The instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked, but it was not difficult to put together
October 12, 2016
The instructions weren't as clear as I would have liked, but it was not difficult to put together. If you have the brown-black furniture from Ikea, it matches perfectly. Once put together the desk is sturdy. If I could add one thing it would be to have the option of putting the keyboard tray in the middle. The corner piece was a great place to put my monitor and now I have to kink my neck instead of typing and looking forward.
Sturdy, Stylish, Quality Product
February 24, 2016
I love the way it looks when all setup. It's clean, professional, yet still stylish, perfect for a home office setting. It radiates a lot of zen for me. It seemed like it came in no less than a million pieces - thank god my husband is handy, although it didn't require any special tools. Just lots and lots of little pieces. But all the parts were accounted for and present. I've had the piece for 2.5 years now and there has been no problems with peeling, cracking or discoloration anywhere in all of that time. It seems like a sturdy, quality product overall. Very happy I found this!
Great L Shape Computer Desk /Good Price
February 10, 2016
Wanted an open feel for with limited clutter for my smaller office. This desk works perfectly and I was able to purchase under desk files to compensate for the lack of drawers. Great buy, sturdy. The under desk holder for my CPU allows the printer to sit on the rounded corner insert perfectly and be easily accessible. Would recommend of you are looking for modern and have additional file space in other units.
One of the best desks I've ever owned
June 28, 2015
Superb quality and a very well put together desk. Looks more expensive than it's price !!!

I bought this based on the mostly positive reviews - and - now I'm writing my own review whilst using this very desk. Delivery arrived on time and luckily not one piece was broken. The package was all in one box, which is rather heavy so please be careful and seek help instead of breaking your back.

Assembly was tricky to begin with, but after first 30 mins I understood the weird instructions and then it took me another hour to put it altogether. The instructions are not at all like IKEA or other famous DIY furniture products and a tiny bit of imagination is required to ensure you don't end up putting together the wrong pieces.

Once assembled, the desk is quite sturdy and does not want to move. I think that is a good thing, because you don't want to lose up the joints.
Looks great I love it!

The Coolness:

So I found this desk at a furniture store for 399 cash 499 if you do payments and on top of that they wanted right about 150 bucks shipping. Google goggles saved my butt cause when I took a picture of it, goggles found this amazon listing for this price and I thought it was an instant buy...so I bought it. Couldn't beat the prime free 4 day shipping man.

The Packaging:

Boy did this bad boy come boxed up to make sure nothing was broke. My poor knife got a work out. None of my parts were broken or scratched in anyway so I am very pleased with how this was shipped.

The Looks:

This is one NOICE looking L Desk. It has tons of room for you to do anything you need to and I seriously love the little area for you to put your computer case in. I don't see how other reviews say the legs look cheap when they look pretty expensive to me...then again 300 bucks is kinda expensive...but not...w/e.

The Lame:

First off, I just want to say this was a pain in the ass to put together mainly because the pictures lack what i'd say are arrows showing just where to put what. All I have to say, is set everything aside and make SURE it looks just like the pictures or else you'll be doing some backtracking. Lets face it though, it is not impossible to put together like some reviews make it out to be so just be aware that you might run into a snag here and there but hey...nothing puts itself together amirite. I fixed this baby up in a few hours after work mess ups and all.

Overall:

OH heck yea I'd buy it again assuming I fell in a parallel universe where I didn't have this desk but still had the money to re-buy it. 5 stars baby I'm very happy with this one. Just a suggestion though, I recommend getting a mouse pad. Your mouse might have some problems on the keyboard attachment and hell it flat out won't work on the glass...well mine didn't so yea...MOUSE PAD.

...I wonder how many finger prints I'm going to leave on this....aww well idc it looks swag brah.

