I'm pretty much in love with these
July 23, 2017
I'm pretty much in love with these. Our home has zero storage space so these have become sooooo useful! Our new sofa came with pillows I didn't like but my husband wanted to keep...in the vacuum bag. My maternity clothes...in the vacuum bag. Baby clothes...in the vacuum bag. It's flat enough to slide under the bed so when we have our next child we can just pop them open and tah-da!!! I'm not sure how the cube is a cube but we could still fit 4 throw pillows in it
Marvelous way to get extra space!
May 4, 2016
When it comes to saving some space inside an apartment, especially when you live in a big city and you do not have enough of it, Ziploc is the solution to it.This review is for the Ziploc Space Bag 15 Bag Space Saver Set where you have 1 Jumbo 35"x48", 3 Extra-Large 26.5"x39.5", 4 Large 21.5"x33.5" and 4 Medium 18"x22.5". Also, you have 2 Suitcase Travel Roll-Up Bag 18"x22.5" and 1 Carry-on Roll-Up Bags 13.5"x19.5" useful for traveling purposes. This set helps me I'd say saving 2/3 of space. Even after few months of use I haven't found any bag leak. I would totally recommend this set to anyone in need of extra space or to someone who needs to move frequently from one place to another.
They Suck - in the Best Way Possible!
May 19, 2015
I'm a general contractor, and yet, between blankets and quilts and comforters and flannel shirts and such like, I've got a lot of fluffy stuff around the house - stuff that needs to be stored when not in use. If space were no issue, no problem. But space *is* an issue - pretty much the primary issue. So, enter the Space Saver Set. And my 105-inch-water-lift commercial shop vac. My vac rocks, let it be known. It's very, very powerful. And in combination with these bags, I've found that I can reduce the volume of space occupied by fluffy things up to 80%. Down-based items shrink the most; denser fabric items not so much. Even my heavy-duty commercial-grade movers blankets shrink down substantially. That said, these are not commercial-grade bags - they are thin enough to conform to their new shrunken shape, but they are also thin enough that they can be torn by the plastic slider(!). Also, doing the math, these things are quite expensive. But, damn, it's fun to watch stuff suck down to just a fraction of its normal size! Instant gratification for sure!**UPDATE**: It's been about a week since I sealed everything up, and it all looks good. I'm guessing that those folks with leakage issues probably didn't manage to seal the bag properly to begin with or managed to tear the bag slightly while handling - both are fairly easy to do.
Amazing for moving.
November 3, 2014
Saved a fortune compared with what U-Haul was charging! (We used these to move in September) The few we haven't unpacked are still holding shape a couple of months later, not sure how they'd work for long term but they saved us sooooooooo much space in the moving truck it was completely worth it.They also seal up well so that while lots of things ended up dusty and gross coming out of the truck everything we "space bagged" was clean. We even fit a 1.5" thick queen sized memory foam in the biggest one and the back cushions from the sofa. We may have had a little too much fun packing after these arrived. Hubby and I must have no life, we were fighting over who got to suck the air out of the next bag and dashing around trying to figure out what else we could repack in these things. *cough* loser *cough*Downsides: They wrinkle things up pretty bad. Don't put anything that can't be washed or ironed just in case, our bed pillows didn't 100% puff back up (but they were those crappy cheapest-in-the-already-discount-store kind of pillows) But all of our nicer pillows and sofa pillows bounced back. Give 'em some time. **IMPORTANT** You definitely have to go over the seals again once you zip them, it's not hard, they're basically giant heavy duty Ziplocs. And make sure your vacuum hose is lined up properly before you start suction and turn it off before pulling away. I ripped part of one like that, even though it still worked fine I have a feeling it won't last as long as the others.
Huge space saver, I'm buying more!
July 1, 2014
I confess, I am a shopaholic, and as such I have many bedding sets, pillows, winter clothes, and kids toys that must be stored away till time to be used again. I love this set! You get 15 bags and they are not all of the tiny crappy ones that you really can't even fit stuff into either. You get Jumbo, XXL, XL, Large, Medium and a few travel bag and roll up bags, but even if they left everything under the Med. size out, it would still be a better deal at this price than the 12 pack that Amazon also sells, because you get larger bags. My daugther went through a Build-A-(animal) phase and we had tons of those critters, and at $20-$40 each you don't want to just throw them out, so we decided to make sure they were clean for her baby sister we would space bag them. They now take of a fraction of the space and are sealed, water and bug proof. I am ordering a second box of these today to store away winter clothes instead of buying those big bulky totes.
Whoever invented these is genius!
December 22, 2013
I had a bunch of bags in my closet filled with clothes for whichever season I wasn't in. Then I bought these and now my clothes are neatly stacked in the top part of my closet. These make me feel so super organized.Great for travel! I just took a trip on USAir and they charge you either $25 or $35 for the first checked bag so I decided that I was going to only go with two carry-ons to avoid the extra fee. I used a medium size zip-loc bag, put it in the carry-on suitcase, then filled it with the bulkier items like fleece pants, hoodie and sweater, etc. and sucked out all the air. The end result was that my bulky items took up way less space and fit in the suitcase quite well. I just had to make sure that the person I was going to visit had a vacuum with a hose so I could vacuum seal the bag for the return flight.

