I have a fridge that has NO ICE MAKER. And for me, ICE is a must. I chew it. A lot. I was a bit worried about this, as they are not cheap. But, truly, it works VERY NICELY. Now, it is LARGER than you think. I purchased a small table to put this on, because; I didn't want it sitting on the table or the counter. And the little table does nice. It was only $20. Realize, you add water to it. I found a cup that fills the resevoir in one shot, and simply add water that way. One filling makes a little more than 2-full loads of ice. And it makes those really fast.I make the ice, and put it into an ICE BIN in my freezer, then turn this thing off. That way, it should LAST me a lot longer than it would if you expected it to keep the ice for you.;O)I recommend POWER OFF when you are not making ICE. It powers up FAST. And makes ice FAST. I like it a lot!2016-DEC-27 Update.Never understood the propensity of modern appliances to NEVER FULLY SHUT OFF... This one, for instance, has a green light that BLINKS non-stop as long as it is "OFF". To me, that's a waste. So, I purchased a block, grounded, ON/OFF switch, that the cord plugs into, then that plugs into the wall. That way, I can FULLY turn it off when I'm NOT making Ice. The way I use it, I make 3-full loads of ice, then shut it off until I am running LOW on Ice again. So, this thing is OFF most of the time, and ON only about 1-hour 3-times a week. In my view, it should therefore, last for YEARS using this approach.2017-SEP-19 Update:I've had this now, for almost a year. Still works VERY WELL. HOWEVER, a few things I have done to keep it alive... (1). I not only turn it OFF, but; I have an inline SWITCH installed, that cuts the power to it all together, when it is not being used. I truly believe this may have had a positive impact on it's long life. (2). I have very HARD water where I live, so; I use the VENDING water ONLY in this thing. The kind you see at Walmart or other stores, where you can buy a 3-gallon at a time jug. I am sure it has another positive impact on longevity. (3) I always check the water level BEFORE turning it back on. So, as long as you treat it nicely, and don't use it more than 2-or-3-days a week, as do I, then; it will last you a very long time!

Haven't stopped using this Ice Maker since I got it... I'm loving every second it is in my home... so really needed... can't wait until summer comes so I can have nice ice tea ... oh wait... I can have all year long...yay!really really nice...Update on this icemaker....My icemaker stopped on me and I went to the reviews to see if others were having issues too... and some are...This is only a helping hand and I'm no technician...Unplugged the icemaker... carried it to the sink and sprayed with lukewarm water the underside where the tray moves up and down that pushes the ice to the basket....let is settle for a few minutes and did it again...it's working like brand new....like any machine.... they have glitches...

I bought this over a year ago when I was pregnant as I had a crazy need to chew ice ALL the time. (And for those wondering, my iron was great!) This made ice that was the PERFECT texture to chew, not too hard, no too soft. (Almost as good as hospital ice) It has two different sizes small and large, I always use large as they're really not that big, probably about an inch diameter? The machine itself is great, the loudest noise it makes is the ice dropping into the tray. It does have a hum but it's no more noticeable than a refrigerator hum.For the record, to clean it you should just run a little vinegar-water through it.

Bought this for my son in law who just moved here from So. Africa ( he had one over there, had to leave it behind...not the right current) he LOVES it! Makes ice cubes super fast but he prefers the large size cubes, just the right size for his drinks. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase!

Makes ice very fast. size cubes are great, large isnt too large, just right. My kids and husband love this. It isn't very loud either, loudest part is when it drops the ice (no louder then a normal icemaker). Great price and product, we are very happy with it.

I owned a similar compact ice maker years ago. It was a magic chef brand. The quality on this one is much better. This one is smaller but makes makes more ice, and at a faster rate.

I bought this to use with an ice maker . . . but I have a confession. I have used it with: sugar, flour, rolled oats, chocolate bits, and it is sooo convenient I want more of them. It is my new go to tool!

