Large griddle for a good price
June 21, 2016
I hate cooking breakfast in skillets, so I've been aching to buy a griddle for some time. After doing some research, I settled on this one and am glad I did! Other reviewers have summed up the features, but I particularly find that it has a large surface, even cooking, consistent temperatures and low ridges on the side that make working on the prep surface extremely easy. Some people have complained that it is hard to find room to store this griddle, but I discovered that if you tip it on its side against the side of your cabinet (with the legs pointing towards the wall) it stays up and takes up almost no space. I haven't run into anything I would consider a con after using it several times a week for the last 4 months. So go ahead and buy it, you won't regret it!
Overall very happy with this griddle
May 30, 2016
This griddle has been great so far. It stores fairly easily. Cleaning it is no problem at all. It fires up quickly. It distributes the heat evenly around the surface. It makes great pancakes and quesadillas for sure! We were worried a bit when it arrived because of the textured surface , but it has been no issue. My only minor complaint, as if with every electric griddle I have had, is the drip tray - it likes to slide off too quickly. You would think they could put a little latch there or something. But overall, very happy.
Amazingly GREAT!!!!
January 22, 2016
I simply love it! Can cook my whole breakfast menu on it; bacon turned out amazingly perfect, didn't curl, it was steady thorough heat n never got bacon results like this with my fry pans, pancakes perfect as were eggs n hash browns......I KNOW what I'll be giving our daughters for Chriistmas this coming Dec.
Love it! Great addition to my kitchen collection
December 18, 2014
Love it way more than I thought I would! A griddle has always been on my kitchen wish list albeit rather low. That said, we're spending the holidays in a suite where we won't have a stovetop to make eggs for the kids breakfast in the morning, so we went ahead and ordered it. In our pre-Christmas trials (because I'm like a giddy school girl with new kitchen stuff) I made pancakes, eggs and even fried bacon. This thing is awesome. The heat is extremely even and it's level, which is a huge improvement over my frying pan. I made 8 pancakes at a time, cutting my cooking time by more than half. The hole for grease drippings is smart, and can easily be blocked with a piece if food if you prefer to cook with some fat. The non-stick feature works nicely.Overall a big win for my kitchen collection. This thing will stay busy for me long past the holidays!
Great Griddle!
April 3, 2014
I had been wanting an electric griddle for a while. We recently moved and in the course of packing, I decided to let loose of my 35-year-old stove top griddle that really was a bit of a mess and slightly warped. I saw the reviews on this Presto griddle and decided to try it. I have only made French toast and fried an omelet on it, but it worked really well. There's so much more room to cook than on my old griddle. It will be nice to have at Christmas time when the kids are here for breakfast. And, unlike some other reviewers said, it did fit in the lower cabinets of my kitchen. They are 25" deep, which seems like a standard size, so I don't understand why some people had trouble with this. I wonder if they were reviewing the larger griddle. Anyway, I love it and highly recommend it.
More bang for your buck
June 1, 2007
I bought this griddle to replace a well-worn older one. This one is great. It's much bigger than most of the ones I've seen, but is not heavy or cumbersome. The handles do stay cool and the temp control is easy and out of the way. We hand wash it and the surface is as good as new after several months of at least weekly (sometimes almost daily) use. We make pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, chicken, steak, and grilled cheese sandwiches on it. I always use a nonstick spray with it, and it is ten seconds with soapy water to clean it. I did put the drip tray in the dishwasher on the bottom shelf and it melted, so DON'T DO THAT! :)

