Quality replacement filters!
December 11, 2015
Our household has been using these replacement filters with a Brita style pitcher for quite some time now. We get around 2 - 3 weeks of use out of them before they need replacement. I would estimate we filter around 1 gallon per day, give or take. Price to performance ratio is outstanding and Amazon is quick them to your door step. These filters are a win/win!Pros:- price- packaged quantity- reliabilityCons:- do not last as long as more expensive filters.- filter well enough, but not as much as more expensive filters
Updating from 3 to 5 stars...
August 24, 2015
No picture, but the filter has a slightly different design than the Brita. It will fit in the Brita, and will filter water, but you are left with 1/4" of water in the top (unfiltered) due to the design of these filters. Thus the 3 star review.Perhaps it would get a 5 star review if it is installed in a Mavea cannister, so you might want to disregard this review if you aren't going to use it in a Brita system. We will switch back to the new Brita filter or buy a Mavea cannister in the future.Update 9/16/15:I've changed the review to 5 stars because after a day or two the water all is being filtered and there is no standing water in the top section.Perhaps it was due to some air still in the body of the filter, but for whatever reason the filter works identically to the Brita in our Brita containers. So clear sailing if you buy them, and it is a good value.
Excellent Product! No black specs, and lovely low price.
May 9, 2015
I have to say, this is an excellent off-brand filter. I have the regular, plain-jane-no-thrills Brita brand container. I actually like this brand BETTER than the name-brand Brita filters (which I had previously been using). While I couldn't honestly taste a difference in the water, I FEEL like this one may have filtered even better, just due to the fact that the water filtered through slower than the Brita Brand. While I can see how others would consider this a con, rather than a pro, I felt like water went through the Brita brand filter so quickly, that it couldn't possibly be filtering very thoroughly. The BIGGEST difference between the Mavea brand the Brita brand (other than the MUCH lower cost), was the lack of black specks. The Mavea brand did not release ANY noticeable black specks (carbon particles) into my container or drinking water, whereas the Brita brand CONSTANTLY shed black specks. Overall, EXCELLENT product.Update: While I am still sticking with my 5 star rating, I thought is was worth mentioning that after going back to Brita brand for a cycle (I found an old filter I hadn't used) I can definitely taste a difference. This Mavea brand filter produced a MUCH cleaner tasting water than the Brita Brand. That being said, the Brita filter I used was VERY old, and thus that may have changed the quality of filtration. Also, I think I may have underestimated the slow filtering process of the Mavea brand vs the Brita brand. Mavea brand filters significantly slower than the Brita brand. While this doesn't really bother me all that much, there is a very noticeable and DRASTIC difference in the speed of filtration, and thought it was worth adding into this review.
Fits just fine.
December 27, 2014
Seems to fit fine in both PUR and Brita pitchers. It sticks up higher and doesn't go in as deeply, but I have no reason to think that makes a difference. It has a silicon or something gasket or seal which seals it when you pushed it in apparently as far as you should. I don't know if other reviewers got an older model, or just thought that because it sticks up more and doesn't stick as far in it doesn't fit, but the one I got fits just fine. And, without my testing, the water quality seems fine, since where I live, I think the noticeable quality in tap water is added chlorine, which I don't notice when it is filtered through this filter.
So far so good. It fits just fine in my Brita pitcher
November 24, 2014
So far so good. It fits just fine in my Brita pitcher. I can't recall the name of my pitcher, but it's one of the bigger ones. Magnum, perhaps. The water tastes really good. Really, really good. I'm surprised. I wish there were such a thing as a glass filtration pitcher that could fit these filters. Then again, these filters also contain plastic. So...glass pitcher with binchotan charcoal piece seems like the only other option. But, for now I'm really happy with the Mavea filter and will use it for supplying my cooking water and for drinking when I've run out of distilled water. I currently drink water from a Megahome countertop water distiller and remineralize the water with celtic sea salt. It takes a long time to produce 1 gallon, so I only use this water for drinking and still rely on a charcoal filtration pitcher for cooking. I wish these filters could keep the fluoride out, but oh well. That should really be done at the municipal water supply level.
Works good
August 29, 2013
We use this with our Britta pitchers and are elated to be rid of the carbon that continually floats in the water from the OEM filters. Obviously we can't judge the invisible, but the water tastes the same as through the OEM filters.

