However, great choice absolutely!!!! The paint is very high quality for the price and spreads on canvas very easily. Also easy to blend with other brands of acrylic paint (notably the MyArtscape set). A lot can be said for the customer service end Castle. A representative contacted me to make sure I was thoroughly satisfied with the product and continuously added there was a complete money-back guarantee if I was NOT satisfied. Bright & Attention Grabbing ColorsJuly 19, 2016 I care for my young nieces and nephews on a regular basis, and I am always looking for fun activities to keep them occupied and out of trouble. If it were up to them, they would be on their electronic devices the entire time, but I don't think that's any way for a kid to grow up so I try to find more hands on activities for them. When I found the “Castle Art Supplies Acrylic Paint Set - Pack of 12 Colors” on Amazon, I decided to order a pack for them, so they could paint and be creative while in my care.This paint set comes in a variety of vivid colors that all children are sure to love. They can also mix the colors to create their own. The paints have great coverage and they are excellent for children as well as adults interested in painting. The paint glides on smoothly and it is non-toxic, so it is completely safe to use. The paint doesn't crack or look streaky the way a lot of acrylic paint does. They work really well.July 19, 2016 This review is for a pack 12 premium acrylic paints. These paints are ideal for students or artists. They are fast drying and easy to mix. You can use this paint straight from the tube or thin it out with water for finer detailing. This paint is suitable for canvas, paper, wood, or fabric. The colors you receive are: titanium white, lemon yellow, yellow ochre, vermilion, crimson red, viridian, hooker's green, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, raw umber, and lamp black. These are all very fun colors. These paints came well sealed and in their own little box. This is perfect for that budding artist that is just starting out. I think an experienced artist would have fun with these paints as well. These paints are water based and non toxic. I used them on canvas and it was very beautiful. The colors were lovely. It was also really easy to clean up after using these. I only had to use soap and water. These are fun and a nice thing to get some creative juices flowing. It comes in a nice presentation box. It has all the most used or most popular colors. I use to paint with acrylics all the time so I have large tubes of liquitex acrylic paint in your basic most used colors like black and white. It's nice to have smaller sized tubes of many different colors of acrylic paint. It's saves me the time of trying to mix up my own. My daughter is taking an advanced art class in the fall and I plan of giving this set for her to use in class. | | This isn't the best and not the worstSeptember 7, 2017 This isn't the best and not the worst. The problem I had with this is some of the paints didn't match the color on the tube. Like the darker blue was purple, the light blue was dark blue.If you know how to mix colors, I think you will be OK. Like to get the light blue like on the tube, it takes that paint and white. But this has screwed me up a number of times when I was painting. Again, some of the colors are way offThing I do like is the paint doesn't dry all that fast. It takes 15 min or more, but you can extend that out to an hour with a spray bottle.It should be noted that the tubes are that big. They are about the same size on the paint by numbers or the starter kits. So it might not be enough for bigger paintings or for a load of paintings. The only downside is the company keeps e-mailing to review the paints on Amazon, so hopefully this will stop now. | | Deceptive photo of productSeptember 7, 2017 The paint tubes are much smaller than I expected at about an ounce each. The online photo made it appear that the tubes were larger, like 8 oz each. I bought 2 sets for a painting party with a dozen friends where we are each using 11x14 canvas. Due to lack of time to order more paint online in time for my party I will now have to run out to AC Moore, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby to get more paint. One StarJuly 15, 2016 doesn't paint smoothly. The tone is nice and brightJanuary 2, 2016 Paint does not spread well on paper, and don't blend once on paper (they just paint over the previous color entirely).
