This is amazing insulation. It just works - no fumes and easy clean up. The ability to cover tough areas where fiberglass cannot easily get to is great. However, the best feature is sealing out air drafts, moisture and that it is mold resistant.
It's great stuff and easy to use
April 27, 2017
I've used Foam It Green to insulate our entire old farm house. It's great stuff and easy to use. It's also very expensive, but no more expensive than competing products. You have to consider this product as a long term investment as the cost savings won't be realized for years. But with this installed our house is like living in an Igloo cooler.
Works exactly as advertised.
July 19, 2016
I was slightly intimidated when I received this but after closely reading the directions and making sure to do exactly as they said, it came out very well. I insulated a 2 car garage and followed instructions to a T. Product does exactly as it says it will and is very easy to apply. It took me about an hour to apply and I was even able to insulate my metal garage doors with it.
This product was so amazing. It seems pricy until you get it going
December 21, 2014
This product was so amazing. It seems pricy until you get it going. We live in Minnesota and this spray foam is top of the line. We did 2 inches thick around the exterior walls and windows filling all little gaps and openings. Then we did fiberglass. It goes a long way. When it starts to turn blue you are almost out but still should have enough to finish. We will purchase this in the future for any other buildings do. Having two people is key. One to move the tanks around, one to spray. Good directions and easy for most do it yourselfers
foam it green
March 29, 2014
After much research I took the plunge. My first purchase ever was pallet full of 602 kits. I tackled a whole house built at the turn of the century. Had wormy chestnut logs for floor joists. So lots of gaps and uneven areas. There was near zero insulation in the home. I did a full cavity fill on every place I could put it. Wow what a difference, immediate results. We had purchased the home in Dec 2012 and by summer 2013 had spent about $2000.00 in fuel oil with the thermostat set at 50 degrees. Just warm enough to work on the building and keep the pipes from freezing. In the fall of 2013 , I installed the foam. It is now spring of 2014 and I have used $850.00 so far in heating and will probably need an additional $150.00 to complete the year. I kept the house at 70 degrees this winter. Which was MUCH MUCH colder then 2012-2013 winter for my area. My estimate is $3000-$4000 I saved in 1 year. It is was very easy to hook every thing up and use. I really prepped the work site, so once I started I didn't have to move stuff. I sprayed 12 sets of 602's in one day. My arms were tired to say the least. If you are doing a full house maybe spread it over two days. Filling the attic joists was a breeze. Walls were pretty easy. Overhead work gets a bit messy. Then again it was a construction site. Being much of my work was large areas which were prepped . I sprayed the majority of the tank sets using only 1 nozzle. I personally did not care for the fan tip as much and was able to do all work with the regular tip. I assume different temperatures, humidity etc affect the odor. I really didn't mind it at all. If I painted a room with latex paint the odor would have be 10x worse in my opinion. I read reviews about how great these folks service is. Its TRUE. I tried calling in only to get a busy signal.. o yeah what great service I thought. So I was online (thats where I got the phone#)and opened a chat window with a person supposedly called LInda , Linda? answered all my questions very fast and efficiently and I was happy. Now at this point I had not given my phone number at any point. My phone rings in like 2 minutes after ending my online chat with the supposed Linda. It is "LInda" from foam it green . Her records showed they missed a call and she was returning a call. What company does that? I talked with Linda and explained I had just chatted with her online. I was Amazed to say the least when I hung up the phone. Are these people flawless? No . I was very specific when ordering( remember I ordered a pallet) that a tractor trailer would not be able to get the job site it would have to be a box truck or smaller. It came on tractor trailer which was unable to get to the job site. I called Foam it green and It was redelivered in a smaller truck at NO additional cost. One thing that impress me most is the absence of bugs in the home since foam it green was applied.. Buy with confidence from this company
This really works

This material really works. I used it to insulate an outbuilding that covers a water well on a remote property and it worked great.

