December 13, 2016 Plastic that has broken 3 times on me (twice was at the connection point for the larger shower head so be careful when maneuvering that).I still give it 5 stars though for two reasons:1. When its not broken it gives for a really nice shower with good pressure and nice settings. You can also use both heads at the same time without losing much pressure. It is overall the best shower head(s) Ive ever owned in that respect.2. Customer service. All 3 times in the almost 2 years Ive had it they replaced the broken parts for me with no questions asked. I did send pictures with my claim and they asked to confirm my address and a few days later from it breaking (the 3rd time did take about a week receive, the other 2 it was literally about a day or two) I had new parts in hand. I dont even have the same shower heads I started with and they made minor changes for the better since the first.For $30ish I recommend it. If you break it they will replace it. If you want something better than this you will need to spend more money. ) Taking a shower together is much more fun now! There are SEVERAL settings and you will ... June 30, 2016 Oh my goodness! I can NOT rave about this shower head enough! GET IT! You won't be sorry! My husband and I searched for similar shower heads and all of them were over $100.00. He found this one and we decided to give it a try! We can take a shower together and he has one shower head on him and I have one on me. No more arguing about the water. :) Taking a shower together is much more fun now!There are SEVERAL settings and you will definitely find one you like. Maybe more.One thing to keep in mind though. Because you are using two shower heads that means you're also using double the water and your hot water tank will get cold a lot faster if you have both heads going and like long showers.However, If it is just you taking a shower and you like long showers... I would recommend turning off one of the heads. Then you aren't using as much hot water and you can continue to enjoy those long, luxurious showers. :)The instructions were super easy to understand and took less than 30 minutes to uninstall our old one and install this one.Get it! You will be so glad you did! Well worth the price for an excellent spa like shower experience! May 11, 2016 It's been quite a bit since I installed it in my bathroom. I now can give my honest opinion about it. First of all, the price goes below the real quality of this set. This is the first thing I like about it. I installed in less than five minutes, I thought I would not do it correctly but it was so easy to install that I was amazed with the results. Normally these kind of products don't last, or the material peels off after some time. I have to say, mine is intact, it looks as new as when I bought it, and this was many months ago now. It has three ways to use it. I have tried all of them: just a single shower, both, or the one on top. I use the one on top normally, because it's the highest one in position, but I also like using the other one, because it is the one that can have different kinds of ways of showering, like mist, rain... strong jet. Simply love it, it relaxes so much. But also I use both of them at the same time on many occasions, it gives a feeling of being under a waterfall, just close your eyes...I have had in the past other appliances but they did not last too long, or they got clogged somehow with calcaire. This one is as clean as the first time I used it. My husband was a bit reluctant to buy it since others were cheaper but I wanted something with quality and found it in this shower appliance. The string from the upper one goes a long way towards the bathtub, so if you have pets it is perfect for them. If you use both showers you can have different settings, enjoy them, in winter and in the summer. It is going to make you feel so refreshed and/or warm, depending on the season. I think it is time for me to add a charcoal tablet on each one but until now I don't see why I would need it. It has a great filter for calcaire waters.This setting is very rewarding after a tiring day at work or outside. Since I have it I seldom take baths because it makes me feel completely relaxed and transported. Just right for 4th of July...best Bang for you Buck! July 12, 2015 I chose this shower head and hand shower combo because our old one broke. This closely resembled our old one, but the main shower head on this one was bigger. I read a ton of the reviews and most were positive. The few low ratings sounded to me as a very small percentage and things that happen with highly manufactured products. There's going to be a few bad ones in there. You just hope you are that rare occassion. Luckily for me, we got one that most every buyer boasted - a great product for the price. Obviously, I was looking for a bargain, so I bought this one on sale. So, I know from the reviews that it's mostly a chromed plastic, but so was the last one. The last one lasted a couple years, so I'll be happy if this one does too (It only cost a little of $30, folks.) Don't go overtightening things and being crazy rough when switching settings. Anyway, the setup is quite easier. Trickier if you want to take out the water flow regulators, but still not rocket science. I made a hook from a safety pin and it pulled right out. The water pressure is awesome! Keep it in for a more water-concious, eco-friendly, water bill friendly setup. The pressure is still pretty decent. If you have both heads going at the same time, it may not be as grand, but