Side by Side Comparison of: Zeny vs Kendal

My wife an I have been using this for a bit now between once and twice a week. It really is a great machine. It has reduced a sun spot on my face and most importantly has kept my skin from being super dry and flaky in these dry winter months. It's also greatly reduced the number of blackheads on my nose (I've also been using one of those black removal tools that are basically just stainless steel loops and hooks.) The tools seem to be of decent quality and the machine seems well built. FYI if you use a Discover card or AMEX you will get an extra year warranty.

Excellent purchase. I have owned this substantial machine for about a week. I have done everyone's face (4 people in the home). I have also done a few arms, chest, neck, back, and legs. My husband who is a skeptic of every gadget I buy was the last to let me do his face, but after the first couple of passes of the wand on his forehead, he was on board and very complimentary. His words were that "this is a real grade machine, not something you expect to find in a home." I agree, this isn't a wimpy toy. You will see results. We already have. Dark spots from acne scars and age spots have slightly faded from just our initial use. I can't wait to see what week 4 results yield!! I can see how this treatment is highly beneficial for anyone who has stubborn dry skin (my daughter has keratosis pilaris) or an ingrown hair issue (i.e. men who shave) because it lifts the dead skin up and sucks it away enabling healthy hair growth through fresh skin. When I treated my husbands neck area and the wand went over the spots where he had problem ingrowns - the stubborn hairs would willing pop-up. He instantly got relief from a few that had been bothering him for a while with just the one treatment. For my daughter's arms she immediately felt fresh, less bumpy skin, and had a big smile! I may buy her one of her own Zeny Pro machines when she heads off to college so she can keep her maintenance treatments up. I do not regret this purchase!

I was impressed by this machine. Larger than expected with excellent suction! (Remember to place the tip on your face to see the vacuum meter register!). Tips appear to be professional quality. Super easy to use. Delighted that I can now do the dermabrasion at home.

There are no cleaning brushes included or instructions on just how to clean them, but I was able to find information on line. There is also a Youtube video.

I bought this machine after a few weeks of researching, and reviewing, and reading, ugh.
I had pretty much decided on the Kendal SF01 machine before I stumbled upon this one. They look exactly the same. I really think they are the same and for almost $100 less, this one is awesome!

The box of wands, tips, and filters looks exactly like the one titled "Signstek Diamond Microdermabrasion Skin Care Accessories Set with 9 Stainless Steel Tips + 3 Wands + 30PCs Cotton Filters" from Signstek. The only difference is that the one I got does not have writing on the inside cover. Mine also came with some rubber rings and fuses.

Here's the only differences I could find between this Zeny and the Kendal:
1) This one has many less little filters included (and these things are cheap to buy)
2) This one has three wands instead of two,
3) This one does not come with an oil filter thing (these are also cheap to buy, but I honestly don't know why you need one)

The vacuum is so strong (if you want it to be) and luckily you can adjust it with the dial. It is a basic machine with no frills, which is really what I wanted (less to break!). If you are looking to buy your first home microdermabrasion machine, you really should consider this one. But I am so bummed I cannot use this on my awful cracked heels - but that is not a deficiency in this machine. It ends up the skin has to be pliable enough to get sucked up into the wand some in order for it to work.

I'm including pictures of the user manual because so many reviews I read (of other machines) said they did not come with anything. I am also including pictures of the box that contains the wands and tips. A couple of notes: Yes, I already spilled something on the user manual! And, no, there was not a wand missing, it is on the machine.

I also wanted to point out something: when I researching machines, some reviewers said that when they turned theirs on (this is all sorts of different machines, not necessarily this one), that nothing happened with respect to the vacuum - as it did not turn on. Well, you have to have it in contact with the skin before it will actually suck - every part of the tip has to be making contact. If you have it up against the skin and there is no vacuum, then you do not have good contact. You will need to change the tip. Most likely you are using too large of a tip for the area you are trying to treat.

Super easy to use. Leaves my skin so so smooth. It is definitely worth buying your own machine versus going to the salon and spending the same amount. The machine itself I was expecting to be a tad bit smaller... It is kinda bulky and I really have no place to put it but so worth it because this machine does an amazing job resurfacing my skin..

