| Great lighting, cost effective. Excellent for pantry, undercabinet lighting.September 7, 2017 Very nice lighting and incredible price (even after adding on the required power cord with transformer which isn't included) compared to something similar I saw at Lowes. I put this around the perimeter of door on the face of the trim in an otherwise unlit pantry. The thinking was that it would cast light into all of the shelves whereas a typical overhead light would cast shadows and make it difficult to see contents further back on each shelf. Worked just as suspected. And the LED lights remain cool to the touch so no worry if your hand or arm come in contact. In full disclosure, I had to run electricity into this closet and install both a switch and outlet. If you have an existing yet inadequate fixture, this is a good retrofit for that application.Builders should be doing something similar to this as a nice value-add/differentiator. I've been in too many homes where there is inadequate pantry lighting or no lighting in there at all. Too few builders actually build homes for the way people really live. At this cost point, there's no reason they cannot add adequate lighting in closets like this. SO AWESOME!January 6, 2017 These are THE absolute COOLEST thing ever. These have a true daylight color, no blue hint at all like cook white. Our builder and electrician installed them, both said they were easy to install and no problems with the backing. Be sure to order the power source at the same time. The electrician even asked me where I purchased them so he could put them in his house. | Good and brightJuly 23, 2017 These suckers are bright! The tape sticks well if it's on a smooth surface; I put them directly on the glass surface of the mirror. My two problems are that it doesn't come with its own power supply, and I don't know what to do with the rest of the lights. I went around the mirror and cut off what I don't need, but it seems like such a waste. Maybe I'm not being innovative enough, but it doesn't look like I can use the extra... Very bright but after 1 year, they take up to 5 seconds to turn on.April 19, 2017 I bought these a little over a year ago and use them a couple times a week. They use to turn on instantly. I built a home office for my wife and wanted to light the desk area (it was over 9' long). I looked at the home improvement centers for lighting. It was going to cost me over $150 to get less desirable lighting, than I did with the Flexible LED light strips. I was able to attach the lights to the underside of the top cabinets, without any problems and you can barely notice them (This wouldn't have been the case with the home improvement center lights). I did have to purchase a seperate transformer and I went the extra mile and splurged $4 for a dimmer switch and remote. All said, I think I spent about $32 for everything, and I still have extra light strip left-over for another project (which I bought anouther transformer for for about $8). I highly recommend!!! I have a pantry that has no lights in it. Therefore it is rather dark and we have been using flashlights. I looked into adding some lighting but was not motivated to do the electrical work for such a small space.The unit came just as expected. You can cut them at the designated lines to custom make your strand. It comes with both a hard wired connection (Already installed) but also a barrel to solderless connector if you want. Once turned on they were bright and did not flicker like other LED products. The strand is very flexible which is nice. One gripe I do have is the adhesive. I installed the strips upside down on wire pantry shelving. Although the surface area is not continuous, I figured with 100+ attachment points it should be enough to hold it. The next day segments of the strands were sagging. I am looking into some sort of way to attach the strand more permanent.All in all I would love to purchase more of these. The strip comes with an adapter for the power supply to plug into (note that you have to purchase the power supply separately. I use a 72w one for this strip and it works). The LED strip takes a second to light up after being plugged in, however after that it stays bright. I've been using them for about 2 weeks and I've noticed the adhesive around the strip has been slowly getting less sticky. In the future I may have to find something else to tape it down with, but for now the adhesive will work. The lights are fairly bright and create a nice accent color for my desk.After a few months the strip started falling. It was easy enough to cut off the white connector and splice on another connector that was made for the 5050 size.If the product description said anything about these connectors being designed for a specific width light strip, I missed it. The product quality appears to be good. Just be certain to order some SMD5050 connectors so you can splice the connector onto this power plug to fit your light strip in the event of a size disparity, making certain to keep positive and negative properly aligned when splicing. | |

I was not satisfied at all with the color accuracy, they're very blue just like most other cheap LED lights. I actually purchased the VTC series ribbon LEDs from Yuji LED (a 200 dollar 98 CRI LED ribbon) and have both installed in my office now. The Yuji LEDs are so accurate you can hardly tell the difference between them and natural daylight from the window. These cheap LEDs (hey, they are super cheap!) are nowhere close to daylight regarding. If you want cheap, but these lights, but for sure the CRI is under 80 and the color looks to be around 6500K. Not exactly daylight as advertised. I checked all the connections, the remote, which I installed a new battery - NOTHING! I would not not recommend this light strip obviously. It takes ALOT of time to install these and then they quit.