Attaching filter to mask
October 3, 2017
Excellent mask and works as others have described.Use caution when attaching the filter housing to the mask. You MUST line up the notch on the filter housing with notch on mask or you will damage the three studs on the mask. Attaching the filter to mask directions are in the docs with pictures for a reason. Read them first before attempting to attach filter to mask.
Reliable protection, great price
August 26, 2017
I use these respirators for all kinds of projects. They filter out Organic Vapor fumes from various paints and sealants. They also filter out bad odors, so if you have a really smelly problem to deal with this makes it a lot easier to breathe. This one comes with a pair of pre-filters to block dust and extend the life of the actual vapor filters.

fits all nice. I love it and I will be testing it this week with some harsh chemicals that I will be spraying over my house.
It was very easy to assemble and the directions were very clear
June 28, 2016
I do painting and hydro dipping and even though I work outside, I needed extra protection from the fumes and chemicals. It was very easy to assemble and the directions were very clear. It was very easy to adjust to fit my head properly. I was surprised at how comfortable it really was, I was expecting it to be really bad. I live in Florida so there is no way of getting around it being hot and it does make your face sweat alot. I would recommend this product. I am very please with my purchase.
Great Mask
October 9, 2015
I got this respirator for spraying on some furniture refinishing projects. It does a great job at keeping the fumes out of my lungs. While I'm wearing it, I can't even smell the spray. I used it for brushing on some alcohol-soluble de as well, and it did an equally effective job at keeping the fumes out.The fit is fantastic, too. I am a big guy (6'3", 230 lbs.) with a big head (7 3/4 hat size) and it fits me like a glove. It has good adjustments on the straps so it can fit a variety of heads. Easy to put on and take off while I'm wearing rubber gloves, too.I read another review that said it was confusing to assemble. I didn't really find that to be the case. It seemed fairly intuitive and I was able to figure it out pretty quickly without referring to the directions. All in all, I'd say it's a great mask for anyone who's trying to minimize their exposure to toxic fumes. I hope there's no apocalypse, but I'm betting this thing could keep me alive for a while if there was.
Testament to validity of using a respirator in woodworking
September 29, 2014
Okay, I will be the first to say I slow rolled buying myself a respirator. I read all the safety reviews and had heard about the issues. It wasn't until about a year into my woodworking I started realizing I was getting short of breath walking up the stairs at my work and kind of made the connection. I've been using my respirator now fairly aggressively: anytime I'm sanding, antyime I'm using the tablesaw for multiple boards, lots of router work....etc. I knew I was benefitting, but the real evidence was just last week when I was taking a break and had my respirator sitting on the table in front of me, and you can SEE how yellowed the filters have become from all the stuff they had been cleaning out of the air I breathe. It was really nasty to look at and consider that had been what I had been breathing in and coating my lungs with. I'm no safety Nazi, but I would highly recommend getting one if you are sitting on the fence.

Closed cell foam great quality.