Great Vacuum Seal Bags at a Great Price.
September 3, 2016
I really like these bags. I have ordered these (both the 8" and 11" double roll packs and in combo packs) several times over the past two years. Although they are usually only described as Commercial Vacuum Seal bags or Commercial Bargain Bags, the ones I have received have always been produced by a company called Out Of Air which is a member of Darwin LLC. But I have always had good service with these bags. If you look up the info on these, they are 4 Mil thick. They also come with the textured back side which is slightly thicker. This is the same thickness as the more expensive name brands Heavy Duty and Heavy Duty Boil "N" Microwave bags. A lot of your other saver type vacuum seal bags standard size is 2 mil thick. So these are more than adequate for most of your uses. Plus, I have even stored boney items like Pork Ribs and Beef Country Style bone-in ribs and so far have not had one puncture the sides. The Vacuum seal machine I am using is a two year old Food Saver V3220 and I've never had an issue with it sealing these bags. So if you seal a lot of items and want a better price alternative to the name pricier brand bags, give these a try.
Very good Sous Vide bags
August 15, 2016
Great bags for sous vide. They seal well in my Food Saver device. You need to be careful that the bag stays flat at the sealing strip to eliminate folds in the seal that will leak. It helps to give yourself an additional inch or so in length to facilitate that so the bulge of the food in the bag is not hear the heating strip. Since these bags are cheaper than OEM I do not mind the additional waste as much. The only leak I have had is a bag tearing in the freezer with clumsy storage and handling. Now I inspect the bag closely before I put it in the bath.I used to use more 11 inch bag material than 8, but I now use a lot of this size. It fits better in the bath and the size is better for individual bagging of single pieces. The seal is more secure since it is shorter. The price per square inch is about the same.

My sealing success with national name brand bags and rolls was very lackluster. I was not pleased that my food aka "time and money" was being wasted by inferior seals not keeping everything air tight.I decided to take a chance on these"off brand" rolls. I timed their arrival with my weekly huge cooking marathon of meals and putting up my CSA produce. W-O-W !!!!These rolls are much thicker material than any other I have tried. I followed the advice of another reviewer and used them writing side up - exactly as they come off the roll.Still 100% success which makes my wallet sing every time I look in my freezer. I have a Nesco American Harvest food sealer - but I have no doubt these will work with any dealer.Wonderful product!!
Great Deal!
October 25, 2015
Wow! This is a great value. We have enough bag material to seal our food and leftovers for a long time. We have an old Kenmore sealing machine and we're always conservative using it due to the cost of bags. When we buy the bagging material in the store, it costs $10.00 for a little boxwhen it's on sale (not very often). Now I have 100 feet for a couple of dollars more. They are as good or better quality as the store product. Will definitely buy again from this vendor. Love my Amazon Prime!!!
Save money on the kitchen accessory budget while saving money on the food budget!
May 11, 2015
These sealer rolls are great! I have been buying them off the shelf at the local store for years and each time it is a mental budget struggle because they are so expensive! Sure they save money on food cost in the long run, but that initial $20-$30 for two little rolls always seemed like too much. Till now. These bags are great quality. At least as thick as the "name brand" and the side seams are well constructed. They seal well and keep food airtight and protected. The only inconvenience you might find is that the rolls are so big they might not fit in your machine. But that's not a problem if you have a pair of scissors around. Just unroll about half of the roll, roll it up and put it in the machine, store the rest until you need it.All in all a great product at an awesome price.
Quality Bags for my Freezing Needs
February 20, 2015
I am very pleased with these. I have reused them, depending on what was vacuumed before. Perfect width to make bags. For meats, I make the bag and put it in the freezer for a while and then use the vacuum sealer. If meat or anything has liquids, the sealer doesn't work correctly. Lightly freeze the food and then seal. These came quickly and were so economical that I do not feel it costs me much to keep my food fresh longer. VERY pleased with the quality of the material. I know it is a lesser quality than came with my sealer but it is high enough to do the job I need. I'll reorder but it will be awhile since I have a LOT remaining! I recommend these!

love them but you're really only getting 8 space saver bags and 4 "travel sized" ziploc bags
October 26, 2016
i use these to store the clothes that my daughter has outgrown and they are fantastic. her closet is so organized and neat and has so much space now. yay.my only issue with this pack of bags is that it includes four "travel" bags that don't have the vacuum seal apparatus! you're just supposed to squeeze / roll the air out of them. so in my opinion, you're really only getting 8 space saver bags, and 4 that are just regular (albeit big) ziploc bags. i didn't read the fine print closely enough, i suppose, but the back of the box doesn't make that super obvious in my opinion.
It wasn't until about 2 am that I realized putting them on a shelf was a HORRIBLE idea - the seals didn't hold and allowed air .