We got this for our bottom freezer ice maker. We have for kids, and I quite honestly didn't want their hands in the ice tray! This was the perfect solution. It's the perfect size to pour into a large glass and fits in the small rack next to our ice tray. The kids enjoy using it, so it puts my mind at rest that there are no grubby hands in my ice! It's also dishwasher safe for the times when the kids drop it! I'm going to buy a second one today!

I almost didn't buy these after reading some of the other reviews, but I am very glad I did. They are very well made, and feel solid in my hand. They work great and do the job they are meant for...scooping things up...like ice in my freezer. I am not sure what other people were expecting...some said they aren't attractive enough for serving. I guess I don't understand what an "attractive " ice scoop looks like, but I don't buy tools to look at them or to impress other people...I buy them to use. These are strong and get the job done. If you want a dainty delicate acoop to impress your friends...maybe these aren't what you are looking for...but if you want a funtional well made scoop to actually scoop things, these are great. I would definitely buy these again...to use...not look at...

This is a nice ice scoop that can be found here at a very reasonable price. I had this in my cart for a long time trying to decide whether or not to buy it, and when I finally did, I was glad that I did, as it is useful in completing ice scooping duties for parties and tailgates. I would recommend this.

I got this scoop to discourage people putting their hands into the ice bin in my freezer. I placed the order based on price and later read some reviews that said it was way too small, so I was regretting my decision. However, when the scoop arrived it was a great size. Four ounces (half a cup) is not big if you are thinking of a measuring cup, but as a flattened scoop the size is just right. I keep it in my icemaker's reservoir, it doesn't get in the way, and it grabs 3-4 cubes per scoop (the long, semi-circular type cubes). I might need two scoops for a 12-oz size glass, more if I'm drinking from a really big tall glass.As to the handle, I don't find it uncomfortable to grab. Obviously a rounded handle or one that is not metal would be slightly more comfortable. However, neither the shape of the handle nor the cold from it really make a difference in my ice-obtaining experience: they are not something that would make me return or rate down this product.

These bags are very handy for use with the portable ice maker I purchased for work..no more asking people going out for lunch to bring back cups of ice, yay!

It scoops ice. Rather shallow scoop so you won't get a huge scoop at a time. Metal is thin, so be careful not bend it. We use it to scoop our Sonic ice into cups. Perfect for us.

Works as described. Works better if cold water from the fridge is used. I put some ice in the water tub to cool the water as much as possible as this helps make larger ice. Ice melts kind of fast if left in the tray for a while. My ice bin in the freezer is always full now. Happy with the purchase, hope it keeps working for a long time. It's kind of noisy but worth it for the amount of ice it makes. Best to put the ice in the freezer as soon as it drops to the tray.

I have had this ice maker for about 6 months, and I use it maybe 2 times a month. It makes ice fast and it really cool to watch. The only issue I have with it is that sometimes the sensors don't work and the ice will keep making after the basket is full and sometimes tries to keep sucking water after the reservoir is empty. It still makes ice just fine, I just have to keep watching it.

The ice basket is a bit small. Good fast machine. I had a newair previously, and the ice basket was larger, but the ice production slower 9 minutes for 9 sm cubes vs 6 minutes for 9 sm cubes from this machine. This countertop footprint is smaller than the other I had, but not by much. This one doesn't have the side drain either for automatic water filling. But the machine is fast, and registers full fast. Great product.

I am giving this 4 stars because I think the ice maker is great, have had it less than a week and have used it several times already. I bought this because my ice maker in my freezer died, and this was alot cheaper than a repair man. Just not has fast as described. Really can't seeing it making up to 26 lbs. of ice in a day, and so far has not made 1 drop of ice (10 cubes) in as little as 6 minutes. Had it going for 2 hours and made only 2 baskets full of ice, not even close to a pound. I think it will be good for making ice as need for drinks for parties and get togethers and will keep it for that. Was hoping to use it to fill the ice storage in my freezer and I don't think it will be good for that unless I make ice all day long.

