Five Star Reviews: | 68% There are no reviews yet | 68% Works good. December 6, 2016 Water quality here is terrible. The type of stuff Ive found in the tap water would have been seen as an act of war by original Americans. The reason its not now? Maybe because the stuff in the water is doing what its supposed to do. "War on drugs" What a joke.. These Brita filters seem to remove enough of it to lower my worries a bit though. GJ! A+ Makes Las Vegas Water Taste Good September 19, 2016 I love the fresh taste from my Brita filter system. I live in Las Vegas, and the water here tastes metallic to me, and is extremely hard. Like, white spots on your silverware hard. Anyway, this does help the water to taste almost as good as my familiar Seattle tap water. It's saved me a fortune in bottled water expenses. They work to make water taste better May 9, 2015 These are improved, I don't notice as many charcoal flecks in the water. We just moved and I don't have my refrigerator's built in filtered water dispenser back yet. We have chlorinated and terrible tasting city water. I don't know how much unwanted chemicals these Brita filters take out but I do know the filters make it taste and smell better. They work, and they're cheaper online than in store January 23, 2014 These work very well provided you follow the instructions about initially flushing them to get any flakes out. Use cold water only through them and don't let them completely dry out. Good price here... I usually use them for three to four months since I don't use my Brita for anything but drinking, and they are as good on day one as they are on day 90. Great alternative to bottled water. You don't need spring water from Fiji to have great-tasting hydration. Works well for my light use January 4, 2014 A few tips for getting the best use out of the Brita Pitcher water filters: Make sure to follow the instructions and soak the filters for 15 minutes before use. Make sure the water level touches the filters so they don't dry out. This will prevent particles from entering the water. We have good water where we are from, but the water from these filters tastes so much better than plastic bottled water and saves so many bottles from production and landfills. |
Four Star Reviews: | 16% There are no reviews yet | 16% not as good as the old stile you had to soak for ... December 14, 2016 not as good as the old stile you had to soak for 15 minutes, but they are easier to take out when being replaced. Didn't receive what was pictured (older style?) July 6, 2016 I didn't receive what was pictured. Rather, it was the older (?) style with the flat top. Everything seemed to be factory sealed and they seem to work fine. Still, I like receiving what is in the picture. The ones in the picture are the ones that came with the original pitcher. they are good for two months and the water is great March 5, 2016 Don't buy bottled water. It puts a huge amount of plastic in the system. While these are plastic, they are good for two months and the water is great. Even if your tap water is good (NYC water is) it will still improve by running it through these filters. It does taste better and I like it, but there are more serious and cost effective options out there. June 9, 2015 I like it because it makes water taste a lot better, but I don't really believe it does too much besides remove chlorine. I've recently been considering upgrading to a counter top reverse osmosis unit, or possibly something like a ceramic or carbon block gravity filter. Excellent replacement for the previous versions from 8-10 years ago! April 6, 2015 I was so glad that this new fangled version is available... I was concerned, by the look of the product at first when I received it as they did not look like the ones I had from years ago... this is an excellent improvement over the previous 1st generation product... Do it... buy these! |
Three Star Reviews: | 7% There are no reviews yet | 6% Hate having to "prime" these multiple times before use and ... January 25, 2017 Not a fan of the Brita system. Water does not taste as "clean" as it does with similar products. Hate having to "prime" these multiple times before use and the Brita pitchers (We own 4) are too small and these filters too slow at filling them. Think I'm going to move to a whole house filtration system as these are simply a PITA in use. Filter does its job thoght it leaves some dust in water filling area December 14, 2016 Off Couse the Product is Brita's. The filter fit well to all Brita jugs. I am somewhat satisfied with the Filter because it leaves the black sand on the water top of the Brita jug area and I am sure the black stone didn't came from water pipe. Thought I should appreciate the water in the bottom of the jug is always clean. So drink water is clean and it leave bad black stone on the area where I fill water. I just tried one filter, perhaps other filter in the pack might not have this problem. Hope this helps These Are The Older Filters September 25, 2016 I purchased these filters thinking they would be the newer ones that are pictured. These are the older filters. I returned them. Got my order in 2 days but disappointed that the model that i got s the old ... July 25, 2016 Got my order in 2 days but disappointed that the model that i got s the old one.i reviewed my order as soon as i got it & read tye reviews too, everyone is talking about the updated one.it even says that no pre soaking neede.did not expect this.i already opened it sincei need to use it.no time to return it.not worthy of my travel time. Good August 11, 2014 I'm really annoyed that Amazon took these off their subscribe-and-save list. Our water is notoriously hard and starts tasting particularly funky in late summer. We've used a Britta pitcher for years. I didn't realize how much we've gotten used to good water until I ran out of filters and we had to drink the tap water "straight up" and used it unfiltered for coffee and tea for a week. Ugh. Nothing tasted good. Much as I hate the idea of all those plastic inserts in the landfill, I hate the idea of not drinking water more. |
Two Star Reviews: | 4% There are no reviews yet | 3% Two Stars April 28, 2017 These filters didn't work in conjunction with the Brita Water Pitcher? The Pitcher Fill-Lite always flashed "Red?" They don't work well September 29, 2016 Simply don't work well in my area. I have hard water and a water softener but the high heat causes algae in the water supply and bad taste in the tap water, these filters barely last a month. For the record, the description and photos for this ... July 16, 2016 For the record, the description and photos for this item should indicate that these are the OLD filters that Brita no longer produces. These filters require the pre-soak and are aesthetically different than what is pictured or inline with Brita's most current filter offering. work okay not happy with water taste June 11, 2016 I used to like brits water but I don't think the filters work so well anymore because the water doesn't taste good. am looking for a filter to attach to my faucet now. Needed to use a small rubberband to act like O ring to create seal so water would run ... August 24, 2015 Item pictured is not what I received. Newer filters do not fit old Brita counter top pitchers. Needed to use a small rubberband to act like O ring to create seal so water would run down filter and not past filter at top. |
One Star Reviews: | 5% There are no reviews yet | 7% BEWARE OF BUYING THE 4 PACK August 26, 2016 If you buy the 4 pack BEWARE ITS A 3RD PARTY SELLER. You will not get the updated version of the filters. I can live with this but was VERY disappointed. Leaking! August 6, 2016 Very upset!!!! Ordered a set of four filters, all came with leaking particles. That's right, there are black particles leaking from the filter. Had to return all. Finally got new ones from Walmart. One Star February 17, 2016 What I received is not what shows on the product picture, doesn't fit into my Brita pitcher. Some of the filters seem to take forever for water ... July 9, 2015 Some of the filters seem to take forever for water to stream though, which is as it should be, but some just stream right though and through the hole in the back of the filter! These are not consistent! I have switched to another brand of filters! very low quality February 5, 2014 Lots of tiny black stuff keep coming out of every filter. I think I drank some of it without knowing…I hope it's not toxic...When we lived in Japan, we were using Brita water filter pitcher sold in Japan, and we've never had this problem. Brita in Japan had much better quality. I cannot believe it's the same brand... |
