Five Star Reviews: | 67% Brings out the best in your playing March 23, 2017 This is my second unit. I love the ME25 so much that I wanted to make sure I had a back up. I have no problems creating the settings I want with this multi-effects pedal - whether using an electric or acoustic/electric guitar - or outputting to an amp or PA. I like the fact that the ME25 doesn't muddy my tone - merely enhances what I've got. Priced right! March 13, 2017 Great product. It doesn't have the sound quality of a higher price units. But the unit is solid and great to practice with. The shipping was very fast. Disappointed at first February 2, 2015 Ordered this thinking it was the ME-70. Disappointed at first, but then i started using it and was a great buy. No analog, but you can still change everything to your liking at plenty of standard effects that are awesome. The loop is great for creating songs. Thanks guys! The new tecnology is amazing! May 16, 2014 I use the boss me-8 for 15 years, now with the boss me-25 i have the same kick ass sound plus some more effects and customisations, also it comes with a beutifull surprise that i don't even expect, this guiar pedal is also an audio interfase that suport digital audio via USB, is really amazing you will not regret, it doesn't come whit a power supply only batteries, buy one separatly.ohh yeaah it also includes the software Sonar LE 8.5 | 58% Love it. Direct replacement pedal. Good Deal! August 30, 2017 Love it! Bought it as a direct replacement for an older model that (after many many years) broke after hitting the deck one too many times. The effects on this thing are very good - to fantastic depending on your guitar and amp setup. For example, I got much better results with my Les Paul through a good high-dollar tube amp which has a superior clean channel through which to play vs a cheaper entry level amp from days gone by. If you're on a budget, this is a solid multiple effects pedal for you to consider. I love mine and plan on using the blank out of it for many years! Great pedal and great price May 21, 2017 Great pedal and great price. This pedal does so much for such a great price. It's like having 100 pedals and effects all in one pedal. Can't Beat The Price November 26, 2016 If I could figure out why I needed two of these I'd certainly buy another one. Programs easily and I get the sounds I want. Quality product with more features than my son will ever use. May 12, 2016 Bought this for my son. His teacher uses the RP50 so wanted something similar. Gets him all the effects he needs to play a variety of songs. The drum kit is a great feature to help him stay in time. Quality product. Nice range of effects October 13, 2013 This little box is a really money and space saver. It has pretty much every effect I've wanted for some time. I play only for my own amusement but I like to match the sounds the recording artists used. The box let's me do that. It has certainly more than met my expectations. Digitech RP55 guital pedal March 2, 2013 This pedal is awesome. It is made out of plastic and that's a drawback but the price and the amount of different effects really make this a worth wild pedal to get! It makes 40 different effects and can program another 40 however you want in whatever order you want. Has a drum beat that does about 30 different beats, just plug it into your amp and the beats will play out of that. I use my bass mostly on this and have a blast playing to the beats! Very happy with this Effects Pedal!!! |
Four Star Reviews: | 21% Weight description is not correct, it arrives with mor ... June 6, 2017 Weight description is not correct, it arrives with mor than 7 lbs, I had problems in customs because of that. The pedal is an excellent option for a beginner to medium level guitar player November 28, 2016 The pedal is an excellent option for a beginner to medium level guitar player. This pedal will help you determine what pedals work for you. I love the pedal allows you to record a loop that can be used to practice. The unit does not come with a power supply. Should come with AC power supply & instrution Video October 30, 2014 It works fine but wish there was an instruction video with it or on youtube.book is vague to me on how to get what you want from it, looking for 8 year oldto explain it to me. Good Overall Guitar Multi Effects Pedal July 20, 2013 This is a great guitar multi-effects pedal. It is very easy to modify the effects and customize your own sound. It has very good clean and overdrive tones. Like most guitar multi-effects pedal, it sounds the best when it is used with a PA or studio monitor instead of a guitar combo amp. If you want to spend less than one hundred dollars, the Zoom ZG2NU Guitar Multi Effects Pedal would be a good option. With the Boss Me-25 or the Zoom ZG2NU, you would be able to spend more time practicing and playing your guitar. less tcchnical May 7, 2013 love it ! Alot less technical then my ME-70. and very reasonable on the price . And the cool new setting boss just came out with called the Harmonist really rocks with the dual guitar sound effect. Great pedal, not for live gigs May 17, 2010 This pedal is excellent to have at home or for creating sounds in a studio. Tons of variations and options, effects, etc. You have to keep in mind that unless you prepare settings in advance, it is very difficult to change settings, or add specific effects on the spot live. Other than that it is excellent. | 18% There are no reviews yet |