This is a sharp looking unit. And it works!That being said, the unit I got has a long wide scratch across the clear see-thru lid pane. I am really bummed about that.Also, although it is still churning out ice like a champ, it appears to be getting louder. I hope that is not a trend that continues.Keep in mind, the first set of ice cubes are always pathetic. After that, all the ice cubes are great!

I received this a couple days ago. We purchased so we could make our own ice at our seasonal campsite. I think we'll be happy with it. Depending on the temperature of the day..........the water reservoir is below the ice tray. THUS not completely cooling the ice storage section. I'll have to wait and see. I am happy with the production of ice. No lie every 10 or so minutes you get 8 cubes, even faster when you have the small cube feature selected. You get what you pay for and myself and my wife are happy......we have unlimited cocktail ice this summer :-) Rock on!

Bags advertised as 10lb, box they came in also marked 10lb, but bags themselves are marked 8lb. Not a big issue for me, but just wanted to let buyers know if it is important to them.

They work great. It would be nice if you could tie the bag closed. If you lay a full bag on it's side some ice will spill out. That's OK minor problem. Keep using the same bags over and over. Testimont as to how strong they are.

I like these bags perfect for ice. The only thing I would change is make the bag thicker so you can reuse the bags.

These plastic ice bags work pretty well for our sonic ice. We love the drawstring to keep the ice from spilling but still easily accessible in our freezer. They are great for at home use. Be careful if you beat out ice clumps. The bags are fairly sturdy but will puncture from edges of large ice chunks as you try to loosen ice. I have double bagged on occasion.

These bags are great and work as intended. I purchased a portable ice maker and chose these bags over others due to the draw strings.I would have given these bags 5 stars, but didn't due to how easily the bags can rip from the top seams (where the drawstring opening is) if you're not careful while opening the bag. Knowing it can happen though, it's easy to avoid by opening the bag carefully to avoid this.

My dad liked these. They are think enough to withstand bouncing around in the cooler.

Does it's job

This is a small ice scoop just large enough for filling a glass or plastic tumbler with ice without losing ice cubes over the side. In that job it works perfectly. I was a little disappointed in the handle but after using the scoop for a day or two I realized the handle was perfect. I was expecting a solid handle such as one sees in restaurants but I keep the scoop inside with the ice. If the handle was any thicker, grabbing the handle would have been difficult on the skin. Since the handle is thin like the scoop itself, it heats easily by the warmth of one's hand and causes no problem. I'm happy with it.

Well it's a lovely scoop but I guess I was expecting it to be a bit more hefty and meaty. The scoop works fine for digging cat food out of the bin to put in the cat food bowl, but it wouldn't work really well for bashing in a burglar's head if he were to come barging in the door while I fed the cat. I guess that's not a really realistic scenario but, hey, you never know.

Not much to say about these ice makers. There must be a factory in China that spits these things out as a contract manufacturer as you see the exact same model under a dozen labels. The ice tray isn't that big and the rate of product is fine for a small family during the summer. It can't keep up for use at a party, think of it as an automated ice tray. I have had a few, they last 3 or 4 years. Cheap enough to replace but not a model of design or durability.

You have to be careful when replacing the ice tray or it will cover the "Ice Full sensor"andOK, It makes Ice... Good. But, this is the NOISEST icemaker I think I have been around.

The ice maker worked fine when it worked. Looks good too. Ice making was quick, and the device is easy to use. However, it broke after 8 months...longevity is an issue. I won't be buying this again.

Has to be reset fairly often. So far it has reset but I see from other reviews it may not last much longer. Product is exactly what we needed for a small business office to have ice throughout the day but it's a bit sporadic on producing ice.

Works good but just 1 day after recieveing the ice maker noticed the outer skin of the machine is peeling off. Can't believe that would happen with a new machine.