July 22, 2015
Our closets were being taken over by our coats (we live in Arizona so we don't need coats for very long!) so I decided to get this for winter storage. They were okay, but as other reviewers said, the seals didn't hold. The first day I got them, I filled most of the bags up and put them in our closet, with some going on shelves up top. It wasn't until about 2 am that I realized putting them on a shelf was a HORRIBLE idea - the seals didn't hold and allowed air to come back into a bag or two, causing their weight to shift on the shelf and then tumbling down into the closet door. My husband and I jumped out of bed trying to figure out what exactly that loud crash was. I only discovered it was these bags after we searched the entire house and I was on my way to the bathroom (I definitely needed to go after that wake-up call!). I have since discovered that the bags do alright if you don't suck ALL the air out - leaving a little room seemed to help. And definitely do not store them on a shelf if there is any remote chance they might fall :)
Need to redesign the vaccum port.
April 1, 2015
Many years ago when the vacuum space storage bags first started to become popular I bought several of the bags to store such items as comforters, blankets and pillows. After several weeks I noticed that the seal had failed and the bags had inflated. Based on the Ziploc name I decided to try their brand of vacuum space bags. My immediate intention is to use several of the bags for clothing during an upcoming trip. Over the past few days I have been testing the bags to see how well they maintain their seal and the results are very positive.Besides looking at the space bags I noticed that Amazon also sold several hand type vacuum pumps. Since I already had one of the Ziploc pumps that I use with their vacuum food storage bags I decided to give the pump a try. If you decided to use a hand pump my recommendation would be to use the rolling method as depicted on the box first before using the pump, otherwise you will be pumping forever. I should mention that the vacuum port on the space bags are made of hard plastic. When using the pump the end on the pump that fits over the bag port is also made of hard plastic. With the two hard surfaces you most likely will not get a good seal. To resole this issue I decided to try placing a rubber O-ring between the two hard surfaces. Using the O-ring seems to resolve the seal problem. It just so happens that Amazon sells an O-ring that you can use. Here is the Amazon website address for the O-rings, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L1IVOUK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . The Unit of Issue (UI) is box which contains 10 O-rings (Unit of Measure - UM).When Ziploc firs started to market their vacuum food storage bags I bought one of the starter kits. The hand vacuum pump that came with the kit can also be used with the space storage bags. Since I will be using the space storage bags while travelling the Ziploc pump is small enough to fit nicely in one of my suitcases.Alternatives to using the hand pump would be a vacuum cleaner or shop vacuum. If travelling, it would be feasible for you to take either one of these with you. As for using an electric air pump I found a small one on Amazon that is small enough (4.25 inches x 4.5 inches x 4.25 inches) that it will fit in one of my suitcases. Here is the Amazon website address for the pump: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003LIKRKQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .As with the hand pumps I recommend using an O-ring to get a better seal. The reason for only giving the space bags only four stars is due to the hard plastic port. If product designers at Ziploc read this I would suggest you redesign the vacuum port which includes some type of a rubber O-ring or gasket which will provide a better seal.
Excellent Value, Great Product!
July 21, 2014
These are great! For the record, I give 4.5 stars! First things first, this specific pack is the best value that I have found in vacuum seal, space saving bags. I have seen other "value packs" selling 2-4 bags for the same price or more. This pack has 15 bags of varying sizes. Frankly, it's probably more than you'll need, but I was happy to stow the extras away for future use! As for the actual product, the bags are great! Disclaimer: I have not tried to use the enclosed roll-up suitcase bags, only the vacuum seal ones. That said, I had a great experience using them. I had never tried them before purchasing this pack, and I recommend them gladly. They don't pack up quite as neatly or flatly as you've probably seen in pictures or commercials (shocking, I know), but they do reduce to a solid 1/3 smaller or more of the original size. The edges squish in a bit, but not much, so make sure that your stowaway space is about as big as the unsealed bag or else they won't fit. They have absolutely NO FLEXIBILITY once vacuum sealed, so you cannot bend or otherwise manipulate them, only lie them flat (or sideways if thick enough to stand). Thr bags are VERY easy to use and you need nothing more than a vacuum. They have special valve that keeps air from sneaking in while you're pulling it out. For capacity, they are a pretty solid bet. I packed two California King size comforters, a Cali king blanket, a pillow, and four throw pillows into one Jumbo bag and it fit into my window seat chest. I fit a 25" high stack of other linens into a Medium bag, and it shrank to about 4.5" high after suction. CONS: *The white zipper piece tends to pop off easily when trying to seal the bag, but can be popped back on just as easily if you take a second to do it. I recommend pinching the edges ahead (as you would with any zipper) to reduce the chances of this happening.*The bags are kind of thin, so they puncture relatively easily. Do NOT store the bags anywhere rough, such as in a wooden box (unless it is thoroughly sanded and finished), or else they obtain tiny pinholes and begin to re-inflate.
Fantastic for moving; Storage Shot in the Dark
March 5, 2014
I initially purchased these to use in storing extra bedding in a back room, and was shocked at how much space they reclaimed after all the air was removed. It's like magic. Sadly, the vacuum seal isn't quite like magic, and not all of the bags held that seal over time.In the span of four months, three of five bags lost their seal and re-inflated. They may not have taken up quite as much space as they had originally, but they certainly didn't maintain the incredibly miniaturized, vacuum-shrunk size they had been. Two of the five bags did maintain their seals. However, these are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for short term usage - they easily hold their seals for a couple weeks, making them perfect for a move. Using these, you can fit all of your clothes into a box or two, and your sheets and comforters into just one more box. It's amazing how much space you save in the moving truck. By the time the bags start to lose their seal, you're already at your new place.Basically - there are good uses for these, but if you want to use them for long term storage, you may want to be prepared to check the seal every couple months.