This is a professional grade machine that works perfectly.

I LOVE this machine. Let me just say that after reading reviews I was so nervous whether the suction would be strong enough but decided to give it a try anyway. This machine arrived unused and in perfect condition and was packaged well. The suction is incredible! For those who say it does not have strong enough suction, they may either be made of reptile skin or they do not have a good connection between the skin and the diamond heads, or maybe they did not screw the diamond head all the way on the handle. This at home microdermabrasion machine definitely will have enough suction for everyone. The claim of "professional" in the description of this product is on point! There is nothing amateur about this machine. I would suggest if you have never done microdermabrasion before or have not done it yourself to watch a youtube video of people showing you how to use one. There are so many helpful tutorials on youtube.

This machine has saved my face by the way. I am 32 and have always had perfect normal skin without any sensitivities. Suddenly 3 months ago I started breaking out for no reason! No stress, no change in diet or exercise. I was sensitive to everything and had seriously bad acne on my chin. I was getting a new zit or pimple on my chin every day, sometimes 2 every day. I would just wake up and suddenly have 2 very unwelcome solicitors on my chin in the morning. Not only this but my chin was covered in acne scars. I tried washing my face twice a day, salicylic acid treatments, apricot facial scrubs, clay masks, everything and the only thing that worked was the incorporation of using this machine twice a week, washing my face at night, and a natural acne oil from Forces of Nature in morning and night.

I spent hours of research on at home microdermabrasion machines. Let me save you the homework and tell you to just buy this machine. It is fantastic and I can't see my life without it.

Have had the machine for over a month and used as directed. It has smoothed my skin and with the application of other products lightened some dark spots. Excellent and worth the money that I saved by having a machine at home.

The front glass shattered on its own during the opearion after three months of usage but the merchant replaced the machine and it now works as it is supposed to..

Good product except the hand piece feels a little cheap. I use a professional grade at work and the hand piece should be a little more solid, this one feels like a light plastic. But- The suction is great and the tips are also pretty decent. Works just as good as the one we have a work. I was amazed at what the filter looked like after doing my own treatment... but I haven't had a microderm in a while. If you're looking for a personal use machine, this is a great option. Stay on the mid range setting though, I've been professionally trained in microderm and even with the skin held taut the suction can be quite powerful, work your way up to the higher settings once you get used to it.

I used to have microdermabrasion treatments at a school that trained people to do hair, skin, and nails. I was very impressed with the results. They used the machine with crystals. I don't have time to go any more so got this machine. I have done two treatments on the middle setting. Results have not been astounding, but it beats leaving the house during my precious off-time.

A recent trip to the spa set me back $125 for a facial (prior to tipping). I wanted to replicate the same clean, fresh, exfoliated feeling without the recurring cost. As such, I started exploring at home options and stumbled upon this product. I researched 10 or so options that were best selling with high reviews (both on Amazon and elsewhere) and decided upon the Zeny.

I've now used it twice, with treatment two weeks apart from one another. I love that there are different size heads to work on big sections and hone in on areas that might need a little more TLC with the smaller heads.

One thing to note is that the directions were not intuitive or very useful but the good news is that the product is simple enough to figure it out on your own or find a quick YouTube video for troubleshooting.

Skin feels great after using. Definitely reduced pore size. A bit clunky.

I haven't been diligent in my usage but hope to start and soon. Suction power is pretty awesome!

Honestly not a bad product. Not as good as professional but works well enough for the price. Tips are not the best quality but again for the price not bad. Very light but large footprint. If this is the only thing in your price range go for it but if you can afford to spend more it might be worth it.

Great item but the tube came bent

I think this is a bit gimmicky but still think there is logic behind the course tips removing dead skins cells and the generation of new ones. I do have smooth skin afterwards. However, be careful when replacing the base (larger) filter. I tightened a bit too much and when trying to remove, actually loosed the base socket which was attached to an internal hose. I had to take a part and reattach the internal hose and this time reinforcing with electrical ties. The machine is VERY large for what is actually inside...a majority of the bulk is just a plastic covering. Storage alone for this machine is a bit troublesome. May want to look into something smaller...pretty sure they will work just a well.

great suction power, very much true to a real office experience. my only negative thoughts are that the diamond tips seem they will wear out quickly , you can seem them dull up quickly. Despite good care/ sanitization and cleaning .
Must be experienced and veryy careful when using this, as it can lead to skin bruises/ superficial abrasions etc if you dont know whatyour doing.
I do a veryy light microderm before a light chemical peel on myself every so often , and its quite amazing!