Good filters!
September 14, 2017
While these don't filter as much as Zero Water, they do the job and make the soap-tasting junk water at work tolerable.I keep a jug with these filters near my desk and use them throughout the day.Let's face it, tap water is basically poisonous these days. These are sufficient enough to remove the harmful chlorine and chlorine byproducts as well as improve taste enough to make it tolerable.
Going Green with Mavea
June 21, 2016
I love the water filters from Mavea, and I typically stretch it beyond the recommended usage. Definitely can tell a difference between this and other brand filters like brita. Between brita and tap water, I can't really tell a difference. Between Mavea and tap water, I can definitely tell a difference (and my sense of taste admittedly isn't that good). I had actually bought a second pitcher for my office I like them so much. The 3 pack price is perfect. What I really like is the recycle program Mavea has for these filters. After you save up enough of them, they will sent you a shipping label and you can send back the used cartridges free of charge. For someone that is a recycling nut (we have to pay for our trash per bag, but not recycle) this is a great feature. Probably saves them in production costs as well. A win win I suppose.

Edit (09-12-2017): Seeing a comment on my review here from "FatCat", I can confirm that they are correct and no longer recycling the filters. While it's still green to use filters over bottled water, it's not quite as green as being able to recycle the cartridges too.
Succeeds where Brita failed
February 2, 2016
These are excellent filters: they remove all tastes and odors from my heavily chlorinated, rock-hard municipal water. Unlike Brita filters (which were no match for the water where I live), they don't shed specks of charcoal into the pitcher. As other reviewers have mentioned, Mavea is the "real" Brita, which is to say it's the German company that invented the pitcher filter and continues to use the "Brita" name in Europe. In America, they sold the name (and a more primitive version of the technology) to Clorox. Now they're back with better filtration and a new name. This is the best water filter I've ever used, and I've tried tabletop and on-sink units from Brita and Pūr as well. These are hard to find in stores near me, so buying them on Amazon is a must. Highly recommended!
Better than Brita
December 16, 2014
Since Brita was bought out by Clorox (how ironic!), things have changed in the way the Brita bottles hold up and the filters don't always stay in place. I researched and found that MAVEA was the original Brita and bought the MAVEA 1001125 Elemaris XL 9-Cup Water Filtration Pitcher, Black here on Amazon. This filter fits this pitcher and is very attractive. Water definitely tastes better (I did a taste test with my Brita vs. Mavea). Filter fits snuggly in place and you do not get the floating black particles in your water. Highly recommend this product. There are some reviews about the handle breaking and I called Mavea before purchasing and they assured me that they fixed the problem.
Great Filters - Enough to Keep You Going Half a Year
November 28, 2014
The perfect accompaniment to the perfect water filter. These filters last a good while even with hard (crappy tasting) water. Having used Mavea and Brita side by side, the Mavea rocks. The water is much fresher and cleaner tasting. This is perfect for coffee makers, pet water fountains or anything that needs that excess taken out because of gumming up issues.EDIT: Keep in mind you need not throw that filter out when your pitcher says it's time. Base that on the taste of the water. Even having mediocre to bad water, I can usually get two or three "cycles" out of one filter.