Great for storage
May 31, 2013
These are great. I used mine to clean out my clothes closet. There was one bag that had a leak, so I'm not giving the product five stars, but, other than that, they worked very well. The medium bags will fit into an under-bed container, and the large fit on top of the containers, under the bed. Remember that a bag with 12 pairs of jeans in it still weighs the same as 12 pairs of jeans, even if it looks much smaller (and it does!) I guess another problem I had is what to do with great big "pancakes" of clothes once i got the bags filled and the air sucked out, but that's a much better problem to have than a small closet that's crammed with winter clothes and won't hold anything more. I'll lean them against a wall in the garage or something.

Review for 8" X 50' Vacuum Sealer Rolls
December 11, 2016
Review for 8" X 50' Vacuum Sealer RollsI bought these because I was tired of paying such a high price for the original rolls/bags my vacuum sealer manufacturer suggested I use (their own). Most of the things I use my sealer for are premade meals or repackaging of bulk items. Most of the time the thickness of the bags is not a huge concern but when it is I will use the thicker, more expensive material. This product will cover 90 percent of what I do.I find this product to work well with my machine so far. I've made about 30 bags with it of various sizes. I only had 1 problem with one bag that got a crease in it during the sealing process and did not seal completely. All I did was trim and reseal making sure the material was completely flat. Not as much of a issue with thicker material.Pros 1) cost, 2) Size/Volume, 3) Works with my machine.Cons 1) **No area to write date and contents, 2) material is thinner (already mentioned)** As far as #1 Con goes, you can write on the bag with a marker but sometimes it's still hard to read. What I do now is seal the bag leaving about 1 inch of space at the top, then cut small strip of paper, write or type info on it, and seal it in the bag above original seal (see picture). Sometimes this means that I have to cut the bag a little longer but with the cost savings I don't see this as a big deal.I will buy this product again as long as the quality and price remain consistent.
The roles are HUGE
October 25, 2016
Super economical, but the roles are too wide to fit into the FoodSaver devices!!! i.e. too many bags on the role. I didn't think of it before I bought it but now I'm like dangit! 4 roles of 25' would be more likely to fit, but 50' is a no go. It is waaay waaay less expensive than the "real thing" though and I would likely buy from these people again, I will just look for a 25' option.FYI - I found with wet filling, I have to seal twice (seal, pause, seal again); once doesn't do it. This might be an issue with other bags as well though (I'm still a vacuum sealer nubie). But twice provides a good, solid seal, so no complaints here.
Great bags (brand-name bags can have the same problems).
September 24, 2016
I really like these bags. I'd love to leave a 4 1/2 star review. I couldn't tell much of a difference between the thickness of these bags and the name-brand bags I was buying before. I even got my roommate's opinion and she couldn't tell much difference either. The only thing I would recommend for any type of bag like this is to double seal it on both ends and beware of something that could poke a hole in it and cause it to leak. I sealed up chicken breasts with bone-in in the name-brand bags and I had to throw away three because a sharp bone poked through the bag, so those reviews who blame it on a cheap bag may want to just be more careful.I do a double seal on both ends and if I'm sealing something that I think might poke a hole, I just place it in an unsealed baggie first to give it a it more cushion, so to speak.Overall, I'm very happy with these bags and for the price I paid, I can't beat them.
Great for the price does the job.
November 30, 2015
I used these to seal all the meat, cheese and vegetables in my freezer. I used seal a meal vac and it worked great 98% of the time. A few times I had to reseal the ends which was probably my fault for not giving it enough room to lay flat. You have to make sure the top is nice and flat any rippling will not seal right. So far none of them have popped a seal or had a hole poked in it and they do a great job. I froze up half the stuff in my deep freezer and used about half a roll doing so. I left extra on the ends for cutting open so I could reuse the bag also :P. I will be re-buying these when they go on sale.I have found that freezing items in the bags then sealing them makes it a lot easier to get them to seal because if you do not the liquid will keep using out and the sealer will try to seal then there is a tiny line of liquid that doesn't seal and air goes back in. They work great when I freeze the food in the bag every time and have my deep freezer full and still have not used up a full roll but its almost gone. I have also reused these bags and they do hold up.
Vacuum Sealer Bags Great for Soft Foods
April 21, 2015
Great Vacuum sealer bags to use with your Food Saver for most foods. These are slightly less heavy than name brand bags but work great for soft foods with no sharp edges such as ground beef, fish, and chicken breasts. I had no trouble with sealing any of those. It worked every bit as good as Foodsaver bags. If sealing ribs or any other items that have hard or sharp edges, these bags do not hold up as well and may puncture more easily which will then not vacuum seal.If you have a machine that you put the rolls in and cut right from the machine, you will not be able to use that. These rolls are much fatter than that the area to put the roll. That means you are getting quite a lot on one roll, but you do have to cut them by hand.I would definitely recommend these as an alternative to name brand, but you'll still want to keep some thicker bags on hand for some foods.