Perfect for hot-fix/crafts. Probably great for food too.
May 16, 2017
So I got this not to use for food prep but to heat hot-fix rhinestones for decorating figure skating competition dresses. it is FABULOUS for this purpose. Perfect size. Easy to control temp. Made the process soooooo much faster than the normal tool for hot-fix.I won't use it for food because it is used for crafts that aren't compatible with edible purposes. BUT I would think this would be great for a singleton/light eating couple for food prep. Or to use where you don't have a stove and want to be able to make eggs, etc. It is certainly small and light enough to throw in a suitcase anyway.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
May 14, 2017
I just received this griddle yesterday. It is amazing and the perfect size for my small kitchen counter space. I just made Maine Wild Blueberry Pancakes on it, and they came out perfectly the first time. I haven't had a griddle in years because I didn't realize they made a smaller size. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!Thank you everyone for your rave reviews on this darling little griddle, it made my decision easy!Soooooo HAPPY!
Too many advantages to list
January 1, 2017
I never write reviews, but this has to be an exception. I used it for the first time yesterday. I've been making my pancakes in a little skillet. This time they were in perfect shape, perfectly cooked - ultimately absolutely perfect. This was all due to the fact that I had control of the temp. It comes with a little chart for what to cook different types of foods, what temps, and how long. I think this means even I can't mess up what I'm cooking. The best advantages - I'm single and it's the right portions for me and my place has no storage so I was easily able to find a home for this really versatile tool. I think I'm going to love this for a long time to come!
& it is very easy to clean
May 18, 2015
I researched electric griddles & the Liddle Griddle consistently lead all others in quality We use it primarily to make pancakes, which emerge perfectly from the griddle, & it is very easy to clean, just wash it with soap & water in the kitchen sink. A negative is that it is "Little," meaning that we can't cook more than 4 medium size pancakes at one time. As long as the amount that can be cooked at one time is known in advance, then there should not be a problem. Have yet to try other foods, such as griddling a steak, but for pancakes & fried eggs, it is a very good buy.
Quick controlled griddle with grease bin can handle 4 pancakes (or equivalent) at once - No problems with delivery
November 30, 2014
This griddle comes with the handles detached, and instructions indicate that occasional tightening of the attachment screws might be necessary, though I personally have not had any issues with this yet. There is a grease groove on one side, which is helpful for cleaning purposes. The thermostat has a "warm" setting, as well as an "off" setting, and the highest marked temperature on the dial is 400 degrees Fahrenheit. If you examine the underside of the griddle, there is a square loop of heating element, which I believe helps to distribute the heat evenly over the 8.5 in x 10.5 in cooking surface. The small size allows the griddle to heat up quickly, and it's possible to have four 4-inch pancakes cooking simultaneously (or 2 eggs and 2 pancakes and possibly a few strips of ham or bacon). You can store the griddle with or without the handles attached.I think it works well for a single person or couple.
Love this Liddle Griddle
January 29, 2013
I purchased this as a replacement for a small electric frypan that had been dropped one time too many. I used the frypan mostly for grilled cheese sandwiches but could only cook one at a time. This griddle will accomodate 2-4 depending upon the size of the bread slices used. This griddle cooks extremely evenly which was a problem with the small frypan since I had to turn the sandwich 180 degrees in order to get it evenly browned. That is definitely not required with this. I have probably used this 3 or 4 days each week since I received it.One minor complaint: I understand the reasoning behind the short cords supplied with electric countertop appliances but this one could have been 6-12 inches longer. The solution of course is to put the control on the side away from you to get it closer to the outlet. That should only be a problem if you are OCD.I am extremely please with this purchase and would stronly recommend this small griddle to singles or couples who generally have no need for a large griddle. It is small, lightweight and very easy to clean and store.

I'm sure this a great grill but it was to big.
Nice griddle for the money...
February 8, 2016
Ive only used the griddle 3-4 times but so far, so good. Its not as large as I was expecting but thats not a big deal Build quality is fairly solid which is nice at this price point. The cooking surface has been very non-stick & smooth thus far with pamcakes, french toast and some eggs. Its still pretty new so we will see how this wears over time but Im very pleased so far. The heating uniformity has been just about perfect. I purposely cooked pancakes on different sections of the griddle to test the heating uniformity out and it passed the tests. I didnt use a thermometer to verify temps but I suspect they are within a reasonably close range to what you ask for. Pancakes and French Toast cook quickly and perfectly at about 350 degrees. The unit takes a good 5-7 minutes to warm up completely.Cleanup is pretty easy too - just keep the metal connector portion dry. Then, use warm water and some dish soap & a sponge. Nothing to it. I have not cooked any bacon on it yet so I cant vouch for the drip tray but it looks to be decent sized and should do its job. Overall, this is a nice griddle and well worth the asking price. Time will tell how it lasts though. Ive owned other griddles that started off great but didnt last that long so we shall see. I can recommend this griddle though- seems to be a good unit.

