| Perfect For Complicated Embossed Cookie CuttersOctober 25, 2017 Around Christmas, this bizarre mania overtakes me. I become a baking fiend, specializing in very elaborate, cut-out cookies, particularly the type with embossing. These are difficult to cut out, because of all the internal shapes, which means that the cutters don't release the dough, so it gets stuck in the nooks and crannies. The silicone baking mat is perfect for them. You roll out the dough, using no flour whatsoever. Then you cut, cut and cut your cookie shapes. The cutter comes up with no dough in it, because the mat acts like glue, holding the dough to its surface. Then you remove the excess dough from around the cut cookies, put the mat on a cookie sheet and put the whole thing in the oven. Easy peasy. A wonderful invention. They take some getting used to, you recipe books won't tell you how to use them.... A couple of Google searches and you will figure out... Great product at a great price!May 2, 2017 I purchased these to replace several older silicon mats that had been abused over the years (kids cutting their pizza on it, edges starting to fray, etc.) These arrived on time, at a good price, and I learned that a Half Sheet size is still a tad large for the baking sheets I have. This is not an issue with the product ordered, just with the baking sheets I have. So now I'm searching for 'true half sheet' baking pans! In summary, product works as advertised, good price, fast shipping. I might order these for Christmas presents for several baking friends! Very good productApril 22, 2017 The liners fit perfectly in my 1/2 sheet pan. They do not slip as parchment does at times. I bake cookies and use a lot of parchment. This will replace the expensive parchment and still give me cookies that do not stick to the pan. I really like these and will order more!! Perfect!!!April 5, 2017 These are amazing! I washed them in cool soapy water, dried them & made cookies 10 min after they were delivered. None of the cookies stuck & my brand new cookie sheets still look brand new just the way I like them! | Easy clean upJuly 25, 2017 For the most part I love these. My main pro is the easy clean up. Biggest con is that everything outside of cooking clings to them. (i.e. pet hair and crumbs) I have to wipe them down with a damp cloth before each use, that doesn't stop me from using them though. So far so good. After a few uses, I am happy with the results including the ease in washing. Ask me later if they hold up after repeated use. Non stick. Left some weird taste on my food.June 12, 2017 When using them (180F oven) to dry some fruit leather, it left some funky tastes on my food, though I read on another review(s) that it goes away. I wasn't sure what I'd do with them, but everything we bake goes on one of these. Sure makes cleanup a snap. Nothing sticks, however a little extra tlc for getting grease off them. Clearly a timesaver for us. YMMV. Another item to clean but they work!May 11, 2017 These are super slick and easy to clean with soap and water. Baked fish on it and the fish just slides off to serve! They don't fit a standard baking pan very well though. The length is a little short and the width over laps the corners. Much better than foil for sure. Here I got three mats for less than what they were offering me at any of the cooking stores I was there at their and they're very strong very durable and I've already used them multiple times all at once and they held up. If you're a baker or if you just don't like cleaning up... well good news their easy to use and easy to clean up... | |

After tearing at the box for awhile ...February 28, 2017 This is made in China and NOT as thick as it seems. I say that because it should give you a basic idea as to what kind of quality to expect. It arrived poking out of the original box and was stuck to the inside. I'm sure due to the fact that it's silicone but the inside of the box was made from a semi slick cardboard with plastic windows instead of a cheaper rough cardboard texture. Makes for a perfect storm. After tearing at the box for awhile I got a pair of kid scissors...the kind that shouldn't cut clothes or hair. I thought I was being careful to stay away from the mat but it turns out they weren't rolled up very neat and those kid scissors cut right through the end of one of the mats without me even knowing it. Now I have a chunk missing out of one of them. I'm not even sure if it's usable at this point. I have yet to try them in the oven but based on my experience with how sticky the silicone is (aka non-pourous, very smooth), I'm assuming they will be very good for their intended use. I was hoping for a thicker mat as advertised and I am extremely disappointed that I received an opened and handled product. Not good for macarons...February 13, 2017 If you are buying these to make macarons, don't. Save your time, money, and frustration and just splurge on the silpats. I thought that it was my macaron recipe that needed altered, but the problem was these silicon mats. For any other cookie they will be fine... which Is why I gave 3 stars... but for macarons they do not work. The silpat, on the other hand, has made a world of difference with my macaron baking. I have other silicon utensils that I have bought from Costso, these definitely don't feel the same at all. Don't know if these are safe at all or might leak out any harmful chemical for human consumption. I haven't used them, afraid to.Can I return these? I attempted to clean it like I do with my other silicone based products, but no luck. I would not recommend this product unless you don't care if it stains. Poor Quality ControlMay 27, 2016 On first glance, these seemed a much better deal than the overpriced Silpat sheets, two of which I have been using for at least 15 years, perhaps 20. Unfortunately, upon close inspection, one mat had a row of voids in the top surface, exposing the mesh. Another had some fuzzy stuff imbedded in the top surface and partially exposed. One of them seemed OK. Clearly the maker has poor QC. I returned them. | |

It is a fiber that is coated with some sort of plastic or other hard coating so that it looks very much like a screen. After only one use, and no sharp utensils, I had a worn spot on one side where the hard coating had come off and the fiber was exposed. After two uses, there is now a hole. I will be looking for a replacement mesh likely made of perforated metal. Don't waste yourAugust 25, 2017 After the first use, the edges were curling up due to the heat. This is not my first time to grill. See pictures what I mean. One mesh with White area got burned and made a whole. It flared up while chicken thighs are being grilled. The Other mesh borders melted and came undone. Will definitely return this product. It didn't do what was described by the great reviews. Why mine is defective and others had good reviews.
