Five Star Reviews: | 46% I use them with my tuning forks and they are great. On time delivery too January 28, 2015 Product was just right. I use them with my tuning forks and they are great. On time delivery too. These mallets are great for soft playing the xylophone or marimba December 13, 2014 These mallets are great for soft playing the xylophone or marimba. When played loudly they have a slight ''punch'' to the articulation yet with a softer quality in the sound. Recommended for a warmer, less percussive tone quality Makes a nice sound! November 23, 2013 I got this product as a back up for a xylophone I got. Not knowing anything about music or playing an instrument, I've had so much fun playing with the kids and learning with these! The sound is soft and sweet with their rubber tips and they are well made! | 44% Have taken up the Glockenspiel as a fun new hobby January 13, 2017 Have taken up the Glockenspiel as a fun new hobby. These are much better than the mallets that came with it. Just right for my son for beginning band December 22, 2016 Good beginner mallets. Exactly what my son needed for beginning band. ... help i can give is that these mallets are sturdy. They are not fragile September 29, 2015 I have no experience with Bell Kits so the only help i can give is that these mallets are sturdy. They are not fragile. They get the job done! They are also cheaper than any music store I could find but just from my point of view they appear to be equal in quality. great mallets August 17, 2015 my 10 yr old daughter really likes these. She is in her school band and works well will her bell kits Just right for school band December 10, 2012 These mallets are just right for my 13 year old who plays in the school band. They are exactly what he needed. |
Four Star Reviews: | 7% Nice softer mallets for bells December 31, 2016 We got these for my son who is playing the bells in elementary band. The ones he had were hard and created very piercing sounds. These ones really mellow it out. It makes the sound quieter and very warm sounding. | 27% Bell kit mallets January 15, 2014 hte mallets worked real well, but after a short time the ball portion of the mallet fell off. We just used super glue to put it back on and it is still holding. They work December 14, 2013 THese are not fancy at all and the price was perfect. It was much easier getting them here than going to buy them. I think we got them like the very next day!!! good quality October 8, 2013 they were a bit long for my 10 year old daughter, but my husband cut them a little bit and they work just fine |
Three Star Reviews: | 13% Wish I had ordered plastic mallets January 15, 2011 These are a good product. But I messed up and ordered rubber when what I really needed was a hard, brittle plastic to get the sharp, piercing tone I was going for out of my set of bells. Oh well. This product is good if what you really want is RUBBER. | 19% Heads keep rollin' November 15, 2016 They work but the ball like heads keeps falling off. Even with light use, it's fallen off at least twice now, despite gluing it back on. It's not the biggest deal in the world, just annoying, especially when it falls off in the middle of a performance, and it rolls off so you're on the hunt for it. The black ball part flew off while in use, ... September 7, 2016 The black ball part flew off while in use, the first time! Going to have to glue it back on I guess These worked great until one of the balls fell off the stick October 26, 2015 These worked great until one of the balls fell off the stick. I will just re-glue, but we only had it a day when it happened. They work fine for our glockenspiel, just the re-glue issue. Mallets October 30, 2012 I'm accustomed to Vic Firth Mallets having the Vic Firth label and mallet model stenciled on the stick in gold lettering. These mallets do not have Vic Firth labeling and the beads seem smaller than those on Vic Firth mallets. Immiation, perhaps? Besides those observations, these mallets are fine for what I need to use them for. |
Two Star Reviews: | 7% Plastic not wood May 1, 2015 These were not as good as the mallets that came with my original bell set. The sticks are plastic not wood. They make a fine practice set because they are also not as loud. So, I will still use them at home but need to buy another set for concerts. Would not buy again. | 3% Real drag. May 14, 2016 I am really annoyed that the ball of one of these drumsticks fell off. It lasted about a week and half. It was being used as a time keeping bell so the use of it was not consistent enough to cause such quick damage. Up until it broke it had worked well. |
One Star Reviews: | 27% They are very poor quality! September 27, 2017 These are soft mallets-NOT designed for bells. They are very poor quality!!!! "0" stars. Not the best Mallets May 10, 2014 These mallets are too soft to use in a school band lesson setting. They do. to produce a loud enough sound unless you really bang them hard, and eve then it. Is mediocre at best. Also the sticks are hollow plastic and in less than a year one has already cracked. Disappointed. Terrible, they melted in the car. August 4, 2010 So I bought 15 pairs of these and I had them in the car in a container and after one afternoon in the car, they melted and and now are all very curved and difficult to use, almost unusable. | 7% one of the worst product January 26, 2017 balls fell off on the same day when we opened/played and these mallets looks Old, one of the worst product Flimsy excuse for mallets September 26, 2015 I'm not an overly aggressive player, but within four months, the heads of both mallets had fallen off. The first one broke on stage and I had to keep going with just the one. Then the same thing happened to the other mallet a few weeks later during a rehearsal. Save your money for somthing more durable. Would not reccommend! November 19, 2013 Mallets arrived quickly, however the tip came off of one mallet after only ONE week of light use. Money wasted since now I have to buy a new pair. |