It was easy to use, came with plenty of applicators so you can use on multiple days. I also used it to stop some squeaks by spraying on the underside of the floor.
three 602's, one 202 order
December 25, 2015
I bought three 602's and one 202. The cost was rather significant investment. I did the rim joists in a new house. There were 2' tall floor trusses with 10' tall walls in the basement and 12' tall wall in the first floor. I needed two helpers to do this work efficiently considering the wall heights, scaffolding or ladders used, plumbing and mechanical and interior walls in the way, and tank weights and lengths of hose. I would say it was much easier than installing batt insulation in these hard to reach areas (especially the basement with all the mechanical systems in the way). It would have been a lot of cutting of batt insulation since the floor trusses were spaced at a less than common 19.2" on center. I assume it will pay off in the long run.The online videos that show how to do this were mostly accurate. If I were to leave any suggestions to someone who is planning to do this, watch the videos, don't plan to install during fall or winter since certain wall temperatures need to be maintained, order it early as the tanks needs to stay at 65 degrees for 24 hours before use ( which I don't remember being told up front), don't use the fan attachment, expect foam splatter, and wear a tyvek suit with goggles. Clean up on the floor and walls was pretty easy though.
Awsome
July 21, 2013
I used this on a cabin at my deer camp and it immediately made a huge difference in the temperatures inside the cabin. Now my A/C unit does not have to work so hard. I am buying more soon.
Worked for me
December 16, 2012
Product works just like they say it does. I liked it enough that I ordered a 2nd one yesterday for another job. Only problem is the short (15') hose assembly. I was working in a tight area and could not lug the heavy tanks in with me. I ended up having to remove electrical plugs, boxes and all, and forcing the gun and hose through to reach the entire area. A 30' hose would have made all the difference. I read somewhere on the internet that you need to heat the tanks to around 85 degrees using electric heaters. There is no truth in that. If you have the tanks in a 70 degree or higher room they will work fine. Don't plan on using the product on very cold surfaces, must heat them first, since it won't stick properly (read the manual) and also don't plan to use this product on walls (read the manual again). FYI, shipping cost to Georgia was over $100 (ouch!).

Works good
August 5, 2017
I bought this to use when painting, but I never got around to painting. I use this all of the time when removing rust (grinding, cutting, and wire wheel). It works great and makes a tight seal. It's easy to put on and take off once adjusted.
Good Value
June 30, 2017
So far seems to do the job. I paint mostly with waterborne acrylic paints and they have a distinct odor. this eliminates that and keeps me from breathing in any over spray. Fairly comfortable to wear for shorter 20-30 minutes at a time.
excellent product
December 14, 2016
i have used these for decades, they have changed a little here and there but they are great , well priced masks to protect your lungs.I dont understand why more people dont use these higher quality masks when working in fouled air....filter choices are great and pretty cheap too...
I use this mostly when I'm in the garage grinding or cleaning up metal and I no longer come in blowing particulates from my nose
November 27, 2015
This is a little tricky for me to write a review on because I have a beard and as such cannot get a 100% seal. However, I can say that's it's definitely prevented me from breathing in a lot of things I had in the past. I use this mostly when I'm in the garage grinding or cleaning up metal and I no longer come in blowing particulates from my nose when I'm done like I did when I was using a simple paper mask. In the future I may look for something that will work better for my application and facial hair but for now I'll keep wearing this because while it may not be a 100% effective on me, I'd approximate that it's at least in the 90's.
Great seal, works well for air pollution.
March 18, 2014
I got this mask because I am allergic to tobacco and cannabis smoke, two things which are prevalent in the public transportation I use. The best thing about this mask is that it is very comfortable and seals perfectly to the face, and I think you'd have to have some pretty extreme facial features for this to *not* be the case for you. The worst thing about this mask is that it's got a lot of space around your mouth, so if you're a light breather like me, you rebreathe a lot of your own carbon dioxide. After about 30 minutes of wearing this mask, I tended to get drowsy, so when I lost it while traveling recently, I decided to order a Vogmask instead. The rebreathing of carbon dioxide is the only thing keeping this mask from getting 5 stars from me.
bothered by pollen when mowing thr lawnn? try this
June 15, 2013
I have had it with sinus infections due to pollen and dust when mowing the lawn. 4 solid hours with a 6 foot mower and dust is every where. My sinuses end up infected and my eyes are destroyed for days. Have to see the doctor to get rid of the sinus infection and time is eaten up in the process. Not any more. bought this respirator and a set of safety goggles. Never knew I mowed for 4 hours today. Just laughed at the dust clouds and powered right through them. Best $$ I have spent in a long while.