Im having trouble figuring out if this is working well or not. My old machine, I could easily tell through the filter that it was working. Not so much with this.

I'm sure this is a good machine, but I found it pulled my skin too much, even at lower settings. I'm sure if you perfect the technique your skin would not pull os much, but I don't have that much time to dedicate to it, and the last thing I want to do is stretch my aging skin on a weekly basis. Also I had some breakouts after using it, so I returned it. I've had better and quicker results using high grade microdermabrasion crystals, and blending them into my cleanser, much gentler approach and good for people short on time.

Very LARGE, so it's a pain to store away and too ugly to leave on counter. I've done it on my hands and noticed a improvement . Next is my face . We'll see how it goes

Purchased this item and it arrived at my front door in less than a week! it was very easy to assemble and clean. I used it right away and quickly learned that I need to practice! My face looked ridiculous after words. I looked like a cat attacked my face and it remained like that, plus red, inflamed and swollen, for about a week. But once it subsided my skin did look brighter and smoother. I will watch more youtube videos and will try again in a few days. Hoping to do a better job the next time!

I think it works like it should,there's no directions and even tho I'm a licensed professional in the industry, there should be a manual,at least.GOOD LUCK,and I recommend if you are not licensed to AT LEAST utube it.or you could RISK SERIoUS damage.

Suction is not strong compared to the microderm system that was in the med-spa Where I previously worked, however for a home system and someone without another professional system to compare it against the suction would be considered strong and actually works but you have to move the wand very slowly across your face to achieve a good exfoliation, but the wands are terrible. Where I worked, we used the diamondtone Altair system. I actually ended up splurging on a wand from the Altair system and currently use it with this system.

With the wand from a different system, and weekly to a week and half exfoliations I can definitely see a difference in my acne, my sun spots, and the overall general appearance of my skin. It is smoother and has a nice healthy glow. I do also use a beauty control acid pad and obagi products to help with the sun spots. So for a home system (with a better wand) this gets the job done for a decent price considering this price would only buy you a few microderms at a med-spa.

I've had this for a couple of months and I admit I don't change the filters regularly and I haven't had any issues, yet, knock on wood. :)

Very bulky and takes too much space. Good auction power so use with caution, otherwise you will ended having bruise, that will take weeks to disappear.

This machine functions okay I guess but I see no difference in my skin. It's really just a strong exfoliator. You can get the same results with a sea sponge loofa. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be, too. Will take up lots of space to store and honestly, not worth it.

I researched this machine and ordered it based on pretty good reviews. I received it promptly, packaged well. It looked fine, but upon assembling it and plugging it in there was ZERO suction. The motor made a "whirrrr" sound but gauge did not budge...the machine I received did not work at all. I was pleased with the return process.

The tips are very nice, but the machine has no suction. Literally, the dial does not move at all when I turn it on.

The product works well but was missing some pieces and the instruction manual.

Suction is poor!! Maximum is 5 Hg and that is less than what is recommended for sensitive skin. What a waste of money.

Update: In order to improve the suction, I added 2 rings inside the diamond tip. The maximum increased to 20.

Came broken for the first time. I replaced it. After my fourth use I can't see any improvements on my skin

As an Aesthetician who is used to using the New Apeel Diamond Tome Microdermabrasion machine, this one is terrible in comparison.

It may or may not be good. Instructions did NOT cover my model and I have no idea how to hook up what looks like brushes. The info that came with it was of no help. I have never used one before.

Comes with no instruction or directional manuals! In a poorly packaged box from china. Def not what I was expecting especially for the price very disappointed!

Device had been used. There were dirty filters inside the machine.

Once I opened the product I could see it had been used by someone else and returned. There is very little suction. I would like the manufacturer to contact me so I can return the,product at no shipping cost.
