Five Star Reviews: | 89% Great Adhesive! July 30, 2017 We used this to attach a replacement wall in our RV -- really stuck and did not melt the foamboard insulation. Highly recommended. Polystyrene to plywood April 19, 2016 Very good product. Glued a piece of polystyrene to some plywood for insulation in my motor home and it worked very well.. This stuff is great if you need to stick polypropylene foam to stuff with out fear of eating the foam away. Just right for the job December 16, 2013 One of the few contact cements that don't dissolve polystyrene. It sprays on in a fairly uniform layer, then you wait 2-3 minutes and bond the two pieces together. Just watch those fumes; there is lots of solvent vapor produced when the glue is getting tacky enough to bond. I would not want to be subjected to the fumes routinely, but for my quick small job they were not a problem with lots of ventilation. Outside would be even better. Sloppy but effective December 1, 2011 This larger can seems a bit more sloppy spraying than the smaller cans I have bought before, and has a different nozzle. This spray glue works well for styrofoam, which is what it is designed for. Also works for just about anything from pool table covers to anything else that needs a solid (but not bulletproof) bond. A bit pricey, but 3M's quality is always good even if a little overpriced. It sticks November 17, 2010 I used this product to attach polystyrene foam insulation to aluminum on a skylight to stop the condensation on skylight. The insulation adhered quickly, although it is probably too soon to say that it has adhered permanently. However, it did the job very nicely for me. | 21% Super great kit May 27, 2016 Super great kit, used as much as 10 cans of the regular single part stuff, but still not quite large enough. It does not get near as warm as they would have you believe. Easy to use and a very small wand to get ... August 3, 2014 Worked very well for a small project that I had sealing up some floor joist. Easy to use and a very small wand to get into hard to reach spaces. Small Job, Perfect Kit September 30, 2013 I got this kit to fill in an area of my basement where mice had been getting in and where I had traditionally had a draft. Not only was it easy to use, but I haven't had a need for one mouse trap since and the draft is now gone. The directions were easy enough to follow, but the video they sent me in my confirmation email made it even more seamless. I'm thinking about finishing the rim joist area with one of the larger kits since I have a lot more square footage, but I recommend this kit for any smaller jobs around the house. Easy to use kit, great product, great service and easy to follow directions. Will definitely use Foam It Green again! Under floor project September 17, 2013 I used the Foam It 12 to spray the underside of a small section of floor that is always cold. The kit contained complete instructions and the company even has a how-to video on their website to show you how to set up the kit.The Foam It 12 was just the right size for my small project. It was super easy to use and I was able to finish my project quickly.I'm sure I'll find other spots around the house that could benefit from a little foam insulation, and when I do, I'll be using Foam It Green. |
Four Star Reviews: | 11% Works on foam January 22, 2011 works well when I glue the foam onto the walls. Also works well when I glued two pieces of foam together. | 32% Easy and Works! November 26, 2013 This product worked great for me to insulate under a bump out bay window. There is a noticeable difference on the inside now. Job done August 27, 2013 I used larger kits from this company and had great result with my rim joist area. I had to cut into the existing foam to do some plumbing work so I needed to replace what I had to take out and the 12 kit was the perfect size. I read the the direction on the box and watched the video on their website and it was done right away. Highly recommended. Did what it was supposed to August 19, 2013 Followed instructions on the box, watched the online video, dispensed the foam. Foam stuck to the intended surface and was hard/dense when cured. Did not use a dropcloth since I didn't care about the floor, but would recommend it if you do. Easy to use, helpful tutorials. Worked great August 13, 2013 Got great results using this kit. Before I used the kit I went over the instructions and watched the instructional video on the Foam It Green website so I would know how to get the best results. It's a really easy system, basically you spray it on thin, it rises and cures in about 5 minutes and I was sure i got the ratio right because the foam was green. |
Three Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 26% Slightly better than Stuff for big cracks for a small area. January 15, 2015 I've used a lot of Foam It product and loved it -- once I got the feel of it. This stuff was different. The first 50% came out OK but then it was like there wasn't enough pressure to push the chemicals. I shook the containers plenty and they had been at almost 80 degrees for several days. As I've learned to do with the big kits, I laid my pattern out carefully so I didn't need to lift the trigger or waste any foam. I was still getting both chemicals when things went bad but it just sputtered instead of spraying. OK for small jobs. June 29, 2014 I was a little disappointed in the net amount of foam I got for the money. However, I was spraying up into a vaulted ceiling area which was challenging. Cheap plastic handle, but company backs product August 12, 2013 The cheap plastic handle that you are supposed to use to turn it on broke during the simple act of switching it on. Saw another review that said the same, wish I had listened. It was useless after that, as the little plastic piece is supposed to hold down the lids from the bottle inside. Update: the company tracked me down and refunded me the money even though I did not contact them to do so. They seemed genuinely interested in the issues I had with the handle. Hopefully they will remedy that aspect of the product, but at least they stand behind it and are attentive to the customer. Since they went the extra mile, I think I would give them another shot if I need a product like this again. If you purchase, just be very careful to follow the directions and handle the plastic "switch" gently. The foam itself seems to be exactly what you would want/expect and the little bit I was able to use hardened up firmly. |

One Star Reviews: | 0% There are no reviews yet | 21% Since there is no way to determine if you will get your money's worth I would recommend you purchase from some other company July 9, 2016 I made sure the box was retained with the cans upright according to the arrow printed on the box.I did this by strapping the box to a chain link fence so it could not turn over. After spraying about 1/2 to 2/3 of the material the only thing that sprayed was the blue material.the other material was totally run out.Blue material alone does not foam and does not get hard.I would not ever buy another product from this company as there is no way to know how well it will work.Since there is no way to determine if you will get your money's worth I would recommend you purchase from some other company. I figured it was a good trial before spending the thousands for the larger kits ... December 2, 2014 I tried this product for the underside on floor joists that were always cold in winter. I figured it was a good trial before spending the thousands for the larger kits for the whole underside of the floor. As a previous reviewer stated, covering 12 sqft was not even close to what it did. The nozzle was hard to control the flow with, and the product didn't discharge away from the nozzle more than a couple inched. I ended up covering about 4 sqft, and it is not a solid covering. I was very disappointed. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT December 1, 2013 The cans were empty within 30 seconds. Did not cover half the area as advertised. A complete waste of money! Does not work well July 23, 2012 I tried two of the Foam It 12 units. One of the units worked fine, although there was little control over the flow of the foam. The mechanism includes a small roller that pinches the tubes carrying the foam components -- but this was not capable of shutting off the flow. So basically once you started it, it kept going until the cans were discharged. Unfortunately, this meant I wasted about 30% of the foam because I wasn't able to properly direct the stream. One of the units completely failed, with parts missing and the warranty was not honored by the company.I would not recommend this product, and would suggest trying some of the very similar products by more reputable manufacturers. |