Decent product but very very expensive
December 19, 2016
I've done two whole room tear outs and used these kit to insulate both. After calculating how much I needed ordered two kits each time and pretty much got the coverage expected. Now working on my 3rd rooom which is a little smaller but would still need 2 kits to do ($1400~). Decided to contact some professionals, took a while to find one willing to do a small job, estimate $700-800. Hmmm half the cost and I don't have to deal with it? Taking proper precautions it is still nasty stuff to be working with, think I'll use professionals from now on. I like doing the work myself but the cost difference is too much to pass up.
Three kits, one tyvek suit = back to store for more gear
December 19, 2015
Just a heads up : I ordered three 602 kits advertising they come with tyvek suits and other p.p.e. thinking i could avoid the two hour tour of the nearest (read very far) hardware store and just get to work. I received one set of p.p.e. Total For all three kits. Not the end of the world, but definitely check your boxes for suits before you hit your jobsites with workers, or you'll be paying someone to stand around or clean your truck instead of insulating your buildings . Rookie mistake on my part. I saw one set and assumed there was one in every kit! Will report back after foam sets overnight for product quality

October 22, 2014
Great product. We have purchased a second batch even though we were not too happy with the customer service. We had an issue on our first delivery that a partially used tank ran out all over the floor . I came home from work to a huge blue foam mess. I believe the valve ruptured for some inexplicable reason. We had damaged furniture in addition to the huge mess and were left with about $600 of useless product since one tank had expelled itself. When we asked the company to replace the ruptured tank we were subjected to multiple requests for pictures, weight of tank etc. They never agreed to replace the tank until we ordered a couple thousand dollars more product. I wasnt too happy that they were not more agreeable to replacing the defective tank. Like i said i feel it is a good product (expensive though) and just make sure you use it all pretty quickly or be ready to jump through hoops to get a replacement if it ruptures. I
I think i did something wrong
February 21, 2013
foam kit showed up quickly. all the parts where in the box. It was easy to put it together. My problem was that i couldn't spray it evenly and i had alot of dripping. I think it may have been due to my basement being to cold. the gauge on the tank however said it was in the green zone. this caused alot of waisted foam ( about 10%). what i did get on the wall seems to work very well and it sealed all the leaks. I didn't have enough to finnish so i will buy some more and spray it when it's warmer.

Its OK but Not the best for durability
August 18, 2017
I've had this respirator for just over 2 years, I dont use it but maybe twice a week for a few hours and the elastic doesn't stretch anymore and it looks all frayed. So, you cant pull it on and off since there isn't any stretch. Also the plastic head piece thing that sits on top of your head has broken one of the straps and where it attaches to the face piece is also broken. Looks like it was just melted into place anyway. Not the best construction so I will be looking for a different brand as a replacement.
may be better if they were wider
July 27, 2016
Elastic straps stretch out of usefulness too soon; may be better if they were wider? There's a lot of weight for them to carry for the size they are. Other than that the mask works and is comfortable to wear.
but it does seal around my face pretty well (be sure to tighten it)
April 6, 2016
Mask pulls on my face and discomfort is noticeable after an hour of usage, but it does seal around my face pretty well (be sure to tighten it). I use this for airbrushing miniatures and and I can hardly smell the paints. It does what it's suppose to, but the discomfort is pushing me to look for another mask.
Fine for airbrushing
December 19, 2015
I use this mask when airbrushing. I can't smell the paint when it's on but I am not a big fan of the filter covers. They are a pain to get seated and repeatedly fell off while using the mask. I used to have this one MSA Safety Works 817662 Paint and Pesticide Respirator and wish I would have bought it again.
Difficult with glasses of Safety Goggles
February 11, 2014
This filters out stuff very well in my shop. As a breathing filter I would have to give it four stars. I have to break it down to a dubious three stars on overall usability, because I can't get my safety glasses or protective goggles over them when working around wood dust and other things needing vision protection in my shop.
Fits but....
February 11, 2013
I will start by saying I am a smaller sized female and the small mask does "fit" my face appropriately. I passed the inhale and exhale fit test that the instructions recommend that you perform. However, this mask is quite large and bulky and the main problem I am having with it is pain on the bridge of my nose after 5-10 minutes of wearing. I have moved it up and down my face slightly, but it always puts a lot of downward pressure on my nose. As well, the strap that goes behind your neck changes the fit of the mask whether you are looking up or down. I find it almost fits better to make those straps as long as they can get, and loop them over top of my head. Perhaps I am just not designed to wear this mask, as I find it quite uncomfortable. I am using it while brushing and rolling paint in our house, as well as caulking as the instructions state not to breathe the caulk fumes. I will say that while wearing it, I can't smell a darn thing (except the plastic/rubber smell of the mask) and it does feel like I am breathing cleaner air. Too bad I have to hurt so much while doing so.