February 4, 2017
It works with the "classic" Brita pitchers but you do need to follow the soaking instructions..Soak the filter according to the instructions and ensure you shake/tap it gently to get the air bubbles out. Next, remove the filter from the soak container *and* do not shake any of the water out--- go directly to the reservoir and install. Then, fill the reservoir and let the water fill through. Do this a couple of times. By the 2nd or 3rd reservoir filling, all of the water should filter through, leaving no standing water at the mesh filter. If there is standing water, either the filter is defective or the first-time soak was not performed correctly.Yes, this filter's top does stick up vs the Brita filter but notice the mesh screen-- it's suppose to be above the installation hole. Just line the Mavea up and press down so that the rubber gasket can form a seal.
Great filter, just a little quirky to fit.
October 21, 2014
I like these. Brita has their new Advanced filters that also block the carbon bits from coming back out of the top, but they're way more pricey. Only two comments to make:1. As has been said by others, the filter doesn't seat very snugly into the socket--there's just a lip around the edge of the filter that seats into the very edge of the socket. You don't really get a confident feeling that it's sealed off completely like you do with the regular Brita filters. Press hard, and hope that it's doing its job.2. For the first few pours through this filter, the water came out the bottom very slowly. it has sped up after the first three or four batches went through. I have checked to ensure that the filter is as sealed as I can tell.Worth the money for sure, would love to see item #1 addressed in the future if possible.
Great
June 26, 2014
Contrary to popular belief, these do fit in the Pur filters. You just need to twist them around while applying pressure, until it stops moving.Considering these are rather cheap for filters, they don't have a lot of filter medium; the water goes through it a lot faster than expected. I don't know if I'd order them again.
not bad
October 14, 2013
I was shopping for a Pur replacement cartridge for my 18 cup dispenser and saw that these were on sale at a better price than the Pur filters so i decided to give them a try and although i could see from the product picture that they are different shape from the Pure filters, a rep for MAVEA had answered another purchaser's question regarding fit and the rep answered that they will fit on the 18 cup dispenser. I found that they DO fit but you must be careful on seating them in the opening since they do not have the twist and lock feature. Just seat them gently without too much pressure and make sure that the seal has seated correctly. It took me a couple of tries, but it worked, again, DO NOT FORCE AND TRY TO TWIST! just sit it straight down. The instruction also ask that you run a couple of pitcherfuls through the filter before drinking the water. After doing so, I found that at first there was a very slight metalic taste but that went away after subsequent use.The filter works fast and overall i am satisfied with its performance. I would purchase again if the price remains better than the Pur oem filters
Weird fit but actually works!
August 3, 2013
When I first put it in, i thought i had bought the wrong kind for the brita filter, it doesnt fit all the way thru due to its bigger width than the chamber but it is designed that way. I realized that it was designed to fit that way in the brita filter chamber so that the "filter" head is sticking out and the water goes in thru there and gets filtered. As for the taste of the water, it taste as it would with the actual brita filter replacement but I cannot stress how happy i am about the fact that this doesnt give the carbon deposits in the water. I dont know if any one has noticed but with the brita filter replacements, 3 out of the 4 i had used weren't actually filtering my water because when i poured it in the bowl, it went straight thru the filter and i know its supposed to come out in droplets. This is why I went searching for an alternative...and boy oh boy did this one work.
It works as described
May 16, 2013
I decided to give these a try as they're cheaper than the Pur filers I use and seemed like they would be just as good quality. I've found that the Pur filters clog up within 3 to 4 weeks and they're just too expensive to be changing them that often. I tried the Walmart brand and while they last much longer and filter much faster they do not take away the bad taste. So I tried these and while I find that they work quite well and last much longer than the the Pur filters the water does not taste as good as water filtered with the Pur filters ... not too bad but not quite as good this is the reason for taking off one star. They do however make the water taste much better than the Walmart filters. I probably will be buying again as they seem to be the sweet spot of quality vs price.

Good tasting, but thorough rinsing and immersion still required. Little specks of carbon will appear attune bottom of each filter
Almost as good as the brita version
November 28, 2016
Got these for my EU purchased brita jugs because I can't find the brita version in the US for a reasonable price.I tested water hardness in Two jugs for these, and oem brita filters after installation and after a complete cycle of use according to the jug timer.Brita reduced hardness from 18 down 1 on the scale versus mavea 18 down to 3.Most telling was after a complete cycle of use. The brita's were back up to 10, but mavea 15.
they are easily replaced in the water pitcher and the company is ...
September 5, 2015
Either these little numbers are really, really working, or they're hardly working at all. I can't decide. We have hard water and it seems that in such a short time the little indicator tells me it's time to change. Hmmm...should I be suspicious? Do they need replacement because they have such a hard workload and have filtered out all the gunk they can possibly filter in a relatively short time...or are they sub-par and are able to do very little filtering and need constant replacing?Either way, they are easily replaced in the water pitcher and the company is very environmentally responsible--you can send back all your empties (on their dime).
H2O never tasted so good
September 26, 2014
Like so many others have commented, I really like that Mavea designed their filtration system absent those leaking pieces of black bits that plague competitor's designs. They're filters, they fit, they're originals made by the same folks who made the pitcher. They make my water taste better. They may not remove 100% of all of the bad things that some people worry about, but they remove everything I care about and as mentioned above, they make my water taste better. That's what it's all about for me.Giving it four stars for "I Like It" because it's a filter and I've never felt strongly enough about any filter to say "I Love It". :-)
Excellent water quality and ease of use, with one small caveat
July 3, 2014
I have this item set up on (shameless plug) Subscribe & Save, and the timing is just about perfect. I have a MAVEA pitcher at work in the break room, and these filters perform admirably. The filters typically screen about 25 gallons before the indicator signals a replacement (roughly 95 liters for those heathens that don't ascribe to the queen's measure.) Preparation consists of holding the filter under water until it stops bubbling, then running a few cycles through and discarding the water. Installation is simple, in that you simply press down on the filter until it sits firmly in the seat of the pitcher reservoir. Removal is also easy, as there is an integrated tab in the top that really facilitates removal, and is just a good design. The only downfall is that there are small bits of charcoal that escape the filter throughout the use. This is not overwhelming, but it might disturb some. Other than the one complaint, the water from the pitcher is great, and I would recommend both the MAVEA pitcher and the replacement filter packs to anyone who wants to save money and reduce waste by moving away from bottled water.
Great filtration system but Amazon's prices are Too High
May 22, 2013
I've been buying from Amazon since the 1990's but they are not as reliable on their prices as they once were.I've replace my Brita system with the Mavea a few years back. In my opinion the Mavea system does a great job removing the bad taste of our local water. In fact it makes our water taste great (clean and sweet). When I switched I bought two Mavea pitchers and several packages of the refills from Amazon. I was happy with Amazons service until they raised the price and added the subscribe and save. These same items can be found a couple of dollars cheaper elsewhere on the internet without the addition of subscribe and save. So they are cheaper and no addition of a subscribe and safe, which in this case is not a good deal at all.Simply put the water filtration is excellent but a simple look on a search engine will save you $$