still nice with the big rain water type shower head. With just the hand shower going on the jet stream setting...whoa! Nice! All in all, I and the other household members are quite please. Granted, it's day one. We'll see how durable it is. Quality chromed plastic with some metal fittings, metal hose, good flow. February 26, 2015 This unit is a little more expensive than some of the other offerings, but the quality is really great considering what I paid for it, and I'd definitely buy again. First things first: It's about 90% chromed plastic, but fairly sturdily built. It has an "ok" amount of heft to it, and definitely looks like an expensive, high-quality unit. The hose is metal and every bit as flexible as promised. The hose fittings and the fitting on the back of the main shower head are also metal, as is the ball joint on the main sower head, which lets you aim it where you need it. The rest of the fittings including on the handheld piece and the hub/connector, are plastic. Plastic threads, rubber gaskets. The kit thoughtfully included some teflon thread tape for attaching to the main pipe, so you don't need to buy that separately! Also important to note: the instructions seem to jump all over the place, so it's easy to miss, but they do mention that you should NOT use the thread tape on any of the other fittings, and that you should NOT use any tools to assemble it. That said, the threads on the hub for one of the hose fittings seemed malformed a bit for me, and I was unable to screw it on far enough to make a seal with my fingers, and had to resort to (carefully!) using a pair of pliersThere's a couple plastic flow restrictors in the shower head fittings. The one in the handheld bit was easy to fish out, but the one in the main showerhead was a little more challenging as it's sunk in deeper. Be careful not to damage the unit when fishing it out with a small-bladed screwdriver, wire, or awl. With the flow restrictors out, this unit actually puts out a lot more water than my old showerhead, which is a welcome change given the low water pressure in my house. Suprised at how good it was for the price December 14, 2014 Bought these as a stop gap in a home we plan to renovate the bathrooms in about 6 months as the ones in place were horrid and hadn't been used in nearly a year. Normally I use more expensive fittings in bathrooms just because they are used all day every day and this one surprised me - it's not at all heavy which I was worried about initially - it's super easy to connect (just work out if you need to buy an extension arm or you can reuse the old one (we had to buy one and this item fits and matches perfectly http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Q04S1C/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1). We love the fact you can use one or both showerheads (very handy if you have two people of different heights using it). Best of all the HOSE SITS FLAT against the shower wall unlike the Delta with the clip off handheld and one other we tried where the hose was so stiff it curled out into the shower and if you brushed against it the handheld would fall out and land on your foot (seriously not funny when you're half asleep!)Had ours in use for a few months now and no problems at all - I think I'll reuse these once we remodel | 63% Good construction and value. October 5, 2016 So, I bought this because someone wrote a review saying that the nut used to connect it to your shower arm coming out of the wall was one that could twist/spin, to allow for the extender arm to be positioned exactly as you wish. Well, that review was written in 2013, and the manufacturer has since welded the nut. I was worried, but there was no need to be. The welded nut went on perfectly, and positioned just right.I've not noticed the "this materials used are so thin" reviews that some others complain of. It installed without any bending or twisting. I mean, it has a nut that you use a wrench to tighten (using a cloth over, to prevent scratching). Are these people just twisting it on and using the arm itself to tighten? Of course it will bend and mangle using that method! Install it using proper methids, and you should be fine.Someone else linked a different (preferred, to them) arm in their review that has a larger diameter tubing ... insinuating that this tubing on this is too small for adequate water flow. Nonsense! There is plenty of water flow from this ... and we have just average water pressure. I DID take the diverter out of the shower head we bought to go with it, and it works brilliantly.P.S. the reviewer who posted the above-mentioned link to a larger diameter arm failed to mention that the larger arm was also twice the price of this one! Umm ... duh. Of course you get more when you pay more.The joints on this unit are strong, and the arm stays in place with the rainshower head attached. No weird engineering required, and the joints just tightened by the thumbscrews.I would buy this product again. A good value, and a good price. Easy Install, Works Like A Charm July 29, 2016 This is the second time I've purchased this adjustable shower arm and I does everything I need it to do. I initially order this device because the water pipe coming into the bathroom shower (in my rental unit) was way too low for me (I had to crouch to get under the water) - so this gave the needed extension I was looking for. Installation was very simple, including the use of the sealant tape that comes with the product. I've owned and used the first one I purchased for about two years (the