The Sq Ft Lie
March 12, 2017
Foam it Green is a rip off. Their kits are not the amount of sq ft they advertise. I have 482 sq ft that needed done and I bought the 602 kit. It barely did 2/3 the job. You're better off going to Lowes and getting their kit. It expands WAY better and sets much harder. #boycottfoamitgreen
Foam it green has no support or warranty as per Chris, Linda, and Phil At the foreign made (Japanese writing) foam it green.
October 10, 2016
First you never get the coverage they claim oh wait actually after they claim a particular coverage- written of the kit and its description, they tell you in "fine print " that you will not get that coverage and they do not guarantee that you will get that coverage.Second, after using a tank- I've sprayed over 16 - 600 kits, for a period of time the consistency of the spray changes so keeping the same thickness becomes impossible. Picture beginning and spraying a foam that forms a coherent spray of a given thickness and later using a spray that looks like stuck together jelly beans. Also when the consistency changes, the spray is impossible to spray to the same thickness so it looks- pardon the language-'like you sprayed a depiction of intestines. It becomes impossible to stay level after the tank pressure has been used up just a little. Now realize this is the result using all the guidelines, for example only squeeze the spray 1/4 of the total travel distance etc.... In fact by telling you to spray with only 1/4 trigger they are actually confirming that the tank has an accelerant problem. The best was when they told me the chemicals never go bad. So I wanted to hear that before I opened a tank that was a year old and they said the tank ruptured and had no more accelerant so kiss your 700 $$$$ good by. But I'm really stupid I ordered again two sets of 600 I think and the second one I'd defective. I know this because they told me. They said heat the yellow tank to 85 degrees it should solve the problem. The chemicals were make in Japan a little too thick. So I did that it didn't solve the problem. I spray foam and it turns to liquid goo. I have to clean up these dangerous chemicals that dripped everywhere. I mean it's from Who knows where who really knows what is in it? I don't because I can not read the Japanese writing on the tank. In fact this company used to openly advertise that it was made in the USA. Look at the tank it's made in Japan. Now only the box says made in USA. Sounds like a class action suit against Chris, phill, and Linda right? So. Anyway they had told me they would make it right. Just email them some info from the tank and the weight. This is standard communication to transition from phone to email so they can screw you with an email instead of having to tell you on the phone. In my case Chris emailed that I would have to pay a discounted 85 dollars for a gun. He said I was over the 30 day warranty. Actually the idiots worded their warranty so it covers the kit to produce use good foam. I said what if the gun is not the problem how do I get my money back and a working kit? Why do I have to pay for the gun? The reply was that if the issue is not the gun then I will have to pay to ship the kit back to them and then back to me. In other words there is no warranty go screw your self. It would probably cost me 300 to 500 dollars to ships as they said. The warranty says basically we will cover you until you get what you paid for. After I wrote my first negative review I received a call from Chris and told him exactly where his lying deceiving damned soul should go.I have updated this review. The foreign writing on the tank lists the name address and phone number of a Japanese company named Asahi glass co. Limited known as AGC. It is a global glass manufacturing company. If you do a search you can find images of this sprayed product on their web site. It may also translate as Asahi glass coat and resin inc. I'll try to fin the image of the product and post. So I guess its made somewhere by a Japanese company.
Inferior Kit, horrible "customer Intergation"
October 10, 2014