love this desk for the price point
April 5, 2017
love this desk for the price point. Small chic desk for everyday simple usage. Sturdy.Cons: if you hate DIY, don't bother purchasing it. Wish the holes underneath the pull out keyboard holder had better aligned holes. Minor annoyances when building it.
Stronger than it looks.
March 20, 2017
With only pictures and very small pictures at that, there was some difficulty getting it together. Some of the pieces were interchangeable until the very end and then I had to take it apart and start over. Once I did get it together, it was everything that I needed. What did surprise me, is how sturdy it is. Great value for the money.
Looks modern and is study.
March 2, 2017
Looks great. Modern. I fumbled a bit putting it together Because I didn't see the letters on some of the front and back parts but that's my fault. Just realize there is a front and back for the legs and the tubes and you'll have it together in no time.
Great bargain!
June 9, 2016
The cherry criss cross desk is fantastic for the money. Has a very high quality look and feel. Perfect for a modern wooden theme. Installation is easy except one part isn't clearly labeled... How to position the tube the keyboard tray supports attach to. You'll have to think it through. Super study but don't lean on the keyboard tray.Extra tools needed, really: an extra Allen wrench, the one they give isn't enough, and a Phillips.
it was pretty straight forward
January 9, 2016
I'm digging this desk. Not too tough to put together - took my time and followed the instructions. It did take some careful examination to get the diagrams right (it's more of a visual, than textual instruction sheet), but once I got clear on the details, it was pretty straight forward. Sturdy, wide top holds my 22' iMac and 2 studio monitors. The keyboard tray is also at a height I can actually use. Good price point too.
Not for the faint of heart, but GREAT!
January 3, 2016
As a lot of the other reviews have stated, this desk is a pain and a half to get together and not for the mechanically inclined. But when the deal was going on I got this desk for $89. This is literally the best most sturdy $89 desk I ever spent the money on. When properly assembled and a little WD-40 in the bearings of the cable drawer, with a little adjustment (very exact adjustments to be exact) the drawer glides smoothly and does not rock sideways or jostle. This desk is not flimsy, and holds a lot of weight when properly assembled.I highly recommend this desk if you're mechanically inclined and can tolerate literally one peice of paper of directions, which is quite honestly accurate enough to figure out given some brain power. Because it's darn worth it!A note for assmelby: you will need to pilot the keyboard drawer brackets with a small nail, as the enamel on the keyboard drawer itself doesn't allow easy entry of these screws. They where the only ones I had to measure and manually pilot myself. Everything else was there.

April 1, 2017
The desk is absolutely beautiful. It is perfect for my home office vs a solid all wood desk. Has modernized my space. I only gave 4 stars because of the following: 1) the instructions were useless, matter of fact incorrect and an Amazon contracted vendor put the desk together. The instructions contain graphics only, which is not bad if the graphics were correct. The vendor had a number of recommendations but I did not write them down. The overall message is take your time, inspect all of the pieces before you begin assembly--all of which is standard practice. And 2) The glass top is only about 1/4 inch. I was hesitant to put both my MAC desktop and printer on the same table. Had visions of coming into the room and seeing the glass top cracked from the weight and the computer and printer broken and in a pile of glass on the floor. I may be over cautious, yet I have placed the printer on a separate small table until I order a small file cabinet. Lastly, I love the roomy keyboard tray. I have a full-sized keyboard and mouse pad and there is still adequate space on the tray. Very good purchase. I hope it lasts. I had my last desk for 21 years and it was good as new when I gave it away today.
Best I could find. Assembly is challenging.
February 15, 2017
Best I could find. I searched on Amazon, EBay, and Walmart and this is the only one that met my needs: accommodates a full tower pc, large keyboard tray to accommodate a mouse/pad and keyboard (most others won't). Some buyers complained about the plastic cups under the glass. All the glass tops use these. They are not meant to suction the glass down but keep it from sliding, rattling, and breaking. I do wish it had a raised monitor shelf but purchased one for $20. The reason for 4 stars is that the instructions are abysmal. The pictures are misleading and not very detailed at all. The picture for item shows the cpu mount on the same section as the keyboard. It is not. The cpu mount is on the other section. Impossible to have both in the same. Putting it together is a bit of trial and "dam that ain't right". Other than that, it is a nice big and sturdy computer desk that looks great.
desk looks great and has a sleek look to it
October 1, 2016
desk looks great and has a sleek look to it. the package was heavy and made me a little nervous about damage, and so their was four balls that go between the legs that had minor dimples in them, but I said what ever and now I don't even notice or think about the minor dimples. other than that, the desk went together well and easily, and all the parts was were available for assembly. The desk feels very sturdy except for where the computer tower sits, over all though its a good desk for the price.
Very nice desk
December 7, 2015
I've been using this desk for some time now and finally got around do writing a review. I had another L-shaped desk that I really didn't want to get rid of, but it was falling apart after moving around the world and it was time to retire it. I've noticed that the glass does seem to scratch somewhat easy, but nothing too bad. The only thing negative that I can find with this desk is that it doesn't have a drawer under the right side writing area. My old desk had one and it was very handy, but now I've got to keep odds and ends in my filing cabinet, which just makes it more cluttered.

