Absolutely love this survival kit it was very affordable and has a lot of good things in it if you ever plan on doing anything off the grid you need to have this with you it could save your life or even just like life easier.

This survival kit has everything you could ver want and more. The knife/whistle/flashlight on the top is so cool because it slides out of its mold on the top. The entire thing is really compact and fits perfectly in the glove box of my truck. I can't think of a single bad thing about this product.

I really love this little kit, its small enough not to take up too much room, but has everything you may need in a pinch. You can always add on but this fits nicely whether its the glove box, camping supplies or under the sink. Seems to be well constructed. For the price you can do much better.

Pocket sized, super convenient. I admit I was skeptical when I ordered, thinking the different items would be cheap and cheesy but I am please with the quality. Since it's for emergency, I hope I never have to find out how well it actually works placed in service but gives me peace of mind.

I bought this for my kids 72 hr emergency kit. She is 11 and needs tools that are easy and organized. We went over all the features, how to use the knife, read the booklet inside and everything else. It's small and lightweight. It's a great addition to her go bags we bought a second for my who is a teenager. I may end up getting one for myself.

Just enough items inside to make an effective survival kit and not have it too cumbersome. Just so you know, the flashlight batteries died pretty quickly but I hardly ever used it, just to check if it was still functional. They should ship them uninstalled so they have some life in them. The knife was also pretty dull, sharpen it before hitting the trail.

I got this for someone as a gift and was actually really impressed with the contents when he opened it. The compass keychain alone is really nice. I would say this is definitely worth the money, unlike a lot of other ones out there, and I would buy this again because of the quality and collection of items.

Everything looks of decent quality and the bag that holds all the supplies is the perfect size, not too big or too small! Can't wait to give it to my brother who just recently moved to Colorado and had been doing a lot of hiking and climbing.

Everything included as shown. Very practical and a must have for a prepper, survival, or camping pack. The black carry bag is very small and i suggest you add it to a bigger bag. Very nice product.

Bought for my nephew and he loves it. He's a Boy Scout and his daddy is in the Coast Guard. My brother was pretty impressed with the quality and ordered his own to carry in his truck. That's a military stamp of approval, if you ask me. Lol.

This turned out to be better than I expected. I received it quickly & all items are good quality. Well worth the price! I would definitely buy from seller again, as well as recommend this product to others.

Haven't needed to use it yet, but it seems like a great item. Comes with a lot of stuff and is small enough to stow away in your backpack without weighing too much. I packed in my backpack for the Mighty 5 and forgot I even had when I unpacked at home.

This was the first survival kit that I've bought, so I can't compare it to others on the market, but it seems to be a well-put-together survival kit. The plastic compartment is made of durable material, although, I wouldn't count on it being watertight. The rubber gasket on the lid doesn't seem to seal against the base well enough to make it fully waterproof. Inside, it holds just about everything needed to survive a couple nights out in the woods if you get stranded or lost. With much success, I lit a fire with the sparker and tinder-quik cotton fire starters on the first spark! The knife is really neat; it has a built in high-intensity LED light, with a switch, pointed in the direction of the knife blade to help you see as you are cutting or carving at night, and it has an integrated whistle on the rear to alert a near-by rescuer of your approximate position. In the bottom portion of the container, there's some fishing tackle, small diameter cord, and steel line that can be used for fishing, traps, snares, and shelters. The top portion contains literature on wilderness survival techniques, a large signal mirror, and how-to guide for the kit. I use the signal mirror to see when I'm putting my contacts in my eyes and to put on camoflauge face paint for hunting. This is a great compact survival kit for any backpacker!

it was an awesome tool and i found the pieces and parts all in perfect condition i bought it for my survival bagafter looking through it it seems to be good for much more than that, i played around with it for a while and all of the parts were extra usefull including the flashlight which, while a bit spotty on brightness worked quite well

Great little piece of personal Survival Kit.Does leak a little but doesn't take away it's effectiveness.However on looking to use the Signalling mirror, instructions are vague in regard as to removal of the black striping across the mirror before use! needs qualifying urgently!There is still a fair bit of room to add or personalize this kit which is good!Knife and torch combo good idea and knife holds it's edge very well!Don't know whether Survival instruction sheet is weatherproof? but needs to be!Otherwise a good pocket size survival kit

I like this product from AMK it covers almost all of your survival needs in this little box. It comes with a Knife embedded with an emergency whistle and led flashlight, signal mirror built into the top of the box, removable compass, Fire Lite firestarter, TinderQuik fiestarting tinder, 150lb-test braided nylon cord, mil-spec stainless steel wire, Buck Tilton’s survival instructions and an emergency sewing and fishing kit. You can also add some items you feel are necessary. Now this is not the end all be all survival kit but it's better to have it than be without it. If you need something small to put in a backpack or glove box in the car car this is it. Buy it.

Pretty cool kit. The only thing I didn't like was the material of the bag. For being a survival kit you'd think it would be a little tougher material. Everything else is great though!

Added this to my bug-out bag and everything seemed reasonably good for the price paid.

good kit for the money

My 16 yr old son loved this as a christmas gift . I only wish it came with some kind of organized tackle box to present it to him to him better.and keep safer in his hiking bag.

