this crate is perfect for creating a cozy little cave
September 9, 2017
First off, I did not buy this crate to contain my dog throughout the day, so I can't comment on whether it would hold up to the tactics of an escape artist. I actually ended up removing the doors with a pair of pliers because they were just getting in the way. That being said, this crate is perfect for creating a cozy little cave. My dog weighs 28 pounds, and the 36" size provides plenty of space for her to spread out. This crate doesn't seem as heavy duty as some of the more expensive ones I've seen, but I definitely wouldn't call it flimsy either. If you're just looking to make your dog a place where they can feel cozy and safe, rather than a sturdy prison cell, then this crate is perfect :)
Pretty standard, great price
June 25, 2017
This has been a great crate for my dog, We keep it in the bedroom so she can sleep near us. It is easy to assemble, and has held up nicely. She doesn't really ram it or try to get out in any way, so I cannot comment on the sturdiness of that. She goes there to sleep and doesn't hesitate whether it is kept open or closed. You can get a standard sized mat for it, and water dish, and all is well. Thanks!

July 15, 2016
Bought this for my dog when she decided it was great fun to tear apart anything made of paper when we were not home. This thing is HUUUGE. Just be aware, I didn't realize how big it was even by looking at the measurements. But for us, the big size is a good thing. When we crate the dog, she has room to stand and move around a little bit. Her beanbag bed fits in perfect and she has room to not be on the bed if she wants as well. The set up is amazingly easy, and it comes down just as simply. The latches can be a pain sometimes, because they get caught up in the bars of the kennel, but it's not enough to for me to remove stars. I like this enough that I've also recommended it to several other people, as the price is amazing, especially compared to pet store prices.
Can't speak for large, anxious dogs, but wonderful for my dog and a great price
May 23, 2016
Excellent size for my dog. I have a 30lb mixed breed who hates being kenneled, but the extra space helps. Other reviewers state that their dogs can destroy the bars and escape, but at least for my dog, this is not a problem. I did leave the bottom latch on one door undone once, and the bars were flexible enough that he squeezed through somehow (20lb at the time). I came home to a loose dog (no harm done) and a still-closed crate; took me a minute to figure out that one latch was still open. Because the cage has smaller gauge bars, it's light enough that I can carry it without too much trouble compared to other crates of the same size I have had to deal with at work.
Easy setup/tear down. Versatile with two doors. Solid floor/bottom.
September 22, 2015
No assembly required. Just had to take it out of the box and unfold it. Collapses back down easily if we need to transport/move it.The floor/bottom is pretty sturdy plastic. In the past month that we've had it, we haven't noticed any damage to the plastic from the dogs claws, etc. Only downside is that when the dogs claws scrape on the plastic bottom it can be a little oud. I didn't subtract a star for that as it's a personal preference. The floor is probably plastic for dogs that aren't house trained and might have an 'accident' in the crate. We just bought a cheap dog blanket/mat and put it down in the crate to reduce the noise and make it more comfortable for her. It's so spacious compared to the last one we had that she actually voluntarily goes to her crate to sleep, chew on toys, etc.One thing I love is the two separate doors, so when we put it in the corner we can have it 'width ways' or 'long ways'
Love It, Surpassed Expectations
June 15, 2014
I was skeptical of this crate because I had read the reviews, and a lot of them complained about the same issues. However, I was on a budget, so I needed something inexpensive. I didn't expect this crate to be perfect because it is so cheap compared to other crates, but I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The metal tray slides out easily and is very easy to clean. It also doesn't hold any kind of odor after cleaning. The crate is sturdy despite being foldable, and the handle is tougher than I expected. I have had minimal issues with the latches, and I absolutely love the three door design. Though some reviewers called this create "lightweight," it's actually much heavier than I expected it to be. I actually have trouble moving it around when it is not folded. Perhaps, the quality of this crate has been improved recently because I really see nothing "flimsy" about this crate. It has been very durable so far. That being said, dogs are very powerful biters, so if you have an extreme chewer, you would probably make a safer investment by purchasing a more expensive, heavy duty crate. Otherwise, this crate won't disappoint. The one thing I want to mention is that mine did not come with a divider. Other reviewers mentioned their crate arriving with a divider, but since it is not advertised as having one, I don't have any issue with one not being included. My 5 month old GSD mix is very satisfied with the space, and she has a lot of room left to grow.