All in all I'd buy this desk again because it looks nice and it holds up. I'm not sure if I just got lucky or whether it was the glass, but when I moved this last time it was leaning up against my garage door when my wife opened it. The glass fell to the pavement and didn't shatter!!!! I'm thinking I just got extremely lucky!
Absolutely Perfect 4 Me....BEAUTIFUL!
June 23, 2015
I love this desk. I have no complaints other than, like some reviewers have already noted, the instructions are vague and not easy to follow. For this reason, I gave it 4 stars. It took me about 2.5 hours to assemble the entire unit. And I really took my time. My suggestion for a faster assembly is to lay all of the like parts out, assemble the rods on one side against the flat surface on the floor, then add the other side. Turn the desk over (upside down) and attach the Key Board holder. This is opposite of the instructions, but this the way that the manufacturer suggest you do it is more difficult because the unit is unstable and areas for the screws are difficult to reach.

There are small drawings which are pretty much useless
June 26, 2017
As many have stated, it does come with written instructions. There are small drawings which are pretty much useless. I winged it and put it together in about 30 minutes. For the price, it looks pretty good and will serve it's purpose. I did not attach the keyboard portion because I will be using my laptop on it. I heard the keyboard portion it a bit daunting to put together. If you're pretty savvy with putting things like this together, you'll figure out which holes should align with the various poles. It looks good and I'm happy with the purchase. Take your time with the alignment of the bolts and you'll be fine.
Nice, But Assembly Nightmare
April 29, 2016
Once the desk is together, it's very nice for the price. But oh, the assembly! The instruction sheet is small, with small illustrations - no words, as is the case these days. And you need words here because the pictures don't tell the whole story. The person who was assembling this is very experienced in such things, and he even likes doing it! Well, not this time. It's not always obvious from the pictures that certain parts that look symmetrical aren't. After assembling, de-assembling, and re-assembling multiple times, it all became clear. But it's easy to see how some reviewers thought the holes didn't line up. He thought that too. But being a glutton for punishment, he persevered and got everything to fit. And the end product, as noted, is fine.
I constantly had to dismantle certain parts and through trial and error I finally got it built like in the manual(took 2
December 23, 2015
The desk was a serious pain to construct as the manual was only one page and consisted just of tiny pictures and numbers. There was also a lot of physical force involved in building this desk and way more time than should be necessary was spent on this relatively simple-looking product. I constantly had to dismantle certain parts and through trial and error I finally got it built like in the manual(took 2.5 hrs). The glass came kind of scratched up as well but it doesn't really bother me because I have stuff on it all the time (may be a problem for you though). Also the pullout keyboard is physically impossible to screw down without an electric screw driver so I just left it loose for now until I'm willing to spend another 30 minutes fixing it. The glass surface on mine didn't completely fit properly on one corner either and is jutting up a bit but, hey, what can you do right?Final Thoughts:- I wouldn't expect this desk to be a flawless, picture-perfect product if you order but I would say the price is a deal for what you get (currently $91). Overall, it does it's job and I'm just satisfied that I found a compact desk with a pullout tray.
Very nice finished product, not the easiest assembly
February 5, 2015
An attractive, very sturdy (if assembled properly) computer desk for the price. As many have mentioned- assembly instructions leave a LOT to be desired. I've seen worse in stuff coming from China, but these are pretty poor. Here are some assembly tips that would have saved me a lot of time. If I had to put another one together- I'm guessing I could do it in a third the time. Several of these tips are in the comments but I'm consolidating them in one spot:1) Leave all bolts/screws a bit loose until completely done and then go around and tighten all. Holes don't always line up properly and a little "jiggle room" can be helpful.2) The only screws that can be tightened fully is the first step- I'll call it step 0 since it's above step 1, mounting the keyboard glides to the brackets. These screws are difficult to get started but do work and get considerably easier to screw in once they get a few turns in. Have the right size screwdriver and apply generous force. Mount the glides as far forward- towards the front of the bracket that the holes will allow.3) Others have mentioned that the keyboard drawer does not pull out far enough, I agree. I have a gel wrist rest that sits in front of my keyboard and that causes the function keys and even part of the number row on my keyboard to be under the glass top. To resolve this I mounted the glides as far toward the front of the bracket as possible (mentioned above) and also the keyboard drawer when fully pushed in is a little over an inch inside the glass top. I drilled new pilot holes for the screws on the bottom of the keyboard drawer 1 1/4" closer to the back of the drawer. This pretty much resolved the issue.4) The round tubes that make up the frame in most spots have a concave or "dented" hole on one side of the tube. That is the side the screws go in otherwise they will probably not be long enough.5) The screws to mount the glass top to the frame are barely long enough and have a blunt tip which is difficult to get through the cork "pad" on the bottom of the aluminum mount on the bottom of the glass. I used the allen wrench to punch a hole through the cork and into the cavity. It is also difficult to get any leverage on the screws for the front tube as the keyboard drawer is in the way. I found it easiest to put the glass top upside down on the floor and put the frame on top of it. Insert the allen wrench all the way in to line up the holes, some manipulation may be needed.Enjoy and good luck! :-)
Once put together it is a great table.
November 8, 2014
Once put together it is a great table. Getting it put together is quite the pain. I am usually ridiculously good at putting things together using directions but these were lazily made. At first they started out good with the typical put these two screws in first and so on then the second step was pretty much "put it all together you dolt!".Some of rotations of the pipes in the directions were unclear in the picture so I ended up taking it partially apart to twist them. So, if you are making this table keep this in mind:For the front top pipe : The tray screw holes are the ones towards the ends and should point outwards. The table top screw holes are the ones more inwards and, as such, should be in the up and down orientation. For the back top pipe : now we have the back top pipe to back bottom pipe connector screw holes. These are the outer most holes and should be downward pointing. The rest of these screw holes as you proceed inwards are the same as the front top pipe.
Nice table, difficult to assemble
July 19, 2014
This is a very nice computer table. I like the looks and it is sturdy enough to support my two monitors. It's really just what I needed for my smallish office.But...be forewarned, it is difficult to assemble. Well, I guess it's not so terribly difficult...it's just that many of the pieces can go together multiple ways and the instructions are not too explicit about that. It's just drawings saying connect A to B with X, etc. With all of the false starts having to disassemble and reassemble in the correct position, it took me close to two hours to get the thing done. Also, be VERY careful when mounting the top...the aluminum fixtures are very soft and it is easy to strip if you tighten too much.And...if you are attaching the keyboard tray, make sure you attach the slides to the rails as your very first step (the instructions are not clear about this). You need to put the rails on the floor and then attach the slides with the #5 screws. They won't seem to fit, but you push very hard and they'll bite into the metal and screw in. My first attempt i had the rails mounted to the desk and there was no way to get the force needed to make the screws bite. I really thought for a while that I just had the wrong parts. Hope that helps someone save a bit of time.