Formerly great product at a fair price is now a great product at a VERY unfair price
July 23, 2017
I greatly prefer this to the factory Brita filter in terms of fit and performance. Unfortunately, Mavea has become VERY greedy and jacked the price up significantly in the last year. Boo!Come on Mavea, this is primarily plastic and carbon particles. Nothing extremely costly. I am placing this last order for 4 filters and hoping Mavea will re-examine their pricing scheme.
An alright substitute.
June 5, 2017
These are good but not great. They are sturdy but do not remove all sediment form tap water. They fit the PUR 18 cup dispenser with no leaks.
Marginal, emergency use only.
November 8, 2015
The Pur filters are better. I would recommend these only if the Pur filters are not available.
OK
December 15, 2014
They do fit lots of different water pitchers , but they don't really fit the way they should , have switched to just buying the 3 packs of Britta
Fits... more or less
February 10, 2014
Okay, I have a pretty old Brita filter. This isn't the same thing as the old filter (which I'd had in there a very long time), you have to push pretty hard- it doesn't just sit on the little rest, you have to physically force it in there, which makes me worry a bit about getting it out when the time comes to replace it.On the other hand, it filters quickly and requires very little prep. Soak for a minute or so and throw out the first couple of runs through. Easy stuff. So, overall, it's okay. It isn't quite what I expected, but it's mostly functional (hard to get the last touch of water through), but the water tastes like water and the old filter was old.
nice britta alternative but not perfect
January 19, 2014
Great price and it does technically fit in my britta... I think? The fit was really tight and it looked like it wasn't completely in the britta filter area, but the water was filtering just fine so I guess it worked anyway? Water came out just fine - no issues with taste or little black specks. Because of the fit, I'm not totally sold on this so I will probably go back to britta branded filters even if they're a little more expensive.