Pretty decent - not as sturdy as pet store brands.
April 16, 2017
This isn't as sturdy as the original model that I bought at Feeder's Supply but it was less expensive and the same size. We have two large Weimeraners and wanted to get an extra crate so we could take the end sections off two of them and zip tie them together (our dogs can't be left out when we leave as they are very destructive even though they have plenty to chew on) so that they could be together or have their own spaces if they preferred. It's a great item since it holds up to their weight and strength for the most part but anyone who has Weimeraners knows how determined they can be and ours actually broke the soldering at some of the joints and bent the prongs on some of the bar sections so we had to bend them back or break them off to make it safe and turn the crates the other direction towards the wall where too many prongs are missing now.
Big enough to sleep with the puppy
October 10, 2016
There aren't many options if you have a giant breed and a normal budget. I have used these before for Great Danes and I am using this one now for my Mastiff. If you have a dog this large, crate training isn't really an option if you value having things like couches, doors and blinds. Start young, feed meals in the crate (Gus excitedly runs to his crate when he sees me with his food bowl or his night time treat now), go a couple restless nights while puppy acclimates to being away from his litter and you will be golden.
Easy-up for the pups
June 8, 2016
My giants (Great Dane and Saint Bernard) each have this same crate and fit great. They sleep in it every night. We also purchased a rectangular orthopedic dog bed to lay on the bottom. The hinges to secure the door can be a little cumbersome. It needs to slide over then down yet the metal gets a bit flimsy and can get stuck. This can be very difficult for someone dog sitting for you.My favorite part is how easy it is to set up and to fold back down. It flattens to about 3" height then has a handle for easy transporting. No parts to disassemble! Takes us 30 seconds to put up and down.

Easy to clean, great size.Update, my dog busted this thing up pretty good on Friday. I guess he wanted to get out so, he figured a way out. He tore through the plastic, hehad already chewed the edges a few months ago. He pushed the liner out then somehow he got out the bottom. When I got home from work he was at the door. Thr crate was pretty good up to this point and My husband bent everything back into place however, we need a new liner and we need to see if he will chew through bottom again. I still give it 4 stars you cant help a bored/anxious doggie for the damage.
Good size for long-distance travel for small pet
January 21, 2014
Had to travel cross country with my cat in my van and wanted to ensure she didn't get too traumatized. All I needed was 1500 miles of distressed meowing. This size worked great. Her round carpeted cat bed/perch needed to fit (her security blanket), along with her scratching post (her other security blanket), a small litter pan and enough room leftover for a little stretching. Water and food bowls hung from the walls and I put a piece of carpet on the metal flooring for comfort and to lessen any rattling that might occur. This size cage comes with a divider but I didn't need it for my situation. I blocked off a small portion for the litter box and used the premium multi-cat litter to lessen any cat smell. It all worked like a charm. She had no problems during the trip. Even when we got to our new house, she preferred sleeping in it while she got used to her new surroundings. An excellent size to have on hand; easy to fold up for storing. Would fit my 35 lb dog fine if he needed it. As cages go, this one was pretty inexpensive so the wire isn't as substantial as perhaps a more expensive one would be but there are no rough ends and it all fits together well.
Acceptable crate but could be better
March 1, 2013
This is a pretty good crate. It weighs 30 pounds, so it's light enough considering it is metal. It is very sturdy when set up, and although it is not the easiest crate I've seen to fold down, it is not difficult. Also I strongly prefer a metal pan over a plastic one - somehow they seem easier to clean and they stay cool in hot weather provided you keep it in shade. This crate's selling point for me was the fact that it is 26 inches tall. Most crates of this kind are 24 or 25" high. But my dog is tall and needs a 27" high crate, but my space is very limited so I did not want to get the next size up as those are much longer. I wish they'd make a taller crate for tall dogs as I don't think making it 27" high would weaken the design of this crate. But at 26" it is better than any others I could find and is doable. My main gripes though is that I wish the side door was hinged on the other side of the opening. My dog is out of a kennel and appreciates having a crate to nap in, so I intended to leave it set up with one door open at all times so he could use it as he wished. But since the door opens at the end of the crate with the hinge near the corner, that left the door sticking out for me to trip over as I passed by (I'm blind). If the hinge were on the other side the door could fold back against the side of the crate when opened. Also the sliding bolt latch is not that simple to use. You have to slide the two bolts across one at a time and I often had to jiggle the gate to get the bolts lined up so they'd slide over. I've seen a better design where the sliding bolt was oriented vertically and you lifted it up and slid it into 2 locking rings in one smooth motion. I would have preferred that design. Also the carrying handle is pathetic. It's so cheap and thin that I'm surprised it can support the 30lbs weight when you want to move this thing! This crate makes an acceptable household crate. I like that it is fairly easy to fold down and can be stored away to make more room for guests or to take along on a long trip. But it is not quite so simple to handle so it does not lend itself well to shows or such situations where the crate will need to be moved often.

