Used these to make light up escrima sticks for my boyfriend's Nightwing cosplay. These are super bright and look great. I used an A23 battery in each stick to power up 4 small LED strips, and they stayed cool to the touch and very bright. I was glad for that, since I didn't want them to get too hot while at the Fan Expo. I still have plenty of these left to use for other things, since it's a whole 5 meters long. These were really simple to use, even though I'd never used LED lights before. Overall, I really loved these and highly recommend them.

I didn't expect the lights to be that great honestly but when I strapped them to the back of my wall mounted TV it blew me away. Not sure how long they will last but definitely a great buy for the price.NOTE: you have to buy a power adapter to power these and a remote if you want to have some customize the brightness or blinking features. This is absolutely perfect gave the look and effect i wanted. The only thing I wish is it had a switch to turn off and on. They are bright and powerful when u go to sleep they aren't powerful enough to disturb you.

Super bright, has a bit of a UV black light effect which is awesome.

I can say enough about these lights. The accents it added were amazing under my stage and behind my 120 inch screen! Can not best the price and quality!!

It wasn't completely clear what this was from the product description, but it turned out being exactly what I wanted. I was looking for something small that could stick to the floor molding in my husband's "man cave." This one does the trick. It's very small--the tiny LED lights are on a very lightweight, small sticky tape, which was super easy to stick on the molding. It's very small and unobtrusive. The man cave is a smallish room--maybe 12' x 12' (if that). One roll was enough to go around the molding on the back half of the room. I only bought one roll to see if I liked it. I planned on buying another roll for the front half of the room, but this is SO BRIGHT that I think I'll pass on the other half. It provides nice backlighting in the room--the TV is in the front half of the room, and the lights are actually a little too bright to put up there.On a side note, you do need an AC adapter if you plan on running this off of your home's power. However, the LEDs take up very little electricity, so you could easily use them via a battery (like in your car, etc.)

If crazy bright blue lights are what is looked for, these work fine. Simple adhesive installment on the backside. Became somewhat uncomfortable, later on, so the roommates rarely used it afterwards. I'd suggest a warmer color or warmer lights in general. Product had no issues, hence the 4 star rating.

Great alternative to other pricey LED light strips. You do have to buy the power supply separately which can be found under the frequently bought together section. These things are bright! I would not recommend installing them where you can look directly at the LED. I bought the blue ones and they have a very good color saturation. There is no switch on this or the power supply which can be remedied by a plug in switch from your local hardware store or here on Amazon. If this had a switch and was clear about the lack of a power supply, this could get 5 stars.

I had to laugh when this arrived. The picture makes it look like a huge spool, but it really is very small. Not a detriment to the product though, just my observation. The lights are a neon blue and VERY BRIGHT! We actually have to unplug them when watching movies on the projector screen. Adhesive on one side holds them well to hard surfaces, but came up rather fast on carpet so I wouldn't use them on that. Left residue around a large plastic mirror frame but did not leave anything when pulled up off of hardwood floors. I guess it just depends on the surface.Nice touch for a home theater, but remember they are very bright. They DO make some things look "white", but NOT like the true black light bulbs that you use on black light posters, as many people have inquired.To plug them in you have to buy the little adapter set that is listed as an additional purchase. But all items are really inexpensive anyway, so worth a try.

Love it but its SOOOO bright it hurts my eyes, i thought it would be like a black light but anything glow in the dark glows only after the light is turned off

(12v 10a) Ran them up the edge of the sidewalk. They worked well all winter. They looked really cool under the snow. I also ran 2 red sets under my 77 Chevy C10. Use a higher amp Power Supply. They say this is a 3 amp string, but a full string will blow a 3 amp fuse in the truck. I had to use 5 amp fuse for each string of lights. I am using a 10a fuse for two strings. Anything lower will blow. I tried an 8 amp fuse.