Works great for a $40 pancake griddle (all I use it for). Heats a little unevenly, warmer near the controller. Just start the pancakes at the end opposite the controller and they will be fine.
But worth the $ if it will last - it seems very light and "seems" like it could easily break
March 16, 2015
We've only used it twice - works well so far. Haven't put it under any big loads of say several pancakes or dozens of eggs. Still not sure heat is even across entire area, which is quite large. But worth the $ if it will last - it seems very light and "seems" like it could easily break. However, we won't be throwing it around, so other than accident happening it should be fine.
A good value for the money.
November 15, 2013
The Presto Jumbo griddle does what it is supposed to do, and that's the quickest review ever! It heats up quickly and handles everything from pancakes to sausage and eggs with ease. Clean-up is easy with the non-stick surface, although it can be a bit tricky maneuvering the large griddle in a sink of soapy water. My only reason for 4 stars? I own a smaller Presto griddle I got back in the mid-eighties and only within the past few years has the non-stick surface started to show signs of wear. It remains to be seen if this griddle will hold up as well.
Pretty good
July 9, 2013
Item arrived quickly and was as described. We are hard on these griddles as we have 4 kids and make lots of pancakes. Ideally these griddles are uniform in their heating but most have hot and not so hot spots. This one does have hot spots directly under the heating elements but is pretty good. Probably have to spend more money to get more uniform heating, but it's good for the price. Cleanup is easy and it heats up fairly quickly. Good bang for the buck.

handy little griddle!
December 31, 2016
This is a great little griddle. It is what you would expect in a griddle. The only thing I would change is the height of the edge around the griddle. When I saute onions or peppers I lose a few off the edge. Great for cooks who don't need a large griddle or don't have the space for one.

Griddle works great, I was just bummed that one handle was missing (the product was fully sealed)I contacted the manufacturer and received a new handle within days.
Good product
January 9, 2016
This works great for me, at home and in the camper. Since I'm only cooking for myself, its a good size. The only drawback is how dangerously close you have to be to combustibles to have this plugged in, and the probe could have been put in the side or rear, rather than being in the way while in use.
Nice, but they aren't kidding when they say "liddle
December 30, 2014
Nice, but they aren't kidding when they say "liddle." It's ok for a single person, or apartment, but not for a family meal. Also, the price is on the high side....we actually purchased a full size griddle at the store for $5 cheaper.
Handy to have!
May 9, 2014
I ordered this because it is small, handy to use, and easy to clean. What more could I ask for? I have had it now for quite a while and I use it often for many different things. One of the best things about it for us is that it is small and good for a just two people which we are.
Very pleased
November 12, 2013
Been using a normal frying pan for so long, but finally got tired of making eggs, and bacon on them. So I bought a Presto Griddle. Glad I did. So many to choose from, so I went with the first good review found here on Amazon. The cost was very reasonable, and other product reviews, though good, I selected this one over the others simply because it was one of the better ones close to the top of amazons list. No other reason . Used it just a few times now since purchased, but can say it makes cooking breakfast a bit better. Easy to clean up as well. Long term review later, but thus far I give it a thumbs up.

It's like it has two temps
September 23, 2016
This griddle works OK, I guess, but it heats quite unevenly. Near the plug end its much hotter than at the far end. You can see how much darker one side is than the other. Also, I have to crank the heat all the way up to high. It's like it has two temps: high or low.