Second of these I've ordered. First was fine, but the second arrived with the top of one of the end legs broken. Disappointing, but I can't repackage the whole thing to return it, so will probably try to glue it...
They refunded the entire purchase price:
October 10, 2013
Update: 10/31/13

Seller agreed to a full refund of the desk. They actually called to say how sorry they were for the problem. I do appreciate that kind of customer service. That's the reason I like using Amazon.

........................................

Do not buy this table online or from Home and Living. The glass top will always break during shipping and Home and Living is a pain to deal with. Home and Living offered a replacement part, but will not do a full refund. They have asked me to sift through BROKEN GLASS and find the parts that aren't broken. Amazon should not allow Home and Living to do business on their site. This is also my fault for not reading the reviews more clearly. If I did I would've realized that most of these five star reviews are fake.

And here is the email I got. My favorite is that they will give PARTIAL REFUNDS on parts they do not have.

Glass has it's downsides
October 4, 2013
I was looking for an L shaped desk where I could have one side for my work computer equipment, the other side for mine. The desk needed to be durable and attractive as I'd be spending well over 40hrs a week sitting at it. Glass seemed to be the way to go, but I didn't like the look of most I found so when I ran across this one with "wood" instead I jumped on it. What I didn't realize was that the clear glass shows every smudge/fingerprint/speck of dust imaginable, would be very hard on your wrists, and requires you to use a mouse pad.