Crazy super-bright, but I like the color, which as some have noted is an almost purple-blue. Some suggestions for those considering this product:- You will need a power adapter. I bought the LE 12v power transformer specifically for LED strips and it works fine. (C'mon: You were expecting a everything to come with an eight buck 5-meter roll of LEDs?)- For some applications, you may also need additional double-sided 3M mounting tape. The adhesive on the roll is okay, but not great. For us, we're just unrolling the LEDs atop high room dividers and there I only need to tack it down in a few spots. I'd rather not have it be permanently affixed. I would not count on this adhesive working in the long run under adverse conditions. For under counters, I read how one person used a glue gun to tack it in place and that also makes a lot of sense.- For cutting and splicing, you may also need to buy some extra connectors. They're not expensive. For our kitchen room divider, I'm going to need a 90-degree bend, so I bought of those. I've also purchased some extension cables and a DC splitter. Plan ahead for what you'll need.- Yeah, brightness is an issue. These are actually way too bright at full power, so I'm adding a potentiometer. There are a whole bunch of different kinds available, including a simple in-line rheostat that goes between the power adapter and the strip. Others are have radio or IR remotes. Some are touch-sensitive. Pick whatever works for your situation.Anyway, I liked the blue strip well enough, I've decided I'm also going to add a 'warm white' strip in the same room, so I can pick which I want at any given time. And I'm planning to put another warm white strip around the room divider that separates our kitchen from the living/dining room area, as accent lighting -- I think it'll look great and save a ton of energy.

This works pretty well, but sometimes takes several presses of the power button to come on. Once on, the other selections work as you would hope. Just make sure you use the remote near the receiver, or it is even less predictable.After my review, the company did give a partial refund of the purchase...without being prompted. Good customer service.

I put some strip LED lights under the counter for the wife. Decided I wanted to make them dimmable so I bought 2 of these, 1 for each light set. Except for the fact that you cannot isolate them from each other since they all use a single frequency, they work very well. Just annoying when one set turns off but not the other, then you're stuck fighting them until they both come on/off.

Absolutely awesome product! I have an apartment that doesn't have a true lightswitch/lights for the main living room. I built custom lighting and powered them from the wall like lamps with the "switch" being the handheld remote. Three lights on a 5 key controller. I keep one by the entrance door and the other from the other end of the room. Instant on and off. No warmup or frequency issues. Zero problems after a month of use. I did rate as a four star due to a simple engineering issue. There is no reason for the rounded bottom of the receiver plug to encroach into the space of the second outlet on a two outlet wall socket. Numerous statements have been made about this from other users and it could be fixed with almost no difficulty. You can still use the second outlet, but if the plug from another item is bulky at all, forget about it. Outside of this physical attribute of the receiver, a functionally flawless product. I WILL likely purchase more in the future.

I have several of the ZHUY under-cabinet light kits, and was thinking this would be a direct replacement for the remote and controller in them. The remote works exactly like the other. The controller functions, but suffers from a serious drawback. When most controllers "dim" an LED lamp, they do it by flashing it, but much too quickly for you to detect, without moving it rapidly or something. The controller in this set also does that, but the flash rate is much slower, enough so that it is very obviously flashing, even when everything is not moving. Very annoying, and I would worry about using it around someone prone to seizures caused by that sort of thing. If you know you are only going to turn your lights full on or off, then this will work fine, but the dimming... not so much.5/16/2016 edit: I initially rated this as 2 stars. However, because the company took the time and effort to read my review and offer me a refund or replacement, I upgraded it to 4 stars, even though I'm not going to bother with the refund/replacement process. The problem I experienced could well be an anomaly, and I can still use the controller elsewhere. Kudos to the seller!

Works well with under- cabinet lights. With two different sets couldn't mangage to synch Dynamic modes but don't care about that myself, am not interested in turning my kitchen into either a disco or an interrogation chamber, was just testing. Interestingly, this remote offers not the advertised ten levels of brightness, but TWENTY discreet increments besides the 100%, 50% and 25% presets, wow. Unfortunately, seems units cannot be paired separately, but I found that mounting the devices in various parts of my kitchen and standing at different angles, could operate two light systems either together or individually. When the units get out of sync in Light mode, simply cycling quickly though On/Off eventually brings them back together. Product far outweighs my admittedly low expectations (based on correspondingly low price.)