For most items, they are ok.
September 22, 2013
These bags are a good bargain. However, that is what they are, bargain bag rolls. Although they will seal most items well, they are not as high quality as FoodSaver bags. They are described as "commercial quality."For items that do not have sharp edges, they do pretty good. However, when trying to seal dehydrated potatoes, many of the potato edges punctured the bag. I also had issues with pecans and macaroni.Compared to FoodSaver, the textured side of FoodSaver is thicker and sturdier. In the video, you can clearly see a difference.Due to the bags being thinner, they tend to curl on the ends. This makes placing them into the sealer a bit trickier and I must cut the bags a tad bit longer. They also take much longer to vacuum with some items taking well over one minute. It may be just my FoodSaver. I have not had any not seal nor vacuum. However, for the price difference, if the items you are sealing do not require the higher quality FoodSaver bags, these do ok. I have used a fair amount of this brand, both the large and small rolls, and they work. I just have to adjust for the curling and make sure I don't use them for sharp edged foods.I deducted 1 star for the seller giving the impression that these are a higher/commercial quality bag. They are not, in my opinion.Hope the video gives you a better idea of how they compare to FoodSaver.See comments for updates.

Decent Bags
August 2, 2017
These bags were used for a cross country move and they were okay. Initially these bags worked great, they really did took a huge pile of stuff and made it smaller and more manageable. However, several of the bags lost their seal. The ones that stayed sealed did a great job, but just be aware that not all of the bags may stay sealed for very long.

Seeing the Ziploc brand name, I expected more of these. I have so far only had the chance to use the large cube ones, as I have the as seen on TV brand ones of the smaller sizes that I got a while back. The large cube one does not hold air nearly as well as the as seen on TV ones have. I may change my review later after I get the chance to try the other sizes and the travel bags, but so far, things are not looking up for Ziploc's space bags.
Disappointing
June 30, 2017
I chose this product over the Space Saver brand because I liked that this variety pack came with more variety (the space saver ones I saw only came with a couple different sizes.) At first I didn’t think I’d be able to use all of the bags but quickly realized they were all very practical. Easy to pack, easy to seal, and they seemed very sturdy. With that said, at least half of them keep inflating/won’t remain airtight. I haven’t had the opportunity to use the travel bags but I’m hoping they will hold up on an upcoming trip. I don’t think I’ll return because there are some that are serving their purpose well but I’m not confident they’ll hold up for long. I’m not sure that these were worth the money when the Space Saver brand has better reviews. . It’s a bit disappointing that the product only has about a 50% success rate right out of the box.
Bags don't seal very well.
June 13, 2017
Purchased these for use during a move. From the beginning, the bags have not held their seals. I have to re-vacuum the bags to keep saving space. Didn't have time to bother with returning for new (working) ones before my move, so have been dealing with them. Wouldn't buy again & currently only use the extra large and a large one for storing moving blankets... again, have to re-vacuum seal them regularly to keep the bags thin.
Inconsistent
November 9, 2014
I have used these bags on multiple occasions and they are generally very effective for short term use such as mailing or moving. I have found that using them for long-term storage can be hit or miss.Sometimes there will be a "dud" bag that just has a slow leak right from the start. Sometimes the bags work great and will sit in storage for weeks without incident and then one day you go in the attic and one apparently filled with air. Sometimes they will sit in storage for years and remain "flat" the entire time. They don't shrink up to the uniform, flat packages that the box portrays, but usually if packed well you can get it pretty close. Some lumps are inevitable.I have never really had any luck with the roll up bags and I find them pretty useless.Overall these bags are just ok. If they were consistent (all the bags worked the same), they would be awesome. But there's so much inconsistency that I can't possibly give them 5 stars. I still use them whenever I need to move a bunch of clothing/blankets, but I do wish they were more reliable for long-term storage.
When the work, seems to be ok
May 25, 2014
I just received the bags, they are exactly what I was looking for, have used other brands in the past and was not happy with the quality. So far I have used two of the large bags, they sealed and for three days are still sealed. I used one of the medium bags, it sealed, within a few hours it lost it's seal. I went way beyond the recommended instructions on using the slider. I slid the slider about five times, than I took my fingers and ran it from left to right a few times to make sure there were no leaks, yet it did leak. I am going to try it again today and see if there is a way to get it to seal. I hope this is not going to be a hit and miss thing with the bags. They serve no purpose if they can not hold a seal. Over all the quality of the bags seems fine.

Large diameter rolls do not fit into V3240 Foodsaver system top bag storage area.
May 18, 2017
Hard to work with because they don't fit into the top of my V3240 system making it difficult to cut using the Foodsaver cutting wand. I was able to use it but had to leave the roll on my counter, insert the product in reverse under the cutter wand and slice it across. This was the only problem I had, the vacuum sealer worked good and the heat sealer worked good. I recommend them if you want to save on bags but I am not sure if this issue with the cutter outweighs the savings you get versus using bags that fit properly into the unit.
