| Super value for really great bags!!July 17, 2017 I bought these bags to go with my Foodsaver model V2244 vacuum sealer. I hadn't used it much because the Foodsaver bags were so expensive. I found these on Amazon at a very reasonable price. They are really good quality, nice size, and seal very well. I do buy meats in bulk and also seasonal produce that I freeze -- this is so much easier than the zipper lock bags, and the vacuum seal keeps the items from getting freezer burn. I will definitely buy these bags again. I purchased both the quart 8" x 12" and pint 6" x 10" sizes. froze sweet corn in themMay 31, 2017 I ordered same package last year....froze sweet corn in them. Works perfect and keeps corn very fresh.Also, seal leftovers in them to reheat for a meal at a later time.So, this is my second order and I will keep on ordering them as they are a good quality bag and much less expensive than others. Can't beat these.April 13, 2017 These are the best bags available both for storage and value. They are a nice heavy weight. After using several hundred of these bags, I have yet to have a failure.I not only use them for freezing but also to store dehydrated items, antiques, jewelry and a lot more.I have all the sizes but find I use the 8 x 12 bags the most.I will continue to buy this brand. Great SavingsJanuary 18, 2017 This is the 3rd time I've ordered these bags. They do very well with my Food Saver machine. I get the majority of my food for the month at the military commissary so I put up quite a lot at one time. Using the presealed bags makes it go quite a bit faster. There is also the savings by getting the bags from Amazon. You get more for a lot less than even buying bags from Walmart. I will continue to order these bags as long as I have a lot to put up at one time. They also save expensive cuts of meat from freezer burn which also saves a lot of money. I also put up bulk cheese, cereal, even soups and they work every time. *UPDATE July 30* Bad bags. They do NOT work with my Foodsaver. UPDATE! Replacement bags work!June 30, 2016 I purchased these in May and recently used some to repack bulk meat and none of them worked in my Foodsaver. The biggest reason I was hesitant to get a FoodSaver vacuum sealing system was because I wasn't sure it would actually save me money by buying in bulk and then freezing, being as how expensive the rolls of bags were. I also found them annoying to cut, seal, then load up and seal the other end - it takes time for the machine to cool down so it was time consuming and just frustrating.I bought these bags to avoid that - they come pre-cut, pre-sealed at one end, and are ready to go!! They seal just as well as the FoodSaver brand as well.My only complaint is that they're pretty big (which isn't really a complaint! Haha), but they easily fold over. The description does have measurements, but I just went off the "quart size" part of the description, so I was surprised to see how big these are. I prepare and store 2-3 chicken breasts per bag, and I had room to easily double that amount per bag... But they weren't big enough to cut in half (or they wouldn't have enough extra bag to properly seal)... So I ended up sealing and folding. However, for my purposes, I am going to see if they offer smaller bags for my next purchase, just to avoid the waste on the environment.Here are some photos of my bulk chicken buy and how I store it with these bags! Suggest you buy directly from Food Vac Bags.May 8, 2017 The bags seal well and hold their seals. I can wash and reuse these bags many times. These bags are far superior to Food Saver bags, which work fine the first time you use them and then frequently do not hold their seals. Incidentally, I find the best way to wash bags is to cut off the sealed end, so that you do not have to work at getting food residue out of bag corners.I bought 100 bags, consisting of two packages of 50 bags. Amazon, for their convenience, then placed these two packages in another bag, and sealed it so that none of the bags lay flat, but were curled up at the ends. When I opened them, they would not lay flat, even after placing them under heavy books.In the past I have purchased bags directly from Food Vac Bags. They send bags is a correctly sized box which is useful for storing the bags. The bags lay flat. If there is a problem with an order, you speak directly to an American in their small business and they are very responsive. By contrast, when I had a problem with an Amazon order in the past, their customer no-service department, gave me no satisfaction. "Great Value" (pun intended)April 26, 2017 Awesome! Ridiculous. Save $ and buy these! I love these they are nice and big great for corn ...April 10, 2017 I