I've purchased 4 of these little controllers. 2 worked fine, one sort of works and one died. You'd think that with a track record like that, I'd ding them pretty hard. But, the things are so cheap. And the idea so useful, that it doesn't bother me. When one burned out right after arrival, I just ordered a replacement. These are so cheap it's not worth the effort to return a defective one. These co trollers are RF which means that you don't need line of sight for it to work. I put one inside a plastic sci-if model I was lighting and it worked great. Two more were used to control shelf lighting. You can tuck the controller behind a bookcase and it still works fine. I consider theses to be worth way more than the price that I paid and that's why I don't care if I get a dud now and then. But, please beware: if you don't have patience to deal with bad hardware, then skip this product. But, if you're patient and willing to wait on replacements these cant be beat for the price.

Strip needs to have more adhesive. However, I love the brightness of the lights and the many settings to use on the remote.!

To start off I wouldn't exactly call them blue it's blue but has an easy tint of purple to go along with it. I bought them with low expectations, thinking there had to be a reason they were only 7.50. The tape on the back is as others have said " weak " and had to give extra support at the end where you plug them in because the tape started to gradually peel off, but the worst thing was probably spending more money on an adapter to plug them in, that was rough.

These are VERY bright, and easy to apply. They stick well. May I reiterate, VERY bright. you should plug in and determine the level of brightness you desire before you peel and stick.* Don't forget the adapter! * I did not notice anywhere in the description that I needed to separately purchase an adapter :( that should be clearly and openly disclosed. I am giving this three stars in hopes that it catches someone's attention. When I search for black light LED strips, Amazon presented this as a product that would in fact be a black light. On my phone, I did not see any reason why it was not but when it arrived I was shocked to find out it was simply a blue LED. I started to return it and then realized it was probably my fault for not reading the description thoroughly.If you, like me, did a search for black light LED and found this, please be aware that it is a blue LED strip and does not make cat urine glow. If you just want to make cat urine look even blue-er than it was before, this might be exactly what you need.The adhesive on the back is virtually worthless. Anywhere I have stuck it, it starts to peel up shortly after. However, the LED lights are bright and consistent in color across the strip. It looks very nice.I'm quite happy that this package included a few handy adapters. The strip itself is already hard-wired with a barrel-plug receptacle, so a standard 12v power cord fits nicely. It also has a couple of clamp-on brackets for bridging multiple units together.

These are really bright LEDs with very good 3M adhesive backing, I was able to peel them off and reapply a few times and they still seem to adhere to the surface really well. The LEDs also come with an extra female 12v plug with a clip connector on the the other end and an LED to LED clip connector. So why the lower rating? Mine came with three bad LEDs in the middle of the string, which required me to cut them out and re-splice the good ones back together. I've purchased many, many sets of LEDs from various sellers and this is the first one I've ever received with bad LEDS. It's most likely an isolated defect, but only time will tell if the others fail prematurely.

It's Okay, these are made very cheap. But on the other hand they work. You don't really need the blinking and pattern modes, but I've used for kitchen lighting effects in remolding kitchens, dens, offices etc. Kids will Love for effects in their bedrooms. Low voltage systems make it very safe for the whole family. In that they are from China, then may not be around for ever. By several so you got replacements and for future projects.

It works great, if you don't have 2 or more of three near buy. No way to add a channel to it so that it doesn't turn on/off the other lights in another rooms.

This light controller works as advertised, though the range (distance) from the controller to the receiver could be better. I have to be within 6 ft for it to work. After cutting the led strip to the desired size, I found it challenging to attach the included new wiring connector. No instructions were included. I did find a user manual on line and after several efforts discovered that I had to connect the new wiring connector to the other end of the led strip. Removing the rubber covering to access the connection points without damaging them was more than frustrating -- and I am very experienced technically. I did get it working, though.

This remote is small, simple and functional. You install it in series with the power cord, between your lights and the power supply. The reason for the three stars is that the circuitry is covered only by shrink wrap and the ends are not tight to the wires. Thus, moisture, humidity, etc. can reach the circuitry, leading to corrosion and failure. Mine lasted three days outside, but protected from the weather. I will try another one, as I do want to be able to turn it on and off and dim it from the inside. I will seal the ends with silicone if they are open. This should be done during manufacture. There are also several "dynamic modes", which is to say that you can make the lights flash with several different effects in duration of on/off an flash rates. I have no use for that, but it works as advertised.