Be careful buying from this company. 1) The Kits never give you the actual coverage. 2) The design of the spray gun is flaky and can result in one tank emptying before the other and spraying uneven leaving an absolute mess out of the walls. 3) Their customer service is more like a "customer integration" when called. They will ask you million leading questions to prove that it was you and not their cheap defective kit. Their manual and operating guide is filled with disclaimers to cover themselves in case the kit doesn't do what it should do. I truly hated working with these folks and after spending $800 they treated me like a lair as soon as I contacted their customer service "Linda AKA the customer interrogator" who doubted me from the first minute. Amazon is investigating the methodology they use to get you on the phone and prove that you did something wrong if the foam is not producing the results anticipated. they ask to visit your site if you ask for money back or send the 100 pound plus tanks back to them for "testing" at your cost...incredible!!!! I ended up completing my project by buying another product called "two component Polyurethane" from another company, and actually got an expanding foam insulation covering the square footage it advertises. What a concept!! Foam it green may be called green since it brings in lots of money to this company. I never got my money back even partially..This is an inferior kit to others and would not buy again.
Poor customer service
April 27, 2014
I purchased 2 602 kits. The first one worked fine, the second one is a real pain in the back side. I contacted the company and it's now over 2 weeks with try this no try this with no end in site. The second kit was like this from the beginning, looks correct then turns to a liquid and smells real bad. there answer is scrap it off and wash the wall. Very unrealistic approach!
Very Toxic, and NOT worse it
January 16, 2014
I have an old house and I had no insulation at all, so I ordered 602 Slow Rise kit to fill the emptiness between the walls.3 things that are wrong with this product1. You will never fill the entire gap, and if you missed spots the wall will be cold in those places, and you cannot redo it. I spoke with professionals, and even they said it's almost impossible to fill it our 100%, that is why professional almost never do injections with spray foam. I did mine and I can tell you the job is NOT GOOD. I wish I wound't not do that.I know it looks good on their video, but you will NEVER, repeat NEVER get this results.2. On their site "Sq/f calculator is based on 1" thickness, turns out I have 4", so to insulate the house with this product is not realistic.(this my mistake, but just wanted to bring it up, so you will be aware of this too)3. I did not like how it insulated the wall that I did, so I started doing research for alternatives and found out that this spray foam is EXTREMELY TOXIC, read this[...]I wish I knew that before I bought it, I was spraying with my wife and 3 year old kid in the house (on a different floor of course, but in the house), even worse I did not know that 'sanding' is the same TOXIC as when you were applying the spay, their instructions doesn't warn you about any of it.At the end I went with cellulose, it covered all 4" 100% dense, it costed me 4 times cheaper, and are you ready? that is with professional installation, not by me.Just wanted to share it so people will not make mistakes that I did.

Tabs that hold in filter started to wear after a couple months. Not usable as of two weeks ago.
Poor design, cheap implementation of the pre-filter covers
April 28, 2015
Like other reviewers, I found the thin, clear plastic covers that are supposed to retain the pre-filters are very flimsyand flexible and unable to grab the filter frame properly. As a result they fall off of the mask, and the filter with them, at the slightest contact. Had to stop, pick up the filter and cover, and push it back onto the frame several times during a 20 minute job. Close examination shows that there is no way to make these covers adhere properly.
I got a lemon, but Amazon fixed the problem. The straps on the one I got were made of rotten rubber that broke on first use.

I got a lemon, but Amazon fixed the problem right away. 1) The straps on the one I got were made of rotten rubber that broke on the first use. The particle filter cap on one side was cast too big and would not clip on, kept falling off.

Zero stars seems more fitting.

I could still smell fumes when I worked with this mask on, and not long after that the strap that holds the mask to your head broke making this already lackluster mask completely worthless. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