second one was a gift), and I've had ZERO issues with leaks or the screw tighteners at the joints. Two years after installation, it's in the same position as I've originally installed it. I will add though that I don't use a heavy shower head (one of those plum-sized screw-in heads with no hose/attachments). So read other reviews if you're using something heavy.PROS:- Easy to install- No leaks / no weak joint screws (with a light shower head)- Easy to adjust positionCONS:- might not be able to handle very heavy shower heads* photo shows the product. I was able to gain 8 additional inches of vertical compared to my original faucet installed unusually low. Now I don't have to crouch. Awesome! March 26, 2016 Put two of them together for a real rain shower experience. I had one of the extenders and the rain head for almost two years but the other day thought to buy another extender to give me more height. Im 6ft and have more than 6 inches of clearance. FYI, the two extenders are the same brand. I went with the same because the first one lasted so long with no issues. Also, I move frequently so it has been installed and uninstalled 6 times in two years. No leaks, no problems. Does the job March 27, 2015 At 6'1" and my wife 5'2" our shower needs are quite different. This shower arm solves everything. We have a rain head with a shower handle. The head came off ,attached the new shower arm then reattached the head. Works great. And the separate shower handle was uneffected. It's a shower arm, you don't need to put that much thought into this purchase, I promise. March 14, 2015 PROS:-Solid construction-Easy to adjustCONS:-Shorter than you'd think, but nowhere near a deal breakerI got this as an extension for the AKDY 8" rain shower head, it does exactly what it needs to, it's like Inspector Gadget, except only the extendo-arm. I was actually surprised because I was honestly expecting half of it to be plastic, but it was entirely metal, which afirmed my beliefs that I will never have a problem with this thing. The screws tighten nicely, you can put it at whatever position you want easily, not much else to say. Only real downside is that ten inches(probably more likely 9 the way most people have it set up) is really less than you'd think. I'm considering getting a 12"-14" arm to replace this one day. Until then, it does the job well.[04-30-16] EDIT: Still using this same shower arm with the same rain shower head. It still works decent, but if I move the shower head too much, it's pretty much guaranteed to lose its tightened hold. I don't really ever move the shower head though, so it isn't a real problem, just something to take into account when guying this. Four Star Reviews: | 17% After seeing the great reviews for this product February 5, 2017 A few years ago, I had a different hand held shower fixture that I'd purchased at the local hardware store for around $60. The hose had very little flexibility, the seals seemed to be leaky, despite having followed all the specific installation instructions. In addition, the weight and feel of the wand seemed cheap. After seeing the great reviews for this product, I finally decided to replace my old handheld with the HotelSpa. Not only was it less expensive than my previous unit, but it was of substantially greater quality. Installation was a snap -- no tools required! You simply hand-tighten everything, which is great since I have old plumbing in my house and worry about breaking a fixture whenever I apply any torque with a wrench. As far as quality goes, the handheld portion has an especially nice weight and feel. As far as various settings, there are many options, but I tend to leave the shower head on a single setting. I would definitely recommend this product. Very pleased. Good product for the price October 16, 2016 Given the price of the fixture, this has been a great product for us. We have attached it to the HotelSpa water filter and we experienced no leaks. We did not need to use any of the plumbers tape to create a secure fit. We've had this in our shower for over a month now and we really enjoy all the settings. I've never experienced a mist on a shower head so that is very nice especially for a brief, low water use, cool down in the summer. The two shower heads also make it convenient to have a showerpool (get it...like carpool!) if you're into that. If you're looking for a true rainfall feel, this is probably not going to cut it, but you'll need to spend more money also. Overall a satisfactory product for the price, especially if you're just renting and want something more than the dingy shower heads most apartments come with! Easy installation, didn't affect water pressure July 13, 2015 The installation was fairly simple. I don't think it affected the water pressure. I think the rain/massage setting is the most gentle. The massage feels like it's beating me up and the rain feels like needles. To be fair, I hate high pressure in the water. The weaker the better, imo. But if you're like my bf or every other person I know, you'll enjoy the massage one or rain.I think it's good for couples who like to shower together because there's no need to take turns under the water. One can get the handheld the other can stand under the other one.The cord is long enough for a regular apartment shower. If I ever dared bath my cat at home and not at the groomers it would work (but that won't happen).I can even fit my shower caddy, granted it does affect how much the shower head (not the handheld) can rotate but that doesn't matter to me. I wish it stuck