This thing is ok, but there's a couple negative things about it that leave me personally looking for a different solution.My biggest gripe is that even when you turn it off, it still draws a bit of current. Seemingly random led's in my led strip stay dimly lit at different levels of extremely low brightness. Seeing as I have this in my work van, I don't like the idea of energy being sucked from the battery 24/7. The only way to really turn it off is to physically disconnect it. It will remember what setting you left it in when you plug it back in though, so the addition of a physical switch might do the trick.Another slight annoyance is that I'm either using it at 100% or the lowest setting reached by pressing and holding the "bright -" button. It take about 10 seconds from 100% or about 3 seconds if you press 25% first. I'm quickly getting tired of doing this.The last thing is that the additional modes seem pretty useless for anything other that inducing seizures in people, though I suppose that could be entertaining for the people not affected by it. It definitely leaves me cursing when I accidentally press the wrong button in the dark.

I am using this with about eight feet of 12V Lampux LED strip. On the remote I received, only 7 out of 11 of the buttons appear to actually be transmitting anything, and of those, only three actually do something. Although this is an RF remote (says so right on it), there actually is an LED at the top of the remote that lights red when a button is pushed, or at least I assume it should for any button that is pressed. On mine, 7 of the 11 buttons actually cause the LED to light up, and of those, none seem to have any effect on the lights this unit is controlling, so I take that as confirmation these are just mechanically "dead" buttons. Luckily for me the three buttons that do seem to work (Power, Bright- and 100%) are enough to meet my needs, although it would have been nice if the bright+ button would work. For the low price, it’s not enough of a problem to make it worth sending back. My daughter put them on the top of her wall around her room. They look really nice if you can get them to stay connected to each other and does not want to stay in place. Does not stick that well.

I would like it if I could use it. Apparently I did not read the description right, this unit does not include the actual wall plugin. Just the leds and the cord to plug into the wall plugin. It's another 8 or 9 dollars for that. Found a deal in local store that included the wall plugin plus remote and it did change up to 30 different colors and dim 20 bucks. so if you already have the wall plug in unit, than I am sure these work just fine.

I ordered six of these and only two would light up when connected to a 9V battery. The other four would not make a proper connection. After troubleshooting the issue, it was determined to be the LED strip lights and not the connector.

Do yourself a favor and read very carefully. These are not UV lights even though they come up under UV light search. They are blue lights and the overall quality is fine but I need and want black lights and these barely light up anything. They are plenty bright but not in the UV spectrum. I take full responsibility for ordering them because I did not read carefully to understand there is nowhere in the description it says UV light. So if you're looking for UV continue looking elsewhere

The lights are bright and it works - however the adhesive tape on it is not good. This would be fine if you find another way to secure it, but I would not recommend for inside a car. It installed great but within 24 hours became unstuck and sagged. It needs a better adhesive.

No, started smoking as soon as i tried to charge it. Actually my 9 year old daughter saved her money to purchased the item, she have not been able to use it at all sum of the lights blew out when it started to smoke & it never held a charge. I tired to contact the seller but nothinh

as a buyer I was not told that you need a type of adapter to make these work. Does not run on batteries or any other source... very unsatisfied when I saw they are paper and very SMALL

The listing claims a 12v power adapter is included. Unfortunately a power adapter has to actually accept and adapt power to a different level and the only thing included with this product is the dongle that contains the female side of a 12 volt power adapter only. I am a licensed electrician and understand what a power adapter actually is/does.This is, at best, disingenuous advertising and, at worst - and in my opinion - blatant false advertisement.

Very disappointed. We bought these to put in our son's room. By the time we got to the end of the strip, the whole thing was so hot we had to turn it off immediately and take it all down. Fire hazard. Upset we waited so long to put them up otherwise we would have returned them immediately.

I bought these to use as a backlight for my TV that I have mounted up on the wall. When I saw the reviews and even the picture on the box I thought they were exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately this was not the case, I plugged them in and they gave a very dim light that wasn't even worth putting up. It gave about the same light as a small candle and that might be giving it a "good" review. I would recommend going to the store and just buying a high quality led strip rather than wasting your money on this product.

Picture looks like blue, webpage says blue and these were purple. So pissed off but they are bright