April 26, 2015
This griddle does provide a large cooking surface, but what I found is that the surface in the front center isn't as warm as the rest of the griddle. It isn't cold at all, just slight less hot. That's ok for me as it's just my wife and I so I still have a lot of cooking surface to work with.
Frame breaks easily
December 27, 2014
This came and worked fine and I have made quite a few good meals on it. However even though I tried to be very careful with it - the frame (that is plastic which the legs are a part of) ending up cracking. It still works but it is broken. I am past the 30 day return window so that is rather disappointing.
There's Probably A Better One
September 2, 2014
I bought this July 2013 and today is 09-02-2014 and the coating that makes it stick proof is coming off and part of the griddle no longer gets hot, so I'm using the other half of it for now. Naturally, it's just over a year old, so it's out of warranty. I guess that's why they give you a one-year warranty. They figure it will last for one year?
Just OK
August 22, 2014
I've had Presto Griddles for years. Last one finish came off after year or so so out it went. The side draining arms wouldn't stay shut after 6 months or so and it wasn't my first choice for a replacement. Looked at all models and selected this one. Not as large as former one but biggest complaint is you have to put towel under it so it doesn't slide all over the place on my counter top. Grease draining container is flimsy compared to other model. Griddle does the trick but it just ok.
Works but needs improvements
December 13, 2012
Personally, don't like the fact that it is tilted. Eggs, oil, and other things run to the front and down into the grease slot. Biggest disappointment is that the removable grease drawer upper sides bow inward so the drawer falls down! I had to make an expandable wedge to insert in the drawer to hold the sides straight. The ends of the cooking surface get hotter than the center. Have used for over 2 years but will replace with a different model.

I don't like this griddle.
December 15, 2016
This is much smaller than I thought and would only be adequate for 1 person. I prefer one with a grease tray that can be removed and emptied, this one doesn't have one the grease just goes to the side in a place dropped down and when I was trying to cook hashbrowns, the grease kept rolling off onto the counter. I had to put something under the legs to keep this from happening. As far as cooking goes it gets plenty hot and if you don't mind the aggravation you may want it. I will be buying a new one that is larger and has a grease tray you can remove. I believe it is made at an angle so the oil will run to the side and that is what is causing me to have problems. I really can't recommend this when you can get a bigger, better one for just a few dollars more.

December 7, 2016
I bought this for the 2 of us for pancakes or hash browns based on user reviews but it just looked too small for us and I lost money shipping it back. If I'm gonna go through the process of making pancakes we want more than 2 a piece.
I like it ok
March 22, 2016
I like it ok, the only problem I have with it is that it heats unevenly. The stuff gets cooked on one side of the grill before the other side. Otherwise, it heats up quickly and does a good job.
Doesn't stick, cooks well, wish it was flat.
November 10, 2015
Wish it had a flat surface. It cooks well and absolutely doesn't stick but I end up pushing food off into the gutter and can't easily retrieve it. You don't need to use a lot of oil to cook on it, so I don't understand the purpose of the grease gutter.
Third Rate Chinese
September 1, 2015
Heats up quickly but temp not too accurate. I use only plastic tools on this so I can only assume the nonstick coating is getting washed off. That can be the only reason it's getting so thin. I've only had it a short time and it looks years old. I have other PRESTO products 10.15 and 20 years old that have and still look and perform great. This one is a disappointment. I guess I bought the others before the onslaught of low rate Chinese garbage. Not up to PRESTO's former standards.
Right Size
November 23, 2012
Fits a small area and meets the needs for smaller portions. Works good. Problem is the handles do not withstand the trip to the floor. Like when it's dropped. The balance of the unit survives well but without the handle it is difficult to use. Mfg should consider a rugged handle made from a composite not the least expensive material they can find.