Works well but has very small capacity to hold both ice and water. I usually use it's entire production to fill up one large 28oz. cup.It does start production immediately when emptied and will be full again in less than an hour so it's production is adequate for a single user, or possibly two users willing to share its small capacity but not much more than that. Care must be taken to top up the water reservoir frequently or risk running out of ice for lack of water. If you only use small amounts of ice you will probably be happy with this unit.

Good size and it will work, but it's not what I was expecting. The handle is uncomfortable to hold because it's just a shaped piece of sheet metal with sharp-ish edges - that's the best I can describe it. I doubt we'll use it but I'm not returning this one, since it wasn't that expensive, but I wouldn't buy another one.

They're just stamped sheet metal. The handle has sharp edges. If they dipped the handles in plastic or beveled the sharp edges, it would improve this product.

This is a very lightweight scooper. The one I ordered failed the first day by the handled bending. I'm being told by Amzn item not eligible for return?????????? Is AMZN beginning to weaken their quality on the return policy.

It was meant to go in my freezer tray, but had to buy another to replace this. The quality was fair, not the stainless steel like you have in your imagination, very thin.

It's a scoop. It scoops just fine. But it's much lower quality—the material is thinner—than its pictures make it out to be. The handle is just pressed sheet metal, which is less comfortable to use than similarly-priced scoops you'd find at the grocery store.

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. It's ok, but not the best quality. I didn't look at the picture that closely (I was buy multiple items) and didn't realize the handle is not round. It's light weight and if you use it to break up your ice, you have the potential to actually cut yourself on the handle. I would recommend looking for a different one.

The top of the bags is fair quality so most of them teared when closing the draw string even with weight of the bag supported. I wouldn't buy again. I'd give 2 stars but I did 3 because the ice didn't rip through the sides, so it is okay.

Drawstrings sound nice, bag wont stay closed unless their tied shut.

WORK AS I THOUGHT

I really like that these bags are a bit smaller than regular ice bags and the drawstring is super nice. However, as nice as the size and drawstring are, I can't fully recommend them. They are way too thin and tear easily. I've babied these bags trying to get as much use out of them as I can, however, even with that sort of treatment they are tearing and falling apart. The first bag I used started ripping at the seam as soon as I started filling it. There is also a seam below the drawstring where all of them seem to want to fall apart as well. If the bags were thicker and more durable they would be a homerun, but unfortunately they fall short of perfect with the current thickness and construction.In short: If you are looking for smaller single-use bags these are sufficient and the drawstring is a really nice feature. If you want to reuse the bags you will want to look for a thicker bag, as these do not hold up well.

Its ok for the price

It's an ice scooper so you cant really go wrong EXCEPT we keep our ice scooper in the freezer and because the entire thing is metal the handle obviously freezes and can be a bit uncomfortable to use. This problem can EASILY be solved by not storing it in the freezer. Our other scoopers have rubber/plastic handles and keeping them in the freezer works just fine. So if you dont have people who misplace things so that you are "forced" to keep the ice scooper in the freezer near the ice then this is a fine purchase. If you want to keep in freezer i would find one with a rubber handle.

Much smaller and more flimsy then I expected. Maybe 9" x 3" is more imaginable for someone else, but for those like me who are less volumetrically inclined - it comfortably scoops enough ice for 80% of a small styrofoam cup. I say comfortably in the mathematical sense, actually wielding this thing is more like handling a garden trowel made of curved, cheap plastic. The handle really needs to be more like a rod, and less like a "U," and it really has no heft to it at all. Something you wouldn't think it'd need until you start digging into ice and realize just a little inertia would make a big difference.All in all, you get what you pay for, and if you're looking for a cheapie ice scoop for the office ice-maker, it'll work.

This scoop is a great value and seems strong and well made. If you need an economy scoop, this is great. I will be using it in the garden instead of the ice bucket however. I found the handle uncomfortable and not nice enough to use during a fancy party. Close examination of the photo should have suggested this to me for the hanging hole reveals the thickness of the handle, which is an open V shaped formed metal. I'll need another scoop for fancy parties, but this will be wonderful in the garden.