The instructions were horrible as the other reviews indicated but what bothered me the most is the complete lack of indication as to which way the metal supports should be attached. You have to guess, and if you guess wrong you'll have to completely start over. All the pictures show the keyboard on the left side when it's on the right. Yes, you could probably change that easily enough by taking everything apart and starting over but if you're like me, it's not worth the trouble.

Also be aware the dimensions include inside the L, but that area is completely unuseable due to the supports meeting at the corner. That makes the desk smaller than you might be expecting.
Good looking Desk
October 17, 2012
Let me start with this desk looks great once you get it together.

Pro's-
Lots of space
Very nice look when finished

Cons-
Directions are awful, very hard to understand, and easy to mess up.
Some of the wooden parts were chipped.
The metal Trays, and computer stand are kinda flimsy. They do the job though.
Cost was high for the quality

I kept this desk because it was nice once put together, and it fit well in its space, plus I'm sure the shipping back would be outrageous! Overall, once its said and done, it looks great in the office, if the price point was lower would have given 4 stars.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING 101
August 31, 2017
Beautiful and functional, it's a great desk to work and look at. If I were in Court, I would testify this desk was designed by a Chinese structural engineer who was more adept at building bridges than desks. It took me longer than anticipated to build it, and their instructions (frankly) suck. In my case, after all was said & done, the glass top didn't properly fit (could only apply 1:4 bolts to keep the glass in place!). If you decide on this desk, put on a pot of coffee & take a Valium!
Functional desk, with low quality control.
November 21, 2016
Wanted to like this desk. It was packed securely, and no broken parts. However, close inspection of the legs reveal questionable quality control. One of the legs had what appears to be some application of wood putty, with very obvious discolored brown stain or paint. It was darker and muddy, clearly not compatible with the wood grain appearance of the rest of the leg. There were also some scraped edges. Overall, a somewhat disappointing item. Assembled, with some minor annoying aspects of the bare "instructions", it is functional.I'd rate it 2.5 stars, actually. Would only recommend if you can get it at a very, very 'reasonable' price.
Incorrect Screws, Frustrating Assembly, Looks Great Though
July 30, 2016
It comes with the wrong screw size for the drawer (keyboard). The instructions are a nightmare and you will find yourself disassmbling and reassembling several times because the instructions are unclear and the parts look very similar (labelled with stickers that fell off during shipping for me).The desk looks very nice, and it seems stable and sturdy, which I am happy with. The colors go very well together and the wood looks excellent. It is a very good looking desk, and its great if you are in a smaller apartment or have limited space/ funds.I cannot say I recommend it because of the incorrect screws and horrible instructions. You will actually find that some of the diagrams are wrong (especially where the holes are in the metal beams) and that makes it imposiible to know what you are doing. It works as a desk, but not without buying screws, an extra allen wrench, and washers. If you are willing to put up with the frustration of trying to put something together that doesnt go together as described by the instructions, its a sturdy good looking desk that you might like. Be prepared to guess a lot when putting it together though.
Great Desk - Terrible Instructions
May 2, 2016
I rated the desk 3 out of 5 because of how difficult it was to put together. The desk took me about 2 1/2 hours to assemble due to awful instructions. After its built properly it's a great desk. Looks beautiful can hold my desktop and monitor. And works perfectly in my home. The instructions absolutely suck. The company definitely wanted to save money on paper - one sided - four steps/pictures of how to assemble it.The instructions clearly don't state how to position some of the pieces to connect the next piece with it. So don't tighten pieces all the way until the end.The worst part of building the desk is the keyboard tray.DO NOT connect the sliders to the tray until you've connected them to the metal bracket first or you will either end up bending it so the sliders won't slide out unless you use force (happened to me)Also the screw threw the metal bracket for an average healthy person could still be extremely difficult. If the company just put the keyboard tray together for you as assembled the entire desk assembly would probably be cut in half.
This desk works just fine, not great, but good enough.
August 19, 2015
This table is fine. Not great, not bad, just fine. I needed a table with a pullout keyboard shelf and that's what i got. The design and engineering of the table is spiffy but it relies on the manufacturing process to be perfect so all the pieces fit together exactly, which they do, except for the glass table top.I could only get two of the four screws into the round, pre-drilled and tapped holes. If I were using this desk on boat in roiling seas I might worry about it's durability, but in the spare bedroom where I use it, it's fine. One leg of the table had been cracked and repaired, though not expertly since I could tell it had been cracked and repaired. But that's fine. The machine screws that fasten the keyboard shelf to the sliding mechanism has to be fastened to holes drilled in the wrong place so the drawer does slide out smoothly, though with a bit of effort, it slides out eventually. Actually, if I were using this desk on a ship in roiling seas, this would be an advantage. Yachtsmen take note. The Chinese factory that spews these out by the thousands gets most of them right I'm guessing. Also, for the $92.04 (this includes sales tax) I spent, it's a mighty fine table.
Ok, but has some issues.
December 12, 2013
I bought 2 of these. The first one was great, though a real pain to assemble due to ikea-style "no wording" instructions that failed to show the correct rotations of some of the more important parts. The keyboard tray sliding brackets were terrible to attach to their black metal arms, so have someone around who can push 200 lbs+ into the screwdriver to get them to seat. They really should re-think the #5 screws for this, and you might be able to buy slightly less thick ones to avoid the drama entirely. The second one had a flaw in the bolt holes for the legs, so it could not be used. The bolt holes were too close together, so they couldn't be attached to the short side leg-brace. This means the entire desk cannot be assembled. I've requested a replacement for this part. I'll update the review if/when that happens. For the one desk that could be assembled, it is lightweight, comfortable, and attractive, though the keyboard tray does not extend very far (6") past the glass, so using a wrist pad in front of your board/mouse will be a challenge. There isn't a lot of clearance between the tray and the glass, so big hands probably won't care for this setup. If you pull the tray out past the stop point, the whole desk will scoot (it's that light). There is more than enough surface space for my wide monitor + speakers, all my networking gizmos, and a pet bed for our chunky cat (or a printer, if your cat doesn't insist on the space.)It feels pretty sturdy with no side-to-side wobble I expected from it, but it does translate some wiggle up through your monitor. Not bad, but not perfect either. Considering the small amount of floor surface contact, it could wiggle a lot more.

