Great Barbeque Grill - Perfect for Camping!
September 11, 2017
I purchased this as a surprise for my hubbies birthday! It definitely deserves a 5 star rating as it's the nicest portable grill we have ever had! It's made very well, it's sturdy and I'm sure it will last us a long time. It's heavy, so it's not for packing in anywhere. It's perfect to take along in our camper and all the cooking is done outside! The grill is quick to heat up and every bit as good as our home grill. The grill was easy to clean when we arrived home. The inner part doesn't come out (wish it did) so you must wipe it out all intact and set up. I used hot water and a sponge letting it soak a few minutes and it cleaned up like new.
Gift from the Camping Gods!
August 11, 2017
This grill is perfect for our camping trips. We have a small travel trailer and, although we have a kitchen, we prefer to cook outside. This is a perfect solution for our cooking needs. We bought the griddle and the stove top attachment and we do all of our cooking on this sturdy grill. It sets up and collapses easily and we LOVE how easy it is to move around when it's set up. Small bottle propane lasts quite a long time for us. But we also have the adapter hose to connect to our trailer propane or an extra large bottle. We loved this so much we bought one for a friend.
Wonderful Grill - You'll Be Glad You Purchased.
June 5, 2017
I absolutely love this grill. We have other big grills and they take a long time to heat and are not portable in the least. This grill is perfect! It's easy to put together, really easy; it moves around on the patio to exactly where I want it with little effort; and it's a breeze to cook on. If you marinate or season your food prior to cooking, the charcoal grills are only marginally better. Seriously, I wouldn't trade this grill for any other grill.I spray the grates with Pam prior to cooking for easy clean up and I haven't had any problems cleaning the inside of the grill at all. I use one of those Mr. Clean magic sponges and it wipes clean easily. I bring the grates in and wash off in the sink - it's easy.I've cooked burgers, chicken, stuffed peppers wrapped in bacon, salmon, and veggies from the garden. We haven't had anything that wasn't great!
I like it
May 28, 2017
after owning several small bbq's for rv use, I have found this grill to be the best. Cooks evenly with no flare up or grease fires. Folds relatively flat. Easy to clean. The only complaint I have is that when pulling the grill by its handle, the pull out tray on the wheel side always slides out and drags on ground.
... night for the first time and the wife was pleased with it
April 22, 2017
Used it last night for the first time and the wife was pleased with it. The only draw back was I went to move it and it folded up on me. Bit of a surprise no damage to the unit. Just made me more aware of moving the unit. Even a short distance.
Very nice portable gas grill
September 10, 2014
Only had this one day. Set it up and grilled chicken last night. Works very well. Set up was easy. Takes a little patience to remove protective film from side tables, but that's minor. Very easy clean up. Cooking grates fit in kitchen sink. Best advice is to read through manual. It tells you that indirect heat is best. With lid down and both burners on low, thermometer still went to 600 F. The fuel supply regulator that screws into back of grill may need help from pliers. I couldn't get it all the way on by hand. Just be careful not to overtighten. For the money, I think I'm going to like this grill. I cooked a whole, cut up chicken and used only one side of grill. Could cook at least a dozen burgers at one time.

Great for apartment porch cooking for 2
September 3, 2017
Great for apartment porch cooking for 2. My girlfriend and I use this all the time. It's nice an compact, and we can fit plenty of meats and veggies for the two of us. I had moderate expectations about the build of the unit, but it's pretty sturdy considering the price. I recommend it!
Great grill. We use it for everything
May 13, 2017
Great grill. We use it for everything. Have cooked six meals. Steaks. burgers and ribs. Still on the same bottle of gas. Gas is available everywhere and you get 2 for seven bucks.. The grates are removable and you can put them in the dishwasher....

Simplify your life...go small.