Three Star Reviews: | 11% Get something else April 23, 2016 Good sound but no info and trying to download patches is impossible and the manufacturer support is not good at all for trying to help you download a patch don't even use it anymore wasted money Decent pedal for the price August 29, 2013 This is a pretty basic multi-effects pedal, it's good at replicating a lot of different tones but sounds a little too "processed" in my opinion. I've used it for a few years now through various different amps and guitars and it seems to make them all sound alike regardless of the rig. This is just MY opinion though, I have friends that won't use anything but this but when I bring my guitar over to jam with them I can definitely tell a difference of the tones. If you don't have $500 to blow on a few pedals to get your tone or simply don't like having more than one pedal this thing is pretty handy. The Cakewalk recording software that came with it sucks in MY opinion but like I said, if your trying to get a bunch of different tones and record to your computer on a tight budget I'd get this but if you have a few bucks to spare I'd recommend getting some pedals or possibly even a PODHD500 or the new PODHD500X, still somewhat "processed" tones but a lot more options and better sound quality. so-so June 17, 2013 i was excited when it first arrived and immediately put it to use. i was happy with it until one day i decided to run my guitar straight through my amp like i used to. the sound didnt compare. these computerized effects are no comparison to a hand-selected array of pedals meant for a specific purpose. | 8% it sounds okay... be careful, it's cheap plastic, not heavy duty... battery compartment is temperamental. May 14, 2017 it sounds okay... be careful, it's cheap plastic, not heavy duty... battery compartment is temperamental. Great Pedal... Exept for a few..."Problems" May 21, 2015 I bought this pedal two years ago, used it everyday for at least an hour. I was happy with the sound and tone until... I started having problems with different components on the unit. The AC power input didn't work at all when I got it, so I ended up having to use batterys instead. The entire pedal casing and buttons are plastic. After about a year and a half of use, one of the "edit" buttons broke completly off! I now have to use a pen to change presets which does not work that well for live performances! I contacted DigiTech about these "problems" and they said they would fix the unit, but... I would have to pay for shipping both ways... which would be about the price of buying a new unit from Amazon! I also have problems with the unit's electronics. When I am playing and step on a footswitch to change to a different preset, the unit turns off, and back on creating LOUD popping noises. It is a pain when playing live gigs. I would recommend thinking it though before purchasing this pedal. It was cool while it worked October 7, 2014 The Digitech RP55 is pretty cool, while it works...As far as diversity - this thing can work with almost any music type. You can layer effects and change the intensity of each one. Also, each effect usually has a few associated styles. Combine that with the ability to emulate different amplifiers, and you've got limitless options. You can create new presets or customize existing presets. Really, your options are pretty much infinite. The sound quality is pretty good, but not perfect. There's a hint of background noise. Some of the effects sound muddy, and not in a good way. But I was always able to customize an effect until it sounded good. However, even with my light usage as a praise band leader who plays mostly acoustic (thus not using this product all too frequently), after 7 months, the RP55 couldn't hold up. In my last band practice, it kept cutting out and flashing on and off, leading to a loud popping sound happening over and over through our PA system. Unfortunately, it's fried, and Digitech support offered me nothing other than a curt "take it to a service facility for warranty work". I don't know what I was expecting, but driving 20 miles out of my way to get warranty work on a $50 piece of equipment doesn't appeal to me. I may just bite the bullet and