Black specs after filtration, each filter only lasts 1 month with soft water
March 11, 2017
What we received said "MAVEA", so should be the original filters.Went though two of them, both had the following issues:1) lots of little black specs in the filtered water throughout at least first half of the cartridge life cycle2) only lasted 1 month each instead of 2 months with moderate water usage and water coming from the tap being on the softer side.
Too expensive.
February 15, 2016
The filters seem to work ok, better than the Britta. My mine gripe is the price. I bought 6 of these exactly one year ago & the list price was $29.99. Now, one year leater it is $44.99. Either Amazon or Mavea is really jacking people for their money.
Work OK but are pricey
May 17, 2015
I don't know if these really are any bette than the Pur filters I also use but they seem to do the job in taking away any odor or taste from tap water, which is why I keep buying them. They are slightly easier to use in that you just have to rinse them in cool water before use, but the disposing of the first couple of pitchers is the same. I think I agree with another user that the "timer" runs out way before the usable life of the filter. I'm guessing this is either a marketing ploy to cause us to buy more often or, more generously, that they are calibrated thusly for really bad water.
Defective pitcher?
April 13, 2014
We purchased this about 4 years ago because at the time Consumer Reports rated it higher than Brita. I had purchased a Brita and did not like that they had changed the spout from a V-shaped to a square one - harder to pour without spilling - so I gave the Brita to my daughter and purchased a MAVEA. Well, first the spout cover broke off, then we learned that it you are not careful filling it with water, water will leak out from the handle all over the counter. The filters are more expensive than the Brita but the water tasted great with no charcoal particles like the Brita. The filter changer reminder stopped working long ago but that was okay. However, yesterday. my son was filling it with water, and the handle simply snapped off! I am having to shop for a new water purifier, and the Brita I gave to my daughter still works fine.We are still not wild about the carbon particles that Brita lets in, so we will have to decide whether to try another MAVEA,
It's Meh
February 17, 2014
The bad:Indicator told me my filter needed to be replaced after 3 weeks.I replace the filter at the end of the month so it is easy to remember. If you buy the 6 pack of filters, you are paying around $6.50 a month. Not bad, but I didn't expect to buy this many filters. The good:No more black pellets. This one did have some black dust after the first couple refills, but still much cleaner than the Brita. The filter stays firmly in place. You don't need to submerge for 15 minutes before first use, just shake the bubbles out and fill twice. The other:You can recycle the filters!....However, you need to mail them at least 6 used filters per shipment. But don't worry, it won't take long.
These filters are okay, about average, but have their limitations
August 26, 2013
I'd say these filters are about average as far as these kinds of filters go. I use them in my Brita glass pitcher and they fit perfectly. They do NOT take out everything though. I did notice that they do not remove much chlorine, I really don't know how much they remove. I noticed this because I poured a glass of water and drank some, and when I went back to drink some more about 20 minutes later (the water was warmer) it really reeked of chlorine. I have since installed a reverse osmosis system under the kitchen sink which does a much better job of filtering water. I would recommend the reverse osmosis system under the sink over this type of filter. Or use them together, ie. install an RO system and then put that water in your Brita (or similar type) pitcher for further filtration. That should give you much better quality drinking water!!

March 18, 2017
Only 3 stars because I received the filter and the packaging inside the mailing package was completely destroyed.. I had to scrub the actual filter because there was the charcoal powder all over the outside. I tried it out in my mavea pitcher and it works fine, so I guess I'll give it a try and keep it. So far so good.
Thought this was great until I got a ZeroWater Pitcher.
September 20, 2016
I was happy with these filters when I first got them. I liked that the water they filtered could be used immediately and there was no charcoal on the bottom of my Britta Pitcher; with Britta filters, you have to discard the first 2 or 3 fills. I just bought a ZeroWater Pitcher and holy cow, I can't get over the difference after using Britta and these MAVEA Replacement Filters. With my ZeroWater TDS tester, my unfiltered tap water TDS reading is 304. With a new MAVEA Replacement Filter the TDS reading is 275. The reading after being filtered with my new ZeroWater pitcher is 002. With the MAVEA filters, we could still taste the chlorine. Not so with the ZeroWater filter. There is a huge, noticeable difference with the taste and appearance of the water between the MAVEA & ZeroWater filters.
Inexpensive but not the best quality
April 3, 2016
Three of the four filters are fine; however, one of them is completely busted open. The bag sounds like a maraca and I could see all the little black beads all over the place. I opened up the bag and the entire top of the filter was broken and the filter material was all spilling out. The other 3 seem to work just fine and the water tastes good but I just wish that they all were in working order.
Mavea Classic Fits Filters are meant for.. Mavea Class Fit Pitchers! Imagine that!
September 3, 2015
It seems like Amazon is full of people who talk up alternative products to the brand name one in order to save (in this case) something like less than $10 a year. I am all for bargains, but these water filter replacements are meant for MAVEA PITCHERS. Don't you think it's odd that there's all these great reviews claiming these fit both Brita and Pur... in addition to Mavea? Yes, I suppose it kind of fits if you force it in the slot and try to maneuver it around to the best of your ability to create a seal, but it's obvious these filters weren't meant for Brita or Pur (I own both). If you want to use these filters, get the Mavea Pitcher. End of story.

I really don't understand the great reviews here for this product! This filter gets 2 stars. 1 for fitting correctly into a brita pitcher and 1 because I dont like giving one-star reviews.Loses 3 stars for making water that tastes like a 4 month old used brita filter made it. I have used brita filters for years and years. They make great tasting water. These maveas simply do not measure up to the britas; I will be going back to britas for sure- even if they cost a bit more. The maveas DO filter much more quickly than the britas do, but it also tastes like the filter less.havent used Pur so no comment on that.good luck!