Too big for the Nesco VS-02 Food Vacuum Sealer
May 10, 2017
I ordered these in conjunction with the vacuum sealer. They work great. They're sturdy. You cut off the length you need, seal one end, fill the bag, then seal the other end. My only problem really is that the roll, when new, won't fit into the sealer. So, until you use about half the roll, it's cumbersome to cut the bags using the sealer's cutting mechanism. I just keep a pair of scissors handy which works, but I like the nice straight edges I get from the sealer better.
not the best - okay for basic sealing
April 6, 2017
have purchased other "not brand name" vacuum sealer bags and they worked very well - these bags seem to have 2 main issues that were not present with previous orders: 1) there are significant wrinkles within the roll that has been used 2) although on the outside portion of 50' roll even the first made bags curled over to the point of causing the machine to not want to accept the bag for sealing.Thickness is less than previously ordered product - this product isn't bad but, is thinner than previous multiple ordered products. Basic sealing projects I think it would be an acceptable product but, if sealing things with hard edges might not be strong enough.
Great Product, Great Price, But Some Problems
April 5, 2016
These commercial quality food saver bags work well with my FoodSaver V4865 machine. They also hold their vacuum seal as well as the brand sold with my machine. I've been pleased with the quality and the price!UPDATE: I spoke too soon; I used these with fish -- they marginally vacuumed the product and one of the packages would not vac. Dropped the rating. Will update again when I have another group of items.
Good value/ Probably contains BPA
January 27, 2016
This works REALLY well in our FoodSaver vacuum sealer, and for the price, it's a great value. But I didn't realize until I had opened it and compared it with my FoodSaver brand rolls that there is PROBABLY BPA in this plastic, which is slightly concerning to me. The FoodSaver brand rolls advertise that they are BPA-free, and since the stuff I vacuum seal goes into the freezer, this is an issue. I'm sure these rolls are NOT BPA-free, considering they don't say so and the price is so low. I still used them, but will be sure NOT to heat my thawed food in the microwave in this packaging, as that would further release the BPA into my food.
Eh
July 20, 2015
The bags are pretty sturdy. They don't leak air, and they do a good job of keeping things fresh and free of freezer burn.I figured they would be boilanle/microwaveable, but they are not. It melted when I tried to boil it and exploded when I tried to microwave if, which to me makes it significantly less useful. But it does what it claims.

About ½ of the bags in the pack actually worked and didn't reinflate within a few hours. The ones that worked were great!! But it was very frustrating to have many of them not work. I definitely felt jipped
Pretty disappointing
September 11, 2015
I purchased these because we were getting ready to move and I wanted to be able to put blankets, clothes, pillows, etc. in them to take up less space in the U-haul and was also hoping to be able to use them to store extra blankets and pillows once we had moved. To start with, the smaller rollup bags, I thought, were almost worthless. I ended up just using them as large ziplock bags for bathroom bottles and things that might spill...(They might be good for travel, i.e., a vacation, IF the seals would hold). Even the large and medium bags didn't seem quite large enough. Once you fill them full up the 'fill line", you then have to 'zip' them closed... this was much harder than it sounds. There's a little tab (similar to that on a real ziploc bag) that you are supposed to use, but you have to push/pinch it VERY hard and it's hit or miss as to whether it really gets the bag closed and sometimes the little tab would just snap off. Once I did get them closed, I started to vacuum the air out... this was pretty impressive (as far as shrinking down the volume) on the poofy pillows and comforters, but on the clothes that I had folded and stacked neatly inside the bags, it really didn't reduce the size that much. Unfortunately, a day later, over half the bags had re-inflated. By the time the move was over, I think only one or two bags' seals had held. Pretty disappointing:(
THESE BAGS ARE HOT GARBAGE
July 19, 2014
SOLID PIECE OF HOT GARBAGE!!!!! these bags are terrible. This is the greatest idea ever and all they do is serve you a sandwich bag the size of a bathtub. The plastic is thin. It rips constantly. ANNND THE ABSOLUTE WORST PART OF ALL OF IT, the reason the bags rip is because the stupid little plastic "zipper helper" or whatever the hell it is. It does nothing but cut the zipper part off the actual bag themselves.I only gave this two stars because a few of the bags work decently. But it's because they don't require a piece of plastic to seal them.Do not order these.Idk if some other company makes them but if they do spend the extra money and buy theirs cause it's a good idea but terrible execution.
GOES FLAT...THAN GOES FAT!
April 19, 2014
These Ziploc Space Bags are so wonderful for the first few days....and then they somehow, magically find a small pin hole or air somehow finds its way in the bag and everything inside the bag is back to like it was, only it is protected inside a Big Plastic Bag! It's a great theory, and I fall for it every time. I don't know why I thought it would work this time....maybe because they changed the name to, "Ziploc" and I trusted that name.....and it gave it some credibility....now, like all of the other "space bags" all the credibility is long gone and I have learned another expensive and time consuming lesson. Not a good buy and certainly not any good at saving any sort of space! If you are looking for large bags to keep the dust off your blankets and pillows and winter sweaters....than these might be the bags for you....just don't expect them to shrink up for you and stay that way.