I'm an old geezer. I don't need a BBQ that is as big as a Volkswagen. This little thing is perfect for two people, camping, small back yards. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Convenient.
I love to BBQ
April 18, 2015
I love to BBQ, but there's no room on the patio for a bigger grill. This fits perfectly and then can be folded away for storage. The only complaint I have is the very small capacity of the drippings catcher. When grilling burgers, it fills up and then the grease catches fire. My solution is to remove the tray and just slide a pie pan under the grill. This also greatly reduced the mess from any grease dripping through the bottom ventilation holes.

Tricky to unfold and setup or move once it's setup it does a fine job.
November 1, 2017
I've been wanted one of these for years and finally ordered one. I'm not an expert at grilling but hope to get good at using one of these things. Here's a couple of things I noticed right off that when setting the grill up the built-in stand is a bit clunky in operation. There is a trick to getting this grill to stand. Its clumsy to setup because there isn't a easy way of grabbing on to the grill and stand at the same time while un-folding it. Once its setup if you grab the handle on the wheeless side of the stand and try to move it there's a good chance the base will slip out of it's holder and the grill will end up in your hand horizontal to the ground which is not good especially if it's full of food. The 2 small side shelves are handy but there's nothing to hold them in when your not using them so when your trying to set the grill up or put it in the carrying case the shelves tend to slide out and get in the way. I've used the grill a number of times now and never had any troubles with lighting it or cooking on it. The burners seem to provide pretty even heat across the grills. It works very well for us as full time RV travelers as far as the grill cooking area it provides and it's storage foot print when stowed away. Coleman RoadTrip LXX Grill
Great for camping
June 29, 2017
We wanted a larger grill than the table top ones but was still portable. This thing works great. We bought the full griddle to go with and it works perfect. We made breakfast for 12 and dinner twice on one fuel bottle. Very happy. The only issue is when it is folded and you are moving it the back tray will drag unless you lower the angle. Not a big deal just makes you have to walk a little lower.
Seems it's just two screws to replace with a good one. The stem is hanging unattached
June 21, 2017
Chars steaks (my biggest worry after reading other grills that didn't get hot enough) Solid piece of workmanship. One problem and I'm unable to find a way to correct via Amazon or Coleman - the thermometer in the lid was broken upon arrival. Seems it's just two screws to replace with a good one. The stem is hanging unattached, coil visible. Coleman... are you listening? Can I get a replacement thermometer?
Almost perfect
June 8, 2016
For a backyard bbq, neighbor had one and that sold me on it for a camping unit. But, it is very susceptible to light wind/breeze. No wind screen on this model, so just be aware when cooking to temperature. I couldn't boil coffee percolater on this, with or without the stove grate accessory. Once i develop some sort of wind screen, will love it.
Nice grill for the $$ with nice accessories.
May 27, 2016
I love this grill. I could be a little more solid like some of the other brand-name high end grills, but for the price this is a solid winner with great accessories. I have the porcelain half-griddle and the half-stovetop, both of which are also high quality. This would be nice if it stored upright folded together but it doesn't very easily. It will however hang well from a couple of bicycle hangers (attached properly of course).
Coleman Roadtrip LXX grill is trippin'
March 18, 2016
I've used this grill several times since I bought it. once I got the hang of it I was grilling and grubbin' I tried to fire it up this past weekend but the propane kept cutting out after a few seconds. i'm going to try and reset the regulator as some youtube videos show. hopefully that fixes the problem, and if not I am going to be one un-happy camper.

It is extremely difficult to clean, and the grease stains are kiln fired on to the metal and can not wash off.

It is compact for our RV. Heats good, but after first use some of the coating inside has chipped off. We will keep it and use it as we have been looking for one that works OK
great performance, but not sure on how durable it is
July 9, 2017
The grill itself is great in terms of performance. But I am starting to get skeptical about how long it's going to last - the internal coating has started to chip-off and the marking on the ignition knob have vanished - all after 2 single uses and cleaning with paper towels! Feels weak to me.

April 29, 2017
Good quality, burned my first go around on trying to cook on it. I'm used to a infrared grill so this will take some practice. Learning to grill on a lower heat. Takes a few tries to get it to lite, but works good.