Great unless you have a husky!
February 5, 2017
I bought this crate for my husky puppy. Wishing 2 weeks, he broke through the door (as in chewed through it). The company sent me a new door panel right away, but he destroyed that one after another 2 weeks. This is a crate for calm dogs, not chewers! If you have a calm, large dog, get this crate! If your dog has separation anxiety, or just really hates crates, get something more heavy duty. I was extremely pleased with how nice the company was when I asked for another panel. They were very accommodating and understanding. If I ever wind up with a calm dog, I will be getting this crate again. Until then, it's doggy Fort Knox...
Not bad
April 29, 2016
A little on the flimsy side so if your dog is large and determined to get out they will but if your dog is properly crate trained already then it is a good crate. I have a very large German Shepherd 8 month old puppy and she has plenty of room.
Decent Product Cheaply Made
April 21, 2016
First, this cage is massive exactly what I want and needed. Sometimes I'm away from home long periods of time and I have to lock my pup away because he's deaf and could wander into traffic or something. He's about 6 months and weighs around 25 lbs. He has a ton of space.I guess to keep the price so cheap, the actual bars are thin and pretty easy to break. My small pup actually broke a few pieces off the bottom of the cage. He's also bent the entire cage out of shape a bit. Its still intact but definitely not in perfect condition after a month.Overall, it works for me.
Great design, some material issues
April 27, 2015
Love the 3 door access, removable tray and size of crate. I ordered the same product from Amazon a few years back and LOVE it. However, this newer one that I just ordered does not seem to be made to the same high quality as the original that I purchased. It is bent in a few places, some rust on it, and the bending joints aren't as smooth, I would not return this product over these things but I don't know why it would not be the same quality.
Metal not sturdy!
April 17, 2015
The size of the crate is okay and will house a large breed dog such as a shepherd with ease, BUT if you have a dog who wants to get out, eventually the dog will tear the crate apart!! See picture. The metal is just not strong enough. If your dog is mellow then the crate will be just right. If not get something that will last for more than 2 months!
Good for an older or very well-trained dog
April 5, 2015
Good for an older or very well-trained dog, but not a strong, rambunctious one.We use these crates for cats for a cat shelter, so it's less problematic that this crate is not-so-sturdy than it would be were a large dog in it. We have purchased a half dozen of these crates But we had to take one of our young male cats out of one of them and move him to one of our stronger dog crates because if the lower latch wasn't locked as well as the top and he was able to push his way out of it. And he only weighs 10 pounds. But for a dog that is well-trained to the crate, we would recommend it highly. The price is excellent, takes five minutes to set up and is easy to clean. We would actually rate this 3.5.

Poor craftsmanship. Ok for calm dog.
May 11, 2017
Extremely flimsy. Usually when you set one of these up, it doesn't wobble, but this shifts everytime my dog moves. Shotty looking welds, crooked grating, and the doors look like they'll fall off if touched too much. With that being said, I needed something my dog could lay in while I am sleeping and where he could see me. So this works. I absolutely would not trust it to contain him if he wanted out. If you have a dog that just needs a safe place to sleep but not something to contain them, than this is a good cheap alternative to the nicer ones you can purchase for more money.