I bought this because it was one of the cheapest ice scoops on Amazon. It holds maybe four or five large ice cubes (made by my freezer's built-in ice maker), but as pointed out in another review, the back of the handle is not rounded, so the sides of the handle dig into your hand while you hold it. You also don't want to just leave this in your freezer, as it is metal and cool to the touch. So not only is it uncomfortable, but it is not convenient to leave it where you'd want it.I like the capacity, but the next time I buy a scoop, I'm getting plastic.

I purchased this item thinking it was a 6 oz scoop and I ordered another scoop that I thought was of similar quality that was a 4 oz scoop(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H0U8A0/ref=oh_details_o01_s02_i01). When I received both scoops I was surprised to see that they were exactly the same scoop, and I would not say either scoop was 6 or 4 oz, I think 5 oz is a better description.The build quality is fine for the price. The scoop and handle are stamped metal and tack welded together, they seem sturdy enough. I have no use experience, I sent them back since they were the wrong sizes for my needs.

Definitely not built to last. Considering this has an evaporative cooler like a refrigerator or air-conditioner, which are permanently sealed from the atmosphere with no possibility of leakage or contamination, this thing should last a very long time. However, the manufacturer seems to have used so many other cheep throw-a-way components (such as for the control mechanism) that this unit is likely to be taking up space in the land fill way ahead of it's time. Mine has not been shutting off when then ice basket is full since it was new, and more recently it only produced tiny little beads instead of ice cubes, hence useless.Hello Global Corporations - if you want to do the so called "sustainability" thing, built it to last!

Worked one year and two months and then DIED! Warranty just ran out! Go figure!

Very slow making ice. Must empty the bin into your freezer frequently but, the ice cubes are still wet. When they get into the freezer the freeze together into a large lump. We returned ours. We made much more ice faster using 6 old fashioned ice cube trays.

It was great until it stopped working after 9 months of use.

I bought this in September; it died in December. Says "ice full" when there is no ice in it. We're disappointed. At this price point, I expected it to last at least a year. To not even survive to the end of the year is unacceptable.

Worked for 3 1/2 months.Used it 3 or 4 times a week and it worked great.Now..... it only makes 2 cubes at a time.Too late to send back to Amazon and talking to Curtis International is useless. The people at their support could only speak broken ENGLISH. Being hearing impaired I could not understand him, nor could my wife. Was able to make out that we couldn't get a return number and must send it to Amazon which won't take it according to their return policy. It will make a nice mailbox,raise lid and have dry mail!

This is not a "nice" piece for use on a bar. It is a very utilitarian, cheaply made item. Mine arrived with several scratches, and if this is stainless steel all the way through, fine, but I have my doubts, considering how the scratches looked.If you just want something to move ice with, this is will do, but how long it will last is up to question.

Im only giving two stars because i purchased the 4oz stainless steel ice scoop with the Luma comfort IM200SS portable ice maker and the stainless steel ice scoop dont fit inside of the maker. I only gave 2$ for it as an add on so sending it back would be pointless. Just buyers be aware that it will not fit inside the machine. Other than that its a sturdy scoop. its not very thick in size but will get the job done for small scoops of ice. I just wish it had fit my machine. I would have rathered the stainless scoop as apose to the plastic that comes with the ice machine.

It's stainless steel from India - NOT the US - which is not even close to US stainless steel. Expected to have some weight to it but very light. It scoops ice but very flimsy.

The area where the handle attaches to the scoop had a small rust spot.It also appeared not attached well. I'm sure it would have come off at some point.

Cheap & thin scoop we will not be using it for ice but maybe for dry dog food.

First off, there was a sticker on the handle that took about 30 minutes to remove. I had to spend way too much time and effort rubbing the goo off with nail polish remover. That made me mad! Then, it's so poorly designed that when I use it in a huge bag of cat food, all of it falls off the scoop before I can get it out of the bag.I guess you get what you pay for and cheap is cheap.Don't waste your money.