Lots of items in this little pouch, luckily haven't had to use them yet though.

I liked the product, nice packaging, however, the deduction was due to the fact that I did not get any fishing hooks in the package at all.

I bought this on accident somehow. So I put it in my glove box. A few months later I gave that truck away and I took this with me when I noticed the flashlight stopped working. And the Flint in the firestarter turned to green dust and fell out when I tried to spark it. I don't know if I'll ever need anything in this kit but those would of been the two things in this kit I'd be most likely to use. The box is cool tho.

It's got a lot of features for the price, but you could buy the individual items and make your own. Also by making your own it would be smaller and lighter. This unit is a little bulky and heavy.

Nice compact packaging with the essentials you'll need. My only gripe is that I expected more in depth information in survival tips mini manual.

It has opened upon dropping it before, great kit but I have all pieces improved upon in my pack, still very nicely put together and would help if needed, bulky but pocket sized

I must have gotten the last one in the warehouse, since I got two chain pull-saws and no multicard.

Everything was as expected, except for the flashlight that was broken and the missing survival bracelet. Other then that love the multi tool and mosquito net.

Not what I expected. But it is okay, so many small tools and stuff.

The contents of the kit are great but the velvet bag that it comes in labeled "survival kit" is pretty cheesy and I will not be giving the bag as a gift- had to literally go and buy something else to put the kit in.

Of the two I received, one had dead batteries. No response from SOL from emails. Poor customer service.

Not the quality expected from SOL. Firestarter would not be realiable,in the clutch. Bear Grylls Ultimate Survival pouch has much more for less $$

Would love to give this a better score, but the rubber seal on the light switch has already detached. Great idea though, a great pocket kit. Just needs better workmanship

I bought this kit as a travel kit and supplement to my survival bag. The carry case is solid and compact. However the compass is weak and requires a very level and still surface. I compared it to another compass and it tended to give a wrong bearing unless it was perfectly aligned and given a minute or two to adjust. The built in light to the knife worked but was low power. Good to illuminate the object your a cutting but not much more. The safety whistle works but is a little fussy about lip/mouth placement to get a loud sound.

Very disappointed in quality here. I get that you get what you pay for but this kit is got all the right stuff just most is super low quality. You could do better even at this price point!

Overall this kit is cool. It has neat features, but the thermometer in my kit doesn't work. Everything seems kind of cheap. I don't think it's worth 25 dollars.

Missing and broken items

Poorly packaged. Don't like the fact that it comes in a black velvet bag. Had to find some actual cases to put the whole kit in once unpacked everything in its contents.

The flashlight/whistle is a joke. The whistle doesn't work and the only way to turn the light on/off is to screw/unscrew the cap, not very practical. Carabiners are very small, keychain sized. The bracelet is nice but will not be wearable for a large person. The fishing kit appears to be OK. Probably better off to buy emergency items separately and make your own kit.

First three times I tested the firestarter I got three got showers of sparks. Fourth time the wheel broke off and a metal rod hit me in the side of the face.

Worthless, Defective and Overpriced. Returned to Amazon within 5 minutes of opening the shipping box.

Latch broke within a month

I received mine a couple of days ago and was surprised at the quality of this kit. I have bought a ton of other survival kits in the past and was almost always satisfied with them even after doing research on them. I don't know if the battery on top of the knife died that powers the flashlight but the LED light was super dim. Dim as in, I tried using in in total darkness and couldn't see anything, not even the knife. The compass had a lot of air bubbles in it and it doesn't even give a correct reading. I tried holding it in my hand, putting it on level surfaces and still it wouldn't give a correct reading. I would move the compass about 5 inches to the left or right and the directional arrows would turn randomly 180degrees even though I didn't rotate it or anything. The clasp that closes the kit together snapped off the first day. Also, the run channels that make the kit waterproof aren't fully aligned because there are gaps when I would close the kit before the main clasp broke off. I am not happy with this profuct. Maybe I got a defective one (a lemon) but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and will not buy it in the future.

I ordered one of these for a bug out bag.It may be worth $5.00, not what I paid forit. I would return it except the packing slip was thrown away before I inspected the tool.- Case will not close- Compass does not work- Whistle is very softI seldom write bad reviews for anything, butthis "tool" is worthless!Lasthiker

Didn't expect a survival bag to be made out of felt. Does not pass survival or logic test.

Could have put this kit together for under $10.

Not even close to being worth $24, I don't know what I was thinking buying this. The flashlight/whistle is equal to what you might get as a giveaway keychain light, the fishing line is really too big (lb. test) to be used for "survival" off the bank fishing, tested the cord saw on a small bush and broke on 10th back and forth pull. The quality of most of the items is somewhat like what you see on the counter at a convenient store/gas station. I strongly recommend buying your own parts and making your own kit for less.

Waste of money for what it is.

Just received my Kit. It's Missing the Fire starter bracelet . Regardless of how good everything else may appear. It is incomplete. That is why I am giving it 1 star. I have email Leknes. I will see how long it will take for them to correct this problem. Send me the missing item.