Nice design but runs too rich.
September 28, 2017
Very nice design, easy to set up and store. However, there is no provision to adjust the air fuel mixture. As a result it runs rich with a yellow flame ans high soot production, particularly on the left burner. I am in process of contacting Coleman for repair/ replacement.
Factory damage shipped anyway.
August 2, 2017
Received in a damaged box but damage appeared to be to the box only. Following instructions I got to the point of inserting the handle into the bracket on the grill stand--- it wouldn't fit. I discovered the bracket was dented enough to prevent the handles insertion. I really didn't want the hassle of a return so I attempted to straighten the dent - success! I finished my assembly and the last step was to pull out the shelves before lighting. The left shelf has a deep scratch which probably will get worse with use (moisture). Both of these defects had to have happened at the factory and had to have been noticed by the person who was responsible. Can't blame UPS neither item was exposed to shipping damage. I just expect better quality when I buy the top of the line at a significant premium.

July 11, 2017
Great grill at first! The food was cooked perfectly and easy to use. The unit i had really enjoyed it but started to die down too fast. I checked for leaks but there was none. One propane tank only lasted 20 minutes on low setting. While someone close by same grill lasted an hour with same size propane.I believe i got a defective unit. Not only the gas but when i pull this grill one of the trays folds out and im dragging it on the ground. I really liked this grill and i started carrying it but couldnt carry for long distances. Added photo of the tray.
Not the quality and good design I expected from Coleman.
January 16, 2017
We're not sure what we think about this grill yet. The price is great compared to similar products. It is pretty big and heavy, so even with wheels, it may be difficult to really use camping. The silver paint was already flaking off when we opened the package, and the solid metal in the grate directly over the flames make it hard to get an even temperature and exposure to the flame. Also, the drip tray and grate are so close to the flame that it catches on fire very easily when cooking fatty meats like rib eye or burgers. I guess it will be fine for our purposes, but not the quality I was expecting from Coleman.

October 13, 2016
You would think the grates the way they are made would stop grease from dropping on actual burners but they don't. Messy to clean and grease pan hard to pull out as you have to remove propane cylinder to remove and clean out. Tried the foil as some reviewers have done and find it helps but you still have a lot of clean up after pulling the foil away.
Needs the locks redesigned.
June 29, 2015
The only flaw with this grill is the design of the locking mechanism. There's no tension on the level holding the lock in place. And it seems to have been installed backwards because as soon as you pick the end of the grill up to wheel it somewhere gravity takes over and unlocks it. What makes it worse is if you happen to be going over any kind of bumps your grates will spill out everywhere. If you don't scrub everything clean after each use it could create quite the mess depending on where it dumps. Otherwise great product. But the lock is just not practical. This is supposed to be a grill designed for traveling.

The idea is awesome the build
September 6, 2017
The idea is awesome the build, not so much. Cheap plastic clips on the front latch melted off the first time it was used. I use bungee cords to hold it closed.
It does work and the height is good. Cooks slow because of the low btu's
Good for what it is
August 15, 2017
Good for what it is. Legs collapse too easy, fold inward - not a good locking mechanism. You can get a decent small grill on a stand for this price, and I wish I would have, as I don't use this to travel with.
Nice grill but uneven heat distribution
August 14, 2017
So there are many things that are good about this grill. First, it came assembled!! Huge thumbs up! It looks good, seems stable (only used it once camping), and the ignition worked perfect and fairly compact. The cooking surface is a bit small but fine for 2-4 people. My biggest issue and why this may be returned is the lack of even heat. The grill cooked fine but had a very distinct "hot spot" which limited the use of the whole cooking surface to a third of the grill. A major deal breaker for me.