Bought these to use for my daughter's wedding. It was much light weight than it appeared online. The handle is not solid so the edges are a bit "sharp". The size was fine and so was the scoop part. I decided to purchase different ones, mainly because of the handle.

I had entered a great review previously as I love these appliances. This is the 3rd I purchase. They tend to last a year or so and then have problems, but that's ok. HOWEVER, this last one, supposedly from RCA, did not even last TWO MONTHS!! It's unreal. I'm very careful with it, placed in a secure place where it cannot be damaged at all. Yet, from this morning to now at night, it just ceased working. Incredible! I had purchased a warranty which I have just submitted (just a week or two ago I had requested the warranty to keep with my paperwork...I sure hope the next one is at least as good as the previous ones. It's not worth it if it will only last a month or so...

Save your money. Worked for a couple of months and then stopped making ice. Customer Support appeared to be from India. Huge language barrier and wanted my charge card # to charge me just to look at it. To ship to Customer Support in US would cost nearly $50.00 plus fee just to look at it. Spend a little extra money so you won't have to go through what I did.

Purchase June, 2016 and now it's not working properly. I've used it 6 times before it started making loud noises. Now it's so bad that that we can no longer use it. As you can see from other reviews this product seems to have a very short shelf life. I would recommend finding another product as RCA ice maker is junk.

Unboxed, set it up, waited for 2 hours as recommended and within a few minutes we had ice! I used this for 2 straight nights and it works amazing. Funny thing is it became the talk of the party. Everyone enjoyed the fresh ice to cool off their drinks. This works wonderful and was worth every penny I paid for it.Update: It's been 2 months now and it still works like a champ. Our friends come over on weekends and this thing gets a work out with all the mixed drinks we're making. The ice tray is almost always full and everyone loves having fresh ice. I highly recommend buying one of these.Update 2: The machine flat out died. It gave an "Add Water" warning even though the machine was full of water. I cleaned it out but nothing. It would cycle, pretend to make ice and then error out again. Here's where I got mad. It was still under the 90 Igloo warranty so I called them.Igloo informed me that even though it has their name on it, they don't make it and they would not honor the warranty. Click, they hung up on me. So,Igloo just lost me as a customer for life and I plan on making it know to everyone how horrible their customer support is.Thankfully, I purchased the extended warranty through canopy and they were really awesome. They e-mailed me a shipping label within minutes for a full refund. So, lesson learned, never trust Igloo but by the extended warranty.

piece of crap...I bought it on 9/5/15 and in December, not even 3 months later it was having problem. First it started making micro ice, that is what I call it, where it is super tiny and melts very fast. Then in January 2016, it started reading as Ice Full, all the time. I would open and close the lid and it would work for a while.Then it completely decided not to work. So on 2/3/16 I called Curtis, because it was still under warranty period, and the extended warranty I had bought told me to do it this way. They told me to reset the ice maker. I did. It was a pain.It did start to make really tiny ice,even smaller than before, but the ice full light was always on and I had to empty tray each time it made ice for it to make a new batch.On 2/5/16 it totally died... nothing. so i went to drain it, and the stopper on the bottom broke off in the unit causing water to shoot all over the counter tops... yay!... and once emptied it was left to dry.On 2/8/16, today, I called Curtis, to let them know, the reset didn't work. I called at 9:10am, Sam hung up on me. I called at 9:12 am, Paul hung up on me. I called at 9:17 and finally Daisy, did not hang up on me. She was very nice, but I am still not happy with the way they go about their repair process:I had to pay $7, right then, for their insurance, for after the repair to ship it back to me.I have to pack it in a safe box, and pay to ship it back to them. Included all this info, plus sales receipt. Describe the issues in detail with all the previous calls and issues also in detail.After all that, they will repair it and ship it back to me.I will update after I get the unit back.*** UPDATE****2-8-16... so I just found out it will cost me $65 to ship it back... I can't believe a company can get away with this kind of customer service.I am so disgusted with Curtis International ltd. I am shipping it back and will update again when i get it back.****UPDATE****11-2-16Update********************************So after I paid the $7 insurance, the $65 to ship it, Curtis Int. did ship me a total brand new one. It was an Igloo same design, same color, same buttons, same Issues, Just with Igloo instead of RCA... It lasted 2 months and totally died.I had to wait till Sept 2016 to use my extended Warrenty.They didn't even want this turd back.They told me don't bother shipping it back and they just refunded me my purchase price, not shipping on an Amazon Gift Card.So to sum it up. This Ice Maker is crap. Save your MONEY, and just buy the bags of ICE.This unit costed me $127 the first time, $8.99 Assurion Extended Warrenty, after it died (RCA) $7 insurance to Curtis International, $ 65 to USPS to ship it back to get repaired, they just replaced it... and a grand total of $207.99 and I am right back to buying bags of ICE...Save your $$$$$, RCA and the Replacement IGLOO, both are crap and both died.HOpe this helps.

