Nice little drum thumpers. Sound lovely on the cymbals
Great Drum Mallets Please the Birthday Boy!
October 13, 2014
These were a great buy that I purchased, with a drumstick carrier, for one of my grandsons for his birthday. He just loves them and was really happy with them for his birthday present. He said they were a very good brand and proceeded to show me how they work. He also loved the case that I got to go with the mallets. They were a good buy, and just what my grandson wanted for his birthday. So glad that Gramma can still pick out good presents for a 19 year old. :-)
Great Mallets
October 22, 2013
These are well constructed, I bought another brand that cost more and the covering was falling apart when I got them, and they were too hard, cymbal swells were not great. These sound like they should...
These are great
March 20, 2013
I got them to use with a KORG wavedrum, and they feel and sound excellent. The drum sensor knows if you're using hands, sticks or mallets, so I wanted these for those dampened hits, that more naturally mimic a bass drum or eastern Tom style drums. Works exactly as I expected, and they feel sturdy, at times I'll use one mallet and one stick, or bare hand, or turn the mallet around while playing to use the handle for sharper hits. You won't find mallets of this quality for this price anywhere else... And I'd say every drummer, especially if you're using a wavedrum or world drums, should have these in your arsenal.

high quality and great feel
October 27, 2015
really nice weight and feel...this mallet is heavy enough to a good sound out of a 22" gong without the need to warm it up. The wrapping on the head of the mallet is high quality and the loop at the base of the handle is useful for hanging the mallet next to the gong when not in use.

October 19, 2015
For a loud, hard-sounding bang on the bass drum, this is an excellent mallet.Amazon sells it at a good discounted price. It has met my expectations in every way.The only possible negative is that it is heavier than the usual bass drum mallet and required a little getting used to, in the timing of the swinging time to hit the drum head.
Great product but check the measurements before ordering!
July 31, 2015
Very good quality but please watch for the size, amazon recommends it with much smaller gong and I ordered it blindly, now I have this great product on my hands although I don't need it and only keep it because the shipment price is half the price of a product. Otherwise, if it's the size you need, well Zildjian doesn't need extra advertising )) I tried it on my smaller gong, though, and it sounds too muted, too soft. Maybe on a bigger one it will sound properly.
Awesome!
November 21, 2014
I have been playing with these mallets for about two months and they are still in perfect condition. They bring out excellent tone from cymbals when performing crescendos and I really like the tribal sound they pull out of my drums. I've also used these on vibes and they create an ethereal, muted sound unlike hard or even rubber mallets. Very well balanced.
Zildjian Cymbal mallets
September 25, 2013
I play professionally and so need an array of mallets and beaters for orchestral and session work. Bought the Zildjian mallets because I use their cymbals. I have been very pleased with the mallets because of their weight, they are heavy enough to crescendo quickly but are easy to control. If you need to create suspended cymbal rolls you will like them. Not really suited for playing on the drums themselves.
Great feel and action
July 16, 2012
I was looking for some mallets to provide a more gong like sound on a some new cymbals. These more than fill the bill. As you would expect from Zildjian - these really provide the sound I wanted along with a tremendous feel. It's been a long time since I had mallets - these make me wonder why I waited!

The felt mallets are denser than I expected, but otherwise these work as advertised.
Nice feel in your hands
July 27, 2016
Nice feel in your hands, not to heavy. Well made. I use it on my cymbals and toms and they give a nice sound.
Comfortable in the hand
July 17, 2016
Comfortable in the hand, well balanced, and perfect to use on acoustic and electronic drum kits, and especially the Korg Wavedrum.
The sticks are a bit heavier which is a good thing because it balances it out perfectly
May 22, 2016
Does it's job. A little softer, with regard to the padding, would have been preferred. The sticks are a bit heavier which is a good thing because it balances it out perfectly.