The first filter that I opened looked a bit scratched up as if it had been used, and after running water through it a good 30 times, carbon particles are still very abundant! I'm assuming I just got a crappy filter, but I'll update once I open the next one. Maybe I should contact the company..?
filters don't filter 2 out of 3
March 30, 2014
WHen I first purchased these the 6 pack was a great deal but now they have gone up. However I love the Mavea and will continue to buy the filters. Just check the pricing on different size packages each time.I do find they last different amount of times depending on how the water is where I have the pitchers. We have a second home we take care of and there the water is better than my full time residence so they last a very long time.EDITED REVIEW 9/6/2016After several years with Mavea, I am seriously considering chosing a different filter process. I have had problems with the water not tasting good many times with these filters. I called the company and they are very supportive with every thing but the filter issue. I cannot say enough about how they handle problems with the pitcher or indicator but when it comes to the quality of the water after using; they tend to blame me or the water etc. These are NOT cheap if you cannot use them. RIght now I am on my 3rd filter and no difference; I have washed the pitcher religiously every week; let the water run for a while before putting into the pitcher trying to see if that helped; even taken the filter out to pour out the residue of water that will stay under the filter in case that was the problem which is NOT FUN. Nothing helps. Our water still taste like it does out of the top (a small bit better but not much to be 100% accurate). If anyone has had this problem I really wish they would post. Thank you.

November 10, 2015
Wasted my money. Description says compatible with brita pitchers. It wasn't. it was too tall so brita lid doesn't fit.

Misadvertised as fitting every britta filter, it will only fit newer models.
Does not fit Pur DS-1800Z
December 15, 2014
It did NOT fit my DS-1800Z Pur water filter. MAVEA claimed it would fit. I tried and tried but it would not. I would have broken the darn thing if I tried any harder.

So My tap water is already pretty alkaline(though polluted with chemicals)
October 21, 2017
I bought these filters to try and boost the alkaline level of water from my Berkey water filter. Right away I noticed the filtered Berkey put through the Mavea filter tasted more acidic so I ordered ph tester drops and the results were interesting. The tap water here in Salem Oregon is 7 ph and that water put through the Berkey came out 8 ph and that water put through the Mavea filter went down below 7ph or close to it. So My tap water is already pretty alkaline(though polluted with chemicals), the Berkey surprised me by not only raising the PH of the water besides cleaning it, and the Mavea scored terribly by actually lowering the ph.UPDATE to be fair I also tested my tap water (8ph) straight into the mavea and it dropped down to 7ph. I contacted Amazon and this is a NON RETURNABLE ITEM! so BEWARE!!!UPDATE+ I bought a cheaper Chinese filter and ran the same tests and as soon as I added the drops it went dark blue 8ph so the Mavea filter was crap for sure.
I have used this brand for the last 5 years never got disappointed the last two orders they don't seem right
September 16, 2017
What we received said "MAVEA", so should be the original filters.I have used this brand for the last 5 years never got disappointed the last two orders they don't seem right.I'm not quite sure if the Germans had louse their greed or this are fake .Time to change brand, even thought Amazon was great to replace the product I went thru the same issue.Went though two of them, both had the following issues:1) lots of little black specs in the filtered water throughout at least first half of the cartridge life cycle
Are you kidding?

Are you kidding? I returned them because the Mavea pitcher was too expensive.
Different filter than original - very flow at filtering
October 11, 2016
The original MAVEA filter I bought came with a filter with 3 holes at the bottom of the filter. This allowed the filter to drain relatively quick. I just bought this MAVE replacement filter and it only has 1 hole at the bottom, making it drain a LOT slower. Why would you ship out different replacement filters than ones that came in the original? This changes how I feel about the entire product.
2 of 3 filters received are broken
May 26, 2016
Just opened my most recent package (ordered as part of a subscription on Amazon), and 2 of the 3 filters are broken. The carbon beads are rolling all around inside the plastic package. Unfortunately because I just opened the box now, I'm past the date of return. So always open and check your packages if you order these via subscription on Amazon!
Get the Mavea, don't accept the AQUA BLUE
May 11, 2016
I want to make clear that the Mavea brand items that i purchased have always been great and worked perfectly in my pitcher. Its the "AQUA BLUE" brand that amazon ships instead of the Mavea brand that are really, really bad. I got those the second time after i signed up for the subscription. These AQUA BLUE take more water to "start up" and they release a lot of the carbon material, making the water dark. Also, they take 3 to 4 times longer to filter the same amount of water.Amazon played a bait-and-switch on me. Don't let them do that to you as well. If they're not sending you the Mavea ones, send them back.