out more because the other shower head is so big it blocks it from view. Lots of plastic. June 4, 2015 Lots of plastic. This entire thing is made of chromed plastic, with virtually no metal at all save the hose.That being said, it does work well, and is a nice size. I purchased a home with a massive walk-in shower and needed something to fill the space with water. I set the larger on the streaming standard shower settings and the smaller on the 'mist' setting and it worked perfect.With two shower heads it does use a lot of water, even without 'modifying it' by taking out the governor. But it worked very well for my uses.I wish it came in a brushed copper or black. Good item at decent price March 7, 2015 This shower works well and provides a great distribution of water to a large surface area. Can't really tell which feature saves water because they all seem to put out a decent volume. Misting is quite pleasant but water cools more quickly because of the small droplet size. I tried both shower heads individually and together, testing with the water flow constrictor caps and removed, and ultimately settled on a compromise: I expanded the holes in the plastic caps to maybe double their diameter using a metal pick to allow some higher volume of water without removing the caps entirely. At this setting the force is very strong when coming out of one shower head, and then with both shower heads running at once there is lots of coverage. As a result of the modification there is some pressure reduction when both are running, but it's not too terribly disappointing. I thought the caps left in kept the water flow rate a little lower than desired, while the caps out caused some pressure loss, but admittedly I didn't try each setting for a long period of time before boring out the restrictor caps.The material quality is very good and the price is reasonable. Recommend the item overall. HotelSpa® Ultra-Luxury 30-setting 3-way... March 1, 2015 I really like this combo shower head. Although it is all plastic it looks great and was easy to install and there was no leaks (I bought some Teflon tape and used it on every connection). Something to note is that originally my shower arm had a 6" shower arm. Before I installed this combo shower head I changed the shower arm to an 8" - very glad I did. It offers more space from the wall for the shower head(s). Both shower heads have good pressure ( I removed the regulators) when used separately. I was able to use both heads at the same time but the pressure wasn't that great from either one - that could just be because we are on a well. The only thing I don't like about the main shower head is that there is no setting that lets you have a full water spray from all the spray holes. The setting that comes closest is one that all the spray holes (not the center circle holes) are used and the center holes are more of a misting varied spray not constant like the surrounding holes. I don't change settings very often I just want a full spray of water - this doesn't quite deliver. If you change settings a lot you may like the main shower head more. I found a Kohler one setting shower head on Amazon that looks similar that I am going to replace the main shower head with. I think this will give me the full spray I'm looking for. | 18% Used two together - worked out great but requires support June 21, 2017 Used two of these arms - one for extending height and one to center over shower (like an "L"), with Delta RP50841 (lighter square rain head). Worked out great because of adjustability. No leaks. I would have given these 5 stars, but the wing levers really do not hold position. I addressed this by adding a chrome chain from the wall for support. I'm okay with this because it looks "industrial" and is a temporary fix, but probably not preferred by most. Useful but I wish it was sturdier May 8, 2017 It is missing a sturdiness that could lend itself to holding up heavier faucets but it is useful for certain. We acquired a rainfall head and we wanted it to be positioned more towards the middle of the shower. Our shower head though does use a switching valve near the base of the main waterfall piece that will switch the water between the hand held and the overhead. due to the somewhat flimsy nature of this faucet extender it often requires adjustment while in the shower. Easy to adjust height, extendable, what's not to like. December 14, 2016 as compulsive movers, a hand held shower that I found on a discount years ago is the first thing that goes in the packing box (ikr? weird strokes for weird folks lol). But for washing pets, cleaning the shower stall, etc, I simply cannot go back to a standard wall/ceiling fixture. The one we have is the best for our needs and is one of the easier installs in the world. It also sits at 45 degrees so the added height is a great feature. In short we would never part with it.In our current home, however, the spout from the wall is way too low - even for this more stand-up contraption. Not an issue for my shorter build, but could not imagine how my taller husband managed. Thing is, he usually never complains about anything, so when he did moan about the low-height-and-hence-ducking, I started my hunt. After other unsuccessful attempts at extensions, the Delta extension fit the bill perfectly.Did I mention, that we also have a water filter attached to the whole thing? The whole damn thing looks like some p* mpd out alien fire sprinkler - lol, but hey, the softer hair, increased pressure, and the aah! moment when you step into the shower; is