
considerably less bright than the enthusiastic listing would have you believe. This was literally less bright than a good 100watt light bulb, when the ad at the time I bought it claimed it was as bright as a 300w bulb lumens-wiseSo disappointing because it would have been a great value.

Not very bright at all.
April 6, 2015
I got his portable light to replace an old halogen type light that's very bright but generates so much heat I feel is dangerous to use. This light is made cheaply but more important is that it's not very bright. Mine came with a defective on/off switch so I returned it.
Returned it--way too dim
May 9, 2014
I should have looked more carefully at the lumen rating of this light--it is way too dim for my purposes. The stand is nice, as is the portability (although it is corded). But there just wasn't enough light. I bought a socket splitter and put a second 1000+ lumen LED A19 (regular socket) bulb in the ceiling fixture of my garage/workshop and have been much happier.
Disappointed
February 2, 2014
Not the quality that I expected based on reviews. After a few uses the cord came loose from the body of the light. A plastic nut inside the unit holds the cord in place. That nut came off so the cord was dangling from the back of the light. For a couple dollars more found a much better quality LED workshop light at Costco.
Misleading description
November 26, 2012
I bought this based on the description that it is equivalent to a 300 watt work light. When I plugged it in I was disappointed at how dim it was. It does have a nice cool white color, but for my needs it is nothing like my bright 300 watt halogen. The box states it is compared to a 175 watt. Even that is not even close. Maybe a 75 watt, no more.

May 12, 2016
Low quality, poorly designed, and dead on arrival product. The tripod won't lock into place at all even when tightened completely. There were two pieces of cosmetic plastic that had broken off during shipping. And the switch to turn the light on/off is hidden under what seems to be a handle and is very hard to access - weird decision or defective unit? I dunno. But it is bad.
Look for something better.
August 10, 2015
The light is ok but the tripod is junk. I tried to tighten the tube friction nut using just my hand and it cracked in two. Very flimsy construction. Definitely would not buy again.

Surprisingly low quality for the price. On/off switch does not work at all--right out of the box. Light head mount is tilted ~5 degrees. Returning because of the switch. Will order a different worklight at a much lower prices--maybe the Snap-on unit.

This item pops up when searching Amazon for rechargeable LED work lights and it is NOT rechargeable. AC only.
poorly thought out design
December 28, 2016
Not a fan of this portable work light. I read the reviews that talked about how narrowly focused it is and figured it was an exaggeration. Those comments were entirely accurate. The shame of it is that the light is first rate aside from that, so I will keep it and work around the issue, but to me, why would it be designed to be blinding this way and force you to bounce the light off the ceiling -- who would want to do that?

Disaster
October 4, 2015
Very bright, light weight and cool to the touch after using all day. Exactly what I was looking for.Update: After 2 months of very light occasional use, the light died. As noted in other reviews, Snap On will not honor any warranty when the light is purchased through an Amazon seller. Seller, JessieLep would not provide any assistance except to provide Snap On's phone number. Very disappointing. I would not take a chance on this light.

These work lights do not throw enough to light. 1 halogen work lights puts out more light hand 2 of these combined. The light pattern on the wall is only about a 4 foot by 4 foot area. Not worth it. Buy halogen.

Absolutely not comparable with 300 Watt and definitely to dark as a working lamp for painting. And even after the lamp is unpacked for a month it still smells like plastic industry and your hand smells like it after touching it.
Not worth the name of work light...

Terrible light. I have small flash light that makes more light than this thing. Returned.
Nice small package and seems to be well built
December 28, 2014
Don't expect much light from this LED. It might claim 350 lumens but that rating is highly questionable. Even in a low light environment it isn't very illuminating. Nice small package and seems to be well built. As far as I'm concerned this might be helpful only in small areas where conventional light isn't available, such as working on plumbing under the sink or something similar.Save your money and buy a $5.00 LED cap light instead.
Pretty light, but not effective.
August 19, 2014
This lamp is nearly worthless. I intend on returning it. I am used to using the similar sized "normal" halogen lights selling for $12 to $15. They actually light up a room. This light is dim, does not provide enough light to see your work. It may be cooler, and cheaper to operate...but if you need light I would suggest a different product.