January 22, 2015
A little bit harder than I would like to use on my cymbals - they have noticibly more definition that other mallets I've owned. All in all they are pretty good for the price
Quality construction, slightly light.
December 23, 2013
I prefer a slightly heavier stick, but that is my only gripe, if you can call it that. The construction is excellent: the felt heads are firm and have held up very well and give a very nice sound when used on drums or cymbals.

I'm not a very much "like anything Zildjian" except the cymbals
September 30, 2017
I'm not a very much "like anything Zildjian" except the cymbals of course, but the mallets are of VERY good quality. They look sharp also in black. A good product for a good price to get those nice swells on your suspended cymbal. I use a Meinl 17" classic orchestra cymbal and it comes to life VERY well....nice.
Bonged great ...
July 23, 2017
looks good to me..worked great on the bonger thing at Yamotos Steak House(yummy)..we left it there because theirs was worn out..guess I'll know when I go back and check on how well it has held up...
GREAT VALUE
May 8, 2015
These are listed as cymbal mallets, but I decided to experiment and I am currently using on my Conga, Bongo, Timbale set up and like the tone I can get without worry of damaging the heads going from one drum to the next.

I leave theses in my studio for other drummers. They look well made and sound good.I like the yarn tip.
Very well made. I took one star off because I hoped they would be a little softer.
February 8, 2014
These are very high-quality mallets. I was looking for something a bit softer, so maybe I'll wrap some other yarn on them. It does make for good cymbal swells, but I hear more impact than I was imagining. They feel well-balanced and they are definitely quality material.
Larger than I thought!
June 12, 2010
Nice quality at a good price. No dimensions listed so I went by the picture for size. The mallet was three times larger than I expected. Am using it, but wish it was smaller.

Sound Expectation
January 21, 2015
works well, but the mallet "mesh" is more solid, and isn't as "giving" as I was expecting. It has a solid strike sound as opposed to a smooth "whoosh"
quite nicely.
July 1, 2014
There were quite a few chips on the surface of these sticks when I got them which was quite surprising for a brand new item. Perhaps they use throw outs from regular sticks to build these mallets? They are also a tad short but I'm not familiar with mallets in particular. Aside from this, they generally work as they should and provide cymbal swelling, etc. quite nicely.
Mallet felt is too firm
June 4, 2014
I guess it depends on the desired sound, but for me, felt is too firm. When doing a roll and swell on cymbals, the individual hits are more clearly defined than the smooth rising effect I wanted, and can be obtained from a softer felt mallet head.

A good mallet to have in your stick bag
April 10, 2016
They're ok, mostly good for orchestra play, rolling cymbal climaxes, and even kettle drums, but the hard head is not for soft-touch playing.
not the best but ok
January 26, 2012
I have been playing for a long time and I needed some cymbal mallets. I put a lot of trust in the name and I am a little disappointed. They work ok, they are a little too stiff and that affects the sound. There is better stuff out there but it will cost more money. The bottom line is you get what you pay for.

I dont like that they send you any color they want
August 31, 2017
I ordered white mallets with black just as the picture shows. I got blue and black. I dont like that they send you any color they want!
Disappointed my kid. :(
December 28, 2016
I did not receive the black and white mallets. They were blue yarn tips and wood colored handles. NOTHING like the product I thought I was buying.
Not your finest hour, huh Zildjian
July 19, 2014
These mallets have very little use as suspended cymbal mallets. The bounce uncontrollably off the cymbal and make rolling with them near impossible. Not your finest hour, huh Zildjian?

One mallet was torn up and completely unusable. Had to return them.
June 6, 2016
Very frustrated. I needed these mallets for an event this weekend. One mallet was find. The other had the yarn half off of it...completely unusable. I am thankful for the return policy....but it looked like someone had cut into it.
The worst ever for a "cymbal Mallet!
June 1, 2012
These mallets handles are made from plastic and the weighting of them is very awkward. They are sold as cymbal mallets but the beater head is too hard for a nice soft starting cymbal roll. I returned them.