good dividends.Tip: Don't give up on the first attempt at install, my husband did, and I had no issues with installing and making this work with different parts made by different companies.One star knocked off for leaking at the elbow, (fixed that with a new valve I got from the HW store). As it turns out, if you're in the shower and you're not that tall, which my wife isn't, then you can't reach the top portion to actually adjust this. And for me, a tall and pretty strong guy, I found that levers / little metal bars that are used to tighten and loosen the adjustment threads need to be pretty tight for the shower head to stay in the desired position. Not a big deal but when you're trying to loosen it to make an adjustment, it's actually pretty hard to do so if you're planning on adjusting your shower head height and angle per use, you might want to consider these thoughts. As far as mission objective goes, it does the job. January 2, 2015 Well it doesn't leak, which was the initial concern for this product. The knobs are small and the short handles hurt when you turn it, so I had to use a washcloth to reposition my Thunderhead shower head to the elevated position. It moved around due to the weight of the showerhead and I had to tighten it with serious effort to get it to stay in place. Then when I wanted to reposition it, a lot of effort (accompanied with some pain) was needed to loosen the knob from it's tight fastened position. Other than that, I feel the picture makes it seem longer than it looks in real life; it actually seems kind of short when you are holding it in your hand. I needed this because my wall pipe is located too low and my showerhead hits me in the face when I go to turn the water off, so as far as mission objective goes, it did the job. Excellent!!!! Three Star Reviews: | 6% Great company, but product didn't perform as expected March 9, 2017 I ordered this product and the company was great. Quick delivery, easy instructions, and it was a very easy install.I installed this in an upstairs bathroom and thought there would be enough water pressure for, but it turns out there was not enough pressure to operate both heads at the same time. I also did not like the spray settings on the main head, as I could literally put my hand in the middle of the spray pattern without my hand getting wet. I've returned this product, but would order from this company again. worked well for few months June 6, 2016 Worked well for few months and after that the water started leaking from the bottom of the hand shower. Apart from this, the item works well. I still use this as the shower head works well. The various setting available on the shower heads makes shower a good experience. I like the power rain setting on the shower head and the mist setting on the handheld shower. You also have an option to use either of the two heads by just turning the knobs (located towards the end of both shower head) in correct direction.I would have given the item 5 star had the following items were addressed/met:1. no water leak from the bottom of the shower heads2. better quality knobs for turning on/off the individual shower heads. Here's the deal with this bad boy. I love it June 1, 2016 Here's the deal with this bad boy. I love it. It's great and there are so many settings that it makes taking a shower fun. Do you want it misty? Hard like rain? Or something in between. It's all there. Now, why did I only give it a 3 star? Well, the main shower head broke off. Now granted, this is only a $30'ish dollar product, so to assume it's made of the best quality would be pushing it. However, I wasn't expecting it to break off after having it for less than a year. Anywho, I did end up buying the same one again to replace the broken one because I love it so much and I'm hoping this won't happen a second time. We shall see. If you're looking for something that looks nice and is a great price with lots of adjustment features, this is your answer. Mind you, it does not feel substantial by any means. It's pretty much all made of plastic, but it works great and who cares in the end. Would make for a great shower head in a guest bath or somewhere it's not being used heavy-handedly. Also, it's super easy to install. You don't need to be a genius to get this one right. Worked great at first....then old age set in. February 3, 2016 It's very "meh". Like other reviews have said, it's probably about 95% plastic, the hose and the actual connections are metal, everything else if just flimsy.The shower heads are adjustable, but it's not exactly easy to do it, and the knob to switch between the heads is difficult to actuate if you're not in the shower.I haven't had the hose bust, and I haven't encountered the gamut of problems that other reviewers have had. The showers have multiple flow types, but the one pertinent to this review is the three nozzle "pulsating massage".There is apparently a little disc in there that uses the pressure of the water to spin, while having holes positioned so only two streams function at any given time (creating the "pulse"). I use that setting to rinse myself, and the shower off before stepping out, but the handheld showerhead is no longer working properly in that setting. It's like the disc is "catching" on something inside the showerhead, so the setting with the most focused water pressure is now severely flow restricted. In fact,the setting is so gentle, I can comfortably spray my face.Nine months isn't exactly long-lived... Just Okay, I was dissappointed. January 20, 2016 There is a lot of