GARBAGE!
November 7, 2013
My sister used these to move from Illinois to Washington and they worked great! I thought I would do the same moving from Illinois to Texas. These bags were JUNK. I had several that split right in half while taking them out of the moving van and all my contents fell all over the road. It was almost like the plastic was old and brittle or something. They also didn't hold air in them for longer than a week.
No help for travelers
September 24, 2013
I bought these after watching a lot of regular people review and demonstrate these bags on YouTube and for them, it appeared to work well. Being a bigger person, it's a lot harder to pack 3X-5X clothes efficiently and I was hoping to save at least a little space, enough to not necessitate the use of a second backpack. But for the space it might save, it also wastes. I'd say there's only about 5% compression over all and it took me several tries to get everything back in my bag with the use of the space bags. As it turns out, anything bigger than the medium is too huge to use for traveling. The roll up bags are completely worthless and the zipper pops off every time and the roll up bags never seal either. I'm only using two of the medium bags at the moment in my main backpack right now, and as I said, it took several tries to get everything arranged correctly. And in the end, I saved absolutely no space overall and still need a second backpack for personal items. The biggest problem with using the space bags isn't that they don't work, but simply that during the process of vacuuming out the air, you end up with a lumpy, misshapen mess that is useless for packing. Also, my vacuum hose doesn't fit on the suction valve and after trying several times to arrange the clothes better before sucking the air out, it seems to wear out the valve and the blue thing inside will pop out. Maybe these work for people who have a house and can keep things in storage bins for all eternity, but these bags are no help at all for the traveler. I wish I could get my money back, but since the bags are so huge and slippery, no single person could ever repack them in the box to be returned.

December 25, 2016
Purchased to use with a food saver, I've tried several brands of bags and rolls and found the machine not particularly picky working with pretty much anything I've tried. That is, until these. As other reviewers have mentioned these are much thinner than most other brands. The textured side that allows for the air to be evacuated is either too soft or indistinct preventing a good seal.
Not impressed, yet
April 6, 2016
Not impressed. I have made 15-20 bags so far and have a 40-50% vac failure ratio. Not sure why, sometimes recutting the end works but not always. Scared to use them with long term freezing. I use a high end food saver unit and never have an issue with their rolls so this product will be for short term only until I decide to toss it out. Update, after answering a buyers question about cutting the rolls with sissors I tried using the cutter on my food saver backwards and while it was dry whole coffee beans and not moist meat, the ratio was one vac failure out of eight.
So far, so good
December 30, 2015
So far, so good on these. I've only used them on wild game meat, and they do just fine. They aren't as thick as name-brand products, so I take care when I stack them in the freezer so as not to cause damage to the bag, potentially wearing a hole in it against other frozen items beside it.I have not, however, actually measured the product as some users have. They claim they didn't get the full 50'. Perhaps I do that next. What a pain that'll be.Edit: after a few months I've discovered that many of the sealer bags I froze meat product in have punctured in the freezer, probably due to the thin wall of the material. This means that they have not maintained their vacuum seal.
Bags won't vacuum????
September 14, 2015
I don't know whats going on with these bags. I've bought them once before, and they were good. But these have an issue. about every third bad wont vacuum. So there must be a leak somewhere in the factory sealed edges. I'm going to fill one with water and seal it so I can look for the leak. I may be wrong. The problem may be something else, but it is a problem if you expect vacuum sealed food. I am using the bags that wont vacuum to seal things I am less concerned about a tight vacuum in such as food I will eat sooner. I have a roll I haven't started yet. If it has the same problem I will look elsewhere.
Seems good for completely dry contents only
August 28, 2015
These bags don't seal very well with the FoodSaver FM2000 if there is any wetness inside the bag where the seal is being placed. You'll lose the vacuum. This happens, for example, when you're trying to vacuum pack a grilled chicken breast and the vacuum process pulls a bit of the juice toward the opening in the bag beyond where the seal will occur. If the contents are completely dry, these bags seal like a champ. Just a heads up if you are using this like me to preserve a few days worth of lunches. There may be a way to double bag something like a cooked chicken breast (maybe wrap with saran wrap before putting it in the bag) to get around this problem, but I'll be checking out a different brand in the future, because I didn't have this problem with neither the FoodSaver branded bags nor the 11" bags I purchased off Amazon.
Not so good.
November 29, 2014
I'm really disappointed in these rolls. I bought 4, 2 in this size and 2 in a narrower size. They are thinner than the regular food saver bags, but the real disappointment comes from the facts that, #1, they curl after being cut and it is very difficult to seal the ends. #2 After I get the food into the bag and I try to seal it, again, many times the ends curl and I have to wiggle and jiggle the bag to get it into the vacuum. #3, They leak. I'm guessing because of the way they are difficult to seal, there are probably tiny flaws in the seal and after a period of time in the freezer, I'm really angry to find bags that have lost their seal and the food inside is freezer burned. I won't buy these again.

So sad.