Plastic suction cups?? Seriously?
January 27, 2016
There are a few things that bug me about this desk. The biggest are the plastic suction cups that are used to hold the glass tops in place. They are beyond tacky and far from secure. In fact, I have strategically placed everything on my desk to purposefully cover them so I don't have to look at them. Tackiness aside, they're not even securely held in place. A small bump here and there probably won't do much, but I can easily just lift the glass off the desk if there's not much on top of it. The extremely annoying part of it all is that for ONE of the SIXTEEN anchor points, they decided to use a nice looking screw hole that is glued to the glass (see pictures). I would be totally content if these were used instead of suction cups, but no--they decided to use ONLY a single one for the corner section.

Another issue (which is related to the suction cups) is that the glass is not always level. I have a computer monitor and some speakers at one end of the desk (very common) and due to the weight of these things, their end is slightly lower than the end where I sit and rest my arms to type. Not a huge deal, but annoying for the OCD and kind of shows how cheaply made this desk is. Plus, the glass is slightly wider than the desk so it runs off a tiny bit.

Third and final issue for me is that they decided to slap on a massive sticker on the inside leg (pretty noticeable depending on your layout). It was at least 2x3in big and took me a solid 10 minutes of meticulous handicraft to get it peeled off without any residue. It's possible, but painstaking.

I don't believe this desk to be a good deal. It's too cheap compared to its price tag (around $280 at the moment), especially considering the problems I have with it. It actually showed some promise as I was putting it together. But as soon as I had to finish it off with the glass, I became very disappointed.

Oh, and be prepared for your home to be covered in millions of tiny statically charged styrofoam pieces after opening the box it comes in.