replace it with actual pedals, probably not from Digitech. If you don't play professionally, or if you don't see yourself using it too often, you probably won't have a problem with the RP55. However, this product will probably leave the experienced guitarist wanting, if not stuck with a broken unit. okay March 11, 2014 This processor is okay for home practice if you need something other than just a dry signal. The sound is a little too electronic for me. I bought an RP-1 and it sounds much better. It's OK February 26, 2014 I like the drum machine and the tuner, but I don't like the effects, I don't have an electric guitar, I only have acoustic electric guitars, and I thought that maybe I could make it sound like an electric, but the sounds are distorted, and not very clean, it sound muff. For an electric guitar maybe it would work fine, but not for an acoustic electric guitar. |
Two Star Reviews: | 1% ehh August 29, 2017 It didn't work as well as I had hoped. Not as intuitive to use as i would have liked and to be honest, just a pain to drag out. The effects sound kind of "digital" to me. I was hoping for more. I've had it a bit, but I just don't find myself using it too often. Maybe I will drag it out and it will grow on me some day, but right out of the box I was not that impressed. | 4% i was able to modify the effects and easy enough to do but within the last few days ... July 3, 2017 It seems about right that my return window has closed. Amazon has always done right by me when it comes to returning most anything. however in this case, I did not use this much at all over the last 5 weeks and just noticed the problem. It started out ok, i was able to modify the effects and easy enough to do but within the last few days the pedal just gave up. when you first turn it on it seems to work fine then the sound dies. I have tried new batteries then i tried a power supply (the proper spec supply) and still the same thing. I am not sure how to proceed. If the digtech supplier would contact me that would be great. john Didn't like. April 29, 2017 I studied the manual and learned how to set it up for what I wanted. Spent hours tweaking the settings but in the end I found that my old DSP128XL still sounds way better. Returned to Amazon. Two Stars December 27, 2016 the batteries will not stay in the weak holder ,you should send me a free ac adapter! Product may be good but the manual does a very poor job with ... November 18, 2014 This processor is not for the novice guitar player. The instructions manual is weak to say the least. While product delivers numerous affects, it was difficult finding the combination I wanted because every time you hit a button or pedal, other functions would change also. Product may be good but the manual does a very poor job with the instructions on its use. NO POWER SUPPLY!!! October 22, 2014 Came on time as always. Thanks Amazon! Product description needs to tell you that it doesnt come with a power supply though. Tried 6 brand new AA batteries and It didnt work. Bought a power supply and it still didnt work. Sending it back. Will update review when I can actually use it. Dead Digi November 20, 2012 This particular brand I've seen around and haven't heard to much about them, but the one that I got worked fine for about a couple days. It went out and I sent it in hoping to rule out the possibility that I MIGHT have gotten a bad one.And I requested in a letter when I sent it in that they send another one in exchange, That didn't work out so well, with that being the only way I COULD RATE it and never receiving a replacement to verify that i just got a bad one, I'd have to rate this one at the bottom... |
One Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 12% Really cool, then terrible.. May 4, 2016 Didnt even work out of the box! Very disappointed seems like digitech has a habit of this?! A disappointment February 19, 2016 This product was disappointing compared to the RP50 model. The foot switches weren't as responsive and the effects sounded nastier (and not in a good way) than the RP50. disapointed January 8, 2014 I got this for my son as a Christmas present the power cord that is recommended was to powerful and got very hot and caused the peddle to stop working so we tried batteries they were brand new and the batteries exploded and got battery acid all over. All I can say is it so disappointing to have your child so excited only to be let down. Oh god December 28, 2012 I had a friend with one of these and he loves it. I got one on his recommendation and when I put the batteries in it, it started smoking. It did work for awhile. I pulled the batteries out and tried to AC adapter and it smoked again, this time it did not work. I am one of those people who gives an item one try and if it does not work, holds a grudge. I would not advise anybody to get this. |