love these they are nice and big great for corn on the cob or a huge mess of fish. Especially bass or something you want to freeze in one piece for the grill. They are great to marinate chicken over night also. Just seal the top and it will lay flat in the refrigerator. I freeze fish with the salt water I just seal not vacuum them and they hold the water no leaks just make sure the top is wiped off with a towel or paper towel so it is dry where the sealer will get hot enough. I do it twice just to be on the safe side. Who is a good bag? You are, you are a good bag!March 6, 2017 Bags seem to be holding up well. Working in the freezer and in Sous Vide baths. I have not had any issues with the edges I did not seal. Good product at a good price.The gallon bags are much bigger than I expected them to be. They are almost too big to be useful for most things. They are a great compliment to Quart size bags and are handy when you need them rather than cutting up a piece of meat or partitioning into two or three other smaller bags. These and the quart size are amazing!December 12, 2016 Vac Seal bags aren't sexy but the time they saved me made me think of them in a new light. We decided to order a whole cow from a local ranch that does the whole grass fed organic thing. We got a big discount (50 cents a pound) discount if we vacuum packed them ourselves. I was dreading it- thinking of all the work to make bags from rolls. I found these quart and gallon sizes and ordered them. The packing only took 3 hours for 380 pounds of beef. Some were used to package steaks that were purchased in bulk, before freezing. I always add dry seasonings and herbs to the meat before vacuum sealing. In this way, as they thaw, they begin to marinate. Others were used to vacuum seal foods that I put into my Sous Vide. They work perfectly, both hot and cold. | | |

| Problem with some productSeptember 5, 2017 I've been ordering these bags for awhile. They work really well with my Cabelas vacuum sealer. I have used 100's of them. The latest batch I received though have an issue with about 25% of the bags - they are sealed on both ends. I have to cut the top off of each bag to use them. Very frustrating. | Not as I expectedSeptember 16, 2017 Took very long to get them and they are thin compared to others I have used. Had several packages refill with air due to small punctures from the food I was sealing and had to use a new bag and reseal. I will not be ordering these again. I was disappointed in these bagsAugust 7, 2017 I was disappointed in these bags. They are much larger than a quart sized bag. But they probably should be since the bag needs plenty of space for the vacuum sealer to remove the air from the bag. These bags do not seal well. The bag struggles to seal and in the meantime, pulls a lot of liquids out of the food product. These are definitely "generic" and do not work well with my name brand vacuum sealer. My sealer works well with its own named brand bags. I will not mention my sealer's product name. Trouble sealingAugust 4, 2017 I've used these bags successfully for a number of years but it may be that what they are currently shipping is defective. They will seal, but not if there is moisture between the layers, an often-unavoidable situation. After struggling with a new batch of these bags, I finally gave up and bought FoodSaver bags at the grocery store. They worked much better, although moisture was still a problem.----------My FoodSaver bags worked fine but I ran out with two batches of beans left to freeze. Using VacSeal bags, those last two bags took fifteen minutes and multiple tries to close and I never got a decent seal on either one. I even tried using a propane torch. Hint: not a good idea :) The quilted portion on FoodSaver bags feels more substantial and has a different pattern. Also, my sealing machine is failing and it may be that the brand name bags adapt better to this. Hmm..June 3, 2017 Can't seem to get these to seal correctly, despite other brands working just fine. I recommend sticking with food saver. Not quite the ones for me.September 16, 2016 I purchased these bags to go with my new Seal-a-meal and today tried them out on broccoli. First I tried the bags that came with the Seal-a-meal and they worked fine. Then I tried the FoodVacBags. They simply would not seal if there was ANY presence of moisture. I would get a 98% seal and then there was a leak. I then decided to just immediately re-seal the edge in another spot without the vacuum and that worked but I am disappointed. The specs say that they can be used with counter top type sealers.On the good side... they are heavy and seem like a good value but they are making work for me. Hope you have better luck.