This product is too complicated to assemble and definitely not worth the price. This product is definitely not suitable for daily use.
My experience
July 28, 2010
I ordered the desk for my home office space. I spent days trying to locate the correct. desk. Then I located this one.
This may not be the best review but it is not anything that I didn't write to visiondecor about. PRICE: the prices was reasonable in comparison with the other sites that carried this desk. I was not pleased in that the shipping took took long. I think I ordered on the 9 and actually received on the 20th. I though the initial arrival date was the 14th that didn't happen. COLOR: the color is nice dark brown wood it actually matches well with the inexpensive IKEA dark-brown file cabinet I have. The desk feels sturdy for a home quality item , feels stable and doesn't tip. For me the desk is the right size. It doesn't overtake the room. ASSEMBLY: When you assemble the desk you should determine what side you want the computer side (return) on. It is actually the opposite of the picture shown. The computer return sits to the Right. PACKAGING: The packaging of the item is great. Unless you need to return an item. The desk is encased with a foam packing so it comes very secure. I was afraid the glass would break but it was all good. The only problem is it will be difficult to repack due to this special packaging. The integrity and security of the assembled desk is good and it looks amazing. HOWEVER, the issue is the curved legs. The dark colored laminate was peeling and starting to buckle on 2 of the 4 legs ( the legs that support the inner portion). This is not a shipping issue but a issue with how it is manufactured I am sure. Normally I would return the desk but to wait almost 2 more weeks was not an option. SO I have to reglue the laminate to the legs or have them replace them legs. I did go to the visiondecor customer service line and they were helpful. So I don't think they will "keep you hanging" I just don't have the time to reassemble a new desk, repack and mail items just to busy for that. Would i purchase from them again, maybe but I would try and ask more questions upfront. I hope this review is helpful. With the exception of the "peeling legs" the desk is fashionable & functional for now and I would buy it.

Peeling keyboard tray, horrible assembly instructions.
August 14, 2017
The directions for installing are horrible, but even worse is the keyboard tray. This piece of particle board was wrapped in vinyl, which was torn and peeling. Looks horrible.Other than that, it's a decent, functional little computer desk. Doesn't look too bad either, except for the junky tray. Just expect it to take way too long to put together, and the keyboard tray to look like junk on day 1.
Mis-machined and wobbly
April 4, 2017
I like the desk, but one of the pieces wasn't machined right and the screws wouldn't fit in it. That was pretty dissapointing as now I have a noisy wobbly desk. Also, the instructions weren't all that clear. I found myself having to take the desk apart to put a piece on in a different direction several times. It was a pretty irksome process and the mis-machined piece was just the straw that broke the camel's back.If returning an item like this wasn't such a hassle, I would have. There's just no way I'm going to spend hours taking this thing apart. Probably will jsut sit it on the curb and get another desk that's easier to put together and sturdy.
Never lined up!!!
February 28, 2017
This is a nice looking computer desk, but it would of got 5 stars if it lined up correctly. The top glass suppose to line up so you can properly screw it down but it's out of sync. The keyboard tray the same thing. I had to use my talents to make this work since it was a gift for my husband. The instructions was poor, it is basically showing you pictures and you have to figure out what is next.
Not Worth It
December 10, 2016
Very difficult to assemble. (a) there are many holes drilled in the tubular members - the members are easy to assemble with the wrong orientation (being painted black the holes do not stand out). (b) the order of assembly is not clearly spelled out in the limited assembly drawing. One reviewer stated "many of the pieces can go together multiple ways and the instructions are not too explicit about that". Ever so true. (c) my table did not "square up" though I was very careful in positioning all the screws. Translated this means (1) the glass-top female threads did not exactly line up with the pass through holes. Thus the screws were too short - I had to procure two screws a wee bit longer in order to find the threads and finish out the top. I probably spent an hour just wrestling with the given screws before punting. The side sliding rail self-tapping screws were dangerously large in diameter - so I switched them out with the tray mount screws - which I don't believe made much difference. One reviewer said they successfully forced specified self-tapping screws into the rail mounts but I was afraid to strip them out. Furthermore, (2) the tray is not completely squared up in the rails - so one side of the drawer sticks out by 1/2 in (there may be some warpage in the frame). An adjustment would really be difficult to make. It seems some had more success than I though I've had quite a bit of past success with these kinds of things. In all the quirks made no functional difference though the uneven drawer feels a bit strange. You may have better luck than I though I would not recommend this desk to anyone unwilling to go the extra mile. Overall it looks very nice. But not worth the price.
Decent product, horrid directions and assembly
March 7, 2015
Once everything was put together and tightened it's a solid desk, though a tad short for my liking, but getting to the point of the assembled product was a nightmare. The directions are horrendous and I have no idea how they got approved because they are next to useless at some points and I ended up resorting to guesswork. They tried to go the IKEA route by using no words and just pictures for directions, which isn't necessarily bad in itself, but they tried to condense all of the steps into four pictures on half a sheet of paper so that all of the "zoom" pictures were so tiny that you couldn't effectively read them and some of the steps being so jumbled that you could hardly tell what you were supposed to do. The first step consists of three steps and the second consists of seven so that both are super jumbled and hard to figure out what order to attach the pieces in (and that is important for some parts or else the desk doesn't fit properly), but then the third and fourth step only consist of one step each. Would it have killed them to spread out the steps a little, or to at least use the back side of the sheet as well so the directions aren't crammed onto half a page? Apparently so. I'm in university for engineering, and if I ever turned in something like this I would probably get failed because of how terrible the directions were.As for the construction, it was a real nightmare due to the terrible directions and because several pieces didn't fit well together. The legs have a notch that makes them both nest into one another, then you attach them with a double sided screw thing, but you can't tighten that first or else you can't attach the top metal pieces. Nor can you attach the bottom metal pieces until you've attached the top. It took me thirty minutes of assembling and disassembling the leg pieces to figure this out because the directions did not mention that you could not complete the leg assembly unless it was assembled in a certain order. Assembling the sides of the sliding keyboard holder was equally frustrating (though due to shoddy manufacturing rather than bad instructions) since you had to screw four screws into holes in the metal that were nowhere near large enough, which made the screws stick out and mess up the sliding assembly so that the keyboard holder does not slide out all the way. I could go on and on about how many different things made this a nightmare, but I don't feel like typing an essay. As I said, the desk is a decent enough desk for the price I paid once it was constructed, but the construction was so unpleasant as to ruin whatever satisfaction I may have had with the assembly. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different desk.
Attractive Junk
January 8, 2015
I didn't expect fine furniture, but this is poorly made junk. Even getting it to the point of being a little glass topped table without the keyboard tray was difficult because the holes did not line up well, and some were not even drilled out completely. I read the reviews before I bought it and thought that since I'm pretty good with things like this, that I would be able to get the keyboard tray on it, even though others had trouble with it. It turns out that it didn't matter if I could get it put together or not, because the keyboard tray is covered in a material that was not glued correctly and is full of air bubbles...it was unusable. Even if had been made right, it was nasty looking and didn't go with the rest of the desk. The next time I want a quick, inexpensive, attractive piece of furniture I will go to IKEA.