July 22, 2017
Assembly was a cinch, Just a couple things and ready to use, Compact, easy to use although It doesn't get grilling hot and the grilling rock is terrible, everything sticks and very hard/next to impossible to clean!
Good grill overall, but with design flaw
September 10, 2014
Pros: Solid feeling flame control, connected to regulator in back. Stable feel when legs are deployed. Even cooking. Protected regulator piece in back is nice.
Cons: When the legs are folded up, I expect a firm click or secure feel. These legs generally stay in place, but are loose and have play in them, rattling around when carried. And when legs are folded for storage, the unit does not rest squarely, but rather wobbles side to side or rests unevenly on the left or right fixed legs that extend down along the main legs but do not fold with them.

and I would not recommend it to people
June 4, 2017
I've had this grill for a couple years now, and I would not recommend it to people. You can't roll it in the propped up position because it randomly falls out of the hooks and goes smashing to the ground. The right burner is hit or miss on being able to light. At the lowest setting it heats to 400 degrees. The grilling grates are good quality though.
Great grill but for occassional use only
July 13, 2016
I purchased this grill 2 years ago. It is clearly made to be used on the occasional camping trip rather than once or twice a week throughout the year. I was cramped for space on my condo deck and the size of this grill was ideal. I purchased it and loved it. Instant set up and the shelves slide under for a smaller footprint. But, my using it every week for the last 2 years has destroyed it. The bottom has rusted away. Maybe this is all I should have expected; 2 years of use. But it seemed so well built that I honestly thought I would get more use out of it. Disappointing. Edit: I just noticed that it has a 3 year review. I'll submit photos to Coleman and see what they have to say.
I am disappointed in this product
August 23, 2015
I am disappointed in this product. I purchased this because my In-laws were happy with theirs. I do not like it at all. It does not distribute heat evenly, my meats caught on fire several times on one side but were raw on a different side. If I put down the flame it got blown out by the slight breeze, if I turned it up I had a fire on my hands. I bought this for my camping trip, and now I am stuck with a grill that I don't like, since we used it for the entire trip. My husband and I decided to use it only with pots and pans on it, more like a stove. But for that I need to buy another attachment, go figure! Really wish I would have bought the grill at Costco, like many other campers we met.

Liked the grill itself
August 9, 2017
Liked the grill itself, but the support legs are not user friendly. Tried to use for camping, but when folding up the legs to store they pop out and get tangled with my gear. There does not seem to be a locking mechanism to keep the upper legs from sliding out of of under body framing.
Not bad
July 13, 2015
I still have this after a year. It works, but the gas heating is uneven and does not work too well in a windy condition with high altitudes. I think I still prefer the old fashion charcoal grilling but if convenience is your priority, this can be a good fit.
I don't like it.
July 15, 2013
I've had a few different type (cheap units) small portable grills but this is the worst. I really bought it for its looks and I figure a grill is a grill. Well this one is horrible to keep clean and keep the grease off the burner. Very little room underneath the burner. Tried putting alum. paper to help with the cleanup and works a little. As far as cooking, I've had little problem. I spend more time cleaning it than cooking on it. Should of stayed with the cheapee throw away grill. If you don't mind spending alot of time cleaning everytime you cook (because if you don't you will have flare up) then go ahead and pay twice to three times the amount for the cuisinart name. Never again.
No spare parts available
July 9, 2013
I bought this only a few years ago and the burner just disintegrated recently. It has been an OK grill but now that I need and wnat to buy a simple burner replacement, I find that not even Cuisinart does not have replacements available. I will never buy another product from this company. Back to Weber for me!
Worked until it melted
September 10, 2011
I did actually like this grill for as long as it lasted. It seemed to perfect for small spaces and was eminently portable. At first the heat seemed good but then I noticed that it was just not cooking completely...even though I had it on high. Many items were underdone and I couldn't use it to seer. Then the grill lid lock handle fell off because the heat of the grill had melted the plastic! WTF? Cuisinart: Why not use a high T polymer? Yes, it might cost a few pennies more but you won't get PO'd customers! Especially since now the gas flow controller (ie. the big shiny silvered plastic knob on front. You know, the one that also starts it?) is frozen in place. So, I went from liking the grill to now facing a battle to get Cuisinart to stand behind their warranty.

This grill cooks awful. I loved my Coleman RoadTrip Pro SS grill. It cooked fantastic. Parts are no longer available for it and it is no longer made.