weight placed at the end of the plumbing leading to the shower head. The hand sprayer leaks where it attaches at the bottom. The selector knob is well defined and easy to switch, unfortunately it never completely switches from the handheld sprayer to the main head, causing even more drips. It works right now, and seems to be something that would last if we needed it to, but I am looking to replace it with something that leaks less and is more decisive. Hard for short people & box had no instructions July 12, 2015 This is very hard to reach if you're short and I would not recommend it for kids old enough to shower alone. I am unable to put the hand sprayer back up on the hook -- my husband has to do it. It's also very hard to reach the controls on the main shower head and the one to switch between sprayer and main head. I'm five foot one. I realize some of this may be related to how high your shower plumbing is but my guess is that this would be hard for most shorter people. Beyond this, the box came without instructions of any kind. Thankfully it's all pretty self explanatory but it would have made us feel better to know we were doing the install correctly. Better if had an adjustable connection at supply connection April 29, 2017 I installed this today and no matter how many times I tried, the arm would always be at a horizontal position for being able to be adjusted. In order to get it in the right position, I had to use a smaller rubber gasket connecting to the main supply pipe. It would have worked much better had the connection had a adjustable connection there as well. I would have given it 5 stars if that would have been the case. I do not know how the thinner gasket will work over time period I am worried that it will leak. Better then plastic... April 6, 2017 It leaks a bit out of one of the joints but its not too bad. I've had problems with it slipping in the beginning especially when first starting up the shower, so I've tightened both handles several times since I first set it up. So far, it hasn't slipped the past week but we will see how long it holds up. Will update and increase rating if it holds better as time passes. Works but not great with heavier rain shower heads... January 6, 2015 This faucet extender looks great and it might be just fine for a smaller shower head... however... it does not support much weight.I put a plastic rain shower head on the end of this extender and it drooped down with both hinges tightened after a few seconds. I then readjusted and tightened the hinges a bit more tighter than I was comfortable with. It holds now, but I am a bit worried about the long term viability of this extender. This is not a 12 inch extension and restricts flow... July 4, 2013 I gave it 3 stars because technically it works and it's cheap. You should know that this is not a 12" extension. It is a 9" extension, which is the same length as the Danze D481150 9-Inch Adjustable Shower Arm with High Flow, Chrome which has a larger diameter feed tube (for higher flow) with adjusters that are more sturdy and will work better with heavier shower heads such as the Moen S6320 Velocity Two-Function 8-Inch Diameter Rainshower Showerhead, Chrome which we also purchased here on Amazon.To sum up, the diameter of the tubing used in this product does not match the diameter of the Shower Arm coming out of the wall. It's much narrower and could restrict water flow, which is not something you want if you are using a Rain Shower type shower head. It's also very thin wall construction and flexed quite a bit during installation. It felt to me as though any really hard cranking on it with a wrench would probably bend it. Two Star Reviews: | 5% Made of plastic - and the manufacturing quality wasn't very good on the one we received June 8, 2017 Seemed OK in the pictures, but for us the quality wasn't good enough when we opened the package. The plastic molding that they use in manufacturing left big ridge lines along the side of the shower head (it's all made of plastic). We sent it back. Waste of Money February 19, 2017 Due to recent health issues, I needed a shower head with a handheld that I could control the water flow. This seemed like a good option and it turned out to not do anything I needed it to do.The main shower head works fine, hence not giving the hotel spa shower head a one-star. The issue is when I set it to come out of both shower heads, it's just a trickle. Even when I set it to come out of just the handheld, barely any water comes out.We have taken this apart and reinstalled it multiple times, exactly as instructed. Still, we get the same results. The handheld is worthless. So I ended up with a showerhead the did exactly what my previous showerhead. I would avoid. October 31, 2016 My wife and I have purchased a few of these. Two of them are already broken within the first couple months. On one of them the bigger head popped right off (not able to put it back on, the piece snapped off). The other one the knob to change the shower heads will not move and it's stuck on using only one of them. The third one we have in a box somewhere, we're trying to just give it away (bought it for my mother but she never used it). It looks great and it works fine but with time the knob ... September 27, 2016 It looks great and it works fine but with time the knob to switch from the shower handle to the other shower head starts getting very hard to turn. It is so hard that it is now stuck and I cannot switch from one shower to the other. It is badly designed in functionality and now I can only use one shower head which makes it silly to buy a two-shower head if you cannot use it. It was fine for about 6 months... September 24, 2016 I purchased this shower head a year ago in August. It worked fine for the first six months until the larger/fixed shower head broke off at the thread. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement for that head pretty quickly. I thought it might have been from over tightening so I was careful to not do that when i reinstalled it. It's only been about 7 months since the replacement and it broke off last night at the same spot. In addition to that, the chrome finish on the entire shower head has been chipping and flaking off pretty much since we got it and the water preasure has been slowly declining for the last 4 months. The hose, though it hasn't broken, began to rust after about 6 months of use. When I was inspecting the wand this morning to see if it still worked, I noticed that the theading that attaches it to the main line was also cracked. I will not be asking for a replacement, and I will not be repurchasing. I'm just done. One is now broken as they are made of pretty cheap plastic September 23, 2015 I bought two of these when we purchased this house in March. One is now broken as they are made of pretty cheap plastic. One is still working fine and I did like it until it broke. The main shower head broke of when you tried to pull it down and it does not take much for it to break if you are careful it may last other than that they work great. I am going to order one that is not plastic not that much more expensive and should hold up better. If you have no children may not be a problem my ten year old daughter tried to get it down as in the shower it did spray a little to high had to stand in the back of the shower. March 3, 2016 I have been using this shower arm for about a week and am indifferent. The aesthetics are great and the material is quality including the joints which do not leak. The product falls short in function as the adjustable joints cannot be tightened reliably by hand.If you intend to use this shower arm with a heavy shower head such as a rainfall design, I would suggest that you look elsewhere. As others have pointed out the design of the wing nut tighteners is far from ergonomic. I have pretty incredible finger strength, and I struggle to tighten the joints enough to keep the shower head in place. Additionally, the handles are not comfortable to grasp, which exacerbates the issue. As such, I was required to use a wrench to tighten the base joint more permanently, which renders the adjustability function useless.I am considering returning this item and replacing it with something more satisfactory. Cheaply Made Thin Pipe That Bends May 14, 2015 Delta usually has good quality products. I've installed 2 of their shower heads before with no issues in the past 10+ years.This extension is cheaply made. The pipe flat out bent when I was turning it by hand. Additionally I don't consider myself to be a rather strong guy. I'm not exactly going out and winning any arm wrestling contests.My advice is skip on this product go to your local hardware store, and buy a more sturdy pipe and two connectors. If your Rain Head is over a pound there is a good chance this will not hold it upright August 17, 2014 For Smaller shower heads. If your Rain Head is over a pound there is a good chance this will not hold it upright. I have the Culligan C115 RainDIsk Showerhead. It's over a pound and it won't stay up. No matter how hard you tighten it, you have to watch it slowly droop down to vertical. This extension is really 9", but does look nice. It's design, not so much. Poorly implemented wing nut tighteners. If it just had knurled ends to keep from slipping it would work great.So far, I have tried filing the thin edges of the rotating parts to make them rougher and hold better. It worked right up until I ran warm water through it. That was enough to let it begin to fall again. Mostly I tightened it very tightly, with pliers and a bar through the handle for more pressure. Tried a wrench. Tighten it after every movement for best results. I tightened it many times right up to that point where it's about to break. It would still slip if the bar was 45 degrees or more from vertical. That's how you know it's a poor design rather than just not tightening it enough. Pretty disappointing, considering it's just a friction problem. I'm a tinkerer and I will find a solution, but you shouldn't have to go through all this. I'll probably insert some rough edged washers so it will grip.It's hard to believe more people aren't complaining about this. Once in a while I rotated the non-detachable piece a bit right or left within the limits of its ball-point joint. Today the upper part of the ball-point joint broke off entirely rendering the shower head unusable. Final verdict: too much plastic, no longevity and money flushed down the drain. Pass this one over. February 15, 2014 It does what it says mostly. It fits your shower pipe. It swivels and when tightened it will stay in place. The build quality feels cheap since it is mostly plastic. The problem is at the swivel joints the pipe size is cut in half and this limits the amount of water flow to the shower head. It would not wot with a big rainfall head. It could not supply enough water to the shower head to let it function. We bought a much smaller shower head and it had very little pressure also. Ending up just removing this thing. If you are only using a small very basic shower head it may work.