Cheap particle board
May 15, 2014
Looks beautiful but very cheap. Two of the legs (made of particle board) separated with in six months, the lining unglued from the particle board in the first weeks. We did not send it back because it would have been a hassle to take it apart and ship it. Although we keep gluing the lining it separates, we have tried liquid nails for wood, gorilla glue and super glue but nothing takes.
Much needed improvement needed on instructions.

Assembly was slowed down to a crawl due to instructions lacking detail explanation. Manufactor failed to have individual (technical support)return my call. Technical support failed to answer my voice mail message. WOULD NOT PURCHASE AGAIN Coaster Division L-Shape Computer Desk Unit in Cappuccino Finish

Too lightweight. Don't like the way the glass top is attached to the frame, will easily slip from the frame. Intended to use for my desktop computer. Changed my mind. I put an old lightweight stereo and some discs on it, but don't use as a desk.

May 19, 2016
Horrible assembly and the desk is not put together after 3-4 hours...defective product/parts. We ran into lots of problems at each step, the glass top does screw into the pre-drilled holes and neither the keyboard tray fit into the brackets/rails at all.. One of the desk legs did not have any pre-drilled hole either, Planning to send this back if customer service does not suggest a solution...
Look wise it is good. But assembling this
April 15, 2016
Look wise it is good. But assembling this .. is a big pain. No clear instructions. it took me around 4 hrs to assemble it.Screw holes/screws provided did not fit! at least they could label the parts properly and explain better on how to assemble. i would not recommend to buy it unless you are ready to take the pain of assembling.
Nightmare to Assemble - Not worth your time.
January 16, 2016
This is a nightmare to assemble.1. keyboard screws and slide out doesn't fit.2. shoddy instructions you need a magnifying glass to read it.3. back cross supports don't fit.Do not buy unless you are willing to waste a lot of time trying to assemble. Now considering my options about returning it.
Better have a power drill available!
October 24, 2015
Impossible to put together without power drill. Not all of the holes were pre-drilled. Had a neighbor finish it for me. It's now serving its purpose.