Very flimsy. My 5 month old standard poodle is constantly breaking out.My plastic bottom was broken too when received. I would invest in a stronger kennel.
The material is not as thick and sturdy as other brands I have used
February 2, 2017
This crate is very flimsy and we've had to reinforce parts of it to be sure it doesn't bend. The material is not as thick and sturdy as other brands I have used. This crate is for very large breed dogs but not sturdy enough to safely contain a strong dog. Fortunately it works well for crate training our Golden Retriever but if he didn't love being in his crate I'd be worried.

June 28, 2016
Very large cage, best price you'll get for this size, The metal grating on top will sag just a hair but being lightweight and wide you can't really help that or you sacrifice maneuverability of the cageUPDATED REVIEWI've had this cage for four months, it is very oversized for the 7 month old puppy that is in it. The construction of the cage has now shown to be very poor and week as it has bent and snapped in multiple locations on the cage.Very unsatisfied with the longevity and construction of this cageI left at 2 stars only being that the price was cheap.I guess once again you get what you pay for
poor craftsmanship
July 7, 2015
Cheaply made would not recommend this cage for a dog that likes to break out of enclosures, also some of the wiring is detached , poor craftsmanship.Thats why we say you get what you pay for .
Good Customer Service, But Not a Good Product
June 16, 2015
I received the product in a "damaged state" but the seller was really good at responding to all my concerns in a timely manner. I decided to work with the seller and keep the crate because of the size and price. I also needed the crate because our dog was arriving the following day. Regardless, the crate is not as strong as I'd hope and the side door does not lock easily. I have to wiggle and lift the side door slightly to get it open (probably because of the damage it arrived in), but you can also tell it's not really sturdy because if you place something in the center of the top of the cage, it dips slightly (I put four medium dog bath towels). I've seen a lot of better crates since I was a foster before becoming an owner and I would not recommend this product for a big strong dog (i.e. pit bull, boxer, amstaff, etc). I haven't had this problem, but I can see a dog damaging or hurting itself on it if he/she really wanted to get out. It might work for lighter and smaller dogs.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
June 4, 2016
Do not waste your money on this crate. The measurements are not even accurate to what they posted in the description. The headline says with metal pan. The description says hard plastic. It's real flimsy material and is to small. My small pets can not use it because they get there paws caught in the bottom because the plastic junk of a pan is too short. I also contacted the seller with my reasonable complaint and they haven't even responded. I sent it the day of recieving. I could have done a better job making this crate out of chicken wire. It was bent anyway when I pulled it out of the box. This item doesn't even deserve a single star. Very pissed off customer!
NO! BAD CRATE!!
June 2, 2016
We bought this crate for a new puppy thinking it was the same crate we had purchased previously for our other dog (since Amazon linked me to it when I tried to "buy again". It was not the same. A three month old 25 lb puppy was able to break the welds on the bars and bend the bars up. Some pointing directly into the crate, others bent all the way up. All in just a few hours. And the bottom pan is not metal. It's cheap plastic that warped after being washed and left to dry in the sun...in March. It's garbage. Don't waste your money or put your dog at risk.
Flimsy, Lightweight Junk
May 11, 2016
Does NOT have a Metal Pan as the description states. Very flimsy, can't put my 30lb bulldog in here. I bought the identical one 5 years ago, same size and brand. I still have that one, it is great. This one weighs left than half of what the other weighs, the wire gauge is light and will be easily bent. They cost about the same. I am returning it though the return shipping is half the cost again. Disappointing.
Edited... Again
April 1, 2016
Really good value. It set up in seconds, is sturdy and the second door gives you more options to fit in tight spaces. Nothing to complain about. Mine did come with a divider.Edited to add that my 35lb mini Aussie was able to bend the wire enough that the gates don't close tightly making it easier and easier for him to bend every time he is in there. I thought I should add that since some people were asking if it is sturdy. If your dogs don't paw or throw a fit in the kennel then this is a great deal. But I bought it for my dog with separation anxiety and he has been tearing it up while we are away.3rd rewrite. My bent this gate enough to get out and tear up our house. It is 100% bot sturdy enough for an anxious or determined dog.