The griddle is not thick or heavy and not really all that jumbo...
August 6, 2016
I was expecting more. The griddle is not thick or heavy. This is a very lightweight and flimsy griddle and as a result it does not cook evenly. I just finished cooking pancakes at 375 and you can clearly see on the resulting pancakes where the underlying heating element was. The portion of the pancakes over the heating element are 'well-done' while the areas away from the heating element remain a bit undercooked. If you were expecting the heavy duty griddle your mother used to own, you should keep looking. Also, the 'jumbo' size is far from impressive. You can cook eight pancakes if you keep them small, but six is a more natural fit.
BAD DESIGN
January 1, 2016
I bought this griddle mainly for cooking bacon, which is part of our family's Saturday morning breakfast tradition. I gave it 2 stars, because it does get hot and cooks stuff as advertised. But there are many problems with the design, as I found out this morning while using it for the 1st time:--There is no "gutter" around the perimeter, nor are there elevated walls on the back & sides like other models. So if your griddle is barely out of level, the bacon grease (or whatever) will begin to spill over the back and sides--The drip tray slides into the front, but it is very loose and literally falls out (toward you) at the slightest movement of the griddle. When I finished cooking bacon, I had to move the entire unit over to the sink to drain the grease and clean it. I had to lean the whole griddle backwards, so the grease tray wouldn't fall out and burn me! But guess what? Since there's no elevated walls on the back, the bacon grease began spilling over the backside. What a mess.--The grease or liquids fall into the drip tray via a small hole in the front of the griddle surface. But this hole is positioned about 1/2" inward from the front edge. So no matter what you do, you can never coax the grease/liquids fully into the tray without manually using a spatula or something.--The heating element is a rectangular shape, which leads to an uneven cooking surface. It's clear that Presto failed to test this product. Not recommended, unless you are strictly using it for things like pancakes or French toast, or foods that don't have grease or liquids involved.

Another dud
April 20, 2014
The good: this griddle heats quickly and evenly and had zero break-in smell or trouble. The non-stick surface is fantastic. The bad: the surface is warped just enough so pancake batter poured on the far left and right sides will run to center, making one conjoined pancake. This happens with crepe batter and thicker pancake batter. To make more than one oblong pancake, it was necessary to pour, lift the hot griddle up and rotate it like a gyroscope to ensure round pancake, then pour a second one. We had this same problem with another Presto griddle.

May 9, 2017

Pro: Nice size; Cons: Runs hot, significant hot spot
April 24, 2015
I like the size. I like the ease of cleaning. My sole issue with it that it runs hot - bacon sizzles on the 'Warm' setting. I have a larger Presto griddle with the same heating element and using it produced the same heat level. It's not inconvenient enough to return the product but it does mean you have to experiment on cooking temperatures, even if you have other griddles.Edit: I dropped my review from 4 stars to 2 stars. The hot spot on the griddle is significant and combined with the high heat factor, I'm either burning half the bacon or slow cooking it all into jerky. The size of the griddle is the only thing that makes this worth keeping.
After light use, the thermostat no longer works
January 15, 2013
I have had the Liddle Griddle for about 2 and 1/2 years and used it only about 20 times. I liked it at first, but after about 10 uses, the thermostat no longer worked properly and the griddle would seriously overheat in a matter of a few minutes. Since the year warranty had already expired, I could not return it. I never exposed the electrical parts to water, so that is not the cause. I like the size for just one or two people and it is easy to clean because of its small size. I have had an electric skillet and a large electric griddle and neither have ever overheated after years of use. I am reluctant to try my luck again on another Liddle Griddle.

Small and Dangerous
July 12, 2015
Why is 'Jumbo' even in the title? This is much smaller the "Big Tilt N' Drain" griddle from the same manufacturer. Also, the legs on the griddle we received lacked any rubber grips, causing it to slide on the counter while using it. Your first instinct is to grab the sliding object to prevent it from sliding, which is what we did, and we still have the scar to prove it. The burn sucked, this griddle sucked, and we returned it.

January 11, 2016
The plug for the griddle does not fit tightly into the griddle so the griddle turns off while you are cooking, requiring constant fiddling to keep it turned on.
Does not come ready for out of the box use.... Some assembly required.
June 22, 2015
The screws for the handle are already screwed in place without the handles attached! I cannot get one of the screw out to attach the second handle. So now I can't even use the device. This was a waste of time and money.
Too small
April 18, 2015
Too small. It has a picture of 2 fried eggs and 4 slices of bacon on the box cover. But I don't think those will even fit. I even looked at the measurements before purchasing. I'm returning it for a bigger one. It is tiny and very cute for 1 person, but not for 2.
El Cheapo
October 10, 2014
Device works good, but the penny-resenting mentality of the manufacturer causes all the problems. The handles break off of this if you even look at it funny. And they milked every dime out of the productions costs. One screw holds each set of legs in place (not adequate). The legs have no rubber-footings, so it slides all over like Bode Miller... insuring that his will slide off your counter, OR wherever you store it and break the handles off.