August 6, 2017
Bought these 2 months ago. Used them as directed....did not fill them above the line indicated on the packaging....suctioned out air with vacuum replaced nozzle and stored. I checked on the vacuum sealed bags a few weeks later only to find that more than half of them have lost the vacuum seal. This product does not produce the wanted effect as it proposes on the package. I was very excited about this product at first and wanted to "jokingly" space bag everything! Now not so much since it doesn't actually do what it claims. So sad.
NOT the original Space Bags.
April 18, 2017
These are NOT the original Space Bags, but appear to be some cheap knock-off or counterfeit item. The bags are thin, the seals are not holding and air is filling the bag, in under two hours. The original Space Bags, were a heavy plastic, with superb seals. I have some of the originals, for over 10 years and they are still usable. These are absolute garbage and have purchased better, directly from China, for less than half the cost.
Disapointed in this product.
March 25, 2015
bags arived today and could not wait to try them out right away, was surprised how much space I safed! But that excitment went over to disapointment when I heard the air escaping. One of the bags even riped and NO I did not overfill them, only filled the bags to the line. I think clear garbage bags would had done a better job. Not going to buy this product again, very disapointed
... follows directions to a "t" and they would work fine for me
December 23, 2014
Tried these after reading reviews thinking I am the type of person who follows directions to a "t" and they would work fine for me. I'm extremely practical, and these make a lot of sense. When they work, they work well. Unfortunately, in my experience, most don't work for any length of time, and those that are opened and re-used don't work at all. It's an expensive, one-time-use storage solution that doesn't make sense to me. Wish I hadn't purchased them...
Thin plastic and cheap valve
March 25, 2014
Got a bunch of these bags to package my wife's clothing and extra bedding after she died. But they are made more cheaply than the bags at the builder store. The will puncture if you are not careful and two of them arrived with punctures in the bags, or were punctured by me in the first usage with soft clothing. The value is okay, but not well designed and is cheaper than one would want. At the end of the day, after purchasing several boxes. I am going back to the home builder store and paying a bit more for a better longer lasting product. If you are in to cheap, less expensive, that works okay, but not well, then these should do fine for you. But be careful, handle them with care.
Zip Lock Space Bags--Never again
October 30, 2013
I bought this larger set of zip-lock space bags from Amazon because I thought the quality would be better than other space bags, which I never had luck with. I was sorely disappointed. Some worked, more didn't-very few actually held and kept from leaking out. I have sucked the air out several times and followed the directions, but no luck. I will never assume that zip-lock is a better quality of anything. If I could get my money refunded, I would be a happy customer.

Does not vacuum, but seals okay
August 8, 2016
I have a FoodSaver V3860. These bags did not work. The machine was not able to pull air from the bags. I tried both rolls with the same result. I tried a different brand of bag, and it worked just fine. Tried these again, didn't work. There's something about these bags that just did not work. I guess I'll have to use up what I have as storage bags without having air sucked out of them, as I'm fairly certain I'm well beyond the return period. Will not buy again.
Did not work with my Food Saver unit
May 10, 2016
I had hopes that these bags would work. Certainly a good price but not a value. In the middle of vacuum sealing some fish fillets my supply of the branded bags ended and I switched to the new Commercial bags. Because this was in process I did not note which bags were which but a some point the bags just stopped vacuuming. I erroneously assumed it was the Food Saver unit so washed the seals and let them dry. Still no vacuum although it was pumpingFinally dawned on me to check the bags. Did not have the Food Saver 8" bags but had some 11" so tried that and sealed fine.Look at the picture to see test. Had a few shallots to work with and the 11" on the left is the Food Saver bag and the right is the 8" Commercial bag. Obvious which got vacuumed and which did not.Unit is fine, bags are bad.
Pass them buy and get the Weston brand
April 21, 2015
Not impressed, not happy didn't like them. I had been buying Weston bags but thought I would try this brand. I don't like them. They don't vacum very well and they didn't seal as well as the other brand. This size also did not thaw well in the microwave either and as I wrote in a different review for the other size, it whistled then blew up and scared my other cat half to death (she wouldn;t come back in the kitchen for an hour). Ok scaring the cat can be funny and good comic relief on a bad day but the truth of it is the quality of this brand isn't good and I love my pets (my dog growled the next two times I used the microwave, yes they are spoiled but that is beside the point) My food saver is still pretty new (sept of 2014) and I do know what I'm doing. That leaves me with believing this is an inferior product that I can not recomend.
I do not recommend this product.
November 3, 2014
This product will not vacuum no matter what I try to seal. I have a FoodSaver and was hoping I could save $$ but there is no way I can depend on this brand of rolls. I will be going back to FoodSaver products ONLY! I would not recommend these to anyone.
Rolls are nowhere close to 50'
June 14, 2014
Just received these today and the rolls looked suspiciously small. I unrolled one and measured it -- 16 feet. Thus despite paying for 100' (and the package is clearly marked "2 Large 8" x 50' Vac") I only got 32' in total. Very disappointed.
Not 50' Rolls
June 13, 2014
The rolls I received were not 50' each, they are 16' each. The product label matched the description for the items ordered, but the actual items were not as described.