Worked about a week right then all it made was one huge piece of ice you would have to wait for it to melt to try again. Returned it!

too thin

Out of the 15 bags that we have used so far 4-5 of them are missing the drawstring and a couple are missing the metal clasps. I've contacted the seller.

Bought the bags, filled with ice, put in freezer and when I took them out of freezer and tapped onfloor to loosen ice, just about every bag broke with a single tap - used 5 of them and the rest are now going to be fancy garbage bags as that is about all they are worth...

Don't buy this with the Ice Maker- It's to big to work well and get into the portable ice makers.The ice makers come with a nice small, plastic scoop that works just fine! It has sharp edges and is made poorly. The overall construction is not well made and really no good for something like a cocktail party.

These are made out of thin metal with seams, baffles and very sharp edges. The handle is an upside down V shape with sharp edges. I cut myself on the handle edge opening the plastic wrap. These cannot safely be used in my kitchen, especially by my children.

Very poor quality. Made of thin, cheap-feeling stamped metal. Not worth $4.50, that's for sure. Maybe if I had been able to try it first I would have been willing to pay a dollar for it. Not $4.50! Pass on this!

This thing is garbage. It's cheaply made, the handle is sharp and the scoop is shallow. It cannot scoop ice let alone anything else. I wouldn't even use this for scooping up the dog crap in the backyard. It's that bad. Worse, you cannot return it on Amazon so I literally threw $$ into a black hole.

This one sucked. It's think not really a scoop per-se is too flatHandle is think and SHARP. I would not want to use this with children or someone with a strong grip it. Mine was sharp and would easily cut the hand

I made the mistake of reading several of the more recent reviews first - most of which highly rate this scoop - when I decided to order it. The older reviews are in my opinion more accurate. Upon its arrival, I was both surprised and disappointed to discover firsthand how thin the steel is, and in particular, the uncomfortable, flimsy and potentially dangerous manner in which the handle is constructed. It's rather sharp bent sheet metal, and gripping it is both awkward and and uncomfortable to the point that it is almost painful when cold. A fully rounded or solid handle would be far safer and more effective. While I'll keep the scoop for light duty dry goods, this item will not be returning to my ice bin. If you need a stainless scoop for ice, look elsewhere.

It's very shallow and doesn't hold much ice/product in the scoop. I'll see how it holds up. It's very light and doesn't seem sturdy.

Very flat scoop...not good for picking up ice...that's for sure.

The scoop size is good and the finish is bright but the handle quality and attachment is less than desirable. Be careful of the unfinished edges on the stamped out handle.

The handle on this scoop is very uncomfortable with an open bottom, not rounded, and edges somewhat sharp. Also, the scoop itself is shallow and only holds a few cubes. It might work for some but not for me.

Bought two of these for my farmers market business, and the first one broke after scooping granola out of a bucket! The handle is screwed on to the scoop, so it's not all one piece which I didn't realize from the picture, which probably contributes to the instability. Returned and will not buy again.
